***EDITED*** The romance of the southwestern architecture, sitting room and beautiful desert landscapes brought us back for some local R&R I’ve stayed at the Arizona Inn over the last 15 years and little has changed

Maybe some modern interior design upgrades and implementation of local artist toiletries might spark the interest to return For now all I miss is the lovely dinner at the Audubon Restaurant experience we had

Super disappointed with how the Arizona Inn handled their guests who had events booked that were affected by Covid I had my wedding planned for the Spring and then rescheduled for Fall and the staff failed to contact me about cancelling the event BOTH times Instead, they called my wedding guests that had reserved stays to inform them that my wedding was cancelled and asked if they wanted to cancel their reservations as well

They also requested that the guests not tell ME about their reservations getting cancelled because the Inn wanted to contact me Shouldn’t you contact the person hosting the event BEFORE you call their guests? In any case, they NEVER CALLED ME I was under the impression was wedding was still going to be held during the Fall when I rescheduled it for Weeks leading up to the date, I called to confirm I was told that they were not holding any events until further notice No apologies from the staff or manager, Patrick, that I spoke with I lost many deposits on the vendors that I had booked because of their lack of communication and it was also a struggle to get our funds back that we had paid ahead of time for the entire wedding It seems they wanted to keep our money for a wedding they had no intention of holding? And they did not consider communication being essential during a time where they let go most of their staff? Needless to say, I have never been so angry with an organization before and their administration’s lack of empathy and action is appalling

Stay during February 5-10, 2022 The room, 215 was dirty and no service was provided for the room on the 5 nights Floor is stained and not cleaned under beds or side or behind end tables, trash on floor

We had to clean the tops of all furnitureTrash at stairwell to 2nd floor Trash on grounds to walk to the front deskBreakfast food was good, but only ONE server during breakfast He was outstanding trying to serve us each morning One is enough to provide everyoneThis hotel is NOT up to Marriott standards!!!

Ree

The rooms are being renovated and are in dire need of it BUT the rooms were dirty! The carpet had dark stains in several places and there was curly black hair on the bathroom counter and the shower had black hair shavings Stuff happens, I get it but I tried calling the front office and no one answered so I head to the front desk I’m asked for pictures and when I said I didn’t take any the front desk clerk goes to the room to check herself

Because, yeah, I’d totally lie about hair on the sink and shower The gentleman was polite and helpful but the other two women at the front desk had attitudes like I was inconveniencing them We were told housekeeping would come and clean again but never showed up We ended up cleaning the room ourselves We were given a free entree from the restaurant because that would clearly make up for our experience but I will never stay here again Sheraton should be ashamed

My husband and I are on our second trip driving across country and decided to stop here and stay at the Roadside Inn for a night – we chose the Tejas Room On this cross country trip we’ve stayed at 14 different places so far and we still say this was the best of our stops Kerrie was such a great host, she helped us find our way to our room, even when we arrived late in the night

The Inn was so charming and the decor I fell in love with Everything about this Inn was well thought out to give guests a wonderful experienceThere’s a desert garden that surrounds Roadside Inn that’s quite beautiful We went to eat at the Coyote Cafe with our complimentary breakfast voucher and then perused the shops behind it

Tina Powell

We just returned from a three night stay at The Cat Mountain Lodge Rooms were spacious and clean Courtyard was beautiful

Cable lights were not working in courtyard at night, a little dark I would suggest you bring your own shampoo and soap You are adjacent to park, lots of great hiking The nature museum and observatory are near by Cafe Coyote Pause was great! There is a Buffalo Exchange across the street, highly recommend you stop by!! Kathleen was an amazing host and service was great She was very helpful to us with local history and suggestions Wifi was good, fridge, microwave and all common areas were very neat and clean Would definitely stay again

Conrad Beattie

This place is an oasis of tranquility in our crazy world The rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated with a Southwest motif The courtyard provides shade throughout the day and the Arizona room offers coffee, tea, water, microwave, cookies, internet access and books and movies

The grounds offer plenty of seating areas, a labyrinth and a nature trail In addition to the host of birds who visit daily we saw a coyote, a bobcat and a western diamondback rattlesnake all on the property We made it our base for visiting Tucson and we’re very glad we did

I never post reviews, but this experience deserves one Absolutely not what I expected There is only one elevator for 400 something rooms

The wait on the elevator was very long EVERY time The room I stayed in was not clean Before using the toilet or shower, they needed to be cleaned One of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in Not impressed This hotel is very close to the airport, so if you’re flying in or out, that is a plus

Heidi Day

My stay there was such a great experience I just had double carpal tunnel surgery, and the staff was so respectful of my need for privacy, and yet extremely helpful when I needed doors opened and things like that The lady at the front desk was great! She helped me with printing and faxing paperwork and was super friendly and knowledgeable

I really enjoyed my stay 😊

Tierra Kardos

This was one of the worst hotels I stayed at, having to pay that high price for a room that smells and isn’t clean is the worst They had to change my first room and the next one wasn’t any better My goodness the pillows was so uncomfortable that we couldn’t sleep

Don’t even let me get started on the breakfast, which was horrible I will never stay at any of their hotel is I can help it, oh yeah and the floor was shaking because of the boiler room I really thought the building was good to fall apart, don’t stay here unless you have low standards with high prices

We stayed here for two nights in February and wished we had booked a week! The Adobe Rose is a very beautiful, immaculate adobe styled bed and breakfast inn with gorgeous outdoor spaces including an in ground pool There was parking on and near the premises

The rooms were all well appointed, clean and very comfortable Tom and Bob were wonderful hosts Communication regarding the reservation, check in/out, breakfast menus and the like was excellent And as other guests have pointed out, the breakfasts were amazing!! It started with wonderful coffee (and juice if you wanted) Followed by a fruit platter, main course and then dessert This delicious meal lasted us all day The neighborhood was very quiet, quite charming as well as very conveniently located to the convention center, the university, the botanical gardens, zoo, etc We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Tucson I am very grateful we were able to stay at this wonderful Inn!

A lovely get-away location for visiting Tucson The central courtyard is a beautiful oasis with plants and birds to make one feel totally relaxed Lots of tables to sit at outdoors

Indoors, there is a wonderful common area with a fireplace And the breakfast is divine The proprietor Tom made accommodations to my vegan boyfriend to ensure he had a beautiful breakfast to enjoy Wonderful food and great central location to visit many sites in Tucson!

Loved this hotel!! I was passing through on my journey moving from Texas to Arizona, and the day I was there was my long driving day- so I was super tired when I checked in The staff was AMAZING! Super friendly, efficient, made me feel very comfortable and welcomedThe room was SUPER cute! Bed: comfortable, TV

: huge!, There was a mural on the wall – “Sweet dreams” with accented glow in the dark stars and part of the moon – how cute is that?!The shower water pressure was awesome, and all the shampoo/conditioner and body wash was wonderful! When I checked out I was a bit concerned about the weather up north and asked the front desk what was the best way to stay up to date about road conditions/weather She was so helpful! And also welcomed me to Arizona :)Overall my dog and I had an amazing time – and can’t wait to get back to Tucson – this is for sure our home away from homeOh – and the overall vibe with all the art on the walls – just spectacular! Thanks to everyone – including the cleaning staff I didn’t get to see – for making my dog and I feel welcomed to Arizona!

Really enjoyed this hotel We planned to stay in Phoenix but actually came back to stay another night here as we liked it so much Service was excellent

The price was great Free oatmeal breakfast was delicious Coffee, tea and pop tarts also available The hotel has a bar and offered tokens for free drinks at each check in There’s a nice salt water pool, fire feature, outdoor seating and games, indoor seating and board games The rooms were nice, very comfortable beds, with big TVs and lots of parking There is also laundry The location is not very walkable however it’s very accessible from highways If I’m ever in Tucson I will definitely stay here again

David Suftko

This type of hotel is not one I typically stay in when I travel We were in town for a comedy show and needed a place to stay one night This place came up on a Google search and though we skipped past it at first, I kept coming back to it

I am VERY glad that we stayed at this placeHotel McCoy is a quaint place, with a nostalgic feel, good prices and friendly staff The room was very clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable The oatmeal breakfast was a nice touch in the morning as well I genuinely wish that we were staying longer as there were other amenities that we would have liked to take advantage of, such as the heated salt water pool or the ping pong tableThe only downside is the location, as this is not in the best of areas However, it is right off the freeway, so you can hop on and get anywhere in town quickly I was concerned about the road noise, but I heard nothing in the nightIf and/or when we go back to Tucson, we will stay here again

Such a gem of a place! While the website makes things look cozy and inviting, it didn’t prepare us for how truly beautiful the inn is, its lush courtyard, sweet accommodations, and delightful host, Patti! Breakfast to order and delicious, furnishings attractive without being too “precious” to use or put a cup of coffee down We spent hours happily sitting in the dappled shade just out our door watching the hummingbirds feast and resident cats nap Close to restaurants, museums, and some of Tucson’s most treasured barrios

Ges X

A wonderful BnB, in a beautiful historic home with a lovely courtyard Patti is a warm host with a wealth of information about the area and its history The breakfasts were delicious

We want to return here and stay longer next time Such a great location: right next to downtown but enclosed in thick adobe walls and a peaceful place in the midst of the city

I usually do not take the time to write reviews Today I am making an exception after spending three nights at this extablishment My wife and I have stayed in B & Bs all across the US

This ranks as one of the best The property is very special It is has been impeccably restored over 40+ years to its former self Located in Tucson’s historic district, it looks much as it did in the 1800s when it was built, but is totally modern in its conveniences Mrs Toci has spent a lifetime collecting just the right antiques for each room The court yard is charming and inviting Her breakfasts are the best we have experienced in our travels She is willing to accommodate any dietary requirement You will be sorry if you pass this place up on a trip to Tucson

I loved the pool you can be there as early as 6 am and a late as 10 pm I feel like their could be some small improvement that could help this be an even better place1

have the ability to order foodpool side( I wanted chickenwings and I had to walk all theway from the pool to the DesertGrill, which is on the other sideof the casino)2  Make the escape route clearlystated (There was a fire alarmthat went off during my stay  Iwondered around the hallwayslooking for the stairwell exit Iwas very calm doing so,because i didn’t smell smokeand it was just me at the time Ileft my room  I can’t imagine if,it was a lot of people and it wasan actual fire)I think these 2 things stood out to me the most  The maid service is the best!!! I stayed 4 nights and with the exception one of day my room was refreshed And that was at my requestThe front desk staff was the best Very helpful and professionalI had only one bad experience and that was at the Tree bar The young blonde male bartender was very rude He tossed a napkin at the area were I was sitting prior to placing my very horrible tasting drink on the counter I did not tip neither did I order any more drinks the whole time I rather go to the liquor and drink in my room rather than be mistreated

I have always been treated with kindness and respectAnd you can get a slice of pizza that is very good Or a whole pizza to goWhich is also very goodI haven’t tried the buffet since before covid It used to be a decent place to eatNothing great, but worth the money

Very good service and near the airport Safe surroundings and very clean room with everything you want in a business room The staff at the front desk was excellent and even welcomed me with a smile Easy to sleep in peace and take off for another days work

Bee Tee

Stayed here 3 nights in February, 2022 Rooms were clean and quiet I forgot my memoryfoam pillow when we checked out and I called that night to have them put it in lost and found as we were flying out of Tucson in a few days

Long story short, the Manager, Margaret, was very courteous with my concern Yesterday, my pillow was returned to me by mail as promised by Margaret (thank you!) Also, the pool at this facility is really nice I would recommend staying here

The Calkins

Recently I had to extend my stay at the Courtyard and the manager and staff bent over backwards to accommodate me I couldn’t be more impressed with the friendly staff and manager! The facilities are also good, clean, and with all the expected amenities at a business type location near the airport Thanks for all your help during my stay!

On paper, this place has exactly what we needed: two beds and a sleeper sofa at an affordable priceWhen we arrived, an afternoon in the middle of a desert heatwave, we checked in then found out there was no running water for the next three hours And if we needed a drink? There was a vending machine selling bottled water for two bucks a pop

This did not sit well with me It’s a desert heatwave Maybe offer free water while you fix your pipes!Since we were traveling, we needed to use a toilet – and we needed them to flush! The guy at the desk said we could go to Denny’s We hopped in the car and drove over A big sign on their door indicated toilets were for paying customers only Being dehydrated, we bought drinks so we could use the toiletThat night, in the room, we learned we could not control the AC It was so cold! (Ironic, I know)So at least I had breakfast to look forward to Wrong again A sign indicated Tucson area hotels were having supply chain issues with their hot breakfast items Out of curiosity, I called two other 3-star hotels, and they both reported no supply chain issues with breakfast I wonder if the management just wanted ways to short us for profitThey did remodel recently So the freezing room with no water or breakfast did have a new toilet and suchI should also note the girls working the front desk were all super professional and kind Not their fault the management does it this way

James Pellinghelli

This hotel is pretty conveniently locatedIt has a pretty good shower in the room and the room was pretty cleanThe bed was very firm

Breakfast was OKMicrowave cooked eggs!!A pretty good experience for the price overallI’ve always been happy to stay at a Country Inn and Suites

Diane Hilliard

The room was clean and mostly comfortable I don’t believe the sofa bed sheets were fresh However, after going to the front desk to request replacement sheets and being denied by the housekeeper there, we encountered a housekeeper near our room that was more than happy to supply us with whatever we needed

The telephone in the room is mostly unusable because the cord from the phone to the handset is broken, and doesn’t stay in the handset unless you hold it there I get we have cellphones now, but sometimes you just wanna call the front desk The breakfast was mediocre We got there about an hour before closing on a Sunday, and there was no milk left (pitcher only) The sausages were limp and undercooked The fruit was fresh, and there were lots of bread choices It was ok, just not for my taste Overall, the room was comfortable Just like having different choices for pillows, I guess it’s the same for beds One queen was comfy, the other hard as a rock Luckily there were others in our party not as old as me, so they were fine Most of the staff were encountered were friendly and helpful, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the room was comfortable (the chair and sofa were really comfy!) The neighborhood is a little rough (there was a shooting at the hotel next door), but we didn’t go out at night so we were fine Daytime is great Convenient, literally right off the freeway Oh, and nice hot water for the shower!

I only stayed one night but it was a great experience Check in was quick and friendly There is a pool, small bar and restaurant services in the main building, but I did not use them

It’s obvious these are old motel rooms that has been renovated, but they did a fantastic job Our room was extremely clean, stylish and comfortable My bed was very comfy, loved the comforter too The parking lot gate closes at 9pm, which is nice for added security We chose a room in the back of the complex, so we had a view of the “A” mountain Check out was nice too I received an email with a link to check out Easy and quick! It was a very clean, modern, stylish facility I would recommend staying here and will consider it when I’m staying in Tucson again!

On our way to Dallas, TX, my friend and i made a pit stop at Tucson, AZ and stayed at this very lively, hip, and urban accommodationNow at first glance, it does look like a motel, in fact, it reminded me a lot of the Bates Motel – now we know how that ended But it is not even close to that

After driving up, the bright Vegas-like lights tell a different story, one where laughter and splashed by the pool are heard Even late into the night, the atmosphere of fun lies not too far The desert heat and the bar at the reception lobby make a perfect spaceOn the night we checked it, there was even a paint and sip activity going on If I were to ever open my own boutique hotel, this is what I would base it off of The staff were nice and the accommodations exceeded expectations My only regret is staying for one night

We enjoyed our stay at the Tuxon The room was a lot smaller than we were expecting, but it was really cute and modern, and worked out fine for our one night stay Everything was really clean, however there was a bit of a funky smell to the room

Nothing too terrible We didn’t get the chance to use the pool, but it looked really nice They did a great job in updating and modernizing this older hotel The staff was really nice as well

This is one of the best hotels that I’ve been at ever! The room was very clean, the linens were freshly washed and the pillows were so fluffy I wish I could’ve taken them with me Staff was polite and no bed bugs either I was offered complimentary continental breakfast, unfortunately couldn’t go due to time constraints but still a nice thing they offer

Our bathroom was extremely clean and the AC worked perfectly for the hot Arizona weather Overall a great stay! Would definitely stay again if I visit AZ another time ☺️

First, I want apologize for my clumsiness spilling my coffee on our first morning, my family and I, all have been under a lot of stress with our AC broking down in our apartment But y’all were the most kindest staff, God Bless you all Very comfy stay I’m glad we stayed

Awesome hot breakfast, great variety, and filling Very clean room and bathroom Great lighting in room, not too dark or bright just right We felt very secure and safe that’s a big plus, because we’re three girls (mom and two daughters) and a dad; and he has to work in the early morning Our son was across from us I was happy for that Only one or four things to improve on are more towels, toilet paper, toilet is bit low and loose, also tub is bit slippery But overall Country Inn still gets an “A+”! We’re happy we pick Country Inn Thanks Guys and Gals you’re all the BEST!!!

Bed cozy, Room clean Night clerk RUDE ! I remember at 4 am I left my phone in the car

Grab my room key and head out the door When I try to get back in the door is locked no vacancy sign hung on door I was happy to see someone at the counter so I rap on the door I get the night manager yelling no vacancy’s I flash my key card He yells phone Pick up the phone so I do and I get him barking no vacancy’s I give my room no And name He opens the door and proceeded to bark more about why my card doesn’t work I asked his name and was totally ignored I see him later and ask his name Ignored again I repeat my self and he gave a name and said good now I know who you are Really? I gave you my room no and name on the phone I told him it’s time for a new job if he is acting this way about opening a door He tells me he’s been doing this for 30+ years I just can’t with this guys attitude! I paid top dollar $19900 to have to deal with the night clerksday clerks were awesome 👍 attitude? Not again Screen your employees better

rooms were spacious, Bed and pillows comfortable, climate control worked perfectly (it’s Arizona!)The bathroom had a great shower with lots of water pressure and everything very clean All the amenities I need in a hotel room including fridge and microwavedidn’t need them this trip but glad to know they’re there when i come back for a longer stayBest thing to me is its one street over from the “airport row” of hotels which made it quieter and not congested Five minute drive to the airport curb

ROOM: First red flag was when we checked in we had to sign a form saying we “would not” be having parties

is that an issue?yes, the confirmed Then lots of dog Surprised by the dog barking through the night Didn’t realize this was a pet friendly hotel I’m pretty allergic and I sure woke up with a bloody nose, stuffiness, and dryness The room itself was great though and the layout with the king bed worked out great as it had a little living areas separated by the hallway with the bathroom All great there We could hear someone pounding the floor upstairs as they walked around Must be thin walls? The AC or waternot suresomething in the wall mad weird noises clicking noises in the middle of the night Room doesn’t have much for noise reductionGym: Gym was good actually Great weight rack and bench area and the treadmill and elliptical are all goodSwimming: The swimming pool/lazy river was awesome There’s tubes you can use Great placeFOOD: Super hit and miss with the food The pizza wasoddwe weren’t sure what the flavor we were tasting was Like wet soggy salty cheese or something The pepperoni was literally flavorless The burger was great!

This was a beautiful hotel with a nice layout, just loved the flow of it We checked in after a very long 🚗 drive I went to the room that I choose on the app but when I walked in, I realized I booked us the wrong room

My son and hubby walked in and I said, don’t touch anything and let me see if we can get a different room The room that was currently booked was a king size only That was not going to work because we had a 12 year old the size of an 18 year old LoL!!! Went to the front desk, explained the situation and asked to see if it was possible to change to a 2 bed She checked and was able to switch us The room was just down the hall from the 1st one and even closer to the pool The pool was really nice by the way Loved the lazy river to float around in The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and I have to say, the staff was amazing!!! I have to say, if she was able to help me out with my room situation, that is above and beyond customer service Just so you know, no free breakfast but a wonder little restaurant grill with a beautiful bar There is also a workout room with really nice equipment and a large spacious laundry room if your needing on on your stay We really enjoyed our stay here

We are Tucson residents vs tourists or seasonal We did not stay overnight, but most visiting friends do We go from time to time for golf, lunch or dinner, for a drink, a few bets and people watching

The food is average, but not overpriced Great atmosphere The pool area is beautiful! As a local, we sure wish they had a mid week golf ‘stay and play’ special over the summer We know a lot of friends who’d utilize it a local get away!Go! Courtesy and service are definitely on their list of criteria for employment!

Stayed for 2 nights last week, had an excellent time, even w the mask mandate Pool was perfect! Staff was friendly and helpful, Food was delicious in all the restaurants as always, Love the updates, good mix of slots Clean atmosphere

Only complaint is the bed in 709 felt like sleeping on bricks would definitely replace asap But would stay again when in town hands down

I had to get away for a bit And the Casino Del Sol, was a great place to go with my family members to eat some great food, meaning anything you want to eat they’ll have it On top of that the place is beautiful from the outside and inside with plenty of parking

Once you get in the slot machines are amazing which had my eye’s dialed in to win

It was so dirty that we almost checked out as soon as we checked in(and we should have) but it was too much trouble We were tired and my son’s graduation was early the next morning During our stay one of the two elevators was down and the service elevator was a well

Not good not good at all! It was a full house and not only do you have the graduates and their families you also had housekeeping using the one elevator that only holds 6 people Also, because of the graduation everyone needed it if there at the same time! The staff was nice, apologetic, but really needed more knowledge of the area The taxi service they use, the cars were filthy, but the drivers were nice They boast about having the best cinnamon rolls, so we were eager to try them, boy were we disappointed They were dry and no goopinessWe stayed in an accessible room for my mom but the door was so heavy it almost knocked her over, the floor was filthy, the ceiling was disgusting and made you feel it was going to cave in, but in a good note the beds were clean(I took the sheets off to make sure) Shame on Marriott for allowing a property like this in their portfolio! I love Marriott’s not this one! 🤮 One positive, we had a nice view of the mountains and campus

You think after a 13 and a half hour drive id be in a bad mood checking into a hotel??? Well I was but Elisha at the front desk with her cheerful professional personality made it all go away It is employees like Elisha that make people wanting to continue to choose Aloft as their place to stay Thank you Elisha for your welcoming greeting that made our stay a very pleasant one

Give this woman a raise or a paid day off cause she deserves it👍

The hotel itself was really nice, but I’m indifferent because I’m not sure about the initial service we received checking in, want comfortable The service during the street and when we were leaving was awesome I guess it was just the two ladies they had at the front initially

There is a bar and pool table downstairs and snack area Restaurants are within walking distance for those wanting to visit
