I just had my wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill and we set up our room block at the Groton Inn The location and proximity to the venue is perfect but this wound up being the right call for 100 other reasons as well The hotel and rooms are beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating

I can’t say how much I appreciate everything they did to help us out with our wedding weekend during a blizzard The hot breakfast included with our stay was also delicious and so much better than I ever expected from a hotel breakfast!

Kaylee Devincent

This inn is adorable and spacious!! I got married 2/4/22 the day of the freezing rain, sleet and snow, and they were so accommodating to some of my friends that needed to spend the night there last minute! The breakfast was delicious with a large array of options including some gluten-free! My husband and I are still in awe from the heated floors in the bathroom!! After a night of dancing we both stood there in heaven!! The bridal suite was huge!! I had a bridal party if 8 plus hair and makeup artist and family members popping in the room and it was not too small! They were kind enough to bring extra chairs to my room the night before!! We will definitely be back!! Thanks so much!

Cate Harty

Our group reserved the entire Inn for a weekend wedding event Everything was just perfect, from check-in to the comfortable public spaces to hang out, from the great service and upbeat energy from the front desk, Inn staff, servers and bartenders to the absolutely delicious food The event manager was easy to work with, always available to talk, paid attention to all the details and facilitated a magnificent weekend! Room were spacious and comfortable; the guests never stopped comparing who had better rooms because they were all great

All around great vibes We literally wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Overpriced Poor service Rude/strange staff

Booked a Saturday for my kid’s sports tournament Realized due to schedule needed Friday night also They gouged me for the Friday night Once there, check in staff clueless Called for a restaurant menu because not in room or online Desk said menu should be in the room and they would bring one up Phone rings it’s the bar saying they are not bringing one up Went down to order food-$20 and change bill and the rude “bartender” takes $30 and never brings the change, forcing me to ask for it Sorry not tipping rude staff 975 on a 20 bill On Saturday get back to room and no room service for my 250 plus tax night stay Desk tells me you have to request it Breakfast not included, overpriced Starbucks with limited options Oh and mattress sags bad Plenty of other hotel choices locally -skip this place…

Visiting from Temecula California for a work trip Rooms are clean and quiet The people working the front desk super friendly and Jackie at the bar make an excellent Cesar salad

The location is sort of an island as you can’t walk to any restaurant’s from here You’ll need a ride to get to anything I would look forward to staying again if I return to area

LaDale Walker

I thought that breakfast was included, but it’s Starbucks a la carte Also, the TV goes out in the rain I basically had a blue screen with “no signal” written across it while it rained for over an hour

Not worth the money and the location is kind of secluded For the price, you can pay to stay at another Marriott with better amenities

Did not enjoy my stay Single elevator that is in use by the staff most of the time I was on the 4th floor and had to use the stairs more then I’d like especially since I had to carry things for work

I was told by reception on arrival that the pool closes at 8 each day Then on my 3rd day suddenly the pool was closed by 7 The hours weren’t posted The reception rudely said it’s on the paperwork you signed while signing it You have to cross a parking lot to get to the pool Breakfast was not good Coffee was terrible Some staff were friendly but others demonstrated true lack of care for guests and their job I have to come back again for Business and will be finding a different hotel

Very clean Great location with the highway, gas, food and being proximate to Lowell, Andover surrounding towns I am a Marriott guy and can get a room for a reasonable number of points

But, big but, it seemed to me that there were a lot of longer term resident families there Also we were there when a basketball tournament was in the area and they were all staying here So that meant loud yelling and running kids outside our window at 11, 12, 1 and 2AM Basketballs being dribbled until the wee hours of the morning Hoopties crusing through with the bass cranked up to “eleven” so my window rattled, people honking their horns, rolling out of their cars to laughter and stomping their way to their rooms above us Kids just wandering around the property looking in car windows I am all about a good time but there is also such a thing as courtesy and respect for others Most of the residents the night we were there didn’t know the meaning of the words Management needs to have security walking the grounds and just get it all under control

Tj Rose

First and foremost, the “concierge” was dead asleep behind the counter when we arrived and did not seem too thrilled we woke him up! Not a huge deal to us but it set the tone for the stay for sure! We walk into our room and the first thing my wife and son see is a cockroach running across the the electric burners! So at that point we either go down to angry guy and request a new room most likely being put in something worse or waste precious sleeping time searching our entire room! We stripped the room and searched every inch! Found one more! For what they charged we expected a lot better!!! Do yourself a favor and book with the Fairfield Inn as we were going to and immediately regretted not doing! We’ve stayed in many hotels before and this by far was the worst! Aside from the really small “suite”, roaches, loud and unrestricted neighbors who were never checked in on even at 3am while they partied very loudly, people smoking at the pool and leaving their kids to do as they wish (nobody from the hotel ever came to the pool btw) and other issues the breakfast was decent lol! I voiced my concerns to them and was ignored having never received a response at all! Not what you would expect from a Marriott hotel!!!

I read reviews on this hotel after I had already booked and was not looking forward to my stay So many negative reviews and was very surprised walking into the lobby Wasn’t at all like ppl had described

This hotel was great ! Nice, clean, inviting etc Staff was extremely friendly and easy to speak too The rooms were awesome n spacious Beds were comfortable, especially the pillows There was a sofa in the room with 2 small round tables that were perfect to sit at and eat/relax at It had a stand up shower which I like way more then a tub I am the kind of person who gets uncomfortable with hotels and germs etc So I bring my own pillowcases, blankets and such but be had forgotten everything except my pillowcases and was relieved at how clean the sheets and blankets were Even when I cleaned all the surfaces myself with Lysol wipes they were already clean Usually I find stuff I rather not while doing this Overall I would return and recommend anyone staying here I gave 4 stats only bc I believe every place can always improve Oh and FREE breakfast is always nice when staying at a hotel

Tomek F

Room clean, bed comfortable Shower instead of tub was nice I was surprised by the lack of room service

Apparently they clean the rooms on request Breakfast was just okThere was a smell of marijuana in the hallway Some hotel guest didn’t seem to follow the rules

Peck Family

Just ok Upon check in I was asked if I wanted housekeeping I answered yes

When I can back to my room the following night housekeeping never came I asked the gal at the front desk about it and she said I was on the schedule for the following day Fine So the next morning on my way out I asked again to make sure I was getting housekeeping that day A different girl stayed no, I was not in the schedule for cleaning I asked to be added considering I have been asking since check in and she said no i could only get towels Are you kidding? Aside from the lack of customer service, the room was not that clean when I checked in and it felt like there was moisture in the room It’s a really dated hotel The poolIs meh Don’t get fooled by all the nice pictures… it’s not that nice!

We booked this hotel because we got a good rate on it through Hopper Pretty much have to say the same as everyone else It’s very outdated

But that’s not necessarily a downside for us My complaint is that the website mentions restaurants/breakfast but they aren’t actually functioning anymore So that sucked Second, the beds were awful We had a room with 2 doubles Not comfortable at all The staff was friendly though I didn’t run into the same problems some others have Check in and out was easy The pool was open There aren’t towels in the pool area but that’s not an issue because we always bring our own anywayBottom line- this wouldn’t be my first choice if I’m ever in the area again but I would stay if I was in a pinch

Katie קשת

This hotel really exceeded my expectations My husband and I arrived from the airport and took a long uber to this hotel We saw this hotel from an app called Hotel Tonight and booked two nights

We walked into our room and felt like it was old and outdated We asked the front desk if they could upgrade the room for us and they did it without any issues We walked into the bigger room with the King bed and it was much nicer They were very nice and accommodating We swam in the warm pool, which was beautiful (I wish the jacuzzi was full of water and working, but we can’t have it all, right?) Overall, great experience and I would stay here again THANK YOU!

Lydia Parlee

I had a great check in The person that checked me in was friendly Once I got the keys I was confused

They were real keys like if you were opening your door to your home I proceed to go to the room instantly I smell a bad odor of mildew and cigarettes I open the door to my room same smell Carpets were horrible curtains were yellow I decide to try pool no towels and pool was just not what we thought it was going to be I literally checked in and checked out within an hour

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip My room was relatively modern looking and comfortable If you are sensitive to noise like I am, this hotel is a good option for you

My room was very quiet, no noise from the roads around Even the AC runs quietly which I liked a lot The hotel restaurant had live music on Wednesday night The continental breakfast is served from 6:30-9am and is $13 per person Options are very limited for breakfast though and could be improved Overall for a business traveler it is a good enough option

I would never ever book here again I do not suggest anyone should It is highly unsafe for out-of-towners

I booked a 2 night stay and on the second night, my room got broken into and luggage was searched I was not in my room when the event took place but found out once I got back around 2am My room door was wide open once I got back Fortunately, it was a short stay and nothing valuable was packed and I had all of my jewelry with me at the time It took place some time after 930pm There should be no reason for cleaning service after 930pm so I truly feel as if I was targeted and it was a planned ” robbery ” They have got to do better to keeping their guest safe and the last thing their guest should ever worry about is their safety I would say im happy I was safe the 1st night and they were kind enough to refund my money but its a little traumatizing to know something bad could have taken place on the 2nd night

Dee Gee

This Best Western is so spectacular, I can’t say enough good things about it I am a picky guest and I’ve stayed at numerous hotels in my life I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for five years as well, so I have very high expectations for guest courtesy and customer service

Brian, the general manger, went above and beyond for me I wasn’t satisfied with my room and he personally made sure that I was assigned to a room of my liking He is kind, caring, sincerely empathetic, and efficient He is a great asset to the franchise and they should be proud to have someone like him representing them Evan at the front desk is wonderful as well He is friendly, sincere, professional, and efficient He is knowledgeable about the hotel and the area and answered all of my questions while being the charming, friendly soul that he is This is a great place to stay because great people work here It is clean, friendly, and affordable What more could you ask for??

Kelly Kube

I did not have a good experience Here are some of the reasons why:-The front entrance was packed with people smoking cigarettes all hours of the day-The hotel smelled like cigarettesThe room was grimey, especially the bathroom

– There was a lot of suspicious vehicle traffic happening in the parking lotAll and all, this hotel was dirty and smelled I would never stay here again

The location of the hotel is great You are 15 min from the Salem NH mall area and 20 min from the Lowell area They have a decent breakfast with eggs, sausage, assorted breads and muffins, cereal, hot oatmeal, yogurt, and a waffle maker

The indoor pool was busy as it was a hot weekend The rooms are plenty spacious but show their age Everything is carpeted so if you have allergies, beware! Our ac unit didn’t work great We had it set as low as it would go (66) and when we returned from a scorching day on the softball field it was 74 in the room It’s also a loud unit We could hear the people above us which was annoying The bathtub had a super slow drain which left the tub dirty after washing all the infield dirt off of us Just a few little things that make it an overall ok experience

Thomas Martin

This place was very nice Larger than usual hotel rooms, good amenities I took off one star for the room because mine smelled off

They had a carpet cleaning company in my room that day, and it probably just needed to air out more, but it was still something to manage I opened the window to air it out and it was tolerable after about 2 hours

Brandon Fazzino

I was on a business trip up here for a few days, and my company made reservations for us at this hotel The front desk staff were very friendly, the hotel and rooms were clean and the beds were more comfortable than many other hotels I’ve stayed at The prices are also fair

Next time we’re up here we will definitely stay here again Thank you for making us feel welcomed!

The hotel itself is very accommodating having the sports bar connected to the lobby and the location right off the highway I’ve stayed here twice and been on the fourth floor once in a King executive and twice in a suite The suite is amazing, clean, comfortable I never wanna leave the room when I’m there

The hotel is bright and relaxing Only noise I heard was the doors slamming shut from other rooms Other then that the rooms were very quiet and that was the reason for our stay, needed a quiet mental break We did have some issues with a reservation I made via phone and being put in the wrong room which caused me some frustration but the staff did eventually take care of the problem and were apologetic and accommodating Tyler at the front desk was very helpful and nice Would recommend to anyone looking for a clean quiet place to escape that’s local or a place to stay while in town!

Tasha Kates

Crowne Plaza gets the big things right — clean rooms, free parking, nice pool and gym area, lovely front desk staff, great climate control and a good restaurant attached However, they are not good at the little stuff It’s like they took all of the information out of the rooms during COVID and never put it back

There were no channel listings on paper or digitally The cable offering is anemic for children Housekeeping didn’t come once during our four night stay, and the front desk somehow expected I would know to put a load of towels outside our room and call them to have housekeeping come and hand me new towels directly Apparently daily housekeeping will resume today, which is nice, but I thought they would come once during our stay We also booked a room for four that was set up for two or three — three bath towels, two plastic cups, two coffee cups They used to have vending, but now they have an extremely overpriced Marketplace next to the front deskI’m only docking them one star because the overall stay is great, if you can overlook the minor stuff that you would encounter in your hotel stay

Eric Wannemacher

The room was clean and comfortable The bed and pillows allowed me to sleep soundly The air conditioner kept the room extremely comfortable and was quiet enough that it did not disturb my sleep

The included breakfast was a continental style but the food tasted as though it was made from scratch; there is a restaurant on site Room service only checked first thing in the morning; if you’re a late sleeper, your room won’t be serviced Would definitely return!

Every little detail was perfect: the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless It was a good night’s sleep on the bed Noise should be kept to a minimum

The staff was really helpful and polite The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of a complimentary breakfast COVID concerns have led to this restriction That makes sense When you run out of cream cheese one day, you run out of jelly the next Everything is alright if you can live off of yogurt and coffee

Matthew Mattis

Hotel was clean, presentable outside and the staff was friendly Pool was closed, gym was limited (not sure to really call it a gym) and breakfast ran out of food Always hot coffee in the front, front desk did not acknowledge Diamond member, nor did they present the bag (I had to ask for it)

Everything else was Hampton Inn quality, always a nice stay But, definitely fell short of what it normally is

Holly Edney

Booked this hotel through Hotelcom in March 2022 Stay was paid in full at time of booking

When I checked out the front desk person told me there was a problem with my card and charged it again It’s been 3 weeks since my stay I’ve called the hotel twice both; both times was told there was no manager on site Also called corporate customer service All admit there should have been no charge to my card but no one has reversed the charges yet DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

Rooms are decent I was there during the 2 foot snowstorm due to work needing folks close by and able to get to work And they did not plow their parking lot until late Sunday night

The only reason one could get out was because truck drivers were spending the night and they flattened one lane enough to get by That was really bad The Continental breakfast is pretty awful All microwaved and processed food So it was okay for my purpose and I wouldn’t recommend it if I was coming to the area to stay in though Nicer places to stay with much better food options

Malina Coleone

Pools heater was broken so it was freezing They don’t even bother telling you like it was my main reason to go there in the first place Even after covid pool hours still didnt change (same time & only weekends)

My room felt dirty I saw hair everywhere all over my bedding and pillows, it felt like it was never even cleaned I used to love this hotel but not anymore Never going there again Thank you for these last few years though

Most of the time the Hotel seems to be clean yet there’s always situations that never get resolved Things seem to break down and not work Researching the owners “The Jamsan Group” out of Lexington MA seem more content with buying more hotels vs making sure the ones they already own, have what they need to make the existing one’s more efficient

Shortages of towels and linens and removing the outside dumpsters that smell are just some of the reoccurring issues the owners don’t consciously address My gut instinct making money 1st and caring about their patrons less

This hotel has all of the amenities one might expect, including an indoor pool surrounded by overlooking balconies in a glass-covered pavilion There is even a charming room near the door with a fireplace and comfortable cozy seating Everything was clean and the service was fine

My only complaint is that the lady at the desk was dressed in gaudy sports team attire rather than a hotel uniform It made it difficult to distinguish her from guests and as she was the face of the hotel upon entering, set a strange tone for the ambiance of the hotel Despite her appearance, her service was excellent She even called me to let me know when my room was available for early check-in I was also glad that masks weren’t enforced I didn’t need it, but when I turned on the television to try to Chromecast to it, it was tuned to static It might be great to have it tuned to some transmission

Amanda Attaei

I really liked this place! It was so nice and the staff was so friendly I needed to travel with my golden retriever, which can be stressful sometimes when so many hotels don’t allow dogs (or when the ones that do end up being dirty) It was not stressful at all and my room was very clean :)My favorite place about this hotel though, is the white noise option they have next to the bed

I usually need a fan or something similar to make noise when I fall asleep and this knocked me out 10/10 sleepBreakfast buffet was also amazing Fresh order omelettes and bacon were so yummyWill definitely recommend

Sacia Divison

I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Boston/Woburn Due to the weather, we booked a room for the weekend that was in close proximity to my job ( essential employee) Laura at the front desk was delightful and eager to help! She was extremely accommodating and allowed us to check out later Thank you! Overall, my family and I had a great experience and the amenities were great

The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect I will recommend it to my colleagues!

Stayed in room 24 & got an interesting picture on my SLS camera around 2am which lasted about 30 minutes This place did not disappoint Anyone who says they need updating is wrong

This hotel needs to stay the way it is Putting in modern furniture or bathrooms would absolutely take away from its coziness and character! Also, the restaurant is unbelievable! It’s definitely in the top 3 places I have ever eaten at I expected regular bar food there, but I was so wrong! The steak is fabulous! I will be staying there again this weekend and I can’t wait I really love this place! Oh, and it’s very clean as well!

We stopped at the Colonial Inn in Concord to grab a casual meal We had wedge salad that was very fresh, comforting and flavorful chicken pot pie and a traditional fish and chips dinner While nothing here is extra fancy, but it sure did hit the spot after a day of walking around town

The service was attentive and friendly It has that cozy tavern feel with a wood burning fireplace and rustic decor

We stayed in a Prescott Queen room while visiting the National Historic Site nearby It was fascinating to stay in such a historic location and I would highly recommend this inn to allPros: Amazing history, great location, clean, comfortable, updated bathroom, FANTASTIC restaurantCons: The wall AC unit did well with lowering the temperature of the room but it did stay a little humid (with that being said, I am sensitive to heat and it was very tolerable), very small shower (to be expected from a historic inn)
