The lobby/check in staff were fantastic! The room was clean (minus needing a little dusting), the breakfast was awesome & it was in a great location We did have a couple of critiques, but nothing that was a big deal We asked for the room farthest from the elevator & was given the room right by the elevator, we were charged for a pet fee, despite not having a pet & leaving the room very clean (but they graciously removed), not having a bathroom ventilation fan in the bathroom & low water pressure, but we were very pleased w/ our stay & would definitely go back!

Deanna Lewis

We stayed here for a stop at six flags America This was a perfect location due to the food and shopping nearby, The pool is nice (not too exciting but good for keeping kids entertained for a little)The breakfast here was excellent with good choices Check in and out was also easy

Do ask for a room away from the elevators as they do make noise when they arrive on the same floor, if that is something that will bother you

Tim J

I didn’t stay here, my family did They told me that the room was very comfortable and spacious They enjoyed the breakfast and even though the lobby was full, there was still ample room to move around

The liked the fact that the location is off the mall but yet is on it so they really didn’t have to deal with mall too much mall traffic interrupting them They would stay at this property again

Overall my stay was enjoyable The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95 Ext

on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free That was a plus! Although I didn’t get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One The staff were all very friendly My room was clean as well I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area

Kala Twigg

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could But this hotel is disgusting Not clean

Whole first tower smells like water damage My lungs & throat have been killing me Was contemplating staying extra days Definitely not now Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals Children were complaining of that And water damage The elevators smell like urination And there is dust & dirt in every crevice Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for I will be beyond grateful to be HOME (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past The carpets reek of water/mildew Convenient to the highway But … save your money people Drive elsewhere

Dan Royea

I really enjoyed my stay here Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator

I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out) And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned Nice indoor pool Also has a nice restaurant/bar Outside was just as clean as the inside was It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport I highly recommend staying here if your in the area

It was an absolute breeze in more ways than one! Checking in and checking out was very smooth and painless, with no waiting in line and everything done electronically (with clear emailed instructions) Access to the building, elevator, and room was all enabled by an easy-to-set-up app – very, very cool The room itself was sleek, modern, and comfortable – there was free coffee pods, which was a nice touch

It was also comforting to have an onsite contact in the lobby just in case anything went wrong – and she was warm and helpful and went the extra mile by delivering a bottle of water to my door

Krystal Quinlan

I recently stayed here as a solo woman traveler on a night off/retreat from the family (because sometimes you need a break!) The room was quiet, comfortable, and clean, and I felt safe The décor is trendy and elevated

The bed was super comfy, and I really appreciated the walk-in shower There was also a full kitchen where I could stash and reheat my food There are plenty of fast casual and sit down restaurants close by, as well as bars with live music and outdoor seating I would definitely return for another “night off”

Hilary Leister

I had a great experience at the new Coda on Half property! Placemakr is a cool company – they’re hotel rooms are actually in apartment buildings, so you typically have more space, full service kitchens, washer + dryer, etc in each room The property was really clean and modern and in an awesome neighborhood! If you’re going to the Nats ballpark, this property is literally right down the straight

I definitely recommend staying here

We spent one night at the Courtyard recently I loved this hotel The room we stayed in was large and really nice

The bed was comfortable and the down comforter along with a strong air conditioner gave us a great sleepThe only small knock against this hotel is the location It was easy enough to get wherever we wanted to go – the hotel is less than a block from the NoMa station on the red line So that part wasn’t bad But the neighborhood was under a lot of construction, and didn’t appear to be among the safer neighborhoods in DC Also, because of the construction, getting to the hotel was a bit of a challenge The directions given by it GPS included what would have been illegal left turns, so we had to go a long way around to make our way It was all a little confusing But once we got there we were able to park the car and take the Metro everywhere we wanted to go, so it wasn’t a big issueThe rate on the room was really reasonable, the service was good and the folks at the reception desk were both very nice and very helpful We would happily stay here again

BC Turk

To start, the valet parking is outrageous but there is a garage literally right down the same road for about a third the price The staff is super friendly Housekeeping would speak to us and ask if we needed anything as we headed to the elevators

Everyone was always saying, Have a good day” The amenities within the hotel room were good We checked the sheets and filters and all was clean Sheets are super thin but worked out okay Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink/bar All the you need I like the security they have coming in It is a two minute walk to the Metro (red line) Would recommend for location being close to a walking path and the Metro

Mohammed Mohammad

Stayed here for 4 days Overall my stay was great My stay included breakfast

This hotel is great in terms of service and kind staff As for the breakfast, it’s not an open buffet style They have a menu and customer choose from it Though the choices were limited, we enjoyed every breakfast dish we tried Chef Mo is an excellent chef excited these dishes in a fine great way Ladies tacking the orders also were very friendly and helpful As for the location, it’s a 15-20 min walk to the convention center and a little bit more to reach the attractions near to it The only thing they need to add is an airport shuttle which currently not available Enjoyed the toiletries with the refreshing lemon smell Overall, thank you guyz for the great stay

I booked through Bookingcom I arrived to check-in around 11pm on a Saturday night, we were greeted by a young lady

She was very friendly and informative Everything was nice & clean & it smelled great However, we noticed what appeared to be poop on the side of our toilet I let the front desk agent know and notice she was struggling to find another room for us since they were at full capacity for the night I told her I’d be fine if someone just cleaned the toilet She expressed that she’s supposed to move me but she just doesn’t have another room and came into the room and deep cleaned the bathroom all over again herself For our inconvenience, they gave us extra reward points and free breakfast Aside from the poop, I was certainly pleased with my stay & the way the front desk handled the situationThe king bed was super comfy and so was the room HVAC worked like the one in my home and wasn’t super loud like most hotelsOur free breakfast was amazing & the morning staff gave us no trouble with providing it The cafe area staff were very friendly and profession yet personable Even though they were busy Sunday morning, they held it down

Anthony Pinto

We stayed here for a few nights in late winter All and all it was a good experience The rooms were clean and the grounds were in order, there were no major complaints

I did have a few small complaints 1) There was trash in the vending machine alcove It sat there for 2 days until we said something because of the smell 2) The bar leaves a bit to be desired Nothing hot is served after breakfast, anything that could be considered related to Starbucks is breakfast only It was 20deg outside when we stayed so something warm to drink would have been really nice 3) the delivery trucks do not go to the delivery doors Instead they pull up right in front of the hotel and block the entry way Speaking with the clerk this was a common occurrence 4) This is more of an honorable mention but the rooms do not have a microwave If you need to heat food you have to go to the lobbyAll things considered I would stay here again if I was in the area

Blackfoot Abo

I stayed here for about 2 weeks The place is tucked away in plain sight! The rooms are really nice, clean, and very modern design The staff is very helpful

I like the fact that they have security that patrol the parking lot at night to minimize car thefts etc The lobby is really big, with the bistro/bar, with ample seating, also a tv/lounge area, computer space all in one big area but they all set themselves apart from the other areas The indoor pool is a win and the gym So you can’t beat this place if your looking for a place to stay

I wish I could give it a lower rating This is by far the worst experience that I have ever had in all my years at staying at a hotel I went to check in at 9:30pm on 4/15 with my 83 year old mother

We were exhausted from traveling all day When we got into the lobby, there was a crowd of people standing there and no one behind the desk I asked someone what was happening and they basically said there were no rooms available When the front desk clerk came back she informed that they were short staffed and no one was able to clean the rooms The rooms would not be available until tomorrow It was not the young ladies fault and I felt bad for her because she was by herself and doing the best she could, but they should have reached out before hand so maybe people could have made alternative plans It was basically like good luck So 10pm at night, we had to find another hotel Thankfully we found one close by While standing there, I am glad we did not stay there People were coming down looking for clean towels and blankets and there were none! Then I finally had time to call the hotel back today to make a formal complaint because I never received a call and the manager, Tammy was extremely passive and could care less when telling her the situation that happened She insisted I booked through Expedia which I am telling her I booked through American Express travel and that is all she could keep informing me And I feel like whomever I booked through, the hotel made a mistake and should honor their customers that were extremely mistreated She could care less This is the worst experience that I have ever had and the customer service of this hotel was beyond horrible PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE

Joetta Ervins

I really like staying here The accommodations are great This is my second time staying there and when we plan another vacation, that’s where we will stay

The staff members are always very professional and welcoming They have a great breakfast to help start your day I would recommend the Staybridge Suites any time you are in the area

Amelia Combs

The hotel lobby and rooms were nice and clearly newer Rooms were relatively clean, but there was hair on floor of bathrooms and brownish stuff on the bathroom wall Water pressure was pretty bad, but plenty of hot water

Also, the apartment was not appointed for a large family (7) staying, including not enough towels, silverware, bedding (for pullout), etc We were surprised that the pullout didn’t have bedding and had scrounge for some late at bedtime from housekeeping You’d think if you advertise that up to 8 can stay in a suite, you’d have enough settings and bedding for all of themThe pool access key reader didn’t work and you had to go find someone at the front desk to let you in Also, towels not available at pool They also said pool and spa, though it was just a pool Not sure what they considered the “spa” portionContinental breakfast was well below average We got there about 8:30a and it was slim pickings When we asked if they would be restocking empty items, they said no They didn’t even respond to another guest’s request for more coffee I could see if it were close to ending time, but that wasn’t the case either morning for usAlso, there were piles of trash outside most rooms in the hallways that were left uncollected most days Pretty grossBut our biggest complaints were that the hotel reeked of marijuana smoke, so much so that we could smell it strongly in our room Not a pleasant way to sleep at allAlso, one night we were there and a tornado warning was announced We exited our 4th floor room and asked at the front desk where the tornado shelter was She said she didn’t know and just kind of shrugged We ended up sheltering in the first floor laundry room until the warning passed No communication from staff at allIce machine on 3rd floor was broken First floor was fine, but it’s crazy they don’t have one on every floorOur last night there (of 3 total) the fire alarm went off three (3!!!) times total-10p, 1a, and 10a The first time we were running our 5 kids through a shower and had to evacuate the building The smell of marijuana smoke was so strong in the hall, that was no doubt what set it off The 1am we were all fast asleep and the blaring alarms sounded nearly 20 minutes, even after we finally went to the front desk and were told some kid had set the alarm off 10am alarm awoke us with a start after a nightmare of trying to get 5 kids settled after a stressful night We packed up our stuff and leftThe beds were comfortable enough and the location was convenient for restaurants and the Largo station on the blue line That’s about it In sum, I don’t think I’d recommend staying here given all the negatives While the staff wasn’t rude, they are either untrained or just so severely understaffed that they cannot properly manage the hotel

Place a bit weird 4th floor is probably under construction because the hallway is not air conditioned, super hot during the day and smell like rodents and have a few wall coverings taped in place by masking tape and a part of the hallway curtained off and that where the heat is coming fromThe rooms are quite nice and AC works

Clean bathroom Although the toilet is super high and you feel like a perching eagle with feet dangling (I am 5’10”) Pillows are of 2 varieties – feather and synthetic Decent mattress as wellThere is even a little balcony with a nice view onto the inner patioThe pool is closed due to some regulation from 2020 Gym is open 24 hrs with free weights, 2 treadmills and an elliptical Towels, disinfectant wipes and chilled water machine make it a nice experience working outBar is closed

California Dreaming

After being on the road for 4 hours I arrived to the hotel 35 minutes before the 3pm check in time I went inside to ask if I could possibly check in early (you have to be buzzed in) and as soon as the door opens the lady at the front desk yells across the lobby “if you’re here to check in check in time isn’t until 3pm” I understand rules are made to be followed, I get it, but I would have appreciated a little professionalism on her part to at least pretend to want to accommodate me even if the result (me having to wait 35 minutes to check in) was the same

So I go outside and wait until 3pm to come back to a very rude check in process (by the same lady) I was already turned off by my experience with the front desk only to open the door to a room that was subpar especially for the price I paid (there was a concert going on at the FedEx Field so I’m hoping that’s why the prices were inflated) The bed was springy and lacked support or cushion, the pillows were flat, and my comforter was dingy and stained The shower is VERY small (tub/shower combo) and had hair in it My mirrors had what I assume to be toothpaste splattered on it I explored the area and ended up checking into another hotel nearer to the concert venue that had a very polite staff and the hotel and rooms were a lot cleaner In the immediate area (literally next door to each other) are two other hotel optionsthere is a Residence Inn by Marriott and a Hilton Garden I believe I would fork over the extra couple of dollars in hopes that the service, beds, and cleanliness are better Needless to say if there is an event in the area again I would definitely not come back and will avoid any stays at the Sonesta brand in the future

Nomad Family

Nothing about this hotel makes it worth the price Staff is unprofessional They double charged our bank card for no reason

They said the money would go back to our account same day, had to wait 5+ days Rooms are decent, no amenities here except a mediocre gym Pool is closed for no reason, you have to request microwaves, the fridge in rooms is very small and don’t work well Definitely shady at night, a guy kept trying to sell stuff to us as we enter and exit the hotel building Late at night people standing in the hallways talking loudly The front desk people have no respect and speak to you like you have never stayed in a hotel before, don’t waste your money! Do not recommend and won’t return

Mixed feelings… Making the reservation and getting an accurate rate – then confirming the rate – through IHG was a NIGHTMARE I spent over two hours total on the phone and talked with five different people to get things straightMy group of 16 selected this hotel because it had parking, breakfast, and a pool

Unfortunately the pool was closed (IHG did not mention this when I confirmed with them that the hotel did in fact have a pool) and two of our non-smoking rooms smelled like cigarette smokeThe breakfast was okay Nothing special, but okayThe positive side of things is that the staff was FANTASTIC The manager apologized for the problems, did not try to cover anything up or make any excuses, and did his best to make things right! He was gracious in ensuring that we received the correct rate and compensation for the smokey rooms He also explained that the hotel is under new ownership and new management who are actively working to improve the facility We even saw an interior design team present when we checked in

Chase was super professional and accommodating He answered all my question without and hesitation My day was definitely fulfilled meeting him with his pleasant attitude

After having a ruff day he made my stay so much more comfortable I appreciated his professionalism and will definitely be returningCandace,Collin, Ms brown mad my checkout easy and smooth Despite having a minor hiccup (on my part) the help me out with no problem I appreciate them beyond words Come here you won’t be disappointed!!!

Was greeted at desk by a gentleman in a plain white t shirt and jeans, not professional, and some guests making a complaintFound the pool and hot tub was closed by a handwritten note at front desk We specifically booked this hotel for those amenities

Our room on the first floor was in no way a soundproof room, highway traffic and other guests noise, caused a sleepless nightHowever the room was clean and the breakfast selections were nice

Stayed this weekend and this is a fabulous hotel The service, the location the people who work there really made my stay amazing And when I needed an extra night because of a car issue they easily and quickly accommodated me and price matched to a nearby hotel I was going to check into after I had already checked out of their hotel

The Decor was amazing, the design I mean it all was great and made my Instagram very popular for the weekend Definitely will get my business again and would recommend

Katie Roth

We were charged $31 a night for amenity fees, we never used any of them This was not explained until we checked out Keurig in the room did not work, was also told the ‘free’ water in the room was included in the amenity fees

There was also a grease stain on one set of sheets and I found a couple of small blood stains on mine The staff was wonderful But would not stay again, I don’t appreciate hidden ‘amenity fees’ when they are something I did not even use

What a wonderful hotel! I was in DC for a work trip and decided to stay an extra night My first 4 star hotel, the room was like a staying in a basement and I couldn’t stand another night My extra night was at my own expense so I wanted to enjoy it

Wow did I ever make a great choice! What a difference! Hotel Zena, bright, modern, friendly staff well worth schlepping the 4 blocks with my bag!

My Insurance company made housing arrangements while work was being performed on my home We stayed here for a month and a half The staff was outstanding from the front desk to housekeeping

It was me, my son and my daughter The room had a fold out bed which my son could use and my daughter took the other room I had the master bedroom with the attached bathroom The kids used the other bathroom with a tub A little wear and tear on the unit but overall it was clean We used the gym, pool, and basketball court I would have given 5 stars but took away a star due to the cabinet door coming off in the kitchen area

Jack Ryan

The room was well laid out and spacious I was left alone, and they had an ok breakfast They get a lower rating because they don’t deal with disruptive guests after a complaint is made

I had to deal with the room above me banging around for several hours because they were, “working out”, while I was trying to type up a report Next time tell them that you have a workout room

K K

Very disappointing Despite being gold elite, we didn’t receive our upgrade We had only three towels despite reserving the room for 4 people

The bathroom door won’t lock, won’t even latch closed The room was not feather free like we requested because of an allergy, so at 9:30 at night I called and asked for feather free pillows and we were told we had to go to the front desk to get pillows However, most of the time there’s an away sign at the front desk The subway station is not a short walk like they advertise After being Marriott members for over a decade this was definitely one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had

Good experience and a good price Satisfied customer I stayed here one weeknight in January 2022

Online I got a AAA rate of $80 for the room ($90 total), which is a great price, and the room was good The lobby is very attractive I did not see the pool during my stay My room had mini fridge and in-room coffee, but no microwave TV and bathroom were good so I have no complaints about the room The only drawback is the lack of free breakfast I had forgotten that one of the main concepts of Courtyard hotels is that breakfast is not included There is a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant located in a high-rise building across the street, and it’s quite decent and without super high prices Overall I was pleased with my choice for this one-night stay near Washington DC

Kelly Rittenberry

We asked if there is a cot available because my teenage son is now over 6 foot I guess we’re getting to the point where our kids want their own beds They did not have a cot available but Brianna at the front desk suggested an upgrade to a 2 room suite at no cost

The suite was awesome both rooms were very clean In my job, we talk about the delighting customers She certainly did that Thank you to Brianna and the other gentleman at the desk Everyone was kind and quick to help This was our first stop on our road trip and it’s off to a good start Thank you!

1 When we arrived, we paid for and reserved a king size bed and was also hoping to be placed in one of the rooms that was renovated We were placed in a pretty creepy room with two full size beds that were not big enough for us Room was reserved in advance and should have been held, especially being a rewards member Additionally, as reward member one of the perks is being eligible for an upgrade but that was not offered to us either2 We had to be moved to another room which was a big inconvenience of having to pack things back up to change rooms3 We waited over 14 hours waiting on towels after requesting 3-4 times4 The coffee isn’t courtesy, which is fine Okay, I paid for coffee each day But what I wasn’t happy with is the fact that one day in particular I asked for a refill and was quickly shut down (after paying) Cool, I understand that is policy But get this my husband later wakes up and comes down and was offered (and given) a free cup of coffee (which he gave to me) Although, I received the benefit it was still disappointing to see that type of service take place after I paid and was turned down when asking for a refill That truly did not make sense to meAnyhow, many contributing factors as to why we would not stay here again when visiting family Choose wisely

Nice hotel Parking was free on weekends so if you are leaving on a weekend there’s no need to payEntry is a bit weird off the street but the security of this hotel is 5 stars

You need your keycard to get around Staff was nice as well Room was clean Like most hotels the bathroom could use some more attention but overall was very satisfied

Rooms are okay The curtains still let light pass in the morning The extra bed had no blanket included so we had to order some (without charge but we specifically asked at check in but had to repeat request a second time)

Nothing else is included There is no swimming pool, no gym, no breakfast included, and a paid parking It’s disappointing for the price

NYCFLY

Convenient transportation, convenient shopping, quick check-in, considerate handmade chocolate cookies at the front desk, business center, easy access to computers, clean and tidy rooms But there is no matching pool and exercise equipment, the room does not have a microwave, parking is not ideal, there is paid parking and paid breakfastSo Check-in is recommended if parking and breakfast are not required

We always stay at a Holiday Inn Express when we travel but this was not the same experience Outside looks like their typical/renovated hotel however, rooms are very dated and small I wouldn’t recommend this location if you enjoy other Holiday Inn Express locations, you will be disappointed

Pros:-Not far from tourist attractions-No daily parking fee (others in the area charge)-Parking lot/facility was gated and well lit-Morning front desk staff were pleasant and helpfulCons:-Typical breakfast was missing ‘normal’ options daily (We were there for 6 days/5 nights) Also, breakfast staff was overheard talking about guests to other guests (not positively)-No hot water one morning but was corrected in the afternoon Also, shower made a very loud sound while water was running-Rooms are very outdated and small comparatively-Possibly not the greatest area but I’m not from around there I only say that because the front door is a key card swipe to open 24/7 and there is a security guard overnight

This location is situated perfectly for enjoying the area It’s a safe and clean place to stay The Ritz Carlton it is not

There was a disconnect somewhere on there part concerning my reservation but fortunately it was resolved later that evening It has its own parking lot but if you happen to go when the hotel is at capacity, finding a spot might be a chore Parking spaces are tight It’s very dated and some of the furniture and drapes in my room looked tired It definitely needs some attention to detail Breakfast was OK and served its purpose Walmart is just down the street I would stay here again but it would not be my first choice

Pros and cons—Cons: To Google maps and IHG Google stated this was 8 minutes from my destination NOT!And from the employee standpoint

ahem IHG please get them renovated!!Pros: Staff, hkpg and the girl at the front desk who greeted me were wonderful! (give them a raise!)Clean but dated rooms Breakfast was yummy, just like the one at my hotel!👋😄

It was an awesome time that we had at the Homewood Suites as we celebrated a family gathering and the atmosphere was conducive for this event The front desk staff was attentive and even funny as they made it a greater experience The quality of the upkeep was well worth the time of enjoying this space

So if you are in the DC area and you don’t mind maneuvering all of the 95s in the vicinity then give this location of Homewood Suites a stay!

I called the front desk early, themorning after my stay, to extend myroom for one more night and the front desk confirmed When I returned to my room that evening and used my key to enter my room, all my belongings were gone Front desk said they had given my room to another guest

The manager would not respond byphone or text to the front desk person in charge at that time After competing in a sporting event any being too tired to drive home, I was lefttrying to find another hotel for the night

Mr.&Mrs. Keesee

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in When I checked in the room was not ready and it took 2 additional hours to get into the room while awaiting it to be cleaned 3 hours after my check in When we finally got into the room there were no wash clothes and was told there were none available

There was dried pee on the toilet seat The staff were rude and unprofessional The mattress cover was being used as the comforter I’m assuming because they didn’t have those either There were no options for people who do not eat pork for breakfast They ran out of syrup for the waffles 2 hours before breakfast was finished

The staff is really, really nice!! Easy to get to by public transit— you can call their shuttle to get you from the metro, but it only runs on weekends right now bc of the pandemic It’s about a mile walk in an easy flat area if you don’t have too much luggage or it’s a nice day Beds are super comfy and the showers are great

The toiletries provided are lightly scented and smell great! The rooms are kind of dark at night which I don’t really like, but they are otherwise great Nice and clean The light switches are all electronic buttons which might take you a few minutes to work out but once you get the hang of it it’s kinda nifty The pool and gym are solid and the conference amenities are very attractive as well I haven’t been to the spa myself but a friend got her nails done there and had a great experience The bar is wonderful, though the beer selection is pretty smallThey make a great bloody mary!

I loved my stay here! Beautiful hotel with an amazing view Conveniently located just steps from the University of Maryland The staff was nice, the room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable

If you are planning a trip to DC this is a great option just outside the district but is located near the metro line I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again

I have stayed at the University of Maryland Hotel several times over the past few yearsThe rates are good and the service is excellent The staff is very friendly

I wish that some of the rooms had bath tubs instead of just showers but that’s a minor issueThe two restaurants right next to the premises, a pizza place and a bagel place, are excellent and reasonably pricedObviously this location makes sense if you’re doing something at the University of Maryland However, it’s a very clean and professional outfit for anyone staying in the DC area in general

We stayed at TownePlace Suites for more than 15 weeks I would like to say that this was thus far the best hotel stay experience we have had The hotel is clean, has great amenities, and has free continental breakfast

But, the staff at this hotel makes the stay more enjoyable Mr Tilahun, the general manager, was very courteous, helpful, professional, and attentive to his guests need He made sure we enjoyed our stay One of the engineers, Andrew, was exceptionally welcoming and always said: “If you need anything, we are here for you” which meant a lot to us The housekeepers did a fantastic job keeping our room and hotel neat All of the staff we encountered displayed warm and welcoming smiles every time The front desk staff was professional and helpful Ms Sherry especially treated us like family We miss her warm and caring personality This hotel is under great leadership We have enjoyed our stay We highly recommend TownePlace Suites!

This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in this price range in the area I stayed at some of the cheaper locations and I would really suggest paying a few dollars more to stay here The staff were amazing and friendly

The room was clean and nice It also has a kitchen in it if you want to save a little money from eating out This is so close to the Greenbelt Metro station, it’s really convenient It has free onsite parking I would definitely recommend this place!

Hotel was nice and very convenient for my business trip but the management is a joke for sure I checked in Friday and per the manager the front desk did not turn in my room to get cleaned so i was initially checked into a dirty room Was told that they were booked and she’d she what she could do and thankfully found me another room but the new room smelt like cigarettes/weed and covered with perfume

But i took the room with fear of not being able to be accomadate and had to get up early for training the next morning So I was told to call management Monday (today), so i did and asked for either comp’d stay or half off and told me no because i didn’t check out after staying one night I had my training all weekend (every where else was full due to this) so i had no options but to stay He refused to help me Their mess up because my inconvenience at a price which is very unprofessional

The level of customer service for such a beautiful hotel was terrible to say the least My family and I drove 3 hours to help my sister who recently had a baby and was overwhelmed They paid for a room for us to stay in not far from their house

Upon arrival/registration process, I was told the room was not paid for and I would need to pay about $461 for the 2 nights After getting the paperwork I noticed a different card from mines showing and questioned it With an annoyed tone the rep said it was only to hold the room, which still needs to be paid for so sign here I completed the check in process as I was already exhausted and just ready to get some sleep My mom and children went up to the room while I looked for a parking spot After getting upstairs, I noticed the door would not lock at the bottom, but decided to ignore it and use the top latch I noticed my mom who is anemic,, sitting with her head wrapped up and shivering I asked what was wrong with the heat she said it wasn’t coming on but maybe she didn’t know what she was doing After trying it myself, I noticed the thermostat was not working at all, it was an old time wall thermostat with the switch on the bottom and temperature buttons to adjust No lights were displayed to indicate it was working so I called down to service desk to get it fixed or moved to another room By this time it’s a out 11:30 and had worked since 6am The woman answered the phone and after I explained what was going on replied, there are no utility workers on shift, the hotel is completely booked and the only option is to get some blankets to us I said fine reluctantly and waited for the blankets The security guard brought 2 blankets for us a few minutes later and said normally you just have to turn up the heat to warm it up He checked it out and said wow you’re right, nothing IS happening Maybe then can put you downstairs This time my mom called the front desk and was met with an unfriendly even more annoyed tone After another explanation of the heat situation, my mom asked to speak with a manager; she was told, “There is no manager, we are fully booked and I’m busy right now” My mother said there is no way I’m paying all this money to stay at a hotel with no heat, if you can’t help me then we’ll take our money elsewhere She then said you’re welcome to leave which we did After speaking to my sister, she was furious because the Crown Plaza had an affiliate hotel right across the street The agent could have tried just a tad bit more to act like she cared about her guests Customer Service is the face of a business and that experience could have been managed so differently If I could give 0 stars I would
