Stayed here for almost two weeks off and on for business travel Had to stay here due to unavailable space at other locations I stayed here during the spring training, so the local area was pretty well booked and busy

This location is more upscale than most Residence Inn locations I stay at This hotel has more comfortable couch and chairs than typical Deco was more modern and brighter but muted This location was very clean and well keptStaff was helpful with charging issues, locating lost items, and broken kitchen items I felt cared for, so positive comments to the staff! I was in all hours of the night and saw late hours of cleaning and maintenanceBreakfast is also more upscale than typical Residence Inn locations Almost every morning, I had a cheese or Denver style mini omelet There were occasional potatoes and sausages as well Everything is server in to-go box, which I find annoying and wasteful The lobby area for breakfast is not convenient – essentially one large table with chairs The lobby also has some couches and lounge tables/chairs i think most guests are smart to take to-go box back to room and use the room provided silverware and reduce wasteLaundry room is on bottom floor and spacious enough for folding and arranging laundryParking is partially negative Almost all parking is on the east end, so minimal spaces for short walks to west end rooms Guests use the 10 minute check-in/check-out spots for parking – annoyingThe hotel is isolated for any walkable entertainment or food But there is plenty within an easy 7 minute drive Traffic lights and streets are easy to access Hotel is close to HW 60, which made it easy for me to drive to worksiteOverall, I enjoyed this location and would visit again

We stayed 8 days in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite 3 adults Very clean hotel

They are still doing the covid type breakfast which was just ok They have nice lobby and eating area Heated pool and hot tub, small basketball court Big outside covered eating/sitting area with a grill you can use They also have a nice gas firepit to sit around Sheila was super friendly and helpful our entire stay We only had two things we would suggest; fix the hallway lights that have burned out and add a outdoor bench or two to the backside of hotel so guests can enjoy the morning sun When in Mesa we will definitely stay there again

Adrianne

When you first walk in and do a scan of the room its really nice, but when you look closer you see the poor quality of cleaning and upkeep on the rooms The bathtub wouldn’t drain so when we showered we stood in the dirty shower water, the bathroom corner had what looked like mold all over it, the fridge had crumbs and sticky stuff on it, the carpet felt like it hadn’t been cleaned properly, etc I was disappointed about this especially because this hotel is fairly new

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Place in Gilbert I walk in and was greeted with a beautiful smile and a friendly hello by Isabel The hotel had a hot breakfast and Brenda and Tina had that same friendly attitude and just willing to make sure that you had what you needed

Upon checkout Abigail had that smile even with a couple of people in line I really liked how nice and friendly the staff were The rooms are nice and best of all a comfortable bed I would definitely stay there again

Asnley Smith

They offer continental breakfast but not friendly for dietary restrictions like being lactose intolerant, having an egg allergy or being vegan because almost everything there has milk and egg in it The main option for breakfast is fruit and it isn’t pleasant to eat They also provide potato’s which taste like card board, do not recommend eating them

Nothing wrong with the room, the bed was very comfortable

Melissa Childs

I stayed here multiple weekends in a row for my daughter’s competition weekends Leslee was fabulous to work with from start to finish The front desk staff was friendly and attentive

My room was clean and my daughter loved the “living room” area I will definitely be back for the upcoming season’s competitions, and will continue to recommend this hotel for other parents on my daughter’s team

We had a really great experience all around We travel often for work and bring our toddler with us, and this hotel met all our needs It was very clean, quiet, and had a well-equipped kitchen

The sheets felt like they had been in use since 1998, but that’s my only complaints Also special compliments to the staff who took our stay to the next level Ethan who checked us in went above and beyond, better than some five star resorts we have stayed at The person checking us out this morning was very helpful and friendly too Would stay here again

Cooper Marquez

When we arrived, they kindly said that none of the rooms where ready, so we asked if we could just leave our luggage by her desk so that they won’t over heat when we wee out at soccer all day Immediately they double checked and it turned out, a bunch of rooms that were reserved nobody showed up As we headed on outside to grab stuff from the car, the manager rushed out to tell us that good news, getting us in a room right away

Props to the Manager and only desk employee for their quick service, getting us a room early, and going above and beyond at our stay Great job to the manager for hiring hard-working staff That manager worked her butt off making guests feel at home!

DaLeesia Simmons

Never stayed at a Home2 location and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was It was very clean, rooms were a nice size, they had a nice continental breakfast, and the amenities were great I love the fact that rooms were equipped with a full size fridge, microwave, and dishwasher

On top of that, GREAT LOCATION! I will definitely be coming back!

Place is very nice on all fonts except 2 which is why I have given a 3 First Is personal service Everyone is very nice and does their job but there is no personal service

For example, they do not offer any rides to the airport which is less than 10 miles out So a reserved Uber is 60 dollars considering luggage They will not even bring a luggage cart to your room Was told they don’t do that This may be snobby but for 350 a night, a price that was raised when we got to the hotel after a canceled flight, and they were booking fast, you would think they would offer some help So that brings me to the second reason which is price With no other benefits other than the nice building itself we spent 600 for 36 hours of “figure it out yourself” said very politely though At this cost, it is not a 5 star or what I expect of a 5 star paying this much

Mary Williams

The staff is very nice and professionalI turned down my bed and found crumbs in it The clerk immediately got me moved to another room

The manager had a problem with me making a complaint about it and was disrespectful, rude and didn’t want to listen to meThe breakfast was good Overall the hotel was nice

JP Allen

Holiday Inns are a very standardized product and so my rating is exclusively based on the staff and maintenance The front desk staff is very, very good I wouldn’t be shocked if they are poached in the near future by someone willing to pay them more

The maintenance is also very good at this location I am uncertain if the place is newly remodeled but the carpets and wallpaper are all in good shape The bathroom is very clean and the drain empties well

My Wife and I visited for a 3 day weekend and golf lessons to celebrate our anniversary It was a wonderful experience all around! Our 2-day Golf School with Arlene was an absolute blast, she is fantastic and made the experience well worth it for both my Wife and I, we will definitely be back The views and grounds are beautiful, relaxed atmosphere, and our outdoor jacuzzi patio hit the spot as well as the on-site Spa date for my Wife

Do take in mind that this is an older property from a Lodging/Resort standpoint bordering the wilderness so don’t expect the rooms to be the ritz, but the great value reflects that Will definitely make this place a yearly getaway spot!

Joshua Reach

Ended up just driving home at midnight instead of staying here The outside of the resort is beautiful but the rooms are in desperate need of updating and sound proofing There was a significant musty smell and felt like a 2 star hotel with 4 star square footage (big rooms and cool layouts at least)

It feels like it was built in the 80s and just never updated or cared for Clean, but never cared for or updatedFood at the restaurant is very very good, one of the bartenders we had was amazing (can’t remember her name though), and the wait staff is great – the manager was not the best though Everything closes early and opens late in the morning, even on the weekends, making it difficult to have events here or larger groupsWith better hours and renovated rooms, this place could be amazing It’s just not right now

Bob Crowder

My wife and I have attended many events at Gold Canyon Golf Resort and have always enjoyed the professionalism of service we have received from Charlene and her staff at these events From the excellent food selections we have enjoyed and been served to the ambiance and atmosphere that Charlene and her team provides, it allows one to have a delightful experience That exceeds anywhere else in the Valley! While attending a wedding and reception 2 weeks ago, we can only say that once again, Charlene and her team of service professionals have outdone themselves!Thank you again Charlene and all of your Staff for going up and above for a wonderful evenings experience of a high quality Of food, facility, and friendliness that is always enjoyed by all in attendance at any of the Gold Canyon Golf Resort events! This is why we keep coming back!

I visited this place mostly to go to their golf snack shop The place is very nice and I heard the rent is quite expensive if you have a trailer on their property It is well maintained and staffed with retirees who live in the area who are very friendly

The sandwiches are huge, well made and very filling for the price We went there twice because it was so good

Terry & Sue Dunay

The absolute best place around Phoenix suburbs to stay They are always trying to keep 1500 people happy that is hard They do not allow extra trailers, no loud noises coming from any generators, or diesel items, extra decorations all over the yards (except for a holiday) many love the fact it’s so clean looking all the time

It’s our home away from home for over 8 yrs So much to do and class to take your always busy The beautiful palm trees and flowers the Mountain View’s of Superstition and the golf course tops the beauty We like that they keep the rules strict on dogs, noise, trailers, & litter it makes it a Resort verses a campground Fantastic managers from years back to present Diana and Keith are always easy to talk to and listen they are two special people

I lost an item at this location and it’s pretty obvious housekeeping found the item and didn’t turn it in! That makes me furious because it’s a priceless item and it would’ve been nice if they were nice enough to turn it in but they didn’t They just played dumb when I kept asking about the lost item If you stay here don’t leave anything behind bc you’ll never see it!

The customer is always right Not at this establishment Especially with Michelle

She doesn’t know how to treat customers I should know I have worked customer service jobs for way too many years to count You can even hear the dread in her voice when she answers the phone You can tell how much she hates her job Not only did I not receive the experience I paid excessive amounts of money for because let’s be realthis inflation with these hotels is getting way out of control and we have just been accepting this bad behavior Everyone is still using this pandemic as an excuse to charge us more and give us less We consumers have been accepting of this I’m no longer tolerating this! Instead of trying to alleviate the situation or find another way to accommodate me all she did was argue with me and provoke more anger She’s always right and therefore you are wrong I travel for work and frequent hotels quite often and this is not how you treat people She will tell you I was escorted off the property by the cops That was a lie She did threaten it though The fact that I paid $200 for a room and slept in my car has not escaped me either I’m owed a refund at this point and I have contacted the BBB

Robert Wilson

Very impressed by this location! The room was spotless and my partner and I had no complaints about the room The beds were comfy and bathroom nice Having a hot breakfast in the morning was wonderful

Eggs, potatoes, sausage, yogurt, and a waffle maker to name a few options The pool looked great and I wish I had a chance to use it The free WiFi option in room isn’t spectacular, but it is consistent and didn’t drop out 10Mbps down/up There is a 24/7 WinCo Foods very close by which made getting some late night snacks and affordable dinner to microwave convenient No complaints about staff, everyone was friendly and welcoming Will be staying here again next time I’m in the area

Ava Miller

We were runming late for check in beacuse of a car accident so a 2 hour trip took 4! Amanda text to make sure we we were still on our way She made our stay possible as i was having surgery the next morning The hotel was clean and beds comfortable and cold a/c! My boyfriend enjoyed the hot breakfast as well

Thank you Amanda for going above and beyond to make our stay possible and welcoming!

I like that the place is very clean I like that the rooms have good big enough and have enough counter space to put our belongings on and not on the floor I do like the bathroom and shower size

They pillows on the bed felt very comfortable and good I can tell they do maintain their building and make sure nothing is out of place I can’t escape to pay attention to things in hotel rooms I do that all the time I look for things, not necessarily to complain but to report those things to the main desk so no one else gets hurt At this room we stayed at, nothing was out of place as I said I really enjoyed our stay there

Erin Wofford

You get what you pay for The whole place has an updated “hostel” vibe Only difference is you get your own room and bathroom

When you first walk in you can’t tell if you walked into the lobby of the hotel or a cafe of some kind We booked a king room, where you get all the typical amenities The room was so small however there was barely room for two suitcases There was about 2 feet on each side of the bed When you look at the photos on their website, their king room is showing the entire room minus the bathroom The mattress was lumpy, and the springs in it squeaked with every little movement The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired Lastly, the hot water in the shower had no middle ground It was either really hot or luke warm which would fluctuate between being cool and too hot The room was clean though and staff was friendly

Amy R.

The building, rooms, and stay were all very pleasant Everything is clean and it smells nice The front desk staff is a little odd and the lady that was there this morning was rude and argumentative

We kept having to go down stairs to have our room keys reactivated The lady insisted it was all because the key card was next to my cell phone Sure, maybe that would cause my key card not to work, but that wouldn’t deactivate our electronic key or the other card Breakfast was pretty good Coffee was good I enjoyed the toiletries The lemon body wash and lotion smell divine All in all, I would stay here again Shopping was also very close!!

I dud not stay at this bW but we did visit tge var/restaurant attached What a disgusting excuse of a manager After ordering fountain drinks we could not get waited on to order food

The waitress was playing with her phone and after a while we walked out to leave The manager followed us out to the parking lot cussing that who in (f) did we think we were ordering those fountain drinks and then just walking out without paying for them I trued to explain but he was having none of it and continued to use tge (f) word Still he would not listen to me and continued cussing I gave him ten dollars for the drinks abd told him to keep the tip and we would never be back Two of us in our mid seventies and one lady in her early eighties and we should never have had to go through that Hard to believe Best Western would be associated with someone like that! To Be sure I’ll be telling my friends from Gold Canyon about this and to spread the word to not patronize this place!

The location is decent but in the middle of nowhere The price was pretty decent and pet depositThe grounds definitely needs a lot of work

It was overgrown and dark The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed except the fridge was not working correctly and didn’t notice until my husband got food poisoning from his leftovers not being chilled properlyStaff was rude when asked where the breakfast was being served

B Sc

Rooms were quite clean, I had no complaintsTowels and pillows were fully stocked, as in they put a couple extra and the employee, Kim, is a doll Had it not been for her, the rate wouldn’t have been so high

When I first got there she greeted me very politely and even offered to step away from the counter to assist me with my belongings since I had two kids and a few things I needed to drag inShe asked if I needed a crib for my daughter, I never even knew these existed but I politely declined as to I sleep with my kidsAsked if I needed any extra pillows, made fresh popcornIt was mainly nice since she was very personable, not like mostAlso I had checked out and failed to get my luggage in my car and I left it in the parking lot and she took the time to bring it in and keep it, while I drove at least 45 minutes backKim needs a raise!!!

The hotel was extremely conscious of being cleanly The complimentary breakfast is over and above so wonderful the kitchen staff are amazing The front desk people are really nice and housekeeping helped me with any thing that I needed thing that I was disabled it was a few things

This hotel was so nice I think I could invent a reason to come back! The room was really big and the rolling shower was excellent It was hard to get to the pool area with a wheelchair without help The door is heavy Everywhere else was fine, even ice machine!

100% recommend! We are a family of 4 and try to keep things budget friendly yet comfortable I was so happy with this hotel and especially the staff! Everyone was SUPER friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was really good! Our kids had a great time in the pool and enjoyed this hotel so much I can’t recommend it enough, especially for the price, awesome deal! We will be back for sure!

We were supposed to be celebrating our son’s wedding but this stay turned into an absolute nightmare I called on 2/11/22 to ask if there was a handicap accessible room as my husband & I are disabled I was assured by the person with whom I spoke that she confirmed with the hotel there was 1 room, which she booked for 2 nights, 2/18-2/20

We got to the hotel to change & headed right out to the rehearsal dinner It wasn’t until we returned that we noticed the toilet was so rediculously low I had trouble getting up & there were no bars near the toilet nor anything I could grab to get up We had to call paramedics twice that night because of a couple of episodes I noticed the shower was also not handicap accessible I was assured on the phone it was a walk-in shower but it was a tub & only had 1 grab bar for assistance After the 2nd call to paramedics at 4 am, they arrived but had to wait a few minutes because no one was at the front desk Throughout the night we expressed our frustration with the situation, lack of disability aides (seat riser, grab bars, shower, etc) for persons with disabilities & the front desk clerk was the only person there As I was packing to leave, I noticed there were only TWO handicap parking spaces for the entire hotel! Also, the curtains didn’t close, the middle panel was sheer, so there was no privacy We left at 5 am, my husband missed our son’s wedding because of all that happened & additional pain he was in from the waiting

Reserved a block of rooms for a wedding and arranged a shuttle with the hotel to/from the wedding venue for the guests Had email confirmation of pickup times for the shuttle Day of wedding, guests called me to inform me the hotel had no record of shuttle being reserved! After many calls with the hotel and the person I dealt with for the bookings, the person told me they forgot to tell me they had canceled my shuttle reservation

This was at 4:45pm on the wedding day ( pick up time was scheduled for 4:15) This left hotel guests confused and then having to drive and be late for the start This was not something I should have had to deal with an hour before my daughter’s wedding Hotel might have been great (I did not stay there) but I wouldn’t recommend for events where you want their shuttle for transportation

I’m only giving two stars because the people at the Bistro are very nice And most of the front desk people were also very friendly We stayed here four days and our room wasn’t serviced once

We asked multiple times if we were on the list to have our room cleaned and was told “yes”, but it never happened After staying with two young boys we really needed just one cleaning I was even willing to do it myself I even called to see where I could take our garbage and no one could help me with an answer

Complete DisasterShow up to find that the room did not have a fold-away couch bed as PROMISED at our 3am arrival, their solution to their screw up was an Air Mattress

Really?? Paying over $400 night, and they give me an Air Mattress?? It was So Loud and Uncomfortable I slept on the floor
