Had a nice view from my room Hotel is under construction and should look great when finished What a perfect location

The renovation was probably due for a long time Looks like a new pool also being built New outdoor facilities One tower has already been repainted and you can see a big difference It is a big hotel to redo so hopefully it will be done in the next six to twelve months Probably also have some new restaurants to compete with fashion island

The customer service here is amazing! They are so helpful and very attentive Between the valet and just walking in the hotel, the staff here has made my family and I feel great! We did have a couple issues with the room and booking, but they did get it sorted out eventually Still loving the staff here and also the vans 😊 keep up the good work!

Great location, great viewsI enjoyed this hotel I see some reviews of negative experiences with temperature in the room, hot water, etc

We did not have any of those issues We were able to set our room temperature, we had plenty of hot water, and if we asked the front desk for more water, they gave it to us We also got a massage at the spa and enjoyed their facilitiesWalking distance to the harbor, the beach, and many restaurant options Or you can get a beach bike from the hotel Several grassy park areas, nice clean beach I really enjoyed our stay

It is one of the rare hotels in Southern California where you can stay for a family vacation It is a beautiful hotel with its proximity to the family action, calmness and comfort inside It is a good alternative for guests coming from out of state, especially with its walking distance to the marina and 20-30 minutes close to many surf beaches spots

When you stay between the cities of San Diego and Los Angeles, it is nice that you can go to both cities at similar times My advice is to have breakfast by enjoying the beautiful weather in the green area in front of you in the morning, there is the legendary open buffet breakfast Especially the scrambled eggs and fresh coffee

Overall, a great hotel in the Dana Point area Very easy to walk to everything you may need Our kids love the pool(s) and the amenities really cater to everyone

We ordered food and drinks by the pool a few days in a row and the prices were extremly reasonable for what you get and the servers were great Even though I have kids myself, I really appreciate that they enforce quiet hours before 9am at the pool because sometimes people are just not considerate for other guests who want to relax or sleep in and allow their kids to scream at the pool super earlyThe staff gives notification of any events/weddings that may be happening during your stay which is also a plusEverything is clean and well maintained The only complaint I could possibly come up with is the required valet kinda sucks We forgot something in the car and the hassle of going down and waiting in line (after paying $46 per day) just to get something out of car is super inconvenient You also feel super rushed when you are loading/unloading luggage when departing/arriving because valet wants to push you in and out

I stayed here for a meeting in the Laguna Room but enjoyed it so much I decided to stay another night on my own! You can’t beat the location — I believe every room has a coastal view and it’s steps from the beach and downtown Laguna The only thing I’d caution is that some rooms and the pool are very close to the public walking trail on the cliff, so you will hear and see the foot traffic, but I enjoyed the people-watching Service was helpful and unobtrusive, and the decor is neutral and understated (doesn’t scream “hotel!” which I appreciate)

Since they don’t have a big lobby or restaurant, it’s a pretty quiet place other than the complementary rooftop happy hour The catering provided for our meeting was simple but nice I liked the sustainable touches such as cloth towels instead of paper, and a reef-safe sunscreen dispenser at the pool Really felt like a getaway, definitely would visit again!

Beautiful hotel, absolutely stunning beach view from our beach facing room The bad was among the most comfortable we have ever slept Staff was extremely friendly, and the rooms are modern and cozy

Many choices for eating are within walking distance as are art galleries and shopping choices The beach is unique, there is traditional sand, but also tide pools which are sadly devoid of the sea life that one would expect We had a wonderful dinner at Nicks Laguna Beach and a memorable anniversary celebration This is now an anniversary destination for years to come

John Moore

Every summer for the past five years my mother has stayed at the inn to attend the Laguna pageant It has a wonderful location with views of the ocean, beach and park and is just minutes to walk from to restaurants and shopping As an older property it has had some renovations done

The common areas are very nice, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable Occasionally there is a bathroom door that doesn’t close properly or a slight odor but overall this is a nice place I do find it a bit pricey but after all it is Laguna Beach

I really would’ve loved to give this place a 5 star but after my experience, I cannot My family and I stayed at this hotel the same time last year and we had a pleasant experience So, when we returned this year we were expecting the same thing

However, we were surprised by the lack of hospitality/service, cleanliness etc When we showed up the service was perfectly fine However, we got into our room and noticed that the floor was quite dirty to the point where we could tell it had no been swept or mopped since the last customer had used the room Along with that, when we went to use the shower there was no hot water We even left the shower running for a good amount of time, and it still was not working right We called the front desk and in the morning maintenance took care of it After this, we did not have any issues until the day we checked out of our room We were thankful that we got to leave our luggage at the front desk of the hotel however, when we came back to retrieve our luggage, my grandmother needed to use the restroom The lady at the front office refused to let her use the restroom and told us that we would need to find an alternative place across the street After not finding a public restroom nearby, we came back to ask again thinking that since we were PAYING customers at their hotel for MULTIPLE nights that they would have some resolution to help us The lady at the front desk was not kind and had no sense of hospitality and was the least bit helpful She claimed that she would get in trouble by her boss if anyone used the restroom in the office area and claimed that all of the rooms were being used or checked into early (it was 1pm at the time) After seeing that our room was just being cleaned (the door was open), we finally convinced her to let my grandmother use the restroom in the room we had just stayed the night in She left us with a snarky remark as our “goodbye” and refused to give her name when I asked to say thank youAll in all, with mine and my family’s experiences this time, I do not recommend the seaside inn any longer

Patrick Brown

We had an absolutely wonderful time here! I was sad it was for only 1 night The staff was so kind and thoughtful, and attentive to our every need, and excellent communication! We even came home from dinner to find a nice snack board and wine in our room, which was a very nice surprise! The room was a stunning 1br suite, just yards from the ocean with killer views! My wife and I will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in town!

We booked a weekend over Christmas weekend with the hope of spending a lot of time inside and order in-room dining to stay safe covid wisePros: Very dog friendly hotel with tons of green spaces for doggies to roam around and do their business We loved our room with its private fireplace

The room was clean and very comfortable Tons of movie choices and just an overall great TV app selection Great staff and serviceCons: The thing that disappointed us the most was the in-room dining food quality The taste was just awful Over the weekend we almost tried everything on the menu and literally everything was just barely eatable including the burger and chicken noodle soup! How do you mess up a burger or a chicken soup? The only item that was OK was the mac and cheese I really hope management reads this review and tries some of the food for themselves Given the in-room menu price points, your clients really deserve better than this

It was fun two nights, the kids had fun in the pool and we made new friends with other nice families with children The servers and the housekeeping staff were very polite and had great customer service skills For the price we paid, unfortunately it did not measure up! I booked the hotel for 4 adults they gave us a tiny room with one king bed once they saw we were two adults and two small children at check in

I had to go back and question that so they gave us a new room with two queen beds Just didn’t feel welcomed at that moment and we probably will not go back there just because for the amount of money paid it’s not worth it We went there to relax and it was very noisy ac compressor maybe? And in the morning 8 am drilling noises and construction sounds The property is really beautiful, with a nice view of the ocean and the coast line The beach is nice too they have sand toys for the kids to borrow and will set up chairs and umbrellas for you The food was delicious!

My husband and I went to the Hyatt Regency New Port Beach last night to watch Christopher Cross for the Summer Concert Series The drive was beautiful The line to enter the hotel has to be more organized

There was traffic coming from three directions, but the gentleman was friendly and led us to the parking lot The gentleman that was doing the parking fees was friendly and very helpful $30 parking fee for the hotel Staff inside were friendly and helped my husband and I to where the concert was The gentleman putting the wristbands on was friendly, professional and we enjoyed the small talk with him A nice woman helped us find our seats The seats were uncomfortable, and very tight where we were sitting A nice couple we sat by was fun to talk too Christopher Cross did not come out until almost 8:30pm, when he was scheduled to come out at 7:30pm There was another artist singing , and it was relaxing and enjoyable to hearWhile waiting for Christopher Cross to come out, there was this drunk woman arguing with this man about a seat, and a bit of drama irrupted, but they solved it quicklyWhen Christopher Cross came out, he seemed like he really didn’t want to be there He didn’t say anything, and started singing I was disappointed to not hear him singing “Alright “ His back up singers did more Would of loved to hear him, because it’s one of his best songs I enjoyBut then he sang my favorite, “ Never be the same, “ Sailing, “Swept away, and “Arthur’s theme” Loved his new songs, and his humor during the concertChristopher Cross is a legend, and for my husband and I to see him is absolutely a gift Gorgeous weather coming out, and throughout the concert Clean, elegant bathrooms Not a line or long waitHighly recommend to get an aisle seat if coming We sat in the middle, very close to Christopher Cross Except for this man’s big blow pop head in front of me, then when he got up, there was another person with a big Homer Simpson head blocking my view of Christopher CrossA beautiful, elegant atmosphere Very fancy, and Summery I rated 3 because of the friendly, professional staff, Friendly parking workers, beautiful, clean bathrooms, gorgeous weather, beautiful, elegant atmosphere everywhere around us, friendly, fun couple we sat by, easy access and fast exit out of the parking lot The only things was the traffic coming into the hotel should have two lanes to let more event customers in quicker instead of blocking traffic, the seats, those hideous drunk people, Christopher Cross coming out late, and him not singing “ Alright” Other than that, my husband and I were very pleased with this lovely, dazzling, and elegant hotelThank you for welcoming us We will be back again for another Summer Concert Series in the future

Stayed at this hotel for three nights with the family The hotel is about a 20 minute drive to Disneyland and about a 20 minute drive to Newport Pier The hotel is definitely a business class type of hotel

The hotel is very clean The pool is very nice No free breakfast but that is to be expected at a hotel that is more of a business class hotel My main complaint about this hotel is the $39/night for parking that they charge Our room was cleaned each day which I have found does not always happen these days at all hotels Shirley’s Bagels is a good bagel place close by If you do go to Newport Pier prepare for the challenge of finding a good parking space but once you do the beach there is a lot of fun and there is a lot of good places to eat down there The four stars instead of five stars is simply because of the insane rate of $39/night for parking

Stephanie Fritz

We stayed here last summerThis is such a wonderful hotel Very clean and very spacious

It is near tons of restaurants and 5 mins from the airport, though it stays very quiet! The pool is gorgeous and clean and their outdoor seating area with the fire pits are amazingEvery person who worked there was so kind and accommodatingWe stayed a week Our only complaint is there was a wedding the whole time we were there so it was very loud and we had to park very far away The entire front entrance to get in was closed off so you had to magically find a door to get to your roomAll in all, for this price, we will be staying again!

Bea Kissinger

Such an amazing stay at Renaissance Newport Beach This hotel has such an amazing vibe The entire place is so nice and clean, the decor was very hip and modern

Every single person who works here was so friendly and eager to helpWe stayed in a 2 Queen room that had a Mountain View The room was spacious, clean and very well kept I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting

Cute little boutique hotel with great staff Greeted by Chris, who gave us a short tour of the hotel, and offered a refreshing drink Highly recommend their bar

Restaurant is open to hotel guests onlyRoom was nice and roomy Appreciated not having a TV 🙂 It is however not quiet (car noise), and no ocean view, unless you stretch out on balcony Easy nice walk to laguna beach

j clarke

Very good location Within walking distance of Laguna Beach shopping district One block away from beach

Quaint, boutique hotel Bar in the lobby with service to the pool Most of the alcohol selections are non-branded items so if you have a favorite vodka, bourbon, tequila, or wine you cannot get it here There are no TVs in the entire facility nor rooms There is a restaurant on site but if you want breakfast they are not open until 8:00 AM The pool area is really nice for lounging away and relaxing Rooms are on the smaller side and can be a bit cramped The overall experience was very nice

Ola Strandberg

Although the initial impression wasn’t that bad – looking down at the yard, the pool, and ocean – the lasting impression of our stay at Hotel Joaquin is one of being robbedTheir website promises a lot, and we splashed out to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and expected (at this price point) an army of service-minded staff that learned our names instead of repeatedly asking for them when eg

serving coffee We expected friendly greetings and questions about dietary restrictions and allergies (I informed them about gluten intolerance when making the reservation), ocean views from the bed (as the website implied), a door that you could lock, sliding doors that actually slid, quiet AC unit, and other bare necessities of a luxury resortWe didn’t expect having no privacy with floor-to-ceiling windows out to a walkway, where people would pass and look straight at you; sliding doors in the room that could not be closed, and made enough noise to wake anyone else sleeping; loud guests and music from downstairs after 10 pm; an awful amount of noise from the road; a very limited set of (odd) breakfast options; gas station type brew coffee only; small tea selection; having to wait 15 minutes for our breakfast despite being the first (and only) guests at 8:10 am, and to add insult to injury, a ”service fee” for breakfast, calculated on a fictional price of the “complimentary” breakfastApparently, they can’t afford to pay the staff, despite the $739/night room price (with the bogus $60 ”resort fee” added)?Note also that, in addition to the discretionary “resort fee” that Hotel Joaquin charge, the city of Laguna Beach has a very high “Transient Occupancy Tax” ($89/night in our case), and then some even further taxes will be addedI sent them a message detailing roughly what is stated above, but it has now been 4 days and they have not responded – this should tell you a thing or two as wellI have no doubt the pandemic was hard for them, but there is no parity between the prices they charge and the service level they provide It is still very much a roadside motel (as stated on their website regarding their humble beginnings), although packaged better

This was our first time staying at Montague Laguna Beach and will definitely not be our last We had an amazing experience The staff goes above and beyond with absolutely everything from valet, to the restaurant, front desk, the spa, pool attendants, and room attendants

Everyone here makes it their mission to provide a wonderful customer experience We ended up extending a day because we didn’t want to leave The grounds are well kept and you can see they take pride in all areas of the property Their private beach is stunning and just a short walk from the rooms I’m already looking forward to our next trip here

Where do I start? First and foremost, this is the best customer service experience I’ve had since moving to California 5 years ago No age or racial bias that my partner and I have experienced in the past at resorts, just kindness, patience, and attention to detail The view is breathtaking, peaceful, and colorful

The beaches are clean and not overpopulated The rooms are clean and meticulously designed, and the tech & COVID friendly way they have their menus the remote set up is pretty innovative The concierge knows what they’re doing and will make whatever accommodations happen In love with this place; will be absolutely returning

We spent 4 nights at the Montage The place was wonderful, clean and relaxing pace It was a perfect quiet vacation that we wanted

The room was clean and it smelled good We appreciated the little things They had a lady that came out with different animals at the pool The day we found out about her, she had a hawk that scared away some birds They also had live music on the pool and it was really nice The beach was almost empty and the place feels really high end The food was also great The staff was kind and nice and the valet would get our cars out very fast We never had to wait long on anything Had a great time and will come back soon

I liked this hotel very much It’s a throwback to the old days of Laguna Beach and has some quirky features, like a pool out by the sidewalk (enclosed in glass) and murals painted on the walls outside The views are fantastic and the staff was very friendly and helpful

It is due for a renovation — peeling paint on the railings, etc — and the manager told me that they are about to do a full redo of the place (including adding a restaurant) This hotel is NOT fancy, so if you want fancy, stay somewhere else If you want comfy, convenient, and reasonably priced, it’s great

Sheri Harrington

Location: 5 stars! Quality per price point: 5 stars! We only had 2 issues… First, our room was never serviced in the 5 nights we stayed We would have to go to the front desk to request fresh towels House keeping never stepped foot inside of our room, even though we displayed the “room service requested” sign daily

After 4 days I stopped by the front desk and asked if we could get our room serviced since we were going to be gone all day When we got home at 11:00 that night still nothing I went to the front desk and, very nicely, let them know of the situation Which leads us to issue number 2… Juanita She was VERY dismissive and patronizing and never once offered an apology or an explanation Would I stay there again? Yes! Would I be prepared to clean by own room? Yes! I would also avoid Juanita

Austin Griffith

Good: The location is amazing It’s right in the middle of Laguna Beach, so you have options to go north or south for food, shopping and beaches There’s also beach access directly from the back of the property, which once again is very convenient

The staff was always extremely friendly and accommodatingBad: First off, I had no idea that my King Suite was going to be in another building down the street from the main hotel Laguna Riviera (it was the Seven Four One) In a way, that was a plus because it was extremely private, but there were a few downsides though First, there weren’t any staff stationed at the other property Any time I needed something (like turning on the fire pit), I would have to walk up the street and ask because there also weren’t phones in the rooms either Speaking of lacking technology, there wasn’t a TV in the room Can you believe it? No TV! I guess the property is trying to be a little less technology centric, but a TV should be a MUST in a hotel room If you they were trying to be less technology focused, why offer WiFi then? This was extremely annoying for my partner and I We probably won’t stay here again because of what it’s lacking, which is unfortunate because of the great location

Capri Laguna is the best!!!!I was looking for a nice hotel for my husbands birthday vacation and came across Capri Laguna It had great reviews and was for a great price We checked in as a family of five

We had 2 adults and 3 children We got it to the room and it was so clean and cozy We were looking over the pool so it was a nice view Right out our room was the top deck that overlooks the entire ocean It had nice patio furniture to sit down and enjoy the view The pool was heated and they have nice clean towels for the pool and beachThe beach was amazing !!! They had beach umbrellas and chairs out for the guest and also someone who worked there was going around and bringing coffee and bottles of water for us which was very nice In the mornings they have a complementary breakfast which was great for us being a family We are e breakfast out on the deck over looking to beach It was so peaceful and really was a great experienceThe staff were so friendly and made us feel at home, thank you Capri Laguna for such a beautiful family experience You truly made my husbands birthday vacation great!!!This is our new beach vacation spotVery family oriented and much appreciated

Rooms are clean and nice for the price, views are amazing and access to the beach from the hotel! There are 2 EV chargers nearby that are fairly cheap if you own an EV Overall stay was very nice, was comfortable Shower head was a little old and rusted so that could have been updated

Other than that, the views were great, there’s a complimentary breakfast in the mornings, and a very nice area, definitely recommend!

Very nice facility Rooms were beautiful and price was right Food was great but would like to see a little more variety between the different restaurants

Wonderful if you intend to stay on resort – but nothing to walk to off of the resort (Everything was a cab ride away) Sunset views from the great lawn were phenomenal Good mix of families, couples, and convention travellers

Sage Wheeler

This is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed The staff was attentive and accommodating, the grounds were gorgeous, the pools were warm and very clean, the room was comfortable It felt fancy, but not opulent, which I really like

The restaurants were all quite good, but very expensive This is definitely not a place for a family on a tight budget, but we did feel like everything was well worth it It really seems to capture the So-Cal vibe and made me fantasize about leaving Seattle for good

Candy Merrill

This resort far exceeded our expectations We came with 3 generations for a family vacation Service was top drawer! We can’t express enough how perfect and relaxing it was

The Beach Club – your private Waldorf Astoria beach was incredible You don’t have to lift a finger Great dining, beach services, activities and more Pool was wonderful with great views of the ocean The entire staff made you feel as though you were the only guests The service in EVERY area was OUTSTANDING We actually met quite a few other guests who were repeaters That’s the real testimonyTons of other things to do close by (including Disneyland), but there’s not much reason to leave the resort Guest Tip… stay here and be sure to make lunch and dinner reservations at the Monarch Bay Beach Club Heaven!!We will be back!

Our trip got off to a rough start Our room was not ready when they said it would be and the front desk staff were quite rude about it The manager did make amends for that

Our room was spacious with older furnishings The hotel location was ideal for us with great views We got the room that was advertised and enjoyed having a semi-private outdoor area with a decent view It is an older hotel so do not expect modern luxury This has more of a quaint, romantic inn feel The wine & cheese reception, and included breakfast are nice amenities We brought our dog and there were bowls for him in the room, also a nice touch I took off 1 star for the front desk staff Unfortunately they were not friendly and inviting in general for a hotel this size Undecided if we’d stay here again When you pay over $300 / night you expect excellent service and hospitality but we do appreciate management’s prompt response and compensation

My wife and I have gone by this place for years, dreaming of spending a few nights right on the water So, when we walked in one day and made a reservation we decided to treat ourselves to the tower room on the third floor We were really excited about the idea of space and privacy- things that our little apartment does not afford us

However, when we checked in, it turns out that when we made our reservation IN PERSON, they mistakenly booked us for the first floor It doesn’t seem that bad at first until you realize there is a public seating area right outside your room If I wanted to be shut in to maintain my privacy, I would have just stayed home

We are staying 3 nights for my mom’s birthday in the most elegant room#101 where we have a covered patio and stayed out late playing Rummikub I can smell the fresh clean ocean air out there with coffee early in early calm morning and barely hear cars among the birds surrounding us—a lovely rug to do Yoga on indeed The staff is very kind

And the inn is close enough to San Diego Zoo Safari Animal Park and Legoland The food at the Sea and Wind Restaurant at the inner harbor (a 5 minute drive down the cliff) was tasty with a Hawaiian flair The beach is also a short drive Once you check out, you’ll miss the fresh baked cookies and perfect chef’s choice breakfast brought to your room (#101…) if you choose not to make new friends in the open dining room or veranda Our room has a sunken living room (caution-3 steps down with railing) a large bathroom, and a very cold fridge which came in handy Check out the Gosby House Inn, Monterey So far, Dana Point is my favorite A lovely experience Cheers!!Happy Birthday Mom🥳

Pros: Great location, beautiful venue (roof top), affordable, staff were beyond kind / gracious / helpful I celebrated a wedding here and loved everything except the roomCons: Rooms were small, ocean view was blocked by cables / electrical wire

No chair for ocean view window Nail sticking out of bed head board Mold growing on bathroom walls Small fridge that didn’t work No coffee maker available upon request They didn’t allow us to have early check in and made us wait until 4 pm for check in Despite this the room seemed very dirty other than the bedding changed

Maia Aman

Wonderful place to stay! Historic and quaint charm with laid-back vibe Staff were very friendly and everything was clean The location is amazing as it’s just steps from the beach with lots of dining and shops around

They have a coffee bar with pastries for breakfast in the morning and you can enjoy their rooftop with great ocean views

Mike Girardin

I have stayed at Casa Del Camino many times for both work and pleasure It’s a nice little hotel, with cozy rooms, friendly staff, and a good breakfast It’s close to many shops, the beach, and restaurants

Despite it’s proximity to the main street, it’s also relatively quiet Some of the rooms may be a little small for families, but for couples, it is idealThere’s a reason I keep going back I highly recommend

Cannot recommend coming here enough! Every member of staff was extremely friendly and made it a priority to greet us Natalie at the front desk was super sweet! We received a complimentary sangria upon arrival and breakfast in the morning Worth mentioning that the blackened chicken tacos were AMAZING! We had them for lunch and dinner because they were that good! If you get a chance checkout the pool and the hidden sunset overlook

So glad we chose to stay here and hopefully we’ll get the chance to come back! 🤍

I cannot say enough great things about Casa Laguna My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here If you’re looking for a unique, quaint, quiet, boutique, private resort feel, and a place with some history & character, Casa Laguna is for you

One of its most unique features is it feels as though you’re in a big garden – the property is covered in beautiful flowers, trees, and other shrubbery The staff provided exceptional service The food was incredible, especially the burger and chicken tacos 10 minute walk to Victoria Beach Short trolley ride to the main part of town Towels, chairs, and umbrella for beach included Breakfast included We would recommend Casa Laguna to anyone One of our favorite places we’ve stayed while on vacation anywhere

Sheree Cloer

This place is a hidden gem Driving past it on coast highway I never would have known how beautiful the property is Much of the historic building has been preserved but also upgraded to modern amenities in the rooms

I loved walking slowly through the grounds because of the attention and care given to landscaping with native and exotic plants- everywhere I turned was another sight to enjoy, along with seating areas that are so inviting Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and hospitable Complimentary breakfast options are delicious and made to order

We stayed 2 nights in room 114 and it was so fun The front desk staff ladies and gentlemen were absolutely great We were treated like family

There is wine at 5pm and cookies at 6pm What a great time We had to leave in a hurry for San Diego and could not thank the team properly Thank you so much to the team! This is highly recommended for all to stayThanks

Jessie Clewell

Out of all the places we stayed on our trip to California this was bay far the best Nice smelling lobby with a chess board and free wine from 5-6pm The rooms were clean and bright and ours had a private patio area

The cozy pool hot tub and fire pit was a great spot to relax Just a quick walk to the beach and another short walk to lots of restaurants shopping and other beaches and museums Will be back again with our kids next time

David Lyman

I’d give it more stars if I could First the great:-The most comfortable beds in a hotel EVER You just sink in and crash

-They offer free wine at 5pm and hot and fresh cookies at 6pm-Free covered parking-The attention to detail in everything they do is so refreshing-Hot tub and pool are great-Balcony off of room is cozy and inviting to listen to the waves crash-The morning coffee and teas are great to take down to the waters edge in the mornings-The staff was so kindThe only things that could have been better is:-The doors and windows don’t block sound that great so if there’s someone walking in the courtyard and they’re talking you’ll hear it inside-The big beach is actually down the road to the south Down the Jill from the beach house is waterfront but it’s rocky So swimming there could be dangerous But it is beautiful and they sounds of the waves crashing onto the rocks are amazingBoth of those are so minor that I wasn’t even sure I should mention them We loved our stay here We only booked for two nights and then headed to Vegas for two nights We wish we would have just stayed here for all four nights We loved it here

This is a great hotel that touches the water in Laguna Beach The tower rooms on the top floor are the best views in my opinion Not a lot of the rooms have air conditioning but they give lots of fans and being on the sand can be breezy so it’s perfect

Great location and delicious coffee in the hotel The restaurant and bar also have great sights but get reservations And the pool can be a fight for the best seats that face the water, so if you want prime seats, get there early

Sara Samie

A few weeks ago my husband and I decided to do a staycation at Surf and Sand When we arrived the entire staff was very welcoming Lisa checked us in and we told her the purpose of our vacation

She really went out of her way to make sure our stay was memorable She went above and beyond to accommodate us and get us the best room (which was a beautiful upgraded room) If that wasn’t enough they also sent over a bottle of wine and chocolate as they knew how important this time was for us Nicky, who was also at the front desk, checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were doing and that we were enjoying our stay One of the best experiences we had by far!!! This will be our go to place because the property is so beautiful and the staff is very attentive and do their best to make your stay amazing

Tracy Brunetti

This hotel is absolutely amazing I had a client residing at the hotel and wanted to do something nice for he and his wife The Concierge, Sandra, and Michael at the front desk, both strategize together to help me quickly plan a wonderful gift for my client

They both stayed late and went well out of their way to assist me and I cannot thank them enough! These two employees exemplify customer service Since I work in a customer service centric industry, multi family, I wanted to commend them both for going out of their way and providing the superior service! Thank you again for all your help to make my clients stay even better! Hats off to Sandra and Michael!
