Jessica Stallings

This specific hotel itself was great Stuff happens and things break My room was almost $250 for my kids and I

This was supposed to be a special experience and memory for them as it was their first competition They are young Didn’t need to purchase a hotel room we don’t live that far but wanted them to be well rested Both AC units could not keep up with the room It happens I didn’t make a big deal about it because I work outside for the most part all year round Was still trying to make it a positive, memorable experience for my two Littles Maintenance couldn’t come till 9pm The room on both sides were close to 80 Staff and management were kind, respectful, and did what they can Hilton however, their customer service was incompetent, unprofessional, and wasted my time The hotel itself has no way to help in this situation after you leave because the advance payment was through Hilton DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE OR THROUGH HILTON Pay Doubletree if possible

I am updating this review as the management did such a wonderful job, and really made this a terrific stay Thank you so much for ensuring this was a wonderful trip, while visiting my daughter nearbyThe staff has been very friendly and accommodating

The room is clean and the service is more than expected The room is ample and everything is very clean and comfortable Our view is beautifulAlso the restaurant downstairs is really tasty and not too pricey The service there is lovelyThere is a Starbucks here which does make things convenient, and parking is easy with more than enough room for customers and any visiting guests

Loved it We came to Navy graduation, and this hotel is just close enough, without being stuck in the city Awesome staff, quick check in, great rooms with very good matresses

Everything super clean! We did come during some type of competition for cheerleading, so hotel was super busy at the lobby, but the staff still made time and helped us Super awesome crew!

marina bograd

The staff was great and space was plentifulAnd that’s itCleanliness was an issue The hotel appears worn out and neglected

Wall paper is peeling off the walls Glass doors and window appear like they haven’t been washed on weeks and floors were sticky (including the rug in the room)The space has potential to become an amazing venue Hope someone notices

I would have given 5 stars for room, but I must be honest about some finishes in the bathroom A little tired, but overall, such a pleasant stay and worth the extra to stay The evening reception was laid back and had a terrific bartender

The other bartender in the restaurant was also fantastic, giving us a tip in a local Chicago style pizza place The breakfast was superb, and the made to order omelettes along with the service everywhere were unmatched! Great job in staffing and keeping up with the needs of your customers

Abdul Riaz

I was pretty excited to see a quiet place It has amazing indoor view I enjoyed breakfast: it has various options

Staff was friendly Erving time snack was a good option Little issue with room and restroom plumbing but overall I have a great leisure trip with my family It was quite and adequate during night time Elevator has secure operating option I recommend it for family and friends

Crystal Vang

Nice hotel and good location Quiet area, and friendly staff Family friendly hotel, free breakfast omelet made to order, free drinks during happy hour! Pool is okay, but can be busy, which makes it difficult to swim or play, wish it was bigger for such a large hotel! Walls are thin in the suites, living area, no door sweeper, and you can hear basically anyone walking by the hall

Overall good experience and for the deal we received it was great Spacious living space and bedroom (2 queen beds, two TV, a couch and desk/chair and single swivel sofa chair, wet bar sink and microwave/fridge/coffee keurig, plenty of drawers for clothes)

I cannot say enough great things about this place My house had a carbon monoxide issue in the middle of the night that required us to vacate Not only did this hotel take us at 3 AM but they set up the pack n play in my room for my 1 year old daughter so I could get her back to sleep quickly

Loved the room- perfect for traveling with kids (separate door for after the baby went to sleep) AND our dog! Thank you so much for keeping us safe!

Bradley Stratz

Nice little place away from home Only issue that I had Told the service desk that I will have a late checkout

As I work nights and sleep through the day While I was sleeping I put the “do not disturb” sign up on the outside door As well as locked both the door handle and door stopper on the pillar The house keeping consistently ignored the sign and tried multiple times to get into my room while I was sleepingi was not able to get a good sleep They need to train their staff or communicate with their staff appropriately

Amy McGee

Doesn’t even deserve the star nor my hard earned money My whole entire stay was nothing but harassment and disgust by management Never once we my room cleaned by housekeeping even when I asked them for it but still never did it the once a wk that they told me I needed to request for

I had to change my own lines and towels and kitchen stuff I also had to wash the stuff because I wasn’t always given the stuff Tried to get my money back from the bank they said I had to go through them Their customer service line isn’t helpful either They didn’t need to talk to management about my claim and they could’ve given me back my money because of the disrespect and disgusting service that I received there I feel bad for the front desk ladies that they have to deal with horrible managers They should never had gotten my money I should’ve gone and stayed at Extended Stay where they have bigger rooms and better kitchens and better service

Everything from check in to check out was great!! The front staff clerk was extremely friendly The room was very spacious and clean Loved the accessible shower which made bathing the kids a whole lot easier

The beds were very comfy!!! The surrounding area was very nice and the hotel was not too far from things we needed The pool and hot tub were very nice, was a bit smaller than the other Hampton we stayed in but was still nice none the less We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here to stay again!! The entire hotel was so clean and smelled fresh which is a huge selling point for us

Katie Sweet

Hotel was great for the price range and family friendly Our initial room had a window leak and we were moved to the other Suite which was wonderful The staff also was really helpful each time our door cards failed for whatever reasons

The room itself was quiet even though it was right by an entry door Breakfast was great! The only thing was the pool area had a few really gross areas outside of the pool

angela decaro

Our company uses this hotel I have been here the last 3 nights I am leaving today Since day one I have notified the front desk that our shower does not get hot water and we need to change roomsThree different desk clerks have denied my request

their solution was telling me to run the water longer which did not resolve anything leaving us with 3 days of cold showers Our company will not be using this hotel moving forward

good morning, Good hotel, excellent location, very clean and comfortable and very good breakfast

Only the employee Wilma A was not friendly at all, she questioned my arrival time when there was already an arrival note, instead to receive the guest with a smile that is only what is asked of a worker because he not only refuted and I felt like a scolded child I hope that in my next stay there because I am going to return I will not run into that employee because it could be the last time that she uses that hotel but otherwise very good hotel and service

Many pot holes in road surface, of hotel property Poor lighting, so that walking from car to front door you have the risk of tripping Towel replacement requested everyday but took 3 days to get towels

Each day multiple people responded that towels would be replaceTub surface was dangerous to stand on Bathroom tub area had well positioned hand rails and a pull down set Tub looked safe However, dry tub surface was very slippery I wondered if they polished it to look good Once tub had been used and it dried overnight I checked by placing a dry foot onto dry tub surface and promptly had foot slid on tub surface Tub unsafe to use, despite railsIce machine did not function on 2 out of 3 floors and yes reporting ice machine problem did not get problems solved Desk clerk said each machine has a note “BROKEN” Neither had a notice that machine did not functionTV remote quit working on day 3 of 6 never fixed despite reporting problem Once I was told that someone would be right up My next call I was told someone HAD been immediately sent to make repairAll of my requests were made after a large group of musicians had checked outThe musicians were the best part of my stay The music they played in the lobby was beautiful and relaxingI will never stay at this hotel again

Debbie Guzman

Big bedroom, with a desk and a couch in it You have a microwave, small fridge, and a coffee maker (but there is a coffee station in the lobby with everything you could need)Everything clean

The shower didn’t drain the water at a similar or faster pace than the one coming from the shower, so you get a little puddle in the bathtubthis is my only complain, but I have to say I didn’t ask for help from the helpdesk or other staff members, since my stay was very shortIncluded breakfast during my stay: 3 different cereals, oatmeal, protein bars, 3 type of muffins (chocolate, vanilla, blueberry), boiled eggs, waffles (you can make big ones or smaller ones), yogurts, fruit cocktail, 2 types of juice (apple and orange), different types of bread, and grape jam The coffee and tea station was availableThe staff is super nice Howard in the front desk was amazing and funny ❤️

Looked very promising when I walked in Room seemed clean at first glance but once you look closer you see it could use a lot of work Bed was comfortable

Tiles in bathroom were cracked I took a shower and stood in almost knee high water by the end of it and found some trash in a cabinet that looked like it had been there for years Wont be staying here again

Timothy Harding

Front desk employee was sitting in the back room while I waited over 10 minutes at the front desk to check in They should get a bell if that is how they operate Bathroom was not very clean and room had only hand towels

No actual bath towels could be found and of course I noticed this at 5:30am Ordered pizza from my favorite place with plans on taking it home to my family Put it in the refrigerator only to notice when I was leaving that they have them turned off So all my food was ruined I will definitely be finding a new place to stay while coming to the area

Stacy Redmond

I recently booked a double suite for my grandson’s birthday and the accommodations were horrible I’ve stayed here many times and never had an issue they didn’t handle but , this time was different The entire kitchen in the room had issues

The garbage disposal went out and backed up the sink, dishwasher was receiving dirty water from backed up sink/disposal, one burner on stove didn’t work, and surface light on microwave didn’t work Called for maintenance and was told 15 minutes well, a hour and a half later I called again to reach Anastacia at the front desk who was NO HELP I was told there was no maintenance or house keeping available but, she could move us to two rooms Again, it was a birthday party and I had 5 small children and had decorated the room and was cooking dinner on the one burner we had So, I explained why moving wasn’t an option and asked about the bill Anastacia’s response was “I’m not touching your bill but I can offer the two rooms At no time outside of the two rooms did she offer any other solution At which time I tried contacting the General Manager So we’ll see what happens because this was poor treatment of a customer

Had an extended stay at this residence inn, the staff were all wonderful, friendly and accommodating I’d like to specifically mention Miriam the breakfast host- she was a highlight of my stay! Always so friendly, kind and thoughtful She clearly put so much love into her work and it shows

She made my mornings a little brighter! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, not only for cleanliness but for superior hospitality

Brianna Drevlow

I have been staying at this location weekly since January 2022 The staff has been nothing short of incredible and welcoming In particular, the night lead, Jared, has been very kind and thoughtful, ensuring my stay is the best it can be

He even goes the extra step to include things like extra water and towels, upgrades when possible, and evening putting out my favorite candy in the front desk candy dish when I am there! The rooms are very clean, the property is well-kept, and the breakfast areas are safely maintained While I initially chose to stay there due to it being close to my work location, I now regularly go back there because they truly take care of me I recommend staying here if you are in need of a long-term stay option!

Dee Humphrey

Quality hotel What truly makes this a 5/5 stay verus any other Marriott hotel is the INCREDIBLE staff In particular, Miriam (the breakfast host/chef) has the best hospitality and kindest soul Some mornings I would arrive after the breakfast was closed from an overnight shift at the hospital and she would save me a breakfast sandwich in a bag to make sure I didn’t miss out

She is something special!!

This review is based on my experience staying one time, for two nightsWe enjoyed our stay We love that it’s pet friendly The bed was comfortable

The breakfast was just okay The staff was very nice We would/will stay there againThe sofa was a bit worn and uncomfortable to sit on A fridge was placed in the closet that used to have a door The click and lock flooring is very cheap, but maybe by design since they allow pets

Lisa Zhu

The staff is really nice, the lobby has plenty of space for hanging out with friends The breakfast shop offerings are affordable and look great The only big problem I have is with how little sound proofing the rooms have

For the whole night I was listening to bathroom flushes in the adjacent rooms And starting from about 6am I started hearing banging of doors because of how the room doors are designed to slam, very loudly, especially through thin walls Then the vaccuming in the hallway started around 7am I get it, it’s not a 5-star luxury hotel, but I think some little things can improve to make the stay more enjoyable

Lewis Kay

The staff was nice, but I cannot say the same about our stay We had adjoining rooms and both were horrible!! Mold was in the ceilings and there was a stench of sewage The couches were soiled, food was on the wall, and the headboards, bed skirts and sheets were all dirty

The sinks were slow to drain, feces was on the toilet and the shower doors would not stay closedAnts were crawling between our beds, on the bathroom walls and floors, which were also spacing Housekeeping did not change our linen while we were away, as requested, and because of the issues we kept encountering, they switched our room 3 times My children and I were very displeased by the upkeep of this hotel property and opted to end our getaway However, there is a $50 early departure fee, totaling $100 for both rooms As for customer service: After submitting a complaint and photos of our stay, a representative’s email stated it was “hard to get in touch with me due the time difference” No one has followed up with me since

Check in and staff was great Free bottled water at check They helped us with an early check in for one of our rooms, which was great

But, once we got into the room, the 1st room had a pile of long strands of hair sitting right on A/C unit Our 2nd room had a dead bird that has been dead for quite a while right outside of the window and on the 2nd day, their was a bug (silverfish) on my bag when I woke up But, nice overall area, beds where comfortable and roomy

Staff was friendly, location was great, room was clean but only small complaints The room had a odor, like a moldy odor, I went to Walgreens nearby to get a candle because the odor was not pleasant One more thing was the bugs, there’s insects and bugs coming out of the heat and AC vents so I didn’t turn it on because I didn’t want to get a room full of insects

If These things improved or someone sealed the vents and cleaned out the vents, made improvements to the smell, this hotel would be great! Thank you!

If I could give Four Points by Sheraton, Buffalo Grove, less than zero stars I would! It doesn’t even deserve half of a star!We were a big group We were there for a family event We reserved 14 roomsWe arrived at night and the lady at the front desk was annoyed, as she clearly stated herself, that she had to check in a big group

She was rude and refused to help us with anything nor answer any our questions as we inquired about the rooms 5 of the rooms were infested with bugs such as ants and spiders The bugs were on the bed, walls, and carpet, even under the bed sheets When we told the lady at the front desk, she said there’s nothing she could do about it and gave us the option to leave the hotel which we did We went to another hotel but returned the next day to join our group and we asked to speak to a manager who was very nice He offered us a free breakfast but by the time we got to breakfast, they told us it was done I would never recommend this hotel to anyone If you end up staying at this hotel for any reason, check the room thoroughly, as it may look clean but… You might find a few surprises!

Location/price: Close to everything you could need and for a reasonable price I really wish breakfast was included cuz it’s dang goodRoom: channel list would be helpful as there is not a guide, at least not on mine Bad water pressure in shower and they don’t provide body wash anymore so bring your own

The curtain had to be straightened by me as it wasn’t on the trackService: They talked on the phone with a co-worker for almost 10 minutes instead of just helping quickly They didn’t set up the key cards correctly so I had to go all the way back down with all my luggage

Okay I check in and the upgrade me to a “delux too “ upon arrival I walk in, boom dead cockroach on the bathroom floor On top of that, the toilet paper was almost finished

Did they even clean the “delux room”?? Probable not The pool area also had roaches and other unidentifiable bugs Our normal room we got moved to was okay, but the ONLY DAY they do house keeping after we requested it, they did a terrible job Garbage on the bathroom floor was just pushed to another side not even cleaned This hotel is gross and a sad excuse for a Marriott Very disappointed

Service was fine, and the cleanliness and sleep quality was fine as well, but this place gives off the vibes of an old hotel that has been given a fresh coat of paint, and some issues have seeped through the cracks Don’t pick this hotel if you’re looking for a classic family vacation destination, as there is no pool and no complimentary breakfast (But you can pay for breakfast items at the onsite cafe or use the fitness center that seems to have replaced what was a pool area

) Some small complaints are the lack of microwaves in the rooms and the mowing starting at 8:30am Monday morning The most inconvenient part of our stay was the poor quality of the mini fridge Not only was it impressively small, but it barely generated its own cold We had to put a bag of ice in there with our food to make sure it wouldn’t go bad, which was inconvenient due to the aforementioned lack of space

Fam stayed here for couple nights Remodeled in September On going into room picked up hand towel to dry face and saw somebody had used it as buttwipe/TP

Immediately brought it up to front desk where they continually apologizedAfter kid saw towel and pulled a face they told us they would add points to account Still haven’t seen points or heard back since checkout

It’s about a 20 min drive to Navy Boot Camp graduation If you go the opposite way, there’s a nice outdoor mall also about 20 min away The Walgreens just a few steps away was great as well as the breakfast offered

They do have a bus that takes you to the entrance for graduation From the gates to the ceremony hall it was about a 10 min walkJust ask to have your name added to the list Spent 2 nights Would recommend except our first night the iron burned my brothers pants Woke up to check out and found 2 bed bugs under the sheets and another 2 on the comforter

Arrived at the hotel in Libertyville on Thursday afternoon and needed to change the bed requestfor my room due to recent changes in travel The staff were pleasant and quick to accommodate Room was clean and plenty of towels and washcloths

We went to the pool and the water and areas were clean (and they brought us towels) Breakfast was served daily with eggs (scrambled or cheese omlette), bacon, sausage, hashbrown potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, pastries, assorted juices and coffee All was delicious They have a small store for snacks and beverages next to front deskClose to Starbucks, pub and other shops Not far from Navy graduation Highly recommend
