This hotel was amazing The staff had excellent customer service and they were really helpful They have a really nice pool that’s clean, a hot tub

The rooms were really niceIt has a nice location that’s close to restaurants and shoppingThe only thing I didn’t like was that they did charge for parking Other than that this hotel’s fantastic and I went with a group of people and everybody feels the same way, cheers!

We could not have chosen a better hotel to host 35+ family members gathering for my mother’s graveside service late April The staff was always personable, pleasant and helpful They accommodated our, at times, large social gatherings from Thursday to Sunday with assistance and grace

They allowed us to use their meeting room for an event following the service and graciously provided, ice water, tea, milk and a plate of cookies Sat night one of the children was hit with a stomach bug and the staff was very helpful and efficient in providing clean linens etc during the night When returning to Roswell, we will be sure to book at this Fairfield Inn again!

We tried 4 different hotels and comfort wise this was our first pick The staff were friendly, the rooms clean, the pool looked so inviting but we didn’t get a chance to check it out

next time The only thing that would have made this even better would be a bar/restaurant just to relax on site in the evening The staff did have plenty of options for us thankfully It certainly won’t stop us from going back though I do think they need to be more upfront about the parking fee though

Room smelt like a faint odor of urine Mold in the shower- which can be cleaned quickly if anyone cares! Was told the pool has been out a long time- which is amazing that in this day & age you’d think the owner would care The lady at the front desk was very helpful- hard worker

She’s waisting her time working here for an owner that doesn’t care or is cheap I would appreciate a response to this as my wife & I use Choice Hotels a lot I also know they are independently owned This place smacks of cheapness & that’s too bad & sad

Melanie Paul

The staff was great! The room was good, it was pretty big I didn’t like the adjoining room door tho It did nothing to dampen the sounds of the people in the adjoining room

That would get my dog barking just because she’s a dog and they bark when someone is at the door The beds were very comfortable The breakfast was good There was enough parking Location was close enough to everything My dog loved the huge window! If I ever go back to Roswell, I’ll probably stay here againOnly issue was the people who definitely were methed out in the parking lot either awkwardly staring at everyone or getting in and out of their vehicle for over an hour like they were looking for something And I’m pretty sure there was blood on the wall in the bathroom next to the toilet I’ve stayed at worse places tho

Malte Degener

We liked our stay here Room was clean, and very spaceful Pool was closed due to water usage and wildfires being quite close here; which surely is nothing to blame the hotel for

Staff was really friendly, location is great – you can walk over to some restaurants and stores nearby Breakfast was pretty good, tooGym was open, but definately needs some rework and new machines

Great location! We drove through in a Tesla which there are very few chargers along the way but Home2 was just a block away from McDonalds which does have 2 chargers (super grateful for the private installer) This was our main reason for staying here Love that they’re pet friendly which allows us to bring the dogs Breakfast was decent

The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were very soft We were given lots of extra towels in the room already Very nice not having to ask after already check in The fridge and freezer actually worked which was also a major plus The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars was the room wasn’t all the way clean The dogs found left over items from previous guest: a sock, apple sauce container with a spoon, and an used coffee creamer container Other than this, everything was great

**Update**Overall, a decent, clean, hotel Staff is friendly and helpful I like the place, but there are some signs that owners/management are not engaged with the guest experience

1 The TV system is a mess Half of the channels have no identification, and half of those that do are wrong You basically have to go through every channel to determine what it is This should be an easy fix Why it isn’t done is a mystery****Update-As of 4/11/22 the TV system has been fixed and is a huge improvement to my stay Glad to see management making these fixes***2 Rooms have some weird maintenance issues The thermostat on the wall appears to do nothing at all You have to control from the AC unit3Surprisingly, hot water is sometimes iffy I’ve never seen this in any hotel I’ve stayed in***After the first time I had this issue, I’ve not had any problems in the three stays at this property since my review Must have been a fluke***4 Breakfast is not bad For this kind of property I’m satisfiedI should reiterate, the staff has been great The housekeeping has been great and the desk personnel have always responded quickly to anything I’ve asked for5 Overall, the hotel was clean and well kept6 Noise is pretty good Occasionally have had neighbors above that weren’t all that considerate, but overall it has been pretty quiet in my room I definitely appreciate

K W

Nice clean hotel Staff was extremely nice and attentive We stay at a lot of Home2 Suites and this one was on par with what we’ve come to expect from this brand

However, the breakfast at this location leaves a lot to be desired Not many options and the breakfast sandwiches taste horrible The grits were never done all the way and the waffle maker sticks on every waffle and you have to tear the waffle apart to get it out of the iron

Room was clean but the screen was missing from the sink and water sprayed everywhere Great restaurant next door – thanks for the recommendation Best Western Small pet area is appreciated as our dog kept getting prickles in his paws when we walked on the streets/sidewalks

Recommendation is to request a room not near the stairs…we had a lady smoking there and chatting on her phone for hours Rooms on the second floor have cool vaulted ceilings

Nicoletta Christina

I was supposed to be camping in Texas, but abandoned those plans because of a thunderstorm I feel very lucky I was able to get a room for me and my kitty at this place; the staff were wonderful and the rooms were clean They also gave me a coupon for Los Cerritos Mexican Kitchen next door, and I got a really good breakfast burrito there

A good place to stay in town!

Maaike

Very nice stay! Front desk employe was really friendly and helpfull Felt very welcome Rooms were what you’d expect from a BW but the pool was really clean, lots of pool towels and well maintained

Breakfast looked simpel but complete(we went to Denny’s, which I would not recommend) Would recommend this for a shirt stoppver to Roswell

Room was nice and clean The staff was informative and helpful There were plenty of towels and blankets available

Room was a little small but since we spent our time exploring the town, this wasn’t an issue for us The coffee maker in the room looked kinda gross so I avoided that but there is plenty of coffee in the breakfast area in the morningSeems really safe All the doors of the facility face the main office and they have cameras tooWe really enjoyed the breakfast especially the pancake maker My kids could not get enough of those pancakes The dining area was nice and clean and spaciousLots of fun activities within a short walking or driving distance; even that cool UFO shaped McDonald’s that lights up at night and has a big indoor play area is close byWe would definitely stay here again

Steve Dempsey

My stay was a little short but pleasant one Great location near downtown plus a few restaurants within 2 blocks Rates are reasonable as well

Check in process was quick and painless Room was clean and bed is comfyNo problems at all, I do recommend staying here

Barbara Cook

Front desk clerk was great, friendly & helpful Room was super spacious! No ice machine at all, was told it had been out of order for months Indoor pool was open but we didn’t use it

Ample parking but there were a few questionable people hanging outside of motel next door No grass at all for dogs, my girl was not happy Shower was a slow trickle and finding warm water was a challenge If passing thru town again I would consider again

I’m usually very easy on my ratings but my friend and I were about to turn in for the night and he decided to take a shower, he flipped the lights on and roaches scurried everywhere Absolutely not okay! In addition there were stains on my sheets of a sticky black material and we found a little girls hair clip just on the ground Staff during check-in and check-out we’re friendly and helpful

Just cleaning of the location needs a huge revamp The previous La Quinta we stayed in outside of Dallas was much nicer

Elena

My family needed an overnight stay on our way home This hotel had friendly front desk staff and that was honestly the best part of our stay Our room had live & dead bugs, including on the bed

The duvet was stained and the shower was extremely slow to drain Due to the condition of our room, we didn’t bother to eat breakfast, we opted to eat out instead I do not recommend this hotel Your best bet is probably an air bnb

Doesn’t live up to the Candlewood name This hotel is run down, in the middle of a renovation and is horribly outdated TV has lines all over it, no HDMI, appliances are older than me, it has an alarm clock from the 60’s, tiny rooms, hardly any cookware

The hotel clerk was nice enough to offer me a DVD player the size of a smart car for me to bring to my room and I could rent a DVD from the front desk Yes this DVD player has the 3 colored cord plugs that I haven’t seen since VHS players were a thing No breakfast, horrible gym, no business center, the pantry was empty and never restocked Spend a little more money and stay somewhere else

Kaelyn Bagwell

No way to respond to their response I am in property management and know what bedbugs are I’m appalled that with an attached picture of a bedbug in the room it’s still being said there’s no bugs?! Either they need a new pest company or are just responding quickly to reviews to save face

Makes me terrified to want to stay at their hotels again!

Jukka Jumisko

You can find a better hotel with breakfast included in town with the same priceI picked this hotel because it has a hot tub Hot tub didn’t work

I found out in the morning that there was only decaf coffee in the room I got regular coffee and sugar after asking but no creamTv was new Samsung flat screen but the cable box is not high definition Tv image is stretched and you can’t see sport team player numbersInternet was so spotty that watching movie online was stop and goKing size bed was very goodBedroom doesn’t have air conditioner Living room air conditioner blows cold straight to your face when you are watching tv on the couch Makes you freezeAlarm clock time was off and alarm went off early on Saturday morning waking me unnecessarilyBring your own corkscrew Room had a stale smell Lysol spray took care of it

I get sent here for work too often to count, and the front desk folk are always super nice and accommodating I’ve only ever had one issue with a room (difficult plug to switch to shower), and they were able to switch me over to a different one with little issueThe rooms are always clean, always well kept, and the breakfast is good

Well worth the stay

Warner A

Traveling with my family and stopped to stay here Around 12:30am I decided to go down to the front desk and get my own room (I could not take the snoring)I was told by the front desk that they do not have any rooms available because they are at capacity

Well, the parking lot would absolutely disagree with what the lady at the front desk saidNot only that, but the beds feel like they were made of cardboard The room smelled very odd and the soap was used and not changed out prior to our arrivalThe lobby flooded and so did the elevatorHere is the interesting part for management to read Not only am I not going to stay here anymore, but on Monday morning when I get to my office I am going to terminate my contract with Holiday Inn at all levels and locations of my companyCheers!

Roni MeyersPeone

The rooms were quiet, clean and sanitized Our bed was comfortable and I slept soundly We utilized the fridge, coffee and microwave, all worked were clean and maintained

I enjoyed the shower dispensers The shower was easy to use, the water was got hot with good pressureThe coffee was good, they could improve their creamer game The lighting was dimmer than i prefer and made it challenging when applying my lashes due to me being short with bad eyes i couldnt get close enough to the bathroom mirror to see I used the closet mirror but the lighting was very dim there It’d be great if they added a magnifying mirror that extends out for make up applications The breakfast was what you’d expect The wifi worked well for a while but eventually lagged and kicked my husband off Over all we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again next time because of how clean and safe we felt here

It’s very quiet, and as far as RV parks go it is (applicable-fair)

: Well maintained, moderately safe location, and full of potential for greatnessCon’s;There’s not really much to enjoy, on a park community basis Amenities like tasteful lighting, media audio/video systems, horseshoes, entertainment services for children, cultural merchandising, would set a new tone for: temporary resident’s, there dwelling’s, local resident’s, county revenue, small/large businesses owners, and Roswell itselfPeople who are having fun, and being catered to will always produce: more people, good memorie’s, growth, and sensible expansion And it’s not easy by any means, but worthwhile, and of coarse lucrativeIf you read this review, and you call Chavez county home I want to call on the wisdom of a “world” renowned historical figure And I’m really hoping someone from Chavez County can [post] a name to this quote”Any fool can make something biggerActual improvement to anything is both; rare, and rewarding”SincerelySignedDOC

It was clean About the best we could say for it We had the handicapped room and the walk in shower was horrible

No matter how you positioned the shower head it went all over The entire bathroom was flooded every time you took a shower and there was no drain in the bathroom except for the actual shower and no slope The beds were very uncomfortable They really need to update at least that room

Becky Thompson

Everything was so gross First room there was hair all on bathroom counter, then the bathtub had hair all in it and hanging off the soap holder Every single towel was stained and looked like they hadnt been washed

The room was so dingy and filthy I didn’t want to put any of our belongings on anything We told front desk and they upgraded us to a king suite That room was just as small as a regular room and gross Moved everything over there and same thing Hair on bathroom counter and in shower Whole room was filthy I had antibacterial wipes and i went through and cleaned everything Luckily we were only staying one night We were traveling through from Oklahoma and if it wasn’t so late I would have changed hotels The whole hotel needs a deep cleaning All the walls are so gross Had things dripping down the walls in both rooms we were in Cushions all stained Second room had a nasty smell We wouldn’t even eat the breakfast because I didn’t trust it after our rooms were so bad Also, needs updating really bad All the hamptoms we stay at in Oklahoma are extremely clean and modern Will not stay here ever again The front desk clerk was super welcoming and friendly though

Monalisa Mattin (Woman of Surprise)

After 10hours drive we received a warm welcome from the guy receptionist Love how they decorate for Easter too They let my son & husband use the pool until 10:30pm, which im greatful

Breakfast is great & tasty The only issue is spider & spider web in the bathroom & dead insects underneath the AC & bathroom floor Alive insect by the sink too

Fabulous hotel, especially for the price! Alien theme is fun, rooms are clean, a/c works well (it was 107 degrees outside during our stay), staff is friendly and helpful! Area where hotel is located is quiet and close to restaurants and other attractions Parking right in front of your hotel room is a nice added perk No complaints! We’d definitely stay here again

Angel Cianci

10/5 stars if I could! I’ve been here twice recently (December 2021 and March 2022) and each time the hotel is so clean, the mattresses are SO well protected with multiple layers of protection so guaranteed no bed bugs, very affordable, very safe, ground parking right outside of your room so you have great access to your vehicle which was a huge plus since both times I stayed I was road tripping with lots of big items The floors are tile, there’s no carpet so it’s also very apparent how clean the floors are And it’s pet friendly!!! Stayed with my dog the first time and my friend brought their cats the 2nd time

The staff is also very kind and helpful Overall lovely stay Whenever I pass through Roswell I will ALWAYS stay here

Zoé Chauveau

I showed up at 22:30 after I had to swiftly leave another motel that had bed bugs (I let you imagine how I found this out

Brrrrrh) And was welcomed very kindly by the receptionist Good price, spotless room that reassuringly smelled of freshly cleaned laundry 🙂 , every appliance is new, the bedding and pillows are good quality And they have a basic, but decent breakfast on offer I definitely recommend staying there !

Pretty good It’s a good deal with passport america I would advise against staying here with animals or if you want to hang out outside at all

There are so many goat heads, and I mean a lot Thankfully I had booties for my dog but those would be covered after we took her out It smells from the cows, again if you want to be outside hanging out Electric and water both work good Lots of road traffic but we slept good as the park is quiet We made trips to Roswell and Carlsbad Caverns and had no issues People are kind!

This was a very nice Holiday Inn Express, although it was the most expensive The breakfast was good, sausage, eggs, toast, fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, yogurt and more The room was very niceThere are two restaurants in very short walking distance from the hotel

The refrigerator worked, which in many hotels in the past I stayed, are barely coolThere is a safe in the room for valuablesWhat I didn’t like wasThey charged a $50 incidental fee It was returned to me, but that is a surprise when it pops up on your credit card notificationMaybe hotel rooms have changed since covidI did not see a bible, notepad/paper or pen in the room and no skin lotion providedYet, there is a TV remote and coffee makerThey did not send an email to confirm reservation arrival time the day before as the other 2 holiday inn express’ we stayed during our tripI sent an email asking questions about nearby restaurants (twice) and never received an answer from the staff

Motivate To Be Healthy

We arrived late Tuesday night the 5th The night clerk (Steven) was polite and friendly Great customer service and very thorough in explaining the hotel layout

Our room was nice and comfy The bed was comfy and nicely done The bathroom layout was better than most Meaning the door gets in the way of the shower and too close to the toilet Not on this one The color of the wall in the bathroom was a great added touch Our room was nice and clean The shower water had great pressure and the water felt soft I was happy 😊 though we did not have breakfast here my husband said it looked good But we did have coffee which was good I would recommend this hotel for sure 😊🌞🌻

Very clean and spacious rooms However for a room at this type of hotel I would have expected a little better sound insulation from the adjoining rooms Not that our neighbors were loud but I was surprised that with the air conditioner on continuously that I could hear them at all

Also the air conditioner itself had a rattle to it that kicked on and off that was kind of annoying For the most part the bathroom fixtures worked fine but the shower had a very poor throw and I had to stand directly underneath it I also had to constantly adjust the water temperature as it kept getting colder as the shower went on The breakfast was pretty good in that in addition to the usual cold breakfast item they had sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, and omelettes in warmers

Room was clean The beds were comfortable There was no hot water

At least, there was no hot water in our room’s bathroom Not good I haven’t had to take cold showers since my Army days in some godforsaken places We made the best of it and had a good time in Roswell Note: there were ongoing renovations being made to rooms but just seemed to be carpet, or vinyl flooring Don’t know if there were other works going on that may have had something to do with the water None of this was mentioned on the reservations website, or on the specific property’s website Might want to let people know in future

Not worth your money or time booking at this hotel!!!!! Highly highly recommended going Somewhere else and wasn’t clean! The Manger not only treats the costumes poorly but also his worker’s!!! Sad to see how little the Manger Victor was rude and unpleasant!!!!! Kept locking out of our rooms and wouldn’t give us supplies like towels or tissue Swing pool was dirty and had mold! Would definitely reconsider what you spent your money on in this hotel! Unless you like people who oare RUDE!!!

Stayed here for 2 days Room is comfy and large AC worked great and place smelled great

Only complaint is that the coffee machine setup didn’t come with coffee/creamer/sugar, had to go to the front desk and ask and they seemed upset by it Also no towels in the room, had to ask for some and they were upset about that to Continental breakfast was great as well Lots of options

Great hotel had an awesome time here in Roswell 👽 Rooms are very comfortable and welcoming The service was excellent the only complaint I have is that every morning at hotels breakfast there were like 15 flies bothering everyone

The lady cook was told about the problem but next morning same problem with the flies Well as an overall nice hotel felt well rested every morning

This was our last place of lodging on a long road trip through four states Lucky for the other places, it wasn’t the first, because the bar would have been set pretty high Comfortable beds, an indoor pool and

are you sitting down?a hot breakfast! The first we’ve seen in a couple of years When the desk clerk was telling me the breakfast items, I l stopped her and said “You had me at biscuits and gravy”

This is one of the best kept secrets of where to chill while visiting the Roswell area Lee is wonderful-very sweet & kind The showers/bathrooms are immaculate

Lee greets you & is well prepared with literature that shows you points of interest, gives phone numbers & addresses of those points of interest Their are only 10 sites in this park, so there is no over crowding The immediate surrounding area is farm land and very relaxing We intended to only stay 3 nights but extended to 5 We felt very safe here

Cute RV park Well maintained Nice showers and laundry facilities

Dog path and farmland behind RV park Sites are a little close together We stayed in site 4 which didn’t have the evening shade Close to Main Street Cell service was average About 15 channels with antenna RV park was quiet although you can hear some traffic from the highway Lee, the owner was very friendly The office/lobby area is super cute and has refreshments for purchase We would stay here again!

One of the good ones We’re here in May and it’s been 100 Lots of trees for shade and they’re alive with birds

Backs to farmland so the views are stunning and it’s very peaceful It is on a major road so there’s some traffic noise, but it competes with the birds and isn’t so bad The owner, Lee, is very nice and clearly takes pride in her park She has a great “clubhouse” with laundry and bathrooms, ice, ice cream and sodas you can buy, along with books and movies you can borrow/exchange She was kind enough to give us a tour and highlight some of the must-do’s in town It’s a small park but if you’re looking to explore Roswell, it’s a gem in the rough
