My wife and I stayed two nights on 6/27-29/2022 and it was Fabulous! We were greeted at check in by Rick (one of the two owners) and he asked us a few questions to make our breakfast and stay personalized and perfect for us The breakfasts were some of the best food we have had in a very long time Laura Sue (the other owner) made sure our breakfast experience was perfect both mornings

The mansion is easy to get to, in a great location that is easily accessible to all of Milwaukee and it sites, and a perfect blast to the past in an historically preserved setting It has good off-street parking for guests We brought a dinner back to eat in the beautiful garden by the fountain Overall this was a very beautiful

I treated my wife, Ginger with High Tea at the historic Schuster Mansion as a combination Birthday and Anniversary gift Our host, Laura was so wonderful in guiding us through the process of selecting our Tea flavor before seating us in the “sun room” portion of the House Very eloquent with fabulous tasting treats! We also had a nice chat with the proprietors near the end of our eating

The “High Tea” was much nicer than the “Low Tea” we did years earlier Very highly recommended!! 👍❤👍

Outstanding service in a fine Victorian bed and breakfast Laura Sue and Rick go out of their way to ensure each guest is treated like the most important visitor in the inn No question was too ignorant

No request was too bold We stayed for one night on a Saturday and checked in right away We were asked about our personal breakfast menu and timing, and then we were shown to our room There is so much history and so many details to view on the way and within the room The food the next morning was perfectly prepared and presented at the appointed time Each couple had their own table or area, so we were together but not too close We were able to chat and find out even more about the red mansion We had a wonderful time!

I was there for a business trip for a week As far as style it’s a very trendy and contemporary place The location isn’t bad either

I have two major complaints First, I reserved a handicap room with a seat in the shower After my morning shower, the floor was flooded everyday Enough not to be able to mop up with a towel Occasionally it would seep under the bathroom wall and into the main room by the door I went down to the front desk and spoke to whom I presume to be the manager He told me that there isn’t adequate pitch so it won’t drain properly I’m not hard to please since none of my property got wet but it does mean there will be long-term damage to their property as it leaks into their walls and carpet, which it did This will inevitably lead to a nasty mold problem and water damage is really expensive Actually, by the time I left, I think it smelled bad since the carpet by the door was routinely wet Since they don’t seem intent on fixing it, I think the public has the right to know before they reserve a room Management was very polite about it and even bought me breakfast one morning but that doesn’t change the fact that there’s a structural problem they haven’t addressed Second, this is the first hotel I’ve ever been to where there wasn’t a restaurant or continental breakfast It’s designed like a Starbucks “Grab and Go” but it’s not my cup of tea Would I stay again? It wasn’t a nightmare but if I had a choice, absolutely not Next time I’m just going to tell my employer to pick some place else

Sidney Condos

Well I’m not even 4 hours into it and they failed to mention that they are valet only, which is an additional charge of $20 daily or $30 over night (gotta love hidden fees!) Also I came with a three year old and based my hotel choice off of the travel wisconsins website seeing as this was “top 6 family friendly hotels in Milwaukee” but doesn’t care to explain that you have to reserve time frames to actually use their pool which of course lead my 3 year old to threw a massive tantrum in the lobby because it took me going all the way downstairs about to go to the pool for them to tell me I’m just hoping she stays awake to make it to this pool time seeing as that’s the whole reason I picked this place for the night & will not have the time too during the rest of my time here

Welcome to Milwaukee I guess? Really really frustrated by the lack of communication Overall clean hotel, amazing super kind staff, great location, only downfall is the lack of communication when it came to their parking & pool policy Whiles the hour reserved pool time was really really nice, I’d want to know that you’d have to reserve a time ahead of time

I decided to take Memorial Day weekend for my family and me to explore Milwaukee While the arrival was very easy with digital check-in and the available staff, this was the easiest part of the tripDay 1 – we had no garbage can in the room

There was a dark red stain near the bed I assumed it was part of the design (it wasn’t) Later that evening as we pulled the sheets back, we realized that the red stain was seeping through from the mattress to the sheets and it looked like someone either spilled or ejected something onto the mattress and floor I mentioned it to the front desk and though they offered a different room if available-i decided to settle for the sheet change and clean up (I SHOULD HAVE MOVED)Day 2-After a great day exploring District 3 and the riverwalk-we settled in for the evening and ordered food from one of the nearby restaurants As we were in the room I noticed something n the sink basin ANTS There were several and as soon as I saw that I pulled our sheets back to discover a few on the mattress I called the front desk and was told that there was no one to address the situation but they would note it on the log????!!! Luckily I was able to dispose of the few visible ones but sleep was out of the questionCheckout-No note from the previous night When I informed the guest service person about the situation she stated “it makes sense, you are on a lower floor, so ants” WHAT??No manager contacted me There was no reaction The location is great My recommendationSTAY ELSEWHERE

Booked 3 night at the Knickerbocker Overall, a pleasant place to stay Our experience with the staff was OK

The bed in our suite was not good (very important to me) and overall the suite was clean We had construction jackhammering outside our room the 2 days we stayed there A few areas in our room needed cosmetic work (peeling paint, etc) We ended up being very sick the first and second night and needed to leave the third night There was no accommodating this and they stuck to their no refund or discount policy Overall, if they’re going to be a beautiful hotel getaway with a restaurant and a spa they did not meet my expectations for hospitality, friendliness and environment

The hotel itself is dated and slightly worn, however, the room was very clean We came in contact with many staff members, and they were all so friendly I, specifically, want to recognize Sharon who was working the front desk area

Sharon was efficient, professional and congenial Marriott is extremely fortunate to have Sharon as an employee What a fabulous first impression!

Allen Osowski

We have been staying here through my daughters college years at UWM and this was our final stay due to graduation If my daughter did not graduate we would definitely look elsewhere for a hotel room We were early and arrived at noon, we were told by the shorter heavy set woman check in is at 3

She told us she would check how long before our room would be ready 10 minutes later she comes back, ignores the fact we are sitting there waiting and goes to back only to come out with a plate of food and sits in lobby eating while watching tv Then 3 other employees come to lobby to converse and buy snacks (yes, everyone needs a break i agree) but these were all cleaning people The cleaning manager asked them if they had work to do? Slowly dispersing I think they went back to work Also 1 lady worker stood at front counter the hole time we were there We checked in at 3 Cleaning manager said he cleaned room himself which took 1 hour 15 minutes after he said give him 20-25 minutes Oh did I mention, the desk clerk went back for food 2 more times for herself That evening there was a tall slender woman behind the desk What a joy compared to the cranky one in the morning I think she needs to look elsewhere for employment since she definitely shouldn’t be the face of Marriott

Elizabeth Reap

Most of the staff are extremely rude The rooms are not cleaned There’s dirty dishes in the kitchen and mold in the shower

I’ve had multiple things stolen from and no help from the staff besides a vague email weeks ago from the manager They won’t clean your room until you ask multiple times Even then, all they’ll do is take the trash out and give you new towels

The building is beautiful and holds lots of history and character The rooms were great! When we arrived the front desk person didn’t greet me or give me her full attention The phone kept ringing and she didn’t ignore it for me

Being the paying customer, I would have expected more of a warm welcome Being from out of town, I was not informed ahead of time the need to pay for valet parking each night of $32 We were lucky enough to find meter parking in the street instead but very frustrating, especially when you aren’t expecting it The rooms were beautiful, comfy bed, and a lot to offer in the room since it comes with a full kitchen The hotel itself doesn’t include a pool or Jacuzzi but does have a workout room Given we were there for an anniversary trip, we would have preferred the pool/jacuzzi The location was ok but not very close for walking to places Overall, a cool place to stay but not totally worth it

Blue Buterfly

The building itself is worth visiting! They’ve done an amazing job remodeling the old PBR brewery I loved the exposed brick and looking up into the copper kettles Room was clean and comfortable

Would have liked a fan in the bathroom but it was also clean Front desk was friendly and knowledgeable about the building and area Discovered after leaving my (extremely sentimental) necklace fell off while sleeping and they found it and mailed it to me THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT!!! You’ll never know how much it means to me to have it back Positive experience, would stay again

Raven Parkos

Beautiful building, lovely wonderful staffI loved exploring the building, it’s beautiful and the architecture is breathtaking A great place if you’re into photography or history Breakfast was super limited, but there’s other options close by

Valet parking was $32 a night but honestly not a deal breaker for the level of convenience they offer All around a great stay!!!

Very clean and well running Terrific sleep! The bed, the sheets and pillows were amazing! Great shower pressure and temperature All the staff were helpful and kind

I really liked the coffee stand with artisan water on every floor as it was well stocked and clean 24/7 The art in the hotel is gorgeous and the bar area is arranged perfectly with lots of windows

Regan Sur

Such an interesting hotel to stay in! Art work caught your eye with color and texture The location was great so one could walk to downtown, the lakefront, and to the vast array of restaurants in the area Staff was so wonderful

They were always friendly and helpful The room was very clean with neat decor that went along with the theme of the hotel Every room had a ukulele and colored pencils! Even the fitness room was very clean with updated machines and cardio equipment with the added bonus of sweat towels (which came in very handy!) Happy with my stay there and view from my room was very nice too!

Sarah Streicher

Stayed one night, overall it was okay The hotel itself is beautiful, in a great location and the staff was friendly I’m not sure if I would stay again though for the price

Our room was decorated nice, but there was dust everywhere It seems like no one stayed in our room for awhile and it was neglected while cleaning As you can see in my pictures, there was a thick coat of dust all over Pretty disappointed as I didn’t feel like the room was cleaned properly There also wasn’t a microwave in the room which would have been nice It was fine for a night, but not sure I’d return

Such a beautiful hotel with so many unexpected touches It is very clear that someone put a lot of thought and love into the space Loved the local bath products and even a lavender bath bomb! Had a little snafu at check in but partially my fault for being directionally challenged

Meghan responded promptly and went above and beyond to make it right The location is in a great spot near Lake Michigan so if you enjoy scenic walks this is your place I didn’t realize that there is a coffee shop right downstairs until I was on my way out today so no Starbucks tomorrow!Very clean room Very clean shared spaces I will be returning for my future trips to Milwaukee! This would be an amazing place to rent out for a wedding or any type of event It is a perfect mix of modern and classic

We hosted our wedding here, and we loved working with Marco from the Sheraton North Shore! Jon got us started on our wedding planning, and Marco jumped onboard soon after to take over He was always responsive to emails and calls, helped us figure out details we didn’t even know to think about, and made our weekend absolutely beautiful Even the day of, Marco was with us, communicating with our vendors and officiant to make everything so smooth

The hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there, but that did not distract from our day at all Our guests loved having the ease of staying at the same place all the festivities were happening All the staff at the hotel were accommodating and kind, we really couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Latasha Davis

The location was great The room was nice and clean There was a lot of remodeling during our stay, so noise was prevalent

There wasn’t a pool, picnic area, or any place for families to gather to eat outside food You could only eat in the dining area if you purchased their food Other than that All was well! I would stay at this hotel again!

Sanaa Jaman

One of the worse “hotels” I’ve ever stayed in It’s more so like a motel than anything I came into town for a few hours to visit a friend who had a recent death in the family, got a room close to their home for $299 on my American Express card

The place, the room, the whole thing is not even worth $100 I don’t even know where to begin The chair in the room was torn apart The bathroom door doesn’t slide and it’s old The AC unit in the room is old The tub wouldn’t drain properly They shouldn’t list this hotel

This is the second time I’ve stayed here The check-in was seamless and the rooms were beautiful I had a single room and a two bedroom two bathroom suite

The suite was great plenty of storage and closet space and privacy between the two bedrooms The single room was very nice as well I love the showers with the sideways heads give you a very invigorating shower! The breakfast was delicious and was brought to our room since the restaurant is closed The outdoor courtyard is beautiful I will definitely be staying here again

Dauria Wheeler

The hosts were SO nice to help us arrange the rooms as we needed two together The rooms were pleasant and attractive (if darkly painted), beds were VERY comfortable, and bathrooms were absolutely luxurious! Delicious breakfast had plenty of variety and something for everyone in our group to enjoy Highlight of each day was relaxing in the courtyard by the fountain! Warnimont Park and Lake Michigan just across the street was an added bonus

This hotel is a modest 6 story with no good views The rooms are nice inside and appear to have been refreshed recently I like the layout with 2 queen beds and a good sized desk

The shower and toilet are have a door with the sink outside so 2 can get ready at one time This is a mid level hotel so not as luxurious as many Marriott hotels are The front desk person was efficient and got me checked in within moments He seemed experienced and knows the layout of the hotel enough to answer questions about the rooms No suites were available this week

Morgan Stewart

The hotel itself was really nice and clean The staff was great and very professional We arrived early, but they were able to get us checked into a room quickly

The original room they put us in had an issue, but they promptly switched us to another room with no hassle at all I would love to have left a five star review, but unfortunately our night time/sleep experience was pretty terrible We woke up around midnight to really loud music, shouting, doors constantly opening and closing (not quietly), etc It was like we got a room within a block of rooms reserved for a party Ended up calling the front desk as it was definitely the room right next door and wasn’t seeming to wind down, they said they’d take care of it Laid awake hearing this and not able to sleep until at least 1:30-2 and the staff never seemed to address it That made for a far less than desirable experience and has me up in the air if I’d return

Marie Nilson

This was a typical experience at a Marriott Courtyard so if you’ve stayed there before this location is on par for what to expect However, I have to say the staff here are wonderful! Kind and extremely accommodating from small requests like a vase for flowers to a big request like when our room reeked of mold Location was perfect for us being ~10 minutes walking distance from the conference center

Great market hall next door with lots of food options

Friendly staff delivering great service from everyone The hotel is beautiful and so clean Nice bed which delivered one of the best nights sleep

I especially loved the bathroom and shower Just beautiful We were given two tickets for two drinks each for happy hours Didn’t realized we would be served a full course dinner doing this time Food was excellent! Breakfast was a full course with pancakes and potatoes All of this is included in your stay We stayed for two nights and enjoyed been in the thick of all of the happenings Great hotel and great location Go Milwaukee, I’m truly in love with your city!

Laura Hoff

I stayed here while looking for apartments in Milwaukee and had an excellent experience Every staff member I encountered was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about their guests having a good time The free breakfasts and manager’s special every day helped make my trip stress-free

The general manager and his assistant manager both deserve raises for the excellent service The general manager, Chris, actively helped me find apartments and even went out of his way to offer me a discounted room to stay in while I wait for my apartment to get ready for move-in Plus, the downtown location made walking around the city easy and convenient

Amanda Zima

This was a great place to stay on our trip to Milwaukee! The hotel staff were beyond friendly, breakfast and kickback dinner were good and plentiful The 3 complimentary cocktails were an added bonus! Hotel and room were very clean and the bed was very comfortable The only suggestion I would have is the check in was confusing at first

The parking garage says there is access to the hotel by the skywalk but if you are first arriving, you need to actually go out and onto the first floor first Wish there was a sign or they listed that on the website Overall, this is a great hotel and I would definitely stay again

Although my stays are comped, I do feel the rooms could be cleaner, vacuuming everywhere and shampooing the carpets more often would be welcome Sometimes the room was spotless but the tables were not wiped off The biggest issues for me is that it would be nice if they could monitor guest smoking marijuana in the rooms and hallways

If there was a microwave in each room, that would be amazing Overall I enjoy my stay and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating

The hotel was very nice Our room was large, cleaned, and well kept The bed was soft with 4 nice pillows

The bathroom was cleaned and fully stocked The casino had many fun games, we enjoyed our time on multiple machines Very disappointed when the restaurant closed 2 hours earlier and the bars on the casino floor where under staffed

This is simply one of the best Hilton properties I have stayed at The staff here simply goes above and beyond Huge recognition needs to be known by corporate about how kind phenomenal human beings Heather, Jose, and the afternoon front desk worker who was working on Thursday 1/6

She was just equally about as genuine and a awesome human being Each guest room is impeccably clean and I can’t speak higher of the gym and hot tub facilities which are superior to most This is just an all around amazing experience in Milwaukee Thanks Heather, Jose, and staff!

The hotel itself is decent The aesthetics are cool however when you walk in it instantly reeks of high school boy locker room It’s as if someone was nervously trying to cover up body odor with the smell of cheap perfume

Pillows had coffee stains from previous stays And there were stains on the duvet Now as far as the front desk I can honestly say they’re just about useless I called down to the front desk to have paper and pen sent and received nothing And then when I extend my stay I am locked out of my room at six in the morning to only be told by Timothy the front desk boy that he can’t find my reservation and that he will not help me if I continue to be rude and that he is new I was however more than direct to what I needed to be done All in all this hotel fell extremely short for the price that was paid Oh and don’t even waste your time at the hotels restaurant You’re better off going to McDonald’s

Beautiful modern hotel with a comfortable bed and quiet room Decently priced for the area Overnight parking is charged $10 even though it’s in the same free lot as Cheesecake Factory

Cleaning service woke us up at 9AM, there wasn’t a do-not-disturb sign we could put on the door and wanted to sleep in There is a mini-fridge but no microwave There is soda, water and snacks for sale at the front desk but they are not refrigerated Overall, we would stay here again, just a few minor issues!

The Renaissance hotel is beautifully finished The lobby is nice Rooms are modern and tastefully furnished

The prove is high for this area, but less than many other big city hotels This is a Marriot member hotel so all the usual Marriott peeks are here I had a fine suite on the 5th floor Quiet, king bed room with living and dining space My room faces the east so I saw a lovely sunrise several days

We really loved the inside of this beautifully rebuilt, intricate wood throughout and artfully decorated home The stain glass windows were amazing A lot of sweat has gone into this place and it shows

The hosts Andy & Maria were very gracious and fun to talk with and gave us some great advice about things to do They were on the spot checking us in and out The backyard needed a little work but is Memorial Day weekend and they are making progress The breakfast was amazing and the fresh eggs were delicious The reason we were here was for a Eric Church concert Andy had not heard of him, but he played it for us at breakfast the next day His attention to detail was remarkable, nice touch Andy! Very well prepared breakfast we really enjoyed our 2 day stay Highly recommend this place, it’s close to everything

The service at Hotel Metro was 5 stars! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by valet to assist with our vehicle, then greeted by the front desk who recognized me as a Marriott member Thank you! We felt very welcomed in a beautiful lobby and was surprised by the size of our room! The room was very clean and the minor details for additional cleanliness did not go unnoticed (plastic on Kcups, sugar, glassware)! Even though it was a quick one night, it was a great stay Thank you Hotel Metro!

Had a few questions for staff and the response time for their chat was hours later Had called the morning of to see if we had to make reservations for the restaurant, stated we didn’t and failed to tell us it was closed for a event going on I’m there Wish they had said that in the morning

Room was really nice Just not somewhere I would go again on a budget A hotel with no pool, paid parking and no free breakfast just shouldn’t be that much money Plus I didn’t even think to look at the room amenities for a microwave in the room, I thought that was in all rooms for hotels It’s isn’t for here That was my fault for not reading what was offered Very clean hotel, large rooms So if you have money and don’t mind the extra amenities not being offered it’s a nice hotel

Valerie Strohl

We were super disappointed with our stay, especially after reading all the reviews Perhaps they are struggling to find help like the rest of the hotel industry, but it was more like staying at a mom and pop hotel on the side of the highway than a high end luxury hotel The restaurant service was poor

The hotel needed a good once over Scuff marks and fingerprints on walls, doors and the elevator Everyone spoke about the incredible service – maybe we got the wrong crew for our short stay But when you pay $700 a night because it’s graduation weekend – and the entire city of Milwaukee is gouging you – you expect a little more than what they had to offer
