Mr Wisc

The staff at the office were very nice to me and my family, The pull through spots are very spacious The pond that they have which you canoe or paddle board is pretty big, the fishing was great! My son and daughter caught tons on blue gill, and bass We didn’t keep any but the fishing here literally turned my daughters hate for fishing right around and she loves it now

The lady who decided to start mowing the lawn next to our RV at 6am woke up my wife and toddler Quiet time should be observed by everyone and not just the guests The pool definitely could use a new coat of paint

Not a very family friendly environment Definitely geared toward a retirement crowd The bathrooms and laundry facilities stay clean and well maintained

The grass is overgrown in sections of the back lots but the grounds surrounding the facilities and main roads stay well maintained The older retirement crowd is very triggered by any children jumping into the pool One of many many rules is no jumping in the pool Be prepared for the wrath of crazy Karen’s to come running from the other side of the pool if your child makes any sort of splash when entering the pool Over all, the staff seems annoyed with everything and looking for something to create a new rule or take away hours from pool time (for cleaning, that doesn’t seem to actually be happening) This would be a nice place to retire if you start to genuinely despise people and love to complain in your older ageIt is a shame because this place has amazing potential The fishing lake is beautiful The amenities would be a huge selling point but many of them are not useable The kiddie playground with plastic play structures for little ones is located right outside of the laundry room which would be great, but the sand under the play structures is filled with some type of larvae and little crawling worms The large Playground has one baby swing, but the buckle is broken making it unusable The paddle boats are awesome, but many of them are broken Hopefully, the ones running it are the owners If not, they are running someone else’s business into the ground They run it as if they are doing a community service that people are taking advantage of not like a business that is catering to paying members Unless they decide to advertise as a retirement only facility, it would be be wise to keep up with the playground and family features Adding an adult only pool time for the long time members who are triggered by families would also be beneficial

New manager Nanny was NOT friendly or helpful!!! Stay away from this if you are new and don’t know every single rule (over 40 written rules) right away She was screaming at my senior mother to back up her car with 2 RVs right behind her, she couldn’t physically back up but they wouldn’t let her just turn around Then she said she was calling the police because she wouldn’t move, she literally couldn’t move because she was stuck with 2 RVs behind her

Really sad because the place has a pool, swimming beach and ok bathrooms Screaming at new customers, we were there for maybe an hour, is a joke for customer service We sincerely had no idea what she was talking about and to escalated it to calling the police is ridiculous I would never feel comfortable coming back here but that’s fine because there are better cheaper parks in the area, don’t waste your time, money, or energy on this crazy place 0/5 Stars

Casino is okay great friendly table hosts But fine cut steak house definitely needs new management or retraining extremely rude after my wife’s salmon was raw my steak very under cooked Simply tried to explain to “Arthur” what the problem with the food was and yelled at me telling me that’s enough sir

extremely unacceptable as a “manager ” would not recommend steak house at all unless you want food poisoning

Ja Chooz

We have not been to Hollywood casino in more than a year and we stop by for fun I have to honestly say it was awful The slot machines were very generic and all the good name ones were gone

A lot of the slot machines were either turned off or out of order Table games were way too expensive The staff was always nice No complaints there The slot machines were boring and generic I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon

Eric E.

We stayed in the RV part It was nice and quiet The draw backs and reason for the low rating is for the price there is no FULL hook up at any site

We were in space 77 and there was zero internet reception The showers were mediocre at best but with no sewer at sites we had little choice With BOTH grey and black tanks full we went to the dump station on our departure Really bad! It’s a gravity fed pit with a grate It was full and stank at 10AM! There was no grade or elevation so we weren’t able to fully empty our tanks The casino was nice and had fun losing money All in all I don’t recommend the RV park unless you have no other choice Then it’s OK for an overnight stay

When my husband booked this hotel I was so upset I said I don’t stay in Inns or 3 star hotels We drove from Ft

Washington, MD I was so on edge because I was tired and didn’t know if the hotel was up to my standards When we arrived I was so surprised I told my husband I stand corrected you did a great job picking this hotel The staff (Kim) was very nice and welcoming It was good having a friendly, welcoming staff member after a long drive The hotel was perfect, very clean, pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna, a wedding reception area The Resturant/bar had good food and friendly staff

Cindy GK

Room was nice Quiet, clean, good air conditioning, bed comfy with fitted sheets Took one star off for no free breakfast, and room not cleaned or resupplied during 2 night stay

Ate dinner at restaurant on site; in spite of hamburgers being their specialty ours were missing items listed on menu, thereby causing a delay and cold food (Not hotel’s fault I know)

I stay here on business Not because I want to

but because well, hey, where else are you going to stay? This hotel is new and it’s cheap as hell The lobby, the room fixtures and furnishings are garbage Come back and stay in this hotel in 5 years and it is going to be so trashed you won’t believe itWhen I stay here (which is always mid week) the place is typically occupied mostly by working men who seem to in town doing work for the railroad or similar type of work You can spot them in the summer congregating around the fire pit in the back smoking and drinkingPRO’S* Surprisingly good food at the restaurant downstairs* Possibly one of (and it hurts to say this) the better or best hotels in Joliet* Close to the job site* Easy to get to and leave* Pleasant staffCON’S* The laundry is sort of inconvenient It can be a bit of a march coming from your room and back to check on your stuff* Everything is cheap here* Yoga room is a jokeDon’t get me wrong I don’t mind this place I stay here a lot

My husband, two dogs, and I stayed one night as last-minute reservation The service and room were fantastic In addition to very clean rooms, the hotel is in full service

The pool and gym were open The free breakfast buffet are hot and cold foods and served in the hotel’s trendy lobby area The front desk hosts were so helpful and ensured that our experience met our expectations, which it did Special kudos to Manny We thank you for your help! We really enjoyed our stay

Lisa Harrison

Our stay was great! Very clean roomManager & staff was very accommodating Comfortable / large sitting area in the lobby if you have company

Good breakfast optionsPet area in the back of the hotel is big, lots of grass for our dog to roamWill definitely stay here on our next visit Loved the location – right off of I55, easy access

Heather Cavener

We are traveling across the country with 2 dogs, so chose La Quinta’s since they accept pets This was the cleanest one we stayed at so far The room itself had lots of space to get re-organized

The remote was missing and the AC wasn’t kicking on but the front desk agent came upstairs and fixed both of those things We’d definitely stay at this location again

Overall not a bad place At the time of this review they were doing major renovations and it seemed a bit messy Room rates appeared to reflect a price change compensate for the loss of available rooms

On elevator and one ice machine Elevator is extremely slow and during very busy hours it’s better to take the stairs if possible No way to get to the back lot without going through the pool area Breakfast is a bit mediocre but I expect that to change once renovations are done

Christin Shouse

The first night the bed broke and the dogs next to my family barked frequently throughout the nightThe next day when my husband Inquired about maintenance fixing the bed, he was told they wouldn’t be able to fix it until MondayWhen my husband asked why housekeeping hadn’t cleaned their room he was told they no longer do that due to Covid

He asked for someone to come and take the trash and to provide fresh towels and was told housekeeping had left for the day It was 3 o’clockThe final straw is when my family woke up with a bedbug in the bed Immediately we called the front desk, and Lisa, who was a real peach dismissed me The solution was for us to just leave the hotel and not deal with the actual problem at hand My family gladly left that hotel, however the bed or room was not properly sanitized, steamed, nothing was doneWhen I called back later that night to speak to a manager, Bobby who is the general manager of that location, alluded to the fact that we could be making it up, because I guess a lot of their patrons do thatI had to send in a picture of the bedbug to prove it, because Lisa made no comments within our account Shocker! So to the following family’s who stay in room 318, check the bed and sleep tight Those bedbugs will bite

He couldn’t use the shower as it was absolutely disgusting They was a ball of mold growing behind the tolietHe went down the street and checked into a new hotel and payed out of his own pocketI can’t believe they would even rent out rooms like this I wish I could attach the pictures

I’m not even going to go into detail about the drab look of the place Which I’m sure someone will say something about renovations However, that was not advertised and I do no see any renovations

Just a sign that says it’s coming So the place just looks dirty just bcAlso, I chose this place so I can have a quiet place to work This is a convention center hotel, correct? And to top it off, the pool is closed for the entire month I’m here Nothing I want while I’m here is happening And I’m staying for a month!

Rustybeard

Maybe it will be better after the remodel but my room was nasty Air conditioning barely works Always hot in the room

I was supposed to be there for 2 weeks but only slept there 2 nights and left my bags in the car so my stuff wouldn’t stink The odor in my room was awful They gave me some spray but it just made it smell like chemicals Pool isn’t operational It’s a construction site My shower was nasty Felt like I needed to wear water shoes to take a shower I checked out and left Just awful Worst hotel I’ve stayed at probably ever Went down the highway to a way nicer place for the same money

I stayed here recently while on a week long company training nearby This hotel was the most recommended in our company travel systemMy company definitely had the right of it with that recommendation

My stay was about the best I’ve had in the Morris area The room was clean and had new furniture and fixtures Check in and check out we’re relatively painlessThe breakfast, however, was the high point of my stay There were plenty of both hot and cold options each day and I was able to select items based on if I wanted to sit down to eat or grab something to goAll in all, I would definitely stay here again Thanks for the good stay!

Ellie Dalle

I traveled to Illinois for a company trip Unfortunately my company has repeatedly dropped the ball and the whole trip has been a disaster The small bit of reprieve I got was here at the Holiday Inn

Jill, Miles, and Kelly have been absolute blessings, so friendly, so accommodating The continental breakfast is the best I’ve seen in years I was so happy to see that they have a “market” to provide basic needs within the hotel The whole place was clean, the pool was nice and warm, and the bed was more comfortable than my own at home Unfortunately I’m being moved to a hotel closer to the facility I need to be at for work but, I’m very happy to have spent time here and highly recommend it!

Pluses and minuses:+ Easy check in+ Beautiful lobby+ Victoria running breakfast is AWESOME! She’s so kind, prompt, helpful, and personable This would have been an “average” experience had it not been for her+ Location easy to get to from the highway+ Safe and secure+ Overall seemed clean+ Good variety of breakfast foods to choose from- Shower curtain in accessible shower too short, got water all over the floor — went through a lot of towels!- Bed was mostly comfortable, but could feel some springs- Wifi resets often (sorry data plan!)- Pool area low on towels all weekend, lights burnt out, pool water could use some better filtering- Breakfast area furniture too crowded- Could use some minor general maintenance (fix the loose and crooked signs, replace or paint old or rusty things)

Brandon Calton

The hot tub in their Suite is fake It doesn’t work and the “jets” are just faceplate attached with rusty drywall screws You read that correctly

We got yelled at by staff for using the Tub, which is the only reason I booked this room The employees were the rudest people ever and when I said the room was unacceptable and I wanted a refund as we were going to a different hotel, they refused and said “good luck getting any refund, nobody ever does” Their night manager pushed his way Into my room while my wife was in the shower and refused to leave See attached pics I also have videos of everything It was our wedding anniversary

Ross Grant

The first room I had smelled as if urine was coming from the AC I was given another room it just felt dirty High touch surfaces like light switches, remotes, etc looked dirty and clearly were not part of the daily cleaning

The sink and the toilet also was dirty The rooms look as if they only make up the beds and empty the trash when cleaned This even more believable because the dispensers (ALL 3) in the shower for shampoo, conditioner and body wash were completely empty Long strands of hair were found in the bathroom The worst best western I’ve been to Closer to a Red roof inn

Arrived at 3am after a long day of travel with my son Had spent and hour being jerked around by the Hampton Inn until an angel by the name of Sybil W took my call and found us a room at the TownePlace Marriot

She was incredibly kind to my very sleepy son and gave him a rubber ducky toy She made our experience so pleasant and my son had a wonderful time during his first hotel stay Thank you Sybil so much for taking care of us

I stayed here for about 2 months for work Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, working Ethernet network connection, bed was real comfy, kitchenette was nice with a nearly full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooktop, and garbage disposal Only complaint is the TV was pretty small (32″) but still deserves 5 stars from me

I was very comfortable here

Very clean and nice Rooms updated recently Made use of laundry facilities

Very dog friendly; at check in we were given a list of nearby dog facilities and a nearby emergency vet Very nice and appreciated touch Nighttime manager was terrific Dedicated dog relief area near a pond with ducks and geese, easy to take a nearly mile walk Warm cookies at check in (While they lasted 🙂)

Mark Goode

The hotel as a whole is pretty nice and clean Staff is friendly and helpful There is an area where you can buy snacks, drinks, beer, wine, etc

The free breakfast runs from 6 to 10 and its been really great Lots of options Cons: room service is request only Kind of a drag if you are staying for a few weeks like me I had to ask twice for them to do it and when it happened it was very minimal Had to ask for extra trash bags and for them to refill the coffee Minor complaint though The shower needs a good deep clean Some mold in the corners Felt like I needed to wear shower shoes Dirty socks in the top of the closet from the previous guest The rest of the room was fine The bed is pretty rough Matress is a way to firm and worn out I can feel the springs Pillows are flat The laundry room for the whole hotel consists of 1 washer and 1 dryer Quarters only, and there is no change machine The staff at the front desk stated they could not make change due to not having any quarters All in all its a pretty nice place Big room, clean facilities They just need to tighten up on the room service personnel and it would excellect

Stayed here for a week with my wife and son, the staff here are very nice and understanding of our needs Anything we needed they had for us quickly and without question We had a small problem with our plumbing and asked for a different room, and within ten minutes we were in an upgraded suite

The rooms themselves were clean, no sign of any pests, and were stocked with coffee, towels, etc We had zero issues with our stay here, and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a great rate The pool was a very nice touch too, lots of fun

William Finn

I walked in with my wife and 2 sons, we saw the bed bugs and left within 1 minuteLocation seemed good and safe but who really cares at the pointAll we wanted was to do was sleep for 7-8 hours and get back on the road

Thanks God we saw what we saw and didn’t stayThe price was rightLocation was rightWe went in the room, inspected it, found bed bugs, and left immediatelyThe staff was very friendly, and gave me a full refund The guy at the desk wasn’t surprised at all to what we foundStay away, sorry not sorry

Austin Shores

You get what you pay for Non-smoker room – I was afraid of bed bugs and roaches from other reviews but it looks like a new mattress in our room and no sign of bugs However the entrance and hallways smell like weed and disinfectant

The key cards are very sensitive to magnets and heat and will need to be reprogrammed frequently The breakfast is barely passable as a breakfast, muffins with bread for toast and waffles you make for yourself No hot foods Pool is nice, elevator has a sketchy “4 person limit sign on it” Some stuff is stained Mini fridges seem to have issues with frost and the freezer sections not staying cool

Feedback From Real Customers

Clean and accommodating When we arrived we got assistance with joining rooms and great help The next day when we needed to make a change desk staff was not receptive at all and simply told me NO

I did communicate with host for dinner arrangements and assistance with another matter They were very helpful and followed up to make sure we were happy

The hotel rooms are large and well suited I like the way the bathroom is set up Bedding and pillows are comfortable

Rated a 4 because it’s probably the most drab casino I’ve ever seen Also, everything was quite over priced

We were disappointed with the quality of the room The faucet barely worked and the phone didn’t work at all The room was extremely warm during the night even though we set the thermostat to lowest it could go

The staff was great Super helpful and very pleasant
