I’ve never had a bad experience with Best Western, which is why I always try to find one close to my out of town destinationsThe service was above excellent, the young man that checked us in was extremely polite and very helpful I hope he knows after a long day of traveling, thats always a nice thing for a guest to experience

Breakfast was actually better than you’d expect, it’s usually pretty good at best WesternThe rooms were perfectly clean, and updated Thank you to the housekeeping for doing a fantastic job!The building is located in a great spot, very quiet The portion of the parking lot our room was on, was kind of odd It was a dead end rather than a wrap around lot, but nothing hard to navigateI would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area of Salt Lake!

Could’ve been cleaner, maybe updated a bit My room had (soda?) spilled all over the wall, little stain on my comforter (maybe food or something?) and the floor didn’t seem to be vacuumed Breakfast was good and filling

(I recommend the pancakes) just disappointed in the cleanliness of my room Hotel definitely is kinda stale smelling as I saw someone else review too Staff seemed friendly, lots of parking

My Dad and I recently had to take a trip back to Utah for a family event For the price, it was awfully dirty not over the fact that they are recently doing some renovations but just the cleanliness of our room was gross They need to change the comforters more often

There was makeup all over my dad’s bedding Also the bathtub was extremely slick Would suggest putting a non slip mat down for more safety Front desk Brandon was very welcoming I think he worked swing on the night we arrived Not the greatest location considering it being on a busy highway

Joseph helped me and my mom This is one of THE BEST customer service experiences I’ve ever had I have stage four cancer and came down for a 3-day bout of treatments and scans from a different state

This can sometimes feel like a fiasco because of everything I’m going through But Joseph, the man at the front desk, was so personable and nice He made me and my mom feel so much better He even helped walk us out after our first visit to the front deskThank you so much for your kindness to us If I still had my own business, I would offer this man a job Wow!!!

Hotel is in the midst of renovations, which is fineBut the room renovations are done poorly Fit and finish is bad

There are cracked tiles, poorly installed fixtures and cracked sink in the bathrooms Coffee maker is missing parts so is not functionalThere are also safety issues – door for the stairs sticks and is hard to open Doors are not labeled No fire exit routes are indicated in the rooms There is an office chair blocking the second floor landing Given the attention to quality with the renovations, I would suspect that safety systems (sprinklers, alarms, etc) likely suffer the same lack of attentionI would not recommend staying at this hotel I understand it is converting to Holiday Inn after renovations, but I doubt changing the sign is going to change the safety of the building or the quality of the roomsSorry, I don’t like to post bad reviews, but this hotel should be much much better than it is, and it is not an issue of changing the furnishings

Although I had read some negative reviews prior to staying here, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and we’re happy with the hotel We were on the first leg of a 3 state anniversary trip and upon arrival we were told we were upgraded to a tower room at no extra charge The room was VERY large and well equipped, a definite upgrade to what I had booked

Older decor throughout the hotel but well done and a change from what we usually stay in when traveling Just a couple of minor suggestions: provide glasses for beverages, only paper coffee cups were available Also, our room had a spacious balcony with a great view of the city but their are no chairs to sit and enjoy it?

I used to work here so I sometimes use my benefits to get a room for a day or two with my children as a short getaway Always a great experience and the coffee shop has some of the best soups and salads I’ve ever had We also had the brunch buffet a couple of times and loved it because of the variety they offer

There’s also a gift shop, a lounge coffee bar and indoor/ outdoor swimming pools We usually stay at a tower room but one time we stayed at a garden room and it was beautiful too I highly recommend Little America for your next hotel stay in Salt Lake City

Lisha Redford

I chose this hotel for my one year wedding anniversary with my husband Where the main desk is to check in, is beautiful, but the rooms are a completely different story There were stains all over the floor, the walls were dirty, the heating/air system was dysfunctional, the heating vents were hanging halfway out of the walls, the wallpaper was coming off in certain places

Absolutely no effort to clean this room before we checked in, or keeping up on the maintenance of the room I went to sit in a chair to do my hair and there was a huge red stain on the chair We ended up leaving and not even staying the night If I could give a negative review I would The $100 deposit is absolutely ridiculous, I would expect that amount from a nice hotel but this was disgusting Very disappointed

We loved this place! From start to finish everything was perfect Our young girls (<10) fell in love with the hotel and staff Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and we are just a regular family

Decor was beautiful, classic but not ostentatious Room had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable and the view over the city towards the mountains as the sun set was incredible We ate at the Laurel – just amazing! They accommodated the kids and our allergies very well The food was excellent, and very reasonably priced Something for each of us – all empty plates and pleasantly full stomachs The girls especially loved the soup, and one really liked the salmon, the other the steak Our server was delightful! We had fun riding the bus and trains around town We took an easy 30 min bus ride to Mount Olympus, and ate at Rawtopia (highly recommend- very healthy organic & allergy friendly food and the kids ate all of it!) Had a nice walk around there tooThe hotel has two pools, so of course we had to try both The weather was a little cold for the first couple of days, so the indoor pool was the winner there Nice and warm, and not too busy On the warmer days the outdoor pool was lovely Plenty of loungers and attentive service The gentle piano or harp music in the lobby bar / restaurant in the evenings was a great way to soothe the girls The hotel was quiet at night so we all slept well Can’t really think of anything negative to say about it We all hope to be back soon; the girls still ask us to send their pictures to both the hotel and restaurant to say thank you!

This hotel was beautiful Chandeliers everywhere, an amazing flower court yard, multiple lounge areas

Simply beautiful You can pay $20 for them to do valet parking They really take care of you at the front This hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, entertainment, and pretty much anything you want to do in Salt Lake city I attended a conference and they put together meals that looked amazing and gourmet The service was outstanding by everyone we met

Joanna P

High-end hotel with massive suite-style bedrooms, most of which have small balconies The bedrooms are decorated in quite a traditional style and look a little worn in places I stayed here for business but don’t think I would be willing to spend my own money as the nightly rate is very high for quite a dated hotel

The pool is a great size and has plenty of loungers The hotel bar also has a large drinks menu and great service Service at breakfast can be a little slow but the food was solid

This hotel was amazing! As a snowboarder, it felt like it was made for me with the in-room snowboard/ski racks The rooms are modern and very clean The staff was very friendly and welcoming

The rooftop patio is very comfortable and the building itself has a really unique feel to it It is a work in progress, but it was an amazing place as is The snowboard/ski shops, the skate park, and the art gallery all under the same roof was amazingly convenient I can’t wait to come back when it’s completely finished!

This is an amazing space and concept Stitching together one of the best retailers in the outdoor space with a rad hotel and many yet to come experiences (skate park, climbing gym, bar, restaurant and more) within this breathtakingly renovated old building is an experience like no other While there were still a few kinks to work out, we stayed during their soft launch, you totally get where this is headed

Beds were comfy Rooms are cozy Art throughout the space is terrific My daughter really enjoyed the skate park and can’t wait to comeback and use the climbing gym

Jeremy Matherly

I really enjoyed my stay at evo Hotel in February The location is very convenient It took me only10 minutes to get to evo Hotel from the airport and when I went snowboarding at Woodward Park City it was a mellow 25 minute commute

Be sure to check out Ruby Snap cookies that is only 2 blocks away (with Roots Coffee shop directly next door) or take a 5 minute stroll north to Rose Establishment for a delicious breakfast The evo Hotel building is beautiful and features really cool artwork throughout There are large murals in the common areas and each hotel room features a different artist There is even a QR code on the door to each room that directs you to information about the featured artist The hotel shares space with outdoor equipment shops (evo), a skatepark and a climbing gym There are 2 outdoor patio areas with fire pits and a great view of the mountains During my week long stay the site was still not 100% open I was told that coming soon there will be an in-house bar, restaurant and coffee bar on site The staff were very friendly and fun to chat with My room was clean (basically brand new) and cozy with a private patio and view of the city and mountains I’ll definitely be coming back

The is a nice place to stay for being older The beds are comfortable but the pillows not so muchIt is a good location downtown as well

I think what I liked most was the bar attached to the hotel They provided menus for each eating establishment attached to the hotel so we could order anything from a high end steak to great finger foods and appetizers All while in the comfort of the bar in the relaxed atmosphere The staff at the hotel and bar were very attentive and friendlyI was taken aback by the lack of parking as I’ve never had to pay for parking independently from the hotel before It was quite expensive for what was provided as well Maybe I’m a bit sheltered, I don’t know but all in all it was a great experience

Kyla Beck

What a beautiful place!!! I loved walking into the lobby, and seeing how big and beautiful it looked The employees there were all so kind, and took wonderful care of us! We stayed for our birthdays this past week, and we will most definitely be staying again!! Our room was huge, the bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable It was so fun to get away for a bit, and be able to relax here

Thank you guys so much for the amazing experience

Morgan Jaffray

Stayed for 4 nights and location was perfect! Walkable to all the best restaurants and bars I know the building is old, but maintenance needs to be kept a up with Drains in sinks not working and drains in showering falling off

Temperature settings in shower are backwards Bathrooms sinks in lobby make a screeching noise when turned on Rooms are extremely small and sinks are outside the bathroom, in the bedroom area The king size room felt even too small for 2 people Would be nice if they took each 2 rooms and combined it into 1 room to make it more modern and spacious so guests aren’t crammed Staff were nice and always had fresh coffee and water Bar downstairs I do not recommend Weird theme with gargoyles , strange music , and drinks are too surgery Head to Lake Effect bar instead

First time staying here and now this will be where we stay when in SLC! What a charming place! Jessica checked us in and was amazing and helpful! The room was super cute and the jacuzzi/waterfall shower was heaven!!! The breakfast was served in our room and at our time specified; it was really good! Cant wait to stay in different rooms, but Mississippi Serenade may be hard to beat! Thank you for making our romantic getaway amazing!!

Saturday night and no kitchen staff; Disappointing but not a deal breaker Fireplace didn’t work; same feeling about this as the kitchen Jacuzzi hasn’t been deep cleaned in a while; turned it on and hard water scale and other foreign specs came out of the jets

kinda gross The kitchen was across the hall from us and we got woke up to clanging dishes for breakfast prep from 6am onFood was good in the morning Room was decent and unique lookingOverall disappointed for the price you pay Rather spend the money and get a suite at another hotel downtown

My first stay at Ellerbeck, and it was absolutely wonderful! The building is elegant and beautiful, the decor is intriguing and nostalgic For a moment you feel like you’re transported to a different time, absolutely peaceful and tranquil Then, the breakfast was delicious; the cottage cakes were fantastic! The staff is extremely friendly

I can’t say enough good things about my experience I highly recommend the Ellerbeck bed-and-breakfast as a unique place to stay in Salt Lake City, and I’ll be back for sure!

Our stay at the Ellerbeck Bed & Breakfast was like a dream! We booked and stayed in the Zion room It was like sleeping in a place of history We were in love with the decor and the theme kept throughout the house

The breakfast in the morning was absolutely deliciousThey were also very accommodating as I had a friend come in and decorate it a little in celebration of my wedding anniversary and they allowed him to come in and decorate the room no problem, no hassle Definitely want to stay again

Tringle Witt

Great breakfast feast Better than any other 3 star and we’ve been to a lot Good comfortable bed

I didn’t like the hotel, there is no free parking, no breakfast, I had to slam the door so it could close every time The shower was clogged up, the pillows were old because they didn’t keep the shape, the light fixture in the bathroom was rusted, the valance on the curtain was falling, furniture was old, bedding was stain They claimed the pool was heated which was not true

Also they don’t have housekeeping If you are used to someone making your bed, getting you clean towels and taking out your trash, this is not the place You have to put your trash outside of your door and ask for everything else you might need but they didn’t tell us that when we checked in To top it all off they don’t have late check out We paid a lot of money and it was not worth the price in my opinion I paid nearly $1,800 for 2 rooms for 5 nights and they couldn’t accommodate for me to check out 1 hour later in one of the rooms It was just 1 hour Some staff were friendly The only good thing about this hotel is LOCATION !!! There is a few hotels around the same area with more amenities so next time I visit I will look somewhere else to stay I feel robbed for the price I paid

Chayla Teske

Didn’t enjoy that we had to pay for parking

$10 per night per car Must have missed that in the description Hotel is a little run down Receptionist was nice A light breakfast would be nice, muffins or something on the goMake sure to put the do not disturb on your door Even though check out is 11am, room service woke us up walking into our room around 830 Doors have large gaps at the bottom so we could hear everything going on in the hallway Kids running, the ice machine running We woke up a few times because of noise in the hallwayThe only plus about this hotel is the close approximately to city center Temple square is right there, the tram is across the street, City Creek Mall is a block away

Maxwell Krem

Stayed 4 days Check-in was easy, and all the staff were very friendly There is no complementary breakfast

Bathrooms are a little bit small but functional enoughThe exercise/workout room has treadmill (was very fussy), a couple elliptical machines, and a set of free weights: workout options are a bit limited The room and bathroom were cleaned well enough, however On the positive side, I thought the staff were very responsive, and the hotel is very close to the light rail and the convention center

This bed and breakfast was perfect for my wife and I It felt like home rather than the very generic sterile hotel The home was beautiful and really showed the greatness of a home built almost a hundred years ago

It was very comfortable and quiet The staff was friendly The breakfast was better than any free breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel My wife and I went just to have a small getaway and this location was just what I needed It will be on my list of places to recommend and to return to in the future I suggest the French toast for breakfast, it was amazing

Britney H

Yes Yes and Yes I stayed here for 4 nights with my boyfriend and I have to say this is so much better than a hotel The service was amazing and the rooms are sparkling clean

The breakfast was the best food we had in Salt Lake (Try the lemon ricotta pancakes and the stuffed waffleso good )Coming back each evening felt like coming home The staff and super friendly and seem like all around good people Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome If we come back to salt lake we will definitely stay here again We highly recommend Inn on the Hill

Kim Dodds

We stayed at Inn On The Hill to celebrate our 20th Anniversary It was so fun to experience the history of the building, and we loved the quiet & peaceful atmosphere, even though it is really close to Downtown Salt Lake City We stayed in the Carriage House, which is a small detached building behind the main Inn

The breakfast in the mornings was delicious and all the staff were great! Probably not the best place to bring small children, but for a couple’s getaway I would definitely recommend it!

If you plan on staying more than a few days, be prepared Getting things like towels, toilet paper, coffee, etc, is quite difficult You get a lot of pushback from the front desk and hand ringing when it is not done

Also, I stayed in one room on one side of the bed After nearly 2 weeks, I pulled back the other side of the bed and found a quarter size blood stain on the sheets I was given another room and told the manager would contact me, which never happened The room itself is very nice, as are the amenities The gym is top-notch and the wet area is above average The elevator buttons are tricky and the common areas that include hand sanitizer, soap, paper towels are often empty Just about every day, there was trash or crumbs in most of the common areas Lastly, the “bistro” is useless They are always out of anything other than pastries and overpriced and burnt coffee The location is superior and salt lake City is an incredibly clean and well thought out city As for this hotel, you could certainly do worse but could certainly do better Two out of five stars This could easily be a 5 out of 5 hotel with better staff and management

Tammie Madsen

The hotel was clean and pretty however there is no parking for the hotel so you have to pay an additional $20 per vehicle for the public parking Additionally, the “free” breakfast is cereal Nothing else

You have to pay for the milk for the cereal They do have fruit and muffins at an additional fee but they claim to have a free continental breakfast which is boxed cereal We came over the weekend with kiddos and got 2 rooms which were well over $500 per night and were hit with additional charges for basic hotel parking and a measly breakfast Hyatt House is right next door and we think the better, cheaper option

Heidi Zarda

I stayed at this courtyard a week ago and had an issue and still haven’t heard from a manager I didn’t realize til the next morning of my stay that the shower had not been cleaned, complete with a lot of hair and a used hand towel There was also dried lotion on the sink, which made me wonder if that had not been cleaned either

I told the front desk when I checked out and showed her pictures and I asked her to tell the manager, he was not in at the time 3 days after with not hearing from management, I called and left a voicemail It’s been 6 days without any contact from management to try and rectify this situation Accidents happen, but I’m more disappointed that management doesn’t care enough to reach out to a customer to rectify a poor experience I travel to SLC often for work and I will be choosing a different hotel from now on
