I wanted to give this place 5 stars, but it was so terribly noisy We were given a room next to the lobby, across from the breakfast area and immediately next to the ice machine and vending machine The property was not full, so there could have been quieter rooms

I tried to go to bed at 10 because I had to get up at 630am for an all day event There was a men’s hockey team partying loudly in the breakfast area across from our room I assumed once it was a little later, the front desk would ask them to stop screaming I finally called the desk at midnight and said there was yelling outside my room and I couldn’t sleep and he responded, “Yeah, there are people hanging out down here” He then did offer to ask them to be quieter Asking them to quiet down before midnight would have been helpful They did quiet down somewhat, but were still loud After they left, the staff spent the rest of the night likely cleaning up after them and loudly pushing furniture in the breakfast area around on the tileAround 4am a couple was at the ice machine outside our door loudly swearing at each otherThe noise continued all night I slept maybe 2 hours total the whole night It was an awful, awful night with a horrible, exhausted day the next day with my 9 hour business eventPros- Our room was clean, staff was nice and we really enjoyed the pool The breakfast the next day was really nice The shower was really nice and newCons- The hot tub was empty and the pillows in the room are the size of throw pillows There were no towel bars in the bathroom to hang your towels or other hooks besides the one on the back of the door

If I could give this hotel 5 negative stars I would The room was clean and the building was nice My issue was with the children of another guest

They were running around the pool and screaming My 3yr old daughter was terrified They were asked to stop and continued to do it They were racing up and down the halls while slamming on room doors until midnight They also made vulgar comments towards my older daughtersThey next morning their behavior continued The front desk said they would talk to them multiple times and nothing changed When we left we had a note on our door with more profanity and even threats if violence toward my family I am sorry disappointed in the staff for not taking care of this effectively We can’t be the only guest that made complaints This was such a disappointment and I will never stay at this hotel again!

travis dunbar

We stay there once a year for my daughters birthday party, have had different rooms and none of which the bathroom doors close gaps around all doors, which is annoying but also whatever They might as well fill the hot tub in with concrete and take it off there advertisement as it has yet to work in the last year if it has, then it keeps breaking The rooms are clean and the beds are so so if you want full size pillows bring your own as they provide you with four fluffy throw pillows

The Restaurant at PM ParkOn a recent road trip, my wife and I stopped for lunch in Clear Lake, Iowa With a great deal of luck, we found this restaurant Actually, they found us

We were looking for it on the grounds of the resort and someone asked us if we needed help She brought us to the restaurant and then served us lunchThere was a good selection of lunch items and also a daily special The special seemed to be very popular with the locals Our meals were excellentWe would stop here next chance we get

Susan Carrott

The Mother’s Day brunch/lunch today was absolutely delicious! The roast beef was perfect and so many great sides They had two other meat selections, several salads, three choices of potatos and green bean casserole They also had several breakfast choices

(I chose lunch) The desserts our table tried were also delicious! The fresh strawberry shortcake was a hit with homemade whipped cream Two thumbs up for this delicious meal!

Vintage hotel but has been kept up well Unexpected stay and got a double queen for $88 (that included tax)Easy to get to and conveniently close to interstate 35

I actually loved the old style room Never see mirrored walls and a window bench in modern places!Check in and out was simple and quick Nice breakfast set up Convenience stores, restaurants, gas, etc within walking distance or a short drive

Stayed here for one night in fMarch 2022 The front desk staff was very friendly The hotel itself needs a bit of TLC

I felt like I couldn’t‘ t trust that my room was totally clean, because it showed so many signs of heavy wear The shower head had two settings- painful or gushing The drain looked pretty gross too The walls all need repainted and are missing paint in lots of places There was a wall to wall mirror in place of a headboard, and it was cracked and held in place with clear tape right over the bed And one of the bath towels had an orange stain on itThat being said, the sheets and bedding looked clean, the ground floor window opened all the way and had a bug screen in place, and looked over a nice open field The hotel is dog friendly (it does add an extra $10 a night to your room to bring your dog), and serves breakfast starting at 6am Typical hotel breakfast- oatmeal, breads, fresh pancakes/waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice Lots of well lit parking spaces, and tucked far enough off the road that I didn’t hear any road noise at night The room also had a nice size fridge, TV, mini coffee maker, window seat, individual heat/AC unit under the window seat, and blackout curtainsIts a step up from a motel, but doesn’t really meet typical Wyndham standards

I’ve stayed here many times over the years when visiting Clear LakeThis place has really declined during the pandemic no working TV (this apparently was on ongoing problem that they were aware of but failed to mention in listing or at check in); toilet was broken; shower was broken; room carpet was dirty; common areas were dirty; breakfast lacked hot protein-very limited selection

When I complained about the TV the manager told me he wasn’t the manager and he would need to talk to someone regarding the tv or the rate Lodging at this interchange is challenging but might be better off with one of the higher priced options at this point

You get what you pay for and at this level this place is about what youd expectStaff is friendly and management seems to care about the facilities with a good continental breakfast and ok-looking poolThe rooms need work, though on par with my low expectations

Sticky stained carpets, dirty (with food mess stuck) office chair and an overall not clean feel Like being in a fast food restaurant right after a family of 5 people finished eatingI just about decided to head back to the Twin Cities at 10pm to avoid sleeping here Dated properties are fine but I felt dirtyThe bed was comfortable though and I didn’t see bugs or anything alarming so that was goodI wish you weren’t relegated to smoking rooms by booking online through other websites but they’re trying to drive their businessOverall it is what it is and worked for a place to lay my head during Ragbrai

Worst customer service ever!!! The front desk guy was rude!!! Had a birthday party there for my kids and he kicked us out of the pool cause he said other people wanted to use it and an hour went by and the pool was empty!!! Got up the next morning and my 7 year old and i had went down for breakfast and she was playing with her party horn at 930 in the morning and she blew it once and he told us we needed to check out and leave!!! Kids also asked to go swimming after breakfast and he told them they couldnt even though checkout wasnt till 11!!! And our tv didnt work in our room!!Very rude and unprofessional i will never go back!!!

We chose the honeymoon suite for our wedding night on 22222 because a date like that absolutely has to be paired with the only Frank Lloyd Wright hotel in the world

It was the perfect place to experience for the occasion After the snow and wind storm we had that day the jacuzzi tub felt amazing The room is spacious and has a very comfortable king bedthe sheets were my favorite The suite has a gorgeous view of central park from the corner ‘tower’ In fact it has so many windows you get a 180· view The best part of all, it was quiet, private and quaint

Nic Matlage

The rooms are small, which is to be expected for a motel designed back in 1910 Not a fan that there is a wine fridge vs mini fridge in room I absolutely love that there is an overhead light since so many hotels do not and that you have complete control over your comfort

The controls for the light honestly took me a while to figure out No ice machine, but mini bags of ice you can takeLocation is wonderful I explored part of their statues and fun architecture after checking in, ate at their bar, then went out to see their Veterans memorial and more of their tour of statues Me and coworker were disappointed in the food and we never got checked on once food was delivered Drink was amazing It was fun to stay there vs The standard Holiday Inn we usually stay at Also helpful to know – we have a 26ft vehicle and they were able to give us a pass to park nearby to ignore the 2hr parking limit

Melissa Page

The beauty and history of this hotel cannot be over statedIt is like exploring a secret chamber back in timeThere are multiple outdoor terraces, great rooms, sitting rooms, original stained glass and tile work throughout

The restoration is so well done, it is seamless from the originalI have to say, Jim who was hosting the front desk last night was a highlight of the tripHe was so knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and the restoration He pointed out amazing facts that we would have surely overlooked on our ownHidden skylights, carpets woven in Egypt, shimmering mortar between the bricks in the ballroom! He was patient with all of our questions and just a fantastic hostAs the last remaining Frank Lloyd Wright designed hotel in the world, Historic Park Hotel is an absolute must see

I travel for work, and stay in hotels a lot It was so nice to be greeted by Kasey after a long day She was very welcoming, but what I appreciate the most was the great explanation of their services

I feel like it is often skipped over, and I don’t worry about it because I am familiar with many, but she shared information I wasn’t aware of – breakfast to go, rewards, etc She made sure I was enrolled in the rewards Also, the room was so quiet – something I don’t find often enough Bed was comfy, and all was good! I asked for her name on my way out because I rarely do reviews, but wanted to make sure she was recognize because I felt she went above and beyond, and it was very much appreciated

Ryan Huffman

Cannot say enough about the staff, they were great Amazing for every single encounterBuilding on the other hand

Old, dated, cards won’t work if you have them anywhere near a cellphone, shower drain is plugged, bathroom door won’t shut, etcStaff made it worth the money, not the building But the room smelt good, it was clean, and it looks like the staff actually care Just fix that old place up

Liv

Pet friendly rooms with access straight from your room to an outdoor area for dogs to go out when they need to Reasonably priced Good breakfast selection

Comfortable pillows, comfortable bedsOnly complaint was the water in the shower never got very warm

The room was quiet and the beds comfortable The rooms were cleanly, service great, and breakfast was good The bathroom doors in the rooms are just a sliding door and that is disturbing to me

The shower door doesn’t close either, and why are heating and air conditioning units so loud? We can make electric cars virtually quiet why not a heating and air conditioning unit?

Dallas St Clair

Stayed the night of March 7th Check in was easy, standard with Hilton Honors hotels Staff was friendly

Unfortunately the laundry bag in closet had odd clear liquid in it, there were 10-12 long dark hairs in the shower (from previous occupant I’m assuming), the breakfast was lackluster, and the coffee maker (in my room) also contained the previous occupants coffee and filter Not what I normally experience from a Hampton, will stay somewhere else in the future

Amanda Conley

My room was dirtyWe found someone else’s food in the fridge, socks, and Vicks by the bedAlso blood on the pillowcase

DisgustingDidn’t discover until we were already in bed for the night or I would have asked for a different room I do not think the sheets were changed for our stay and it was not vacuumedThe pool was nice but the floors were sooo slippery my child fell I have been to many hotel pools and none with such a slick pool areaThe hotel waffles were good but they were out of a lot of breakfast items like juiceSave money and just go stay at one of the cheaper options in the area

We hosted my tea party themed bridal shower at the Larch Pine Inn Bed & Breakfast and it was amazing! Paula was awesome to work with and everyone had a great time We had around 30 women attend and she served two courses The first course included ham salad and cucumber sandwiches along with deviled eggs

And the second course was cake with chocolate dipped strawberries And we each had our own tea pots and selection of tea to choose from We also had a lady from the historical society come and speak It really was a unique experience and I would highly recommend it!

Renee Kessel

I don’t know what was better, the accommodations or the amazing breakfast every morning Paula and Ken were amazing hosts and attended to our every need The place was clean, the most comfortable bed, within walking distance to downtown and restaurants and just a block off the lake

This is worth the drive and Clear Lake is a great place for family vacation or just a weekend retreat Golf course nearby and fishing made this trip the perfect getaway Thanks Paula

We have an extended stay at this hotel while we look for a home to relocate to First, the manager Crystal She’s awesome and kind

Hospitality schools across America should have their students shadow her No joke She’s gone above and beyond with helpfulness without making it look like it hurts We are staying in a suite and it’s huge and very clean The toiletries and other room essentials are great The value is really good for everything we’ve received here

We were in town for a wedding and stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Service was on par with other hotels, but 2 things really set this place a part for us:1) Shower water pressure Hands down, the BEST water pressure I’ve ever experienced in a hotel2) Complimentary breakfast

I had a reservation for one night, I was in room 117 When I got there the carpet was wet and very sticky You need your shoes on as your socks get wet without them

The carpet needs to be replaced, it’s disgusting! My feet got wet when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night Then when I got up the next morning the alarm clock was blinking and the microwave had no time on it I went down to the main desk to tell the woman at the desk When I told her I got no apology and a crabby answer when I asked what happened “I don’t know The whole building lost power!” She was very rude and unprofessional I won’t be staying there again

Steven Thomas

We actually stayed one night on the trip to our final destination and one night on our way back homeBeds both times were comfortable, but the air conditioner in the first room seemed better than that in the second room The second room was on the ground floor while the first room was on the second floor

The second room seemed humid
