We booked a King room and it was a very big room but it smelled musty and felt wet We cranked the AC to help and after a while it did but we had to the same thing each day when returning to the room after being out all dayThe shower didn’t drain so we were in standing in water while showering

And we had zero room service We had to go get fresh towels and tpIt was disappointing because we booked the hotel based on the reviews and ratings of othersNow, the location was great and I thought the breakfast offered enough to give you a good start and the attendants kept it stocked And the front staff were nice So, some positives but still the stay fell below our expectations

Left hotel three hours after checking in Room was warm and musty smelling Couldn’t get room to cool off despite AC running three hours

Room above me was moving items around in room and smoking outside with ashes falling on vehicles Plumbing looked terrible in bathroom Registered complaint with CorporateNot sure where these people with these great reviews stayed but it wasn’t at this hotel I would sleep in my hotel before I would ever stay at this hotel

Omg we checked in today 6-18-22 after being put out of a best westen hotel with our children 😳, then to get here with no warning that their pool isnt working and they have bed bugs refused to refund us our money because we stayed longer then 30 mins I couldn’t believe it , the lady that checked us in was ok but the man John who checked us out seemed careless and that he knew about the bed bug issues but wasn’t willing to admit to the situation and wasn’t able ro refund us any further I will be calling their corporate Monday morning not to mention we come all the way from Ohio

Cleanliness: Horrible If they have cleaning staff they need to replace themNoise: parties going on all night

On a Monday night I couldn’t sleep And my boyfriend’s car (more like his obsession) had a broken trunk spoiler and multiple Corona beers partially drank left on the trunk and rings from drinks being sat thereVery disgusting place I used two bottles of disinfectant and a bottle of multi surface cleaner with bleach and I still felt it was unclean There is no way it gets properly cleaned after each visit That kind of yuk doesn’t happen from one or two missed cleaningsThe pool wasn’t open and it looked horrificThe entire place should be inspected and managed by someone who takes health safety and physical safety seriouslyThe remote didn’t have a back The telephone was covered in who knows what and wasn’t plugged into anything Burn holes on the bedspread and human genital hairs on the sheets and all over the bathroomI will not stay there again or suggest it to anyone

Tyler Strawn

I seriously suggest that NOONE stays at this hotel From the moment I arrived it was nothing but trouble the lady at the front desk was rude lazy and didn’t want to do her job She told me that I could reserve the room online even though it was 4:00 in the morning that I would be fine and could check in so I booked the room got to the hotel to find out that she won’t book me in because I booked it for the 25th which is the ONLY option online gave me and she even told me it was okay

She constantly had a attitude and a smart remark towards everything it literally took me over a hour to check in Why? Because she is on her own time as she put it so instead of just checking me in real fast she decides to do this and do that and put me on the back burner HOW SHE EVEN HAS A JOB STILL IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY ESPECIALLY AFTER READING ALL THESE REVIEWS ABOUT HER Maybe they should consider shutting this place down!!

J C

The room are nasty, showers are broke, bed are tide like rock, heat no working, then advertise a free breakfas and then no provide, plus pool is close, staft clain is a old hotel that is the reazon the no have amenities, overall was a bad experience, plus i see girls walking by doors room maybe doing some iligal, i no recomend this hotel, then got their own rules for deposit, really! Bad for bussines

I was very surprised The front desk person when I checked in was very nice and allowed me to stay another day in the same room The motel was very convenient to a lot of restaurants, the room was very clean and so is the property

So happy that I was placed on the first floor because couldn’t access second level through the lobby The bathroom is very clean but the toilet is a little tight in there Overall, I enjoyed it and I would stay again First floor only! LOL

Nick Lopez

I like the blue & beige colors for paint so much better than bland brown Bed nice pillows are square I guess they changed this Not comfortable for me I prefer regular rectangle pillow

Breakfast is always good Had good hot water for shower Staff is nice and friendly Pool getting closer to opening A/C working All is clean Location good some restaurants I don’t see any trouble makers This up for this location

We stayed at the Lemond House for a week after selling our home in Matthews Although, we had passed by the Inn many times, we had never visited Bill and Connie were great, very accommodating and responsive

The room was charming, very clean We walked to restaurants Fantastic breakfast and enjoyable conversations Highly recommend!!

I took my wife here for our first overnight away from our first born The room was lovely! We felt right at home but also like a VIP My wife loved it

She prefers luxury feeling bed and breakfast over the dated/antique filled onesso the Lemmond Home was perfectIt was conveniently located to downtown Matthews We were able to walk to dinner at a 4 star dining restaurant We returned home to watch a movie and woke up rested in the wonderful bedThe innkeepers cooked us an amazing breakfast – French toast, eggs, fruit, juice, and coffeeWe are so pleased we have this special memory and glad we stayed at the Lemmond House We will be back for sure

The hotel is old and is desperately in need of a complete renovation The hallway had no air and creepy dim lighting The room had paint peeling on the ceiling and random stains on the ceiling, walls and carpet

The tub had rust stains and the hot and cold water knobs were messed up The grout in the bathroom was either dirty or moldy or both The queen beds were more like full beds and not comfortable at all! However, the staff was friendly and there were not any bed bugs or any other bugs If we had been staying longer than one night I would not of stayed!

Stephanie M

Wished I had read google reviews before Priceline Very outdated hotel Air conditioner did not keep the room cool

Set to 68F in hopes that it would cool down but never got below 78F Could smell cigarette smoke in the hall Even with the “No smoking within 25 feet of the building” people kept an ash tray right outside the door on the 3rd floor and I could smell their cigarettes throughout the night Doors shutting were loud Bed was extremely uncomfortable Will not be staying here, ever again

C B

This stay has been an absolute nightmare I read reviews and they seemed to be split I decided to be optimistic and give it a try

Don’t waste your money! Upon arrival we noticed the carpet by our bathroom was drenched I let the front desk know and they gave me towels as a remedy The first night we got woke up at 3am for an hour due to the fire allarm going off, no one from the front desk came to let everyone know it was safe to go back in People were slamming doors at all hours of the night Earlier, my sister noticed smoke coming from an exterior light right outside our window and when she came to check it out she saw that the glass cover was broken She let the front desk know and theh did eventually send maintenance out to fix it He ended up removing the bulb with pliers all while the light was still turned on and a bottle of water in his other hand It’s 4AM and I’m now hearing a shop vac vacuuming up what i can assume to be a leak somewhere The exterior doors locks did not work and were left open the entire duration of our 4 day stay The fitness room was closed, the computers in the office area were broken, there’s chips of the ceiling and walls falling off Their vending machine constantly took our money and gave us nothing The breakfast was alright but seemed to be understaffed every time we went to eat They need to get with the program!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was nice and accommodating The indoor pool is nice, along with the gym and bar in the hotel

They do not have a continental breakfast, but there’s at least 2 or 3 different restaurants in the same parking lot that you can get breakfast at I’d definitely stay here again! Close to downtown and the suburbs

Jess Sterling

Where to start! First off I’d like to thank the staff, especially Emma You made our short stay worth the 9 hour drive! The politeness to our children and making sure everything was taken care of for us Taking the time to check out each kid( individually, bc they had to use their own money) every time they wanted a snack 🤦🏻‍♀️ We appreciate your kindness and if we are in the area again will definitely be back to stay with you

Exceptionally clean, quick with requests, and the breakfast was delicious! The young girl at the breakfast station, I didn’t get her name, but my Starbucks white chocolate mocha was better than I’ve had at Starbucks ❤️

Matthew Greenbaum

The rooms and property are pretty nice The evening staff wasn’t particularly helpful during check-in He did not know how to link two reservations or enter a late check out, and he didn’t acknowledge Ambassador status

The day staff was more helpful, but are hamstrung by unaccomodating management Further, there is no complimentary breakfast

We have used this hotel a couple of times for full week large group training We have had to make numerous adjustments during the weeks (aka last minute), and they have been extremely accommodating The catered food options are delicious, and the sales, front desk, and event staff are super attentive and friendly

There is a fabulous balcony next to the meeting rooms (shady but nice and breezy), and the pool deck is also very nice There are tons of places to eat, shopping, and most anything else you might need within walking distance to the hotel, so there’s no need to rent a car for the week We have definitely been pleased

I stayed one night over St Patrick’s Day The hotel is what one would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn They have always been very professionally run in my experience

I enjoy having room on 7th floor as it was nice views The room was very nice It had large shower and large room The bed was very comfortableI liked the bar in the lobby They had good selection of beers including some local brews The prices were very reasonable Parking is convenient to the hotelThe staff was friendly although there was not a ton of interaction as I’ve gotten accustomed to self check in and digital key on the Hilton Honors app I really like just going directly to my room without having to interact with people or wait in any lines

Anthony Lugo

**Beautiful Hotel with Access to Everything **From the lobby to the room this hotel delivered a clean, professional experience I was traveling here for business I was able to check in with access to my room within minutes upon my arrival The front desk staff was very nice understood I was in a hurry for meeting and helped me quickly

The lobby is great for business meetings One on ones are perfect with plenty of spacious seatingThe room had lots of USB plugs along with the lobby furniture Again when it comes to business it’s hotel really did a great job at marketing to the traveling business professionalLots of eating options nearby as well

Updated to add – holiday inn keeps apologizing for my comfort being affected This isn’t just comfort, it’s safety I have no idea what the fumes were coming from, only a blurry video my husband took while I was outside with the kids that shows maybe a can of paint thinner? It was something like paint thinner or a stain or varnish

It was certainly something that should have been done without guests in the hotel and with better ventilation I am not exaggerating when I say the smell in the lobby was overwhelming and I could already begin to smell it in our room shortly after they opened whatever caused the fumes I told the staff member at the front desk that I did not think it was safe for anyone including her and she did open the doors to the lobby The fact that HI keeps focusing on “comfort” and not safety is concerning The primary reason we left was for my family’s healthThis is horrible My family (including 2 young kids) was awoken by the sound of a sander Yes, you read that correctly I then toldMy husband that my throat felt funny and my daughter was coughing He said he felt fine so I thought I was being paranoid… until I smelled fumes Sure enough, they are staining or varnishing in the lobby right outside our room The smell is so overwhelming This is dangerous in general but could be life threatening for a baby! This is absolutely absurd

David Waszmer

This hotel is very accommodating and convenient to many stores and restaurants in the area The staff were very accommodating and kind The young lady that checked me in went above and beyond

The renovations to the rooms are great I look forward to returning and seeing the renovations to the first floor The breakfast was set up in the conference, but that did not affect the excellent quality and the service from the friendly attendant

I had the reviews prior to my stay and was doubtful, but once I arrived everything was great from the beginning to the end of my stay The staff is great they check up on you if you do not put the sign outside and ask if you need anything Room was very clean and has everything you need

Overall I am leaving this establishment very pleased and content

Stephanie Barstow

Dated, dirty, and just unpleasant Echoing other reviews, floors are sticky and dirty

Counters in the bathroom were visibly dirty Pillows on the bed were half the size of a normal pillow Every metal surface had rust Everywhere smells like weed and cigarettes 2 stars because the cleaning ladies were great and helped me when I was locked out

Dal Curry

One star only because of the people at the front desk was nice enough The room itself gets no stars I got the room for two nights and the first night was fine it’s just that I could smell someone cooking without stoves being in the room(not a good smell)

I could hear the people in and out of their rooms all night( just moved out of my apartment, so very tired) The second night is when I noticed half sized pillows and roaches and more roaches with the horrible smell of yet another meal being cooked Now I’m afraid to go to sleep roaches like to travel The rooms need to be upgraded just a little You get what you pay for

Roach Infested & Toxic Odor – I killed several roaches in the hotel The room smelled so TOXIC that I got physically ill I ended up sleeping in my van

Common areas and room furniture are nice, modern, and clean Staff are really helpful and I appreciated that they were flexible about late checkout Not all amenities were open and the hotel seemed understaffed; beds could be comfier, and the hallways could stand to be updated

The snack area in the lobby was nice, though Overall, not at all a bad place to stay!

Spencer Kuhlman

When we checked in, we were told the bistro had a complimentary breakfast in the morning Guess that was just a lie? The only options available were $9 breakfast sandwiches that did not look appetizing The hallways of this hotel smell like burnt feet

The shower in the room smelled of mold and was not ventilated at all Overall, the whole place has a musty feeling that is not welcoming The sheets were like construction paper Unlikely that we stay here ever again Beware!

Kellz W

Room was clean and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience We went downstairs for breakfast and had the absolute best time chatting with Ms/Mrs Roshella at the breakfast bar She provided exceptional customer service and made sure we had everything we needed

She definitely deserves a bonus 🤗 I really enjoyed my stay

Lovely staff, all of them I encountered were professional but still warm and personable Pretty clean Dogs allowed-I could smell dog in the lobby a little but a worthwhile trade to me, but if you’re sensitive to it you will notice

Personally so long as there are no physical remnants I’m happy, and it was nice and clean Sink and shower drains a little slow, happens with older rooms, but the toilets were no problem at all Cozy interiors, AMAZING mattresses Room clean, odor free, thoroughly checked, and the worst I could find was the vacuuming could be a little more careful around corners It’s got to be a top notch resort to get a full 5 from me This was an excellent hotel I will be back, likely often

David Stoller

HiltonI made the mistake of choosing this hotel again after a bad experience before This time of course disappointed yet again I choose that there were 2 adults and a child

Yet all there was in the room was a bed and no pull out or couch even The digital key wouldn’t work and no one would answer the phone just like the previous stay I walk down to the desk and an employee is standing there right beside the phone I get a key and go in the room to find the sleeping issues On top of that the quilt is barely thicker than the sheet with very little warmth to it This was ridiculous I call to ask for a cot, of course they don’t have any He tells me there should be a pull out yet there isn’t He says he will call me back but never does 30 min later I call back to yet again no one answering the phone for 5 minutes I walk down and there he stands I ask about the issues of the cot and he says they haven’t been able to find one yet he is just standing there h another employee just behind the wall He acts like he is trying to find another room for us but isn’t actually doing anything for 15 minutes while I stand there I ask for a bunch of blankets so I can make my daughter a bed on the floor and he hands be 2 cheap rough blankets I ask if there are any comforters or something I can get to lay down and he says that is all he has I am beyond ill and fed up with this hotel and Hilton Honors I need to go to bed and I need rest for tomorrowThen they charge my card again and when I call about it they have a very bad attitude and talk down to me

David Harrington

Asked to leave the restaurant area due to having a service animal

Tried to explain that’s against ADA regs and the clerk asked what the regs say Well if you don’t know maybe you shouldn’t try to enforce an illegal rule Then he said I have an attitude OK even if I do you probably should keep that to yourself since you are in the hospitality businessI attached a photo of some of the regs so maybe the manager and staff will educate themselves Probably not but its worth a shot

This was my first time in North Carolina and I didn’t do much research about hotels and this was one of the first options that came up on google The price point was extremely fair and It was only about 4 minutes away from the CLT airport It’s a great place to stay for short trips, layovers, and things like that

The two women at the front desk were very helpful, warm, and welcoming I booked my room a day before my trip and it was very spacious and very clean The room came with body wash, lotion, extra towels I didn’t need an iron or blow dryer so I didn’t look for them in my room but I am sure if you were to request it they would gladly put it in your room Throughout my stay the hotel was very quiet It was surprising to me because of the location The stay included free breakfast but it was not included due to being short staffed which I totally understand There is a large pool in the middle of the courtyard that looked very clean (I didn’t use it but I liked to look at it) Checking out was very easy and they asked all the right questions to make sure that I enjoyed my stay and how they could improve I don’t think I’ll be looking for a different hotel to stay the next time I visit North Carolina I will always book this hotel especially for taking shorter stays! I highly recommend this to anyone deciding if they would like to book here or not I felt very safe! Thank you for the stay!

Staff is friendly and price of this hotel is hard to beat, but quality/cleanliness of the room is definitely a “you get what you pay for” situation Rooms and lobby are fairly run down This hotel is also loud

We stayed here two nights (traveling to and from florida) and both nights I was woken up by other’s conversations around us Would consider other hotels around here if I was stopping in the area again, but I also wouldn’t be totally upset if this were my only option

My Room was not ready when I went to check in late afternoon The line was very longHad to wait until about 7:30pm for my room

They did not have the continental breakfast or even snacks to buy in the lobby (Only Soda) The room didn’t have an iron or abox of nose tissue Front desk said they didn’t have any boxes of tissue No toilet cover (Room 219) dropped things in the toiletThere was a rolled up marijuana still in our garbage can The parking lot cans were overflowing with garbage right next to the door Day & Night Very disgusting! Country Inn & Suites Charlotte Airport 2541Little Rock Rd Is by far the worst One I’ve stayed inI stayed in 3 different Country inn & Suites within the past week(Many others in the past few years)

Comparing this hotel to others we stayed at…We were given a handicap room even though we are not handicap and did not request it The walls are very thin You can hear everything all around your room

We had 2 young Kids above us that just wouldn’t stop running and jumping Being woke up super early by running and jumping constantly for almost 2hrs makes it for an annoying stay Then hearing the chattering from the fire pit and pool We also had the neighbors partying with music and chatting after 11:30pm and could hear everything The elevator was right across from the hotel room and you hear every conversation from people getting off The water pressure is not strong in the shower or sink They don’t do a hot breakfast like other hotels during this timeThe plus sides were that the room was big newer and up to date There were two large smart TVs (one in front of the beds and one in front of a sofa), and the AC worked well The location is nearby plenty of food and shopping The staff was polite when arriving

Very friendly and helpful We were able to find accommodations that were handicap accessible Free breakfast that included eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, bagels, etc

very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms We really enjoyed our stay My only complaint was that they do need more carts, there were only 3 and they always seemed to be in use Had a problem with a truck parking in a handicap spot that had no tag or placard in sight but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault

Room service is very spotty Sign says you can get your room cleaned on request However we requested it several days and got service once in a 6 day stay

Had to go to desk for fresh towels when neededBreakfast was fair but they close it up at 10am period Regardless of people in line 2 different days arrived at 945a and food was essentially out flipped the switch
