The owners are really nice and helpful The hotel is not exactly on the best part of town, but everything was fine and safe during our stay The room had nice personal touches, but there was one thing that grossed us out pretty bad — The bed sheets weren’t changed before we checked in

There was a TON of hair all over our bed sheets We made sure to strip the bed the following morning to make sure the sheets were changed after our stay

Justa Mman

Had a great time here! The rooms were clean, the bedding was clean, they came through and cleaned the room during our stay, the staff was niceThere was a fridge, microwave, and TV in the roomThe A/C took forever to cool off the room if it got hot in there, the pool is covered, and we did not experience a breakfast service

Overall, I’d stay here again

Drew Willsey

I’ve never left a hotel review before, good or bad, in my life But I felt compelled for some reason here This is the nicest, most well maintained roadside old-school motel I’ve ever stayed at

It’s owned and operated by what sounded like a Ukrainian or Eastern European couple, and they couldn’t be nicerI’ve stayed at Hampton Inns and Doubletrees that were not as nice or as clean as these rooms No exaggerationDon’t let the location or fact that it’s an independent motel fool you You can sleep comfortably at this motel

Edit: Me and the wife went back to visit, still loved it and still love the area! Go support this awesome bed and breakfastBeautiful and quaint little bed and breakfast! Julie and her husband are really good people with great recommendations for the area Morning breakfast was fantastic!!

Stacey Thompson

Outstanding! Julie and Bob are the dynamic duo! Great hosts and knowledgeable and helpful with regard to area activities and attractions The morning spread was second to none and was a delicious farm-to-table experience Julie’s preserves and salsas are incredible, and she and Bob are very talented chefs

We always went from the table more than full! Their chickens provide great entertainment as well as breakfast, their patio and fire pit area are wonderful for the nights and mornings to relax The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and clean and the house is in the perfect location for wherever the day may take you The downtown area, the river, wineries, sour houses, alpaca farm, bike trails are all within a 5-10 minute drive, and it is situated right next to an orchardWe highly recommend the Dreamcatcher to anyone looking to explore Palisade and the surrounding area Bring Bob a Diet Mountain Dew 😉

Monica Cesario

We stayed here last Valentine’s just as things were starting to reopen, and Julie was a wonderful hostess! I follow a Paleo diet (gluten/grain- and dairy-free), and she was so kind to make me special baked treats EVERY morning! They were so delicious that I even asked for more than one of her recipes, which she generously shared with usWe stayed in the “Honeymoon Suite” with a huge, comfortable bed and access to the private tower, which was really fun There’s not a ton of sound privacy in the suite, as the room shares adjoining doors with the kitchen and the owners’ living space, but they must be aware of the issue, as they were kind enough to turn the TV off and retire early (9pm-ish) to another room down the hall

We only had trouble with getting enough hot water for the tub on the last night of our stay, which was a huge bummer, but it was fine on our first night I’m really sensitive to scents/fragrances, and the room did smell strongly of air freshener and fabric softener Next time, I would definitely ask for unscented; it didn’t even occur to me to ask about it beforehand because going green is such a strong trend in the hospitality industry that it’s almost never an issue for me anymoreOverall, we had a great time in Palisade (it was so warm compared to Boulder!), and we even came home with more than we bargained for, namely a wee stowaway born just a few weeks ago! 💗

We stayed for one night as we were passing through Grand Junction on our way from Salt Lake City to Denver The room was huge, clean, and very comfortable The jacuzzi tub and fireplace were perfect after a long week of skiing and snowboarding!Brenda was an amazing host and able to handle a same-day reservation for us

We got in fairly late at 9pm and she was so welcoming even at the late hour Breakfast the next morning was amazing – best quiche I’ve ever had – and plenty of hot coffee to get us ready for the day! Will definitely be staying here again if we’re ever back in Grand Junction!

Larry Jensen

What a wonderful find! My wife and I had a relaxing and tasty stay here at Castle Creek Manor Our room was comfortable with loads of space And the breakfast each morning was YUMMO! Brenda is the consummate hostess making our stay perfect with great accommodations and an awesome binder loaded with information about the local area

Plus she offered some great suggestions for coffee, dining and sightseeing, which we did and we were not disappointed We highly recommend Castle Creek Manor—you will enjoy your stay

Okay, Just so you know, I compare apples to apples, so don’t think this hotel is on par with, say, The Four Seasons; however, compared to other places in its class, it’s greatOur room opened onto a lovely central courtyard that featured tables and chairs and shade The pool was somewhere else, so the courtyard was quiet

Our room was decorated with geographically appropriate decor, and it was squeaky clean There were plenty of towels and toiletriesThe ac/heater unit provided enough sound to block what might happen outside without being too noisyThe staff was friendly and helpful Good location, too

Olga Ortiz

I don’t normally write hotel reviews, as most places just don’t meet our expectations This is by far the absolute best location of Best Western hotels we’ve ever stayed at My husband and I like our space and being sort of neat people we like our home to be clean, tidy and comfortable

When we travel, is very hard to match our high standard of confort while staying at different hotels This Best Western provided a great experience for us The room had plenty of space for our travel items, it was extremely clean (my absolute pet peeve), bathroom and sink areas were roomy with enough space to place our personal items I want to thank whoever is managing this hotel Erica checked us in and was super nice, the cleaning crew is doing an extraordinary job (keep up the great work), the pool and spa were a real treat, breakfast was plentiful and yummy We will save this location as one of our favorites

Inis Smith

If you have pets I suggest you stay away

We have been on an extended road trip and this is the worst and most expensive place we’ve stayed It looks like a very cute little best Western We were place in a dark musty outdated room with several wet spots on the floor that my dogs wouldn’t stay away from My one dog found something under one of the beds and every time I woke up he was trying to get at it I woke up several times to a stuffy room and every time I turned the air down when I went back to it it was on 74 I called the front desk and was offered no solution my only choice was to sleep there or pay another night somewhere else Breakfast was descent No more best Western unless it’s plus

Fantastic stay; super clean and comfortable I understand that this Hilton is more geared towards the younger generations, by my husband and I really liked the minimalistic simplicity I love that the rooms did not have carpet or ugly wall hangings

We appreciated the smart TV and charging stations everywhere Great Job, Hilton We will look for Tru by Hilton whenever we travel

Kristy Paolucci

I have never felt inclined to leave a hotel a review until I stayed here It is now the only hotel in GJ I will stay at because the customer service is unmatched! Amanda at the front desk is always smiling and happy to help and her as well as the other staff I have met are all very happy to accommodate you This hotel is located a behind main street which does usually mean better rates too! I love the little details like the custom greetings on the TV when you arrive, and love how green they are when it comes to toiletries

Clean, modern, spacious hotel rooms with some pretty nice views as well! Highly recommend!

Denise Zink

The Hotel is vibrant, modern and people are friendlyWe checked in this hotel in Grand Junction, after driving 7 hours from Page AZ and had stayed at Home2Suite in Page which was an exceptional HUGE hotel Therefore, checking in back to a ‘normal’ size room, it did feel small :)However, this Hotel is so modern, so colorful and all people worked there we countered were nothing but very nice!! The room is compact but you will have everything you need!We especially love the design of the bath room They give you a very special soap and shampoo dispenser, not the tiny little one that you have to keep asking for more

These dispensers are so large, so convenient and so nicely design For people travel a lot, they will understand why this feature is important 🙂 If I am traveling with a family, I will still pick Home2 Suite because of the size of the room if for just one night for solo or two, I don’t mind to stay at Tru by Hilton againI worked for some of the nicest Hyatt International Hotels in Asia before, never expect Hilton really stepped up for some small chain hotels like these Home2Suite and Tru by Hilton, now are my favorite !

A parking fee for a really big lot that no one is using on top of a $300 night stay is absurd parking fee needs to go Clean for the most part and beds were soft

The night staff are rude i had called the front desk twice to ask questions because there were teens running up and down the halls drinks in hand and i got hung up on by the brunette gal in a blue shirt with glasses on I won’t judge all my services based on her The pool was decent sized, no hot tub The tv’s are small little things Wish the night staff would monitor the hallways because there are guests that would like to actually be able to sleep here Only thing in the room i would have liked to see was more pillows They were very small and some of us have big shoulders and only 2 pillows on a queen sized bed just doesn’t do it for me

Choverine

We were charged 9 dollars for parking Why would you charge any amount of money for parking at this hotel when there are plenty of parking spots? It’s not like the hotel is located at some high traffic area and parking is premium Just makes me think it’s simply to take more of your hard earned money

Otherwise, our room was clean Staff is friendly and welcoming Gym was clean as well

We had a two night stay at this location The hotel was nice and clean, a little outdated but a good stay They had friendly staff and housekeeping that comes by everyday to change out towels and to empty trash

They have hot coffee and hot water available for guests They are only doing breakfast sacks at the moment so no continental breakfast It was pretty quiet even though this location is near the freeway, just some guests next door Overall, a good stay for a good price 👍

Top notch service from Leslie!!! Temperature is currently=burning with fire and brimstone Heat advisory’s and triple digits for days is what prompted us to stay here They have a pool and I figured that I could tolerate the pee from 3 potential children vs all of district 51 kids that would be swimming at Lincoln Park or Fruita

So… I made a reservation at the Home2suites which is much closer to my house The day of check in, I received a call from the manager at 8am I thought they were calling to let us know about early check in which I requested the day prior when I made the reservation Nope They called to say we don’t rent to locals and they did not deliver the news pleasantly After being hung up on and having my reservation canceled against my wishes, I called Hilton reservations and they checked the policy at this location and called to verify Leslie was so kind and let the reservation agent know that she had a room available for us to check in immediately Service was night and day When I arrived I was greeted promptly and Leslie was just amazing Although the phone was ringing and other people were waiting in line, she focused solely on checking us in She took the lemons and made me a vodka lemonade! I highly recommend this propertyThank you Leslie for saving the day and preventing me from dying of heat stroke and possible hot flash overload

Rhoda McCoy

My husband and I had to stay overnight due to my father being hospitalized at the VA in Grand Junction They are pet friendly and were more than accommodating to us!!! Dillon was the desk clerk that checked us in at night and was wonderful to help us get in a room that was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable Laurie was the morning clerk and was so kind knowing we didn’t have any luggage with us gave us tooth brushes, deodorant and asked if we needed anything else!! They treated us like family and we won’t stay anywhere else in Grand Junction from now on!! Laurie also set us up for Hilton award program so we received points

We can’t say enough good about this hotel!!!

We were visiting for a conference so all the hotels around were busy My room was clean and comfortable, and so was the bed in particular Customer service was great, people were nice and didn’t seem to hate their job, so that’s something! Breakfast is alright, I would like to see a couple more vegetarian options in the sandwich section as I could only eat muffins, scones and granola

I love oatmeal though, so that was good

Evelin

We only stay at Marriott and this is by far one of the worst stays we’ve had There is mold growing in the shower, the bathroom ceiling is bubbling up, the fan is so dusty we didn’t even want to turn it on The couch in the living room was also extremely dusty and we didn’t really want to sit on it

The carpet was coming apart and the room was really smelly They have pans and pots in the room but no stove or oven (that was odd/funny) We thought about complaining but we didn’t notice all these things until the next day We only stayed two nights and only used the room to sleep I’m giving it a 2 because the staff was really nice O can see this in a Motel 6 but Marriott’s are typically better The breakfast was ok for being free They don’t have a microwave in the buffet area for guests to use Which is weird because my oatmeal wasn’t cooked through with just the hot water they offer so I had to take it to my room to finish cooking it in the microwaveUPDATE: We decided to give this place a second chance on 4/1/22 The worst experience we’ve ever had! This place is like a cheap Motel 6 The people above us were so loud Banging and screeching chairs The people next to us screaming all night long The people across from us fighting and banging doors We never like to complain but it was just so much! We were tired and trying to sleep We called the receptionist but it didn’t really fix the problem We tried putting the AC as white noise but the AC had a loud screeching noise all the time There was mold in the bathroom AGAIN! We really are done with this place If I could give them a zero, I would!!! The staff is nice but the hotel and the people that stay there are the worse!

I pulled in at 11pm after a rough 11 hour drive The lady at the desk made sure to check me in as quickly as possible so I could get to my room asap, which I appreciated I wasn’t charged a pet fee either

The mattress was way too firm for my liking, but that’s just how it is with hotels Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious Would stay here againThe place is right next to a busy freeway, which I didn’t mind at all (I grew up in a house next to a freeway) but I know it bothers some people Just be aware before booking

James Barker

Kudos to the staff! Thank you to the lady working the front desk overnight on 9 July for helping me start my laundry! The breakfast was pretty good Extra points for having a carafe of milk/cream for my coffee :)The suites are awesome btw!I was in the suite originally but extended for an extra night and needed to switch rooms due to availability Attached at photos of the regular king room, which is also very nice

stayed in June 2022 with king bed One of the better La Quinta we have stayed in Has 5 floors, a large lobby/breakfast area with good food selection with plenty of seating

Work out room, and its it pet friendly Our room was nice and well furnished Parking was limited somewhat Bathroom had 2 saloon type doors that was different, show head &/or pressure was low and the commode must have been industrial type as it was Noisy & we could hear our neighbors flush as well We would stay there again

I could not have asked for a better stay We happened to book this place just passing through on our way home and, due to an accident on I-70, we showed up at 1AM We were greeted by a friendly face with warm well wishes for a good night’s rest

We were told about a hot breakfast in the morning and made the plan to wake up a bit earlier to forage for some foodWe had a wonderful night’s rest in the cozy king size bed and the room was plenty big enough for my husband, our 1 year old, and I The bathroom was beautiful and I unexpectedly enjoyed the bathroom sink being in the bathroom (as opposed to being in a hallway of sorts like chain hotels do) as it meant my 1 year old could sleep in without the disturbance of getting ready sounds There was coffee ready to make in a little nook in the room, as wellAfter getting ready, we took our things to the car and headed to breakfast The dining room/bar was busy but still comfortable And the best part for us, by far, was the hot breakfast They had a pretty proper “country inn” hot breakfast, complete with great coffee, whole milk, bacon, sausage, delicious scrambled eggs, and seasoned hash browns This was the best hotel breakfast we’d ever had, and was better than what you’d get at a chain breakfast place Did I mention it was also complementary? We were astoundedSuffice to say, we’ll be coming back for a proper visit to enjoy the rest of the amenities – the pool, spa, and a walk around the beautifully maintained property – as well as to go wine tasting Thank you, Wine Country Inn, for such a surprisingly pleasant quick visit We can’t wait to visit again!

Shelley Kelso

Absolutely wonderful! The staff, the room, the location, the beautiful grounds, and the morning breakfast made our two night stay here an unforgettable experience! Oh yeah, and the nightly glass of complimentary wine that is really good! I might just have to set up another trip to this area just to stay at Wine Country Inn again!!! (We’re from Florida

)

Jennifer Heinze

Love, love, love this hotel It is beautiful and super clean They just bought the winery down the road, so you can walk to do a wine tasting and buy spectacular wine

You also get a complementary glass of wine with each day of your stay! No one does that! It is an awesome perk They have an outdoor hot tub that is currently open from 9:30am to 10pm The free breakfast has a lot of hot options It is the best free breakfast that I have ever had at a hotel And I travel a lot!

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and AC worked well However this location advertises itself as having a pool and the pool obviously has been closed for quite some time, and will be closed as structural repairs are neededThe elevator had been broken down for 3+ weeks as well when we arrived

Walking up 2 flights of stairs is fine if you’re able-bodied and don’t have a ton of luggage, or if you’re not the staff and have to transport items up and down the stairs instead of having an elevator, but if you have any accessibility concerns and haven’t requested an accessible room you should be aware Comfort Inn needs to update their listing on the site to reflect that there is not, and will not be a pool at this location at any point in the near future and put significant effort into rectifying the issue with the elevator

Crystal M

It was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in awhile! The room and over all hotel was very clean, I’ve stayed 2 tonight’s with 3 children and every morning the breakfast lady would greet us and have coloring pages and crayons for my kid and help with any needs best breakfast by far, if I had anything needing done they were super fast at fixing the problem!Every morning they’d ask if I’d like my sheets changed out n replace anything used from the night priorThe new manger was great and answered any questions or concerns I had and made sure I was pleased, they always greeted u when u returned! The pool was down but is being remodeled so it will be top notch once all completedOver all the best hotel I’ve stayed at for awhile!

Bryce Scott

The pool has been closed for 3+ weeks yet not advertised as being closed on any website or booking platform Since reservation was made through a 3rd party website, specifically for a hotel with a pool, I was not able to cancel and go to another hotelRooms are medium size, beds are comfy, bathroom is small and tub is very small but water is hot and high pressure

Overall stay was good, the hotel was convenient to the highway and most things were good Only issue was the floors had not been cleanedStayed here on a road trip

Front desk staff were friendly and efficient, room was spacious and well-appointed, the furnishings were in good condition and worked well, wifi worked well, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and worked well Check-out was easy and bill was accurateOnly problem was the floor had not been cleaned prior to our arrival Everything else seemed to be clean, but the floor definitely wasn’t

The rooms are really rough The mattress was definitely past its lifespan Everyone was friendly and the pool was clean and nice

The restaurant staff was friendly and food was great! It took a long time for the food but but ended up being good Would we stay again? Probably not We will try someplace else next time The cost just doesn’t equal the quality here

Rooms are always clean Pool and hot tub area is nice I have to say though that the restaurant and bar are excellent

Relaxing environment, Mariah who served me was the nicest, most professional bartender that I’ve encountered in awhile I’d stay there again just to have a good meal and a drink there Richard, always does an excellent job as well Overall, great place to stay

Great stay after a long day of travel Check-in was amazing – friendly and helpful front desk who went above and beyond to make sure I got relaxed and in bed right away Both room and pool towels were scratchy, though, and the hot tub left me kind of itchy

Hair products left my hair feeling damaged, but lotion was great as was the toilet paper Room was huge and bed was comfortable, but I brought my own blankets to weigh me down more than the light sheets There was a fair bit of light from the parking lot which was a trade off for trying to get morning sun Front desk was on the phone when I went to check out and didn’t seem to acknowledge that I was waiting for 5 minutes Coffee in the lobby was cold, too, but she replaced it right away Would stay here again

We got in late and had planned to stay at another hotel but that other hotel was shady as hell This was our 2nd choice and I’m glad we stayed here We got a room relatively inexpensively for 3 people

Evening and morning staff were incredibly nice and super helpful Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the shower was good If I had a complaint it was that it was hot in the room and the thermostat for the heater was a bit worn so it was hard to tell how to turn it down That said, we managed it with the in room AC and all was good Close to a couple of truck stop gas stations that allowed us to get snacks and stuff All in all, it was a good place to stay

Location wasn’t bad Had plenty of parking for my truck pulling a 30 foot trailer and had a great little Mexican restaurant right in front That’s where the good ends

We reserved a superior King with a mini-fridge and microwave paid online and were all set When we got to rather property they checked us in ran my card and gave me a room key After lugging all our stuff upstairs to find a room with 2 queen beds no microwave or mini fridge So it’s back downstairs to the registration desk to get the room that we paid for I was left wishing we’d stayed in the 2 queen room Our room was hot and the wall ac unit had the directional vanes all broken out and barely felt cooler than the outside air temp even with the jnow turned to max cool (The 2 queen room had an updated ac with digital readout and a remote) It was not worth the trouble to switch to yet another room so we deal with sitting on the bed sweatingWe considered staying in Grand Junction again this evening but wouldn’t stay at the Red Roof if we do I will be watching my bank statement to see if they charged me online (at their website) as well as at the front desk It definitely wasn’t worth paying for twice

Very clean and recently updated inside Nothing too fancy but a great price for a comfortable clean hotel room with no hidden pet fees We travel with our little dog and most hotels have hidden pet fees or the pet rooms smell like a dirty kennel

Not the case with this oneEverything looked very clean and smelled clean It’s right off the highway so it’s very convenient if you’re just passing through on a road trip and there is a restaurant there attached to the lobby which was also very convenient We would definitely stay here again if we are passing through

My second visit to this location The staff is very friendly and the location is great on Main St Paying to park at the hotel is a bit overkill on my opinion

🤷🏻‍♀️I’ve had a very nice experience here I can’t help but to recommend it I think you’ll enjoy your stay!

Very filthy, noticed a bottle cap upon entering under the knight stand, then a bunch of cracker crumbs and didn’t think much about it Went out did our thing, woke up the next morning to make coffee Noticed dog food surrounded by a bunch of dog hair next to the entrance

Facial hair in the shower room, long black hairs in the restroom Took a closer look at the bottle cap and noticed that there was a ear plug and 1 bifocal lens as well So immediately took pictures and asked the man at the front desk if we could speak with a manager, he wasn’t in so we asked if he could call us Still have not got a call, very frustrating We expected a clean room staying at a Marriott hotel for $200 a night Covid and now monkey pox going around, so was the bedding even changed makes us question all of it Its not my job to inspect the cleanly-ness of a room I rent Slap in the face to not even get a call back, so good luck Greg your a real winner

We always stay at Marriott’s because we feel like we know what we’re getting for our buck and we can trust them The other major reason is breakfast We come to Grand Junction often as a little getaway and to enjoy the hikes

We have stayed at the Springhill before and we’ve had good stays Not sure what’s changed but their breakfast is mediocre They keep on saying it’s due to COVID concerns and safety measures but at this point I think it’s just greed They’ve taken away the waffle maker and the microwave from the buffet area They don’t have hot food except for some disgusting “breakfast Sandwiches” If you can even call them that No more granola bars or fruit The oatmeal is gross, too mushy and the walnut nuts tasted old too They have bread That’s pretty much eat Toast, bagels, waffles that come in plastic bags and they heat up in the microwave That’s your hot option And the disgusting breakfast sandwiches I’m extremely disappointed The room was good It was clean and spacious The beds were comfortable and we slept well I’m giving this place a three star because of the mediocre breakfast
