Do not believe the photos I’m a photographer and know the tricks and either the photos are old or they did their job well This is a run down hotel

Pool and hot tub were not operational None of the outdoor key fobs worked to get you into the hotel, very frustrating! Carpets and wall coverings are dated Funky smell throughout Furniture is cheap and chairs are wobbly when you sit in them I gave it two stars because the staff was friendly(always apologetic for all the issues) and it included the typical standard breakfast but was still too expensive $150 with taxes and fees and that was the special rate via several apps Did not know that until we arrived and had already pd that the pool was not in service, we had two dissapointed teenagers We booked via an app vs directly via the hotel, it did state on their website that the pool was out of order on their website, but we probably would not have swam in it based on how the rest of the hotel looked

People are fantastic, very kind & try to do anything to help you! However, the place is old, not clean, some rooms smell & ants were present! The nightstand drawer fell off & had to get the front desk lady to help me! Again I would give 5/5 to the person but 2/5 at most to the place! Had to leave earlier & book another hotel in the area & pay for 2 rooms for the same day to get out! They have to clean it & do some serious renovation!

Kelly O’Leary

The pool was freezing My family got out after 10 min and if we weren’t so desperate to try and swim, we wouldn’t have even gone it What is the point of having a pool if you can’t keep it slightly warm

Also the bedding left a lot to be desired There was only a sheet and flimsy top decorative piece – no blankets or comforterIt was also kind of loud We were hearing people walking by our room multiple time after midnight It was so disruptive we left at 230 am

It wasn’t excellent! It was beyond expectations!!I’ll definitely go back when I’m in town to visit The Managers name I can’t remember but she was Amazing It was around Easter of 2022

See I was visiting my daughter, and I was coming from Kentucky It was still early in the day but I was tired from driving So I called the hotel to make a reservation and not only was I accommodated I was able to check in early and was approved a discount! That alone speaks volumes The room was clean and sanitized The bed which was a King sized envelopes you especially with the fluffy pillows! I wish I had more thumbs so I can turn them all up! Again you’ll always have my business!

Ashley Shegog

The reviews for this hotel are FAKE! The room was not thoroughly cleaned There were coins on the floor so it couldn’t have been vacuumed, stains on the walls and curtains, grime on the shower walls, and the bathroom tile was disgusting There was cereal in the drawers

There was a foul smell as soon as we walked in that we attributed to the water in the bathroom The toilet did not flush right and it backed up after about 3 flushes – when we called down they said not to flush toilet tissue down the toilet because it was not biodegradable There was no one on duty until 11pm to help with the plumbing, my husband requested a plunger and the front desk told him no So we waited, no one ever called or came In the morning my husband went to the desk in person and they said maintenance was already gone but they did give him a plunger at this point Any area outside of the main lobby had a strange/dirty stench The walls are also so thin you could hear the neighbors coughing like they were in the same room I’ve stayed in better motels This location hasn’t been updated in years You can plumbing damage on the walls Comfort Inn should be ashamed of itself We were in town for my father in laws funeral and because of booking through bookingcom, we could not get our money refunded/afford to go elsewhere I sprayed Lysol consistently, purchased travel pillows from the store, and made the best of an already stressful situation

Rooms were clean and comfortable Rooms and hall ways were very quiet Thank you Demetria for the amazing hotel experience

This is our go to for a quick getaway with my grandsons They enjoy the pool which is always spotless and fully stocked with towels We all enjoy the breakfast

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable The re- model gives an upscale trendy vibe I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting here And short drive to shopping , lunch at Cheesecake Factory is a plus! Great restaurants in area also Chicago is not too far but we’ve always enjoyed the surrounding area so we’ve not gone into the city See you again about January when we can enjoy the pool and watch the snow outside Thanks for making my family feel like we were Welcomed Home!!

Laura D

I am so glad to have found this hotel for my visits to this area The front desk staff and housekeeping staff are great! Front desk staff is always friendly and so efficient! Kudos to Greg for being out there in the freezing snow to make sure we had a clear and safe path Thank you for housekeeping for accommodating me while I had my zoom meetings; it was appreciated that you modified the vacuuming schedule so it wasn’t heard in my background

I especially appreciate Dalia, who manages the wonderful breakfast! The food is fresh, the hot items are a nice change from other hotel breakfast offerings and I appreciate the variety of items for folks watching their diet (however; best raspberry danish ever! Where is that bakery?) As I stayed at this hotel several times during the pandemic, I was especially impressed at how well Dalia managed hotel guests who were not masking near the food area, as mandated by state law and was required by the hotel at that time In the sweetest way possible, she informed various guests that masks were required and then she led them to where masks were being provided for those who’d forgotten theirs Hand sanitizers were all over the hotel which made me think this hotel was taking safety seriouslyOne last thing to noteI’ve noticed that the hotel staff all seem to get along really well and it is nice to see them smiling and greeting each other If staff gets along like that they must enjoy working there, which makes my stays there so much more pleasant

Catherine Bradley

This hotel is the best in the area The staff are truly professionals The hotel is very clean and quiet

The breakfast is outstanding and always fresh The breakfast staff are amazing I have stayed at many hotels in the area and nothing compares I would also like to say if not a Wyndham member sign up They have a go fast option with points wherein you can greatly reduce your prices on future stays

Best check in experience Jamal was fantastic and made my check in process extremely easy He gave great food recommendations, including the on-site restaurant

The ladies in the morning were great as well, and the sales manager even took a moment to compliment my shoes Everybody was dressed nice, they smiled and greeted you, and I just can’t praise everyone enough My visit was to bury my grandfather, so to have such great customer service during this time made my stay even better

roeshell robinson

We arrived late on Friday night and Jessie was working the front desk and he did a great job of getting us checked in without any issues He recognized me as a Hilton Honors guest and he immediately told me about the hotel restaurant, bar and other features This hotel had plenty of free parking and it is great shape

The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced with a great selection There is a nice fitness center and indoor pool Our room had a fridge which came in handy the beds and pillows were comfy and there was plenty of space in our room The ice machine is on all of the even floors We were on the 1st floor so we had to walk up to the 2nd floor to get our ice The room does not have a microwave but there is a microwave downstairs in the snack area that we used to warm up our food when needed This hotel has everything you need There’s also a nice breakfast spot too in this hotel for your bagels, fruits, juices, coffees, and other items This hotel was better than I expected and the service was great!

I had my first Women Conference here at the Hilton Oaklawn / Chicago location and no matter the problem the management worked it out! The catering staff was super excellent and Sue was the Catering manager for our event! Beautiful spirited individual! Because it was geared to women they tried hard to give us a great female staff presence and we truly appreciated it so much! Tom and Greg were the best Hilton Hotel mangers you could ask for! Greg even started cleaning & inspecting rooms to assist in getting our ladies in their rooms in a timely fashion! We fell in love with him! Our Catering agent Anne did her absolute best to prepare the mangers and give us what we needed when we booked the location! The conference food was delicious and beautifully prepared! Javier the custodial engineer went above and beyond! I definitely recommend this location if it’s your first time so that you have a supportive hotel staff who cares!

This charming hotel is definitely a gem located in the heart of downtown Homewood From the stylish decor to the swanky restaurant, I truly enjoyed my local getaway The only changes I would suggest would be upgrading the tvs to Smart Tvs for movie streaming, improving the morning breakfast selection and having a skeleton crew so that in room dining can occur at least until 11pm on weekends

Eric Smith

Excellent experience and stay! Part of our stay was an surprise to my wife They helped with the execution of the surprise and even gave advice! Beautiful hotel, exceptional clean (very important during this time), and superb staff! This place is a hidden gem for sure! Feel just like you’re downtown Chicago This is now my favorite hotel, perfect for a quick getaway, Excellent atmosphere and great restaurant in side hotel! Can’t wait to return! This review isn’t justice

These are the places we need to frequent to ensure they stay open! Thanks La Banque for an amazing experience and making me look great to my wife😁

It’s pricey but most boutique style hotels are especially around holidays or weekends Many different rules due to pandemic I’m guessing Like we couldn’t have a drink in the bar unless we had reservations when the bar and most of the restaurant were empty

No one seemed to know if we could order room service Luckily we had a family party and went early We noticed glass broken in a picture frame immediately entering the suite and the attendant on duty removed it in minutes We were in an accessible room which includes lots of grab bars and side floor area, there’s also braille on the door The tub however is a regular high side so someone can’t roll in or walk-in You could probably bring a slide seat though They include a dark wash cloth for makeup removal A nice coffee station with fridge, in room safe, robes, iron, dryer, etc Nice one time for mom to enjoy the holiday It’s right across from the Metra station and has ample free parking Many great restaurants in the area if you want something different like Red Bird

I made a reservation a day and half and made sure they had a pool and it was open They said yes and sure is Now we drive almost 400 miles round trip to see our grand child

We get there The pool is closed there are dirt sheets still the fold out couch and the microwave will not work The elevator is broken and the drapes look like they are going to fall off the wall The shower curtain is bent up and coming off the walls Stains on the carpets the only reason give this place one star is that it was ok quiet and the bed was good Would not stay there again I would rather sleep in my car and save myself $200 plus dollars The breakfast I had to ask for a plate wait on some eggs let’s just say it was not the best breakfast or maybe the worst one but it was almost a tie They did mock off $40 our stay I would of gladly paid the full price if we could have used the pool sense it rained the whole weekend ☹️

Ashley Ouro Sama

Room was pretty decent aside from carpet stains Bed was lumpy but not the worst Worst part was elevator was out of service and my room was on the 3rd floor

The stairways have no ac so it is very hot in there Carpet in the hallways and stairways as you can see is gross and dirty Smelled of drugs But I did not get the feeling of being unsafe Once I was in my room all was well But in my opinion it is not worth over $100 More like 60-70

Divyaxi P.

The beds were really comfortable and we could get some good night’s sleep but The rooms were really old and the carpet was so dirty, all families were given rooms on the third floor! And it seemed like they had their worst rooms on the 3rd floorSo if you’re going here, request for a second it a first floor room, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed 😉

Not super impressed I was put in a handicapped room for the first night which the hot water in the shower barely got warm, not the room I reserved but it was the only room left Came back later in the evening to find ants everywhere

Bathroom, sink, climbing up the walls, on the nightstand and in the bed They put me in another room which was much better!!! Hot water worked, no ants and oh, don’t get the room that is next to the pool Pool is open 24hrs and screaming kids were in it really late and super early But they did have a nice gym and breakfast!

Jennifer D

This place was LOUD Super clean But could hear the other guests walking down the hallway and taking showers in other rooms

The fan in the heater was loud and squeaky all night Someone came down the hall at 1030 pm knocking on doors and running And the toilet seat was brokenThe main lobby is very nice Breakfast looked okayish Although when I went to get coffee there was noneOverall the place is clean and in a great location But after no sleep probably wouldn’t come backAnd the pool is also closed

This is a very nice hotel and had probably the most spacious room that I have ever been in for a hotel They offer a convenience area with candy, snacks, frozen meals, ice cream, adult beverages, regular beverages and some other necessities like medicine and chargers The hotel was clean, the breakfast was good

The staff and service was great but there were some technical issues that slowed them down That was not the staffs fault and hopefully corporate fixes it to help them help everyone better No matter what, highly reccomend this place but it is on the higher end of the price scale

Sheree Sensel

very clean, room looked just like the picture, 2 queen beds sheets and bedding were nice and clean, lobby very nice, a nice breakfast buffet in the morning, mostly muffins, waffles, coffee, cereal, etc staff very pleasant too

my only quibble was the price I paid, but I booked later than I should have! very close to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater, less than a 10 minute drive

Michael Laubecher

Rooms are spacious, generally clean and up-to-dateHowever, 2 things on this recent stay

1 There were small ants climbing around the desk area in the room I was trying to eat and it was a little unnerving 2 If you want a HOT shower, skip this hotel They must have the temp set to warm only So if you like a hot and steamy shower in the morning, don’t expect one, only a luke-warm one at bestI will consider other hotels if I stay in this area again

I stayed here with my crew for two weeks There was a new building being constructed in the parking lot, making parking difficult I was not told about the construction when I booked our rooms, which were in disrepair

The breakfast selection was meager Most of the trays sat empty while the staff sat in the lobby on their phonesThe sink in my first room was clogged and took hours to drain The closet doors were broken The vent in the bathroom didn’t work so the steam built up in the bathroom, which is probably why the walls in the bathroom were cracked and peeling Oh, and the hotel would not clean the rooms I was told this was because of COVID restrictionsAnyways, after a week of asking for my room to be cleaned I was told I could be moved to a fresh room Great! But I couldn’t move my belongings straight into the new room No I was told i had to pack everything and put it in the hallway and then the front desk receptionist would come check on me and if she saw I was fully moved out of the old room then, and only then, weekend she give me a key to my new room It was ridiculous I asked to just be able to take my stuff straight to the new room and skip the unnecessary steps of packing and unpacking, but the receptionist wouldn’t budgeSo I packed everything into suitcases and boxes and I piled everything out in the hallway It took an hour to pack and pile it all outside the room Then I went and told the receptionist I was done And sure enough, the receptionist came up to verify I was packed and left nothing behind She said she was worried about me squatting in the old room It was an odd statement But she did see I was fully moved out and gave me my new room key finally It was the room right next door I didn’t another hour unpacking that nightThe drain in the bathtub in the new room was clogged There was a giant hairball in the drain Of course, the cleaning service couldn’t clean the tub now that I was moved into the room so I had to remove the hair myself so the tub could drain

Upon checking-in, the clerk was rude and short with everyone checking-in The room was stuffy and very warm The air conditioner was loud and noisy

The inside door knob was broken and came off the door We had three people and there was only one set of towels Went to ask for extra set at the front desk from the same rude clerk and she reluctantly went to get the towels Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was advertised 6 am to 10 am There not enough breakfast items and they did not refill the foods for other guest to have breakfast The staff that worked the buffet was rude and mean at about 9:30am she started to clean with disinfectant spray and the smell was overwhelming, she turned off the lights and suggested we leave without finishing our meal She literally told us to leave di that she could clean and close the breakfast area and it was 9:45 am breakfast was not supposed to closed until 10:00am Bad location nothing nearby and in the middle of a business district This place does not deserve any stars my experience is negative stars!!

Sheree Hicks

1 The room still had the previous guest towel hanging in the bathroom 2

The wall had blood spots on it, probably from someone killing roaches and the walls were painted halfway 3 They do not provide clean towels if you’re staying more than one night 4 They do not clean the room if you’re staying more than one night 5 The staff is lazy 6 The pool had too much chlorine 7 One of the lamps in our room was missing a light bulb 8 The Front Desk attendant does not answer when you call the Front Desk for assistance 9 The only views outside from your window are construction sites 11 You can never reach the Manager and, of course, he only has one name It starts with a S like Sergio or something like that 12 The Manager has no business number, no card and during the AM is always in meetings behind some closed door somewhere 13 The window treatment and the bathroom shower curtain were both torn 14 I would have given 0 stars if I could The place is just unclean and in my opinion, disgusting Be advised, enter at your own risk and health

Have never been Room was very nice and clean Nicely decorated

Shower was very nice We asked for an extra flat sheet that was never brought to us Our room had service rooms or something above They were very loud above us in the morning, and it actually woke us up when we were looking forward to sleeping in They kept dropping stuff above us and were very loud Our room was in front of the building near the busy street which was very loud They need to invest in better windows and sound proofing

Spicy Zing

Aura has always been a great spot to stay You can rent for a couple hours or for a night (must rsvp for overnight stays) I like that there’s different rooms to choose from and their reasonably priced

This is a Lovers Hotel, definitely meant for couples It’s a great place to take your significant other for a nice relaxing night together Though you must have a membership to even rent these rooms (M: $50, For a year)

J.O.B Telinfo

Aura really needs to upgrade all rooms especially Tryst room I got my package as advertised However, the room was not sound proof, no soap or conditioner in the shower dispenser, blood on the remote control which is a major negative!!!! Holes in the walls and etc You guys better do something because things like that will cause Aura at this location to be shutdown

I will not return to this hell and I want my refund for the blood on the remote control

At first I was a little apprehensive when we saw the place, however had a wonderful experience there The room smelled fresh and clean Wind during the summer time, was grateful to discover that the AC worked really well, And was surprised With the scolding hot shower shower after coming back you’re coming back from A very rainy cubs game

The people were friendly and the doors automatically lock when you step outside so do make sure you remember your keys It was only 35 minutes away from Wrigley Stadium, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a nice cheap hotel that’s clean and not too out of the way

Unless we specifically asked for it One party asked for towels later in the evening and was told they could not get them because they were down stairs, and it was too scary to go down thereThe roos were okay but there was paint chipping off the walls in the bathroomI spoke to the manager about this the next morning and she was rude and condescending Last time there for me!

At least the bed was comfortable, later in the afternoon we asked for cutleries from the front desk and they don’t know where it was kept, the other lady at the front desk just didn’t care too, they couldn’t give us anything for short The next day the breakfast was sad, one of the guest informed the breakfast lady that the eggs were finished, the lady replied that she cant keep up with the breakfast but the eggs are cooking, honestly there wasn’t much guests having breakfast, plus there weren’t much choices, as i’ve mentioned breakfast was sad The first day we arrived i have asked HK for trash bag, they gave us the next day, plus the trash was overflowing on 4rth floor, the next day it was still the same, nobody took it out
