Disappointed Good location Room was clean, but sparse

Bathroom was also clean, but also very limited in supplies No place to comfortably sit after long day on the road Just a desk chair As seniors (75+), we need a few creatures comforts this room did not offer Lighting was inadequate, and room seemed dark Had to move nightstand and unplug the lamp ( which made the room even darker!) b/c we both use sleep machines and extra outlets only on one side of the bed I will be checking pictures and amenities more carefully, but likely will not choose this hotel again Hilton can do better

Jennifer Ete

I like staying here We’ve stayed several times, because the room is always clean, the staff is always attentive and friendly, the cost is perfect for the property, and the beds are comfortable The location is perfect if you need to be near the interstate

The on/off ramp might be 1/2 mile from the hotel, yet, it is very quiet in the rooms No outside noise at all

The rooms were clean and smelled clean as we came in The bathrooms appeared to be recently remodeled The only downside is that it’s a walk in shower and we have a baby, so bathing her was a challenge

It was a great location We went to The Vintage for dinner and in the morning staff helped me locate a great place for breakfast – Milfreds Speaking of the staff I’ve never felt so welcomed and seen such helpful staff at a hotel before This was a great team and worth visiting again

Ruben Castro

Highly recommend this location/hotel! Quick, fast check in The hotel was well maintained, super clean inside and in my room (420) Free parking is not available, however, there is nearby parking for $15 or valet parking for $20(same parking lot as self parking)

The hotel staff were friendly, they made me feel welcomed and happy to support/assist me Wonderful city views from my balcony, walking distance to bars, restaurants, river walk, church, monuments, great sightseeing too! There is also a bar, Starbucks and restaurant inside the hotel

Bill Pandey

They fired my friend because he couldn’t work due to a family death When he called to get his job back they never answered and bad mouthed him His managers seemed to be against his religion as well

They wouldn’t allow him to work weekdays, preventing him from being able to go home on weekends Only giving 2 stars because his coworkers were good and pay was better compared to other hotels in the area

I stayed there this weekend and checked my bed like normal and found hair was everywhere I need this place to start changing the sheets like they are suppose to The shower had hair in it

The staff was great but the room was not up to standard Thankfully I always bring cleaning supplies on my trips and my own bedding for times like this

Chelsey Kreil

Hotel Was Perfectly Situated, Easy To Access This Is Super Important When Unfamiliar With Baton Rouge! Shower/Bathroom Facilities Were Amazing! The Shower Was Modern With Plenty Of Hot Water And Shampoo/Conditioner Dispenser Available ‘In’ The Shower These Products Have Left My Hair Soft And Feeling Amazing For Two Days! One Tidbit To Share Is That The Beds Are Very Soft, Almost Too Soft (If There Is Ever Such A Thing)

After Having Been On The Road For Hours It Was Nice To Sink Into The Covers And Before I Know It I Took A Nap (Haha)

Paul Woodburn

I had a brief stay in this hotel on business and the outside and foyer was quite nice Adequate parking, shuttle service to the airport and within walking distance to heart attack inducing fast food and fast casual eating establishments The room however was another level

A lower level I went to bed fine that first night but then I was awakened by a loud screech outside my window and something crawling on my face Did I just check in to the Bates motel instead of Springhill Suites? Disoriented after being jarred from a long overdue sleep, I got up to check the noise It was a black bird with a nest in a tree outside my window and a line of ants with a trail leading to my bedDefinitely in need of an ant/termite fumigation treatment Surprised it has not been reduced to an anthill already

I selected it for the location which was great, but my room was not very clean, still had pop stains on the bed side table and fingerprints on the mirror and some hair left on the bathroom counter I asked for room service but when I got back later it hadn’t been done I asked again and it was done

Tip! Make sure there isn’t a Cheer competition at the hotel when you stay there No ones fault but wow, its noisy

Michal Brichacek

Very good hotel Staff that we dealt with were all very friendly and pleasant Rooms were clean and comfortable

The hotel has lots of parking available at no charge The pool area is very nice and well maintained The gym is probably the best I’ve seen of any hotel anywhere It has plenty of modern equipment available, and has both an indoor and outdoor section

Autumn Mastin

I had posted a review meant as a draft but it was handled by the manager before I even knew it was posted The staff has been accommodating of the issues I had upon arriving My room didn’t have a dresser and they offered to move me to a different one, and the fridge was warm, but fixed by maintenance once notified

Big thank yous to the staff and manager for sure

We were needing a room at the last moment for a guest that was singing at our church concert in Tickfaw, La I talked with Kay who was extremely helpful in setting up the room for our guest She was so pleasant to talk with

Our guest was so pleased with the room! He travels across the US ministering churches and said that this was one of the most nicest room he ever stayed in We will be booking with Best Western Plus in Walker again

Juliana Figueroa

Was looking for a place to stay overnight for 2 families Called so many hotels prior about room availablilty and they ask so many questions (which is so annoying, as we were only trying to sleep and rest for the night! ) With Best Western hotel I called and booked right away no Hassel whatsoever Great rooms, clean and beds and pillows are so comfy

the rooms don’t stink like other hotels we stayed at Plus they had a good variety of breakfast options We are very satisfied with our stay Keep up the great service ! I’ll make sure if I come back this way I stay here again in the future

Chris B

Very comfortable hotel and I was warmly greeted upon arrival I was a couple of hours early, but rooms were available and they quickly checked me in Amenities were appropriate and the bed comfortable

Breakfast was the only weakness with a limited selection that was the same all 4 days of my stay This, however, is the least of my concerns when picking a hotel Overall, a very pleasant stay during my business trip

We stayed at the Watermark Hotel in Baton Rouge a few weekends ago and had a lovely experience Everyone there was friendly, engaging and professional We highly recommend this beautiful and historical hotel for your next visit to Baton Rouge

The rooms and artwork are outstanding We would like to give a shout out to Mr Bill who gave us the best tour we’ve ever had at a hotel If he’s not the official, historical tour guide, he should be! What a beautiful soul and incredibly sweet man

Angie Chen

We have been to a lot of Marriotts both domestically and internationally This is by far one of the best What makes it extra special is the staff, from front desk check in to security

They really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and special The hotel building itself is a destination on to its own with rich history and interesting architecture details The rooms are well designed and beds are comfortable The views of the Mississippi River cannot be beat Highly recommended as a great stop on the way or back from Florida

Robin Luttrell

We stayed at the Watermark as part of a wedding and had a wonderful time The rooms were very nice and the staff was even nicer I must admit the valet team was superb! They were quick to retrieve our cars, engaging and very friendly

James, in particular, was extremely nice as he loaded our car for departure I wish I knew the names of the other valets because they were all outstanding!

DEBIT CARD STOLEN FROM HOTEL ROOM BY STAFF!I’ve been a hilton member for 6+ years, staying at their hotels for over 200 nights per year and this is the first time I’ve experienced something similarBe very careful when you stay at this hotel I had to live through hell whenever somebody got into my room, stole my debit card and used it at a gas station in Baton Rouge

Even though the manager confirmed somebody from his team entered the room but didn’t clean it, he said the cameras were not working and that I should go to the police He washed his hands even though he knew someone was in the room whenever they were not supposed to

Sherry Jackson

Unclean Breakfast area needs someone to actually USE the vacuum cleaner Shower curtain in room looked as though No one EVER thought to take it down and wash or use bleach

It’s hookless which means you can take it down and throw it in the washer in less than 5 minutes The cloth desk chair in the room and ones in the breakfast needed to be taken out back and burned with that many nasty stains! Get wood chairs Just shameful! Glad I travel with lysol and odoban Hilton should really consider releasing this property I expected sooooo much more because it is a Hilton property One star because the sheets were white But I put my own sheet over them because you just don’t know

These people will steal anything you leave at their hotel! Management is not helpful at all they gave me the run around for three days Nothing in the room worked!! What am i paying all this money for! The worst part was that i took my own trash out of my room i seperated the dirty towels, cleaned the shower because they don’t do that ( the previous room users body hair was everywhere) and i left a thankyou note for housekeeping and they still stole my things Sad

Disgraceful Never coming back by choice

What great management and staff We arrived during convention and needed early check-in but of course nothing available We traveled to attend a funeral and needed to change but of course our reserved room wasn’t available

Thank you to the desk person who kept searching until she found something available During these times it was much appreciated to see all of the no-touch food prep and clean, clean bathrooms and rooms It was just very comforting to see everything was so clean and sanitized And when complimenting management, it was good to know that she realized that without her great staff, it could have all gone differently Would definitely recommend and if traveling that way again, we will make that a stop

Justin Ellis

Rude employee Faith at the front desk was rude from the start, and got a attitude right away When I started asking questions about why my card was charged more than my receipt

Her attitude got even worse and she started yelling “saying that’s how hotels work and to contact my bank”The gentleman that had checked me in was nice and friendly and even accommodated my late arrival, he also gave me recommendations of restaurant to visit The room was nice and very clean The lobby area was kept nice and everything looked very new

Tammy Burton

Staff was very accommodating when I checked in I had no problem I extended my stay for a week The only problem I had was with Faith

She was very rude to me when I asked, her to help me with a 3rd party booking issue that I didn’t understand how to fix on my own I reported the issue to customer service because, she was rude; disrespectful; &argued with me in front of other customers Yes, I was the bigger person & walked away Mind u was very upset because, that also added to bad long hard day &I came into the Hotel to get that kind of unnecessary treatment; that’s unacceptable for me I want this matter resolved that just makes Tru Hilton look bad (This is an update on 7-12-22) I have called numerous of times to see if, anything was gonna be done about my complaint about that one staff I have not got one single call back to say, they would accommodate well or a few nights of free stay about me being unsatisfied with the staffs behavior towards me I got absolutely nothing So, just keep in mind when you’re night being treated right put in your complaints Eventually, some body will do something about it

This is a very nice hotel with excellent service and it is very convenient to I-10 The staff was exemplary from check-in to check-out There was a large gathering at the facility the night we stayed, yet we couldn’t tell due to the way the facility is laid out and how well the staff took care of business

I recommend the Baton Rouge Marriott if you are looking for a hotel in the city

Patrick Hill

Went for a business event and the staff was super accommodating and very kind Rooms are clean and no carpet which is great My only complaint is not with the hotel in particular but towards whoever in corporate Marriott land in charge of designing the rooms and thought the lighting was a good idea as well as the way the showers work AND to who above them approved it and signed off on it

The switches are dime sized, hard to locate, and the room gives the vibe of a swanky dimly lit cocktail bar even when you have every light on Not sure when we decided overhead lighting was a no go but I’m so ready for this particular corporate trend to die I’m embarrassed to leave this review but I hope it works it’s way up so they realize good lighting isn’t a bad thing! The lighting isn’t miserable but it’s close to it Again, nothing against the hotel in particular only against those making the big buck decisions Other than that 100/10, 5 stars, applause all around I’m leaving four stars in hopes that anything under 5 gets sent up

Candace Quast

Everyone was friendly Nice rooms Asked for extra blankets – they brought a set of sheets

The floor looked like it could’ve been cleaned better There was a weird alarm that kept going off – heard others telling front desk but nothing was done about it The service in the restaurant was a bit lacking Our bathroom sink wasn’t really draining- the plug wouldn’t stay up and no one every came to fix that so water sat in sink as you washed hands/brushed teeth All little things in the scheme of things

We stayed 1 night at this hotel, on our travels to Texas We were a little early at check in but Cynthia at the front desk got are room ready for us right away Cynthia at the front desk is so helpful and super sweet! Her smile and friendliness is so welcoming when you first walk into the hotel!! The kids were hungry from our travel so she gave them a snack to hold them over until we get some food

All the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable Rooms are spacious and clean Breakfast was great they had something for everyone The staff being so friendly and helpful makes this stay a 10 out of 10! If your traveling through this area you cant go wrong with staying here!

Great food and excellent service! We stayed for one night while en route to Florida for our kids’ band camp Embassy Suites Baton Rouge’s customer service definitely deserves 5 stars! 1) My daughter needed a quiet room to practice her saxophone Without hesitation, we were allowed to use a vacant conference room

2) My son needed a haircut, so a Hilton staff member recommended a local barber My husband called the barber and he explained that he usually doesn’t accept walk-ins, but was able to fit my son in his schedule within 30 minutes of the call! 3) There was a landscaping company replacing the plants inside of the hotel I jokingly asked one of them what they did with the old plants He smiled and handed me a beautiful plant that I hope to enjoy for a long time 4) Lastly, breakfast was excellent They make THE BEST omelettes and have the freshest fruit Until next time…

Camesha Hogan

This hotel is perfectly situated within immediate access to a variety of entertainment, restaurants, as well as the interstate Rooms are spacious, clean, and moderately updated Breakfast was unbelievably satisfying, as were the drinks during their free cocktail hours at their full service restaurant

However, the true stars of this place is the staff, ESPECIALLY Cameron Calhoun on the evening shift at the front desk Cameron was exquisitely pleasant, and the term “over-the-top” doesn’t even convey his professional , yet lighthearted demeanor! He is a fine representation of southern hospitality at its finest! Though we didn’t receive our welcome bag on our first night (checked in by someone different), he made sure we received one Cameron Calhoun is the epitome of an individual with impeccable character, and represents this fine hotel chain in such an outstanding way! Excellent job Embassy!

The staff was very helpful, nice and accommodating The room was nice and clean with the exception of a stain on the comforter that we did not use The people around us were very quiet and respectful and even though we had pets (as did other people), I never heard any dogs barking

The location was easy to access being pretty much right off the highway We were able to pull our 20 foot uhaul and a load on top car trailer into the parking lot The staff next door (you can walk right over from the hotel) at the Waffle House were fantastic as well The breakfast in the morning had a good selection for us and everything was fresh I 100% would stay here again if we were passing through

Les A

Nice room The first room next to the lobby, so a little noisy The tub faucet was wonky and kept spinning around instead of cold to hot, but we got it to work

Everything was new and clean The hotel is clean and well kept Breakfast was standard fare But not bad Service was very good

We had a few issues with our double queen room We found a lot of hair in the sheets (on both beds) as we were inspecting the room, on arrival However, Mrs

Mary at the front desk , was very understanding and had us moved to a different room Sadly, the new room had sheets with SEVERAL stains on it Mrs Danielle immediately had the lead housekeeper change our sheets Unfortunately, by then we just did not feel very comfortable We were trying to have a nice evening out since our son was away, but we decided we would just feel better at home or another hotel Mrs Danielle was very understanding, apologetic and swift to act as she too has children, and related to us wanting to unwind Though the room(s) we’re disappointing the customer service was greatSide note: My wife went to the bistro where she met Ms Yvette She bragged to me about how nice she was and she appreciated it

The staff was friendly and helpful The common areas were well set up The room we stayed in had some blood stains, but the staff were quick to respond and accommodating

The room was spacious and the beds were not terribly uncomfortableThe biggest issue was the shower The drain didn’t make sense and backed up the whole time There’s not much worse than standing in a puddle of your own filthOverall, not the cleanest feeling, but the staff was nice The aesthetic was well updated but did not cover up the overall dirty feelingOverall, would still probably stay again, just if the value or cost made sense

Finally made it to The Stockade and LOVED everything about our stay Ms Janice’s home is so welcoming and almost feels like you’re visiting with a family member

Since it was my birthday we opted for the romance package—totally worth it! Flowers were beautiful, charcuterie perfect for afternoon snacking, and breakfast in bed was so flavorful!!! Making excuses to visit Baton Rouge so that we can stay again

From being greeted with a welcome sign on our door to a wonderful breakfast we were so relaxed and enjoyed our two night stay! Janice was super sweet even checking with a friend for recommendations to a restaurant Asked housekeeper where ice was and before I knew it knock was at my door and she was handing me ice! Can’t wait to go back

would recommended the Stockade B&B to any couple wanting a relaxing place with great hosts! The Broussards

Recently, I stayed at The Stockade Bed and Breakfast for 4 nights during the week while I attended a seminar in Baton Rouge I cannot write a review that would justify how much I enjoyed my stay, but I will try I had the pleasure of staying in the Garden Room, which was beautifully decorated and so comfortable that I felt like I was coming home each night

The shower – how awesome is that shower! I have stayed at The Stockade before in other rooms, all of which were just as comfortable I enjoyed the balcony in the evenings which overlooks the treed and private back yard My room not only was comfortable, but quiet as well I felt like I was the only one there, but I’m quite sure that the B&B was full some of those nights Sammy’s Grill across the street was so convenient when I was too tired to go out to dinner somewhere else in Baton Rouge The innkeeper was pleasant and helpful, providing me instructions on how to get downtown each morning in the least amount of traffic I did not get to enjoy the breakfasts because my seminar started too early, but I could smell it cooking when I left each morning and I know from past visits that it is always delicious and a delight of the guests I cannot recommend The Stockade enough It’s so much more comfortable than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at There’s no doubt that I will stay there again next time I visit Baton Rouge

We a family of 4 stayed here in July 2022 for four nights and we enjoyed it The beds are comfy The hot breakfast taste good! Con was they would run out of some foods and one day the breakfast staff called in sick so the front desk lady had to do double duty and run the breakfast

She did great under the condition Our room, breakfast area, and everywhere else was clean The black out shade in our room would come off the track ( needs to be replaced ) and the light fixture in our room near the door did not work We would stay here again

Upon arrival at the front desk, I met a beautiful soul by the name of Holly She was just as sweet as can be My first words to her were, “you look exhausted!” She smiled & stated that she was

She seemed to be working short handed & with a major dance convention & baseball tournament going on in the area, she held this place down & rocked her customer service skills Major kudos to her & a huge thanks for being you When I entered the room, it was exceptionally clean & smelled fresh I always clean with my Clorox wipes then spray Lysol & the wipes were clean afterwards except for the toilet handle There was a little food stain on the comforter which meant that it hadn’t been changed but it was nothing major to complain about as I travel with my own linen The only issue that I had was the drain in the bathtub was stuck & the water wasn’t draining properly My stay was good & I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area

If I could give negative stars I would!!! Room did not have an iron when front desk provided one it did not work My husband killed 4 bugs in this room I’m so over this hotel

When I told the staff I had bugs in my room she only offered bug spray like it was normal that the hotel had bugs Wish I could post a picture of the red bug Not sure what type of bugs but we threw everything away and bought new clothes and bags Didn’t want to take a chance on taking anything home

Come on, Hilton, you’re better than this Housekeeping and maintenance are slacking off1

Door latch was very loose (See photo) Had to call to get them to fix the door latch You would think housekeeping would’ve reported itIt was missing one of the three screws that holds it on the door They tightened the other two screws but did not replace the missing screw, probably because they didn’t have oneI requested a different room but there wasn’t one available2 I found leftover food in my room — a half eaten food bar on the desk that slides under the other desk Disgusting4 No bar soap at the bathroom sink5 No paper towels6 Tub, sink and base of toilet need to be re-grouted7 Room was not ready when I arrived at 4:00 PM Check-in is 3:00 PM8 The seat cushions on the chairs in the breakfast area are disgustingly stainedAll this and yet they were sold outI will not be back
