Not really a 4-star hotel More like a 3-star hotel with a pretty lobby/bar area Parking should have been covered or valeted for $14/day, but is just a self-park lot around the building

Firm mattress and weak air conditioning In-room TV was large but didn’t work very well The TV guide didn’t function and all the channels were labeled incorrectly It also had a hard time turning off Some noise from the DART train Toilet paper was thinner than my dreams of being a pro athlete Elevators are pretty run down too Good deal for the $60 per night special rate we found, but mediocre for the $74 w/parking + tax and fees Good location for our trip that had drives to Plano, Dallas and Addison, but probably wouldn’t book again Most staff and guests didn’t wear masks

After being on the road for 7 hours straight, found out my children which are in Mexico were not able to board their flight With that said I had to spend the weekend in Dallas, TX I was tired and was scared to not find a clean and reasonable hotel

I stopped at one of the Hilton locations and called the reservation line from out in the parking lot The young man that answered the phone was so helpful, kind, and pleasant to speak to He demonstrated empathy towards my situation He was able to work with my budget and helped me with a reservation at the Hilton Richardson location were I was able to get a room for the weekend at the budget I had in mindIf I could rate my stay at the Hilton Richardson location any higher I would definitely do so I knew from the moment I walked in my money was well spent When entering their facility you can definitely see it is clean, pleasant and their employees are just amazingThis facility had a computer available for me to be able to work on my college classes, and the lady upfront was able to assist me in extending my check out at 1pm (instead of 11AM) with no additional fee since my kids will be flying into Dallas Airport late evening She also informed me that I am able to stay in the lobby for however long I need to after I check out Which is really helpful since I would have to find where to kill time since the weather does not permit to be in my vehicle for long period of timesMy experience has been overall satisfactory, and know for sure moving forward, Hilton will be my place to stay at

Stephanie Teague

Staff was nice but overall this hotel is poorly run Rooms weren’t ready at 3:00 check-in because they were still being cleaned Many of the rooms wreaked of cigarette smoke, AC inside the rooms was broken all weekend and elevator wait times were way too long

The AC worked in common areas of the hotel and aside from cigarette smell in many of the rooms the rest of the hotel appeared well maintained and fairly clean While I won’t be returning to this hotel, most of these issues can be easily fixed so hopefully hotel management will step up to ensure future guests have a much better experience than we did

Hotel is fine if it’s your last resort to stay somewhere Staff and polices are pretty horrific As a diamond member I get breakfast for free each morning at Hilton Garden Inn’s but not at this hotel for whatever reason

I ask the front desk for my breakfast vouchers and they told me they just don’t do that at this hotel for diamond members but I could use $20 towards breakfast or the pantry since I was staying 2 nights Would have been nice to know that before booking…I then spent $24 at the pantry on Saturday night I go to checkout Sunday morning and my bill is $14 for food I told them it should be $4 as I spent my $20 towards the pantry They then tell me I have to use $10 on night 1 and $10 on night 2 as it can’t be combined for the stay Would have been nice to know that before I checked out! I told the front desk I stayed at a Waldorf and when I had food and beverage credit they allowed me to use it all on one day, so how was I suppose to know it couldn’t all be used at once Their response was “this is just our policy” They should probably communicate that at any point The staff poorly communicated everything during my stay Definitely wouldn’t have booked this hotel if I knew this Many things in life aren’t certain, but I can assure you I certainly won’t be returning to this property

Courtney Kalb

I had a room that was not as clean as I would have liked staying at a Hilton hotel – and thankfully I left a review and the staff fixed my room while I was gone for the day They also left some snacks for me and a note letting me know I could contact the manager if I needed anything else I appreciate the customer service and the staff working to make my stay better

I will definitely be back again and appreciate the hospitality and care

Clayton Cummings

This was our 3rd stay here, and possibly our last Nice, clean rooms But they no longer replace towels, linen or toiletries unless you put in a request

There is no discount for this either The whole place smelled like sewage and we were never given an explanation for it 4 days, same stench Elevators sounded like they were falling apart Last day there, 1 of them was out of orderStaff were friendly, but not like most places Check-in involved asking for my ID, inserting my card for incidentals, and her handing me my room keys while saying “elevators are over here” Check out was “Checking out? Thank you”That was all we got this time Actually a bit disappointed in the hospitality Could have saved a good bit of money for that, or stayed in a more welcoming hotel, like The Staybridge

Karmyn Ward

This was a very nice Holiday Inn The beds were just a tiny but uncomfortable at first, but that’s just because it was not quite a plush as mine is at home Everything else was great

It was very clean, very nice bedroom and bathroom, great TV, very friendly staff, and was in a nice location The room was a very nice size too There was also a nice view out of the window, since it was not right next to another building either

Keicha Clayton

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and that was a long 2 nights The air was broken the first night I did let the front desk know we waited hours and hours until we went down to the front desk to see what was taking so long only too find out it was a shift change and the previous clerk never mentioned it to person taking over or contacted maintenance

The bed was super hard and very uncomfortable We tossed and turned the whole night So I definitely will not stay here again Waste of $200

Charles Manning

The room i had was a fairly large and it was clean The bathroom was spacious and the shower gets hotDownside to the room, it was on tge freeway side so it was noisy until about midnight when traffic finally lessend for the night

The bed, i think the floor would have been softer than the bed Tge hallway always has a funky food smell to itThe staff was nice and always courtious If the bed was not so bad the place would get a higher rating

I stayed here recently in conjunction with a training class that I was conducting It was my first stay and this hotel and the first in a long time at any HIE It’s a nice hotel; modern and comfortable

The hot breakfast (it was actually hot) was the best I’ve had at any comparable hotel in a long time No frozen pastries! The room decor is not what you would expect in a hotel Colorful but not too bright and plenty of lighting Bathroom lighting still leaves something to be desired That’s no big deal for me but could be a problem for anyone trying to do their hair and makeupOverall, the staff and facilities were excellent and I’d have no qualms about staying here again

Karl Boss

Had a great stayLove the food options with in walking distanceEasy on and off the freewayStaff was very fun and friendlyAs a former maintenance director in building engineer, I do nitpick everything about a building

I feel that they should spend a little bit more time and effort in a few more dollars to pick some of the repairs in the rooms in common areasThere are a series of things that could be done that cost a few dollars but in the long term saves money and has a happier customer returnPool was clean which is kind of rare these daysThe breakfast options aren’t that bad You get some pancakes, biscuits and gravy sausage and things of that natureTo be honest with the location that it’s at, you’re a few minutes from downtown close to Rockwall with all some great shops and things to do You’re right there at the lake with great ample parking By the way, The dollar you spend is worth spending it there You’re going to get your money’s worth out of your stayWe will stay there again

Mari Paez

Had to cut my stay short Originally it was three nights, I stayed one only The drain in the bathroom was broken, I had to manually lift it up for the water to drain

The night time employee at the front desk couldn’t leave his post so it had to be resolved the next day The A/C was at 81 degrees all night long Some elevator buttons were broken The mini fridge had an ice cream from the last guest and wasn’t cooling properly To wrap up, the hotel is way too overpriced for what it is The next day, the daytime front desk employee was very courteous and gave me a discount for the troubles The maintenance employee was very nice and helpful as well

Rooms are nice and clean and have a mini fridge There’s a few restaurants within walking distance Definitely one of our favorite chains to stay at

Dee Hughes

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel It is conveniently located near many amenities The rooms are slightly small but I still enjoyed it

The like that the hotel didn’t have carpet in the rooms The breakfast was also enjoyable My one and only minor issue is that there isn’t a microwave in the rooms There is one downstairs but there isn’t any in the rooms My suggestion is to place microwaves in the rooms

I stayed here for a month and the room was comfortable but I did find roaches Although they clean the rooms once a week, it was when they got cleaned where I’d find roaches in my room Also felt that the kitchen wasn’t stocked properly, but this was never resolved when I called

I checked out last week and got charged the $75 deposit even though I didn’t do anything to be charged the deposit The deposit I feel is an issue with any hotel at times so I am still trying to resolve thisUpdate: never gave me back my deposit and never got a reason or response for it

Emaline Lynn

I would absolutely give this zero stars if I could Toilet constantly running and eventually overflowing onto the bathroom floor Musty smell from floor to ceiling, sticky floors and grimy surfaces throughout

I booked the hotel for two nights and couldn’t even bare staying through my reservation There is an infestation bed bugs and/or fleas Misleading reviews on a third party website are the reason took a chance on this place I’d have to say the largest problem is the staff The lady working the front desk was not only of the coldest woman in hospitality I’ve ever seen, automatically going into autopilot instisting we were lying about any and every problem She even explained to us after coming into our room with a camera that she was trained to find them and left the original paperwork I signed when I first arrived and walked out of room like she had done this her entire career SLEEP IN A WALMART PARKING LOT, A HOMELESS SHELTERNOTHING IS WORSE THAN paying a company to infest your own house with bed bugs, feel so dirty you cant get clean, and being treated like a liar or/and some entitled guest that is looking for an easy way to get a free stay I’m going to sleep in my car now and then call the general manager in the morning At this point it looks like the hotel has got ripping people of down to a science and is used to keeping themselves out of legal troubleDisgraceful to Dallas!!!!

Kitambra Jeffries

It was a pleasure arriving to a friendly staff and clean room after traveling across three states in a couple of days I made the reservation via priceline and didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised I would definitely recommend to colleagues and will be staying here when in town

The construction is the only down side but it shall soon be completed

I stayed at a suite for about a week recently FIrst off, it’s nice, clean new hotel however, wall between rooms and ceiling are definitely not insulated and thick enough as the noise constaly woke me up at late night Don’t even think about staying there over the weekend

I was in between two loud rooms and I was able to hear there conversation pretty clearly It was really horrible Also, I found the front desk staff were quite unprofessional and rude My wife was asking the laundry detergent but the lady staff was not trying to help at all In fact only thing we liked this hotel about was that there are a number of decent restaurants in a walking distance I recommend Thai, Italian and seafood place They were superb! This hotel has a lot to improve I also stayed at the Holiday Inn cross the street and it was far better than this hotel, even much cheaper indeed This is probably why it only has 42 ratings despite of decent amenities Restaurants nearby are the only reason that I give 2 stars frankly

Reserved 2 suites for myself and my sister Memorial Day weekend We stayed from Saturday through Monday While my suite was nice, clean and cozy, my sister’s was the complete opposite

Her suite was not cleaned thoroughly There was trash all over the floor, under the bed, the floor was disgustingly sticky as though it may have been mopped with dirty water, bathroom was dingy, and the room had ants After checking in Saturday, we requested housekeeping three times for the room to be cleaned, and for someone to spray for the ants The ant problem was resolved, but not the floors and the bathroom After some hours and going to the front desk to complain about the dirty suite, housekeeping left for the day So I requested for housekeeping to clean the suite first thing Sunday morning My sister ended up sleeping with me for the night, as she refused to sleep in her room and I would not allow her to sleep there either They put in the request We went out for breakfast Sunday morning and was gone from 8am until noon We went back to my sister’s suite only to discover that housekeeping made her bed and straightened up things on the desks and tables, but the floors and bathroom were STILL dirty It wasn’t even touched Why do everything else EXCEPT the very things we were complaining about?? So I went back downstairs to talk to management and requested a full refund for that room and checked out of it And it was given to me with no issues so I appreciate the manager for rectifying the situation so nicely My sister ended up staying with me the entire weekend, which was fine because we still had a good time spending time together I didn’t pay over $337 for a dirty room Absolutely ridiculous!! We won’t be back to this hotel Overall the establishment is nice, but the lack of effort in getting my sister’s room cleaned is what messed up the experience for us They need a better cleaning staff We were trying to be understanding because we know we’re not the only guests who need something, but this should have been done before we even arrived so the understanding went out the window Hopefully they will make improvements in the future

So there was some sort of high school thing going on here where this hotel was hosting what I’m assuming is a sports team or something along those lines These were the loudest nastiest children I’ve ever seen or heard and they were all posted up in the hotel lobby Why on earth the staff or the chaperones were not controlling these children is beyond me but it was not a good look

Room was nice Shower is odd as it has a half door and you can’t close the enclosure so all your hot air/steam dissipates into the room The bed is centered in the room with the desk behind it, a bit unsettlingComfortable bed, nice tv

Used Resort Pass to book a cabana for a Monday Worth it! We got to the hotel at 10:30am and did their self park Super easy

The lobby of the hotel is so pretty Checked in at the desk and went out to the pool to claim our cabana! Bar opened at 11am so we got settled in and waited Our cabana waiter brought our chef’s welcome plate (fruit, good fruit) and mini waters Had to wait for the frozen machine to freeze (it was 110 that day, so yeah, we get it!) but had mixed cocktails to get us through Enjoyed the pool, the cool breezes off the lake, and the shade in our cabana Things to be aware of: prices are high (it’s a hotel, that’s how it works), lots of kids (summer time, that’s how it works), not super attentive staff (it’s 2022, that’s how it works) But overall it was a great time! We will be back for sure!!

Had a great stay over the weekend My only complaint is I wish they had complimentary breakfast the price to buy something frozen like a lean cuisine is very high

Almost forcing you to pay for the also extremely high rate for a basic continental breakfast or buy something of barelyhigher but of basic same value from their bistro which is at least prepared freshly This is a major flaw in the services offered by this hotel in my opinion

Update: We went to stay again and we’re told that cats are no longer welcome Interesting, considering I heard dogs barking all the time, but they’re still allowed It can’t be about smell, the hallways are always filled with the smell of curry and other heavily spiced foods being cooked

It should be noted that this is apparently a hotel the government uses to house people waiting for their immigration paperwork to be done, as has been talked about in the news For some reason, there was a giant pile of clothes sitting near the pool hundreds of articles of clothing A charity drop-off?A nice place to go if you have children or pets The furniture was very comfortable and the room was spacious There’s a number of families using it as extended stay, so there’s lots of kids playing and riding their bicycles To me, that feels more like home than a lot of hotels, but I know it wouldn’t be for everyone They have nice amenities my only complaint is that no one was wearing a mask even though there were signs everywhere If you’re a smoker, there’s plenty of places to smoke outside without going far We will definitely stay there again it just felt more like home than many of the extended stay hotels around there

DJ helped us get 12 rooms for a baseball travel team He was great He was very courteous and dealt with 12 families and kids

I would recommend this place to anyone The pool is great The rooms are waaay better than any hotel The location is close to so much food Everything about our 5 day stay has been great DJ really was the icing in the cake He was so accommodating and dealt with all of our families with respect

Average Joe

We stayed in building A The room was nice, but the overwhelming cooking odors in the hallways and stairwells ruined the experience There were a bunch of kids running between open doors from rooms on the first floor

(This may be where the cooking odors emanated) We were also made to feel unwelcome by small groups of men and children hanging out on the patio and parking lot beside the pool and sports court so guests couldn’t use the amenities

Hyatt Park in Rockwall, Texas – 1600 La Jolla Dr, Rockwall, TX 75087 – This is a super hotel I stayed there two nights and loved the bright lighting throughout the room and particularly in the bathroom where there was a make-up mirror with under lighting

The bathroom was supplied with large towels and had instant hot water in the shower which had a safety rail and an easy-to-operate-one-handle faucet The room had a full-length mirror, comfortable chair, L-shaped couch, good refrigerator, big-screen TV, and a nice closet with lots of hangers, a safe, an iron, and extra bedding The bed was comfortable with numerous huge/soft pillows and a beautiful white comforter; and the double-curtains made it possible to keep out the sunlight when needed The heat and air conditioning were easily adjustable and worked efficientlyThe entrance, lobby, lounging areas, TV’s, cafeteria tables/chairs, and food choices were more than adequate with a market to purchase salads, sandwiches, candies, and drinks 24/7 I enjoyed two full breakfasts while there – eggs, ham, bacon, potatoes, cereals, fruits, juices, waffles, bagels, and a choice of delicious varieties of coffeeThe amenities included good parking, luggage carts, workout room, swimming pool, conference rooms, and washer/dryer/microwaves on various floorsMost importantly, each and every staff member was exceptionally friendly and helpful They went out of their way to help me when I accidentally misplaced my iPhone Nothing makes travelers feel any better than to know that they are surrounded with staffers who care about them as individuals I am grateful to be able to recommend Hyatt Place Rockwall, Texas to any and all

This is a great place to stay, and is not too much to pay either The rooms are a little bigger, beds are very comfy, nice showers, nice bathroom, TVs are really nice, and the service is great Every worker here is very friendly, and will help you right away

It’s in a very nice, pretty quiet, private location too It’s not right by the interstate, or right next to another building

The hotel is nice, breakfast is pretty much the same thing of eggs and sausage almost every morning But it is included The lobby is nice and spacious, with plenty of people willing to assist you

The location is great, but the rooms do not have any cooking place in them It’s the only extended stay I have seen where there is no place to cook They have 1 microwave for the entire hotel in the only laundromat as well The fridge is super small and is just a fridge no freezer The service is great, but the rooms lack of food preparation don’t make it quite as niceEditThey say one is the loneliest number, but this place has also taught me it is the worst as well One washer, one dryer, one microwave, one elevator for ONE ENTIRE hotel As my buddy I lived here with quite often says What a joke If you plan on staying here longer than a day probably find somewhere else to stay The staff are very nice though

My stay was amazing!! First of all every staff member was so friendly and helpful The hotel in general is very nice and clean The free breakfast and dinner plus 3 adult beverages was the best! Also we had access to fountain drinks 24 hours in the lobby

The hotel bar and kitchen was very nice and drinks and food anywhere we went in the hotel was so good! My room was so big and so nice much bigger than a typical 2 queen bedroom in a hotel Pool area was very nice and actually had plenty of towels to use unlike most hotels I highly recommend this hotel Very family friendly!!! I will always be looking to stay at this hotel chain from this point on I absolutely cannot say enough great things about this hotel!

Fantastic hotel in Dallas! I stayed here for work and it was perfect Service was great, people are very nice and accommodating, room was large with good amenities, and the whole place was pretty clean They serve breakfast and also unlimited soft drinks and coffee/teas all day

I went down to get a hot tea every night Did eat at the Kitchen twice during my stay and enjoyed it Had the Bavarian pretzels, a turkey club, and even the berry dessert All were tasty! And the parking garage is free! Would definitely stay here again and look forward to when I can!

Rooms were extremely spacious and clean The bed was stupidly soft and comfortable We got the junior suite and it comfortably slept two adults and two kids

The window in the living room was one entire wall top to bottom The same in the bedroom The bar tenders were so sweet and very friendly at the bar downstairs Staff was nice as well the the indoor pool, which was a very nice size as well as the hot tub

Vanessa Stringer

Loved every minute of our stay Great staff, especially at the bar 😆 Everyone was so friendly and accommodating We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was clean and quiet

Pet friendly (although we didn’t take ours), close to shopping/entertainment/restaurants Indoor pool amd jacuzzi were clean and perfect since it started raining! We’ll definitely be staying here again A+++

Very nice hotel The lobby is clean, and the front desk staff are very polite My kids love the pool here

The hot tub is nice for relaxing Another plus is the work out room! State of the art machines and very clean Starbucks in the lobby was VERY convenient! We had a very nice stay here, but the only downside is that due to covid they are severely understaffed, and you can no longer get your room cleaned or re-freshed daily When you pay $200 a night for a room, you kind of think having fresh towels and your bed made come with the package No, it does not I travel with kids, and we go through towels and need our trash taken out daily The trash was piled up down by the elevator in the morning It is a very clean hotel otherwise, and the staff is friendly, so I give a 3 star

Walls seem a bit thin Heard a lot of people coming and going between 10pm-1am in the hallway Also, could hear the television and conversations right next door loudly at 8am

Window coolers have a thermostat and go on and off all night during this heatwave Kind of funny as these were popular coolers in the 1960s Nice room and bathroom with microwave and a refrigerator and coffee maker Breakfast was adequate with a waffle maker, cereals, juices bread and coffee Although, help needs to do a much better job of watching food supplies Both days we ran out of coffee and had to ask multiple times for replacement coffee Wait, wait, wait Ran out of coffee, waffle batter, yogurt, milk and cereal bowls the first morning by 8:00am Two of those were never replenished an entire hour later when the kitchen closed Several of the visitors were unhappy about the lack of any attention to our needs at breakfast Overall, an okay property The noise from dogs barking in the hallways (pet friendly) was also a mild irritation Best assets were proximity to the nearby lake and nice rooms, beds and shower

Shawn Pickett

Room was clean and bathroom was very clean and nice At first I thought there was no closet but it was behind a giant full length mirror Our particular room was supposed to have 2 queen beds but only had one plus a fold out couch bed

Another small annoyance was there was no regular coffee packs in our room or coffee cups There was only decaf and regular thin plastic cups in the bathroom

Dianna Story

The place is dirty for starters Open pet policy means they don’t have any pet free rooms The toilet was broken in the ground and the smell of urine came strongly through the floor constantly

Surfaces were dirty The breakfast consisted of bread you had to toast yourself on a convection oven that was never plugged in, during a 3 night stay Eggs bland and overcooked Sausage links Waffles you have to make yourself and they were out of batter every time I went That’s it No other meat no gluten free options, cereal but only room temp water No cups other than small water cups It was so dirty Couldn’t eat there due to how dirty it was Disorganized and sloppy Multiple people complaining Terrible smelling carpets and unit was overwhelming My husband has an asthma attack, my son and i had allergic reactions to the heavy dog dander in the room It was so unpleasant They did nothing to rectify the situation They charged me for an extra 2 nights and didn’t return that money until 3 days post returning to my home state Then after I complained I reviewed email stating I was being refunded and that housekeeping came by and offered a new room And that we declined That infuriates me because it never happened This place was awful I would not stay here again if my life depended on it I stay in Texas sometimes 10 times a year and it’s my home state I received no refund as of yet, and I don’t expect I will I feel totally sad that this place looks and sounds great, especially the free breakfast but it turns out to be terrible Oh also the trash bin on the 3rd floor by the elevator was piled high with trash all three days No housekeeping was done on that floor And the elevator smelled of urine Just all around don’t go here
