Did not really require anything much for services but employees are friendly and attentive Check in Monday and out FridayWhat I LOVED about my stay is how quiet my room was

No light seeps into the room, did not hear anyone in hallways, to the left or right My room was on 3rd (top) floor I have never slept so well at any hotelConvenient to get around, close to freeway and quick drive back to airport 5 days 4 nightsWhat I wish they would do is remove all carpet Seems someone cooked in that room and you could tell there is a bit of residual smell when you open the door

Older property that has been updated The service was top notch The location provides easy acces to the airport and Hwy 205

The room was comfortable, though the doorway made a tight fit to get to the bathroom That detail was the only drawback in the room The full kitchen had a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, stove, and microwaveThe breakfast had good offerings I do wish the coffee set up were in a different location It is next to the Very Busy waffle maker This makes it difficult during busy times to simply refill a coffee cup A bigger selection of fresh fruit would have been nice as well The oatmeal was tasty and had a wide variety of toppings The staff was very attentive, and William went above and beyond to assist my 83 year old MotherI also recommend adding EV charging stations Overall a great stay

Great place to stay Very accommodating Room was very clean

We had the two bedroom suite It was bigger than I expected Breakfast was great Good parking We had my whole family here with us and everyone had nothing but great things to say It was close enough to places to eat Right across the bridge is a Walmart Right up the road is the airport Good location! I’d definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for 3 nights in April 2022 One of the best places that I have stayed in the past 25 years Rooms were exceptionally cleaned — made it so nice to just relax and enjoy a space that was very well maintained

People at check-in were very friendly and helpful – made me feel glad that I had reserved here Room was very quiet and bed was very comfortable — I slept like a rock! I was a little concerned when I found out that they allow pets, but I really looked and I could not find ANY pet hair in my room Also I have allergies so I would have known even if I couldn’t have seen it They must put the guests with pets in a different part of the hotel because I never saw any pets inside of the buildingI felt that this was an exceptional place to stay and if I am in the area again this will be my first choice of places to stay

Angela Lingle’Johnson (Angie)

My daughter & I have been in a horrible transition since getting Covid! This is by far the best place we have stayed at! The front desk staff is great! I mean super great! Always helpful & so friendly & caring & empathetic for sure when it comes to families and women with children It has a kitchen which is also great! & the rooms are super clean and so is the hotel & the neighborhood! Definitely feel safe I could go on about the great stuff at & about this hotel but I’ll leave it with a THANK YOU! And you guys won’t be disappointed!

I never leave reviews but this place should be out of business I just wanted the hot tub, a long shower, and a bite at the bistro Hot tub out of order

Pool dirty and cold (seriously how are there two dead mosquitos in an indoor pool?) I got locked in the pool room and had to call the desk to get out (fire hazard anyone?!) Shower had no water pressure at all, no shower gel, and no shower door so the bathroom floor was flooded with water I unfold a bath towel and three long black curly hairs fall out I have short purple hair I called to order dinner from The Bistro, and the general manager says they haven’t opened it ever I tried to buy a snack for dinner at the all-night convenience store , but all they had on the shelves were 2 bottles of Pepsi and one bag of chips I walked to the 7-11 across the street and when I came back, the room (where I set the thermostat at 60) was an oven I have nothing good to say about this hotel

I am hotel employee from another chain (from out of the area)That being said I am very picky with the places I stay and knowing Marriot standards I hold everyone to a high standard While the parking light isn’t the safest it seems (where is safe in Portland?), I was very happy with the hotel itself

I as really impressed with the cleanliness of our room, how comfortable the bed was and the design of everything I always hated seeing the microwave and fridge in rooms, it was cool to see them hide it all! The cleanliness was a 10/10, the maintenance was 9/10 (Couple of snags on the walls no biggy, and I really enjoyed the layout of the shower! Smart to put the knob close to the door so you don’t have to get wet with cold water Oh, and the soaps were fantastic! Wife and I also visited the hot tub and pool area was exceptionally clean I really liked the upgraded tiles and trim VS the standard pool look It really made the area look sterile, clean and nice! Although the gigantic wholes cut into the ceiling were a bit of a turn off (Maintenance?) My least favorite thing from the visit was the Starbucks/bistro Not quite the same taste and not much offered Would definitely return and happy to see Marriott standards applied!

Being an avid traveler, I found it strange that there was no complementary bottled water in the room There was no breakfast for the entire hotel because 1 employee called in sick I found this unacceptable

The front desk lady came outside and aggressively yelled at me while I was throwing trash away at the front door trash can before taking my rental car back to the airport She stated that it appeared on security camera that I was digging in the trash She assumed I was a homeless person which I found VERY offensive I explained to her that I was a guest at the hotel She gave NO appology, rolled her eyes and Re entered the hotel without an apology She was thin, very short blonde hair and wore a paper mask I will not be giving any more of my money to your company

Just a very clean and well maintained motel Best Motel in the area for price and accommodations I think I could tell immediately when I walked in for check-in that the management of this motel truly cares about its guests

When I arrived in my room I was not disappointed and had a very restful /relaxing stay If ever I’m back in the Portland area, this will by my motel of choice

Cheyenne Smith

We stayed for several weeks recently due to an unexpected family emergency The hotel staff made a stressful time easier by being friendly and accommodating Special shout out to Devin and Alex at the front desk for their exceptional customer service

Also thanks to the housekeeping staff for taking care of our needs while being friendly and non-intrusive Rooms are clean and bright with minifridges, there is fresh coffee in the lobby until evening, a complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning, and there is also a workout room, pool (which was closed during our stay due to Covid), and laundry facilities We will definitely stay here again in the future Thank you, Quality Inn!

Great location from the Portland airport — very easy to find! Check-in was very easy and staff (including front desk and breakfast attendant) were friendly and made sight-seeing recommendations Room was exceptionally clean and quiet Beds and pillows were very comfortable

We slept very well after a long day Breakfast was appreciated if unspectacular (essentially a continental breakfast with a couple prefabricated hot items mixed in) but still welcome and adds value to the stayOverall, for quiet and convenient comfort, this is a great place to stay

D B

I’ve stayed in all kinds of hell holes in Portland This is the best hotel for the price worth the extra 50 bucks that the other places don’t charge you Wonderful breakfast wonderful staff room was super clean and you feel safe

I think that’s the best thing about this hotel is it’s safe I’m not saying your security guards running around which there are not but I never felt like something was going to happen here in some places you stay at you feel like the parking lot is suspect I won’t stay anywhere else but here

Andrew Stephenson

It’s very clean, quiet, and modern motel by the highway in an industrial district far away from public transit Everything is perfect until you’re greeted by the breakfast included The eggs taste like gym socks, juice is watery, the waffles are actually made of cardboard

the bagels were my only hope – I mean how do you ruin a bagel? They even ruined bagels and the cream cheese wasn’t cream cheese, it was liquid foamy sadness There were packets of instant Quaker oatmeal – I hadn’t eaten that since I was a kid, and after one bite I remembered why – soggy cement it wasYes, stay at the Hampton Inn for peace, cleanliness, and reliability – Avoid the breakfast like the plague so it doesn’t ruin your trip

We’ve been to several HIE hotels and none of them were in this shape Our room was old and smelled like smoke Uncomfortable mattress, smelly AC and you could hear the squeaky pipes from the guest showering around us

Certainly woke us up earlier than we wanted The attempt for cleanliness was there and we appreciated that Carlos was very nice Thank you We won’t be back here

Jennie Margaret

We stayed here for just under a week on a house hunting adventure (moving across the country) and it’s very much a Holiday InnCons-•The hot tub is basically crumbling and it took myself (and the two other people I was staying with) 3 goes with the shampoo to get the chlorine from the pool out of our hair•The pool is FREEZING! And the hot tub jets were out of order (these things happen, oh well)

•The pull out couch in our room was absolutely HORRIBLE! If you have a bad back, avoid the heck out of that pull out couch!•Drink vending machine was broken but that wasn’t too bad because they still sold said drinks at the front desk•One of the front desk staff (female with blonde hair) had such a bad and unnecessary attitude when we had to buy water at the front desk, only asked to buy water, didn’t ask for anything crazyBut I will say that our pros outweighed the cons just by the two male staff members we dealt with at the front counterPros-•The two male employees working the front desk (one was named Tristan I believe) were an absolute delight! Tristan (?) was saying how he had worked two 16 hour shifts that week and did breakfast by himself, give that man a raise!•Pet friendly!!•Very clean room!•When we booked our room, we explained that we would have a nervous dog with us so any rooms close to an exit for bringing her out would be preferable and they were happy to accommodate us•The housekeepers are so sweet if you need to ask for anything off the cart, they are so accommodating!•We also had to extend our stay two nights at the last moment and they were able to keep us in the same room which was fantastic! So aside from some littler stuff, we were pretty darn happy with our stay!

alicia ruiz

Rooms were clean, housekeeping was very helpful and friendly I stayed on the second floor farthest away from the elevator but it was very noisy at night and in the morning I could hear everything

We paid $167 a night and we stayed two nights A little pricey if you ask me It’s still the Holiday Inn

The room was well cleaned but the queen sized bed room I booked was smaller than I expected I appreciated there was a nice size refrigerator and microwave in room Also the closet was a good size but no luggage rack to put luggage on

The hotel has breakfast included in price which was decent and free parking The staff was friendly and helpful too Free shuttle to and from airport Also I really liked the indoor pool and jacuzzi Overall, I would recommend

Nayo S

The air conditioner filters should be cleaned after every stay I pulled on up and dog hair flew out It also made the room smell

Breakfast area felt cold and not very inviting Not enough parking spots The room didn’t have a luggage rack Wish they had trays for breakfast so we could carry multiple items back to room Breakfast attended should also be more visibleThe beds were comfortable I didn’t have to ask for a different pillow so that’s another plus The front desk was attentive

Cole Croley

Decent place to stay & Very close to airportShady area though & if you are a light sleeper you can hear the planes at nightAlso, no matter what though, try not to stay in room 302 or any other rooms similar (like above or below

The room is next to a service room with loud equipment, the flood lights outside that light up the entrance are aimed right at this rooms window & this room is next to the elevatorNow the Breakfast here is Freaking fantastic! Absolutely wonderful foods! They even have a mini waffle 🧇 maker I suggest you get up early though & hit the Breakfast right at 6am when it starts The rooms do have a microwave & mini fridgeEverything in our room was clean & ready when we checked in tooStaff was also super friendly

Worth every buck! It’s chic, absolutely squeaky clean, so welcoming, modern and all-in-one package deal and I’m not just saying it cuz I’m a Hyatt fan- it really is splendid I wish Hyatt hotels spread all over the US cuz after living here, whenever I am on a road trip, I make sure that the first hotel I look for in the area is Hyatt It makes you feel right at home no matter how tiring the driving was

Jane K

Whenever we travel thru Portland, staying at hotels with amenities near the airport is very convenient This Hyatt Place is no exception Staff are really nice and friendly

Breakfast has a good selection of food But whatever you do please say no to “Room 224” when the nice front desk staff hands you the room key The room itself is nice and big However, it is right above the back sliding door entrance So whenever the door slams close underneath you, it feels like an express earthquake Imagine you just got into deep sleep and “bam”! You are aware again This room is also right next to the elevator so you can hear the occasional chatters or service carts go any Room 224 is facing the back side parking lot (2nd)However, the glass roof from the outside covers up the view of the parking lot So if you are trying to monitor your car parked back you won’t be able to see anything 😂Other than that everything else was pleasant

Nic Gibson

It is in a nice location for good restaurants and any shopping you may want to do The beds are really hard If you like a hard bed you will sleep like a baby

Lol The girls at the check in desk were very nice and always helpful They do have an airport shuttle that goes to the airport every 30 mins all 24 hrs You schedule it when you arrive and you are all set They have free breakfast for all the guests It is close to the Maxx train transportation You can ride it pretty cheap and get on and off at Cascade Station It’s a very short walk to the hotel

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel They compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you for sure won’t be disappointedWe had an early flight into Portland and called the hotel when I landed (like they told me to when I called earlier in the week) and they put us in a room that was ready when we arrived at 10am! Super helpful staff Clean and definitely worth the cost

Wayne Beaumier

I’ve been to the Monarch a few times now for a yearly convention and I always enjoy myself The rooms and halls are still somewhat dated and older but that never bothers me The pool area has been built up and is great to relax at

Both the indoor and outdoor restaurant is delicious, while the underground themed area is fun and different The staff is always courteous, kind, and easy to get ahold of They do an excellent job of taking care of the convention goers before, during, and after the event Cannot wait to come back next year

Anne Pettus

I’ve stayed here in the past and had a great experience But that was 5 years ago This time was awful

We needed a place to stay while we were selling our house and had our open house The first night, the keys didn’t work to the first room they gave us, so they gave us another room This room was on the first floor and was very dirty The sink had grime all around it, the shower head was falling out, there was black hair in the tub and I’m pretty sure it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time House keeping only comes if you call and request and they do bare minimum, they didn’t even change our sheets even though I had requested that Oh and the whole first floor reeked of pot the whole time We booked three nights and only stayed two Avoid this hotel if staying in the area Go to the Marriott down the road It’s worth the extra money!!

Stayed the weekend in the king bedroom Room was okay Wish the sofa turned into a sofa bed

The bathroom was tiny The door was about half an inch from the toilet, took some Tetris tricks to get inside and close the doorBreakfast was also decent Not a large variety of things at all but we got full so that’s goodPool had no towels, and the rooms only had 2 big towels for the entire weekend stay Went to ask front desk for more and they only had 2 floor towel mats avail As towels

I’ve stayed in Best Westerns for many, many years and have only had an issue in the last few years I’m not sure if their quality standards are just going down or what but it hasn’t been pleasantFirstly, the staff the counter when we arrived was super rude

Strangely so, in fact Didn’t really think anything of it and went to our rooms One of our rooms was fine The otherwas disgusting-The beds may or may not have been completely cleaned The surfaces had CLEARLY not been cleaned off as they still have crumbs and some random debris from the previous guests-The remote, which they put in this nice little covering saying they’ve cleaned it, was still covered in some sort of gunk and grease like someone had been eating chips and handling it -The closet doors didn’t open properly to access the hanging area and the safe On the front of closet doors there are mirrors which has some sort of mystery residue that dripped down the front of them-The couch looks like it belongs in a dumpster Truly gross enough that no one wanted to use it Several stains all over it and had a rather musty stench-The smoke detector had been pulled down out of the ceiling and wrapped in a T shirt or pillow case it looked like Likely from a previous guest wrapping it up to smoke or something So that was a nice worryNow, once we mentioned this to the counter the woman got rather snappy with us, the guests, about how it will be handled She told us she would send up someone to look at the smoke detector(which never happened) and that there was nothing that could be done about switching rooms or cleaning The most she could do is give our information to the manager to be contacted Monday to discuss a refund Which of course never happened and we are still waitingAs someone who’s worked in a hotel I can typically sympathize with the workers However, when they do absolutely nothing to fix a clear problem with their rooms it leaves a bad taste in the mouth for future consideration of staying at these hotelsEDIT: And then, after reviewing the information and admitting their mistake, they still do not offer us a refund or partial refund Ridiculous management

Peace

Location was super convenient Sad that there was construction going on and the car dealership next door had car alarms going off about every few hours day and night The room had some literal scorch marks from prior guests which hadn’t been repaired yet

Would stay again for convenience to activities

The staff and amenities here are great Pool and hot tub are 24/7 Destiny and Taylor were two staff members that we interacted with & made our stay enjoyable

They work so hard and wear so many hats, I couldn’t do it, but they do it with a smileBreakfast was versatile, about what you would expect I eat super healthy so the food wasn’t necessary my cup of tea But for a weekend is was fine Biscuits and gravy were a special treatThey also have coffee available in lobby at all times, a nice bonusRooms were nice, I slept great in the bed Everything was clean enoughI would stay here again and recommend to all seeking accommodations

Very impressed with the personable nature of check-in The nice young man at the counter (Taylor, I believe?) was extremely busy, checking in several people, yet when I walked in the door, his face lit up, he gave me a big wave and a smile, and said that he’d be right with me I was so surprised that I turned to see who he was looking at behind me

It was as if we were long lost friends He was fast and efficient, got through everyone quickly, was very courteous and friendly, told me exactly how to get in, best place to park, etc etc I do travel a lot, and such a warm response has NOT been the norm lately, unfortunately Seriously, he was so nice that I kept wondering if somehow we knew each other, but I noticed that he treated everyone the same way Very cool! It sure helps to relax and settle down when the check-in is so pleasant The motel was nice, everything seemed to be in “like-new” condition, room was clean, with hardwood(luxury vinyl) floors, so no worries about dust, allergies, and dirty carpet Bed was very comfy, not too soft or firm, with lots of extra pillows My only complaint was breakfast time: It didn’t open until 7 am during the week, which seems a bit late (maybe because it was still the tail-end of COVID?) I had to be out of there by 6:30 so I couldn’t comment on the quality of their breakfast, but at least they had fresh coffee for me to grab as I left, and, there is a Safeway next door, so there was plenty of fresh baked goods and food to grab and go nearby

Great little spot Room was super clean and the none carpet was awesome! Our 2 little dogs liked all the spots to sit and the fact that the window opened out to a green spaceThe breakfast was as expected—decent

Pool was great!!If we’re in the area again we’d stay here for sure

I booked a room close to the airport since my parents flight was arriving close to midnight When checking in, the lady at the front desk decided to have a fifteen minute conversation with her coworker about other guests that had just checked in Once she finished her conversation, I tried to check into my room

I confirmed that it would be handicap and service dog friendly; however, the lady said she was not notified that I needed these accommodations and blamed it on the third party that I booked through She then called the third party and had an argument with them over the phone about whose responsibility it is to accommodate my request After getting off the phone, she told me I would have to leave because they do not accommodate for dogs in certain rooms due to a bad flea outbreak last year I left with no room, no refund, and tired parents 🙁

We booked a room at front and back end of trip for the park and fly option When we arrived we were unable to get in lobby After yelling through a window front desk person let us in astonished that we didn’t know they had to keep locked due to homeless problem

She then stated she would not leave her car there, better to park at airport After a 4 hour drive after careful planning this was not what we wanted to hear We decided to change our plans and park at airport and canceled the reservation for the night of return Very disappointing Only thing good was a comfortable bed and a 3am wakeup call that actually happened

Unpleasant check-in experience probably soured my stay, but the staff was rude and unhelpful The room was not fully cleaned Garbage was still in the cans

They would not honor my reservation and charged me for the services of the hotel that I was unable to use I will not stay here again Lesson learned Oh and the room was full of ants
