We loved Hawaii! We did not love Paia Inn so muchPossibly we chose a very busy time to visit, but Paia Inn felt extremely over-priced and poorly maintained We paid $650/night for two nights, for a very small room

The lock didn’t work without lots of jiggling, there was black mold around the shower-head, which also repeatedly fell out onto my headThe service was very pleasant and efficient The area by the sea was idyllic

Alex McClure

This boutique hotel has fantastic customer service We accidentally booked our room for the wrong date and when we showed up, they were already fully booked for the night Savannah at the front desk called in the owner and they worked hard to pull some strings and find a room for us to stay in that night

It felt like they really went out of their way to help us and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone 🙂

I’m incredibly surprised at these positive reviews Paia Inn was so very disappointing We aren’t particularly fussy travelers and we are very familiar with Hawaii, having gone multiple times, and this place was over $600 a night

We booked far in advance What we got for that money was an extremely disaffected staff of young women in their early 20s who didn’t even give us a cursory tour of the property when we checked in, which is MUCH NEEDED because the place is a labyrinth and the entry and exits and multiple keys are super confusing The room was TINY and didn’t even include even basic comforts–we couldn’t adjust the temperature, the windows didn’t have curtains, no coffee machine (just a knockoff Nespresso in the common area) Bed is nothing special and not particularly niceYou do get a mini-fridge and can use beach chairs The beach access (once you find it) is very prettyAll the staff does is take selfies in mirrors and curate their spotify playlistsI couldn’t believe what you get for $600 a night!!We checked in to another WONDERFUL BnB later that week on Maui (Moana Lani) which was HALF the price per night, included a fully cooked hot breakfast and much better round-the-clock coffee, snacks and fresh fruit, private AC, and all the extras like bicycles, boogie boards, chairs, etcDon’t stay at Paia Inn It’s simply not worth the price

This was hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed! Everyone here is so professional and attentive They bent over backwards to make sure our stay was perfect We loved that they had beach chairs, sand toys, coolers and even ice packs for the coolers for their guests to use

We arrived to fresh flowers all over the room and fresh banana bread The views are amazing and the restaurant was also just as good Stay here! You definitely won’t regret it

Jordan Covvey

Just a fantastic experience for our honeymoon We didn’t want the cookie cutter resort experience and the Inn gave us just what we were looking for – a comfortable and lovely full amenity apartment, a great lanai, excellent beach access, and a quiet and relaxing trip Everything was easy, from parking to dinner reservations next door

The staff were incredibly friendly and we enjoyed just being ‘local’ for ten days on the north side of the island Highly recommend

Peter van Beek

It’s nice that it’s more isolated which a positive we felt Staff were so friendly and great The Banyan Tree was average at best and service wasn’t great

Overall expected so much more The lounge is solid with drinks and food and staff was great By far the worst of 3 places we stayed in Hawaii The valet was great although sometimes took a while and one day left on side where slippery and someone fell One hot tub never seemed to get warmIt needs updates I get it’s set back more from beach which is ok but just needed more Food and drinks close way too early too Spa was booked up Just overall dated and not a Ritz quality Great on helping with transportation and helping at valet I don’t think I’d return overall it was nice but not what you expected and pay for itA few updates and changes I’d go again

Bmore Mike

I want to give 5 stars but issue 2nd night with waiter at dinner Otherwise service was excellent! Shout-outs to Margy at the front desk, Z at the breakfast restaurant, & Al for the delicious omelets served with a smile (please get that man new pans!) Service was impeccable

Location is nice if you want to get away from the crowd but 30 minutes or more to most attractions However, there’s a great beach steps away from the property along with a nice trail

Charra Hammett

We stayed here for 4 days in January 2022 and had an AMAZING time The staff greeted us with leis and fresh drinks before we even walked in the door We had an ocean view room overlooking the golf course with incredibly beautiful views

The staff was exemplary and helpful The burger shack & banyan tree both had amazing food and the pool was spectacular The beach was also amazing and you could see whales breaching from allAround Napili beach was 3 minutes away with the BEST snorkeling and everything we wanted to do was close Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

My friend and I had an incredible stay at this hostel – highly recommend for people hoping for fun experiences with great people in comfort and security The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a good stay by offering daily activities, airport shuttles, answering all questions and being so accommodating with bookings The hostel made everyday special, up until the very end where the driver stopped by a quaint beach near the airport for a final send off…all on his own time

The free tours are so much fun and allow you to experience the island authentically and on a budget My friend and I, both women in our 30s, felt safe and comfortable during our stay Truly great environment for all ages Hope you get to experience this gem soon!Amy

I came for a cheap place to stay for 1 night, stayed 1 week for the experiences and the people!Great for: Meeting interesting people from around the world, Partying, Chilling, AdventuringA different adventure for every day of the week: cliff jumping, turtle snorkeling, jungle hiking, the road to Hana, etcParties most nights, typically move off-site after quiet hours hitI stayed behind a couple days and found the place to be quite peaceful midday The geckos would come out, the staff would clean up from the previous night, and the cycle would repeat

Speaking of the staff, I found them all to be friendly chill people They’re not bland corporate hotel servants, so if that’s what you want, just try a hotel They’re more like a friend of a friend hosting a long weekend that you’re invited toI’m already planning to go back!

Noah Rudlin

The staff here really are awesome, and they do everything to try and make your experience worth while and it shows If you’re wanting a solo trip or to come to a place with some friends and to make more lifelong friends then this is the place to go especially if you’ve ever lived in a dorm type situation Guided tours happen everyday and they take you to amazing places, always tip your tour guide! Everything is shared unless you get a private room so if you’re not a younger person this may not be for you, however regardless you will have an amazing experience, one that will be with me for my whole life

Free beer on Friday and jungle juice provided on Monday so also be prepared to party

Having read recent reviews of construction and maybe the hotel going down hill, that wasn’t our experience at all The construction was unobtrusive and quiet – and you have to be able to update the hotel sometime, so understandable too The service was impeccable from checking, to the room hostess, to checking with us to see if we needed anything

It was better service than we have experienced at any resort, especially since the pandemic began The hotel grounds were amazing, as always The room had been updated and was spacious and comfortable We loved our stay

Christine Griffiths

Love this resort! We have stayed here three times now and will definitely be back Our first time we stayed here it was on our honeymoon, the second time we came back with our new little daughter, and this third time we came again as a family, along with my brother and his girlfriend This resort is great for couples and for families

You cannot go wrong hereI was a little bummed upon arrival to discover the main lobby and certain areas of the hotel (including the spa) are under construction, but management was accommodating and it did not terribly interrupt our relaxing timeThe pools are fabulous and the service is five star Mike, one of the servers at the pool, is our favorite He has worked at the resort for years and really makes our trip Many of the staff have worked at this resort for years The longevity of the employees really adds to the experience as a repeat guestI cannot wait to return after the construction is complete I am certain it will be amazing!

Frederick Mansfield

Great location, though the entrance could be a bit more obvious It’s clearly an aging hotel that is currently undergoing a huge multi-year renovation The construction was not obtrusive but I am bummed I missed the main bar in the middle (turtle head)

I am sure it will be amazing once finishedMajor highlights: luau Very cool and entertaining Their beach was very clean as wellMy only major complaint, which did affect our visit, is the walls were very thin You could hear regular conversation through the connecting doors and very easily hear foot steps above us A hotel of this quality should not have these issues As I said in the beginning, an aging hotel that needs updating, which I am happy they are doing The price was definitely higher than we would have liked for the quality of the hotel roomsWould I go back? Yes…AFTER the renovation is completeTook a start off for quality:price ratio

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your stay They compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in the area

I have been staying here for a long time If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I’m sure!Perfect stay if you aren’t looking for the full resort experience however, this place has a great property, fun pool and easy access to the beach It was a perfect place for our family of 4 to extend our Maui trip and manage cost Hula dancing on Wednesday with live music at the pool was a highlight!

ZESTY ZESTY

This facility overall is adequate at best The grounds are pleasant but not overly luxurious, the pool is small as is the gym There are no vending machines or stores within an easy walk

Our two bedroom unit was $650 a night and although they charge a $580 cleaning fee it wasn’t as clean as it could be, little bit of mold in the shower, some windows a little streaked Kitchen cabinets and Furniture a bit worn and out-of-date But it was an easy walk to the nice beaches across the street, fabulous sunsets and everything else that Kihei has to offer There are dozens of condo complexes in Kihei and next time I think I’ll shop around a little further

Trushar Rao

Great resort, staff, location, and service Be aware of the hidden charges that come with this condo I had to pay an extra $35 per night as a “cleaning fee”, which was not stated when I booked my stay with Expedia

The owner of the condo was nice enough to communicate before and after my stay I would have given a 5 star review if it wasn’t for the hidden charges

We LOVED our stay here!!!! The hotel is less than 1min away from the beach, just walk across the street!!! The staff are friendly and attentive We had a suite style room with a full kitchen and living room Loved that we had a full-sized fridge

Also, included in your daily amenities charge ($25), we got rentals of bikes, ice coolers, umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels at no extra charge It felt so down to earth, very relaxing We would definitely stay here again

It was a fairly nice one night start Room and bed were clean The property seems a bit old and worn, but everything was comfortable

It’s hard to overemphasize how nice this place is It is beautiful in every possible way, and it was really hard to leave There were great views, a beautiful balcony off the bedroom, an amazing pool and hot tub next to the bar that were a perfect way to spend the evening The rooms were comfortable and super clean

The staff was kind and attentive The laundry room was on hand to dry my very wet clothes for $3 each day We didn’t try the breakfast, but the bar food was very tasty

Weiyao Wang

Pro: Staff are great! Breakfast has good value Be aware of first floor, since Ocean View Suites can barely see the ocean due to occlusionCon: find 3+ large bugs in my room, a bit scary… but staff told me they came from the storm prior to our arrival and they are having pest control

Staff are helpful in the end to switch me to a higher-floor room with no more insects

Kim Nguyen

My husband and I booked a night at the AC Hotel and had an amazing time there All of the staff were very nice and always greeted us every time we passed by them We got to check in a lot earlier than anticipated as they had availability, giving us more time to enjoy the hotel so this was greatly appreciated

Our room was very clean and modern, and the ocean view room was awesome as we got both a view of the pool and the ocean It’s a short walk to Wailea Beach which was convenient The gym was very clean as well, they have a Peloton bike which was a plus! I highly recommend staying here as our experience was wonderful!

Absolutely horrible place Go somewhere elseAs others have said, no staff on site after 5pm, which is annoying, but not even close to the reason this place is awful

Food? None Drinks? None Convenience store listed on their site? Nope, closed permanently Restaurant? Nope, closed permanently Ice machine, no vending machines, noThe nearest restaurant/food is over a mile away I had to go to Days Inn next door multiple times just to buy some waterOne of the elevators (of two) was under repair, so people frequently had to wait up to three full trips before they could ride it to their rooms (housekeeping would also use it with their carts, preventing many people from getting in the small elevator) Not sure what housekeeping was doing all the time though, since they only clean rooms every 3 daysOn our last day, they put a sign up in the lobby, announcing they were doing renovations on the room immediately above ours THAT DAY So my 1yo baby is woken up from their nap by the sounds of electric saws and grinding and hammering Not exactly a relaxing time

Brian Tutterow

We stayed in the hotel rooms Nice, relatively inexpensive rooms Clean, no frills and partial ocean views are fantastic from upper floors

Wind can howl a bit on 8th floor but dies down after dark Location is great with beaches to the south and a nature trail to the north Saw several turtles in the waters below the rooms and one on land along the trail

Kevin Ta

Friendly staff and security, plenty of parking and extremely close to the beach I sympathize with staff as they seem to be doing the best they can with limited staffingNoticed there was a bobby pin on our bed, cockroach by our sofa and a dirty comforter

Resort photos are not accurateLeft a voice message for new linens which have been unanswered Front desk closes at 5:30pm Resort falling short of what we expected for $700+ a night

We had a wonderful experience at the Ho’omana Spa yesterday on Maui The spa is located in the country so it’s a bit of a drive but well worth it The massage therapists are licensed and were very knowledgeable and friendly

Their products all organic and they went over all their products with us prior to our session and let us pick individually what we wanted them to use, that was nice We had a nice relaxing tub soak for 25 min (my husband and I each had our own tub) and then we had a full body massage with hot stones and a head massage My therapist was Mikel and my husband’s therapist was Lauren, both were great Wonderful day, 25 hrs of pampering and my body said THANK YOU!

Christine O

I received a gift certificate for Ho’omana and am so grateful someone thoughtful treated me Since my original visit I’ve decided to get a membership and come 1x per month The location is relaxing and peaceful; if you live upcountry it is so great to go somewhere for a beautiful massage that isn’t a huge glitzy resort where you can feel out of place if you are local

That being said it is upscale, but does so without all the unnecessary frills, and just feels more Maui I was able to get help with long time sports injuries and truly leave behind the stresses that have been building up over several years and the pandemic I’ve had amazing releases within my neck and shoulders and feel like more space has been created in both my physical and emotional being It was blissful and restorative beyond what I could have imagined I even needed

Nicole Bugni

I can’t recommend this spa enough It’s an incredible hidden gem upcountry, Maui I had the blessing of having Abbie for my 80 minute deep tissue massage including hot stones and followed by a coconut milk bath soak

Abbie has a calm and kind demeanor that immediately puts you at ease and adds to the relaxing experience She is a highly talented masseuse and is very intentional with her body work I loved the entire experience

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t regret itMy husband and I, stayed here yesterday last minute due to having to leave our honeymoon with an emergency at home Very accommodating hotel Offered shuttle service from the airport Had the best service from the gentleman that worked the bar/restaurant area inside the hotel Very clean hotel and rooms Would absolutely stay again

Belinda Ma

This hotel has an excellent location near the airport (especially if you have an early flight the next day), the rooms are clean, comfortable and well-priced and it is also super-convenient to all of the shopping and food trucks in Kahului However, the best reason to stay here is the excellent customer service The staff and management is efficient, accommodating and very professional

They helped me with a big scheduling/technical error and handled it in the most professional and respectful manner I will definitely stay here again and customer services like this is why I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy customer!!!

Melinda Mathews

Very welcoming, super clean hotel Was nice to stay there for 2 nights before our resort time began Bed very comfortable and shower amenities have a good smell

Only uncomfortable thing was the couch but those are typical of Courtyard’s and therefore has nothing to do with the comfort of this hotel I recommend this hotelI

My husband and I stayed 5 nights here on a Points + Cash redemption in a partial ocean view king room We loved every second of our stay!!! We thought the value of upgrading our room to have an ocean view was well worth it, and we were lucky to have our balcony on the ground floor for easy access to the poolThe staff at the hotel are all incredibly kind and responsive

I told them we were celebrating a milestone at my husbands job, and we were welcomed to our room with a bottle of champagne and a congratulatory dessert! It was such a nice treat and made us feel so special! As a Platinum elite member, we chose the breakfast option as our benefit There are a couple places to get your coffee, pastry, and fruit cup for that benefit, but we found the Starbucks to have the best options/variety You get a tall drink of your choice and a pastry like pumpkin bread off their menu options We did not receive a room upgrade, which I politely requested via email before hand as a Platinum member, so I think that’s kind of just how it goes at this resort, but we are only one data point! The rest of the resort amenities, variety of pools, and proximity to the beach are all amazing and a great tribute to why this hotel was a great choice for newlywed couples, families, and older couples alike The one minor thing that this hotel lacked compared to others in the area was direct beachfront access (5 minute walk either direction, with complementary beach chairs on Wailea beach), but the trade off in my opinion is better views of the ocean from the rooms and the pools! All in all, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone!!!

Stayed here on points, booked a garden view room and got upgraded to ocean view, which was amazing Very welcoming and attentive staff, and we enjoyed our welcome drinks and the poolside bar The infinity pool is spectacular, we spent a majority of our day just looking at the ocean from the pool

Probably would not be able to justify staying here paying cash (rates were $1500+/night when we visited), but was definitely worth it on points, and would be worth it if you found some off-season deals

Booked this place by friend’s recommendation Honestly, should have stayed at four seasonsThe place is overpriced for what it is

The buildings are so far from each other and feel like summer camp rather than a luxury hotelThe first red flag was when I called the front desk to book a dinner reservation, and the gentleman told me to go online and book it “Great” customer serviceWhen we arrived the front desk said they got us an amazing roomWhen we walked in, the AC sounded like a tractor, we had to fight with them to get transferredInstead of offering an apology, we felt they just gave us the worst room they hadRooms are not pretty whatsoever, I really didn’t enjoy being insideThe whole property is not maintained well Trash everywhere, I wouldn’t risk to eat in those restaurants Even Starbucks looked disgustingThe only thing we enjoyed was the infinity poolThis hotel should be $400 a night tops Definitely would pay extra $300 to be at four seasons

We ended our stay on Maui at the Montage, and we were absolutely spoiled from check-in to check-out! They upgraded us to a 3 bedroom, premier ocean-front condo (we had reserved a 2 bedroom) and it was pure luxury Rick helped us from the moment we made our reservation and was very responsive to any requests or questions we had and helped set up many of our activity and spa reservations The cabanas at the pool are a nice reprieve from the sun, but you also have chairs set up right next to your cabana rental if you want to soak up the rays

The pool staff was amazing and very attentive I would also recommend a meditation session with Ana She helped us understand the principles behind the meditation before guiding us on our journey A fabulous way to start your day! Cane & Canoe is the perfect place to grab breakfast or a romantic dinner On our last night, we chose in-room dining on our patio, and our server set everything up wonderfully Excellent food and another gorgeous sunset! Montage Kapalua Bay is luxury at its best with a top-notch staff, amazing activities, and fabulous on-site cuisine We most definitely will be back!!

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel This website will compare thousands of hotel sites and usually will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in the area

I have been staying here for years If you stay for a few nights you definitely won’t be disappointedThe Montage on Maui is a beautiful resort with great service and attention to detail The only area is may lack slightly in was the restaurant, I would only rate that as an 87/100Everything else seemed extremely wonderful!!😎👍

We LOVED this resort! We have stayed in many five star resorts and this was definitely near the top of the list The moment we walked in they greeted us with leis and escorted us to our room to find a hand made sign (with all of our kids’ names) on the wall in the entryway to our room to welcome us They were delighted! Then they were even more delighted to see milk and cookies waiting for them (and champagne for us)

Our suite was amazing We loved everything about it There were high end furnishings, plenty of room and a huge patio with an amazing view We felt right at home here The housekeeping services were awesome (and so nice to have both daily housekeeping and turn down service in this Covid world) We also loved having a kitchen and laundry room The room service was prompt The food was good The property was amazing The kids loved the pools which were all connected The beach had the best snorkeling we experienced anywhere right there on the property Top notch service and staff that remember your name We will definitely be back!

Fantastic customer service from Shaunte and staff We stayed at Hoolei Villas at Grand Wailea which is an excellent choice for larger families We were a multigenerational group ranging from 2-68 years and found the Villa to be a perfect choice

The pool at Hoolei and the slides at Grand Wailea provided endless entertainment The food options were good and prices reasonable given the locationRoom service directly to the Villas would have been nice Currently one has to go to lobby of the Grand Wailea to pick up the foodStay was from march 31 to April 10, 2022Ed G

This was our 3rd visit to Ho’olei at the Grand Wailea, we love it We always make sure to book through Grand Wailea to ensure resort privileges Our children are 11, 13 and 15 and they had a ball on the water slides

There are also many areas for smaller children The apartment was enormous, luxurious and the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in We were able to get provisions easily at the Wailea shops The view is sensational with whales breaching 🐋 and the changing light on the volcano – so beautiful and peaceful Bring binoculars! The resorts are spotlessly clean – the property is spacious so even though at times there are a lot of people staying, it never felt crowded I ordered lunch to our pool chairs most days – great kids menu and fresh salads for me Wifi was also excellent I used the well equipped Ho’olei gym and was tempted by the outdoor cycle classes at the Grand Wailea The resort is an easy drive to attractions and 30 minutes from the airport There are lots of restaurants with eat in & take out options We felt very Covid safe and were so grateful for the break We will be back

Luxurious spaces with all kinds of facilities one could imagine They also provide surf boards and beach chairs kept at the garage The kitchen is fully equipped, even with the utensils needed for toddler and kids and all sorts of baking etc things

They gave us 3 keys of the main door but only 1 worked for us so please take care to check all the keys once you enterLocated at just 10 min walk from Wailea beach
