The staff in this hotel was awesome! We stayed there one night with our entire family for a wake/ funeral, and they made sure our rooms were close together Jared is the sweetest front desk person! He took care of us with a smile They had flowers waiting in our room with condolences

❤🙏 I highly recommend this hotel Very clean, spacious, and a quality, full delicious breakfast

This location has been very busy during my stays It seems as though this is the norm All staff that I have spoken with have been professional and courteous

However, the facility is showing wear and tear that maintenance and housekeeping staff should address Most recently I noticed that the pool appeared cloudy Our room was missing utensils and a toaster The outside trash bins are often overflowing Pleased to see that guests are asked not to smoke near the doors or on the patio All Home2 need to enforce this policy

Aryanna Holmes

This was my first time staying at this location & I was not disappointed I stayed for a week I used the spin2cylcle and that was very clean

My room was spacious and super comfortable I even cleaned my room some more & I didn’t have to do much because it was pretty clean when I got there The fridge & freezer kept everything cold and it was big enough for all of my food I had all the utensils I needed & I loved the fact I got to cook in my room, that was awesome! My room was on the 2nd floor and I loved how I was next to the elevator & ice machine Very convenient!! I didn’t have a problem with noise I could barely hear anyone They had a small dog staying on my floor but the dog barely made any noise No complaints there I loved how the breakfast offered hot & cold options every day & 7/11 and Dunkin are less than 5min away walking distance I don’t drive so I was very happy to be on the bus line Everything is so close!!! I will be staying here again 🤗

Decent hotel if you need to stay in the area Great parking with accessibility Fine location, coffee shop and gym just steps away

Helpful and responsible staff members Room was cleaned and bathrooms were scrubbed Large contemporary breakfast room downstairs Hot breakfast with waffles! It is complimentary, as well Check-in, Check-out was simple There is a convenience store, fitness center, and full-service laundry facilities Even local shuttles and transportation at Mansfield train station

Mike Leone

The hotel itself was fine, although it was worrying watching a member of housekeeping walk up and down a hallway emptying an entire can of air freshener while we were stuck in the lobbyOur main issue was that our room was not ready at 6pm even though check in was 3pm We were forced to wait while other guests were allowed to go to their rooms without issue

The hotel staff that night were unfriendly One informed me I should be grateful that out room was ready at all due to call outs With how much this hotel charges per night I find it shocking that they can’t afford to staff adequately for the rooms they bookAfter waiting for 40 minutes our room was finally released to us It reeked of bleach to the point that our eyes burned for the first couple of minutes in the roomThe morning staff at check out are the only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 They were at least professional and polite when we were checking out

We stayed here with a block of rooms for our wedding The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, but the service fell well below expectations, the hotel is showing its age, and it is seems to be poorly managed My wife’s family was treated poorly several times and it felt racially-motivated when compared to how my family was treated

My wife was asked by hotel staff to help clean one of her family’s rooms even as she clearly wore part of her bridal outfit My family was immediately and politely given an extra hour for checking out of our rooms, while my father-in-law was told he would need to speak to the manager to approve the same request, even when he mentioned that they were part of the wedding family The manager never called him back In addition, no one explained the very complicated parking situation to him even when he asked, resulting in a much higher bill that the hotel refused to address; meanwhile, my parking bill issue was resolved immediatelyThe hotel had mistakes on my parents’ bill and on my bill, so check carefully They moved my brother to a suite because of a broken, leaky AC in the original room, and then tried to charge us the higher rate without saying anything AC did not work well in many of the other rooms, including the bridal suite, and none of our showers drained properlyConsider using the hotel bar for the views of the breathtaking lobby but it’s probably worth staying elsewhereUpdate: the manager eventually called back and resolved the parking situation with my father-in-law while offering some credit While appreciated, the frustration remains

The bathroom was extremely small Certainly no room for 2 people and no room to put toiletries anywhere except maybe on top of the toilet We had a 2 room suite that was very nice

However, as my wife and I were talking at around midnight, we did get a few knocks on the wall from the people next door Must’ve been thin walls There was no valet parking but a parking garage a block away Nobody met us outside to assist with the bags The front desk was nice and told me where to park and when I walk back to get the parking receipt validated I noticed a sign at the garage with a max parking price of $25 As it turned out, I was charged $3560 for parking by the hotel Now that was pretty sleazy considering there was no valet service My cousin who joined us in another car paid the next day at the garage and was charged $19 for the same amount of timeBottom line, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel There are other very good hotels nearby

al lee

Shocked this hotel is so highly rated Maybe the history of the building has covered guests’ eyes with rose-tinted glasses, but this hotel should not be rated a three star hotel, let alone a four star hotel My heart sank a little bit as soon as I entered the hotel as the staff couldn’t find my reservation

They later found it (and charged me twice for it), and things only got worse The bathroom was very dirty (please do yourself a favor and don’t rub any of the surfaces with a tissue), and the AC only worked sporadically throughout the nightThere was an unfortunate incident where a lady screamed racist statements in the elevator and meaningfully stared at my room’s number I spoke to the front office hoping to get some action taken, but I received encouragement to try to find the lady’s room number The last thing I wanted to do was confront some clearly unhinged woman going on racist tirades I was hoping to at least get moved to a different floor so I didn’t have to worry about this lady, but I guess management thought this was just another casual event Speaks volumes about how you will be treated if something goes wrong! If this was the Hilton or Marriott I would guarantee they would do their best to make sure you felt safe and supportedAs far as the pros Their shampoo/conditioner is actually pretty nice and I loved that the TVs are adjustable I also definitely appreciated the historic nature of the building and the overall architecture, but I’d do yourself a favor and step into the hotel lobby, admire the view, and book yourself a different hotel

Decent Terrible location for a destination Perfectly fine for an in-between stay

The photo is very misleading of the fire pit Pool was still closed Elevator super tiny They have some construction going on while we were there in the extended lobby Rooms were very consistent, Marriott Clean, had everything we needed Staff was very nice

Matthew Orlandini

Not really much to say Vintage Marriott hotel: Clean, comfortable, with great service and staff Just wish Courtyards offered complimentary breakfast like most of the other Marriott properties

Took a dip in the pool; curiously the pool was much warmer than the jacuzzi That’s by no means a complaint – I enjoyed it

stephen scott

The staff of this hotel are absolutely awesome The front desk staff did an amazing job taking care of us It was just too bad that the bed was hard, the internet was slow, our door lock wouldn’t open the first night because the battery was dead, and the tv is about 10 years too old

The pool was out of commission too! This was due to a problem with the heater There wasn’t even a free breakfast

I was looking to get away for a few days to slow down and reset The Beatrice was the perfect spot! The room offered amazing views of downtown, with oversized floor to ceiling windows I found myself reading and painting the afternoons away, with a healthy dose of people watching

The bed was extremely comfortable and the modern bathroom offered a lovely shower and warm soft robes It truly felt like I was being pampered I secretly enjoyed the rainy days because it gave me an excuse to relax in my room even moreThe staff was professional and warm, offering great dining recommendations and a friendly interactions The ease of valet parking further reduced any stress that may come from parking in the cityI definitely recommend The Beatrice to anyone coming to Providence!

David Silver

The Beatrice hotel is a hidden gem in downtown providence The valet Alberto greeted us promptly and was quick to assist us with our bags Upon entering the hotel we were greeted with happy guests and the most beautiful chandelier and mosaic

The decor alone doesn’t scream providence in the best ways possible The front desk team of Sydney and Olivia was everything and more A smooth greeting with such warmth made you feel right at homeKevin who was there in the evening helped with great suggestions on where to go He was just a delight overallThank you to Jennifer, the general manager who truly went above and beyond with her staff to make this getaway a memorable one

The Beatrice is a wonderful local hotel The use of space is brilliant and the integrity of the original historic structure has been maintained That’s what made me want to write this review in the first place

Integrating the old paper street alley to me was emblematic of the smartness and design throughout the hotel The rooms seem both warm and contemporary which is a hard combination to pull off I was delighted to hear that some of the artwork throughout the hotel was created in and of the memories of its namesake Beatrice It felt like I was in on a family secret Last – Bellini’s is really a lovely spot The restaurant wasn’t open when I was there but I did see inside and I’m looking forward to going back some weekend over the winter Excellent

If visiting Providence, I highly recommend the Christopher Dodge HouseIt is in a great location with quick access to shopping and restaurants Many within walking distance

The rooms were comfortable and homey with amazingly comfortable beds They were one of the few B&Bs that accept children and our child really enjoyed his stayThe staff was friendly and top notch They provide some excellent breakfast option all locally sources, including locally Roasted coffee! So if you are looking for a place, don’t overlook this location!

Tessa Huttenlocher

A cozy and affordable bed and breakfast! I enjoyed the comfy bed and the quiet breakfasts in the sunny dining room The chef made wonderful dishes, like avocado toast and pecan bourbon glazed French toast One downside to staying here was that, while it is very close to downtown, it is not walkable—too many highways in the way! (But that’s the fault of city planners of old, not Christopher Dodge house

) Ride-shares into downtown we’re still <$7 when I visited, so this wasn’t a big problem

Katherine Sorrentino

What an amazing bed and breakfast experience Simply cannot express how wonderful our stay is was The room on the third floor was so spacious and light

The comfiest bed with the softest sheets The hot breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were so warm and accommodating I cannot think of a better stay for such an affordable price If you’re coming to Providence, you MUST stay here!

I don’t understand how this hotel & the Renaissance next door are okay with up charging over $1000 for the same rooms, just one week apart Will my room come with a servant that night? Are they going to ensure my sheets are made of genuine silk and provide me with a solid gold shower? This is pure robbery Please book well in advance if you are planning to stay for an event or you’ll be charged what your monthly mortgage is for one nights stay

Haley Marie Holt

Nancy was absolutely amazing I was staying here as a part of a wedding I was not only matron of honor in but also doing the makeup for and she was beyond accommodating She went above and beyond to make everything perfect for the bride and the entire bridal party

This hotel is a model for all others Absolutely immaculate (I had been staying at another property, in nearby town, at a different hotel chain/group

) The previous place was triple the price and a filthy hotel-hell experienceThe staff at Best Western Sharon, Massachusetts have been helpful and engaging A full hot breakfast is offered every day with a wide variety of options to choose from The dining room is bright and spacious and has great seating open all day longThe two queen beds are the perfect softness/hardness with lots of pillows and silky sheets The in room refrigerator is very spacious with a separate freezer compartment, a separate vegetable drawer l, and lots of shelves The in room microwave offers a full power and a defrost cycleThe in room a/c unit was very clean with fresh filters (Yes, I popped the cover) The windows will open a few inches to allow in fresh air A treat when you are used to the modern hotel designs of no opening windowsLast but not least, a standard bathtub that is big enough for this Amazon Princess sized body You will enjoy your stay at this beautiful property conveniently located next to Route 1

Brian Andrea

After reading the reviews on here, I was very excited to stay at this hotel Unfortunately I was very disappointed I have never stayed at a Best Western with a comfortable bed

The room was clean but old The bed was like sleeping on plywood The lady working the breakfast was great, but the worst part was the lack of options I ate stale pastry and the typical waffle for two days – no protein, eggs, sausage, etc Coffee was watered down and the “hot water” was not hot The kid was practically sleeping at the front desk when I checked out

Rebecca Mason

I stayed at this location several times for business about 3 years ago I’m unsure if there has been a management change, but things are not as I rememberI just stayed for 5 nights, and quality has declined in all areas

Breakfast / amenitiesThis is where the hotel falls extremely short of expectations This hotel advertises a free breakfast, as many hotels in the three star classification would do However the offering here is meager and depressing EVERY hotel I’ve ever been to has served those sort of ‘eh’ eggs and protein of some sort (like sausage or bacon) After my latest stay here, I can no longer say thatThe breakfast that is offered is those single serving cereal boxes that children get for lunch You don’t even get milk You have to ask the old lady to go retrieve it from the back It’s in a plastic container without any expiration dateThere was no bananas or apples or fruit , bananas are what, 20 cents each? They had the classic hotel waffle maker Only one iron With so little food offered you will find yourself in line for this watching everyone cook their waffle or give up and look at something else The only other something else offered? Stale pastries and instant oatmeal packetsI sat in the lobby for two and a half hours to work on my laptop and make phone calls and I did not witness anyone changing out the coffeeSimilar to the waffle machine, you will find yourself in line again at the elevator They restrict their elevator to two patrons at a time Two patrons My wife stayed with one kid and I took the other one for separate elevator tripsFitness center is very lacking Again there isn’t enough for everyone I don’t understand how there is so little It’s like this hotel should have a maximum number of 5-7 rooms occupied at a time More than this and the place can’t really keep up It’s a quaint place to lay your head but don’t expect it to be like a real three star classified hotel I would describe this as an elevated motel or a diminished hotelCleanlinessThe room I was in had dusty surfaces and they left the window wide open so it was a little stuffy and humid when I first enteredThe dust issue wasn’t as annoying as their leaving the window wide open Carpet in the room had small amounts of shredded paper scraps and some stains Not that noticeable unless you look because they selected a pattern that draws your eyes from itBedsMy room came equipped with two medium sized beds The beds themselves were relatively comfortable The sheets were slightly off white on the sides There is a huge issue with the fitting of the sheets After one night of sleep, one of the beds’ sheets pulled itself from the bed so the mattress was exposed I guess I was lucky to have that second bedBathroomsBathrooms are outdated It’s set up like a home shower with a tub Showerhead is mounted and not on the tube thing that would allow you to pick it up and direct water to clean yourself The tub liner is improperly sized and water spills during a showerFront deskFront desk worker is constantly on their phone and while friendly, excruciatingly slow

Had a great time there, the bed and pillows were spectacular We are actually looking to purchase the pillows they were that comfortable We had a great view on the 16th floor, had connecting rooms for my family

Are you okay they had valet parking and the self parking lot in the hotel The hotel had a nice special feature it was a bridge from the hotel to the mall so you didn’t have to walk outside

Ali Pharaa

Excellent location near popular spots and restaurants Rooms are spacious and comfortable Gym is massive and well equipped

Only problem is that the pool isn’t really a pool, more like a small water fountain filled with kids and their parents No possibility of swimming even if it was empty All in all great hotel for sightseeing and working out

Sayed Mousawi

80s hotel with a feel of early 2000s renovations The rooms are in desperate need of updating The place looks like a 80s time capsule

Bathroom is the only renovated part yet still needs upgrading The hotel staff are great the location is amazing They connect to the adjacent mall via a bridge which is very convenient I just still can’t get over how dated is the room/lobby areas are Not sure id stay here again if I’m ever back in Providence

Went here for Valentines Day and could not have been more impressed with the food and service Our waitress Tara was amazing and made this night so special Due to Covid my husband and I haven’t been out for sometime as he had cancer 2 years ago and he felt very compromised

Your spacious setting and attention to detail couldn’t have made him feel more comfortable Thank you for a wonderful evening 💕

A. Makela

The entire place is historic and beautiful! Fantastic serving staff – detail oriented and excellent experience and coordination by the kitchen – I have the highest accolades for Leandra – a phenomenal professional who quite literally, handled a party of over 16 demanding people in an eloquent and courteous manner – never losing her cool – not once!!! I enjoyed the fried goat cheese on spinach salad with the filet as the main and carrot cake for dessert I ordered medium plus and it was literally cooked to perfection Each meal course was delicious! I am so impressed with the entire experience and will return again!

Made reservations for 5 pm on Sunday evening We were told they were closing early (7pm) for vacation Call came at 4:20 pm Sunday cancelling our reservation

Very disappointed!! Thought this was a better restaurant that we have enjoyed over the years This was classlessTo follow up; spoke with Kim and explained why we were so upset She apologized and sent us a generous gift card We couldn’t spend our anniversary at Blackinton but we will certainly enjoy another visit here Thank you again

Fantastic experience here at the Renaissance Providence Downtown hotel from the valet, to check in, to check out One hundred percent recommend this hotel for all The valet is super nice and efficient

They manage your car nicely and always had it ready for me within fifteen minutes of my request The check in and check in processes were super easy Lobby and elevators were clean Rooms were beautiful and clean All amenities were available and room service was lovelyNow for my standard COVID comments as of April 2022 Not most if not all employees were wearing masks However, this didn’t take away from how clean the hotel was and the amount of decent social distancing

Goodness What to say

always a lovely stay hereWe’ve stayed with Renaissance at several different properties re: Marriott, and we’ve always received top-notch service This Renaissance is no different Perfect for out-of-town guests and locals alike Great location downtown, yet away from the hustle and bustle – right next to the State House and the VETS Auditorium, near the Financial District & Providence Place MallUpon arrival, you’re met with experienced valet service and whisked inside to reception Hotel staff is attentive, sharp to detail, thorough, and above all, warm – great pillars of hospitalityWe’ve been fortunate enough to be placed on the Concierge level with our stays due to our Bonvoy status, which is a nice touch The lobby smells fantastic, cleanly aromatic, as does the rest of the hotel Just kind of carries throughThere’s also beautiful architecture at this location, and nothing & nobody is pretentious – it’s just an obvious high standard of excellence that filters through every aspect of your stay here Highly recommend if ever you travel in/around Providence

Nice clean hotel Located in a very nice place in downtown with many food and art and craft establishments aroundThe lobby is filled with antiques and is decorated well

The rooms in the second building are a little hard to get to and you have to go though a maze of a walkway to get to the elevatorThe hotel staff is nice and accommodating, we arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM when the check in was scheduled after 4 PM and were hoping that we had to leave our luggage with the bell boys and come later for check-in but the hotel staff made a clean room available for us right away and checked ✔️ us in without any waitBravo good customer service

We stayed here for the weekend for a wedding The hotel, amenities and event spaces were great and the room itself had everything we neededThe real 5 stars goes to Molly who is part of the staff here

She went above and beyond in helping for any of our needs and was always nearby to assist and was also quick to provide recommendations for things in the area She absolutely crushed it when it came to hospitality during our visit!

You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig… it looks so nice, I’ll give them that But man, this place was awful My husband and I are traveling with military orders with our dogs

this place is *pet friendly* we were placed on a pet floor with other pet guests but we’re given a notice of our dogs barking by guests that were not staying with pets due to overbooking We were also down graded to a smaller room due to that, but still charged a higher rate while having a compt drink at the bar (only good thing, with good service) we spoke to another guest who also had a horrible stay here Again, if aesthetics is all you’re looking for then you’ll find it here nothing else I will never be the one who criticizes the middle manaka the desk clerk this is something higher management needs to address

My son had to have surgery in Providence He is a student athlete at Brown, so I needed to stay in Providence with him for a couple of days for his recoveryI arrived an hour earlier than check in

Ricardo was very welcoming and checked me in, but was unable to get me into my room yet He phoned me as soon as the room was ready He asked to pray for my son’s surgery and recovery Very niceWhen I needed to extend my stay, I inquired with management if I was able to continue in the same room, as to not have to move my son They were able to rearrange reservations so that he could remain comfortable I greatly appreciate the lengths that they went to make our stay stress freeThe fire alarm going off at 2am, and my son having to navigate the stairwell full of guests, from 6 floors up was inconvenient Then stand outside on crutches for 25 minutes However, we understood this was out of their control – but wasn’t even addressed at check out?Pretty location overlooking harbor Close to restaurants and Brown University We did not utilize the hotel restaurant

Views from the lounge are really nice Rideshare doesn’t necessarily know where to pickup with the gates blocking the path to the check-in drive, so just put your pin out closer to the road The fitness center is pretty lacking – one of the treadmills was broken, no sanitizing wipes, and no water inside

Room itself was good Kitchen is really convenient for breakfast, though one day my potatoes were pretty heavily seasoned and I couldn’t eat them Overall good hotel option

The front end evening staff (Ricardo) as well as the bartender Lilly are wonderful! Room was clean cut could definitely use more lighting That goes for the hallway to to rooms also- felt dark One complaint I have which is really not that big of a deal is the music or Muzak they play in the lobby area… it can drive you insane

It’s very psychotic lol Also breakfast during the week be open past 9am for those who work late and sleep in a bit

It was great! Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area SUPER friendly staff, breakfast was everything you can imagine and then some, and we really appreciated that it lasted until 10am Pool was nice and well maintained

The bed was comfy, room clean The only very minor thing was the AC was loud and made noises I’ve never heard an AC make before But it didn’t bother us

My Stay was amazing my husband and I got a room and the front desk staff on that night were two young ladies who were beyond helpful~ I cant express how amazing they worked as a team checking us in as there were a few of us to check in at once The next morning I went down to ask about Breakfast the girls were still there working and they had informed me there wasn’t breakfast until they officially turn to the Best Western which would be in a few weeks Paige & Rubia were so sweet and kind, I will defiantly be back just to say hi to them next time I’m in the area!!!

Ruby went above and Beyond shoving her customers! When we checked in she was very polite, professional, and friendly We’re not from here so we were looking for a place to eat and she let us know where we could get some dinner and have us pamphlets on where to order We had an issue with the shower not working which she promptly got to work on calling maintenance to fix and the issue and her boss with a suggestion

None of this was her fault but I can say she went above and Beyond and gave us a bigger room for myself and my family This was a perfect example of great customer service! Thank you Ruby for being a true professional! I wish I could have given her 10 stars because she truly deserves it! Thank you! Management should look at how hard she works and her great work she does!

Nice hotel Wish I had a different choice for breakfast other than a buffet with food you don’t know how long it had been sitting there Very boring place

no bar or social stuff Nothing really around it no side walks to the plaza up the street no cross walk across to the places thereas usual a pedestrian is a 3rd class citizenif you come here and don’t have transportation your stuck No public transportation acessThe young girl working at the front desk isn’t all that pleasant and has an attitude when you ask for anything

Please read if you’re getting married here, or having a large event – otherwise, nice hotel in a great location!- Poor staffing, hotel management provided no assistance for staff Fully booked hotel on NYE with only 1 person working at the front desk, 1 waiter for breakfast for the entire hotel – both leading to extremely slow/limited service Not fair to the staff, nor to the guests

– Worked with team before the wedding to clearly communicate information regarding welcome bags for the wedding guestsOnly a few of our guests received welcome bags (even after calling the front desk to remind them that our guests needed to be given one)- Guests from another event/wedding party received our welcome bags We saw a few people return their welcome bags to the front- Welcome bags had information regarding brunch the next morning, which very few people showed up to (but we were still required to pay for the anticipated amount of guests)- When the B&G arrived downstairs, there were other guests eating and drinking that were not from our wedding party at our private post-wedding new years day brunchRooms:- There were extremely limited amenities, which was unexpected The rooms are very simple & small- Check in at 4pm and check out at 11 am is just inappropriate Again, unexpected given that the hotel is utilized for weddings, large events etc- *An alarm was set on the alarm clock for 6am on my wedding day* it was beyond upsetting This should always be checked before new guests check in- No speaker in the room, very limited lighting (only side lights, desk lamp, reading lights- no actual room light)- Brides, there is no where to hang your wedding dress up other than the closet

Hotel is beautiful and in a great location Staff were friendly and we were lucky enough to get into our room earlier than check in Only downfalls: the room is temperature controlled, so the room didn’t get colder than 65, and the pillows were very thin

I always love super fluffy pillows at hotels, but sadly, not this time Oh and no jacuzzi

I don’t understand how this hotel & the Hilton next door are okay with up charging over $1000 for the same rooms, just one week apart Will my room come with a servant that night? Are they going to ensure my sheets are made of genuine silk and provide me with a solid gold shower? This is pure robbery Please book well in advance if you are planning to stay for an event or you’ll be charged what your monthly mortgage is for one nights stay
