This is not family friendly or as advertised We stayed in June Staff was nice

The playground was sparse to say the least The shower house had one usable toilet (the 2nd toilet appeared to have a melted exhaust fan that caught on fire above it then fell in to the toilet and burned more) 2 showers but no hot water And there were no lights in the bathroom so we had to take headlamps The pool saved the trip, barely, and it was cloudy and caused both of our kids faces to get these odd dry patches, and they swim regularly in other poolsThere are no grassy areas to play, just overgrown areas and rocksSome sights offered to us were split in half by the road or just a slightly wider spot in the roadWe couldn’t drain our black tank because of the placement of the sewer The water spigot seemed very loose The water had a strong sulfer smell, we had to bleach our lines at home to get rid of the smell in our linesWould not recommend to anyone staying to go trout fishing, especially if you have kids Very disappointing

We came here in June of 2022 this place has very friendly staff but the place is very outdated be warned it does not look like what the pictures show online Friday night we had no electricity the maintenance man had came and said there was nothing else he could do after changing the fuse more than once when we were put at a site that was a 20 amp when we booked a 30 therefor we went to move the next day to a new spot they switched the fuse one to many times on the other site and blew the breaker in the camper had to go get a knew one then there was a a power outage Saturday Night Noted it was at least 100 out Saturday day

I literally grew up in this campground My family began parking permanently in the 70’s The current owners are the 4th owners

Each owner has had their good and bad points The current owner has cleaned it up considerably They are slowly making improvements to the sewer and electric installed in the 60’s The pool maintenance needs to be improved but you will find those of us who have weathered the changes to be friendly and family oriented tenants There is no campground with a better location for fishing Bennett Spring

Moved here in April and absolutely love it Much better than where we were before You get used to the interstate noise pretty quickly and don’t even really notice it anymore

We picked this place because there are plenty of activities and things to do with our family and grandchildren when they come to visit The pool is kept very clean, campground is kept clean Level lots and we’ll maintained gravel roads and lotss The people here are amazing Never any drama etc

Lauren Armstrong

This was an OK stop for one night, but most of the sites had a serious slant to them, making it difficult to get our rig level Management was nice about moving us to a more level spot, but we’d have been stuck on an incline if the level site had been occupied As an aside, we were told we’d have a lakeside lot, but we’re grateful we weren’t put on one when we arrived

They were among the most uneven sites in the campground

The amenities are older but clean Not many places that are this cheap have things like microwaves and minifridges like this one does Right on the interstate making it easy to get back on the road as well as being between a gas station and a restaurant

The owner Chris was very friendly and helpful, he went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed I’ve stayed in some dirt cheep places Usually they tend to be pretty sketchy but Budget Inn was cheap, comfortable and clean Thanks again Chris, next time I’m out that way I’ll be staying here again

We stay at several different locations throughout the year and I will say Larry’s is the CLEANEST I believe we have ever stayed in!! Had I known the cleanliness we truly would have brought food to utilize the kitchen more!!! All the staff is so friendly, and easy to get along with!! Price is reasonable, close enough to town, yet close to the areas attractions, as well!!! We would definitely stay at Larry’s again!!

Stayed in Unit 22 Couch is a hide-a-bed, so you could sleep 4 (could be an additional fee for more than 2 occupancy) Paid $330 for 3 nights, including nightly pet fee

Very affordable! Kitchen/living separate from bdrm, with bathroom in-between Older motel, but updated, as you can see from photos Very homey It was quiet and I really enjoyed my stay Office was very responsive and helpful Only thing I would say is grocery shop on your way if you’re on a tight sched Takes a little bit to get places But, liked stopping at the local places to get what I needed

Wonderful cabin for a fair price! I absolutely love the atmosphere here It’s so quiet and peaceful The cabin itself is absolutely gorgeous

It has a very homey feel to it instead of looking like a low budget hotel room Extremely convenient that it’s fully furnished with a fully operational kitchen We stayed in Walnut cabin and loved the jacuzzi and the lofted bedroom upstairs Definitely will be back here!

Tara Bray

We stayed at River Wood Resort for the first time on Tuesday and Wednesday night (6/15 & 6/16) We had the Sycamore cabin Everything was fabulous! The bed was very comfortable, the cabin was spacious and well provided

Everything was very clean The view from the deck was beautiful We really liked that the cabin was secluded and set back from the road It was very peaceful and we couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable place to stay The bathroom was nice and big, and the shower was awesomevery good pressure and lots of hot water We can’t wait to stay at River Wood Resort again The price was very reasonable for such a lovely cabin The cabin also had a very nice Jacuzzi

Shuanna Green

At Riverwood Resort the owners Stan and Dee Ann are extremely personable and helpful We have been staying several times a season for many years now We bring the whole family and stay in the 3 or 4 bedroom cabins and my husband and I sneak off and stay in there romantic cottages

The cabins and cottages are always very clean The beds are large and comfortable The full kitchen has everything you might need You also have a deck off the back with a gas grill The rooms are spacious and decorated nicely Oh and They have ceiling fans in all rooms and a jacuzzi in each cabin and cottage When you’re not enjoying floating you can run over To Bennett to fish In the evening you can enjoy cable before bed Wonderful place, we will not stay anywhere else Prices are great and some cabins are pet friendly

If your wanting quiet, not the place Lots of running and loud talking Bathroom was not clean

Tub was covered in some kind of dirt and looked like someone peed in it Tile is broke above tub so maybe it was chunks of the tile in tub Customer service was okay Bed was okay Pool was clean and decent size Perfect for one family Definitely “light” breakfast Small pancakes and juice Overall, room was decent

The hotel advertises pet friendliness I book a room there months ago so I could come into the area and attend a concert There is even a sign at checkout reminding visitors to sign the pet waiver

I asked about it My room was the removed from me with the reason that owners have newly carpeted room and have instructed not to allow pets Again, I had this reservation for months, and I remember it being difficult to find a pet friendly hotel in this rural area I did not have time to try to find a new hotel on my phone, and the person at the desk certainly did not help me find an alternative I ended up leaving my little dog in the car during the hours of the concert and driving home, approximately 4 hours away, after the concert, arriving around 2 am The hotel’s decision not only contradicted its stated policy but caused unnecessary extra risk of a dog in a hot car and late night driving Thankfully, we are okay But if you are expecting this hotel to be a pet friendly, I am rating as one star to get your attention that it is not

The smoking room I’d first gotten (first visit) had clean towels & linen However the floors needed vacuumed better & bathroom floors swept better Otherwise not too loud

Could get the rest I needed & the bed was comfortable Fridge made clunky noise A/C had no air vent distributors & looked in need of asthetic repairs but worked alrightThe non smoking room (2nd visit, a week later) was mostly nicer Especially the a/c unit The bed wasn’t very comfortable, though Had a hard time trying to rest Fridge worked great & no noises Tub & toilet were clean but floors needed vacuuming Mostly seems like they probably need new vacuums but staff is friendly & helpful

We go here yearly for a family float trip The whole place is super kid friendly they have a giant slip and slide available for a $10 day pass (it’s totally worth it!) The playground is well kept and they provide bikes that your kids can borrow They have great swimming spots! All of the people that work here are great and treat you like family!

Sasha Stewart

We had a great float trip! We rented 2 canoes for pur family of 4 as the kids haven’t been on kayaks on their own yet It was $100+ kids under 8 must wear a life jacket at all times on the water The river was gorgeous, blue and best of all cool and refreshing

We caught crawdads, saw fish, snakes and ducks! The trip is about 4 miles and it took us about 35 hours but we stopped several times We found a spot with a rope swing with water deep enough to enjoy When we got back the kids were dying to play on the giant slip and slide but it was $10 per person which isn’t bad if it is all day but we didn’t partake There is a bus ride to take you upstream to float down which I prefer vs Floating down and bussing back after a long day They had a truck with a trailer waiting at the water to take you to your car when you are done They have a food bus with way waaaay overpriced food Burger was $10, grill cheese $4, French fries $4 and corn dog $350 That’s just what we ordered Food was greasy and hit the spot after a day on the water Fries were fresh cut and yummy The kids playground was definitely dated but they didn’t care and had a good time

The new girl at the counter was very pleasant & the hotel is very clean However, we did get up to our rooms to find them dirty Within a half hour of waiting in the lobby the rooms were flipped & we got in and settled – not the worst thing

One of the beds in one of the rooms we rented is broken, though if you sit on the edge the whole thing tips The pool is clean & we’re looking forward to the free breakfast Paid $300 for 2 rooms Kids are happy Glad there’s free ice for our cooler tomorrow Wouldnt be my first pick in the future, but also wouldn’t be somewhere I’d go out of my way to avoid

Front desk, late check-in person, Andy was a hoot! Clean room, comfortable bed, and my wife enjoyed the workout room Easy access off of the freeway but a little longer trip to get back on The desk chair was broken and the shower was a drooler

the room was overpriced for booking direct with the location It was listed cheaper on the web @ $146 per night We were charged $186 per night which is a little steep for Lebanon, Missouri and for what is there

Margarita Kapustina

Don’t stay at this place!! I had ordered a room in advance from booking and payed for it When we arrived at the hotel they said they had no vacancies even though I had ordered and payed in advance!! We had arrived late, we have 3 toddlers and we weren’t even the only ones with this problem! There were other people with small children who had payed in advance that were told the same thing!! Turns out they had rooms but they hadn’t been cleaned yet! They finally got someone to come out and clean after numerous calls to management who were very hard to reach because it was late! We waited for an hour until they cleaned the rooms for us and other people and when we finally got our room we were told that someone had made a mistake and already signed us in before we had arrived! Turns out we had waited for an hour for no reason with small children!! A couple days after we left I get charged AGAIN for that room even though I had already payed for it!! Very frustrated with this whole situation!! We will not be coming back to this place and we strongly recommend avoiding it!!

Hotel was very clean and looked newBest of all was the friendly and courteous staff Good customer service should be recognized

Free breakfast was very good They have a pancake maker and the biscuits were soft and freshIt’s also easy to park a UHaul with a trailer here

Terrible Old and tired They use so much deodorizer in the rooms that it is hard to breathe

It gave my Wife a rash U cannot open the windows Breakfast is supposed to go until 9:30 By 9:10 the staff person quit bringing out food and would give anyone coming into the breakfast area the stink eye She was seriously put out that people wanted breakfast after 9:15 We told the front desk manager that people that people were leaving without food (because there wasn’t any) She came out and talked to the kitchen person, then came out and offered packaged rolls! OK, maybe the kitchen person had an appointment or something important to get to Nope At 9:29 she was in a car in the parking lot smoking a cigarette! Avoid this place

Jeph Me

Unlike most holiday inns this one does not provide coin laundry, they recommend I go to Hampton Inn or super 8 to do my laundry so I’m just going to check out and stay at Hampton instead They clearly don’t want guests staying longer then a couple days since they couldn’t spare 50sq ft of space to put in a single set of washer and dryer for their most loyal guests who stay long term This is a deal breaker for any true road warrior who works and lives on the road

I will note this in our internal company file so my colleagues will know not to stay here if they want to have clean cloths for work
