Beautiful, clean, and comfortable place to stay! Loved the location and walked to downtown and to the Cornell campus Kenn and Madeline are great hosts! Very friendly and easy going! The breakfast each morning was unbelievable! So delicious! We had a choice each morning of what to have for breakfast We are so glad we stayed there!

We LOVE staying at the Inn On Columbia! Madeline & Kenn are the most wonderful and hospital hosts The options are fabulous and always clean, well appointed, and equip with anything you might need Breakfast scones and muffins are always fresh and yummy, but if you prefer a full breakfast, no need to go anywhere but the main house where Madeline will cook you up an incredible breakfast from scratch! Whether you’re in town for work or a holiday, the Inn will never disappoint! Thank you, Madeline & Kenn!

The BEST Hilton property I have ever stayed at From beginning to end, we were treated professionally and made to feel welcome Super clean rooms, lobby, breakfast/bar area

Trendy and comfortable sixty restaurants within a four-block radius The Ithaca Commons are not even a block from this hotel I loved how green they have manged to achieve I felt good about being at this hotel My husband and I will return again and again Especially during the summer

Brenda

Found this little gem while attending a boat show in Ithaca The well designed lounge area offers fireside options with plenty of seating The cocktail bar and restaurant were fantastic with excellent customer service and a decent menu selection

The front desk “lady boss” was my first impression, and she rocked it Both professional and very personable, shared a common ground conversation about my hometown of Canandaigua and sailing Comfortable beds and cleanliness expected with Hilton, did not disappoint Only downside was the off site parking garage, not a far walk but very low ceiling height for truck clearance Would stay again, but find alternate plans for parking

We paid a little over 2 grand to stay for a week due to educational responsibilities in the area, Only to arrive to no complimentary breakfast, if you wanted the breakfast (which granted we should have verified prior to our stay) It consisted of cold coffee, eggs, bacon, hash browns and the occasional pancake All together you had to pay an extra $14 for everything The rooms were nice, pretty small and intimate which was fine since it was just my husband and myself

The rooms did not have a microwave, nor did they have a small regular size refrigerator The refrigerator was a pull out draw disguised as a cabinet beneath the coffee station in the room Now, please if your going to stay here, your going to have to store food , to which your going to have to go downstairs to use the microwave in the hallway behind the front desk to warm up so please prepare for that The customer service was great, it was quite and everyone was kind, however we will never stay there again Way to over priced for what was provided By the way we stayed in a regular King room, I’m sure they had other room layouts so this review is specifically for that room and our all around experienceAlso go to the near by Walmart after checking in if you do decide to stay here and download the door dash to see the restaurants in the area The local mall is literally, a BJs, Target, and like two other stores Treat yourself to one or two of the many beautiful wine vineyards in the areaParking is a few blocks down the street, in a parking garage to which you have to pay nightly for No valet is offered

This hotel has excellent parking, very comfortable beds, helpful staff, and the complimentary breakfast was well- stocked Pat was extremely helpful and attentive in the breakfast area She make our experience top-notch

The whole hotel was clean and secure and we felt very safe The complimentary cookies, fully stocked coffee area, and water bottles made us feel welcome

Roo Dunn

First let me tell you that the staff team was awesome If this comment was only about the desk staff or breakfast crew you’d get top marks Peg answered my questions on the phone and remembered me at the property

But then this Parking lots have to get surfaced and striped I get that But no advanced notice and more importantly no signage and conflicting no parking signs was not just inconvenient, it was unprofessional and it was easily avoidedNext was the room condition It was just plain worn out I can imagine that the owner or developer has put off upgrades Why would they spend money that they can avoid? But seriously A cracked lampshade and broken desk chair with holes is just plain lazy ownership or a failure to delegate authority and provide an AMEX card

WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE! The Hampton Inn Ithaca was one fo the worst hotel experiences of my life First of all, this place claims to be pet friendly, but they charged me a $100 non-refundable pet fee for my emotional support pet You are also not allowed to leave your pet unattended in the room at any time

Doesn’t seem very pet friendly to me Furthermore, the rooms were disgusting The bathrooms and surfaces had clearly not been cleaned and there was trash under the couch We had them move us to a different room, but the new room was just as dirty The pool was also closed, which was a bummer, but the hotel staff said not to use the jacuzzi either because the filters circulated fecal matter and they could not do anything about it We tried to watch TV in our hotel room in the evening, but they do not provide Netflix or anything and the TV channels all were picking up a lot of static to the point where it was difficult to watch anything The hotel is also supposed to offer free breakfast, which I guess they do if you consider a waffle maker and some sausages breakfast The spread was severely lacking any substance or effort The hotel staff also was not very friendly or helpful We didn’t have very high expectations for this hotel, but it still managed to disappoint The Hampton Inn Ithaca basically ruined our weekend trip The conditions were worse than most motels Save your money and stay somewhere else!

After searching the area for a budget friendly decent place to stay we decided on the the Country Inn and Suites My daughter is a first year student at Ithaca and we have stayed at two other places One was sold out the other was much more expensive

We just needed the room for the night so figured this would work We arrived and the place was nice, it was so close to campus! The front desk was so very nice though the whole trip even when an issue arrive The room was much bigger then expected, clean and comfortable Everyone had a good night sleep Breakfast was really a full buffet The pool was nice the only downside was the hot tub was out of order Hope it is working next time because we will be back!!

The pluses: The place was clean and the bed was comfortable These two items are important But then there was a rather long list of dissatisfactions

One complaint is petty: I had my taste buds set on waffles I can’t remember the last time I had one, and I was looking forward! They were included in their write up but the waffle irons sat in the kitchen area, not offeredNot a petty complaint: The tub was very poor draining I take a rather quick shower and when I finished, the water was up over my ankles The sink was equally as slow to drainAnother not petty complaint: The pool water was like ice, and the temperature of the pool area was extremely cold This probably explains why we never once saw the pool in use The hot tub was broken Leave your bathing suit homeAnd yet another complaint: Breakfast is between 6-9:30 Both mornings, we arrived at 8:45 At both coffee stations, the decaf (a requirement for me due to a heart condition) was stone cold NO coffee with breakfast, a major bummer for meThe complaints are enough for us to warrant looking at another hotel on our next stay This place was a disappointment

Shannon Kauderer

I’ve been here a few times over the year and they’re reasonable with solid pricing Everything is clean but some of it has run down over the years The whole parking lot could due with a repaving and the room itself smelled a bit off

(Luckily I brought an air filter which worked like a charm) With its location near the middle of Ithaca I’ll still come again, but it could do with a few improvements

Fantastic stay! The room was beautiful, cozy, and clean Comfortable bed and tasty breakfast We stayed in the Dane’s room and thoroughly enjoyed the warm jacuzzi

Great location! Inn Keeper Amy was fast to reply to our messages and recommended great places to eat close by Lily and Casey were friendly and provided a tasty breakfast in the morning 10/10 Would recommend to any and all Thank you Amy for a great stay!

I think the breakfast was lovely My husband values breakfast over bed I however value the comfort of my sleep over the meal served! Yes, it was a great visit, no I did not like it

I did not sleep for two nights the mattress was like cardboard If they wanted repeat customers they would fix it, my guess is they don’t get a lot of repeat customersThanks, but please get better mattresses!

Henry Collins

I just returned from a three-night stay at the William Henry Miller InnLet me start with an absolute, unconditional recommendationOur room was spacious, and had a comfortable chair and chaise for sitting and reading and knitting

(And a desk with chair)The bed was large and comfortableThe location is perfect – walking distance to everything downtownA real standout/high point is the breakfast This is NOT just cold pastries and a large bowl of little yogurts in a tub of iceThe oppositeEach morning we were served a breakfast of juice, fruit cup, freshly prepared eggs, frittata, or quiche, toast or pancake or waffle (they scrupulously observed my gluten free diet), sausage, and delicious herbed home fries (not yesterday’s leftovers reheated and fried)Each day a small dessert was delivered outside our room and again my GF diet was scrupulously observedThe women who cooked and/or served our food were cheerful, friendly, and helpful DelightfulBecause of Covid, no housekeeping was provided, as fully disclosed before we made the reservationAnd it was wonderful – we never had to worry about vacating to let housekeeping come inThe remainder of the common areas were clean and well appointedVery fairly priced tooOverall – fantastic, and on our next trip to Ithaca we will most definitely return

Stayed in corner suite facing clock tower Beautiful views and decor Room was well kept and spacious

Staff were excellent minus valet staff, whom were a complete mess Seemed like there is always too many cars sitting out front at all times so the front entrance is supper clogged Still giving 5 stars for service because other staff were so great Heard Statler is the best hotel in the area and it lived up to its reputation!

This seems to be an old hotel remodeled If they spent half the money on the rooms and just paint the building white, this might be a better rating I asked to be moved because my front door didn’t open because the door would get caught on the carpet

My remote didn’t turn on my TV which had to be done by hand The thermostat didn’t react to changes made Room said it was 69 I changed it to 72 Laid down then noticed heater didn’t kick on so changed to 73 Nothing 74 and heater started up Bed seemed like it was an older model with heavy use It’s next to a Mexican restaurant that’s good enough and across from a speedway so that’s a plus There was a young lady with glasses who was super helpful up at the front desk which helped as well I hardly rate hotels but I’ll start after this

John Hector Heinen

Most hotels provide you with soap and shampoo Some bring their own You get in the shower and there is no shampoo or soap what do you do? Hope you can pump out enough to wash

Housekeeping forgot to fill soap and shampoo bottles I like this concept since this prevents more plastic waste in our landfillsOther than that I had a pleasant stay and staff very kind and helpful with all my needs Thank you all

Chris Parker

It’s a nice Fairfield Inn The breakfast is minimalist but fills your belly OK Super nice front desk staff and checking in on the app beforehand made it fast and our key was waiting for us

The pillows are down so you may need two at night AC worked well in the room My only complaints were the gym was set to 78 and was locked so it couldn’t be changed which made running on the treadmill quite toasty and the shampoo in the shower was basically water Some paper towels or regular towels in the gym to clean up sweat after would be good The hotel is 2 minutes from Buttermilk Falls, 35 minutes from Watkins Glen State Park and about 10 from the farmer’s market which is a must go to on the weekend

Called to inquire about this location for my wedding venue The woman I spoke to immediately shut me down after I told her our guest count and literally told me “we’re probably not the place for you Your guests would just get lost in the space

” What? I understand they probably wanted to keep dates open for larger parties that would pay more but I just thought they would value my business and money and want to be a part of someone’s special day Even small parties shell out a lot of money She said their guest count minimum was clearly stated in their information I had to ask where this was written and it was not clearly stated, it was written on page 3 of their prices and policies under the bar information If they do not want to bother with smaller parties I suggest to them that they CLEARLY state the minimum on their website If you are looking for a venue and have a smaller party do not bother with this place

Benjamin Stevens

I had my wedding at the Fontainebleau in October 2017, and I genuinely could not have wished for a better venue Not only were the staff and owners helpful, kind, and efficient, but the entire grounds is straight out of a dream The little stone chapel for a ceremony, and this beautiful Inn for the reception and a beautiful weekend stay, and I could not possibly recommend them higher

This Inn was the loveliest, most comfortable space I have ever had the pleasure of staying in The rooms are gorgeous and the area is incredibly historic; they are within walking distance to Ithaca Commons but with a nice, spacious, private parking lot My sister and I really enjoyed the free luxury espresso machine on the beautiful solarium in particularly

This is a beautiful place and I cannot talk enough about how much we adored our stay!

Bea Rue

We had the absolute loveliest stay at this gorgeous hotel! The mansion was painstakingly restored to its original glory and had the most beautiful furniture and fixtures throughout All the staff were so very friendly and accommodating, the bluestone patio and back tented area were such great additions to lounge in, and every space was incredibly clean and bright with plenty of natural light The hotel was also a very short 2-block walk to the downtown area of Ithaca Commons with all the shops, bars and restaurants

We loved every second there and can’t wait to return!

John Catlett

We had an excellent stay at the Argos Inn The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was very relaxed, and the space was really comfortable The room was beautifully furnished and the recent snowfall made everything seem serene and magical, especially looking down over the lanterns on the back patio through our window

We will be back the next time we come back to town

Nicely appointed rooms with a modern and clean feel The free hot breakfast is rather good, and the close proximity to Buttermilk Falls State Park (within walking distance) is a wonderful bonus! The beds could be firmer, and there could be more towel bars in the bathroom, especially if there are more than two people sharing a room However, the Dove soaps and shampoo are a plus, and the gym and indoor pool are nice amenities

One of the best hotels in ithaca (we have stayed in many) The staff here are amazing Nicole and Sandie really made this trip amazing they are some of the best staff

Nicole not only made last minute accommodations for us, but any issue we had was immediately fixed Sandie made an excellent breakfast and kept everything clean, making sure there was fresh fruit out for everyone Me and my family will be back here!

Esther Snavely

Room 301: Bed is really comfortable, the air conditioner buttons are broken but it still works great The room is very clean, little odd for the bathroom light switch to be by the entrance door and not in the bathroom The window curtain is completely black out, I suggest you turn a light on before closing it

Lol learned the hard way Breakfast has plenty of choices to pick from The staff is helpful It is nice to be in the city of ithaca and have peace and quiet as soon as you walk in the door of the hotel The rooms are big and spacious We enjoyed ourselves enough to stay another night

The hotel management (Kellen) and staff were incredibly polite, professional and efficient! My room was clean and quiet I really enjoyed my meal with family at the Monk’s restaurant in the hotel Affordable and decent wine list, fast elevators, clean inside and outside of the hotel

Great location for access to local restaurants, stores, parks, Cornell and Ithaca College I will be back!

Tina Hoff (LifeBeats)

We have stayed in the Marriott in downtown Ithaca NY twice and each time the rooms were immaculately clean, and the service was excellent (even though, like all service industries, they are short staffed) The breakfast at Monk’s Restaurant is really good, tooDuring our most recent stay, my son worked out with me in the fitness center, and did too much after a large meal

He got sick, and after calling the front desk, a very kind custodian came to help His name was Jose, and he was very understanding and helpful We were very grateful for him He should be commended for his service and his kindness

M

This hotel has potential because it’s a great location and I like the more modern features and thoughts in the room It seemed like there was fresh air pumped into the room and you with a little work to get the room dark at night And quiet with the idea of putting the fridge and microwave further away in a cabinet

There was some nice efficient feel to a couple of the hospitality staff I dealt with but mostly felt inconsistent and inconvenient, especially at the beginning before I knew my way around and the limitations You are very much on your own now with mobile phone key entry They don’t leave a phone number or a menu in your room so you know where to order food when you arriveIt seems possibly they hire some people quick to do some jobs around there without the right training or value in hospitality or allowance to accommodate, and that matters for everybody

Contacted Diane in advance as I was traveling for business; had some questions regarding the flexibility of my stay Diane was very prompt in her reply, and said it wouldn’t be an issueAs a small business owner, I greatly appreciated the non-chain hotel “feel” of her beautiful accommodations, and Diane herself is so genuinely friendly and helpful

I wound up being there 4 nights, and Diane was ever so willing to let me come and go as I pleasedI would not hesitate to recommend a stay here- absolutely gorgeous views of Cayuga Lake, a few minutes to several good places to eat/drink, etc I will definitely be staying there again next time I am in the area Thank you again Diane for everything!

Although our room was spacious and clean, the rest of the property is extremely cluttered and dirty The common area tables were full of odd things and crumbs, deflated old balloons, lots of dust The outside seat cushions are old, flat and very uncomfortable

The grounds are terribly neglected with overgrown grass and weeds everywhere The outside terrace furniture needs to be replaced and the whole thing cleaned up It was clear Diane was not aware we had booked breakfast and literally pulled leftovers out of her fridge and made a very strange dish that was not very appealing She never asked about dietary allergies or preferences This is unfortunate since she could easily get some bakery pastries, fruit, yogurt, granola etc without much effort and make it quite nice for guests We decided to go somewhere else for breakfast on the additional daysThere was also a very stale dusty smell in our room, on the bedding and towels I sprayed air freshener in the hopes to make it better but it only masked the smell for a little while Yes, the inn is quirky which could add to the charm, but instead it just makes it look dated, dusty and in need of a huge makeover I am pretty sure the comforters, pillows etc haven’t been washed in a really long time If you are considering this inn, please just be aware that all of the photos are very old The inn and grounds do not look anything like what you see I wish I had done a better job in checking the reviews and considered the poor ones, not just the good ones I feel like there was a bit of a bait and switch here

Between Seneca and Cayuga there’s a really nice joint called the Glass Magnolia in Interlaken, it’s virtually dead center of wine tasting Excellent home base for a wine and cheese weekend getaway Breakfast by Wally every morning of your stay will not disappoint

Fun and inventive flavors accompanied by daily special quick breads with every mealDon’t forget to book one of their rooms that has a 2-person jacuzzi tub to relax into after a day of wine, cheese and hard ciderI agree with their claims that:”From weddings to wine tours, or a simple weekend getaway with your loved one, it’s all waiting for you at Glass Magnolia Bed and Breakfast”

Really happy with the service we received Because it was a busy weekend and because our plans changed a few times leading up to it, we ended up booking multiple rooms and multiple different time frames With one quick chat message through the app, the team at the hotel had our rooms all sorted exactly as I asked! Breakfast counter served us 15 minutes after closing

Rooms and common areas were clean and in good repair The near airport location is actually in a very nicely landscaped office park with streams, ponds, deer, ducks and bunnies Great stay!

Clean and well maintained Things that were aggravating: I was out in a wheelchair accessible room, the layout and features of the room were less than stellar for someone without special access needs The room was right near the elevator and the commotion from the elevator bank ruined two nights sleep

The air conditioning wasn’t sufficient to keep the room cool enough for me to sleep And worst of all, the water pressure was barely effective for hygiene Good location, but I would avoid if possible

Picked this location for the price and availability nearby during first week of June Travelling with 2 adults and 1 medium size dog from Boston on my way back to CALocation – was good, located in a business park area, very quiet at night

Parking was spacious and free 15 mins drive to core areaStaff – were nice and helpful, they did serve Starbucks coffee in the morning at the bar, as there is literally nothing nearby the hotelRoom – It was a bit disappointed for the price I paid for It was spacious, however its a bit outdated, and run down Carpet was dirty, I have paid extra $75 for the pet stay, I was expecting spotless I saw dirt, food crumbs on the carpet when I first walked in The bathroom also need some update, the faucet, bathtub, sink were a bit old with stain on itI think the overall room probably need some upgrade and more effort on cleaning if charging your guest $235 a night, with an additional $75 pet feeParking – I think is time to consider adding a few EV charging station at the parking lot to keep up with customer needsFor EV Owners: There are no EV charging station at the parking, I droved to the core area for charging before heading to the hotel
