Sweet Southern Hospitality from check-in to check-outReview of Hampton Inn & Suites Detroit-CantonPending reviewThe employees at this Hotel are super friendly and Hospitable They ALL speak to you They made me feel very welcome

Tammy was one of the sweetest I was sitting in their lounge area and couldn’t help but over hear her interact with all the guest I thought, ‘she has really found a job that makes her heart sing She is truly in the right job with her personality’Francis was friendly with me too After she set up the breakfast items, she was curious about what I was working on and I asked her to allow me to explain it to her Little did she know, she helped me get a little nerves out since I was preparing for a presentation that I was about to do with a local business nearbyPros: Friendly professional Service, clean everything, feels like home away from home Located right next door to Cracker BarrellCons: the Hotel is currently under construction, but it did not matter because they don’t put you in rooms near the constructionDate of stay: May 2022

We had an incredible stay at this hotel! We’re Hilton diamond members so we always try and stay in a Hilton, and the staff at this hotel were one of the best we’ve ever had We were traveling for a wedding with a 1 month old baby and the staff went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and provide us with whatever we needed! Sekena at the front desk was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful!! She was such a warm face every day when we got back to the hotel and I knew she would always help with whatever we needed Anna at the breakfast restaurant was amazing as well! She recognized us every morning and was so quick with our coffee and drinks

She was so kind and such a hard worker, she made our breakfast experience excellent every morning!! These two women definitely deserve recognition for their hard work!

Adam Taylor

The only downside is that you have to request a mini fridge and a microwave Housekeeping removes them due to COVID Could clean them and put them back, but I get why they don’t

Ice machine on my floor was brokenAside from that, the staff is wonderful! They helped me a lot From booking through checkout, it was a pleasant experience The rooms are comfortable The beds are great to sleep in The shower and sink get warm quicklyIt’s one of the more expensive hotels in the area, but you get what you pay for

Olivia Battle

My family and I had a wonderful stay here Upon arrival, I checked in and saw my name on a large whiteboard propped up on the desk announcing that I was the “Guest of the day!” It was the cutest surprise, and I got to spin the wheel for a prize I won a complimentary breakfast! The staff was excellent and accommodating

The breakfast buffet was wonderful each morning and the staff was very attentive There was a large pool and gym on the property that I did not use but looked well kept I will say that the hotel rooms are dated but clean I really enjoyed my stay

The office warned us that the site was a reverse back-in but we’ve been doing this a while and had no problem with site 30 Anyone new to RVing might choose a different site The park is lovely and the view from our site is great

I haven’t been in the restrooms so I cannot inform on those Our site is not as level as it could be but again not an issue for us Just added blocks on the back tires and we were good to goCamp hosts change year to year so the prior reviews were from another group last season We spoke with the gentleman working in the office with a few questions and he was great and answered everything we neededFor big rigs the road in is narrow but reasonable just make sure you come in through the truck route from Canton and not through the neighborhoods from Holly Springs

James S

Great campground if you like the state park atmosphere Paved roads and sites with gravel pads Fire ring at every site and spacious as well

Beautiful lake full of fish, too! Only reason for the 4 star is that the gate locks at 10p and opens at 7a Usually that’s not an issue, but it was for us on this trip and we had to park outside the lot then walk quite a distance to get to the truckOtherwise, a great place to stay and we will definitely be backCamped here in a 40′ 5th wheel, site 131

Brittany Gentry

Nice campground site 76

Great for kids and family’s to be socialNone of the children were disturbed from there rest it’s respectfully quite after 10:30clean and very well kept Easy check indecently shaded plenty of clear spacious hammock trees!! Decent showers I normally only do primitive camping this is glamping to me but great and simple for kids to enjoy Will probably come back

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Ackworth (GA) on the evening of Feb 15, 2022 I booked online while we were on I-75, a few minutes prior to arrival The first impression – the wonderful lady at the front desk – was cause for celebration

It’s so rare these days to find someone who is so NICE, and so engaged with a customer, and so competent and helpful Then, we got up to our room – which was wonderfully clean and perfect, so that was a win Our departure was as good as our arrival, thanks to the morning shift person at the front desk She was equally NICE, engaged, and helpful Top-notch stay, made excellent by the excellent people this company chose to represent their hotel

Laura

I secured an early check in online and picked the room I wanted After all, that’s one of the reasons I choose Hampton I love that perk

I get to the hotel at 4:00 Check in time starts at 3 Emma, at the front desk, gave me some attitude when I commented on the sign that states the hotel is not responsible for injury or death if anyone visiting the premises dies from COVID She suggested that I must not have stayed at a hotel for awhile She added that all hotels have this sign I stayed at a hotel the night before and did not see a warning sign like this oneSo, I give Emma my name and said I had already checked in and picked out a room She very rudely told me the room I picked isn’t ready She said there was another room that was cleaned and ready Now why wouldn’t they clean a room that was chosen by a guest before arrival before cleaning others that have not been held for occupancy She also informed me digital check in and keyless entry aren’t working due to computer outages That’s fine but her delivery was not the warm and welcoming Hampton promise I just drove 8 hours straight and being treated like this was not the hospitality I have been used to at any stay from brand hotel in the past My evening was completely ruined in less than 2 minutesOne of the elevators was not working which made for a long wait to get to my roomThe woman and man behind the front desk in the morning were very niceI realize help is hard to find and management is at the mercy of their employees I also realize I have the freedom to take my business elsewhereTwo of the main reason I choose Hilton I can guarantee that on my way back home, I will take a pass on Acworth Hampton

Joshua Finley

I DONT leave bad reviews often/ever however this is the exception I rented the room to take a shower because my hot water heater went out They quoted me $120 then when they charged my card, They charged me $236 60

I didn’t even stay there 1hr to use anything except the shower and 2 towels Completely scrupulous people running the establishment! I tried to discuss my concerns with the error and the black lady who was the manager kept cutting me off/talking over me Showed 0 concern for the error on their part! I do hope that she realizes very soon You cannot treat good customers that way and be successful! I truly hope she finds her happiness however, its NOT managing a hotel

This place saved my friend and I We finished packing up my house in Texas into the u-haul and 15-16 hours later we arrived in Georgia We were absolutely spent but we still needed to unpack the truck

We arrived at midnight and finished unpacking around 4 am, at which point we went inside the house and found that it was nowhere near in a livable condition Originally we were going to tough it out but I decided we really needed a decent few hours of sleepI got on my phone and looked for hotels that were pet friendly and looked for something a bit nicer than the cheapest ones and I saw Tru Reviews looked good and the price was decent so I booked itI was so tired I didn’t notice that it stated well check in time was 3pm 😩We gave it a shot anyway and luckily they had a room for us that earlyWe only had about 3 hours to shower up and nap before I had to take my friend to the airport but those 3 hours were just what we needed The shower felt amazing after working all day and the 25 hours of sleep we got felt like 10 hoursWhat stuck out to both of us was how comfortable the beds were and how for a pet friendly hotel, it didn’t smell like it at allI still technically had the actual nighttime to stay there but I was thinking I would try the house but after how comfortable it was, I just decided to go back and got a really good night sleep the last night before going to the house

Crystal Johnson

This was a last minute trip for me It’s up in room 309 and it had a beautiful view of the sunset The room was a decent size for me but if you’re traveling with a family make sure to get a double beds one

It does have a Mini fridge in there but the microwave is downstairs, it’s a nice hotel and the front staff is really great I did get to encounter 2 of the housekeepers and they were very sweet as well The breakfast lady was nice enough to let me grab some breakfast at 5:56 AM because I had to get to work Will be visiting again in the future if I come back to Kennesaw

Stayed at Home2 from 7/15-23 Our room was so comfortable The amenities like the laundry, gym, & bbq area added to enjoyable stay

We work in a lot of hotels as vendors and we’re picky about where we stayThis hotel is CLEAN, the staff is super friendly, and it’s affordably priced Those are always our top priorities

The mattresses could be a bit softer There’s a few small signs of wear in the bathroomBut I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area

I have been coming here for the past 3 monthsThe rooms are nice but the level of service is really going lowerIt has always been quite nice but The room service is now coming only once a week instead of 3 times per week

The service at the reception is nice but not very helpful Anytime I highlight the fact that noone is taking care of my room, they apologize, they take the number of my room, they say that someone will come today and then Nothing happensIt is a pity, it could be a really nice hotel but it seems that the room service team is understaffed or not consistent enough

David Johnson

The rooms were modern and update I thought I may have found a great alternative to the big chain hotels…everything was great until I discovered the bed bugs Initially, I thought I was bitten by a mosquito or two because I had been outside walking

Awoke to multiple bites and pulled the covers back and checked the mattress and found bed bugs in both places I notified the front desk staff and because I was traveling with a group they didn’t address my concerns directly I ultimately checked into the Hampton Inn across the street and experienced no problems

Ebony Malone

I love the size of the rooms and they were very clean They only have room service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so if you are staying for the weekend then you will have to get fresh linens and towels on your own

The only drawback was the crowds of people partying that formed in the pool are and at the back of the hotel I didn’t enjoy hearing loud music while I was trying to sleep and I didn’t enjoy asking people to get off my truck and being whistled at by a bunch of drunk men in a poorly lit parking lot while I was trying to get inside to my room with my kids

This place was extraordinarily clean!! It smelled amazing The front desk staff was fun (Mr Gene)

They do offer breakfast, but I didn’t take part I had a King size room on the 5th floor Room was clean, bathroom clean The room had a beautiful citrus smell to it The fridge and the microwave were cleaned and functional I used both The bed was comfortable!! Plenty of king size pillows that were comfortable The a/c did make a loud noise sometimes when cutting off It didn’t bother me, but I know it could bother someone else Will definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to do the same

Kathryn Wall

Denzel was awesome at check in So friendly Had the best customer service!!! Rooms were clean and bed was comfy

As much as I want to give this hotel 5 stars I can’t!! My car was hit in the parking lot Hotel staff was notified yet they didn’t tell me Hotel staff even threw the bumper cover to the car in the dumpster Very disappointed with the handling of this Thankful that another guest notified me that the bumper was thrown away by hotel staff

B Smith

This is the best in the area hands down The clerks are always nice and go out of their way to make me feel welcomeFriendly conversations, people that care and always a pleasant time

Right off Interstate 75 (Exit #269) Definitely the nicest La Quinta I have ever seen! Looks very new Clean

Animal friendly Only issue I had was, (which I had read in another review) was the room numbers are a bit out of order Took a couple minutes to find the room, but once I got inside, it was very nice and clean!Decent amount of choices for breakfast Beds were very comfortable! Beauty Rest mattresses Very friendly staff Lots of other hotels nearby and restaurants Good location!

Eric Bennett

Budget hotel with relatively high cost compared to the service and rooms providedHot water was out several times, all washing machines broke, ball teams staying there needing to do laundry Had to drive to Laundromat at 10pm

Location was good Traffic was really heavy most of the timeStaff were relatively friendly Most did not speak any EnglishStay served it’s purpose Would have expected a bit more for the cost and amount of ball teams they’d have to get regularly

CLEAN The building is clean The decor is modern

Location is greatService was fantastic for usThey need to clean the pool daily is the only thing not just right but it was not excessively dirty just needed a good vacuum the 3 days I was thereThese people work hard to stay ahead of all the rooms with the small crew they have and so a good jobOnly a couple things need some work Third floor had some sewage gas issues in our bathroom the first night Same gas in the hallway the second night Probably lack of use for some of the rooms The sink would gurgle when you flush the first nightNot quite enough water pressure on third floor to wash my long hair They’d had a leak at some point in time as you could tell the floor wasn’t just right in the bathroom and entrywayAsk to stay on 1st or second floor and you should have no problemsHaving said all this YES I’ll stay again Good people Clean place They work hard

Housekeeping not provided unless you stay 5+ days or longer Had to go to the front desk for towels, tissue, etc Called to ask for housekeeping to at least come get the trash from the room and I was told to bring the trash to the front desk and they will take care of it

The price of my stay was not worth it considering what I had to go through The lobby looks amazing but the rooms could use some updated furniture and kitchen appliances

Miz Krickett

The service was horrible My children and I were put out on the streets after being displaced from our home flooding I was informed after check out time when the staff could have advised me the extension that they were guaranteed to receive hadn’t been extended

I left a couple of hours prior to and some of my items were missing from the room I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau Had been staying there four weeks and had one additional week needed before flooring and painting was completed and furniture returned to our home Worse way to do a mother with kids that paying was never an issue because the insurance was paying for the company who destroyed my home with an AC installation Had drive back 50 miles and leave my sons AAU game just to get my 17 year old from the hotel and our belongings from both rooms

Shey Marples

This is my favorite hotel for many reasons The first is the front desk ladies Kuree and Jaynana – they made my very extended stay pleasant by treating me like a good friend and were always attentive The maid service was exceptionally clean and all of them very nice

The sweet woman who makes & serves the breakfast was always so friendly to chat with in the morning The rooms were spacious and the location of the hotel was perfect, by all grocery shopping, restaurants and nearby parks When I return to Kennesaw this is my top choice hotel to stay in – highly recommended!

Was very disappointed with our room in the second building The room was a suite with two bedrooms The carpet between the living room and bedroom was up and not attached to the floor (trip hazard) the refrigerator was dirty inside and the room had an odor

The room was dark, and our room was on the first floor The hotel’s location was great and close to plenty of restaurants and shopping The only reason we gave it two stars however we decided not to stay and moved to another Marriott property

Tim Reynolds

Only reason 2 stars is the front desk staff and the breakfast preparerThe air freshener in the hallway is overwhelming Room has a mixed bag of furniture that came out of a Courtyard

Room smells, AC in bedroom does not work Thermostat in living room is inaccessible because of the oversized desk unitI get the impression the owner is milking this place and not doing proper maintenance

Unfortunately, used our member’s reward, and once again were put in a terrible room (Apparently this is how the Marriott chain treats its members since it has happened every time we’ve used our rewards) We did not appreciate the very loud banging before 8:00 a

m from the linen room next door When we told the front desk, Love could care less Done with this chain

Had a lovely time at Stanely House Inn It was easy to find using the GPS and perfect location as it was a 5 minute drive from the wedding I was attendingCheck in was easy as they send the entry codes for the building and your room directly to you via text

The Inn was still set up for a wedding that had taken place the night before and I was the only guest during my short stay but it was still lovelyI fell in love with my room as it was spacious, the bed was huge and comfy, and most of all the clawed tub with the special Stanley House Inn bath soak was just what I needed to relax The room also came with in room complimentary water, wine, and snacksBreakfast was delicious and hearty, plus the manager was lovely to chat with during breakfastI believe it’s the perfect place to have some R&R

We absolutely love the Stanley house! We use them for our annual company holiday party and the staff absolutely love it Beautiful atmosphere and outstanding service! We have stayed in almost every room and have enjoyed every one of them! I would leave 10 Stars if I could and look forward to our annual party and get away for 2022!

I had my dream wedding at the Stanley House Inn! Everything was perfect – the venue, the hostesses/owner, the vendors recommended by the owner; everything excellent! The venue is absolutely lovely! The Victorian-styled bed and breakfast mansion is the perfect place to have a weekend wedding celebration The Inn is very beautifully decorated The rooms – oh they are beautiful! The bathrooms are recently renovated and have a little touch of modern

The venue and rooms look just like the photographs that are on the Inn’s websiteThe wedding pictures that we had taken there are so lovely! I hope that Meg and Sherry post on Facebook for everyone to see We decided to marry outside, and the Inn has so many beautiful flowers, plants, trees and statues out in that front area where we were The weather couldn’t have been better The rehearsal dinner and reception were both indoors The set up was great! Plenty of room for eating and dancing and having a good time For the dinner tables, I chose the large crystal candlestick centerpieces provided by the Inn, and they were so pretty!I loved that we and our families were all able to stay at the Inn together The Inn sleeps around fifteen to seventeen guests, I believe We stayed there for two nights We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception at the Inn We had around 40 wedding guests I really didn’t even have to leave the Inn while I was there! Basically everything you need is provided by the hostesses! They cooked the most delicious complementary breakfast for all the guestsThe Inn is on the outskirts of Marietta Square, which is cool because it is not in the middle of the square’s commotion, but you can easily walk to the square for lunch and such After the reception, we even walked down to the square to hang for a bit Everyone had a ball, and they are still talking about the fun they had throughout the weekend! The hostesses, Meg and Sherry – what a dynamic duo! They were fabulous from the start of the process to the finish! I can’t give them enough props! They were very attentive and answered every email I sent them promptly They were awesome during the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception, and they kept me right on schedule throughout the normal craziness of a wedding They are professionals! They are both very impressive, and you can honestly tell that they love what they do! I used most of the vendors that they recommended on their website, and everyone was great! Food, cake, florist and photographer; all did such a wonderful job!If I could change anything about any of it, I would change absolutely nothing, not a thing! Everything was just as I’d hoped and dreamedWe can’t wait to go back to the Inn to spend future anniversaries! Many, many thanks to Meg, Sherry and the Stanley House Inn team!

Rooms were very clean They have a pool so my kids could swim and get tired out I did forget my toothbrush and they provide complimentary items that we forget

They also have a decent continental breakfast The ladies there to help were fantastic with my kiddos Every time we go through Atlanta, we stay here It’s a little outside of Atlanta in Marietta but it is in a good neighborhood

Room floor was dirty Had to get wipes to clean it Shower had mold spots

Or old mold stains Housekeeper was in such a hurry she just threw the bags in the trash Unopened The thermostat is completely broken leaving your guessing the temp I had to get up countless times and adjust in the middle of the night Also This was an up charged premium room That I was told will be refunded But I can safely assume that was a lie made by the girl at the front desk Basically guaranteed I’ll never come back to this hotel There are so many better options in Atlanta And for the same price!!! Honestly Go to Hampton six flags in lithia springs Seriously

I had reserved a handicapped room and was assured this is what I was to have upon my arrival I arrived after 6pm and the hotel clerk present was a girl, that stated their were no rooms available handicapped She gave me what was available (king-size bed)room , even though I had a reservation

I was very uncomfortable and bathroom was very difficult to useI contacted customer service team, which told me to speak with Mgr on duty ,MrDon and Brian ( very nice ppl) made a difference in the price for the inconvenience of the roomThe young lady was very rude and unconcerned (walking away constantly)of my issues with the room not being handicapped She needs to be trained better for customer service I also feel the room that was reserved for us was given to someone that had arrived earlier The hotel was very clean overall
