We have access to the timeshare, so our experience may be different than other guests Rooms were great, we got 2 bedroom with twin Plenty of room for family of 5

Very clean, big bathrooms Great service, friendly concierge Many pools and kiddy pools are great for little ones Super fun recreational area for kids Will come back again!

Angela Vine

Great place to relax and explore the area 2 pool areas, one very large with a kid pool & spa, another a little smaller if you like it more quiet, and 2 more hot tubs around the property Shuffle board, basketball, large grass area for volleyball etc

We have stayed here several times since 2014 It seemed brand new then, but this trip, although still very clean & totally comfy- It is starting to shower show some wear If I hadn’t seen it so new, I doubt I’d have that feedback But, the mattresses are pretty warn in and the carpeting could use replacing (Cleaning is no longer cutting it)Close to wineries, restaurants grocery and the oven We did a tour of some redwoods and the Bodega Bay headlands hike and all were an easy drive Also ventured into San Francisco & loved the SF science academy -WORTH IT and again easy commuteI say this every time we come here- when we look the property is often available for whenever we want to stay and that always surprises me, because it is the perfect spot

Doug Rockey

This is mostly a time share, but also rents out rooms like a hotel Rooms are basically small apartments, with kitchens, bath, living area, 1,2,or,3 bedrooms, balcony or patio Well equipped with all kitchen appliances, dishware, utensils, gas BBQ etc

Has pools, spas, tennis, basketball, and of course, a golf course next door Well maintained and clean Better than average furnishings Nice sheets and towels Will return

We’ve stayed at a lot of “cheap” hotels and this is BY FAR the best! Clean, supportive yet soft beds, fresh sheets, great pool, and excellent customer service from front desk They have a cafe onsite and the breakfast is SO much better than traditional continental plus the service staff was super nice and helpful We’ll definitely be back

David Estes

An incredibly clean roadside motel Staff were helpful at check in Complimentary breakfast is a joke, so don’t look forward to that 🙁 There’s a bit of a weird vibe as they have a lot of long-term guests that are working in the community

Nothing flaky, all construction people rebuilding the town from the fires Just a bunch of people hanging around outside the rooms and smoking But we felt fine and safe the whole time Just not the most family friendly environment

Kimberly Karkov

This hotel was very beautiful! The bed and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was a good size It’s not a huge room, but it didn’t need to be, we weren’t spending all of our time in there! But plenty of room for 2 people to get ready for a weddingThe staff was top notch!! I have traveled all over and this staff was very friendly, and went above and beyond for us many times

They gave us wonderful recommendations on places to visit, places to eat, and even helped us with booking a wine tasting for a large group I couldn’t have been happier

Tiffany

This place is wonderful The employees who work here are very welcoming Our toiletries were stolen on our way to the hotel and the staff (Aaron, Tiffeny and Lisa) were so accommodating with whatever travel items they had to give us

They made us feel at home, made us laugh and cheered us up after a bad situation The room was very clean, well maintained and charming The bed and pillows were comfy The hotel is situated right in the downtown area, so you could walk to the brewery (I recommend Russian River) at night and breakfast spots in the morning (I recommend Land & Water) Next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely be staying here!

Walking in to this hotel is a little confusing as the entry doors take you to a set of stairs and the real lobby is off to the right which also acts as the bar When we got into the room the first thing I noticed was how small it was I stayed in a corner room on the 4th floor

There was plenty of light and windows and the room was very clean and updated/modern The shower was fantastic but I could live without the window in there Really comfortable bed and good air conditioning It was very loud however due to the location of the building But with that location comes great shopping and food right outside I enjoyed this little transformed courthouse

Our second time staying here Great location right on the main strip tip: the ‘superior rooms’ (as of writing this review) are the rooms that have undergone a remodel

they’re a few dollars more, but so worth it Our room was two queen beds, cork floors (cool!) small but stylish bathroom and separate sink vanity outside of bathroom They are slowly remodeling the whole property, so if you want a new room may be worth calling to reserve The staff is lovely, super friendly and really helpful Susan was a delight to work with when called to ask about how to get a remodeled room Occidental is cute and small, w/ only one main strip that has everything walking distance-shops, grocery, and some really great restaurants Highly recommend eating at Hazel

Al Boyce

Great location and friendly staff Located in the center of town so you can park and walk around easilyIf you are a MTB rider this is a GREAT place to visit as you can park in the parking lots in town and ride trails all the way to the beach

Only 20 minutes to Bodega Bay for a beach trip or bite to eat as wellSmall unique gift shops and The Barber is very talkative and knows the area well so good source for info if neededGreat historical town

Jerry Ringel

The lodge itself was fine and the front desk person was friendly and helpful But although there are five dinner restaurants in town not one was open on the Tuesday night we stayed here None

And no bars open And the only breakfast restaurant was also closed (and the lodge doesn’t provide any breakfast So you better bring your own food or come on a weekend or peak season I guess Very disappointing

Very well-kept property Digital check in and digital key were super convenient and easy on the Hilton app Room was clean and bed was super comfortable

Was nervous to hear children next door when I arrived to my room but didn’t heat a peep all night Walls are not paper thin here, as are common in most hotels Breakfast had a decent variety Safe area, brightly lit parking lot Would definitely stay again

John Buzolich

Very clean and comfortable hotel with current renovations and nice pool area We paid a ton because of limited availability this weekend in the whole area but we were still happy anyway Really saved driving time for us and the quick complimentary breakfast is a lifesaver with kids

Really appreciate having protein options at breakfast like scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs

St Pauls

Check in was friendly and efficient Room was clean with plentiful towels The A/C unit has a wood frame around it for added space to set your stuff on

The bathroom is large with nice counter-top space and a shelf above the level of the wash basin, so you can easily keep your accessory bags out of any splashed water Bed was comfortable and overnight sleeping was quiet Plenty of charging ports at bedside and on the desk This facility is well worth the money we paid (compared to another Hilton property we stayed at when coming home and traveling thru the Bay Area) Bell carts readily available when we checked in and checked out The breakfast was fabulous however, the only reason I give this property 4 stars is one of the maintenance/housekeeping workers ate her breakfast in the breakfast room along with the patrons and several of the employees came thru the breakfast room to ask this maintenance/housekeeping staff person questions Seemed a bit unprofessional Entry and exit to the freeway was a breeze–nice location

Stayed here while taking a trip through the area The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to welcome me the minute I walked in the door The grounds are very well kept, quiet, and peaceful

Rooms were clean and quaint, the mattress was pretty firm though which is the only negative thing I have to say Everything else was great!

Hayden S. Burton-Miller

Rarely do the actual accommodations fair better than the pictures on the website The staff was polite, funny and extremely gracious A really nice continental breakfast, major ups on the breakfast sammies

The pool was small but clean and not over chlorinated Right across the street from a decent little bar, deli and a pot shop My only gripe to the owner is I would invest in some better, quality bed frames, the ones in our cabin were super noisey and kind of unstable

Very mixed stay at this Marriott property Room was nice and overall staff was helpful However, two exchanges left me feeling quite under-valued during this stay

First issue: when calling the front desk to ask for room slippers and a hot water kettle, I was told the hotel doesn’t have these items The front desk then said, “I guess you are used to a full service hotel” For the price and brand, I had assumed this was a full service hotelNote: the front desk did go out and get a kettle (thank you!), but the comment was quite strange and disconcertingSecond issue: I called down to housekeeping to request the room be turned Front desk again responded, “Did you already request a room turn? We have over 100 rooms to do today, so I’ll see if we can get to yours” Again, this is a minimum level of service expected at a hotel Not sure why they thought saying this was okayNote: when we left the room, the housekeeper in the hallway asked very politely if we wanted service That was the kind of experience I was expecting!Otherwise, the cafe was quite nice and location was very convenient I would stay again, but I hope the staff is a little better in communicating

I’ve been coming to California for work a lot more recently, and I decided to try Marriott Mainly because they had a hot tub People at the front desk were so friendly, laid-back, and it was comforting after an eight hour travel day

The burger in the bistro was one of the best burgers I have ever had, and I am a hell of a cook and I’m very impressedI cant wait to stay again!

While the room was clean and quiet, there is a serious need for renovation From frayed carpets, worn out furniture, water stains, and light switches that don’t work, the room should not have cost over $100 and it cost far more than that Upon arriving, the first sight was an entire side of room balconies that appeared to be repurposed as storage, with mattresses and other furniture filling up every deck

Not a welcoming start for visitors

Jaquelyne Samuelson

I showed up and was told by a woman working there that she would check me in I give her my name, and she asks if I’m sure the reservation was under that one I assured her it was and showed her my email confirmation

She looks at it and claims it didn’t show up in their system; luckily, she said something about giving me the room of someone she’d called repeatedly and gotten no response from, then stated there was an empty room that was likely mine I’m unsure which scenario was true She contacted her boss several times and asked for my phone number three times Had this not happened, it sounds like I would have been left without a place to stayand I honestly wish that had happened instead (I’d also like to note that this lady was very helpful and kind; it wasn’t likely her fault, but it still was not convenient or professional from a business standpoint)I got inside and experienced the following:-A giant wall mirror sitting on the floor-Wi-Fi that does not work-The carpet has enormous grease-looking stains -No flooring under the fridge (covered in dust and dirt)-Cobwebs and debris in the corner-A bathroom fan that did not work-Glitter on the ceilinggets all over everything-Mold on the coffee maker-Small black hairs all over the fitted sheet-Outside of the North-side stairs, there is an enormous pile of artwork and wood from furnitureit looks like stuff people would have dumped in an alleyway or around a dumpster, openly thrown by the stairs-Holes burned into the comforter-Walls/windows were practically pointless, when it came to sound reduction; you can hear EVERYTHING (people “doing it”, kids screaming, traffic, other televisions, toilets, etc)-House-keeping was insistent on having screaming conversations directly outside of the door with the “do not disturb” sign before 9am-Construction in an adjacent unit began at 8am with hammering and power toolsI left with allergies raging and covered in rashes from the unkept room, as well as exhausted from 48 hours of no sleep from the excessive noiseI have provided photos of most of the previous to management via email and on Yelp

I stayed here the entire month of January 2020 for workWell maintained facilities and rooms with excellent customer service from all staff (front desk, cleaning crew, dining staff, and ancillary staff) made for a wonderfully productive work stayThe rooms were clean and comfortable with grade A bedding (mattress and pillows) – this is very important to me

The bathroom products were a nice brand (Tea Tree) which was also a plus When my TV had connectivity issues, it was fixed within 1 hour When my microwave had issues it was replaced immediately I enjoyed the daily morning breakfast which included hot foods such as eggs, waffles, sausage/bacon and more standard breakfast fare such as cereals, breads, fruit, and coffee/teaOverall, I enjoyed my stay here It took 5 minutes to drive to downtown Sebastopol (whole foods, tons of restaurants and shops) and about 20 minutes to Santa Rosa and PetalumaThere is a large beautiful pool/jacuzzi that I did not use because of the weather Overall, I would definitely return Not sure why this place is only 2 stars It’s definitely a gem

The front desk clerk was amazing He was clear, thoughtful, and welcoming The breakfast was not stocked very well

The housekeeper we had was rude I left her a tip and instead of saying thank you she said oh where is it and when I told her she said fine and went straight to our room to get it I tried to find the managers email so I could let her know what happened and I could not find it so I decided to do a review I looked all over their website for it

Chuck Hardy

I’ve stayed at La Quinta Santa Rosa several times in the past The hotel itself is fine but parking has always been a problem The parking space is small and tight and there always seems to be a lot of gigantic construction vehicles parked there

So they addressed the problem by charging guests $10/night to park there That’s right – when you arrive to check in, there is a sign at the desk announcing that there is a charge to park It’s not like you have any choice but to pay it And then you get to go back out to your car to put the parking pass on the dashboard so that you don’t get towedWhat’s next – a charge to use the elevator? I won’t be staying at this La Quinta Inn again

The front desk woman was rude to not only me, but the bride and groom who brought in a large group of guests She was extremely unhelpful, snippy, and hostile When I went to pay for my room, she gave me a total and no explanation as to why it was $200 more than what I was told on the phone

When I asked why, she threw up her hands and yelled for Tom (I assume he’s the manager) and promptly walked away and into the bathroom Tom was great about explaining the extra charges, which took roughly 30 seconds of his time, I paid and went to my room I know the same woman was unhelpful when another member of the party asked where parking was, she pointed in a general direction and then turned and walked away without actually supplying helpful information I also walked in on her being rude to the groom who was attempting to check in on a guest that requires extra attention due to a disability If it was one incident, maybe chalk it up to a bad day, but this happened over several days and with multiple people The hotel was also not busy, so that can’t be an excuse either Overall, the hotel was okay, nothing overly outstanding and the staff was rude With the option to stay in updated hotels in the area that are in the same proximity and cost the same or less, I would absolutely not recommend anyone stay in this hotel Especially if you’re getting married and bringing in a large group

Richard Bedal

We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights Check-in was excellent and all the staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly It is an excellent location with great nearby restaurants, including its own Grossman’s restaurant

Parking was convenient and they let us keep our bikes in the room The bed was very comfortable, and after we figured out the heating/air-conditioning, the room was delightful

Gigi Baron

I have been here 4 times, all in the Carriage House which I prefer The first time I stayed in an upstairs room with big windows with no shades on Wilson St The room was cute but at night lights streamed in the big windows and the street noise from cars, garbage collection and leaf blowers in the early hours was maddening! Wilson St is very noisy!! I changed to a downstairs room off the street and this was fine

I was able to ask for and stay in similar downstairs rooms on the next two visits The last visit I again asked for one of these rooms and was told “no problem” When I checked in I was told by the desk attendant that the room wasn’t available and I was given an upstairs room instead What? I complained and she said “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” She could not tell me why the room was changed I was very unhappy but she was disinterested The room turned out to be OK but it definitely is noisier in the upstairs rooms When I checked out I again questioned this policy of changing rooms and was told “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” This attendant was also disinterested and unapologetic SoI won’t be returning here since I only want to stay in the downstairs rooms off the street And I guess I can’t trust that I’ll get the room I asked for

Our family were brought back to Windsor for unforeseen circumstances but we have nothing but great things to say about staying here The welcome & hospitality we received from front desk representative Benjamin to the hospitable fruit & water on every floor as we headed to our room, to the comfort & cleanliness of our stay, to the professional & very hospitable service by Matt (the overnight gentleman) whom ensured we received the extra items we requested to complete the comfort of our stay, & to wrap things up… the delicious & fulfilling complimentary breakfast our family enjoyed before having to checkout Had we been able to have stayed longer, with the appreciated late checkout we were granted, we would’ve been able to enjoy our stay longer

It’s definitely not the last for our family & we look forward to our very soon return Thank you Ben & Matt for your genuine hospitality- The Rodriguez Family 😊

I stayed here in October 2021 for 2 nights for a wedding Our room on the 3rd floor experienced significant leaking that left the floors and windows dirty and caused some scary looking bubbling in the walls, including near the power outlets This leaking caused damage to our clothing

The leaking noise kept us awake, and it smelled moldy When we were checking out we asked to speak to the manager but the front desk staff was not very sympathetic or helpful They said the manager, I believe the name is Kevin Vesair, would call us back for a refund We called several times over the next weeks and months, and every time we got transferred to voicemail and/or told the manager was not available I love the Holiday Inn chain and this location was very nice but this treatment and customer service is just unacceptable I have every reason to believe it would be very simple to provide us with even a partial refund for this 2-night stay Kevin, or any manager, please take a few minutes to return our calls and make this right

The hotel is extremely clean and quiet The beds were exceptionally comfortable The staff was very professional, warm, welcoming and friendly

The grounds are well kept and the restaurant has very good food I had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was actually amazing Would definitely recommend renting a car and driving to the state parks and walking through the forest

Jane Malo

Overall very nice stay Staff was friendly and welcoming Room was very clean and beds were comfortable

Nice convenient location Only suggestion is to avoid a room overlooking the bar/open lobby There was a very loud party happening in the bar and even though our room was on a higher floor, the laughing/screaming echoes up the open foyer Not the fault of the hotel, and I’m happy those guests were able to enjoy themselves, but had a long, early drive in the morning and they made it difficult to sleep

Tim Gladwin

Room was decent size and very clean There was a bit of noise from the pool (during the day) and from doors closing down the hall, but we slept well Bathroom ventilation didn’t seem to be working too well but no sign of mold

Reported it to the desk and they were checking it out Very handy to the Luther Burbank Center Good breakfast Ok recommend this hotel

Fantastic little hotel in the heart of the Sonoma wine country Beautifully appointed, new, clean and spacious room Located right by a walking path that takes you directly into the most amazing little wine town called Healdsburg

And, if walking isn’t your thing or you stayed in town late, this amazing property offers a complimentary luxurious Mercedes shuttle (just tip the driver) to and from downtown Healdsburg with a simple call There are also bikes The complimentary breakfast in the morning was really nice, probably one of the best I’ve seen at a hotel of this size I used the fitness center every morning and its was awesome! It’s also close to some pretty amazing vineyard estate wineries within a quick drive Great location I have nothing but positive things to say about this property Would go back again, and again in a heart beat Loved, loved, loved!

Pristinely clean and recently updated hotel with above average suite sizes too A daily shuttle that brings you to town is also available, so that’s a nice convenience Throw in an included hot breakfast and free EV charging, and you’ve got a winner here

The staff is also really nice, plus Rosè the resident robot is a cool feature Trio is only a 5-6min drive away from the town square, so that’s quite convenient Reasonable rates too It’s really hard to find much wrong here

Terrible Customer Relations at Hotel TrioSaid Hotel Trio Healdsburg, CA: “Sorry that you tested positive for Covid Variant 5 But, you can’t cancel your reservation without paying full price including all the taxes, assessments and

Parking! You should have cancelled 5 days ago–that would have been without penalty “My wife and I were booked into Hotel Trio to stay the night of July 22nd along with another couple My wife contracted Variant 5 and tested positive on July 21 We called more than 24hrs to cancel and they said “Too bad, you’ll have to pay full charge ($62236—including parking at $600)”Our friends talked on site to the manager to see if they would consider not charging or provide a significant decrease Nope—the “not customer friendly manager” said—you have to pay including all the taxes and assessments even though you didn’t stay” He blamed it all on the Marriott—The Marriott says it’s not their cancellation policy it’s per Hotel Trio thus Marriott won’t do anything to helpOne night –regular room and all the taxes plus parking for $622 We did the right thing for the hotel and their guests by not coming to stay—and got hosed anyway My recommendation is not to stay at this hotel, even on a bet
