If you book here on VRBO do your homework! This view is what they describe as “beachfront”see my photos of the actual view, and pet friendly means no dogs on the beach We got most of our money back even though it was non-refundable, but had to pay a fee for the one night we stayed because we were too tired to go back home Found another place in the morning

Also steep not well lit stairs Wasn’t for us Manager is not local but was helpful considering the circumstances DO YOUR HOMEWORK for this place in Port Clinton Was very disappointing

This was a great hotel! Super clean and everyone was really friendly The breakfast was really great and the coffee was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel The pool was in great condition and super clean

We were very pleased with our stay Lots of restaurants, just down the street to, so a nice location to stop after being on the road a while

L Fev

Clean & friendly They have coffee in the lobby even at 6pm – love this!!!! The floor was kind of bouncy – like they put linoleum over carpet?!? The shower floor squeaked loudly whenever you moved even slightly – I imagine the people below us found it aggravating The stairwells were carpeted, painted and clean – if you prefer steps over the elevator

The breakfast had hot or cold items The location… your kind of in the middle of nowhere Really the only thing close was another chain (HI)hotel No food close We ate leftovers from lunch and crackers

Michael Dihel

Very expensive for service received The rooms had sticker wood floors in the entry and bathroom Dirty carpets in bedroom

Pool opened at 9 but was still dirty from night before and no towels at 10 Room notes said to call for new bathroom towels but on day 2 at 7pm when asking front desk for new towels was told “the kids at the pool took over 50 towels so we have none left” This is an 82 room hotel with a pool and no capacity to wash more than 50 towels? Also cost was $180 a night Hilton needs to check who they allow to manage their franchisees cause this was very sub par

We got there in the middle of a terrible storm with 70 mph winds, torrential rains and no power After the night manager realized the power wasn’t coming back on, he pushed through and got all of the clients waiting their rooms in a speedy fashion The power came back on to the hotel during the night but our room continued to have no power

When we told the front desk in the morning, theu gave us a whole new room with no extra charge so we could at least get showers and charge phones, etc It was super nice of them and they were so helpful!

Too dirty Didn’t stayWas told this hotel was 5-10 minutes off I-80

25 minutes later, we asked to see the room before committingElevator looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a few daysRoom smelled, was dirty & there was liquid running out the old mini fridgeWe leftEven if we weren’t angry about being lied too about the length of time to get there, no way would we stay in a gross roomIt looks as the owners do not care

I’ve stayed at holiday inns all over the world, and I’m a rewards member I like holiday inn in general because it’s quite consistent, and you know what to expect However, I was disappointed by my stay here

Do not recommend in terms of customer servicePros: great breakfast– plenty of warm food Lots of variety and kitchen staff was so lovely Location is good for a cheaper place to stay near the beach and only a 20 min drive to Port Clinton and the ferries to the islandsCons: I found dead insects in my room There were cobwebs and spiders near the AC unit It was 100 degrees outside and the AC wouldn’t go below 74– it was pretty warm in the room There were oil stains on my sheets, which was kind of gross There was also noticeable dust in the corners and on the walls The AC unit was disgusting with dust, spiderwebs, insects– just grossThe daytime staff was very rude I had requested a late checkout, which is free for reward members I put a do not disturb sign on the door and, regardless, kept getting disturbed by hotel staff knocking on my door to check if I’m checking out I had specifically stated that I was checking out at 2 pm, and I felt rushed and like I was a nuisance to staff I was also told I would have to pay a late checkout fee which is false– IHG rewards members do not pay fees for early check-in or late check-out The woman was rude, and I was surprised at how I was spoken to and treated upon check- out– condescending, short, and ill-tempered That is not the way to treat someone who paid $200 to stay one night in your dusty hotelPlease take a note from your kitchen staff who treated everyone so pleasantly and with smiles– as that is exemplary customer service

Wildcards Rex

Pretty nice room It was a last minute stay, booked by my company No issues with booking at all

Breakfast was OK for being free There weren’t a terrible amount of guests staying, so that is perhaps why the best breakfast foods weren’t put out The girl at the front desk helped with best places to get food around, since I wasn’t from the area They don’t allow firearms, per their policy, for some reason, and I carry a weapon for my job

Haile Haile

This is definitely an older hotel The rooms could use a little extra TLC from the housekeeping staff For example

fingerprints on the back of doors and door handles, on hairdryer Calcium deposit on the shower head and clean the caulking in the showerThe sheets were extremely clean and the bed was comfortable When you are passing through you can make do for the eveningThe Front Desk agent Adrienne(?) is definitely an asset Her customer service was amazing at checkin

Typically, we stay in resort style condos when we travel but during an impromptu trip along the Lake Erie shore, we decided to stop inUpon first glance, most would drive right past this little motel; however on a whim, we decided to stop in to check it outAfter entering the lobby, we noticed quite a bit of memorabilia of music artists that have stayed (Frankie Vallie & Glen Campbell just to name a couple) the night over the years, as well as noticed a US Marine Corps plaque that highlighted Our Guest Inn & Suites, for their various program efforts

The motel was very clean and inviting, so we booked a roomWe stayed in the main building (There is a stand alone 2 story building adjacent to the main buildingParking was very secure and well litUpon entry, we got a sense of nostalgia as we walked down the pink wall papered hallway It may sound horrible but it truly was a pleasant and nostalgic experience and mind you, it was very clean and maintainedThe doors have the typical key cord entry for security, as well as traditional hotel locksThe rooms were very nice, clean, well maintained and housekeeping made sure everything was stockedThe particular room we stayed in was a little dated and oddly configured but it was definitely comfortable and welcomingThe pillows on the bed were a little flat and they need to replace the straight shower bar with a curved for a little extra room, but the bed was comfortable, the rooms were very quiet and there was very little, if any noise that could be heard from neighboring rooms or hallway (Which was great, because I am a very light sleeper)After morning check-out, the wife and I actually enjoyed our stay so much that we have actually discussed going back to stay again in the near futureIt was just a great little getaway and highly recommended

As a travel professional, I am always looking for those hidden gem places to book my clients I stayed at Our Guest Inn & Suites on a recent trip to the area and had a great experience The room was well equipped and very clean

The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and provided local food recommendations upon request at check in Will book clients here and will stay again

Alyssa

The room was very small and had a musty/urine smell as soon as we walked in The carpets were the worst part It turned white socks completely black on the bottom

There were holes in the comforters, stains on the chairs, and random small holes in the walls Rooms were very outdated The only positive was that the bathroom was pretty clean and there was a fridge/microwave in the room Not a pleasant experience overall and we will not be returning

We’ve stayed here many times and it’s always been pleasant The hotel is centrally located in town which is nice Just would be nice to be able to get hot brewed coffee downstairs rather than relying on having it in your room

The hotel doesn’t need to bring back breakfast, because of covid, but at least have hot and ready coffee for the guest

Mark DeNuzzio

My wife and I stayed overnight with 2 toddlers We had a double queen room Girls had enough room to run around with it being too tight

AC was perfect, walk in closet was a plus, beds were much more comfortable than you’d expect at an independent hotel We really enjoyed the historical aspect of the place Location was about 4 blocks from the park with a nice, quiet beach Walking distance to many shops and eateries The only drawback was the shower While clean, the water temp was lukewarm at best And I’m not talking at 9 AM when everyone is showering I’m talking 9 PM I found it refreshing My wife, who generally prefers to shower in molten lava, was less enthusiastic

Maddalynn Goodman

Amazing staff, we booked a room for one night due to an emergency and they got us a room so fast A special thanks to Phillip, sorry if I spelled that wrong, for helping us out so much One of the best people you will ever meet

Thank you so much for hospitality, we really appreciated it! Much love to the entire staff, a fantastic place to stay, and a very comfortable bed

I really hope someone is checking google to make a decision on where to stay, and this review helps them The hotel is a complete dump The lobby is nice, but the rooms are repulsive

I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy to stay there There was a massive blood stain on my mattress The carpet is a bunch of individual carpet tiles put together, and they shift around and move to reveal the concrete floor covered in dust underneath The shower is a trickle Felt like a few fingers tapping my head And sleeping on a dirty brick would have been more comfortable than the bed We stayed here because we were part of a wedding group that had a discount rate here but I do not recommend at all 179 a night is beyond absurd We looked for other options nearby but they were sold out, as it was last minute Don’t waste your money and stay here!

ANGRY – MY 89 YEAR OLD MOTHER FORGOT HER MEDICATION IN THE ROOM and she didn’t realize it until we were home The MANAGER WANTS TO CHARGE $20, PLUS POSTAGE, TO MAIL HER THE MEDICATION!! That is TAKING ADVANTAGE OF AN ELDERLY LADY on a LIMITED INCOME!!BEDS & PARKING – We stayed here while attending a family reunion as did other family members We paid $229 for a very basic room

BEDS are SMALL and very UNCOMFORTABLE PARKING IS VERY LIMITED on the weekend since they open their restaurant and bar to others NO PARKING PRIORITY FOR HOTEL CLIENTS SPENDING THE NIGHT! WE HAD TO PARK AT THE MARINA NEXT DOOR!! It was difficult to turn left out of either parking lot since this is located in a very busy areaDOC’S BOAT HOUSE – Restaurant across the street is owned by the same person It has a nice deck but was significantly overpriced My mother was overcharged and we didn’t catch it until later Our families spent a fair amount combined at both facilities Fish sandwich, fries and drink was $30 prior to tipNO CURTAINS – There are no curtains on the windows So, rooms facing the sun are hot and it is difficult for the rooms to cool When the sun rises, there is no way to darken the room since just blinds cover the windowPOOL -The small pool is open to others not staying at the hotel for a fee Lots of loud drunk people visit the bars onsitePOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE – i would not have written this review if the Manager had shown one ounce of consideration for my mother This is incredibly poor customer service The hotel and restaurant were both overpriced – they earned enough money from us to cover THEIR $20 HANDLING FEE to return my mother’s medicationI WILL ADVISE EVERYONE I KNOW TO FIND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS AND RESTAURANTS ! PLEASE READ OTHER LOW REVIEWS!

Nice clean hotel with spacious rooms Staff were extremely friendly! Nice breakfast buffet self service options Pool is a bit small, so only kids enjoyed

Our overnight stay was pleasant and quiet on Father’s Day Looks like they are building a nice pavilion area outside Enjoyed the status upgrade to a lake view roomNot really much to do in Port Clinton, this was really just a base to visit PIB LOADS of May flies, but that can’t really be avoided this time of yr near the lake!

Booked last minute online on their website When I got there they said the room I booked which was a king was double booked and not available They did give me their last double queen room instead which was fine

Other than that it was a great hotel Very clean and front desk friendly Beautiful view of Lake Erie behind the hotel They also serve breakfast and had the typical food items I would recommend this hotel

Paul Naskky

First the pluses Very new hotel, with large clean rooms and we had a stunning view of the lake Appreciated the outdoor common areas also

The fitness area looked great and the free breakfast every day was a plus (though a little variety beyond scrambled eggs and sausage everyday would have been welcome) The negatives were an EXTREMELY tiny indoor pool which was bone chilling cold If you were going to put a new hotel right on the Lake, why in the heck would you not put in an OUTDOOR, heated pool also? Housekeeping? Almost non-existent Other than emptying the trash, the staff DOD NOT MAKE THE BEDS ONCE in our three night stay, nor bother to pick up or replace towels Honestly, if this had a nice sized, HEATED pool (indoors or out) and housekeeping that actually did some housekeeping beyond emptying one small trash can-this place would easily get a 5/5 from me As it is, we will look elsewhere to stary in Port Clinton A pity, as the location is terrific-and quite close to area attractions

We just wanted a bed to sleep in for a few hours The smell in the hallway was the first indication something was off Dirt around the outlets, dripping bathtub, loud people for hours in the hallway

The loud, vibrating air conditioner keep me awake There were also two small device lights that blinked all night I considered actually sleeping in my car but didn’t feel safe walking out to my car because of the loud people in the hallway Do not recommend Didn’t stick around for breakfast

R B

This place is what you would expect for a 20-25 star hotel

Yes, as the previous reviewer said, the hallways smell like a freshly cleaned porta potty And yes, there are cobwebs all around the ceiling in our room But the room itself is clean enough The front desk guy is very friendly This hotel is in bad of updating But don’t complain when the price goes up on the rooms You get what you pay for The location is right off the interstate This hotel serves its purpose We are passing thru Hotel should be around $80 – 90 ish a night tho for what your getting

Joscelyn Baker

NO! Save your money and just don’t Nothing about any of these pictures resemble what this place actually looks like Hot breakfast? Please bagels in a toaster and jimmy dean sandwich in a microwave is opposite of what the free hot breakfast shown in photo

My room- actual cob webs going down the wall from the corners of the room Dirt was just swept under the bathroom vanity Toilet paPer- maybe 12inches will work for some
