What a wonderful find! We came to the area for a lacrosse tournament weekend and when I booked this motel I will admit

I didn’t have high expectations because the price was a little too good to be true But I crossed my fingers and booked it anyway Boy am I glad I did! This is such a cute and quaint little motel right on the beach with a walkover to the sand right out front The staff was so nice and welcoming, our room was creatively decorated and clean, beds were comfortable Will definitely recommend, it was a great little getaway!

I was a little disappointed after getting in the roomI stayed at this hotel/villa while vacationing to see my friend get married The outside was beautiful and reminded me of something you might see in Italy

The walls were made of natural stones, I believe (could be completely wrong), but they were stunning Walking into the lobby/place to check in, I was taken aback by the underwhelming looks of the inside It was outdated The owner was kind and helpful She gave a lot of information to help me throughout my stay thereWhen I got to my room, I opened the little storm door leading to my room door and saw that it was a little older, no update happened, but gave it a very vintage look Walking into the room itself, I wasn’t surprised to see such a big bed in a small room The flooring was completely tiled and cold There were few normal outlets in the room You could see light peeping through from the holes in the windows (painted over shutters) and there were some ants running around on the floorI took a shower in a fairly large shower The bathroom seemed cleaned until I stepped into the shower itself, where I found pieces of mildew fall from the tile when I turned on the water Stepping in, you could see it wasn’t completely scrubbed They did have a lot of towels in there, so I didn’t feel bad using an extra towel for my hair, while sharing the room with another personI was happy that the location was EXTREMELY close to where my friend was getting married, but I was disappointed in my stay I’m not sure I will be coming back anytime soon

I stayed for three nights and loved the grounds On the other hand I was quoted one price and charged my credit card another price when I contacted them they basically said it was my fault that they had to put me in another room and charge me more I’m on a fixed income because I have leukemia so my money is always tight it’s people like this that make America so greedy

So wanted to give this place another chance Has so much potential, excellent location, huge rooms BUT

The rooms smelled like mold, the windows don’t open and are inoperable We had to leave the next day due to asthma and allergies Please please update Tear the carpet out, get screens for the windows Who needs AC all year round?

We had an absolutely AMAZING time at the Island Cottage Inn!! Our room was so clean, inviting, and bright- truly made us feel relaxed and like we were getting away Amazing location right next to the beach, where we had a private area to ourselves Restaurants were walking distance, and we tried out recommendations given to us by Mica – they did not disappoint! The breakfast was SUPER tasty as well, banana bread and muffins are a must-try! Overall, Mica and everyone did a wonderful, wonderful job of making us feel welcome and right at home

I’m having true vacation withdrawals but in such a good way thanks to the beautiful time spent there!

My first night here and I have to say my cottage was spotless! You can tell it’s been here for a long time but they really kept it up nicely I have a dog with me so I prefer to have a cottage with a little more privacy And these are just beautiful

So far so good all the people I’ve talked to that work here while checking in or making my reservations have been just wonderful! I highly recommend this place for some r&r

Heather S

What a little gem! I found this place on the Hotels Tonight app and I’m so happy I did This is now my go-to place to stay when I come to FL to visit my grandma Steps to the beach and every room is angled so everyone gets an ocean view

Another big bonus is that dogs are allowed The laundry is easy to use and overall everything was so pleasant I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful hotel right on the ocean

nfultonviolins

What a wonderful place Right on the beach, and close enough to food and shopping The beach itself was immaculately clean, and the property, while giving a 60s vibe on the outside, has been updated and remodeled on the inside to a wonderful standard for a beach vacation

The room had two queen beds with good mattresses, and the view of the beach and ocean was great Check in and staff were wonderful I cannot recommend this place highly enough Note – if youre looking for a 5 star resort this is NOT it, but if you’re looking for a beachfront hotel that is nice and well kept, stay here

My wife and I needed a weekend getaway away from the kids and we chose the golden magnolia resort and spa Absolutely one of the best decisions we’ve made all year The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating

the food is fresh, delicious and made to order Our balcony sweet overlook the ocean less than 100 yards away and the spa treatments were incredibly relaxing Go to Flagler Beach enjoy the sauna, spa, mineral pool, swimming pool and overall atmosphere The therapeutic sound of the Waves crashing outside your door is just an added bonus Also if you’re looking for things to do dozens of shops and restaurants are within walking distance I highly recommend and am considering making this an annual trek

B Aldridge

Everything about this spa is amazing!! From the service to the mood Comfy robes, the food, daily happy hour with a glass of wine and apps, fresh flowers in our room, the AMAZING warm mineral pool

I mean even if you took advantage of zero spa treatments like we did this trip you could not match the relaxation and peace this place has to offer They are even adding a bar soon Oh and they brought the hubby father’s day breakfast in bed even!! SO MUCH FUN & RELAXATION!! #DOLPHIN

Kara Garvey-Fleischer

We booked our honeymoon here and it was absolutely perfect!!! We stayed in the “room with it all” and it had a little balcony to watch the sunrise and sunset, a very nice jacuzzi, and a very comfy king bed! The staff is super nice and the location is amazing (Flagler is the ideal location for a relaxing vacation – not very busy but still tons of places to eat and things to do) The massage I had at the spa was also wonderful, and the pool and heated mineral pool were very relaxing Breakfast is included and it’s delicious – they also do a “happy hour” every day with a complimentary drink and cheese plate We are definitely looking at coming back for a future anniversary!

I stayed away in the past from this hotel chain because of the bad reviews Thought I choose this one because of the price and location I must admit can’t judge a book by the cover! It was a very nice place! The room was very spacious, very clean and cozy

Check in and out was fast and easy Staff was friendly and helpful Shower was awesome and the layout of the room itself was very nice TV was a little on the small side, thought I didn’t go there to watch TV 😉Overall we had a very positive experience of it!

John

Only stayed one night while Passing thru on our road trip but was very happy about our accommodations Upon check in Tammy greeted me and she was very pleasant I paid 92 bucks which I thought was fair for a night stay

The rooms are a little outdated but are very clean and tidy as is all the grounds They had hot coffee in the lobby ready in the morning We’ll done Red Roof

Luis Daniel Fonseca

BEDS ARE HORRIBLE!!!!! I would give 3 maybe 4 starts only if beds were great… NOT THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR STAY(sarcasm)***I would only stay here if I’m stranded with nowhere to go and it’s raining the room looked clean but not really the bathroom lights are like from the 50’s, damp What ever happened to daylight bulbs?? Showered with a broken soap…and they are weirdly dry… I woke up the next day ready to work with back pain frames makes noises like in a movie prison bed…

the good? Cracker Barrel five steps away, Dunkin across the street, Close to I95

We had an incredible time at Dunes 2 Dock with our family last week The access to the beach on one side and fishing off the dock in the backyard was incredible It worked great for multiple families gathering in one home as the kids were able to use the downstairs playroom and spread out from everyone else

Overall we had an amazing time at the home and would definitely book it again

shan ellis

I did stay here as a guest in March I’ve never spent so much to stay in a place that we had to feel like we were camping If you stay in this house when the weather is cold plan on spending 500

00 more to heat the pool which is what we were told Who charges 10K for a week and the owners want to charge 500 more to heat the pool!!! They didn’t even offer salt and pepper, two pods for the dishwasher, 1 roll of paper towels, only one extra roll of tissue paper they call toilet paper For the money you charge to stay here you should make people feel at home not camping The only reason I left one star is because there was no option to leave no star

Sue Weldgen

Dunes 2 Dock is truly a beautiful place to stay Spend the day swimming in the pool, relaxing in he hot tub, fishing off the deck or go take a walk on the beach and take a dip in the ocean and top it off at the end of the day with a gorgeous sunset from the balcony The house has a cozy beach theme decor with plenty of comfy seating and a beautiful fireplace

There are several restaurants located nearby also for those nights you don’t want to cook that offer indoor and outdoor dining which overlooks the ocean Highly recommend staying here

Service was great upon early check-in, very accommodating and informative Wiring for lighting was a little wacky Had to turn on a switch at the entry way in order for the bathroom and sink/vanity areas to receive power

AC unit runs good Weird that the back entry near pool is only setup for exit vs exit/enter Very quite and close to near by dining facilities and gas stations Main road sucks with the one way turns and where to go to perform a UTurn to go to and from locations (not hotels fault) Reasonably priced

Bob VanDyk

This is a popular location at Palm Coast It’s near Flagler Beach and Avmed Hospital We are disappointed the our rooms don’t have microwaves but they have the mini fridge

We were there two nights and the week night went well in the morning but Saturday morning there was a mob in the eating area Lots of young people enjoying the stay and loading up on breakfast The kitchen staff did all she could but many items just ran out The enjoyed the egg omelette and sausage Also oatmeal and fresh waffles we enjoyed by our group The rooms appeared clean and the rooms smelled fresh BUT the hallway smelled bad This place is better than many other Hampton inn and suites but we think it is getting worn out

Emily B

We stayed in a King bed room and had some wonderful sleep on the comfortable bed, enjoyed the guest wifi, the A/C worked well, the room was clean, the location was convenient, breakfast from 8-10am was hot and delicious, staff were pleasant through our entire stay, the ironing board was nice, and our needs were overall met Guest laundry is available on the 1st floor (avg $2 in quarters/machine) The issues we noticed were: no shelf space in the shower for products, every USB port is pushed into the wall so you can’t plug anything into them (regular outlets were fine), no microwave in the room, and no lamp on/near the desk

The hotel was very good for covering basics, just not fancy

We had a very pleasant experience at Hammock Beach Resort Our room was not ready immediately at 4pm but that was fine We were able to check in by 4:30pm

The location of our room was great and the three bedrooms were very spacious The only complaint we had the entire time was that our ice machine in the freezer was not working and maintenance never showed up to fix it We just had to take our cooler daily to the bellhop station to get ice each day We also called to request a broom to keep sand in the villa under control but never received one from the staff The food on site was pretty good and the drinks were made strong Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the kids camp, pools, and water slide We did not use the beach access through the resort but rather the one near the villas and the Lodge It was nice having a rinsing shower and bathrooms right by the beach entrance My family and I will definitely be staying here again for future medical conferences

Delores Jackson

Beautiful place Quiet rooms Loved the oversized bathtub

Bed comfortable Lots of activities and places to eat The room I stayed in would have been better if the carpet and furniture had been shampooed or steamed cleaned They were a bit untidy The coffee pot was left dirty from previous customers For the price of rooms and the prestigious environment , the cleanliness of the rooms should match!

Julio Martinez

Stayed this Memorial Day weekend we stayed at one of the villasThe villa was clean and updated We were able to check in before 4:00 pm which was great, since we were traveling with a 3 year old

The service was fantastic Food was great, but a little pricey The one complaint I have is that they charge for chairs and umbrella if you don’t bring your own for the beach and at $1500 each per day, it can add up quick Especially if you have a big family

Our room was clean and the staff was friendly The free breakfast was well stocked and fresh The TV however in our room did not work properly and the staff politely refused to do anything about it

We had no reception and could not watch anything Glad we brought board games and I read my book Thankfully we were only there one short night It was my first stay in a Marriott chain that was not up to par Would not suggest staying at this one

Ray Mcdaniel

My wife and I decided to stay here on our weekend get-a-way for one night, worst choice we ever made Being Marriott bonvoy members and only using Marriott hotels Our experience was short of feeling like members The staff checking us in made rude comments while checking us in like “we have a laundry room but since your staying only one night you wont be needing that I guess” also made it a point to say “there is no wine” not sure what that comment was to insinuate? The staff member also asked if we would be charging anything to our room, such as items from the store area (drinks or snacks) as we said probable not, the staff member said” no not likely since your only staying one night” Breakfast was offered but given the attitude at check in I decided I would get better service at McDonald’s

The hotel room was nice but nothing to write home about The closet door was broken and wouldn’t stay shut, looked like it needed to be replaced The windows had green mossy mold growing on the outside The bathroom floor was so slippery like it had been washed with oil that we had to put down a towel for fear of falling The mini fridge did not work properly for the drinks we bought at a store down the road were froze The trash cans had no inside liners which we thought was odd The back door leading out to the rear parking lot the handle was loose and needed repairIf we ever decide to stop in to the area again this hotel would be a last resort effort for a night stay

Stayed at this hotel for three nights in late January of 2022 Overall – a very nice hotel and generally up to Hilton’s standard Comfortable beds

Clean Nice gym Breakfast was good 2 out of 3 mornings – the weekend server was clearly overwhelmed on Saturday for whatever reason The other two mornings were a good experience with Friday being outstanding – we loved our Friday server who we remembered from our last visit two years ago She was full of energy and was very friendly

Nessa Anderson

This was a reliable hotel to stay over the weekend There are lots of retail and eateries close The hotel staff was friendly

Everything was clean and convenient as expected from the Hilton brand The restaurant didn’t seem anything other than mediocre so we didn’t eat there We ended up having breakfast at Friends Cafe and dinner at Don Luigi’s Seriously recommend make a reservation and EAT AT DON LUIGI’S!!!

Candace Nicole

Rooms were disgusting Very dim lighting so you couldn’t see how dirty the walls, floor, and furniture were Foul odor in hallways and carpet was disgusting

Didn’t realize this was a pet friendly hotel, but definitely didn’t think we would see them near the dining area We decided not to stay here and lost over $200 on this reservation Would not recommend this place to anyone This place should be shut down Very disappointing

Room was very clean, bed was comfy, had everything we needed for our stay in #9 Motel is right across A1A from the ocean, enjoyed the sunrise! We enjoyed our 1 night stay, so extended for another night, to further take in all the sights Visited nearby state parks and kayaked

Peggy is the Manager, was very attentive to any requests or questions we had Hope to return some day

Janet Schmidt

Peggy is amazing! The room we got wasn’t what I had expected (was MUCH smaller), and she had us in a larger, perfect room in minutes Beach is right across the street, very light traffic, a 1 mile walk to the pier, shops, and restaurants The room, kitchen, bathroom, pool, everything was SPOTLESS

Plenty of parking Would definetly recommend!

Robbie Bratton

Had a great time Close to everything I wanted in a vacation Only had one issue

Not appreciative of the pit bull dog being allowed in the pool by one of the resident guests Had been at the pool 10 minutes sitting in a chair and this girl walked in with her 150 lb pit ,she unleashes it and it comes straight to me She then throws the dogs toy in the pool and picks the dog up and puts it in the pool even though it didn’t want to get in Now I am a dog lover ( not a pit fan though I don’t trust them) regardless I don’t want to swim with dogs I just got up and left the poolRuined my last day of of vacation Room was nice Peggy the office manager was great though She really went the extra mile for us
