Great retreat place to relax place to refine your sense of serenityThis was no fast paced be there or be square place, This was a large room, tall bed, laid back kind of place Its a quite place where you can still hear the birds sing and have the where with all to hear the wind blow without being in a storm

The wind is there and you can get to know it all over Peace, like you remember No Car horns, no police sirens no planes, cars, motor cycles or screaming city sounds which wrecking your every thought At this place you can lay back in time and remember what it felt like to be free of all that You can loose the feeling of the hustle and bustle filling the world today You can experience nature if you like You can feel adulthood, you can take the time to discover your enter being You can rediscover the one you loved Just turn off your phone when you get there and disconnect from all the world for a while you can turn it back on when you leave You’ll see the world in a more peaceful setting, (Just laid back a bit) This is what living could be like but with a few amenities There is still a fancy place to eat whether at the fire place out side in the open air next to the fire or Dinning in the dinning room over at the bar, where you can still be with others and feel a little friendship to remind you the world has not gone away, have a drink or two, meditate I’m just saying this is not a nursing home type of place, but it is a destination which is separate from all the other most other places What it is, is a place which reminds you of a different exist of peace a peaceful twilight zone Loose the monsters of appointment and time schedule It’s because of all the other stuff in the world today, you can now appreciate, a place like this I was there for a wedding and this was the perfect place for that wonderful event The whether was perfect and that made it all magical

Had an absolutely amazing stay, as part of a wedding organized at the ResortThe resort could host the dress rehearsal dinner (in the ‘ Town Hall’), wedding ceremony (at the ‘Manor House Ruins’) and wedding dinner with a stage allowing live band/music as well (at the ‘Georgian Hall’) The wedding was ab 100pl and could fit very comfortably

The resort allowed the guests staying at the houses rented to have access to the gym, outside pool, golf courts, etcIn the houses the rooms and bathrooms were very spacious, beds super comfortable, got everything we would need The houses had a really nice interior design in general, really felt like a well made homeThere was also an Inn at the resort where ppl would come at a more affordable price (than renting a house), from the city to have a chill day at the poolReally recommend going, if your budget allowsPerfect for wedding place or for events

Anna Brumbelow.

The front desk lady named Alexandria was incredible and so sweet She made us feel very welcome and genuinely listened to us! All the other staff were so kind and accommodating to thing we needed and did tasks with a smile Definitely would come back since they make you feel so welcome! The pool area is beautiful and they have a great bar

I’ll start with the good: the shower worked well, and the beds were comfortable enough However, it was not very clean (the photo is of a dead bug that I used my foot to sweep out into the hall from our room) The decor is very dated

However, the staff was friendly The continental breakfast was ok with a waffle machine, juice machine, cereals, muffins, yogurts, and beagles (with no cream cheese, only butter) and bread for today Also had bananas and orangesWe had stayed there in the past and I might stay there again but I would look at other options first

Dakota Roper

Excellent staff loved staying here we’ve been here since March 10th and check out on March 30th my family loved the staff they became a second family to us Very understanding with needing to extend a stay and very clean rooms amazing water pressure as well, also comfortable beds They even have a 2 grills out on the patio you can use if needed

Will definitely be coming back in the future And I can’t stress it enough amazing hotel and cheap prices Thank you so much for all your hard work It doesn’t go unnoticed

Aurora Bauer

The bed was not comfy It felt like we slept on ply wood The sheets were stained

Called front desk to get a plunger, had to go to the desk to grab it and bring it back to the desk The person at the front desk was very rude They did not give us a receipt via paper or email Charged us an extra $10000 that we knew nothing about It was never mentioned while we were booking on Hotelscom nor when we arrived or checked out Would not reccomend staying at this hotel The toilet did not flush

He got nice ‘001’ tattoo though and does not happen to like musicNice stay though, some crazy spiders Bathrooms are bigOnly negative point is the owners alarm clock is too loud and seems to be stuck at 4 chimes

Do not stay here! I booked a reservation online, prepaid in advance, but had to cancel due to a family emergency I tried to contact the front desk… good luck with that… a busy signal So I called the online customer service and they assured me of a refund

The refund never came When I tried to call the hotel again… busy signal for the entire afternoon, I finally got in touch with the front desk in the evening, they said they do not issue refunds or allow a credit for a future stay I’ve disputed this multiple times but the owner of this property is only interested in taking peoples money and not interesting in working with me If this was $100, I’d be willing to let it slide, but we are talking about $89000 This company and this so called business owner is a thief Don’t trust them and whatever you do, don’t pay in advance

I pretty much always go to Marriott Courtyards when traveling with my daughter around the country for her tennis tournaments Why? Because we usually get a pretty consistent quality of product / experience across properties, although some are newer than others, but this one in Rome is really really bad for several reasons:1) construction: you can hear every single steps from above, literally shaking your room like a loud bass speaker speaker would!2) noise transmission: because of the above you also hear every single words fromNext room convo just as if they were I Your room…

It’s just making the stay extremely stressful3) cleanliness: we arrived in the first room, I went to the bathroom and saw a lot of hairs and dust behind the door I called housekeeping at like 4PMAnd was told they were gone for the day Someone came (not happy to), looked at all the hairs and asked me if I wanted it cleaned now or tomorrow?!? Insane question… I asked to have it cleaned it on the spot of courseBy the way, another guest in from of my at front desk also complained about the cleanliness of her room, bedsheets and so on…4) housekeeping/service: my son had a “pipi” accident in the night so we called in the morning at 8:30 to let them know and make sure that they would change all the bed sheets and so on We came back to the room at 1 pm still not done… We called /asked all day long till about 5Pm and we’re told they were short on staff, that the could guarantee it would be done, and that there was not much they could do about this situation…crazy, right? Luckily we got back to the room at 8Pm and were pleased to see that what should be basic service in any hotel in the world was done! They did the room, wow! But they only put one towel when we needed 4 2 for the evening, 2 for the morning, so we called again…On the positive side, hotel is very well located walking distance to all the nice bars and restaurants in Rome The lobby is all nice and well appointed with seating/TV areas, a nice deck overlooking the town…Overall terrible experience…which I unfortunately have to endured for a few days…

The hotel was clean My only concern was customer service The clerk treated me as though I was inconveniencing her

I arrived at 10 in the evening and left at 6 am I had to show her Southern hospitality during both interactions to receive any type of quality service Additionally, I had to ask for my receipt Again, she seemed perturbed that I would want proof of the transaction I’m Southern, so this is a problem

Angel Wigley

Very nice service! Because of the whole covid deal he took our temps but when he realized we have 4 small children he made sure to come spray everything in our room with disinfectant and all his reason was because he loves babies! The room is very clean and since we have so many children he made sure to give us extra towels and disinfected them as well! It’s the thought and effort he made that made it worth while the price was also wonderful being it’s a holiday weekend! we will definitely be back! Very pleased!

Finding clean accommodations in this area in the past has been a struggle Decided to give Comfort Suites in Rome a try this trip since we had not stayed at this location before We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel

It definitely could use an exterior face-lift and resurfaced parking area The common areas need to be refreshed as well but were clean regardless The rooms themselves were so clean I was blown away, which takes a lot for someone with a background in boutique hotels! For anyone that travels in these times you know how you see reviews of clean rooms for a place but are constantly finding its far from truth Not here I was hard pressed to find anything in this room that was in poor condition The only constructive criticism would be whatever the issue that makes the ac units occasionally spit what looks to be ashe should probably be addressed sooner rather than later Emily at the front desk was great She was very welcoming, kind, and helpful Wish we could have stayed here more than one night but will definitely be back when in the area againStayed 5/16/22Rm 222

The front desk employees were nice, there was miscommunication and it was resolved Wish they would have contacted me first, but they didn’tBed was pretty comfortable

Housekeeping had issues:The room was comfortable, could have been cleaner There was a gold fish cracker sitting in the air vent that could have easily been removed by hand, dead roach next to the bed, bathroom wasn’t wiped down very well, cigarette butt sitting in the hall, trash sitting in the hall from someone’s room for over 24 hoursDisturbance:Came back from breakfast one morning, walked to the elevator, next to the elevator was the housekeepers room, there was shouting and at least two woman arguing in there It was right next to the eating area downstairs so who knows how many people heard them argue One person (I assume is an employee) came from the front lobby and was trying to figure out what was happening, but one other housekeeper told him to stay there and let them figure it outOther:Walls are paper thin and I could hear the people next door to me talking throughout the day/eveningThe TV had a bunch of channels, but none of the channels I really cared to watch No channels to watch any sports were available The remote didn’t work that great, had to get right next to the TV to get it to workWiFi was SLOWI wish I would have spent a little extra and stayed somewhere else I don’t think I’ll ever stay at another Comfort Inn

David McDermitt

Front desk was extremely friendly Rooms are extremely clean Will be back on future business trips

One complaint The wifi is horrible Won’t connect long enough to do any work and when it does connect the signal is horrible They did seriously upgrade the breakfast On top of the normal stuff they have added cheese omleys, bacon sausage, made to order muffins and waffles Like I said my o ly complaint is the wifi

New hotel, very clean, friendly staff, & attention to detail Every single staff member looked me in the eye and said hello There was a staff member seated and doing paperwork in the lobby

She even looked up and said good morning Incredibly clean Extras everywhere…sanitary napkins set out in the stalls of the public bathrooms, shampoo & conditioner dispensers in the shower of the room, quips, etc To-go snack bags ready for guests to grab on the way out I was very impressed

Joy E

Staff was the best ever, the front desk and breakfast lady were fantastic It’s the best breakfast we’ve ever had included at any hotel in 35 years of hotel stays So many options, perfect for families! They have diamond parking

The pool was super cold & the hotel looks like it’s in need of a maintenance main our room smelled damp but it was clean

Brian Coyle

The hotel itself was great Penny Miller however is the worst person I have ever dealt with in or out of a hotel We stayed 2 nights at their hotel

She insisted it was 3 We came in a large group who can all verify that it was only 2 nights Penny proceeds to threaten to submit a warrant for our arrests if we did not pay for the 3 days in under 2 hours We received the threat 3 times over phone and one over email We were told by the front desk that they would have it fixed and apologized for the problem but apparently the manager has a different plan in mind That is to steal from anyone and everyone she can She did the same with another couple staying their that arrived the same evening as we did We spoke with other teams participating in the same event and were informed they are dealing with the same issueContacted corporate and they were unable to change her mind about it as they agreed with us but since it is a franchise…she can do as she wishes apparently Corporate informed us to contact our credit card to dispute the charge and get it refunded for the 1 day overcharge Always happy to pay for our stay but not pay for days we did not stay when only booked for 2 days periodBeware of Penny Miller at Hampton Inn of Rome, GA

Stayed here due to convenience of the downtown area We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience of the hotel Nice and quiet and loved all the gathering places offered on the main level

The restaurant and bar area has a very cool vibe to it and bartenders and servers were friendly The food looked amazing although we didn’t eat here The rooms all were a bit different depending on size of room, but I love how they incorporated the brick and parts of the original warehouse structure into the guest rooms The beds are phenomenal and I think I got the best nights rest for sure We took in a nice little walk over to the Main Street of downtown Loved all the shops and restaurants so close by A great weekend trip If ever in Rome again; I definitely will stay here again

Super nice boutique hotel in a fascinating old warehouse building Rooms have exposed beams, lots of character Staff is always friendly

If you need an extra toiletry item they are prompt and happy to get it Housekeeping is top notch; they come by daily (which isn’t true at other hotels these days)! Breakfast is great, and the ladies that work in the breakfast area / kitchen are super friendly and attentiveThere is such a vast assortment of room layouts and styles and sizes, that every time I stay it’s a new surprise There are rooms that overlook the river, there are suites, there are one bedroom suites Every room has a microwave and fridge, some have cooktops and full size refrigerators Dishes and utensils are provided, and again, the bigger rooms have dishwashersBeds are very comfortable, pillows are awesome The AC/Heat is quick and quietThe location can’t be beat for Rome One block off the revitalized “main drag” of Broad Street You can walk to any restaurant, shop, and even better, just go walk on some of the great paths around downtown and beyondParking is ample Lots of secure entrances to the hotel And, again, there is immediate access to the paved walking pathsThey have bikes you can borrow, a neat little store for snacks and drinks near the front desk, and a few stores in the lobby The gym is well equippedI’ve stayed there multiple times since the beginning of the year, and it is now my “go to” (or “stay at”) hotel in Rome It is just a few minutes from everywhere you may need to, or want to, goI’m not being paid for this, but I really can’t find anything negative to say I’ve stayed at all the hotels near downtown and, again, the Hawthorne tops them all in service

Loraine Cooper

Great location! Great atmosphere! Clean hotel, with plenty areas to relax& enjoy! The gym is amazing! The restaurant and bar amazing! The room was clean & nice! Make sure you get a room with a river view!! We will definitely be back!

Reserved room for $120 paid in full with my credit card when arriving at hotel with my three yr old son four year old daughter and husband My father has stage 5 colon cancer in Redmond hospital with only days left to live I stayed at hospital while husband and kids checked in and got our luggage in But I had to leave because front desk refused to give him our room said she needed two other credit cards other than one I paid with a copy of drivers license, social security cards, three references and another $120 deposit before they would give my husband our room which we already paid online with verified confirmation

I feel as if my husband and my identities are being stolen Why else require so much for a prepaid room? My husband didn’t know what to do when they refused proceeding to tell them they were going to make my children and us sleep in our car despite already being paid Managements response was it’s not my problem and don’t stay in our parking lot to do so So I had to leave hospital for two and a half hours just to pay more and provide information that should never be asked for on a hotel prepaid reservation By far worst I’ve ever been treated at a hotel and I can’t help but to wonder why they have a 4 star rating This hotel staff is rude disrespectful and hostile Not to mention the possibility of identity theft

Carl Chramer

I can honestly say this place has some awesome employees! I sat and observed the new manager train the sweetest new girls on first on first shift and had so much patience with them all while answering customers questions as they walked up to the desk and answering the phone that was blowing up and never not one time did I see any frustration out of her! Today was my 2nd day there and the two sweet new ladies on first came in and didn’t even have to ask what to do they just went right on and started working while helping each other! That’s what I call team work More places need people like them!

Bobby Simpson

I had a great experience this past weekend The customer service was excellent, the manager was very courteous and professional She answered all my questions

The facility itself was very clean, the rooms are spacious, and it was very quiet My grandkids enjoyed the pool I think my grandkids have found our weekend hideaway when we want to get out of Gadsden, Alabama
