Day 1 of the 3 we were told we could only enjoy continental breakfast Day 2 they served the eggs, sausage, and oatmeal Day 3 we chose to eat somewhere else for breakfast outside of the establishment

The breakfast at the hotel was bland and watered down The hotel is an older establishment and it shows The door to our room sounded like an old screen door The neighbor above us walked with a heavy foot the whole time A guest woke us up on night two crying and yelling in the hallway just before 3 am The microwave video in our room shows this microwave is just about to go out The beds were very comfortable and we loved the amount of pillows we were given The room was a descent size The bathroom was extremely small as well as the closet On day 3 I was almost ran over by a guest as he was sprinting down the hallway Because someone broke into his car in the morning hours around 7:30 am in daylight He chased the guy all the way down the parking lot until finally catching him And grabbing him The hotel staff was good to us the whole time we were there And there is a cute little creek right behind the main hotel This hotel is broken up into buildings/units and separated It is conveniently located to guide meridian And many local amenities The hotel staff did call us Because my mom had left an outfit That was great customer service in my book

Stephanie Kemble

Came here specifically for the pool and hot tub, which were both out of service We visited during an 80 degree weekend and it looked like the pool had been broken for quite some time – the hot tub was the sort of green you’d expect in a salad The room was worn but the bed was comfortable

Service was fine, except when we asked for additional pillows and all they had were decorative pillows – I know the hotel wasn’t full, so I don’t know what that was about This place is fine if you’re just looking for a place to sleep – but if you want a vacation experience, look elsewhere

M

The staff was flexible with us during check-in The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, though the bathroom could have used a vacuuming to pick up small stuff on the floor The exterior doors on our building were locked for most of the day, and we didn’t feel unsafe

There were not many people loitering around outside at all compared to other buildings in the area The breakfast was nice, and the lady who made it was very friendly

My sister and I love to stay at the Fairhaven Village Inn at least once a year It’s our little getaway from dishes, laundry and bedtime stories We love several of the restaurants that are nearby and we always run across the sound of live music spilling out of one venue or another

The harbor view from the room we like to book is lovely The seagulls are happily squawking and the trains sound their horns as they ticketytak on the waterfront It all makes us quite happy

Dan Burch

A very high price for a room and the service provided The 3rd floor room was hot and stuffy with no AC so the only choice was to open the windows to try and cool it off to sleep Noise from the bar customers in the hotel and the neighborhood went on until late

Train tracks nearby with at least 6 trains passing in the night with multiple horn toots as they crossed intersections made for a very poor nights sleep

jeff john

Hotel is nice and front desk service is great as well! I rate it 2 stars because an employee who drives a beat up red Hyundai thought it would be a good idea to touch my car and remove stickers I had on my car I presume it was an employee because I don’t think they could afford the hotel driving a car like that If you want to express your own political views that’s great

But no need to mess with someone else’s I don’t want to make this hotel seem bad because overall it is quite nice But makes you wonder what else the employees are doing when they are messing with other guest’s belongings

The worst Holiday Inn Express I’ve been to I’m a frequent traveler and member yet wasn’t treated with the same respect at this location as I usually am at other locationsFront desk staff didn’t even tell me about the gym next door because this location doesn’t have a gym

I had to bring my own weights in which I rarely do at a hotelOnly had breakfast once since no one was wearing a mask — no staff and no guests Housekeeping staff stared at me for wearing a mask, were unfriendly and unhelpful yet when another guest who wasn’t wearing a mask wanted to empty her recycling, the housekeeping staff were eager to help Funny how that works Disgusted by their attitudeBur that aside, there was a problem with the air conditioning It didn’t reach the entire room, pointed up towards the stained curtains and didn’t keep the humidity down so the room was moldy and musty and smelled horriblyThe bathroom has been remodeled and has an electric bidet so there’s that but the ac system needs to be changed and updated

Jim Smith

The service was great The room was okay (a bit dated), but the toilet seat was the real star That was by far the fanciest porcelain thrown that my rear-end has ever experienced

It had heated seats, a heated bidet and a dryer I didn’t know such things existed, but I now have a life goal for my homeThanks for the stay!

mharri333 H

I am a fan of the Express This was a decent stay but they put me in a room on the first floor right next to where the housekeepers were working A bit loud

I have stayed here before and been very happy It is close to shopping and good restaurants Hard to go wrong Try Extremes for food and drink at the bottom of the hill No need to drive and excellent

We stayed just for a night, but this place would be great for an extended business of family stay Rooms are large with lots of amenities Way more storage than most places

Breakfast is typical with plenty of choices The pool is indoors, and the workout area is a good size I would go back here and spend more time My only complaint was the noisy AC system

Claire WithLove

I have stayed at Townplace Suites twice now for about 5 days at a time The rooms have been clean and quiet They have a full kitchen – 2 burner stove, microwave, small coffee pot, full fridge and freezer, dishwasher, sink, pans, plates, utensils, paper towels, cloth towel, dish soap

Bathroom has a smaller sink Sofa, table under the desk that can be used as an eating/working area, footstoolIndoor swimming pool and hot tub although the jets were not working last visitCheck-in is at Springhill Suites in the same parking lot where the bar and breakfast is No maid service unless your stay is 4 days or longer where you can leave a tag outside your door with request for towels, etc You can get more coffee/creamer at the front deskParking is free If the lot in the front is full, another lot is behind the Springhill Suites and there is a garageLoved:- Good free breakfast with two hot sandwich/quiche choices, oatmeal, chocolate chip scone, breakfast dessert breads, plus toast, cereal, good coffee!- Convenience: I-5 exit, grocery, a few restaurants, shopping mall in short driving distance- Safety: As a woman traveling on her own, I feel safe there walking from my car and in my room- Bar in Springhill Suites had good food for good prices My hamburger with fries was $10 Menu at the front desk or bar Other options: Garden burger, chicken caeser salad, turkey BLT croissant, BBQ pork sliders, chicken wings, chicken tacos, tomato margarita flat bread pizza, etc all under $16 You can take it eat it there, take back to your room, or eat outside at the tables in front of the hotels- I ask for a room facing the forest – It is like living in a tree house with more privacy than the rooms facing the parking lotThings to Consider:- You must have a car to go anywhere there is nothing in walking distance It is about 32 miles/10 minutes to downtown Bellingham Fairhaven was nicer for shopping and walking around – 84 miles/14 minutes- Part of the Marriott Bonvoy chain of hotels- I have been in the King Studio and in the One Bedroom Suite The Studio did not have much room between the sofa, pull over table from the desk, and bed – not a lot of walking room around the room It felt cramped, but it was fine for one or two people I was able to get this room using Marriott pointsThe Suite was open, spacious with more walking room between the bed and the sofa and table I had been upgraded to this room once using pointsBoth have sofa beds, but the studio would feel very confining if you had three or four people- Since the sofas are sofa beds, I found the cushions to be hard and not too comfortable to sit on for long periods in the evening It could be the studio had an older sofa, since I don’t remember it being as uncomfortable in the suite

I stayed for four nights and it was great! There is a full breakfast, complete with waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal It was like we were eating out every morning The room was fine, I didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room, but it had everything I could ask for, and the bed was great! They are also in a great location with a coffee shop less than a block away, a gas station and Costco within walking distance!

This place was amazing Super clean, the front staff was beyond amazing The warm cookies were just what I needed

On entering the lobby I dropped everything and made quite a mess The staff rushed over to help I have never been at a hotel where I felt more at home Don’t judge my pictures I post We are mountain climbers and our gear was all over the room Nonetheless, the rooms were absolutely spotless

I stayed at this hotel in early July 2022 I was thoroughly impressed with absolutely EVERYTHING, and my stay was perfect in every way When I arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist (I think her name was Kit(?)); she was personable, accommodating and professional

When I got to my room, it was perfect; the bathroom has multiple mirrors in it and a lot of complimentary toiletries (eg face soap, body soap, mouthwash, etc) When I woke up the next day and decided to check out their complimentary breakfast, I was impressed once again Not only was the assortment of items vast, the quality of breakfast items was top notch They had everything from soy chocolate milk to chocolate chips and sprinkles(!) for waffles, to the latte/mocha machine Once again, the staff was amazing, the room was immaculate and the breakfast was so much better than I would ever expect at a 3-star hotel Book your stay here and you will not regret it

This is the epitome of great service at this hotel The front desk lady, Abby, is very patient, professional and helpful she got us checked in and out without a hitch

The house man, Mitchell, was more the accommodating After he helped an older woman get heavy stuff from her car and took it to her room, he then helped us with every request we had and did it quickly, quietly and very professionally while keeping us laughing This place makes you feel cared about 10 out of 10 would recommend

Dena Marie Monticone

The hotel itself seemed lovely But since I was forced to leave soon after I checked in, I’m giving 1 starThe staff: Not at all lovely

In a friendly manner, I told the nightly staffer that I would like to talk to the manager in the morning She became disgruntled and told me I was no longer welcome to stay there She asked some sort of large body guard man to physically remove me He almost touched me even though I followed her wishes and was walking to my room to retrieve my stuff to leaveThe next morning, I told the morning staff that I would like to speak to the manager They told me that they were instructed about how to handle me and how my behavior the night before was “unacceptable” Clearly, they were misinformed about my behavior — as was the manager I was the one that was potentially made homeless that night over a few calmly spoken words — seems to me that the unacceptable behavior did not stem from me I told them I still would like to speak to the manager so that the manager could actually get my viewpoint on the events If they thought that my behavior was unacceptable, then they also were not going to be able to help me — as they had a false idea of the previous night’s events I tried to tell them that They would not listen to me They threatened to call the cops on me They called the cops on meWhat’s the point in even having a manager? Why can’t those people talk to me normally? A few words from me and they get mad? I just wanted to reach out to the manager to have a conversation and get some questions answered

Kia Latifi

Our first time at La Quinta and experienced the friendliest service from over the phone booking to front desk and room services Stephanie was particularly polite and helpfulVery clean hotel with ample parking, wide breakfast options, and easy access to everything: food, fuel, you name it

Thanks guys We will be back

Very clean, rooms very spacious, and I cannot say enough great things about the service! Absolutely remarkable staff, beyond professional The rooms were truly wonderful Well maintained and there was plenty of room to sleep

Sofa bed was comfortable and queen beds were large enough for 2 people to sleep on comfortably Can log-in to online streaming services from TV There was a separate desk to work on Bathroom split into 2, convenient for familiesBreakfast was remarkable as well! Delicious quiche and pastriesAbsolutely will stop here again when traveling from Canada to Seattle!

Dayne Cody

We needed a good, clean place to stay after we flew in late and couldn’t get home till the next day This was totally that The room was nice and big and was clean

Unfortunately, I had some very loud neighbors who thought being very loud at 2am on a Monday was fine, but that’s not on the hotel The continental breakfast left much to be desired; it had some bagels and oatmeal, but when we went through not really anything in the way of hot food, we have def had much better That said, all in all, if I needed a place in Bellingham, I would stay here again

Makayla Whitespeare

Really neat hotel! Large rooms, great breakfast options, they offer free guest wifi, a workout room, free on-site laundry room, have a nice swimming pool that has accessible handicap pool and hot tub chairs There is a large grill outside that is free for guests to utilize to cook food on and it’s been great! The tiny fridge isn’t super loud to listen to at night and the heater works very efficiently Plenty of storage in room

Parking garage under the hotel, as well as outside parking Extremely convenient location Directly across from an urgent care, down the road from Fred Meyer, and only 4 minutes from the airport 1 minute to the freeway 10 minutes to some great beach spots for finding oysters and neat shells There is an elevator from the parking garage all the way to the 5th and top floor Happy sleeping!

I don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, well appointed and comfortable, and the complimentary hot breakfast was tasty with plenty of options However, the best part was the pool, spa, steam room and sauna

Talk about a fantastic way to unwind! The entire pool area was immaculate and comfortable I will definitely be recommending this hotel to visiting friends and family

Deeann Puffert

The hotel was clean and the rooms large The bathroom included a separate bathtub and shower The breakfast was delicious

Perhaps most importantly the staff were thoughtful and kind during a time of extreme stress for our family I had to extend our stay twice and each time they did so with no complaint always checking to see if we needed anythingHighly recommend this property

King Executive Suite, Fourth FloorPros: Excellent large bathroom (tub and shower!), clean, friendly staff, includes breakfast and free parking Amenities like pool and sauna Central in town and close to shopping

Tazo herbal teas around the clock in the breakfast room!Cons: No daily room housekeeping We stayed for 3 nights and no one came to the room to take out the trash, change towels or make/change the bed (I did request extra towels and they were brought to the door and once left outside the door) For the price and reputation, housekeeping should be included The lukewarm classic breakfast I had each day (eggs, sausage, potatoes) could be kept warmer or made in smaller batches so it’s hot when you receive itOverall: Good stay, just a few things that would have made it excellent

I loved the room that I got for a few nights and a pretty fair price The person at the front desk was very nice and polite And the rooms were very clean and modern

The location is ideal for travelers because it is not too far from the airport and right next to the freeway, and has many shopping locations along with restaurants and fastfood establishments very close along with a few coffee shops that are fairly close

Dawn Kirkham

It appears homeless people stay and congregate at this hotel We did not want to sit outside for this reason Very bad

It was noisy and was disturbed by a dog barking Smelly and dirty in the hotel although the room itself was clean I scheduled the shuttle to the airport and it arrived 15 minutes late Apparently my request never was recorded Will not stay here again

mike banks

Staff was polite but did not follow through on resolving concerns (house cleaning)when they were brought up Once i addressed this with management the manager became very defensive, continued to interrupt and not listen to my concerns Not wanting to argue with her i just left

I then called the hilton rewards desk to see if the could address my concerns Hilton listened to my concerns and advised they would address them with the hotel The next day i called hilton to follow up and they informed me the same hotel manager said the issue had been resolved and filed a complaint against me stating i was a difficult guest Over 30 days at the hotel and not one negative interaction with the staff, after the long stay simply asked to have a problem addressed, and the hotels response is to Complain about the guest instead of addressing the a simply issue Traveler be cautious of this location

Very nice hotel overlooking the Pacific Really nice room with shower and tub separate(a really nice tub for taking baths) and a fireplace Perfect for a romantic getaway or just general relaxation

Staff was super friendly and the On site restaurant was really good Overall a very good hotel The one negative thing is that it’s very close to a train line(they do provide ear plugs) so it can be noisy at sporadic times during the day and night

Hannah

The Hotel Bellwether may be a better option for those searching for an elevated experience and warm hospitality The staff is lackluster and jaded- not too friendly I sat outside my the hotel as I waited for my room to be ready for over an hour

Just to describe the scene, I have a toddler and a nursing infant We sat In the car I called a couple times and the staff acted bothered every time I called Finally, 10-15 min after the public was allowed to officially check in, I still didn’t have a room (04:10 pm) (My friend who isn’t a Hilton member got a room right away at 3 pm) Once in the room, there were pack-n-plays for the children but they were pretty filthy Not worth “bothering front desk” My friend spent her honeymoon night there and she didn’t receive any special treatment I had to request to get her room cleaned I could write a full review but I already think the reader must understand at this point This hotel doesn’t go the extra mileGorgeous views though Get a drink and save the money on overnight stay!

Wayne O

We’ve stayed here several times over the last couple years and have always been pleasedThe rooms are clean and well appointed They are near the boardwalk it always makes a nice stroll

The view is fantastic if you like the bayand trainsSo we are both railroad train fans Saying that, if you are a rail fan too, you may really like it here as the trains pass very close We noticed on the last visit that the train horns were not being sounded as they past directly by the property But you’ll hear the rumble It’s never been a problem for us, and they do provide ear plugs

Wonderful service, great view and awesome food! I was very pleasantly surprised with the entire experience my husband and I had right from the start When making reservations the host, Dylan, was extremely polite and welcoming Once seated our server, Laura, was very prompt (no time waiting after being seated) friendly and helpful in our menu choices which included a bottle of wine, pan fried oysters and cioppino

Everything was fantastic, we’ll be back

Melissa Stivason

A restaurant where you are paying for the view and the ambiance That definately can’t be beat The food is good

But overpricedIt was a slow night, only 2 other tables occupied Really surprised at how long everything took to come out Drinks, appetizers, food Errors on the bill Bread and butter ordered but never brought to table but still on bill The waitress was very nice and friendly, but food not brought out and not noticing that 3 steak dinners were on bill when only 2 ordered? We ordered a wine that the waitress didn’t know was sold out because “delivery order didn’t come in” she had to return to have us choose something different That’s a lack of Restaurant management skills in my opinion Also, the steaks that were ordered at different rare levels were placed in front of wrong people We both took a bite before we noticed and had to swap dinners A self proclaimed fine dining restaurant that charges these prices shouldn’t have amateur mistakes of this type It detracted from the special event evening

Steven Spurlock

It was a wonderful meal Sherry F Is why it was so wonderful

Her personality was amazing I have been in many restaurants around the world, I would have to say Sherry was one of the best servers I have ever had It was my wife’s Birthday and Sherry added that extra special touch She was so intentive I am a water drinker and hate to have to ask for more My glass was never empty Thank you Sherry for all you did!

Fantastic magical place! So happy that we found it! It has all that you need for the amazing and unforgettable vacation…Kids and dogs friendly! Great for fishing and crabbing! Some lucky people even could see the whales while sitting and relaxing near the fire pits ! We will miss this place and will definitely come back again!

The place was truly magical- complete with harbor seal that would cruise by the resort to say hello Despite all of the restrictions due to Coronavirus and the wildfires, my kids had a great time searching for sea glass, discovering the colorful rocks and shells, and playing in the water The cabin (#5) was super cute, warm, clean and had everything we needed

The kids loved the loft sleeping area and the ground floor bedroom was cozy And every single one of the staff we met was so incredibly nice! Let’s just say, I loved GIR so much that I was starting to plan our next trip there as we were driving away

We were in town for a wedding and we’re looking forward to staying here since it had good reviews Unfortunately our experience was not great We were checked in 45 minutes late due to room not being ready

I was told the room I had takes 2 people to clean and they were short staffed We were given some complimentary breakfast after my wife requested it for the hassle of trying to keep our toddlers busy for the extra time after a long flight and drive When we entered the room we immediately noticed the dirty and stained couch We were told we couldn’t switch rooms because the hotel was at full capacity The air conditioning units seemed to be out dated and couldn’t keep our room cool On our final night the ceiling began to leak on my wife’s head as we laid in bed We told the front desk about that the next morning and they did take around $60 off our bill The other rooms that our family stayed in seemed like they were in better condition The breakfast was good and B Town bar had good food and drinks

Horrible experience with staff and the rooms are far from the Marriott standard Mold and mildew smell throughout the room Office staff refused to transfer rooms upon reasonable request

They refused to transfer me so I requested to check out and they refused a refund It was not worth the energy to argue with them anymore I promise you will have a much better experience up the roadUpdate: I had my colleague stay there recently and somehow we both got on topic of our horrible experience Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here!

The hotel wasn’t exactly as I had hoped for being a Sheraton I was really hoping it was more like a 4+ star or more as its rated however personally I would only give it a 25 or 3 at BEST! It wasn’t very clean

The bathroom floors (baseboards and corners) were dirty as well as the toilet lidobviously it was just a quick clean and not done very thoroughly My white blankets etc had stains on them as well as the carpets I personally wouldn’t stay at this hotel againAnother thing that I noticed when I first walked in was that the entrance/lobby was dirty had some loose garbage and leaves which I initially thought ok well its near the door, but when I checked out and left the next morning the same garbage and leaves were still there So obviously they didn’t have someone cleaning the property or lobby for 24 hrs? Not a very good impression in my opinion

They helped us host a fantastic, intimate wedding in less than 2 months The staff was accommodating, professional, and friendly They even got us into our hotel room (the lighthouse) extremely early so the groomsmen could use it as a place to get ready as well as utilize it for photos

The food was excellent, the wait-staff prompt, and the bartender was friendly and made excellent drinks

Lovely hotel on the water with plenty of character The staff are all very helpful and cheerful The hotel has bikes and helmets that you can borrow to cycle around the area which is a really nice touch

Breakfast was also good The only downside is they have a decorative fire outside the building which looks cool but is a waste of fuel and emissions

Extremely disappointed My husband and I came here for our wedding night as we got married nearby I had heard only great things, loved what I read/saw online and even thought it would be a beautiful place to comeback to for anniversaries

We are big fan of jacuzzis and booked here solely because they had a room with a jacuzzi tub available When we arrived, we discovered that they upgraded our room to one without a jacuzzi We told the front desk staff that we’d be willing to downgrade to a smaller room with the tub we wanted but no such rooms were available We couldn’t speak to the manager until check out the next morning and I was surprised that after hearing how unhappy we were, he offered us a 10% refund We both left pretty dissatisfied and the whole thing left such a sour taste that we didn’t take his offer Now, whenever we are in the area (we have a lot of family nearby) or the hotel comes up in conversation, we don’t feel like staying there nor recommending it What’s worse, our negative experience at Hotel Bellwether is all we think of when we remember our wedding night
