The description online is not at all what the hotel is The only thing they have to offer is a rather good restaurant that is inside the hotel The rooms and the hotel overall are not maintained

Even though it is a historic hotel, I do not believe that is a reason to completely let things go The bathrooms are pretty bad We had four rooms reserved for our family and all four rooms were gross The bathroom in our room had very large patches of mold from leaks that reached across nearly the whole ceiling above the shower and paint was coming off in sheets The toilet seats in all the rooms were broken in some way Either peeling off the sides and tops, terribly old, stained, discolored or just plain broken The shower heads and faucets were separated from the wall, broken The tub in our room was peeling Layers of the tub had come off in several areas The faucet to the tub had a leak for so long that the base of the tub had a green and red rust stain at the bottom near the drain The leak was still going on while there We paid what we pay at other real 5 star resorts per night and it was horribly overpriced for the serious disrepair the hotel is in It put a serious damper on our trip It was for our parents 40th anniversary and it was a let down to say the least The woman at the front desk, Veronica, was terribly rude and very hard to deal with The gentleman that worked the desk at night was also very rude and was inconvenienced by you asking for help The shag carpeting in all of the rooms is very dirty It is stained and full of hair and other particles We were very surprised at the condition all around The lobby area had the same snack food on the carpet for several days It’s obvious they do not clean daily or even every other day Do yourself a favor, don’t ruin your trip by staying here

Gratz Park Inn is a lovely boutique hotel Stayed there for a wedding and wish I could have stayed another night Stayed in the Bluegrass Suite (room 311) which was a beautiful room, incredibly comfortable and quiet

We enjoyed a delicious brunch in the restaurant I don’t know Lexington that well but it was only a 5 minute walk to another local restaurant I’m looking for an excuse to return 🙂

I spent 12 hours here and it was the most miserable time i ever had at a hotel The bed was terribly uncomfortable and felt as if it would give way; the central air in my room was shut off and it was hot and sticky inside You cant open the windows either

Definitely NOT worth the money spent Its all for looks and the dining, not good for actual sleeping

If you don’t want to shower at your hotel, add three stars to this review If you plan on showering, subtract these twoThe room was pretty, the bed was comfy, and then the water was cold

The desk man came to feel it, after advising us to “give it a few minutes,” and claimed that the room-temp-at-best water was warm I said, “You’ve showered before, right? You can’t shower in that” I asked for a room with warm water He said maybe too many people had showered, and we could checkout at 12 instead of 11 This was a major disappointment after such a promising location and rest

Do not let the 2 star fool you It’s a great hotel I have stayed at a lot of hotels across this country

And it’s hard to give a number one But this hotel and my experience with Shelly, is above and beyond The friendliness’s and the hospitality is above par The room was clean and even smelled nice No cleaner or chemical smells Bed felt amazing And even the other guest were seemed happy and smiling 10/10 one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at

Amelia Van Polanen

While traveling in Kentucky, my friends and I found ourself in a bind due to our previous hotel being unable to extend our stay So I had to find something available, and thankfully Guest House offered us the solution we needed While we only stayed for a day, we were treated nicely by the staff and had two fantastic rooms

I read many of the reviews prior to selecting this hotel, and most of them were good while a few were slightly alarming Some of the things I saw involved a rude desk employee, musty rooms, mold, and dirty floors-but my friends and I experienced none of this Our rooms were fantastic, especially considering how last minute of a reservation we made The tv had access to numerous channels, which made down time even more enjoyable Checking out was the easiest I’ve ever experienced too Love the horse-inspired designs of the rooms as well! All in all, a great hotel that won’t break the bank and helps any weary travelers in need of a place to park Thanks for a great stay!

It’s a nice hotel, the staff are really friendly and Liza is a gem if you get to meet with her! The gym is fantastic The treadmill has Bluetooth connectivity to headphones and watches I was able to watch stuff on YouTube on the treadmill which was nice

The sunset and sunrise views are on point I caught a glimpse of the sunrise but most definitely, you can’t miss the sunset from the parking lot of the hotel It’s also close to some nice restaurants and all in all, it’s a nice place to be

Samantha Saunders

We had a quick overnight stay while driving through Quick check in, clean The beds were comfortable but the hallways were loud

There was loud music outside in or near the parking lot after midnight so I put on my phone’s sound machine app The cracks around the door let a lot of sound and light through I was surprised the breakfast isn’t complimentary like comparable hotels I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here

John Flynn

The location was fantastic for convenience, only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 was that I heard the traffic from a nearby major road quite a bit It didn’t bother me much and for me the convenience of nearby gas and restaurants far outweighed any road noise but thought it bared mentionBeyond that the hotel was modern and clean and the staff was friendly

Excellent hotel for my purposes and I will stay here again next time

We arrived late Friday afternoon after having driven over 500 miles The staff were so nice , friendly and helpful We got everything we requested for a room

It was beautiful The pictures on line don’t do justice The 3 staff members We met, Genny , Terry and Ronnie were able to answer any questions we had We used to have a favorite hotel along I-65 but they were full this time This is our new favorite stopping place We will be back

FreedomFocus Flow

Great little hidden gem Bed was roomy and comfy, room was spacious with a nice bathroom, and whole place was wheelchair accessible It was winter so some things were not open but it was very clean, exceptionally kind and helpful staff, your standard issue free breakfast in the morning, and nice wide hallways that didn’t smell old and moldy like so many motels do

I would definitely stay here again if Winchester had more to offer

Beth Statt

Our room was exceptionally clean and quiet The staff was professional The breakfast was very good

I did not make it to the pool or the excercise room The tv worked just fine The bed was comfy and the sheets had that clean and starched feel I know they don’t starch the sheets but they feel nice like that And there were lots of pillows When i looked in the drawer there was an extra blanket in a plastic zippered bag And of course it looked soft and white to match the bed The room was fairly newly decorated And there was a very comfortable overstuffed chair with an ottoman There is a hair dryer and all the shampoo and shower stuff necessary

In all, would recommend[PROS] The lobby is really nice, and is perfect for lounging in There’s also a non-smoking policy (200$ charge if you smoke in hotel room), so no marijuana smell like a lot of other hotels

The room itself was clean and had all the amenities that a normal hotel would have I payed 142$ for a room that could fit a family of 5-6 people The bed was super comfy as well Location was near a lot of restaurants[CONS] The room had a pull out bed my other family members were going to sleep in, but it didn’t come with extra pillows or blankets, just a really thin sheet and the bed itself Tried calling hotel service but didn’t even pick up! Ended up having to go down there and get the extra necessities Breakfast was okay, don’t get the nasty eggs though, but it’s free so go for it[Conclusion] Overall would come to hotel again, everything spotless/clean, no old furniture, hot water, and affordable considering what your getting Free pool, WiFi, free gym, free food The only big cons is the okay service, but if you needed to contact them I would just go to the front desk than waste your time calling them Location is perfect

Cel St.Pierre

Traveled to Lexington, KY with family members to take care of funeral arrangements and attend to matters related to the death of our brother Hyatt Place staff–front desk, breakfast crew, and housekeeping were very gracious They acknowledged our situation, expressed condolences, and made us feel comfortable using the front lobby seating areas and business center

Whatever we requested–hot water for tea, extra coffee packs for the room, fresh towels, permission to eat dinner in the “breakfast room”, glasses for use in our room–the staff cheerfully accommodated Thank you so much for being the “bright spots” during our stay

Amanda Sanders

Hotel staff were all nice There was a breakfast and the room was a nice size I look for 3 things in a hotel: a pool, a breakfast, and water pressure

The pool was cold, swimable, though unpleasant for a length of time and I did not have a desire to go back The water pressure was terrible and went down periodically which makes me think it is attached to another room where someone else was showering Also, you’d better take housekeeping when you can get it because even with specifically requesting a visit they did not come Stayed for 6 days, no housekeeping Had to go down to request towels Also, the traffic noise from the freeway was very loud Will not stay again

We loved our anniversary stay! Every detail of the hotel felt carefully curated and like an experience, something I’ve never said about any other hotel or accommodations The shower is to die for! The art throughout the hotel is fascinating and I love that it’s from a local artist For the sake of a review I’ll say the bedding wasn’t my favorite as it felt like you laid ON it rather than cozied into it, but it still didn’t dull the overall shine of 21c

Would definitely stay again!

The 21C Lexington was once modern, artsy and chic We were looking forward for our business trip as always and found, a disgusting dirty room, stained floors which need professional cleaning, hair and dirt in the bathroom, shower, it was disappointing on all levels The pandemic /change of ownership left its traces, no upgrades and the art collection was far from well curated as it used to be

We upgraded the room and moved in a suite, which had a cleaner carpet, obviously not booked as often as the king rooms, however no real upgrade feeling except the price The nicest hotel in Lexington, with the most comfortable beds, became a nightmare we had to move out Mattresses are new and very uncomfortable firm, it feels like laying on the bed instead of on the bedThe street noise was always a downside in the 21C which we looked over by sleeping with ear plugs Nothing is making up for it anymorePro : the restaurant was great and nicely remodeled

Dave Fischer

Overall very good Rooms were not as clean as we like (major carpet stains) but the beds were comfy Didn’t like to have to go down to the front desk to get ice, coffee or towels (only 2 towels)

Staff was very pleasant and helpful Location to to Rupp arena is awesome and there is an awesome restaurant next door (Zim’s) Parking is very difficult so we did valet parking for $30 day Shower leaked all over the floor

My husband and I just spent a wonderful afternoon and evening at the Lyndon House We had never been to a bed and breakfast so we did not know what to expect I love old homes so I adored the original architectural details and it seems like the owners want to keep some of the 1800s charm, which I loved

You cannot compare this to a modern hotel but even so we had Wi-Fi and a smart tv Breakfast was a delicious frittata with bacon and several choices for drinks The innkeeper, Anton, was friendly and accommodating Parking was easy although I am not sure how more that a handful of cars could park in the space behind the house The only reason for 4 stars is that the room was 78 for most of the night and it was at least 80 with no airflow in our bathroom This may be because we booked the day of so there was not time to get it to temperature It took about 12 hrs to get the room to 70 But we would definitely book again… maybe with a little more notice

This was our first time here It was very nice ,upon entering and we enjoyed looking at the decor I was a little confused about our room, as I had requested the Belle when I made the reservation online, however we were given the Bluegrass suite, which was fine, just no communication regarding the change

The flowers, which I requested, and paid for, were there, very pretty We didn’t see or speak with the proprietor the first day, which was fine I don’t like hovering I had requested breakfast in bed, but didn’t receive any response I’m not sure if the owner was too busy, regardless, he did prepare breakfast when my boyfriend went downstairs and asked about breakfast Which was nice The gentleman then helped my boyfriend carry it up to the room Good food, tastefully decorated It was enjoyable The only downside was lack of communication between me and the host/ owner,as well as noticeable oversight with cleanliness in our suite Carpets which were not vacuumed, (clearly ) the extra blanket had been used by a previous guest and tossed in a drawer unfolded, and not clean I would have given 5 stars if not for this I also would have left a generous tip if housekeeping had done the basics,as far as cleanliness Food for thought We would go back Overall, good experienceJust received a response from the owner, on 3/8/2021, and his response is surprisingly petty and defensive EVERYTHING that I said is 100%accurate, and I did not leave stains on the carpet Ridiculous Also, if the housekeeping actually vacuumed, there would not be debris and dirt on the carpets Also, it is the job of housekeeping/ the owner to check all aspects of cleanliness and in drawers, not just leave it ,because “guests usually don’t do that” As for the lack of communication 😒regarding room changes and no breakfast in bed inquiries, I had no response Good luck 👍

Jennifer McEachern

We had a lovely 2 night visit Anton was very nice and breakfast was delightful The home is lovely and you can tell that Anton takes special care in ensuring his guests have a comfortable stay

The location is within walking distance to downtown though I would say we were disappointed with downtown Lexington’s offerings Instead, we took a three block stroll to a local brewery and really enjoyed our evening Our bed was comfortable and the room was quite spacious

From the lobby to the room, everything was clean and welcoming Our room was well lit and updated Beds were comfortable and most important to me, the bathroom was spacious and CLEAN with a large shower area Thanks and we will see you again

This is a very clean hotel, with friendly staff Check in was easy, and the rooms are amazing One of my favorite features was the barn style sliding door with full mirror that closed the bathroom area

All features were up to date, hardwood laminate flooring, and vibrant colored soft vinyl chair coverings I like the vinyl on the chairs better than cloth because I know they can be, and are cleanThere is a Cracker Barrel, McDonalds, and a Gas station all within walking distance, and easy access to I75 I will definitely stay at this hotel again when in town Price per night is excellent

The lady that works the front desk on the weekends, was outstanding!! She was so nice, always available, great service! This hotels saving graceThe night person was NEVER available The weekend day girl was unfriendly almost rude, more interested in her phone than the business of the hotel

The pool was murky and smallThere wasn’t a hot tub although so many pictures showed one – the only reason why we chose to stay thereImagine our disappointment when there wasn’t one Upon entering, checking in, someone was calling and asking about the pics they saw of the hot tubThe rooms were standardThe rates were good for what it was

So much bad Not a 3 Star, not even a 2 star First the Good

Maids friendly and good workers Maintenance man was BUSY but very personableOur room was two queen beds But only one chair in the room (I sat on the floor) Had a small desk but they had a lamp and the morning coffee set up on the desk If you want to do any office work the lamp and coffee tray have to go on the floor A two person room but you better be prepared to live out of your suitcase Only two small drawersMattress was like sleeping on cardboard with a foam pad over the topWashing machine and dryer coin operated slides get stuck, will not pull out Front desk says its been that way for awhile They have to be really banged and push/pulled to get them out We skipped our 2nd load of wash Front desk does NOT have a supply of quarters for laundryWent to get juice for breakfast and noted a stale smell from juice dispenser Apple Juice tasted funny Suspect unit is NOT cleaned as it should beExcepting the maids and maintenance man the whole place indicates indifference to customer stay/customer care Obvious that there hasn’t been much money spent on keeping the place up Cheapness endemic everywhere you look Lack of investment and attention to the details than make a pleasant stay are missingWon’t stay here again, Would not recommend Don’t be fooled by the 3 Star rating

The hotel did partially refund me for the following issues and the staff were very kindMy first room has definitely been smoked in recently After switching rooms, I tried the gym

Basically a glorified closet, what did work didn’t work well Loose pieces on the weight machine Had to step over other equipment to get to the back of the “gym”The second room had a jacuzzi tub (yay) but when the Jacuzzi was on, I could smell mold The shower curtain was moldy and the bathroom sink took 2 hours to drainThe Jacuzzi would turn itself on about every 30 minutes Took the attendant and I over an hour before we finally unscrewed the cover and I unplugged it myself Then, as I laid down, I could hear tons of noise in the hallway and front desk (first floor unit)Of course they were sold out so couldn’t change rooms again and too late to change hotels

Horrible just horrible! Stayed this past weekend with biker group pool was green as grass with rocks at bottom good thing it rained an we didn’t want to go swimming, room was dirty looked like sheets hadn’t been cleaned or changed since last person who stayed there went up front to get new sheets to change myself after a late checkin and long drive front desk tells us she apologizes housekeeping doesn’t change cover or top sheet on rooms because they don’t have enough to take them all off an wash them to be replaced! Then next morning come down for breakfast same older front desk lady from night before was there doing breakfast coughing and hacking up a lung then proceeds to tell me an my wife she was sick so we got our coffee and left only to be home few days to my wife now feeling sickly herself so when we went an got checked for her to come back positive with covid 19! Also they jacked the price up for one of our nights on the weekend from 9524 to 11999 so check your receipt folks they are scamming people!

Leandra Cate

We stayed 2 nights and had a fairly good experience The bed was comfortable though a thicker blanket would have been much better There is a certain degree of shabbiness to the hotel in general and our room in particular – stains/wear in the carpets and scuffed walls

The room wasn’t as clean as we would have liked There was hair in the tub, faint stains on the bed linens But probably the most problematic- the dark-colored carpet was so grimy that our light colored socks showed stains after walking around in our socked feet But I didn’t see a single bug Staff were super friendly But the ‘free breakfast’ was not edible for us Still, for the price range, this was a fairly good stay

From the outside and lobby it is a beautiful hotel The rooms are sub par for the price Old decor, not well cleaned, furniture missing, refrigerator not cooling

Bar closed early, way early before 8 Manager reception started late Restaurant was not open Shower door handle was broke and shower did not drain Was charged parking($12) because I did not use the group code, when called to use group code for reservations was told could not reserve a 2 bed room suite Online reservation did not have the parking fee in the reservation total Breakfast was limited for a Embassy Orange juice came out of the dispenser brown, we drank water Banquet service was great, food was goodWhen all was reported to front desk, no concern was expressed Actually made it out that we was being difficultNot the same standards of quality received at other Embassy Suites or Hilton establishments in the past

My room here was very nice and I loved that there was no carpet on the floors The bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful I really appreciated that they had bottled water at the front desk

I was here for a conference and the food served during our meetings was very good I had the opportunity to use the spa and they were fantastic! One of the best massages I’ve ever had The only negative I had was there were a couple of paths that didn’t have handrails and one that wasn’t lit very well at night I would stay here again

We stayed for a family wedding Room rate is way over priced There was a view of the room and there are hardly any drawers in the rooms to put clothes in

Bed sheets had holes in them My moms room was so dusty there was writing on the window My brothers room had left over hair in the tub They messed up the wedding block so we were not together The restaurant takes FOREVER no matter how big your party size is I understand being short staffed for wait times but the 2 days I got breakfast there my order was wrong and it had to be fixed Short staff doesn’t create an excuse for wrong orders The only thing I can say good about this hotel was a comfy bed, thank god there was Starbucks coffee, and free water in the lobby

Enjoyed the room and the outdoor pool on our recent stay There was also a great bike trail across the road and the hotel provided bikes and helmets and had them ready for us But the best part was Laura who we encountered at the front desk

We were celebrating my 40th birthday and on our last night we returned to a super thoughtful card from staff and a slice of cake and wine Really meant a lot and this is why we always stay with Marriott! Thanks Laura!!
