I loved our experience here I was traveling from up North and really tired Thankfully, Jenn the manager was there

They worked to cancel my reservation that was over 5 hours away and accommodated us The room was clean and comfortable The breakfast was great and good people all day long I really enjoyed my stay here Hope to pass through again some day Thanks a bunch for all you did for us

MRS CYNTHIA A. THEDFORD

Overall four stars given for my second visit to this hotel because it only pertains to the breakfast I would recommend the hotel But not the breakfast

Personally everything tastes like it was microwaved and placed in a warmer And the food chews like plastic I tried 2 days in a row Everything was cold and rubbery Rooms were great Very little parking after 10pm Beautiful outdoor pool thoughIf I can remember correctly, all odd numbered rooms face the front of the property and the even numbers face the rear of the property which is just an open field of grass

I had been traveling with my grandchildren from Texas to Ohio and was extremely tired and I needed to rest I came across this Hampton Inn and got a room It was extremely comfortable and the continental breakfast was great

My grandchildren enjoyed the breakfast and slept very well I recommend this hotel and make sure Misty is on duty, a very helpful woman!!

This is an amazing hotel! My husband and I were very nervous to travel out of state and stay in a place we’ve never been before As soon as we arrived on 12/25/21 the front desk employee (didn’t catch his name) was so friendly and truly gave me the best customer service I have had in a LONG time! Our room was upgraded to a suite which was just an added bonus to an already great experience In the morning we had breakfast and coffee, which was great

At checkout the front desk employee made sure we had a great experience with our stay This hotel was clean and the bed was so comfortable! I highly recommend if you need somewhere to stay!

Apiseh Nchari

It’s at a great location, not far from the highway It has modern furnishes The host was polite, friendly and helpful

He made us feel welcome and right at home Our room was clean; clean bedding and towels Breakfast was delicious I gave 4 stars for service because 1 trash can was not emptied and there were no trash bags in the trash cans

Brandon Esquer

Our family was in town for a funeral We were all trying to stay together and there was a hotel mix up, late at night Devin was exceptional! He moved mountains and was able to make accommodations for us

I have never received such great service from a hotel Thank you, Devin, for being so great during our time of mourning You really did ease a lot of stress during our stay and we could not be more appreciative

This is a nice, budget-conscious hotel in a decent locationFirst, at check in the staff was super nice and helpful The lady who checked us in asked us if we were in town for the game and gave us some tips on getting over to FedEx Forum (which is within walking distance)

She was super niceThe room was nice and clean, and we had a nice, quiet night’s sleep We didn’t take advantage of the breakfast, but it looked to be pretty popular when we checked out

MsLadie Claire

Really impressive hotel with the gigantic murals, modern design and plentiful seating for multiple private settings Staff was polite, rooms were clean and well-stocked The curtain in the room, however, was shorter than the window, where there was a white light just outside, all night long, shining brightly into the room

Breakfast was hot and good and there was plenty of it This location is also a short walking distance from all the hotspots downtown

carla porter

So when I checked in on APRIL 21STthey then informed me that they don’t take cash or debit card just major credit or debit

But Ms Brittany was a delight about servicing us the best way she couldHer hospitality was amazing 👏Got to the room and everything was very clean and I was happy with everything but the streaked up windowneed to do better with that but wasn’t a big dealMy cousin said her bed was lumpy and she was upsetbut my bed was fine Breakfast was just OK They didn’t have any type of juices They had milk eggs sausages bagels muffins and cereal, but the eggs and sausages had no flavor and no season So overall 40 out of 5 Because breakfast could have been better I would stay here again

Our family came here for Mother’s Day weekend We had a great time and it was a very unique experience! The price is definitely on the higher end, so I wish breakfast was included and maybe some other amenities But we had fun with what was available

We didn’t leave the resort because downtown Memphis is a very dangerous and high crime area That’s a fact, just drive through and you’ll see But the resort room was so cool, the inside was amazing how you could look down into and up into the pyramid It was the coolest bass pro we’ve ever seen too The bowling alley and restaurants were great too We had an issue with our AC the first night to they upgraded our room and gave us a discount for that night All staff was too notch There are police and security on site at all times for resort safety We would stay again but not for a while due to the cost

Alexander Meditz

It really is a great place to stay The room was very clean and the decor was rustic and charming We had an interior room that had a screened in balcony that allowed you to look down into Bass Pro Shop

You need to have a room key in order to get to the second or third floor which is nice because it keeps the traffic down to a minimum The one thing they could improve on is the bar they have on the 3rd floor They don’t have very many options as it is basically a dry bar All in all it was definitely a great experience and we would totally stay here again

Carrie Dela Cruz

A wonderful experience here, all employees were so welcoming, the definition of southern hospitality The room was amazing felt like being in a cabin Spending much of the evening on the balcony felt like we were outside without having to be outside with the mosquitoes

The Mississippi terrace was beautiful and relaxing to sit at and watch the sun go down The shower was wonderful and the linens were great quality not your standard over washed scratchy stuff you see in hotels Thanks for a great stay I hope to some day be back

First we were greeted by a very cheerful desk clerk “Brenda” She helped us get the perfect room for 2 nights plus gave us a military discount Third day, we wanted to find something to do and Brenda highly recommended the zoo

She was very helpful with suggestions and directionsBeds were comfortable Pillows were a little too full of stuffing; we prefer a little flatterRoom was clean Good water pressure in showerBreakfast was good with lots of variety Eggs, waffles, yogurt, sausage, juice, etc No complaints at allHallways were cleanONLY negative comment would be floors inside and outside elevators needed attentionBut I would definitely recommend this hotel VERY NICE

I stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Memphis December 9, 2021 While charging more now in addition to regular guest room prices if you bring a pet

La Quinta assigns guests to a pet floor The first room they offered felt like a prison cell block, loud and bare with the plastic shades ripped and dirty I was put into another room that smelled worse than a dog kennel The room was filthy, the air filter was thick, the floors sticky and unquestionably there was mold covered over with daily disinfectant gloss The smell was one of a build up over time I was too tired from travel to leave and had already paid The next morning I was sick from the mold I took the manager up to the room and asked her to remove her mask to smell the room She said that was not necessary as she could smell the mold through the mask The hotel said they we’re going to look into it and have been saying they would resolve the complaint through emails and then simply stopped responding When pressured they ran the idea of resolution around a pole and then offered ten dollars worth of points After that they simply ignored emails Most unfortunately, the rooms in La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham are now worse than the budget motels I had stopped using, opting to pay more for some cleanliness and comfort while traveling The budget motels are now a better alternative than La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham

Exploring IRL- The Quest

The location is a bit odd due to one-way roads But the hotel is excellent! Everything is beautiful and modern The bed was sooo comfortable! The room is really nice and quiet

The bathroom is incredible with a nice walk-in shower and a mirror with lights all around I’m pretty sure this is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! All the staff I encountered were extremely nice and helpful, and while I didn’t partake in the breakfast, the food looked good and seemed to be well stocked even at closing time This is a fantastic hotel! Come stay here!

Jesus Aldape

This hotel is either brand new or supremely redone Everything about it is nice from the entrance, pool, even the staircase has carpet if you go down them instead of taking the elevator The free break fast is pretty good

Ac cools nicely controlled by a wall thermostatI’d recommend staying here to pay less than to be actually in Memphis on the other side of the river

Great location, modern style, no frills hotel Can order a beer while you check in or chill with friends in the lounge or on the expansive outdoor patio Rooms are minimalist style and very comfortable

Bed was super comfy Convenient and walkable to many downtown establishments Matt (front desk) was friendly and welcoming Enjoyed our visit and will return again

Caitlin Stauffer

More of a 45 / 5 experience Yes, the rooms are small and minimalistic, but there are hidden places to store things and a lot of hooks on which to hang things

The lobby and bar area is great; it’s kept clean and there are a lot of games and activities strewn about Valet was quick and parked just right out front of the hotelThe back entrance is right up next to the trolley line and is a great walking street as well Pretty easy access to touristy areas and a lot of restaurantsOverall I would definitely recommend this location and I would stay here again Perfect for a long weekend away

ND Seibel

Staff was excellent and deserve 5 stars: Matt, Kat, Jordan, Leah and Kevin were all professional, friendly and fun Great location Fun downtown vibe, you check in at the bar and they make good food and cocktails

Rooms are funky Scandinavian influenced with peg boards but not a whole lot of room to unpack or store clothing Lost star for design flaw in bathrooms: showers are spacious and cool design but water leaks out onto the floor and from the ceiling above you can tell its not just your bathroom Its clean, no mold but still Would definitely stay here again though Great lobby and bar atmosphere and cant say it enough that the staff were rock stars!!!

Great Hotel! Very friendly staff! We found it last minute which was a blessing! My son loved the pool table & board games available to play! We did have a slight problem getting our door to shut which was only a problem when we left for dinner/movie If we were in the room we could just lock it with no problem Otherwise you had to slam it & make sure it shut/locked

The floors are wood/laminate tile which is nice however the noise for guests above is greater in my opinion If you need a good nights rest I’d suggest top floor!

FatherHog

I have had great experiences with Try Hotels This one has been less than It’s hard to describe

Where they are usually clean and polished, this one is a bit less so The hall carpets are not dirty, but look like they haven’t been vacuumed recently The bathroom floor is a bit slick like it has a soap film on it The front desk actually asked me why I was even in town, like they were surprised I chose to be here Spoke rather disparaging of the area and stated she would prefer to be somewhere else Very friendly person, but need to be less open on their own feelings about this place Overall a decent place to overnight Just needs more care in presentation

Aisha Shaharyar

This hotel is brand new , the manager came to ask pretty much everyone , how was their stay ? Personal approachThe only drawback is there is no microwave in the room Refrigerator doesn’t have freezer

however the display of the thermostat wasn’t showing screen correctly The pancake maker was awesome as it was completely automatic! We loved it

I would highly advise people to READ THE REVIEWS!!!! Please! This hotel will not disappoint you The room is amazingly clean The area is quiet, the outside is CLEAN

We felt safe Clean linen (even though I travel with my own), soft water and I could go on Every other Hotel we looked at in the area had the worst reviews When you are booking a room, you are taking a chance, and have no idea what you are getting yourself into; but I promise you, this place will not disappoint……READ THE REVIEWS When people take their time time to write a review, LISTEN!!!

Lana B

Close to interstate close to casino close to stores not in the best area but no one is robbing and killing like Memphis so consider yourself safe Plus police is always in the area The room was pretty decent air condition did what it was suppose to, they do have smoking rooms for those who smoke

No bed bugs in the room I had so that’s a good thing Pretty okay for $80 bucks a night

I am sorry for this low rating I gave two stars for its clean decent bathroom It is just that the hotel is old and outdated and has some musty smell

The air-conditioner is on the wall and located very near to one of the queen beds When it is on, it is so loud I couldn’t sleep all nightThe breakfast we had was not impressive either The muffin was stale My kid said the scrambled eggs tasted funny Even the ice water has some rusty taste to it

Jake Korinek

This place is rundown and dingy It is an inexpensive place to stay, but it’s not worth the cost savings There are mold issues and a general lack of maintenance that make this place iffy at best

The breakfast is decent and the staff is nice, but the rooms are bad, at least mine wasFor example, the faucet leaks and the solution, put a rag in the sink Showed up to this in my sink to stop it making noise when it drips Unacceptable**update**Toilet stopped flushing my last morning here Shouldn’t be surprised by it at this point

Michelle Malais

Security is a problem!! One of our family’s vehicles was broken into (smashed window added $450 to the stay) along with 5 other vehicles According to the police it’s a common occurrence and could be avoided with a security guardFor the price of the room, I would stay somewhere else because they do not spend money on upgrading or fixing things in the building

There were many obvious repairs that were needed and neglected Our room with a king bed was very small We were grateful we didn’t experience bed bugs Do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews, unfortunately we didn’t see them until we were checked in and thought maybe people were exaggerating, they weren’t!

I had the pleasure to stay here recently! I cannot thank the team enough for a terrific stay The apartment was really well designed with superb furniture, comfy beds and everything one could need, including very thick and high quality towels The location is really ideal and best of all was the heated pool and hot tub, which was indeed like a private paradise – perfect after a long winters day of work!

Kimberly Lewis

A great place to stay I’m coming back again! The place is kind of concealed, in a building ( As you don’t think much til you get inside)! Then, once inside the apartment, it’s beautiful! The apartment has a full kitchen, so you can cook food other than go out and spend money

The pool is enclosed around back and the water is really warm Along with the hot tub being hot !! Note, if you have 3 people, please bring sheets and blankets, and extra towels, as we didn’t specify 3 people, so we were short on these items The coffee is located in capsules, in freezer! But there were only 4 capsules, so if you are a big coffee drinker, bring your own coffee maker and coffee Free washer and dryer to use in the basement If you want to stay down in basement while your clothes are washing, bring your own chair!

Gia Rbk

Great location, really impossible to beat! The unit was extremely clean and nicely distributed Pool and hot tub was so nice after a warm day exploring the city The customer service were nice to use and helped us with all the information we needed as well, they answered promptly and the check in process was a breeze without the annoying process of the hotels, self-check in with a unique code, contactless and fast

We will be back soon!

After a awful experience an a Hampton Inn in Memphis It was a great pleasure to walk in the doors of this hotel The aroma, decor and staff were all wonderful

And the pleasant aroma was throughout every space in the hotel Just awesome! Rooms were spacious, modern decor and amenities What I love the most about the room there was no carpet or shower curtains (which in my opinion all hotels should have they harbor and breed filth) There breakfast was the bestI know I gained at least 5 pounds from those delicious grits and eggs! Great hotel! And the view driving into Memphis each morning was amazing!

Etta Terrell

What you expect from a good hotel! Clean, comfortable and hospitable employees and a great breakfast! Barnard made our stay a lot of fun! This man never stopped moving in the lounge/bar area He was the bartender, the wait staff and server all in one and he did it with ease When you have good employees like this you best be taking care of them! Thanks Bernard for making our stay that extra push to give a 5* review

Ask him to make you his signature drink it was very good

Rachel Schlutz

Very nice hotel Check in was a breeze and the hotel staff was friendly and informative The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable

The only downside is that the shower got very slippery and there was no bath mats Breakfast was very good even with a large crowd I do wish we had known that they had a restaurant on premises because there is not much in food offerings close by Otherwise we were very pleased with our stay

The customer service was great! The night shift receptionist was very helpful and professional The room was clean The water was hot

I didn’t have or hear any disturbances during my stay The breakfast had a good variety The breakfast was also hot and fresh The only complaint is that I only got to stay for 1 night I definitely recommend this location!!!

Negatives: The room we had did not have any hot water in the shower or sink I called the front desk and reported that there was no hot water The guest service gentleman on duty said that I needed to turn the shower hot water on just short of full on, wait a few seconds and it would be hot

Tried that several times No hot water I notified him of the continued issue Asked if possibly a reduction in the room rate to compensate for no hot water He stated, he would talk to his manager and let me know No update from him In the morning we tried the hot water again No hot water At check out I notified the front desk lady to not rent that room out because of the water situation She apologized and asked if he offered to move me to another room Nope! No reduction on my room rate either2 Noisy road noise from the interstate Didn’t keep us up completely but was annoying We picked the location for easy on/off so that is partially our fault But recommend one ask for a room on the backside The gentleman at check in told me the king bed rooms were all on the frontPositive: The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well stocked with shampoo etcBreakfast was available and just averageWe use Holiday Inn Express 99% of the time Won’t let one bad apple spoil the bunchMy husband talked with another guest about the hot water and he said he stays at this location often and the water is an issueHopefully someone with interest or authority will fix that!

Everything was top notch Staff was attentive and very polite Rooms were cleaned well

I only had one complaint for our stay On both days, they ran out of a lot of things at breakfast Breakfast is served from 6 to 9 I recommend getting there by 730/745 for the best selection Today 7/14/22 we waited 35 minutes for the eggs to be refilled They ran out of yogurt, plain cream cheese, creamer, white bread for toast Yesterday was similar, bagels and white bread gone by 8 and not refilled Sweet rolls gone I know this sounds really specific but i wanted my review to be helpful This hotel was great I recommend it highly and will stay here again It’s a 49/5

We had a great weeks stay at the Sheraton! The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfy The air conditioner worked fine The towels were soft

The TV was really big! The staff was very nice and helpful! We also ate at the restaurant and it was good and the servers were so nice!! Would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to be near the Cannon Center!

What happened to this place? There is no security I did not have to use my room card for re-entry into the lobby in the middle of the night or in elevator There was no security in the lobby or anyone at the front desk

Anyone could come in and roam freely I was approached in the lobby by someone asking for money at about 5:00 am No hotel staff in sight, outside or inside My sink was clogged Large pieces of Bathtub enamel were chipped off Room wasn’t clean My pillows had obviously not been replaced in years nor had the badly worn bedspread Paper coffee cups are no longer protected in plastic wrap prior to use – so unsanitary The doors close incredibly loudly Ice machines not available on every floor It was an expensive stay and very disappointing Research carefully We wont be returning

Two stars is honestly generous I was here for a volleyball tournament, as the Sheraton was connected to the venue which made it easy However that was about the only pro

First off, let’s discus our room (which was awful) There were holes and scuffs in the carpet, rips in the sheets, no luggage rack, and hair that wasn’t ours all over the shower/shower curtain The beds were small and the tv had no service on multiple channels The body wash in the shower was completely liquid and looked like it was just mixed with waterSecond, the restaurant (Crossroads) It was horrible We never ate there because the staff ignored us every time we wanted to be seated Mind you, we tried 6 times (in the span of 2 days) and not one was successful The staff would not look at us The worst part was when we ended our games late and the Crossroads was the only thing that was open and they would not sit us We then had to go drive around Memphis at 10:00 pm to try to find food (I also don’t recommend doing that Memphis is dangerous at night) Driving around wasn’t much better though, as the hotel has practically ZERO restaurants around it The only nice staff where those at the front desk, who proved to be very helpful in a couple situationsThird, the valet service Although helpful at times, having to ask for someone to get your car and then waiting 15 minutes is not convenient The only non-valet parking close to the Sheraton is at the church across the street, but that is $18 a day Not to mention you have to cross a busy roadFinally, I want to bring up the trolley I will admit this was nice The stop is right outside the front of the hotel on main street There are a couple different lines, and it was $1 per time you rode We used the trolley around 4 times over the 2 1/2 daysOverall I honestly would not recommend this hotel Sure it is convenient, but that’s about all it has going for it(I also forgot to mention that the pool was closed the entire time, but the gym was very nice)
