I absolutely loved this hotel for our trip! I studied a LOT of past reviews to get a sense of what to expect and I’m glad I did: The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable If you can upgrade, I recommend it Our room fit a very comfortable bed and a stunning bathroom and it was PERFECT for me and my partner

There wasn’t a fridge which I expected, so I brought an ice chest which carried us over There is no AC, but you don’t need AC at the beach! If you are okay with noise (which we were), you can leave the windows open and feel cool just by that Breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were just as great I appreciate all the help, and will return here next time we are in Monterey It was an easy walk downtown or to Cannery Road 10/10

We spent 2 nights in the 1110 and it is a great hotel The staff are very helpful and communicative The breakfast was a highlight of the stay, we tried the pancakes, the scrambled eggs and the musli They were delicious

We also had dinner and drinks on the roof bar, the food was great again and competitive with other places The hotel is definitely on the way up and can only get better in my opinion Would definitely book again

My first time in Monterey and I could not have been happier Staying at Hotel 1110 was perfect, easy to get to and located in a great area full of things to do and see The room was cozy and gave off a really good vibe, I felt so at home staying here

The people were just fantastic and the food was better than most hotels I’ve stayed at in the past Be sure to have a drink at the bar with others staying there and you’ll also enjoy great conversations

A lively yet cozy place for a short getaway Loved the amount of seating and lounge spaces My room was comfortable and spacious

I appreciated how close the hotel is to Carmel and Pacific Grove When we needed anything in our room, the service by staff was great They were warm, attentive, and quick Plenty of activities to keep yourself entertained hereThe only area for improvements is cleanliness of the lobby where the space is shared with all guests The water dispenser with fruit in the lobby was rarely filled during our stay, but there are other water stations around the hotel to fill up water bottlesAnother perk: From what I saw, it’s also a very family-friendly place

This location has been our quick weekend getaway for about twenty years Before Covid, it was in desperate need of updates, everything looked so outdated (but we still loved the staff, food, service and the amenities) It was such a pleasant surprise to see it completely remodeled

From the bedrooms, to the lobby/ restaurant/ coffee bar… We loved the cleanliness, the staff, food and just about everything about this hotel Beautiful fire pits, pools, golf course, table tennis and so many other things for people of all ages to enjoy As always, we loved our stay

Athan Rebelos

We had a great couple of nights in in mid December The weather was stormy, which we anticipated but our room along* the golf course was was attractive, clean and comfortable The staff was excellent

Check in was pleasant and accommodating We are and drank throughout our stay at the resort, the bartender was wonderful and we loved all the fire pits We enjoyed the hot tub furthest from the lobby, it’s more secluded and there were no childrenOverall we had a refreshing stay and would recommend this resort to anyone who just wants a comfortable and refreshing break

Stayed at The Old Monterey Inn over this last weekend with my husband for a romantic getaways from our busy day to day Arriving at the inn I felt like I was transported to another world The grounds are spectacular and the inn itself is stunning

There was ample parking and the inn is away from any main roads making it quiet and peaceful We stayed in the Dovecote room on the third floor and the room was stunning From the ivy covered window to the cozy bed the whole room felt so welcoming and peaceful The breakfast each morning was delicious and delivered right to our room The Innkeeper Wendy was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed I highly recommended staying at this beautiful inn

Greg Wheeler

Where to start? That’s easy Wendy, the manager, was stupendously gracious in making us, my wife Linda and me, welcome and getting us set up in our room The inn is old and well kept – again to Wendy

The gallery does a nice job of giving you a picture of things The gardens are great to walk around and a fantastic place to have the daily wine and cheese – thanks again Wendy Breakfast in the dining room was definitely something to write home about – one of the best we’ve had, and we have stayed at a lot of inns So what can I say? If inns are your thing (even if they are not), a stay at the Old Monterey Inn will be utterly enjoyable!

E Tadeo

A must stay if you are plan to visit the Monterey Bay area Charming with an old world style, this quaint bed and breakfast is a great place to stay after a busy day of touring the area It is centrally located to Carmel, Pacific Grove and downtown Monterey

The Inn is tucked away from the hustle and bustle There grounds are perfect to have afternoon wine and cheese, read a book, have a cup of tea or just watch the deer that visit The cozy common area is a nice place to read a book by the fire when the Monterey fog rolls in The rooms are pleasantly decorated and comfortable The breakfast was tasty and filling and just the right amount to start you off on your day of adventure Wendy, the Inn keeper is kind and friendly She is truly the hidden gem of the Inn

Laurie Rich

I was excited to stay here after booking with a very nice gentleman on the phone who was very helpful in my room choice The property is lovely, the view is beautiful, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff are very nice and welcoming It’s first come, first serve, on nearby street parking

They have 3 very small parking spots on-premise, but my large Tesla wouldn’t fit in one I was very disappointed to learn no one would help me with my bags If you’re paying over $700/night all in, you expect valet service, even if they cannot enter your room given their COVID protocol Also, you’ll not receive maid service, which they state on their website and let me know when checking in My room appeared clean at first glance; however, I noticed hairs on the bathroom floor in numerous places that were not my color/size (and I hadn’t been in the bathroom at that point) and also hairs on the left sitting chair by the window There were enough hairs on the bathroom floor/baseboard that I felt like it just hadn’t been cleaned properly and didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower the next morning I went to the complimentary breakfast the next morning and was not impressed For the high prices they charge for rooms, you expect higher standards I checked out early and wasn’t asked if I enjoyed my stay or anything else I believe they might have generated an auto text after I left, but that’s really not the same as being personally asked I left very disappointed and felt overcharged for what I received

Trish Equinoa

This place is wonderful! The grounds are very well maintained and the accommodations are so comfortable The location was perfect, it was about a 20 minute walk to Cannery Row from the inn which goes by fast because the walk is so easy and gorgeous We came here to get away for the weekend and I couldn’t have come home more refreshed

It was exactly what I needed 😊❤️

Jim Hytken

Superb bed and breakfast More like a very small intimate hotel The room that we stayed at was right next to very good street parking so we only had a few steps to get to get to our room

PROs:Well furnished room with upscale decorationsNo TV (relaxing)Excellent staff and helpfulBeautiful groundsOutstanding full breakfastMuch better than any hotel I have visitedWalking distance to restaurant and running walking pathCONs:No TV (if you really want one)Small room (but perfect for a couple)A bit priceyStreet parking for the most part (easy parking though)All in all worth a return visit if I’m in the area

Great location, amazing service and an overall beautiful stay The inn is vintage and very clean; antiquated in some areas, but to be expected and enjoyed Free appetizers and wine in the evening, free breakfast in the morning

There was something wrong with the radiator in our room, so management gave us a free upgrade to one of the top-tier rooms The two men working on 4/16/22 (James and Jeremy I think?) deserve a raise — their service was THAT good!

H G

Comfortable weekend stay, loved the views and atmosphere of the property Yes, the rooms were “dated”; they’re meant to be and worked just fine Great breakfast service! Parking in the hotel lot can get a little crowded, but you can also park on Ocean View, or even on 4th – there’s a side door with keypad access into the hotel courtyard

Greg Weir

Our room had a perfect view of the waves crashing against The Rocky Shore As we sat with our complimentary wine and snacks four deer came up to the window and ate the grasses in the yard Along the shore there were sea lions basking in the sand

We were told they were just about to give birthThe common area on the first floor also has a very wide view of the sea A big breakfast made to order with table service was served there with fresh baked muffins or Apple bread every morningIt’s a charming Victorian home built in 1899 , furnished with antiques a billiards table and even a grand pianoA Pedestrian/ bike path leads to downtown or Cannery row and in the other direction is a monarch butterfly refugeThe stack seem to always be available to help us with anything we needed It was a very charming and romantic three nights stay

You can walk to the Fisherman’s Wharf (about a mile one way) and 25 miles to the Cannery RowFood at the restaurant Pacific Grille) was good

Hotel is in good location, easy access to near by attractions Rooms are okay, clean, a bit old and nothing special Parking is 15$, continental breakfast (very limited choices, just bread and cereal) is 10$, menu breakfast is 16$

Customer service is poor, no special preferences to gold member in terms of the accommodation, upgrades, connecting rooms etc even after putting a special request before coming in I understand rooms are sold out, but I requested connecting room 2 days before coming in, and they didn’t put any effort in accommodating that I would suggest to check-in in hilton honors app and select rooms of your choice upfront and don’t rely on staff for any special accommodations

There is fireplace, dining sets, microwave and refrigerator in the roomThe area is quiet and safeThey have a quick grab and go complimentary breakfast as wellUnfortunately when we stay there was a power outage in Pacific Grove and Monterey But the host tried their best to accommodate all the needsMy whole family enjoyed our stay here

Kaitlin Madigan

This is a charming inn just steps from the beach We came for the Big Sur Marathon and it was close enough for a short drive to the bus on race morning The room was a good size with a fireplace

With the windows open you can hear the ocean Lots of great places to eat within a short walk The owners are lovely and welcoming and made us feel at home I want to run this race again and will absolutely stay here again

Chris Hawkins

In a glorious million dollar beach neighborhood: sweet light house 1 block away, butterfly sanctuary around the corner, elements of Carmel coast views, mansions and beach, so accessible walking, biking or short drive Relaxing fireplace room and cute stylish bathroom including soaps etc We slept soundly in this quiet security

Pod cup coffee maker Liked the positive and super courteous staff Parking spaces seemed foot wider than standard The inn sparkles with clean neatness, appearing new inside and out The lobby: free snacks and beverages all day, fresh morning donuts Inviting front deck with a fire pit and new furniture On my 7 am walk over to tide pools, watched a deer in the dunes Vacation dreams met!

Charm Tajan

Cute inn, loved that we can park our cars in front of our room The neighborhood area is quiet Only down side is the walls are so thin that you can hear other people on the other side

It would of been more accommodating if there was an email to let everyone know that check in would be at their other hotel Instead of us having to try to check in and find a post and then having to drive to the other place to pick up our key Other than that our room was spacious and nice We got the King size bed studio with kitchen More spacious then the other rooms our friends stayed in

Justine Messner

My family took a long car ride to get there and we ended up getting there an hour before check in They let us check in early with no problem and we’re really nice about it We booked the cabin with two queen beds and it was like home away from home

My son has autism and lots of changes can be overwhelming, but this cabin allowed him to feel like he was home There was a full kitchenette and mini fridge so all his favorite snacks and meals came with us The bathroom was large and the tub was great for a bubble bath It was close to the aquarium, and the beach, and the butterfly sanctuary, and the lighthouse The staff were super friendly and overall we had a great time there Would definitely book again!

j garcia

Like others have said, the walls are thin The owners inherited the construction so it is what it isWe love the location

It is a quiet area It is 3 miles to the Monterey Aquarium and 5 miles to Dust Bowl Brewing via the Ocean View trail We are used to walking those distances so it was perfect for usThe front desk staff were all so courteous I walked away smiling after every interaction

Picos

Very well done lodging Everything is clean, EVERYBODY is incredibly kind and the views are amazing You can hear the waves crashing on the beach when it’s quiet and you can wake up and go straight to shopping on cannery row

The breakfast in the morning is super nice and just goes to sure how far they’re willing to go The copper accents in the elevator and in the roof are amazing and really brings out the history in the building It’s a beautiful place and I would go back in a heart beat

Laurene Baldridge

An enchanting beach getaway that will make your wishes come true We stayed in a king size, Ocean view, all-accessible room on the second floor They do have an elevator, which is nice

There was a couple of chairs in front of the fireplace and a welcome note, along with a bottle of wine and chocolates for our Anniversary The bed was very comfortable, with cozy bedding As we sat at our windowseats, overlooking the bright blue Pacific Ocean, eating our delicious complementary breakfast, we were so happy And at our decision of choosing this unique boutique Inn

James Barrett

My wife and I wanted to spend a weekend away We chose the Spindrift Inn based on the reviews We wanted an ocean front hotel

We chose the deluxe king bed corner unit because we wanted to splurge and stay somewhere nice Check in was easy, and we got to our room (201) ready to enjoy the view Little did we know, the “corner” view was of an wall, and an antenna tower Plus, I felt like we walked into my aunt’s parlor “Boutique” doesn’t mean shabby Old furniture, poorly constructed bed canopy, water stains on the bathroom counter Also, the dumpsters for the restaurant are on the same side (west) as our room Noise and smellOn a positive note, the old chairs were comfortable, which was good because we spent most of the weekend sitting in the chairs enjoying the ocean view The breakfast was good, but 30 minutes late both days

We were on a road trip down the coast and stayed at two other best westerns so I wasn’t expecting much, but this Best Western was definitely the nicest we’ve ever been to It’s located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is townhouse style There are garages underneath the rooms where you can park your car for free

It felt very safe, however it will be tight if you have a big truck There is also some uncovered parking available The staff at the front desk were very polite and professional, we got a family suite and it was nice to have the extra space The bathroom was a little dated but the room was very clean It came with a microwave, mini fridge, and extra sink We also got a balcony The updated rooms in the pictures on google is not the room we received but it was still nice accommodations If you’re not familiar with Monterey, Pacific Grove is a great spot to stay It’s close to everything but not in a busy area

2guyskayaking

I have stayed at a lot of places in Monterey, but this places is on my top 3 Best western is a huge company but sometimes lack quality This place has all that and better

I stayed in a horrible motel and called here same day and they got me a room To make things better, the man at the desk actually talks with customers about their day and what brings them here I don’t leave reviews but this place has been superb Beds are so comfortable I don’t even want to go out because of them Couch has a bed of the wife gets upset with you too! Haha but overall this place is really a 10/5 but it’s definitely worth the money, and parking is so simple In a quiet part of town too

Krista Collins

This Best Western is located just a few miles from the aquarium, shops, restaurants, etc It is quite and cozy I like that our room had a door to separate the two beds

This room had a small kitchenette, balcony, and was spacious It comes with free continental breakfast which had breakfast sandwiches, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal and a few other items

The website is a bit deceiving (may be old pictures), however my friend & I stayed in the back house so not sure about front house rooms It was clean but boring, old ugly furniture and we had to take cold showers in the morning We were not happy about that! We were excited and couldn’t wait to see this old vintage house but it was just a disappointment, expected more for price

The breakfast was good but nothing fancy Will not be staying there again I was also told money wouldn’t be taken out until check out but it was before we even got there Oh another big issue, no parking for guest and if you park on front street all night was told we’d get a ticket

I had very bad experience here, I haved called and booked the room, the receptionist took all the details including my credit card details When i went to check in she said the room that i booked was given to other couple and she said she confused which is silly because when assigning the room she has to check id, when she realized tat she made mistake she has to atleast inform me that room was sold out, i drove 2 hours to stay there 😭

This place is charming but not necessarily comfortable We were in the “Jennifer” room Think it said partial ocean view which was a stretch

The TV sits on a small table and is so low that if you watch in bed your feet obstruct the view The toilet paper requires a bit of contortion to reach and the step into the shower might be problematic for some (as might the narrow, steep stair cases in the Inn) The site where we booked said free parking but it is on street parking not a dedicated lot Staff and location were fine

This 24 room estate at Pebble Beach did not disappoint! From the meticulous attention to detail to every staff member addressing me by name, this resort is world class The resort provided a Lexus for us to do the 17 Mile Drive, we had breakfast in a basket delivered each morning, enjoyed drinks & a charcuterie board each night The room is filled with everything you need to make your stay absolutely spectacular

We stayed in a spa suite You can walk to the Lodge and the Pebble Beach resort and the spa is connected to the resort I cannot speak highly enough about the facility, staff, and the service! You will not regret splurging on this resort!

Clean comfy rooms, excellent service and perfect, centralized location! Staff is very friendly and love dogs Service is excellent and helpful to answer questions about the area The outside dining for their restaurant is super nice looking with the fire

It’s a step down into a patio and privacy is additionally provided by plants and arbour Pool is clean and warmed around 81F They have a little grass section with provided doggy bags from a dispenser though you can freely walk your pet anywhere There are complimentary ice makers outside nearby rooms The area is very safe, we walked around the city at night, lots of options for eating near by! We will come again though may opt for a bigger room

The beds were comfortable and luxurious The room was clean The info folder mentioned a heater control for fireplace was on the side of the fireplace, but it was on another wall near second bedroom and we didn’t find it til morning

The small portable heater worked well however The history of the Inn is interesting, old photos on hallWe enjoyed the walk down to Lover’s Point, beautiful area The surrouding neighborhood is lovelyMy husband an I were there one night, April 31, 2022, as we travelled further north The staff was friendly and helpfulParking on site was nice

Steve Denison

Location is perfect The website should be more specific about the fact there are two houses, one on the back of property Very surprised at the location of our room

In the back, it had a balcony With a tree up against it, you could see a slight ocean view off to the side We were aware the house was old but the house and room had a smell Called and was told that’s the room we picked and nothing could be done We did not specifically pick it nor would have True the parking is very tight Just investigate the location of you room

Cameron Fisher

The good: booking and check in was very easy, with door codes sent by text It was also by far the best value accommodation in town and the room was very clean which is the main thingThe okay: the parking lot is small, and the spaces are very tight

Myself, and another guest both had to park on the street despite a space being available Granted, I’m in a full size pickup but the other guest was in a normal sized car (although I reckon I could’ve got their car in the space) This wasn’t a huge issue as we were both able to park on the street directly outside on this occasionThe bad: it should be noted that this is an old property, and so the floors do creek a lot, especially when the guests above us walked around Not much that can be done about it though The windows also allowed a lot of Street noise throug although again, just a problem with the property being oldThe shower didn’t have great water pressure which was slightly frustrating And as with most propertie the area there isn’t ac Not the end of the world with their climate, but keep in mind you may need to have the windows open which will leave you subject to the street noise

The inn at Spanish Bay is a great place to spend a few nights The service is impeccable and the staff is dedicated to making your stay something to remember Location overlooking the Pacific Ocean is jaw-dropping

I would encourage you to sit outside at the bar in the evening and listen to the bagpipes they play every night If it is a cold night they have blankets to sit on your lap and they have fire pits going you can order drinks and food as well We ordered room service for breakfast and love their eggs Benedict We also ate dinner in the conference room where our veg was held One night we had all you can eat lobster tails and it was quite delicious One of my favorite desserts was their cream Brulé This is a very high and hotel with a high end customer experience

This is a 5-star resort bin Pebble Beach, California I’ve stayed here several times and enjoy dining or just hanging out in the lounge, listening to the amazing trio Thursday through Saturday nights IRS it outside by the fire pits and enjoy a hot ir cold drink and fabulous appetizers from Roy’s Gave and Jackie are great servers and have become good friends, as have others

Yes, it’s a ritzy resort, but it has something for everyone here, from the classiest suites to a simple hot chocolate Come and enjoy both The view and the people you’ll meet, alone, are worth a visit!!

Kristin Wardlow

The hospitality that we experienced here was absolutely wonderful Everyone from the hotel manager, to the front desk, and even the golf pros at every course, acknowledged our anniversary All of the employees that we encountered were great

Our room was cozy and the hotel patios and sitting areas were ideal for unwinding after busy days of golf and sight seeing We can’t wait to visit again!

Loved this cute little place The service was great! Plenty of parking Lots of walking trails nearby

The beds are horrible I hope they change all their mattresses out for newer better ones The shower heads are very low so if you’re taller than 5 6 Could be an issue Loved that they are dog friendly Tea and coffee in the lobby was sweet

Jim Anderson

BEWARE: This Motel is falling apart and ‘Management’ doesn’t care!We have stayed before and enjoyed it, mostly due to the location and the fact it’s dog friendly, but this stay was horrible and a rip off at $400 a nightWe were checked into a room with a broken shower and had to repack and move (after dinner) We were placed into a DIRTY, un-sanitized room (Covid precautions?) with a broken phone and kitchen lighting

All huge safety hazards By law hotels have to have a working phone for emergenciesThere was even a dresser drawer filled with dirty laundry, including crusty, gooey underwear! So nasty!Dirty counters, dishes and missing supplies Other peoples bathroom supplies left in the shower I doubt the beding was clean So gross!I asked for some sort of refund and they only offered $110! We paid $1400 for this, ridiculous! The night guy trying to help was swamped (he was doing his best), so I didn’t want to give him a worse night and opted to deal with a manager laterI asked to speak to one in the morning and was told they would contact me to discuss They NEVER did Had to ask again the next day and was told “yeah, so I told them and they said that’s all we can offer, sorry”No call or anythingI even emailed the contact on the website and NEVER got a reply that way eitherOn top of this our neighbors were super loud and had multiple barking dogs and didn’t careWe won’t be back unless serious action is takenwe deserve to have at least one night refunded, Minimally! I’m so embarrassed I chose this place and ever recommend it Rip off Poor management

This place you better make sure you put what your wanting in amenities For you get what you pay forIt was quaint Each room is different

In my case; three different families came All rooms were quite Different Loved the atmosphere It felt so relaxing There are multiple upon multiple places; inns, for it forks It took us on the second try that it was on the left side two entrances Deer, several other things like the Monarch site to see Make sure you stay on the path; otherwise, you will be told to Also, don’t touch; i mean it, there’s a fine if you touch the butterflies There are a lot of things to do there; buy, visit, and more You need a week just to be able to take everything in I stayed 2 days;it wasn’t enough

Below Standard! I have stayed here several times over the last 10 years I haven’t for a few years The new management have seemed to have neglected the property

There was garbage all over the patio I had to wait for towels, and I had to pull hair out of the bathtub Felt really horrible and not comfortable at all I left after a few hours the fireplace also did not work I felt so disappointed as I had driven all the up from the Bay for some R&R I called and asked for a Refund as I didn’t even stay the night They still haven’t refunded my stay I will not return there

This review is for the Rosedale Inn Thought this place was nice enough until late at night I started to itch Pulled out the phone light and found a flea on me that promptly jumped off

It’s been a week and I still feel itchy from it We won’t go back This could have been the only flea there but I doubt it In the morning I found another flea and it was full of blood Who’s? Idk I killed the flea for you You’re welcome

Rebecca Gulley

We have here a few times over the years and have been extremely happy Unfortunately this stay was quite differentOur room was dark and dingy

Wallpaper was peeling off in multiple locations throughout the room A light was out in the bathroom, there was mildew around the outside of the shower, the tub had chips in it, the bathroom door handle was loose, there was a stain on the white comforter and there was a used cleaning sponge left on the bar/sink counter A car was parked outside of our room that had cobwebs all over it Obviously it hadn’t moved in monthspossibly one of the workers or owners?? It’s sad because this property used to be one of our favorite

Wonderful and charming hotel! We stayed in the one bedroom, dog friend cottage (C-1) and it was lovely Has a fenced patio, and a great little living room with fire place and breakfast table Nice light, quite

PERFECT location Walk to Lover’s Point beach, walk to restaurants and bars, etc Great staff and the most delicious homemade scones! Would 100% recommend

Laura Schwinck

My husband and I spent a few days at this amazing and beautiful hotel Everything was clean, staff very friendly and the hotel was beautifully decorated We loved the delicious breakfast of on site made scones and granola to accompany the yogurt bowls with various fruits

In fact we loved the breakfast so much that since we have returned home we have the same yogurt bowl every morning In the evening they offer wine and different treats and it is so comfortable to sit in the living room and relax after a day of excursions Next time we plan on staying longer because there is so much to do in the surrounding area and so much fun to come back to this beautiful place in the evening

Greg Francis

I stayed here for three nights in April 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed it Three blocks from stunning ocean views and one block from the main street of Pacific Grove, you couldn’t ask for a better location Historic rooms that make you feel you are in a magical past make up for the small size of the rooms and lack of modern amenities

Complimentary wine, baked goods, and breakfast are all great touches, and the staff are polite and service-oriented The lobby/common room is also cozy and great for relaxing, playing games, or reading at night, and the garden is wonderful for the same during the day Highly recommend
