Stayed at this Quality Inn while traveling for work

With my work, I basically live in hotels, and this hotel by far exceeds my experiences at other hotels The hotel location is great, right off of the river front area, close to some stores Everything is tidy, and clean (it smells nice even if the air is off!), I have NEVER seen a friendlier hotel staff (I sat in the lobby working for a while one morning & saw the staff in full action) The breakfast was great The rooms are updated and very comfortable Overall, excellent experience and stay! I will absolutely stay here every time I am in this area!

Ryanna Pratt

Warm welcome, very clean, quiet! Cleanest hotel pool ever! Close to amenities Well stocked snack bar in the lobby Breakfast was great and the breakfast attendants were fast with fresh food and cleaning

Shower was powerful and hot with a new water filter Big TVs in the room with a covered remote Sheets were clean Sandy at the front desk makes you feel like you are staying at a private fancy B&B She remembered our names and that we were there for a birthday trip A/C in the room blew cold even during a 90* hot spell

A great place to stay along the way Check-in was great Thomas was at the desk and very personable

When others from my party arrived, he took the time to acknowledge them and said he would be right with them When he realized they were with me, he asked if I would like another key About 10 minutes after we were settled, he called the room to make sure everything was satisfactory

I stayed here for a few nights The hotel has a great location! It is close to I-95 for easy traveling North & South in Maine I was able to travel to Augusta & Bangor Maine really easily thought my stay

The hotel was very clean and up to date There was only a couple downsides; one was the mattress was not too comfortable & the bedding was heavy & hot Also, the bathroom did not have a regular door, it had a sliding barn style door Note that this door does not lock It would be nice if they could install a hook and latch on the inside to help with that They had a nice breakfast selection; cereals, bagels, toast, egg, juices, & my favorite create your own waffle station Most importantly the staff was very friendly & helpful They gave me great recommendations for restaurants in the local area Highly recommend the Silver Street Tavern & the Lions Den

Quyen Mark

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in The rooms are bright and welcoming Front desk are friendly and able to get you checked in and make the necessary room changes

The bathrooms had plenty of towels This is one of the first hotels I did not need to walk down and pickup more towels Rooms were the cleanest I have ever seen and I travel and stay in different hotels in multiple areas in the world Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Loon Ridge! Our 2 and 4 year old boys enjoyed the natural setting and kept busy canoeing, hanging out at the club house and the playground, and playing corn hole It was comfortable and clean and well stocked with everything we needed Location was great – short drive to downtown Belgrade which has some cute shops, bakeries, etc

Highly recommend!

Meaghan Tanklefsky

A very peaceful Maine getaway Cabins are clean and very cozy, overlooking the lake You can take canoes, kayaks for free

Our kitchen was well-stocked, beds very comfortable Owners kind and friendly One small downside is the sound of traffic from the main road, not many amenities in the area but you don’t really need to leave! We will definitely be back!

Amer 10

Amazing place to have relaxing vacations, it’s out of this world how calm and relaxed everything is, really wish more people try it It has an amazing river with kayaks, paddle boats and even jet skies, but whats even more amazing are the cabins, it really surprised me how nature-like the place is and how updated in its technology it was, one of the most confortable night I have ever had, and trust me when I say that I don’t like to sleep out of my house Definitely recomended

I wanted to give 3 stars, but since my room was clean and comfortable, I bumped it up to 4 stars based on my room I was very hesitant to stay here based on some bad reviews Hallways and elevators give a bad impression

Check in office person, not very welcoming Once in my room, I did a inspection thinking it would fail Everything was clean Carpet looked like it could use a deep shampoo Some rips in the bedding and cigarette burns on bathroom counter ( non smoking room) But it was surprisingly clean and comfortable There was some very unfriendly, shady looking people in building, and my neighbor kept slamming their door Also you can hear everything going on in hallway I was impressed with the maid service and room was comfortable and thats what saved the review

I travel throughout New England for work and am a Best Western Diamond rewards member With the exception of my stay at the Waterville, Maine location my expectations have always been exceeded at every Best Western location I’ve stayed at( have Stayed 20 plus times over the last 7 months) Usually the hotel is clean and inviting, has friendly competent staff, easy access doors, facility smells nice and so on

My experience at Best Western Waterville was far different than what I have experienced at many of their other locations First, I had difficulty getting into my room as neither key worked, I called to front desk and was told someone would be up with a key that worked A gentleman came up asked for my 2 keys and tried them( they didn’t work) He then used the key he had and opened the door, he mentioned to me to keep the keys away from electronics ( referencing my cell phone) I let him know I had tried the keys as soon as I arrived at the room( had not taken my cell phone out of my purse to call front desk until after trying keys) Shortly after that, I grabbed one of the hotel carts to bring my work bags up to my room If you are trying to enter the hotel through any door other than the front with luggage on a cart( good luck) It is impossible to hold the door open, push the cart over the hump at the threshold and actually get inside the hotel(was not impressed) Also, as mentioned in other reviews the hallways and elevators do not give a good first impression and they are smelly( very strong cleaning agent present) as if they are trying to mask some pungent odor Fortunately the room was surprisingly clean and the bed was comfortable I was relieved the room did not reek of the smell in the hallways and elevator as I would have had to make other lodging arrangements On a positive note, breakfast was offered and there was an indoor heated pool The reason I have utilized Best Western up to this point is that they have offered great amenities They have offered a clean, inviting space in the common areas as well as individual rooms This location just was not on par with what I have experienced at other Best Western locations, I’m hopeful I don’t run upon another location like this

Sean Quinlan

Worst Western Very outdatedThe restaurant gave me the creeps

Super dark and smellyMy rook stunk like stale cigarette smoke and mildewWhile walking through the hallways, it was obvious by the smell that people smoke inside roomsThe door to my room didn’t close on its own, I had to force it shut Kind of a concern considering the type of people who were also staying there Lots of sketchy characters loitering in the parking lotThe bed felt like it was about 40 years old I could feel every springHairs in the bathroom and around the bed upon check inThe room didn’t get cleaned once during my three-night stayI give two stars because the water pressure was good

The woman that was working the night of April 13th of amazing we ended up having to stop due to the weather and the first hotel our family called about were rude and basically told us we were out of luck because they assumed we were looking to use the room to party Then we came to Fireside and the woman was welcoming and so helpful especially since we were both stressed so she was a breath of fresh air The room was clean and absolutely gorgeous, they had everything for breakfast, and literally every person we encountered there were just amazing but the first woman was our lifesaver

Spotlessly clean, you could have eaten off the floor! The Management went out of their way to accommodate me and provide little extras and services at no additional charge I rely on a Service Dog, I wastreated extremely professionally and was only asked the question that the American Disabilities Act deems legal to inquire of someone who utilizes a Service Animal I am so impressed

Definitely will stay here again, Definitely will put up my out-of-town guests here in the future

Sasha Kriger

I stayed there with my family for one night Everything in regards to room and the room setting is fine all was clean and room was ready waiting for us The most awkward thing happened when we arrived for breakfast

It was 9AM, there were only eggs in hot dishes, we asked if there was something else, we received not so pleasant reply from DeAnna she said that it was all we got and nothing else was offered, not even cinnamon rolls To my disappointment five minutes latershe brought the sausages and bacon to the other table* noticing, it was coveredup by another plate for no one to see I came to DeAnna and wondered why were we offered sausages or anything else like that She told me that she can fry it up for us too as she has seen my anger I DO NOT NEED FAVOR I paid for breakfast to be included in the price It seems discrimination still takes place Terrible lies had a place to be as well as disrespect towards the guests I will contact management of this hotel It is terrible, ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES remember that If I could put zero stars I WOULD DEFINITELY DO IT

Up in ME early November as my wife decided we should have a waterfront house in Maine to get away from the heat & humidity of Coastal NC Suite was great! I’m used to them being long lengthwise (Cary NC or Mishawaka IN) whereas this was large in width with a door between the living and sleeping area As usual HIEx&S breakfast was awesome

(This was before Biden blew up the economy and stays at other hotels since have not had bacon anymore 🙁 no idea if this location has followed suit but hopefully not) Very friendly staff and awesome that no mask requirements unlike NC at that timeThe house we wanted to look at had a great location but the house needed a lot of work, the access road was horrible and a neighbor was disturbing We told our realtor to double our budget and we fell in love with a house in Hebron; the only bad thing is that Lewiston/Auburn was closer than Waterville when I flew back up for closing (Review of that hotel won’t be as glowing as this one but a different chain anyway)

Breakfast is served 6 am – 9 am daily There is a coffee pot, mini fridge, and microwave in the room The front desk staff is super friendly and greets you every day

The room service for cleaning is superior compared to many places I’ve stayed If you need your room cleaned more frequently, the front desk works with you on scheduling it based on your needs Highly recommended

Justin Chase

The staff here are the reason I keep coming back We’re in town once a week for business all summer, and the front desk team is always happy to help with the accommodations, even when I realize 48 hours before I arrive that I forgot to book the next visit!Breakfast is usually pretty good, and the WiFi has been reliable, but the bottom line is that it’s the people that keep bringing me back

Room was clean, only down fall was mini fridge didn’t have freezer Stayed 1 night but hotel staff was more than accommodating and even went above normal policy to meet our need Breakfast options were great and staff was super friendly and helpful

5 stars would have been a thing but hot tub was not available during our stay and I was really looking forward to it

Jeffrey Ebel

Really surprised this hotel has four stars on Google I’m a platinum Choice Privileges member (just means I stay at a lot of quality and comfort inns for work) and this is way lower quality than most of quality inns I’ve seen This is honestly closer to looking like an Econo Lodge

Dirty hallways, rusty door/scanner plates, the bathroom on the room was miniature, and the hotel is just overall run-down The room was $180 a night on a Tuesday which was really high for what you get Breakfast was bare bones and way at the end of a hallway Lots of cons for this place The staff at check in was great, however the morning staff was less than helpful and courteousThe pros: a/c worked strong and stayed on all night, night staff at counter was helpful

Mickenzy Breton

The room we stayed in was somewhat small, especially the bathroom, and the hotel was very loud We stayed in a room near the lobby and we could hear most of the foot traffic, including some children running through the halls The hotel is pet friendly, but I would not recommend it folks with anxious dogs

Ours did not like the noise It was not particularly expensive though so you get what you pay for
