We had a good stay at the Hilton; as we stayed here for two nights to be closer to work during the snow storm The king bed was nice and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and nice The room was quiet and had no issues

The big screen TV was nice too Barb at the Bar and Grill was very nice and did an excellent job The whole staff was friendly We enjoyed our stay and am pretty sure we will be staying again in the future

I was shocked to see all the 5 star ratings for the hotel when I booked it because that is very rare to find! I stayed her for a business trip and it was one of the nicest/cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in The staff were friendly and helpful The room looked and felt clean and also had the perfect set up

The hotel is close to many resturants and a Target! I also appreciated the well lit parking lot! I felt safe when walking to my car at night and in the morning

Jaimica Wilkins

I stayed here for a 3 day 2 night business trip The lobby is aesthetically pleasing Front desk staff are courteous and attentive

My room was a king room and very spacious I was impressed with the fitness center with exercise equipment, weights, yoga balls, and even a pylo box The hotel is conveniently located with many restaurants and shops close by I will definitely stay here again

The lobby was very nice The hallways, stairwells and elevators however looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks and weren’t vacuumed for the duration of our stay It was gross

The room AC worked great however the hallways were terribly warm The front desk staff was not friendly A smile goes a long way The beds were comfortable however the stains on the corner of the one mattress were not appealing Balcony could have been enjoyed more with two chairs and even a small table Only one chair provided Two of us showered and we were already out of body wash-that should have been filled prior to our arrival Pool area had nice chairs and water was refreshing Although the pool towels were very thin and small-the bath towels were much nicer It worked for a quick two night stay as it was close to our destination but would not return if in the area again

My husband and I stayed in one room and our cousin stayed in the room next door Upon arrival, we noticed that the sheets on me and my husband’s bed had stains on it and called to have them changed We went to our cousin’s room while this was being taken care of, and she discovered hair on the sheets on her bed

She too, requested to have her sheets changed and also discovered that her balcony had never been swept Once my husband and I returned to our room, we discovered that the balcony hadn’t been swept either, and there were no chairs for us to sit in The ottoman in front of the couch was covered in dog hair, and the shower had hair on the wall We went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager, stating that we have a complaint, and the employee answered “How can I help you”? Never confirming or denying if he was indeed the manager We told him what our issues were and he responded, telling us he would add 5,000 points on the honors club, which would apply to our cousin, who booked both rooms This is totally unacceptable, and we will never book a room at this location again Every one of our issues was an easy fix and should have been done long before our arrival Extremely disappointed and angry

Wayne Anderson

Excellent modest facility that offers clean rooms, a kind staff, and very close to the highway and local businesses The room provided was fresh and clean with updated furnishings and a recent bathroom remodelI liked the on-site convenience store which is available 24×7, even as the dining experience has scaled back to a more modest post-COVID offering

I cannot say enough positive things about this Courtyard hotelI’m a “Lifetime Diamond” member with Hilton and a Titanium member with Marriott so I travel A LOT!!I was in a jam recently and this hotel went above and beyond to take care of meAside from that, the hotel itself is fantastic!! It seems to be a newer location but is maintained meticulously

The room was spotless, the lobby was warm and inviting and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in Did not get a chance to try the breakfast (I had a 6am flight) but if the rest of the hotel is an example I’m sure it would have been very good as wellIf you’re in the Charlotte area, you will not regret staying here!! I will definitely be back Absolutely THE BEST example of the Courtyard by Marriott brand I’ve ever seen!!

Whether business or leisure, this is where I stay whenever I’m in Charlotte Great hotel Great staff

Always clean and quiet They have all of the amenities Nice spacious lobby with contemporary design, modern updated rooms with mounted flat screens, gym, pool, 2 private meeting rooms off the lobby and conference rooms Centrally located across the street from the Charlotte Premium Outlets Within a mile of restaurants (fast food and dining), gas stations, and grocery stores Very nice area

Sedara Wood

Upon my initial arrival the woman that greeted us wasn’t very kind and told us we needed to come back later because no rooms were available at 1:30p We had plans so we left and came back later in the night The night desk clerk was nice and checked us in

When we arrived to the room, we noticed a slight smell but we were exhausted and fell asleep Waking up in the middle of the night due to discomfort, we then noticed that the room was not cleaned as there were ants, a large dead bug in the corner, and hair in the sheets The next day after we left, we requested new sheets, towels, and to handle the ants We were offered a new room, but told we had to come get new towels from the front as they didn’t have room service I’ve stayed in many Courtyard Marriotts and I’ve never not been brought towels upon request I hate that we were even charged for that disgusting night Our next room was actually clean The next morning we checked out and we were asked about our stay and the woman (the same white woman that initially greeted us) could have cared less and said, “oh sorry, have a good day” We had a good experience with the two Black desk clerks, but that was the only positive of this stay

Spacious rooms that are designed well, are comfortable and clean Front desk staff are friendly and know how to do their job making guests feel welcome Breakfast is typical Hampton Inn fare – cereal, breads, yogurt, fruit, and waffles, as well as premade eggs, meat, potatoes but the lady week prepares everything is very friendly and willing to help you get what you want/need if it’s not out

A great hotel in a quiet location Highly recommend

Thomas H

The hotel is very clean seems on the newer side it’s walking distance to Harris so getting something from the hot bar instead of eating out is easy and there are a lot of restaurants nearby in walking distance And they gym is well thought of since it has dumbbells up to 75lbs and cable machine and kettle bells a rower a bike etc…The bad sides of the hotel is that they still us the plastic tiny bottles, also the windows are tiny in the room maybe 3ft wide kind reminds me of when I served time for the ponzy scam using alpacas but that’s another story for another day…

Also door is locked at 6pm so you have to use your key makes me feel like a teen trying to sneak into the hotel 🤫 🤐 🤫

The food was GREAT however, I had to move rooms twice The first room had scratched and scrapped furniture with big chunks missing There was a noticeable hole cut in the ceiling of the shower with some weird panel situation

The walls had what looked like food and stains Just a yucky room The second room wasn’t AS BAD, but the shower is nasty with grime, rust, and parts of the rubber to keep the water in ripped up which is really a tripping hazard I will be returning to the front desk in hopes they will exchange the room and maybe the third time is a charm The beds are comfortable that’s so far the only pro I have for the room Again hopefully I will be able to exchange for a third time

Harpey Family

Great stay for our family of 4 and the dog Staff is amazing, they addressed problems we had immediately Special thank you to Taylor and Shelby for their patience and kindness

We enjoyed the pool and the gym We had a keurig coffee machine Unfortunately we couldn’t rely on the fridge as temperature was fluctuating too much and we had to throw away our food We will be back

Dajah Eubanks

This past weekend, myself and three of my good friends visited this location and began our stay for a girls weekend One of the friends from the group booked our room with the Sonesta Hotel and told us that she’d chosen a “nice” hotel Although there were in fact some “nice” aspects of our stay including the staff who were extremely friendly and the lobby which was huge and comfortable, there were also some not so nice aspects of it as well

Upon entering our hotel room, we found that there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom Also, we’d purchased drinks at the gas station nearby and of course wanted to refrigerate them overnight However, we were hesitant as the mini fridge still had someone’s drink they’d purchased from McDonalds still sitting there We were quite skeptical of sleeping in the beds as we felt that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned When we notified the people at the front desk of this negligence, they were, again, super friendly and even offered to get us another room But, there were four of us who’d overpacked and it was too much of a hassle to move all of our belongings we’d just finished unpacking We had explained to the hotel staff that it was too much of an inconvenience for us to up and move somewhere else, which they were understanding of So, we just toughed in out in the current roomEven then, no one ever offered to give us a discount or at least compensate us a day for the lack of cleanliness Some other things I noticed about the building itself (specifically the outside) is that it doesn’t look as glamorous in person as it does in the pictures In fact, the building was in desperate need of a good pressure washing And, the chairs sitting outside of several of the rooms looked as though they hadn’t been sat in in ages Also, the temperature in our room remained on 65 the entire weekend we were there Yet, the the room felt like no air was circulating at all In fact, despite how potentially dangerous it can be, we actually had to prop our door open one night because it was so hot Overall the staff made the experience a comfortable one with their kindness, I wish I’d been assured that the room had been thoroughly cleaned, especially with us still being in the middle of a pandemic Also, I wish more effort was put into making the outside of the building look more welcoming

The staff at this Hampton Inn is phenomenal Our reservation was booked on the wrong date, and customer service wouldn’t refund or let us change the date We were going to have to pay full price for another hotel room

The amazing desk clerk, Shara, helped us speak with the customer service agent and even got us a great deal on a room after all that had happened Although the cleanliness of the hotel was subpar, I would come back just for the front desk staff Thank you again to Shara, for making our stay enjoyable and memorable!!!

I booked a block here for our wedding guests and while the hotel/rooms were very nice, the staff was not helpful There was a change in sales manager between the time when we booked the room block vs actual block dates and the front desk staff was extremely rude anytime we had to call, there were issues booking the transportation that was initially included in our contract, and the staff was generally not responsive

Luckily I moved our wedding party to a different hotel that was amazing & got most of our guests to move – the ONLY hitch in our wedding planning was dealing with this hotel

Room(s):- The room was humid Air conditioning struggled to keep the room at the set temperature It fluctuated between warm humid and cool

– The entire carpet had a sticky feeling (possibly from humidity issues) After walking around on the carpet for an hour, my feet were covered in a black substance I had to wash my feet just before going to bed each night- There were additional dark sticky spots on the floor that seemed like someone had spilled sauce on the floor and the floor was never cleaned- Air conditioner had a mild mold scent- Toilet frequently gets hung up and keeps flushing We were able to stop the toilet from continuing to flush each time, but it took us a few minutes to notice that it wasn’t stopping- Beds, entrance, refrigerator, and bathroom were clean- A friend staying in another room found a live roach The front desk attendant assisted with the removalFeatures:- The digital key card only worked on the first day for the room It failed to work the following day as it kept turning red after telling me it was ready to unlock my room door Hilton Customer support informed us that we would have to contact the front desk every time it failed to get a new token The last time I had this issue at a Hampton Inn, I had to get it reset multiple times It appears Hilton has not fixed this, but this is part of my experience at this hotel- The digital key card did not work at any of the other doors like the ice machine or side entrances which had stickers stating to use the digital key card The digital key card would not even acknowledge they existed like it had for my room- The breakfast items were sometimes okay The eggs were the powdered eggs and were often sitting in a pool of water Over the course of the stay, they also had slices of maple sausage, sausage patties, bacon, and breakfast sausage linksStaff:Staff were very friendly and courteous They tried to help us as much as needed Gerald (front desk attendant for most of our stay) assisted us as needed and greeted us every time we passed byHalls/Elevator:The halls and the elevator were very warm and humidFinal points:We chose a room based on specific conditions We needed a large room for walking around due to having an infant We needed space to pace and calm her down We chose to be on the top floor in a corner room away from everyone and the highway to minimize the amount of opportunities that might wake our infant and the opportunities for our infant to wake others The conditions were specific and such a room existed, but the carpet was disgusting We kept our luggage in the entrance area which had plastic or laminated tiles It was more stressful that the room struggled to maintain a consistent temperature The halls on the fourth floor were humid and warm The elevator was humid and warmThis review would have been a one star review if the front staff had the same qualities as the rest of the hotel and featuresI hope this hotel understands they need to actually clean the roomsI voiced my complaints 4 days ago I have yet to be contacted by the hotel manager within 3 days per Hilton’s requirement in their email If you come to stay at a hotel solely to meet the staff, this is your place I would look for other Hilton properties in the area if possible and within your means

I was here for a two day meeting (I live in Charlotte) and I was pleasantly surprised They have an EV charger including Tesla so I was able to charge my car They provided lunch for our group and instead of giving this vegan a salad, I had a chickpea wrap that was delicious

Very thoughtful hotel for conferences I will recommend this hotel to family when they visit💜

Geneva Diva

I do not recommend this hotel for longer than 2 nights I stayed a week and it was always a struggle to get bathroom supplies Housekeeping does not clean, they won’t even empty your trash

When I arrived, the swimming pool was green and anyway since the rooms overlook the pool, everyone will see you from above so I didn’t go I did like the functional room design and large window I had a nice open view The independent AC unit is freaking loud and there’s no way to change the setting so be ready to sleep with high decibels Took me a few nights to get used to

deobeon

This place seemed very future-forward, with the fir pit outside, I thought it had a bit of an upscale look The indoor bar also presented itself in being upscale Lounger vibe and feel was absolutely there with the dinner tables inside of the walls

I thought that was very upscale However, the 4 stars are there because of the lil shop that didn’t seem to have much The breakfast started at 6/630a and I had to leave at 5a which I’m not taking the star away for There was only one microwave to service the entire hotel, and the rooms are spacious enough for microwaves, at the least I was late to work because the front desk had mistakenly entered the wrong credit card number to my already paid rooms, and tried charging my card for the room (our company paid for the room a few nights in a row, so I’m unsure with why there was a mix up) But all was well in a few short minutes once my boss called in to ensure the room was paid in full There were no incidentals The lobby smelled great but may have been much more perfume than it needed to be

Our room had comfortable/stylish furniture The bed was comfortable and clean The hotel offers various free streaming options on a large LG tv in each room

The bathroom was spacious and immaculateLoved that his place was dog friendly! So difficult to find a clean and comfortable hotel that is dog friendly with out being expensiveThe breakfast was a little lack luster, but was fineWe will definitely stay here again on our way to or from Florida

Kurt Thaxton

First and foremost I want to say the rooms are very nice That being said, the service at this hotel is horrible! The staff is almost never available at the front desk I am referring specifically to the morning staff

The evening staff is better at being present and available for their guests I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel until Marriott takes a serious look at the customer service level of their front desk staff at this location

Shalagh Hunter

Rooms were a very good size for a family of 5 We were able to set up a playpen in the room as well with no issues Beds were comfortable enough

Complimentary breakfast was decent Bathroom could’ve been cleaned better Could hear some road traffic, but worst of all the room next to us had a party until like 2am Had to call the front desk and I know several other rooms called as well because I heard them knock at least 3x to ask them to settle down I just don’t feel like this should’ve been stretched over like 3 hours I had a horrible night’s rest with a long ride home in the morning

Such a friendly staff! Room was amazing with big fridge, and stocked kitchenette VERY comfortable king bed Great TV and remote

Very clean I wish I could have stayed longer! Hotel was sold out but I did not heard much noise at all Convenient ice machine as well as the ability to make ice in the room if you have the time Would have been nice to have a soda machine on the floor but there was a nice selection on the first floor I did not have time for the continental breakfast so I cannot comment on that Great price for the amazing room!

Eric Barbour

The service by the staff was fine But the continental breakfast was just kinda of Meh This might seem a little picky but if you are competing with outer hotels then I would expect more

The self checkout store is a good idea but the scanner did not recognize a few items so they lost some coin The rooms were clean and nice The location was easy to find The staff was nice and attentive

Fantastic Hilton chain I can’t rave about them more than I already do on other reviews Very consistent throughout the U

S as far as quality, service, and cleanlinessThis location has a decent size parking lot for the lot Everytime I’ve stayed here they have been able to accommodate my F250, and 20ft flatbedHighly recommend this hotel chain

My husband and I are both thoroughly enjoyed our stay The manager was so kind and get the fire pit for even though it was late Breakfast was amazing

It was very quiet and peaceful also spotless which is very important to us We will come again I did leave my electric toothbrush there and I’m hoping it will turn up But that was my fault for leaving it Thanks so much for an enjoyable getaway It was very much needed

John

Nice, comfortable stay in this clean, quiet, and conveniently located hotel The hotel seems recently updated Took the one star because the breakfast was limited with just a couple pre-cooked items, yogurt, cereal, bagels, and oatmeal

Also, the tub faucet in the room was loose and you had to pull the diverter up before opening the water; otherwise half the water would not make it to the shower headStaff was very nice and accommodating The small pool was great for relaxing at the end of the day

The staff are pleasant but the hotel is worn and needs a refresh in the lobby and the rooms We had the unfortunate experience of having our toilet overflow, even though we indicated it wasn’t working properly the day before Surprised that the bathroom was not cleaned after the repair, we came home to a tub full of towels used to capture the toilet water after repair

We again requested to have the bathroom cleaned and were told the staff had gone home for the day that they would provide cleaning supplies for me if I wanted to clean it Totally frustrated, I called Marriott Customer Service and opened a case I pressed the front desk and they called the local manager We checked out a few hours later The manager called to apologize and offer a small creditHe was pleasant, but being asked to clean was outrageous I realize things break but when a customer tells you the toilet isn’t working, it saves a lot of money and frustration to fix it correctly the first time In a two night visit we had 3 attempts on the toilet repair If the location is what you need, try the Hampton Inn across the street, we visited friends staying there and found that hotel to be nicer than ours

K9 Fit Bootcamp

I was in town for a dog training client in the Gastonia area The hotel is perfect spot for food and not far from Charlotte The check in process was easy and quick

Our room was clean and the bottled water came in perfect that was left in our room Everyone we encountered that works there is so friendly and nice Thanks for a great stay! The whirlpool was AMAZING!

C & D Auto Exchange

Stayed two nights August 10 and August 11 Room was clean but smelled musty

Staff was courteous and switched to us to a better room The evening of August 11 someone pulled the fire alarm at 330 am and the entire hotel stayed outside for about an hour waiting for fire alarms to be shut down by fire department Horrible Then about 7 am hotel staff entered my room with out knocking or announcing themselves Freaked out by this So I of course latched the door Then at 8 am someone from the staff tried to enter once again Yes the latched worked!! I guess the phones don’t work where they can call to see if the rooms are empty Ridiculous Obviously went to the front desk staff that morning and they agreed to credit half my stay Which I agreed since I stayed two nights and the last night was disturbed by an individual that decided to pull the fire alarm and their in welcomed staff But wait What they meant was they were crediting my card for half that night stay I found this out after I left and confirm the amount Not happy and not the best area to stay Will not return

Although the pandemic is hopefully coming to a close, it is no time to relax standards of cleaning and disinfectingThankfully I travel with my own lysol spray, wipes, towels and pillow cases If not for those items, I would have departed this hotel within 15 minutes of check in

There were hairs on the sheets, crud (of unknown origin) in the bathroom and other indicators that the room had not been deep cleaned in a while Housekeeping changed the sheets upon request but this experience has made me consider even packing my own sheets!Simply put – Do better!

We really felt comfortable at this hotel It was tucked in a beautiful neighborhood, very put together lobby, and breakfast was enough to get us through We stayed in a king suite and that was plenty room for 3 kids and two adults

The pullout bed was doable for the kids and they offer pack and plays for littles for $10 The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is because there was a floss left on the floor, the air filter really needed to be changed, and you could hear the people upstairs at night Otherwise, I felt safe and taken care of here They also have a 5:30 snack and drink time but we didn’t get to check that out

From what i understand Drury Inn&Suites all do this free breakfast not what you not even close some places that say free this breakfast was everything you could ask for hot or cold It does stop there in the evening they have a snack this isnt a snack its a full meal from soup to entreeEverything to make a meal over by 7 but if you have kids its perfect and you get 2 adult drinks per night

The gym was clean the pool inside outside a little small but great for kidsAll interactions with staff was met with a smile no matter what time Day or nightI also saw some dogs to All in All its a place to be

Beautiful hotel with a rich history from its previous history as a bank All of the decor and restoration of the building plays homage to its previous life Our bed was cushy and easy to fall asleep in

The bathroom was beautiful, serene, and there was no concern about it being unclean The receptionist made sure we had clearly explained access to the wifi password, meal times and locations, and rooftop access; she also made lovely restaurant recommendations! I went with a friend who had some physical disabilities and they accommodated her very well and we had easy access to handicapped accessible parking close to the front of the building

Wonderful hotel right in downtown Gastonia Not too far from the intersecting highways and a small drive to Charlotte Douglas airport You own it to yourself to check out this remodeled bank! It maintains some of it originality while being comfortable and cozy

If you get the chance to be on the roof at sunrise or sunset it makes the stay worth it! Simple, quaint rooms with all the basic amenities Barrister’s on the main floor has a great burger and the breakfast in the lower floor is delicious

My husband and I got married at Separk Mansion in May 2022 and reserved room blocks at the Esquire Hotel for ourselves and out of town guests We had the most amazing experience – Cody, Sarah, and the entire staff were all very welcoming, accommodating, and on top of everything From handing out 50 welcome bags to guests at check in to arranging a perfect rehearsal dinner and making sure our bridal party had everything we needed while we got ready in the bridal suite, I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough

I did not get any photos, we pulled in at 2am or so after almost 7 hours of driving, me and a buddy were headed south to buy a car We headed to breakfast around 0815 Let me tell you that was one of the best hotel breakfast I have had in awhile

The staff was great and keeping everything stocked up to included the bacon The bacon was perfect The breakfast alone started my day off right for the the drive for the next 3 hours Room was fine, would easily stay at this location again The breakfast was what all holiday inn and hampton inn should be striving for, that kitchen crew should be given the kudos they deserve

Clean room, and convenient to the interstate We stopped late to just rest our heads for the night near the end of March 2022 Breakfast in the morning was surprisingly good for the cost of the hotel

Rooms were modern and cleanWe would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity arose

It was okay for one night There was stuff splattered on the walls The ceiling in the bathroom had stuff splattered on it

The big light had bugs in it The shower is so tiny that you can barely stand and it’s very slippery The ledges in the shower are slanted and can’t hold anything The inside of the fridge was disgusting The lady at the front desk wasn’t very welcoming The beds were comfortable and clean, so like I said, it’s okay for one night

Very nice hotel, and I had a good stay The staff was friendly upon checking in and the room was clean Comfortable bed

Peaceful location The only reason I’m rating 4 stars is because the shower drain needs to be unclogged I hate when the water rises up in the tub while taking a shower Drains should be checked periodicallyOverall great hotel, and would stay again

The room SMELLED! It was a strong mildew odor I was told that the room would be freshened etc

still after that the room had the same odor The linens did not feel clean Kept feeling like the linens were moist… The pool was out of order The bar/restaurant was never open There are holes in the wall in the hallway on the second floor It sucks because the hotels right across the street were so much better than this one The staff at the front desk are cool, but my stay was horrible and I feel like they just took my money and didn’t care how my stay went Never again!!!

Extremely disappointed in our stay, The main reason I booked this hotel over others was due to the indoor pool bar and restaurant on site none of those amenities were open and there was nothing saying otherwise on the website at the time of booking When we arrived the staff seem to not care and offered nothing to make up for the lack of amenities considering that we paid quite the full price for the room The room although appeared clean most surfaces when touching them were sticky

Going forward I would have a hard time booking any Hilton affiliated hotel as this was a most unpleasant stay
