This hotel is wonderful The room was the cleanest hotel room I think I have ever been in The front desk was fast and friendly during check in and check out

The view from my ocean front room was so nice Older style windows did obstruct the view a tiny bit, but not really a problem The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious with a nice variety to accomodate any pallet and price Afternoon tea was a pleasant surprise and delicious as well The indoor pool was very nice, but could have been just a little warmer I would definitely stay here again

Chris OShea

Came here for a weekend getaway and was not disappointed Great location on the beach Rooms are all Ocean view

Short walk, about a block, to the boardwalk That end of the boardwalk is quieter and has mostly rentals Will warn you it is a long walk to the other end of the boardwalk Rooms and hotel were clean Had a drink at the bar, Raj was our bartender and he was friendly and helpful

donna brown

For the price it did not meet our expectations The pool was great and people at desk were friendly Once you entered the room it was a normal room

You paid for the view The small table and chairs were worn and dry rotted My biggest complaint was the ceilings over the bed Nasty! The bathroom sink had a problem with the drain stopper Beds were okay It isa little noisy from the hall Thin walls Tea time was nice Wanted fresh cup of coffee It was $3 (very small cup) a cup from the lobby/restaurant The microwave makes a very loud noise For the price and what you get, I doubt we will be back We have pics, not sure how to upload on this site

Outdoor pool area is nice and beach access is good Indoor pool was very cold and a little cloudy First floor rooms feel like a cave unless you book oceanfront(no outside access, no real window, room is below grade)

No fan in the bathroom made the whole room muggy after showers Birds in atrium are cool but the bearded dragons looked a little limp Needs an update, if we were staying more than 2 nights would’ve needed to change rooms No balcony/view is a huge negative on vacation Coffee was good Game room not exciting and fitness center clean but sparse

Salvatore P Pantano

The location is great, right on the beach Walk from hotel directly to beach It is an older hotel but still a good place to stay

They have indoor and outdoor pools A Cafe with bar to get a bite to eat or a drink The tropical birds in the hotel are a very nice to look at and talk to The front desk staff is very nice and helpful If you a planning a trip to Ocean City Maryland check them out

Erik Whisker

There were a few things I feel the hotel overlooks but overall I rate the hotel at 90% Accordingly, brooms are needed for first floor balconies The sliding doors need check for efficient operation

Perhaps incorporate a Continental Breakfast The sand behind the hotel could use raking to help clean litter The parrots are awesome and two nice pools plus staff are helpful

We went for a short family getaway at the tail end of off peak season, which was a great idea to avoid the larger crowds The check in process was smooth and quick Being right on the boardwalk was fantastic! We didn’t have to use our car once on the trip

Room was large, clean and views were excellent, especially for the price I wish they there were queen beds instead of doubles, however There was plenty of room for them The hotel is a bit older so we could hear the neighbors and I’m sure they could hear our little one In addition, the room we stayed in could be updated Overall, we were happy with our stay

Diane Lentz

The view was wonderful Check in and check out was quick and friendly The room could have been cleaner

The table and night stand were not cleaned after the prior visitors it was obvious The housekeeping personel were seen sitting in an empty room talking for a good amount if time The deadbolt did not work on the door and the heat only warmed the room when put up on 80 degrees Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good and very reasonably priced by getting the early bird special Glad I only stayed there one night

Dell Vannicolo

The hotel is due fly on the beach Views from room were amazing The room was dated and carpet older n had stains

The furniture didn’t match The housekeeping staff were very accommodating with needs for extra towels etc The Lobby area dated n dirty surrounding the hotel The restaurant had good food, but was fairly pricey for off season There were dying flowers on the tables in vases The outside area wasn’t open n potted plants were dead The pool wasn’t open The rooms were pricey for off season as wellThe front desk staff in the day were helpful and pleasant The night manager brushed off a complaint I had regarding the bar area I was told the hotel doesn’t manage the bar the pizza shop does I inquired at pizza shop and no manager was on duty at night only younger workersI understand the hotel was apparently doing renovations, but cleanliness should continue to be maintained in the process

We had breakfast Captains Table Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed the service of the kitchen staff My poached egg was boiled and the eggs over medium were fried hard

I understand there are still some employment difficulties; hiring/training and skilled team membersThe ocean view was nice and enjoyable for our quick 2-day getawayThe walls are paper thin and sound travelsOverall the trip was still a success Perfect location Right off the boardwalk and everything is walkable and accessible

Audrey Morris

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott for several days last week Danielle Costello, the guest services rep who checked us in, was EXCELLENT Danielle is friendly, polite, smart, personable, quick to accommodate our needs

Also her manager Carissa was fantastic, readily assisting our request to upgrade We were impressed with how the hotel staff maintained high cleanliness standards which we observed throughout our entire stay Would highly recommend this hotel

Paul Vetrano

Short staffed

very underwhelmed I’m a loyal Marriott customer and always prefer to stay at one of these properties for business and pleasureThis place was lacking so much I was hoping that it would be great since it was our first vacation as a family in a couple of years However it was definitely not the caseA couple of bright spotsThe front desk folks were niceTerry, Danielle and Christian As a matter of fact, Christian went way beyond his call of duty to accommodate us He had no support and was on his own for the evening shift Pretty unfair to leave a great professional without any helpThe other bright spot was the location It was right on the boardwalk and accessible to everythingThe rooms were basic, the front desk was stretched and not accessible at times, the gym was horribleliterally the bare minimum in regards to equipment, the Ice maker was out on our floor for the last two days of our vacationthis place needed a lot more loveit really was lacking in so many waysI would definitely not recommend it and actually discourage anyone from spending their hard earned money for a sub-par lodging experienceThis stay was a huge disappointment Marriott Bonvoy pay attention to this review and make the appropriate investment in this property It is staining your great reputation

Very nice room , located on 61st street just right off 90 east , Short walking distance to boardwalk and beach about a block Everything was located on main strip for eating clubs and in Hotel Staff were very nice and friendly also helpful in planning a surprise delivery for my wife’s birthday

Nice outdoor pool area and if your into gaming about 6 miles from hotel ” I’d book again “

Marita F

Pool was small but nice Beds were in good shape although thr 2nd day I got a comforter with a burn mark Staff was very friendly! Restaurant connected to the hotel had good food and our waitress was so helpful with my food allergy! The negative with the hotel was that the towels had a mildew smell

It’s a beach hotel so I can forgive a few things but even with new towels they still smelled pretty bad

Brandi Valentine

Hotel was updated nice and very clean staff was very friendly and helpful rooms are spacious brand new ac units nice mattresses clean floors and bathrooms first time I’ve left a tip for the cleaning crew in prob 3 years spectacularly clean

Guests however were a nightmare and rude Signs asking them to dry off from the pool before walking through the lobby ignored all day long 1 staff members job is to wipe up the floor and elevators all day long People smoking pot and cigarettes in thier rooms fills the hallways all day and night even tho they have balconys just being inconsiderate Also slamming doors and yelling down the hallways til 3 am

We stayed on the second floor for 3 days The room was a nice size The staff was pleasant

The complimentary breakfast was nice and hot and many available spaces to eat The bar drinks were also very good I gave it 3 stars because although the drinks were nice the bartender touches the top of the black straws with her hands When I seen that twice, I went with the bigger ones That’s not sanitary The indoor pool area was cold Not the pool the area, so when you walk in it’s cold in there I never got in the pool There were towels left on the floor and chairs About time I went back later that night it was more towels and even on the balcony chairs The biggest issue was the room wasn’t that clean It was a receipt that wasn’t ours in the fridge The utensil drawer had water in it One of the bed spreads had a hole in it The wall near the table looked like it had blood on it As if someone killed a bug on the wall It really grossed me out! This hotel needs an entire new cleaning crew The rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom Also to stay on top of cleanliness in other areas in the hotel

Arielle Poole

An amazing place Probably one of the best hotels in the OC area We came here with 7 people, for a small vacation

The room we got fit us all perfectly, except for the fact that our 7-year-old had to sleep on the floor But of course he didn’t mind 😉 The beds were very comfortable, the pull out could be better, we put two teenagers on it and they were very uncomfortable I think they could be better, but the service and employees are amazing Never had a problem and all are just all around kind and very helpful The breakfast is good, only complaint is the maple syrup, tastes watery and more like honey then syrup The pools are so nice, and the balcony is so amazing to stand on at night and look at the city, since it faces one of the main roads Would totally come back and recommend 💯 Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Marriott!!

We had asked to change our room due to a cleanliness issue and the front desk attendant was very helpful in assigning us a new room The new room was much better – you could smell how much cleaner it was the moment you walked in This new room was even on a higher floor with a better view

There was a problem with the air conditioner unit in the room where it would randomly turn off We called down about this and the attendant said this was an ongoing issue He said he would attempt to reset it It still didn’t work by morning, but it would randomly kick back on then turn off again Thankfully, the weather was cooler and there was a nice breeze we could take advantage of by opening the balcony door The location is great You are within walking distance of Fagers, Denny’s, and a cafe that serves breakfast on the corner Parking was not an issue The bar on site has nice relaxed seating options and windows that face the bay Overall, we would probably give this place another try in the future Although there were a couple issues, the employees did a great job trying to remedy those issues and never made us feel like a burden

Pat and Marc at the front desk are fantastic We stayed in April for our anniversary, just my husband and I

and then returned for memorial day with our 5 year old son They are extremely friendly and accommodating, and we’re wonderful with our little guy The housekeeping staff, bartenders, and all other staff are just as great Our room was very clean, and if we needed anything, they were quick to fulfill the request as housekeeping is only provided upon request now Which was fine for us! The pools were clean and our son had a blast We enjoy staying at double tree for all of these reasons, and THE VIEW! Definitely recommend!

We just returned from our stay here and I really want to express my deepest gratitude to the management and staff At the beginning of the summer, my Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer A very kind and generous family friend booked our family a very nice ocean view room so that my family could stay they for a couple days

My sister, who was staying in a condo close by and her entire family was also able to come spend time with us at this location I want to particularly thank Mario Santos and manager, Jacob Robins for their service that was above and beyond reasonable expectations You see, my friend had booked a Tuesday night and Wednesday night for us, but after a recent ER visit with my Dad, I got the dates mixed up and accidentally came in on Wednesday At first, it looked like we were only going to be able to stay one night, primarily because the hotel was completely booked for Thursday night However, Mario had compassion on us and our situation and advocated for us I don’t know how he did it, but Jacob figured out a way to allow us to stay in our same room on Thursday night at no extra charge We will never forget Mario and Jacob’s kindness to us, nor will my sister and I (along with our families) ever forget the wonderful time we were able to spend together with our Dad Pat, another staff person showed particularly good service as well and were very impressed with the hospitality and kindness all of their staffThis time was enhanced by the outstanding amenities at this location Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool with an ocean view, the large common area complete with gas fire pit, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and games to enjoy, and of course instant access to the beach If you want to spend a wonderful time you’ll never forget with your family, I don’t think there is a better location in all of Ocean City

Robin Detweiler

Our stay was excellent mostly because of the amenities that came along with the hotel We stayed Thursday-Sunday The roof top pool and pool bar were fantastic

We also enjoyed the location as we were right on the beach We didn’t have too much noise at night, which was helpful because we had our 7 year old and this is his first time staying away on vacation The one thing that didn’t sit right with me was the comforter on one of our beds had pink/reddish stains all over it We peeled back both comforters and didn’t use them all weekend because we just weren’t sure they were very clean We would have liked extra sheets available in the closet or just clean comforters I had called the front desk once during our stay and asked for fresh towels and for housekeeping to come change our trash We did get fresh towels so we were grateful, though we felt bad about the trash because nobody came to change it once during our stay By the time we were leaving we had some recycling, etc and just felt wrong leaving it a little messy There was also no complimentary breakfast (of course we knew about this prior) but I do believe that would make for a nice meal touch considering Marlin Moon has excellent food and that’s the restaurant in their hotel Otherwise a very nice stay with friendly housekeepers and front desk staff The bartenders at the pool bar were great Overall a really great weekend for us Thank you!

Our third stay here and first time with new owners Life long OCMD vacationer here! The good: staff is friendly and the Oceana room had new flooring, AC unit and paint We like the new lighter breakfast options

The bad: the room was so dusty! The obvious things were clean, but no one cleaned the debris and dust from prior ceiling work The ceiling fan, shade tops, lamps, tops of mirrors and art has rubble and dust We asked for it to be cleaned again and even tipped $20 After they cleaned again, I went over some of it with a damp cloth and it was still dusty and dirty The mattress is newer but super cheap, pillows are small for a king bed and cheap, the bed had a comforter insert but no cover on it! Toiletries were very low-end Window shades are thin and all night long we could see the boardwalk lights through the windows We paid $549 per night holiday weekend—we hoped for a nicer experience The beach at 10th st has loud music now, we could hear it from our room—not the Inn’s fault but giving a heads upOur AC unit had no power and they tried to fix it but wound up using an extension cord We noticed many electrical hazards—overloaded wall sockets, for example A fire hazard someone should look intoWe won’t be back, even though the staff is wonderful It’s just not that nice any more, especially for the price

Dawn Ahluwalia

Have stayed here 4 times two times with first owners and we where very please rooms where clean breakfast was amazing owners very friendly since the new owners have taken over we stay two more times first I was not pleased at all the floors where nit clean sink was pulling away from the wall shower curtain fell down pillows are ridiculous old and hard so I thought maybe new owners where just styling in so I went this year to give it another try I was very unhappy at $45000 a night for a bed and breakfast I feel that breakfast is not anywhere near what it should be it was more like poor Continental breakfast no coffee after 10 am no coffee or tea offered midday the sink was falling of the wall pillows like bricks floors dirty … I’m sad this place is not what it used to be no good morning thanx for staying nit much on hospitality for the amount we pain would expect more it’s a shame

Carl Espenshade

Trying to be fair hereThe place would have been perfect had a Noreaster not blown thoughBut with that said the breakfast isn’t much to talk about I could get the same food from a 7-11The entire house was heated except our room and we froze and couldn’t use the shower or bath tub due to how cold it was in the roomSo if things were better weather wise maybe a better trip for Mothers day but since we had to leave to room to get warm it kinda changed the mood

This was one of the best stays I’ve had in a while The staff was polite and helpful The breakfast( chicken & waffle ) was great! The room was very clean, the bathroom was very up to date along with the rest of the room! There was an incident with linen, I told the front desk and it was handled IMMEDIATELY! Not only did they fix the issue I was also offered a breakfast voucher that covered 2 meals

I travel Often and lately it’s hard to come by a room that is well kept and maintained the way it should be I will stay here anytime that I visit Ocean City!

Stacie Duncan

My husband and I took our daughter to Ocean City for her birthday She is 7 and loves the beach and the lights of OC I mentioned in my reservation notes why we were coming

The staff gave us a top floor room so that she could see the ocean, the bay and the city lit up at night They even left a bag of goodies on our door handle and the nicest birthday card for her Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean We will most definitely be back! Thank you for making our stay so memorable and our daughter’s birthday special!

A hidden gem tucked back on the Bay the likes you will not find any where else in Ocean City From the complimentary cocktail and fresh baked warm cookies at check-in, to the sumptuous over size suites, this boutique hotel is a wonderful experience of old-world charm and service that most hotels have long since forgotten It’s a private property that’s still within walking distance to everything you might need

I can’t wait to go back!

We have been coming to the Lighthouse Club at Fagers Island in Ocean City Maryland for nearly 20 years! We have given gifts to people to stay hereThe first time we stayed—it was magical! It is a charming hotel; its setting on the bay is lovely—but at this time we feel it is quite datedThe furniture is the same as it was 20 years ago! Really, not a lot has changed! The grout in the bathroom needs replacing; the jacuzzi is nice but there are no handle bars in the shower which would be a plus; the rugs are worn and not as clean as I would anticipate; the mattress is old

The Lighthouse Club needs refurbishment and Iam sad to say I will not come here again, will not recommend to my friends, and will be giving any presents to stay here!!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in We stayed here for New Year’s Eve a year ago I was impressed with the lighthouse structure and how spacious the room was

We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the view The staff even gave us free home-baked cookies and free champagne and swag to celebrate the new year! So pleasantly surprised They went above and beyond If I go to Ocean City again I’d love to stay here again

The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was fantastic The breakfast was good and coffee was available all day long I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the set up of the rooms

The hotel is also pet friendly (a big plus to all of the pet owners out there) We will likely stay at this hotel again during our next visit to Ocean City

Pros: Room was clean, parking was plentiful, close to beach so we could easily walk over, pool was heated and open late, lots of great racial diversity visiting Room was sizableCon: cable in the room was a challenge without channel guide and the cable didn’t list them on the screen

Coffee was really watery on multiple days so we just gave up and went to local cafes No milk alternatives

25 starsPros: walking distance to the beach, room was clean and modern, breakfast included, and ample parking

Cons: No balcony to put beach gear and they need to add an outdoor station to wash the sand off your stuff and feet before coming in Also, the breakfast area is tiny and was very busy most morningsThe pool area has a shower and foot wash but you end up needing to drag everything into the pool area to use it Not ideal

Very nice boardwalk hotel Great location! Convenient to so many places to eat and shop The room was nice, bed was comfortable

The only thing I didnt like was the first morning there we had put the do no disturb sign on the door and went to breakfast, but when we came back housekeeping had already entered and been through our room Not a really big deal, more of a comfort level thing We were on the 3rd floor and one night there was a group of men on the large communal patio area below our balcony and they were very loud into the morning hours Finally an employee asked them to quiet down and thankfully we got some sleep Nice beach area in front of the hotel too We would absolutely stay there again

We have been going to Park Place for the past 10+ yrs We love Park Place from the location to how clean it is Some of the front desk people don’t have much of a personality while others did always greet us when we came in the lobby The house cleaning crew were very friendly

The one thing you may want yo watch with ocean front is they have a side that has the restaurant deck seating on and thats the room we had and it was very hard to sit there while people were eating on the deck You may want to request the other side I really don’t have anything bad to say about this place other than the prices have jumped so high practically doubled in price than what we paid in the past ever since they are under new ownership It’s not worth the prices when you are basically in a two bed hotel room They claim that’s how it is across the boardwalk however the previous owners were different and not greedy and accommodating I will say I was able to keep my rate this year due to making the reservations under the previous owners and I appreciate that But I have been so stressed about not being able to afford this place that we have gone to the past 10+ yrs and made many memories with my mom and daughter Hopefully they will reevaluate their prices or accommodate the people that have been dedicated in staying with them and referring many people to Park Place

Room was clean and spacious Location is great – access to the boardwalk from lobby of hotel Kids loved it and already want to go back! My only complaint was the restaurant wasn’t open much (probably because they weren’t yet in their busy season)

Also, as a random side note, the in-room coffee maker is a 4-cup drip coffee maker I wish hotels would switch to something that accepted k-cups They are so much more convenient when traveling!

Very nice hotel, but really need to work to improve staff I realize they were still in the process of preparing for the season to open, but the staff didn’t seem to really care about the current occupants Room attendant enter the room without knocking or announcing themselves(even with “Do not Disturb” placard on door) while getting dressed

The small beach setting was very nice , but again 10 min with a rake to clear sand at water edge would have made a large difference Very nice hotel , just need to work with improving the staff

Overall, this is a nice hotel to visit for a quick family getaway The rooms are nice and the service was great “Splurge” for the waterfront view (it’s worth it)

However, the parking spaces are a bit tight for a large SUV or truck (I deducted one star) Additionally, I believe that the hotel could benefit by having some additional parking spaces, but parking is FREE This is also a dog friendly hotel, so feel free to bring your pet

Everything is spotless and the staff is awesome The manager Stacy (I think she is a manager) is so accommodating and personable She is efficient and professional

Every hospitality business should strive to have someone like Stacy The bartender (don’t know his name) is awesome as well Very responsive and makes great drinks I love that they are pet friendly and do a “Yappy Hour” on Wednesdays Despite being pet friendly, the place is clean and spotless Highly recommend this hotel & bar They have a beautiful view of the bay, which is perfect for watching sunsets
