Our wedding at The Garrison was pure magic I never imagined I would feel so at ease as a bride, and that was in large part due to Bridget and her team The day ran seamlessly thanks to all of their hard work and planning

The food was incredible (and they made sure my husband and I actually got to eat it, which having worked as a wedding catering waitress in the past I can assure you doesn’t always happen!), the set up was perfect, the servers were kind and professional, and HUGE shout out to Jessica who was the most amazing bridal attendantAside from the consummately professional staff and Michelin-worthy food, the venue itself is just gorgeous They recently added new hardwood floors that took the already beautiful reception space up a notch, the view — the VIEW! — is spectacular and something our guests brought up over and over It’s Hudson Valley magic at its finestMy husband and I were thrilled with every part of our wedding day As Hudson Valley natives, we were so excited to show our guests the beauty of where we grew up, and The Garrison was the perfect place to do just that I cannot recommend it highly enough

Sasha Williams

I have always wanted to get married on a mountain top so I searched for venues using Google Maps and came across The Garrison As soon as I walked inside, I knew this was the perfect place Bridget was our day of coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! She was quick to respond to emails, had really good suggestions, and made our big day run seamlessly

The staff was attentive and professional We had Richard as our Captain and Karen as our bridal assistant I can’t express enough how amazing they all were the day of our wedding Karen made sure that we had everything we could have wanted (food, drinks, space, help with pictures, etc) and I don’t know what we would have done without her! We literally had not one thing go wrong It was incredible I highly recommend The Garrison as a wedding venue The setting is beyond compare, the food was incredible, and the staff was amazing What more could you ask for?

Cindy and Kyle Casamento

We had our wedding there on December 3 and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day The views are spectacular , the food was beyond delicious and the staff is on top of everything and extremely organized We had the pleasure of working with Annie, who was with us from day one, all the way to the day after

Amanda was very sweet and a tentative to my needs I highly recommend the venue and all of their staff We plan to visit the venue and the restaurant at once a year

Celebrated my birthday with a stay at the Abbey Inn and Spa We arrived at the Spa for a wonderful couples massage The Spa was clean, welcoming and the services were fantastic

Everyone was friendly, helpful and warm Johnny took us under his wing to show us around, give us the history and he rang the Abbey bell for my birthday – made me feel so special The Apropos Restaurant food was amazing – roasted bone marrow with escargot (!!!), pistachio crusted lamb rack with pickled cherries (!!!!) Giselle at the bar and Johnnie as our server were fun, helpful and kind Thank you for a magical birthday celebration! PS did I mention the incredible Hudson River views and the beautiful spiritual energy all around?

We found this venue while searching for historical spaces for our Sunday brunch wedding local to us in Westchester NY The overhaul of the location was beautifully done and expertly refreshed without the team losing any of the charm or sacred historical relevance of the buildingFrom the onset, Gina Bonacci was highly responsive and accommodating to our questions and requests

Her attention to detail and thoroughness in planning out the day and surrounding timeline was highly appreciated She was very mindful of planning objectives and tracking everything of any significance Negotiations and contracts were easy to navigate and simple to understandOn the day prior to and of our Wedding, Gina served as the coordinator, timekeeper and utility player She was responsive and on top of everything we needed The entire staff was a pleasure to work with and accommodating Everyone from the hotel desk staff and cleaning team, servers, bartenders, valet and line cooks were all professional and courteousAnna and I could not recommend the venue or the team there more The day was beautiful, simple and elegant just as we were looking for The rooms were clean and well maintained and the food and drinks were fresh, tasty and well preparedWe look forward to anniversary meals, spa days and future events at the venue

The hotel staff were pleasant enough and the grounds are lovely My husband and I have a few hiccups that were pretty inexcusable though This is mostly related to the spa

The spa staff are very disorganized and were confused when we arrived for our schedule appts Not a great start to a $360 massage The massage therapists were Tony and another man Although nice, both my husband and I agreed that our very expensive massages were basically an hour of heavy petting It was pretty much the worst massage I have ever had No pressure whatsoever, despite indicating nicely that they could use more pressure It seems they were both tired and didn’t want to expend any energy Ok I understand, but then we shouldn’t be charged over $420 (with the ‘suggested’ yet heavily implied gratuity by the front desk staff) for the worst massages we ever had I had to book a massage with my therapist in Manhattan just to feel satisfied Awful — do better or reduce your rates to $50 at best

A hidden gem! The MTK hotel ( formerly Holiday Inn) was a perfect place for my business trip Not knowing the area well, the hotel offered everything I needed The restaurant was wonderful

Make sure to see Ed in the restaurant! He will make sure you don’t go hungry And will ensure he sets your ordered meal aside should you have to arrive late Just call ahead The hotel is very clean and well appointed The room was very comfortable and quiet Will have my staff use this hotel when traveling in the region

Brenda deGraw

It was expensive The food was awful for the cost I was disturbed by being stuck with vehicle breakdown and they brought us there closest to Meineke garage

I had two children No room service No continental breakfast past 9amSnacks were outrageous Yet they did give me milk for the little guy A very expensive trip to see my daughter in prison It was a disaster

Briana Post

Hotel MTK has fake pictures up with a description of “renovated” when it in fact has not been The manager says he begs corporate to take down the fake pictures and they refuse When you open the door you’re hit in the face with 50 year old cigarette must and mold smell

The lights are so dim you can’t see a thing inside The curtains don’t close The 50 year old wall unit struggles to spit out musty air but it’s still hot and muggy in the room The TV is an original flatscreen and can’t handle the way cable looks know so it hurts your eyes to look at it It sounds like people are inside your room when they walk by Doors slamming all night and early morning Want a migraine in the morning? This place is for youThey apologized the next morning and offered to refund me the night (I booked 4 nights) but instead they never checked me out and charged me $70575 for one horrible night

Gorgeous property Room was nice but wasn’t cleaned properly before my arrival There was old food and drinks in the refrigerator

The safe didn’t work Wallpaper peeling off the walls and there was a used towel hanging on the shower rail Regarding the Pool: The website and the signs at the pool say “adults only” (which was THE reason for booking there) but the pool was filled with kids and the occasional crying children Would have been fine had I willingly known the pool was not advertised as adults onlyFood is outrageously expensive I ordered a pasta dish for dinner in my room It came in a small round plastic takeout container With all the service charges, taxes and tip it cost $52 There was nothing extraordinary about the dish Pic of pasta below The surroundings and property itself were beautiful, but I would not stay there again Didn’t get what I paid for

I stayed at this hotel for a wedding and enjoyed it! You could tell that they’d recently updated the furniture and wallpaper in the rooms I appreciated the blackout curtains and comfortable bed! The room itself was also very clean The hotel is older, but the property has a fascinating history and is quite charming

The staff we encountered were incredibly kind and professional

Poorly managed property with disorganized staffThis could’ve been a great hotel with a change of staff an better managementWe got a preview before our trip when we were trying to figure out if there were any restaurants on site that served breakfast

We were told no – twice, when we called the property, only to find out later that there is, in fact, a full service buffet dailyWe checked-in early, only to be given a room where the door and the window would not lock We called the front-desk (getting through there itself is a challenge and took us 20 mins each time after being put on hold), asked to be moved into another roomThey respond “Oh Yes! I forgot that room doesn’t lock” How does something like this slip your mind? Doesn’t your check-in system allow you to block a room that requires maintenance? After waiting for half hour, we had to walk over to the front-desk, someone came back with us to transfer to another room but the window would not lock there At the 3rd try, they tried to move us into a room with a king bed (we had requested for 2 doubles) After wasting 2 hours, we finally settled in the roomService at breakfast left a lot to be desired The waiter was rude Coffee was not refilled When we requested for a refill and waters for the table, he “forgot” to refill my husband’s cup and “banged” the glasses of water that he filled on the table so that they spilled on the phone that was lying besides itNot sure whether his problem was with us or with the jobTO Summarize:Pros: The location of the property is greatCons: The hotel rooms need work – not for an upgrade but to make them basic and acceptableStaff and Management need a changeDefinitely not worth the price that they charge per nightHighly recommend an alternative location for potential guests until the hotel has worked out their kinks

Totally unimpressed I don’t count pennies when paying for delicious food, but I hate being charged premium prices for mediocre food That’s what we received at this restaurant on Easter Sunday

Based on this experience I wouldn’t revisit this restaurantOur food was cold The steaks were not cooked the way we ordered it It was almost like the chef did not know the different among well done, medium, medium well, or rare temperatures The eggs were obviously from a box and arrived cold as ice We weren’t served the potatoes that were supposed to accompany or steak and eggs dishSome people salmon which I was told was also cold and rather bland Our desserts were served with the ice cream completely melted into a puddle in the plate and the coffee arrived cold We waited almost 30 minutes to place an order for fresh drinksFor an occasion brunch charging a premium rate I really would look at some other options There are so many places to eat who knows what they charge but maybe you’ll get something tasty You won’t get that at Kittle House’s Easter Brunch Buyer beware

András Szuromi

Excellent food, good service, outstanding recommendations and attitude! Well done! This place is very American and very traditional Lobster bisque is a must have The best I have ever had

Duck breast is outstanding Prepared with care the wild rice and the flavoring of the garnish very unique The sauce of the venison loin together with the slow steamed vegetables give a very special experience Varlhona chocolate gift is also a must have Puff pastry with hot dark chocolate filling inside together with whipped cream and strawberry on the side If you come to New York do not miss this upstate gem They are also serving Sunday Brunch The house also operates as a hotel in a unique place surrounded by nature Very nice garden where you can also book tables

Paul Chez Sanchez

Absolutely fantastic restaurant The food was amazing, I had the Pork Shank and the meat just fell off the bone The restaurant setting was very nice and well stated

The staff could not have been better They were right there with everything we could want, but NOT hovering or intrusive at all Our main waiter Lenny was so nice and accommodating, we we’re having a b-day party for my Aunt, Lenny was great in taking our family pics for us Also, when I go to bars & restaurants, I am always hesitant to ask if they have any single malt scotch, and maybe they’ll have a 12yr Glenlivet or Macallan, this place had at least 25 different single malts from all areas of Scotland & excellent distillery’s across the board And the prices were not anywhere near what I expected Worth every penny 1000% recommend for any special event

Just terrible, The bar and restaurant were closed and they don’t let anybody know how shut down the hotel is, Everything else in town is open There’s tons of vacant rooms and they gave us one of the Worst rooms in the hotel, small dark and unappealing and extremely far away from the elevator We have always enjoyed all the Hyatts we stayed at across the country and this has to be the worst Experience we’ve had with the Hyatt hotels

The hotel is very modern and classy Nice interior decorations and nice furniture I enjoyed the hotel very much

It is very updated and the amenities are great The lobby is very beautiful and I was able to take many pics for my birthday One thing I didn’t like was that both days the room was very cold The heat did not work properly and we had cold air coming from the vent on top of bed all night Also the bathroom sink kept clogging Lastly in the suite there is no closet space which I found very strange Overall staff was very nice and helpful Loved the free Starbucks coffee and tea in lobby

I got married at Le Chateau on April 1 Many guests, my husband, and I stayed I had a suite with my husband which was so clean and warm!! The mattress was so comfortable too

They allowed us to have a after party after my wedding and allowed us to bring food and drinks in The common area was so adorable and nice for everyone!!? The manager and staff were so helpful with all of the details for my guests staying at the hotel Thank you very much for amazing service !!! I couldn’t have asked for anything more! I HIGHLY recommend staying here !!!

Lutao L

We stayed here for our wedding with all our close friends and families The hotel is very clean and well-kept All our rooms were spacious enough and the service was great

We did wait for a while to check in but given the guests number it was understandable They also have other wedding group staying there during the same weekendThey have breakfast included in the morning and have cute outdoor area with fire pits for guests to hangout We had a great time thereThere is an Italian restaurant Terra on-site (not owned by the hotel) They have good food but their service is questionable I left google view on their page if you are curious how our wedding group got treated horribly there But again this has nothing to do with the hotel experienceLast but not the least, they have very friendly and caring staff, in contrary to the restaurant I left my makeup mirror at the hotel After the reception staff Julio found out that we were local and not far from him He went out of his way and returned the mirror to us We really appreciated his help!

so good! Location is great, we were able to walk to Bars and Restaurants both in Piermont and the nearby town, Sparkill Kitchen is very well equipped if you are planning to cook your own meals Carolla is a great host, kind and a very interesting person with a positive attitude towards life The first night she came upstairs to bring us ground coffee for the following day and we were talking for about an hour in the living room We definitely recommend this place!

This Bed and Breakfast was perfect for our recent stay To start the location was perfect We traveled in to check out Tarrytown and Sleep Hollow

This B&B is located in Piermont which is a very charming small town that has excellent food, kind locals and during our time a very appealing Octoberfest We were also only a few minutes across the bridge from Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown allowing us to come and go very easily throughout the weekend Rates were very reasonable, the room was very clean and we right at home Carolla welcomed us with her sweet and kind nature We were provided with an excellent breakfast every morning with plenty of options Having never stayed in a B&B before a small concern of ours was having enough privacy but that was never an issue We had plenty of small exchanges and joyful conversations but always felt like we were given plenty of privacy I can’t say enough good things about Riverview I would highly recommend and we would love to stay again

My daughter had a sleepover party at the Hyatt Regency last night and everything was great! I had called the hotel multiple times in the past month to ask about rooms, the pool, etc and every time, the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful The suite was spacious and clean, and the pool was warm & big! Love the indoor garden! Our whole experience was excellent

We would definitely go back!

Victor Lee

The hotel is going through some renovations and some of the services aren’t back I used to enjoy the on site restaurant, Winfield’s, especially the breakfast The atrium bar was great

Neither are open now I did enjoy just sitting in the atrium having breakfast (bought from a local store) The gym equipment is well maintained The dumbbells go up to 75 lbs which is enough for most people The rooms need to be updated but area also well maintained The price reflects the fewer amenities I’ll be coming back

Elizabeth Adams

What is up with these negative reviews? This hotel is awesome! Updated and clean with a stellar heated pool and jacuzzi The reception area is literally a jungle with living trees two stories high It’s so cool

Everyone was friendly Beds are so comfortable Room service was great and they have a diner close by that can deliver food which was also really good Even though the restaurant is closed, you can still bring food down to the atrium and eat at the tables they offer Luganos wine bar is around the corner and excellent We were looking for a quick getaway from New York City and this was perfect We will be back!

Nice rooms but they are not cleaned during your stay You must request fresh towels The bar food is absolutely horrible the pizza taste like frozen microwave pizza ,the cheeseburger is hard and dry

The breakfast sausage, eggs bagels and oatmeal where good but the French toast was hard and dry The Hyatt at one time stood for luxury and 5 star Hotels Not sure what happened to this place

Overall a good stay The room is like a mini 1 bed apartment with full size fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee making, stove, etc The rooms are spacious with one of the most comfortable beds and pillows

Rooms are newly renovated and my only complaint was the urine on the toilet seat and around the floor which the cleaner must have missed I love that you can open a window for fresh airFacilities include a gym, decent enough to get a sweat on, coin operated laundry with soap for sale, business centre, bar, free breakfast with a basic but decent spread, free coffee and I did see an outdoor pool area but wasn’t there long enough to test the waters The location is super quiet and I felt safe staying hereStaff were friendly on check in and check out I would stay here again

Hyatt house was our main hotel for our wedding block and we were so happy we picked them!! Block rates were very reasonable and Christine was so easy to work with We loved the amenities (pool, fire pit, basketball court) and having the extra space with the living room in each room made it so much easier to socialize and prep for the wedding in the days leading up Hotel breakfast was also great and served as a nice gathering point to see our guests

We had a room block here for our wedding last weekend and everything about the West Lane Inn was absolutely perfect It felt like we were living in a beautiful, historic yet renovated house for the weekend Christine & Danille were exceptional – couldn’t have been more accommodating or kinder to us and our guests, and were just absolute sweethearts

The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, too We will definitely be back for future anniversaries!

Tamar Skolnick

We loved that the inn was steps away from our wedding venue, Keeler Tavern, and also right next door to a restaurant and super close to the main strip of RidgefieldWe spent two nights here with our families for our wedding weekend, and it was the most magical and special weekend we could’ve imagined, thanks to Christine & Danille’s hospitality and meticulous organization They helped us organize rooms for each family member based on their needs and went above and beyond to accommodate the families with toddlers and babies with anything they needed

They also created the perfect goodbye breakfast for us on Sunday so that others who weren’t at the inn could drop byThe inn is charming inside and out It’s located in an old new England home, but completely renovated on the inside The bedrooms each have a unique theme and everything is sparkling clean But it’s not just the bedrooms that are perfectly clean Every corner of the inn is clean and immaculate and gorgeous The best part was the front porch and the tables, which created the ideal space for us all of us to be togetherThere are just endless things I could write about how great this place is We’ll never forget this amazing weekend that Christine and Danille helped make a reality We’re already excited to think of returning for a future anniversary

George Hrico

We love the West Lane Inn! Danille & Christine are the absolute best! They are the most accessible and caring Inn owners we have ever met Their small hotel in Ridgefield CT is absolutely stunning and cozy and the owner’s energy just enhances the experience My wife and I have stayed multiple times while we were performing a house search in the nearby area

Each time we arrived not only did we have an absolutely wonderful hotel experience we felt truly taken care of Danille talked us through the pros and cons of the area Gave us numerous recommendations for places to check out and vendors to speak with and made us feel incredibly welcome We’d be lying if we said that a portion of our decision to move to the area wasn’t in part due to the friendliness and welcome nature of the folks at the West Lane Inn We’ll be pointing family and friends to this lovely inn for years to come If you are passing through New England check it out!

The Good: The room and hotel were very clean and well maintained Staff were friendly and helpful The bed and bedding were comfortable

The room had just the perfect amount of space, although the tub/shower was cramped (anyone over 5’7″ would have to bend down to get their hair wet) The location of the hotel is good being close to the freeways, and centrally located The Cooper’s Mill restaurant and Ruth’s Chris offer a fair amount of dining options without having to leave the hotel There were blackout curtains on the windows, which was great, but there was still the issue ofThe Bad: There was a good amount of light being cast in the room from the cable box on the back of the TV and the light from under the door Thankfully the location of the bed “hid” a lot of the under-the-door light, but nothing prevented the entire wall from being lit up from the green light from the cable box A recent study found that any amount of light in a room is enough to prevent a deep sleep, and I have always found this to be true In this case, it resulted in me never getting a solid night’s sleep and being generally grogging for the four days I was there And this was further exacerbated byThe Ugly: The walls are insanely thin Two of my nights ended up being late nights due to neighbors talking on their phones At first I thought they were just overly loud, but I don’t think this was true, just the lack of soundproofing in the walls Thankfully they retired by 10:30, but this was far later than I wanted to go to sleep (had to wake up at 4am the second time)

5 night stay Screwed up reservation (wrong dates) Pool closed-appears to be a months-long issue with little effort toward resolution

Needed hotel maintenance to get in room (dead battery on door lock), next two days had to be rekeyed due to hotel requiring appearance at the desk to run credit card Hotel posts the weather at two entrances-forecast was six months old-tells you right away what the attention to detail is Titanium Elite member-never recognized by the staff Fitness area was once top of class; unfortunately at least four of the weight machines are in need of significant maintenance Aerobics equipment is state of the art Good location, the base restaurant is good (but expensive); not sure if the Ruth Chris restaurant is even open Housekeeping did a good job and worked around our schedule, and everything in the room worked Acceptable hotel for business trip but not up to the Marriott standard

This is standard Marriott I’m very happy that the services are coming back after Covid! They actually have two redtaurant/bars! A Ruth’s Chris open seven days for dinner, and Copper’s Mill open 6 days a week for breakfast and dinner Quick and courteous staff

The rooms will need a refresh soon I prefer showers over bath tubs that I never use and are not very safe!

Rating the restaurant only – to begin, the service was attentive and helpful and the bloody Mary’s were delicious which is why we gave 2 stars However, the food left much to be desired The steak and eggs ordered rare and sunny side up arrived well past well done and burnt

The hash browns were taste-less and had the feeling of being precooked hours before and we’re left sitting in a warmer The one redeeming dish was the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was edible and the bread basket which was served warm Would not return for brunch!

Review for the restaurant: Really enjoyed our time at Roger Sherman Nice conversation with one of the Co-owners when we arrived The menu looked great and I ordered foie gras terrine appetizer and duck entre

Duck is a good indicator in my opinion of the quality of the menu I’ve had duck at places where it should have been great, and it wasn’t At Roger Sherman, the duck was amazing Everything from food to wine, to cocktails were spot on We will definitely be returning soon

We just got back from a stay at the Inn for my 30th birthday weekend We were visiting all the way from Los Angeles! The minute we arrived we were so happy to be there Lovely jazz music was playing in the restaurant

We loved our room (#17 in the carriage house) We are really picky when it comes to beds and the beds were so comfy Water pressure was great and never ran out of hot water Every single meal we had by the chef, Christophe, was INSANELY amazing You really cannot go wrong I felt like I was at a dinner party with friends rather than a restaurant which is exactly the vibe you want from a bed and breakfast We will definitely be back!

In my experience Hilton Garden Inn locations are less predictable/standard in terms of quality than many of the other Hilton lines This hotel was perfectly fine (clean, decent service, no complaints) but, at the same time, not one of the better Garden Inn locations The employees at the desk did not seem terribly well trained, and both the breakfast and the shop were unimpressive

Hotel room was fine, but the water in the shower never really got above tepid (neither in the morning nor at mid-day)

I got SCABIES from this hotel I brought my own pillow to sleep on, but used one of the hotel pillows between my knees for joint support I woke up the next morning with a rash between my legs

I assumed it was contact dermatitis from the detergent on the pillow case But after a few days it didn’t get better and started to spread Found out it was scabies Disgusting So apparently this hotel doesn’t clean the sheets and pillow cases between guests or follow covid protocols Because if they did, I would not have gotten scabies Room was nice enough otherwise, but this was intolerable

Michele “Skullette” Cornelius

Honestly one of the nicer hotels we’ve ever been to The room was decent and the pool was clean,q my only tiff was the little snacks area was cleaned out from everything but booze water and peanuts but a wedding party and guests were there so that could be why The BEST breakfast out of the many hotels we’ve stayed at

Breakfast cost money but worth every cent!

This property is by far the best of the Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt properties in Stamford A short walk from the train station (roughly 7-8 minutes) it is clear how much attention is put into the hotel, its rooms and common areas While the building itself is new, everything is extremely clean, the rooms are well laid out and the designs are very stylish

Combined with a well staffed restaurant/bar area and many free amenities such as free coffee brought to your room, this will be my new hotel for my travels to Stamford

Henry Portell

Stayed here for a week I have to say the staff here is amazing!! And I mean everyone! The hotel is very nice and it was quiet all week! I have to say the only thing I wasn’t crazy about is the coffee situation They will put a Nespresso machine in your room if you want one, but they don’t make a regular cup of coffee

And since the restaurant doesn’t open until 6, there isn’t much choice A regular coffee maker for the room would solve this The only other drawback is there was no closet in the room There were several hanging hooks along the wall by the bathroom and that’s where I had to hang everything It worked But it’s not appealing to see a bunch of clothes hanging on the wall Despite that, I still give it a 5 because the staff made up for the other small issues

Steven Lico

Great staff and nice accommodations! My 3 stars comes from the hotel only having one working elevator over the course of four days and no effort of maintenance Also, the lobby smell like sewage and some sort of cleaner/aroma to mask it
