Super large room Very quiet and comfortable Impressive wide open atrium with the pool in the middle, surrounded by the bar, restaurant, and dining area, so if you’re self-conscious in your swimsuit, you may suffer some anxiety swimming

We did the stay on the way to the airport thing with long-term parking at the hotel Security monitoring of the parking lot, shuttle was prompt, and drivers were helpful and courteous I am very satisfied with our stay I will visit again when staying in St Louis

Booked this hotel since I have stayed at a handful of Crown Plaza’s and they are always very nice, clean hotels For starters, getting to this hotel is a NIGHTMARE, especially at night It is RIGHT off the interchange with not a whole lot of signage

When we pulled up to the hotel, there were a few cars of guests in the unloading zone arguing, and they remained there for the about 20-30 minutes while we checked in The hotel inside is definitely dated, but not horrible When we got to our room, it wasn’t anything super impressive but I was here for a work trip, so wasn’t expecting anything super lux There were a couple of guests (assuming, never saw them go in a room) just wondering the halls while we were getting into our room and it just felt super uncomfortable since they watched us each time we got off the elevator and went to our room One even stood right outside the little area where the ice machine was blocking us in for no reason at one point The toilet ran ALL night, LOUDLY Beds were pretty rough and the AC was having a hard time keeping up with how hot it was But again, pretty standard of an airport hotelOverall, facilities are dated, but what really made it lose stars was the “environment” for lack of better words I didn’t feel safe and felt like anyone could walk off the street and just roam the halls

JaMar Jefferson

Our stay at the Crown Plaza was EXCELLENT!! We had a small leak issue in our room, but the ladies at the front desk were very efficient in assisting us And we were upgraded Our kids had the opportunity to swim, and enjoy themselves and the food was good

But, the best part was the bar in the lobby and the bartender Joy! She was AMAZING!!! She makes the best drinks, remembers EVERYONE’S name and made us feel right at home My wife and I loved her We will definitely stay again when we have the opportunity!

Hotel is adjacent to a rough neighborhood but you’ll have that when you stay downtown in a large city Hotel itself is gorgeous and all of the staff we met were incredibly kind and helpful I wish I’d have gotten the valets name from when we checked out – he was amazing

He was super kind to our pups and helped my hubby load the truck so we could easily continue on our adventure He also helped to check us out efficiently We will definitely stay here againOur room was well thought out, with a huge shower in the bathroom Beautiful furniture and a truly eclectic and welcoming vibe

I totally feel like I underpaid for this stay! What a nice hotel with amazing historic properties Loved the exposed ceilings and all of the Art Deco but modern touches The security was an added bonus, all the elevators needed the key card to go up to the floors

Beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was very clean The large walk in showers were just exquisite! I will say that any modern hotel I’ve stayed in lacks hooks or bars in the bathroom Only one hook and one bar in the bathroomJust so you know, there is no self parking included here There are pay lots very close or street parking but the hotel only has Valet that was $30 a day We parked on the street the first night on Sunday since it was free, but the city starts charging at 8am Monday It’s all by the Park mobile app which was easy to use

Shylah Kunick

Pros: The views are awesome! There is an obvious level of attention to detail in the artistry through the entire hotel Most of the employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful, especially Luke at the front desk! The morning of check out we hung by the pool and that was the BEST experience we had at the hotel! We got lounge chairs and enjoyed the incredible city skyline The pool water was mostly clean and refreshing in between sun bathing

Cons: check in was at 3 and we couldn’t get our room until 7pm! I’ve never experienced this before at any hotel, much less a high end place We tried to enjoy the rooftop pool and bar while we waited but it was disappointing The place was packed with day pass people There was nowhere to sit and the pool was… Incredibly dirty I think someone puked in the water or something because yikes There was only one bartender and she was out of every single drink I asked for, including the ones advertised on her chalk board… she was way overwhelmed That was a 3 person job she was doing aloneRedeemed: after waiting for two hours upstairs, we finally came down to the lobby bar They comped our drinks, two each, while down there waiting for another hour They comped our valet, $30 also They still couldn’t get our room by 7 so they gave us an “upgrade” which took our regular king room to one with a sitting space We didn’t need that but we were glad to finally have access to a room to freshen up and unwind in!I can only assume the hotel is seriously understaffed right now, causing the struggles we experienced This seems to be a common problem these days, though Hopefully they can get it figured out because I think we would have really enjoyed the hotel otherwise!

I come to town once a month, on average, and always stay here I’ve tried other hotels and nothing compares to the service you receive at Hilton Frontenac The restaurant is incredible, they clean the rooms thoroughly, and room service is so quick!! The property is older but in amazing condition and well kept

It has such great charm, but what makes it amazing is the people They are always kind, asking if they can help, and treat you like you are their oldest friend Part of me wants to give bad reviews just to ensure vacancy for my own stays! Well done, Hilton Frontenac! Thanks for always making my stay great!

Larry Hill

The grand entrance left me confused when I got to my pedestrian room The hotel is older but seems to be well kept in public areas The rooms are in need of serious updates and a deep clean

Dirty carpet, dust, and rusty/crusty shower fixtures The AC will not cool the room during the day It will be hot It’s hot in the halls Shower has great pressure and the glass goes all the way up for a steam The pool area is nice

Joe Rallo

If I could give zero stars I would First room they gave us had terrible mold growing in the closet Second room was better but it seemed this part of the hotel was ignored

Room service never picked up dirty dishes left in hallway for at least 2 days Stained carpets in the hallway, very old outdated rooms This hotel was at one time a very nice place but time is taking it’s toll on her and it’s obvious owners are not reinvesting Great location but definitely not worth the rates Due to the severity of the mold growth this was not a recent issue and you can tell it’s been going on for sometime We couldn’t have been the first to complain Total health issue Very disappointed

Staff are the best thing about this place, reception and valet really make this place So polite and never fail to acknowledge you, I really liked that Bed was too soft and flooring was cold even with heat on

Loved the shower Did like the safe in the room, fridge was a little small but we managed Nice fitness room Didn’t have breakfast it was charged at $16 per person I only wanted yogurt and fruit so bought local instead If any part of breakfast is complimentary then we were not made aware of it Other than that was a lovely stay, and sure we’ll be back again soon for work purposes so look forward to seeing co and rest of team in the future

This is a new modern style hotel with a good amount of amenities The lobby is nice Perfect for relaxing and the rooms are very comfortable! The location is fantastic

Very close to a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance and a great park about 100 yards away There are many hospitals and health care facilities in the area Stay here You won’t be disappointed!

Chris Revelle

Love the AC Hotels I like the look and the layouts I always feel like it is a pleasure, especially for the Marriott brand

This one is just not ready yet It is in a great area but the customer service is nonexistent Despite a do not disturb on the door, they came in to install shampoo dispensers that left a chemical smell in the room Left all my towels in the middle of the bathroom floor No apologies and just offered to move me to another room at 10p When the do not disturb was not on the door, they never made the room When I wanted to change cards at check out, they told me I “didn’t want to do that because it would mess with my funds and take 3-5 business days to sort out the refund” The best part is I watched the front desk rep walk off the job because she was so frustrated with the people that worked there

This was an amazing hotel with great customer service, clean rooms, a cozy little restaurant and beautiful art work They do have a little dress shop( it was not open but the clothing was very cute I was very impressed to learn that hotel is also fostering a puppy until its ready for his forever home

Extra bonus points for being a pet lover They do have a gym that was awesome The location is very convenient the fox theater is down the street a plus and there are various restaurants in the area The area was safe and clean The valet was very friendly and helpful It was a great stay and experience

Stacey Watson

Absolutely love this hotel The rooms are immaculate, spacious and colorful The view is great from the room and the roof top

This is my second time coming on a solo weekend getaway and it always gives me what I need I love you can choose the color of your room and the clawfoot bathtub is a must for pure relaxation The lobby is beautifully decorated with modern art and I like how the hotel incorporates touches of local artwork, has an art gallery and exhibits The rooftop bar is a great place and every bartender I’ve had made a great lemon drop Note the rooftop bar is only opened Wed-Sat

Maureen E.

Do not come here on the weekends if you need to get to sleep before midnight While it’s a cool thing to have a rooftop bar, the music— especially the bass— permeates to much lower floors They are nice and offer (useless) earplugs or to change the room, a hassle

But that should not be necessary They should be 100% upfront about loud music from the bar This hotel is way too expensive for this nonsense I don’t care about choosing a color room when what I really need to choose is whether to stay where loud music is a surprise part of the packageIf this was not the case I’d give this hotel a higher rating I’d come here to party, not for anything business related The artwork is beautiful; it’s a good boutique WEEKEND PARTY hotel This needs to be disclosed upfront for guests staying multiple days I wish I left sooner and this was a good experience, but I overstayed until party time

This hotel is far overdue for a remodel The rooms were incredibly worn and outdated The metal surfaces are rusting in the bathrooms, the shower pan is severely stained and wasn’t cleaned properly and there was hair stuck to the walls and ceilings of the bathroom

The shower door was crooked which made it difficult to open or close plus the handle on the shower inside was falling off The bathmat was stained and the soap dish was also stained and grossThe HVAC unit in the room is extremely loud while running so good luck getting any sleep through the night with that on The walls are very thin – could hear my neighbor coughing and blowing his nose through the wallsThe chair in the room had a mysterious white stain on the cushion, noticeably in a spot where it would land between your legs The curtains were falling off The kitchenette furniture piece was all chipped and very wornThe third floor must’ve been a previous smoking floor because it smelled awful It was also extremely cold on that floor and during my stay it never got above 60 degrees outside Not sure why that warrants the AC on blast for that floorI received a text message from someone named Jasmine on their team asking how my stay was on my second day and I mentioned my broken shower door and dirty room and would like a refresh and new towels and never received itAfter checkout I noticed a charge on my account for a meal there that I never had They reversed the charge but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place Better protocols should be in place for charging to roomsit is 2022 after allThis property is in desperate need of a remodel and is in no condition to be accepting guests It is outdated, unsanitary and not run well per my personal experience

Hello Chocolate

Our 50th High school reunion was at this facility All activities were held at this location from Friday evening to finish on Sunday morning Staff was courteous, helpful and friendly

Made you feel welcome! Questions were answered and if information not known they found the answer and gave it to you My roommate needed an accessible room with the roll in shower — it was amazing!! Large with a built in bench to sit on (transfer) and plenty of space Her scooter was able to move from space to space without any problem

I had a good stay here I felt like an inconvenience at breakfast, otherwise service was ok I didn’t realize that this the sketchy side of town, but security was great and there weren’t any safety issues

It was an easy 20 min drive into downtown St Louis, and only a few minutes from the airport The hotel even provides a shuttle if don’t want to rent a car Nice gym, but A/C wasn’t working Room was clean, functional

Stayed in this hotel for almost two weeks The staf is friendly and my room was clean and comfortable No cleaning was done during the weekend

The bed was good which is kind of most important for me The hotel is close to the highway so easy to connect with other places Didn’t use the pool but you could already smell it at the entrance The breakfast was not particular my favorite Pre-packed burgers/sandwiches which could be heated in some kind of pan was a bit weird for me Fresh fruit was good

LaJoya J.

I booked and paid a hotel room tonight at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott-Pontoon Beach When I was walking in I saw a sign that said can not book to someone within 50 miles I provided my ID and debit card for the hold fee

The front desk agent Paula states I can not check in due to my address on my id being Florissant,MO I attempted to explain I just moved and have not gotten my new id She explains it does not matter she has to go by the address on the id My girlfriend said if there was a way she could put it in her name She said yes I explained how would that work if I paid for the reservation Paula said I have to call who I booked the hotel with I first called Marriott customer service and they said there was nothing they could do because I didn’t book through them Since I used the Hopper App I chatted with someone who then got in touch with Marriott and switched the name to my girlfriend While we were waiting, a woman checking in asked about the sign Paula answered it was due to COVID Mind you NO ONE had a mask on not even Paula So if COVID is such an issue then why wouldn’t she be wearing a mask? My opinion is because this hotel and others in the area do not want people from St Louis booking rooms with them This issue is discriminatory to me I’ve booked hotels all the time and never ran into this issue What if I wasn’t with my girlfriend? I would have had to sleep in my car or drive 6 hrs home This situation should have NEVER happen

My experience started a little shaky but improved throughout my trip Upon entering my room, the bed was made However, the sheets looked slightly used

I immediately notified the front desk Due to limited staffing, they personally took care of the situation The rest of the room looked and smelled clean Thank goodness for first-class customer service Thank you, employee, whose name starts with “I ” They even provided a complimentary beverage for the adjoining restaurant The hotel is a gorgeous modern take on shabby chic The bed was so comfortable! I fell asleep within 10 minutes of putting my head down With all things considered, it was a good stay It’s ideal for a staycation, self-care weekend, or romantic getaway

This was my first time visiting this hotel I attended my cousins graduation party 🥳 It was set up outside, on a very hot day🔥! The staff was very pleasant and very good at accomodating our needs

They setup huge outdoor fans and umbrellas to keep the guests cool The ice tea and lemonade was delicious 😋 They made certain to refill the containers promptly The fruit tray they made was beautiful and delicious On the other hand, the meat on the finger sandwiches was great but the buns were too hard I do appreciate the good service! My cousin made a beautiful cake Not only did her son graduate, we celebrated his birthday as well👏 Kudos to all “2022” graduates!

Our reservation was completely disregarded We booked the most expensive suite and were put in a superior king room, not even a suite Our romantic weekend could have been better spent elsewhere

We purchased a breakfast but come to find out there was no breakfast And we cannot get a refund We keep on emailing and calling the hotel manager to return the email to our travel agency to tell them they don’t serve breakfast so we can get our refund It has been 2 months since we stayed It said “free” parking not true; we had to pay for our parking This used to be our favorite place and since Mariotte acquired this place just turned into a motel We won’t return or recommend

Returned after 1st staying 14 years ago and enjoyed it just the same if not more this time Missed eating at the table like traditional bed and breakfast (darn you COVID!) and missed the chocolate bar set-up, however breakfast was filling and chocolate was served whenever you would ask Enjoyed sitting outside the property, taking in the scenery and relaxing (beautiful yard and garden area), or just hanging out in our room

Beds are super comfy! Stayed in the king room this time (queen room on prior stay) Soaking in the tub is very relaxing, and we used Sandy’s homemade bath salts that were provided Jim and Sandy really take pride in caring for the property and sharing the history of it Would definitely return again for another anniversary weekend!

Cheryl Even

We came for a tour and were quite impressed by our tour guide Jim, the owner of the mansion He was very friendly and gave us so much information about the history of the mansion Because it’s a living history museum, we were able to touch everything and feel like we were part of the history he was sharing

We would definitely return, and hopefully even stay overnight

My husband and I stayed at the mansion in November for our local, honeymoon weekend We loved our experience We felt like we stepped into an episode of “Downton Abbey

” We felt like a Lord and Lady walking through the mansion, exploring and delighting our senses with the grandeur, beauty, history and craftsmanship Thank you Jim and Sandy for being a welcoming host and hostess Mr and Mrs Anderson

Hotel was okay Not the worst but for the price the rooms could be more up to date and more well kept When you first walk in you are expecting more from the rooms because the overall experience when you first walk is great

Hotel lobby, bar area and pool is very well kept The gym and pool are absolutely amazing The restaurant for food was very expensive No free breakfast The staff was friendly Our room closet door was broken, the shower was very hard to work, the TV worked at first but the longer you had it on it would go dark and you couldn’t see it

I was pleasantly surprised at quality of our stay Room was clean and tidy with top notch furniture Staff was family friendly and lobby and bar area made our stay more enjoyable

A Valet parking overnight is a whopping $45 versus self-park, $35, both being ridiculously overpricedB

Majority of the “ritzy” feel is in the lobby area; the rooms are basic, albeit cleanC They didn’t invest in soundproofing their windows even though the hotel is right by a busy road and the highway, so you hear cars late into the night and beginning early in the morningD QR code for restaurant for room service doesn’t properly work I went from Google to access the menu, both of which lack healthier (and/or vegan subs for things like sausage and bacon)If you’re going to be a “top tier” hotel then service and options must be top in all things Parking should be complimentary or $20, tops, when you pay $400+ for a nightMy recommendation is, pick a 3 star over this location: you’ll save money and the service may even be betterAnd dear management, please stop replying with the basic, “I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay Please email us at ” just do better People have already mentioned the lack of compassion from staff, when a lot of your guests stay here because they or a relative are going to the hospital next door (keep your restaurants for room service open until midnight, gift shop until 10, etc) And change your nonsense parking fee That’s what you can do: improve, rather than write nonsensical replies to seem like you care

Irene Zubillaga

The rooms and some areas of the hotel are outdated and the service is terrible No one cleaned the rooms at all any day, we weren’t even warned that there would be no housekeeping We called to ask for at least fresh towels and they never came

Any time the AC was running a really loud humming fan sounds came out of the bathroom, even louder than the bathroom fan which was annoying at night The lobby had infused water one day but missing every other day The one person working the check-in desk had to run to the bell desk to check in and out bags from the bag hold The conference area charges $36+ dollars for wifi even if you’re a hotel guest The one restaurant that’s open during the day was shot at and has a broken window they won’t fix The gym is quite outdated and has no sanitation supplies I’m surprised they get to charge top dollar and offer worse services than an affordable hotel, especially since they didn’t even have the decency to at least let you know at check in

Pure disappointment On the website it says there is rooftop accessibility and room service These were literally the main reasons we booked, looking for a place stay as we are celebrating our engagement

Quickly we found out there’s no room service on weekdays, and no rooftop access How is there no rooftop access on an 80 degree day? They told us it was closed due to weather, I didn’t know nice weather was a reason to close to the roof There’s absolutely nothing special about the rooms, one of the elevators broke when we were in the lobby and management had to close it off after we tried using it and had to complain The Preston was the last savior for us as the coffee shop that is in the hotel was also closed The Preston was also a huge disappointment, we spent $50 on good only to recieve the most bland breakfast possible They also charged us for black coffee, when it’s free in the rooms I will never stay here again unless I feel I’m getting my times worth I’ve gotten better food, service, and respect from a 3 star hotel If you are expecting anything upscale or fancy, this is not the place I wish the hotel would do something to make up for the horrible experience, but it seems that they wish you would have a better time next stay, without actually doing anything to improve the experience I spent over $600 here and felt it was worth nothing near Save your money, this place is cheap If you want me to change my mind, do something instead of just wishing it was better next time

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This website will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area

I have been coming here for years If you choose this place you won’t regret itWe were in town for a musical at The Fabulous Fox and decided to stay in the loop because we wanted to shop We were not disappointed! The Moonrise Hotel was quirky, comfortable, friendly, clean, and easily navigated The restaurant, The Eclipse, had a great bar where we enjoyed a few drinks after the show, and Sunday morning we had brunch there It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had, and very reasonable Especially good were their pancakes, believe it or not They were made from scratch and had wonderful flavor If you stay at the Moonrise, be sure and eat in their restaurant The roof terrace bar was reserved for an engagement party, so that’s on our list for next time Parking was a bit of a concern because we had been told they were short-staffed and so didn’t have valet, but the parking lot was close by, easily accessible, and safe with a security guard We are usual patrons of the Chase Park Plaza, but we have decided the Moonrise is our new place to stay when we are in St Louis

A unique hotel!Check in was really easy Justin at the front desk was great Friendly and offered recommendations around the city when it came to sights and restaurants

Everyone else we came into contact with was nice as wellThe room was clean with a view of the main street Bed was comfortable, with lots of layers Artwork was just as cool as in the lobby Coffee maker was the typical “hotel coffee maker”, but we brought our own Room had a ton of outlets, which was perfect for all the electronic devices, but didn’t have USB portsParking in the rear of the building seemed a little sketchy, but we didn’t have any problemsOverall a very nice hotel!

Me and my significant other stayed here after seeing a Hanson concert next door Very nice hotel! Our room was bigger then my apartment, the bed was comfy, the shower was amazing, and the staff was super friendly The restaurant was closed the day we were leaving but the complimentary danishes were good and the coffee is the best coffee I’ve ever had at a hotel! I defiantly recommend this if you need a place to stay in St

Louis

Hotel is older and definitely has some maintenance concernsStaff were very friendly and availableOur room had a very strong musty smell when we arrived and at first I thought it was because it had just had the carpets cleaned and the floors were still damp

I later realized that the window was leaking underneath the air conditioner and pretty badly The area received a TON of rain that day so when I stepped in enough wetness near the window that water pooled around my now-sock-soaked feet, I was able to put the two together Although that was disappointing I was tired enough to just hit the hayThe toilet in our room had a very high pitched whistling sound because the water constantly was running We just shut the door to the bathroom and it was fineIt was a reasonably nice hot breakfast with the usual fair and maintained well The sausage was infused with maple which is not my presence but not all that bad eitherJustices and milks were pretty small single servings Something I’d expect to see at an elementary schoolOverall the place achieved what it was intended to do – be a place to rest and sleep and recharge for the next day

Looks to be an older hotel but decently maintained The staff was nice and managed to find me a room after my reservation somehow vanished I had a confirmation number and all that good jazz and even spoke with one of the employees a few hours before i got there but there was no sign of my reservation anywhere

So i guess i lucked out that they still had a room available

This hotel is located in my hometown, and I stayed there for 7 nights recently while visiting friends I was very satisfied with my stay, as the price was great and my room was large and clean, and the air conditioner worked wonderfully (Note: the room and AC vary, as my brother also stayed here, for 3 nights, and his room was smaller and the AC didn’t work too well

) A big plus for me is the fact that breakfast is served until 10 am 7 days a week, which is almost unheard of in hotels these days Some of the air conditioning units in the hallways didn’t seem to be blowing cool air, and the ice machine on the second floor was not working, but I did have a very nice stay here Oh, and the staff is very friendly, too!
