I had a great experience at this hotel The room was exceptionally clean as was the rest of the hotel Even with 2 weddings and staying on a designated pet-friendly floor, we did not hear anything from our room and had a most comfortable stay

The staff was friendly and more than willing to do a little housekeeping upon request during our stay! We will 100% consider staying again in the future Thank you to the staff at The Hotel for a wonderful and welcoming stay Hands down one of the top hotels in the area for the price

Shannel D. K.

Really nice place and the woman at the front desk was very nice and lovely With that said, I am only giving 4 stars because it is 4 days after our stay and my $50 room security deposit has still not been refunded Will change review once I receive that money back

***edit: after one week I received it back so am changing to 5 stars

Jesse and Michelle are amazing hosts, very hospitable and warm We booked the whole place for two nights for a party event, and us and all our guests felt comfortable and excited to be there Breakfast was delicious each morning as we all sat in the sun room

The rooms are large, as are the en suite bathrooms The history of the house is fascinating and the grounds are gorgeous

Sharon Ann Holt

The Inn was a great place to stay It’s easy to find off US 29 and my room was comfy, stylish, and very well appointed Also had a small sitting area, which added some delights

The hosts were friendly and took a lot of extra trouble to make sure that I had a gluten-free breakfast I am very grateful for such care There’s a fantastic ancient tree out front which is worth stopping to see My stay was in late October, but I have added going back in warmer weather to enjoy the patio and outdoor space to my bucket list Highly recommend this historic Inn

Outstanding 11pm to 7am Desk Staff The young gentleman was quick to get us what we needed when we arrived to check-in around 1am He was very polite in offering me assistance while being very attentive to the pain caused by my disability

His kindness in helping us during our stay, as well as getting us checked in quickly and efficiently helped tremendously Really enjoyed our stayI lived in Chesapeake Beach for 20 years , up until 2010 Returning to town, I was shocked by changes made to this small sleepy Beach town It’s becoming to big, over sold, over built up, then an eye sore of a parking garage ruined the entire backdrop to the town I brought my better half to see for the first time I know, changes are progress but still, the golden gem in the rough, now looks like tourist trap and gambling pit

Rebecca Gallery

It’s a nice bingo style casino The slots are not traditional slots, they are ‘tabs’ which is like a stack of predetermined lottery tickets It’s fun for a little while

The food is terrible but the drinks are pretty good The view of the bay from outside is incredible, shame they keep the windows shuttered up like a dark pit That’s the biggest downside It’s really grim inside

The Maldonado’s

Great location and amenities Morton’s is one of my favorites, and they are located in many nice hotels like this one Make sure you visit on the evening

Our tour had breakfast arrangements, missed the eggs on the last two mornings of the trip To their credit, staff was kind, attentive and accommodating Starbucks in the house too (for those Cafe lovers like us) Safe “business” area, and parking is just around the corner Modern feel with plenty to do around the hotel

Eva S

It’s a good business hotel, quiet standard, could be any brand really Pros and cons below:PROS:Large spacious room with nice expansive views onto the main street, gets good light during the day Comfy bed

There’s a desk to work at if need be Nice staff at the hotel, very accommodating and caring Very clean, good observation of covid rules etc Food served during the event was good too, tasty, good temperature- I recommend the current kitchen staff can certainly cater for breakfast tooAreas to IMPROVE:No breakfast, no pool/spa; the air in the hotel was so dry most event delegates were complaining about difficulty to sleep at night, myself included – I strongly recommend to get lots and lots of green plants, maybe install some air humidifiers for the winter months The shower head was full of limescale – need to check those details and replace Maybe add a picture(s) in the room, some softer interior details – interior now looks so sterile, plain

Mitch Grussing

We visited DC for leisure, and we felt that this hotel was the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and value Driving in from out of town, it was easy to get to this hotel by car, and the Metro stop made it easy to get to all the big sights around the capital Our rooms were clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable

Yes, you have to pay for breakfast here, but there are tons of options nearby, including several in the lobby I was perfectly happy with Starbucks and Dunkin; my husband and his parents sought fancier eats in the morning The only bummer was that there’s no pool and hot tub But still I’d give the place a full five stars because we were truly satisfied with this hotel

I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying at the National Harbor Check-in was a breeze, thanks to Kimberly! She made me and my family feel so comfortable and welcomed Kimberly has a angelic personality

She kept a big, pretty smile on her face every time we entered and exited the hotel She was so nice and I hope her manager reads this review so that he/she can provide her with a raise She is deserves it! The room was spotless, very clean and inviting We slept well in the comfortable beds, the sofa bed mattress was even comfortable! The host at the hotel did not hesitate to provide service when needed They were “johnny on the spot” We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast The only thing missing at the hotel is a pool My great niece was anticipating upon arrival the pool She is currently taking swimming lessons and was so eager to show me her moves! In closing, the Hyatt Place National Harbor was a 5 star experience for me and my family

The awesome aspects: The lady at the front desk was amazing, both at check in (around noon on 6/30) and checkout The room was very quiet, clean and cozy as well And the bed was so comfortable

The pool was a salt water pool; the outdoor pool was open, so the indoor pool was closed, which was fine The pool was also open late as a bonus– until 10pm It may have been heated, as it was not freezing– still cooler than I would have liked but you get used to it They accepted our quiet, chill dog for $50 as well, and generously allowed for an early check in and a late check out And the kids (5 and almost 7) loved itThe only unawesome aspects: My husband mentioned the chef was pretty grumpy and seemed very frustrated with him, and told someone else to just go see what my husband wanted, leaving him to wait for a period, refusing to address him (and my husband is exceedingly nice to everyone, so this was surprising) It seems that a ticket should have been placed rather than direct contact, but this was poor customer service on the chef’s part Aside from that and there being no water bottles at check in, there was no issue I would stay here again

Scott Rhodes

Room was spacious and clean – two queen beds Hallways humid as was the lobby AC worked well in rooms

Outdoor pool nice, indoor pool was closes Staff very friendly Breakfast buffet – food was good Made to order items Breakfast not included with room charge $1195 per day Hours for breakfast only until 9am As it was a holiday, could have extended to 10am

I am a Gold member and have been for several years I asked about a room upgrade as part of my Gold benefits The girl said there was nothing available

At 3PM the parking lot was empty I asked the girl about this she said it was sold out I said “with the parking lot completely empty?” She said it won’t be later We were out running around and came back around 9PM The hotel parking lot was still empty It may have been sold out but I am tired of the lies from Hilton!! I have never been able to get an upgrade as long as I have been a Gold member! Funny how there were rooms available at 10PM as I faked booking a room!! ??? Next problem, the girl told us breakfast went until 10AM Most hotels do go until 10 AM We got down to the lobby at 9:20A and it was closed, NOBODY even sitting there still I looked at the hours for the breakfast bar the 1o was taped over and 9 written in Third issue, booked this hotel because we like an indoor pool and Jacuzzi Jacuzzi was taped off with no water in it-closed I just checked again, NO WHERE on their web page does it show it was down!! Needless to say, my Gold member will expire soon as I am done with Hilton Our corporate discount is even HIGHER now than the regular rate!!!! Going back to Marriott!

Massive hotel! The rooms are large and beds are comfy Rooms are pretty clean The hotel is very dated

Looks like it came straight out of the 60s/70s There is a weird odor in the halls that is thankfully not present in the rooms The elevator is central to the hotel, so if you have an end room it’s quite a walk The elevator also smelled like weed( in fairness, that could very well be from the massive prom or wedding they were hosting) Also, thought it was weird that the fridge was just sitting in the floor All in all, not bad, but could use some deep cleaning and updates

Cherry Du

In a perfect world, I would type up a novel to recount the frustrating and disappointing experience of staying at this hotel, but I will do my best to stay within the character limits My husband and I booked a room here for a friend’s wedding this past weekend and arrived around 1:30 PM on the day of check-in Over the next several hours, we were told one excuse after another by several different front desk personnel about the status of our room

Long story short, there were no rooms ready for their customers to check in to because the cleaning staff could not keep up after a night of being fully sold out I was repeatedly reassured that I was on a first-come, first-served waiting list and that I would receive a call as soon as my room was available However, check-in time came and went and I never received a call that night The most frustrating aspect of this ordeal was that several other couples, who came in after me, were given their rooms right away I have no good explanation for why this happened other than to assume that the staff were exercising some sort of discriminatory practice My husband and I had no choice but to change in the lobby bathroom and show up for the wedding in a frazzled state of mind We didn’t receive our room keys until after 10:00 PM that evening, when we returned from the wedding The only silver lining to this experience is that we were able to successfully advocate for 20% off our room cost as a small consolation for being kept out of our room for half the evening In spite of this gesture, the level of disorganization we witnessed here is unparalleled to anything I’ve ever experienced in the realm of hospitality services Needless to say, I will never be back to this establishment and will recommend anyone I know to follow suit

I just can’t believe I haven’t heard of more weddings happening at the Cinnamon Tree! I am SO thankful I found the Delta for my reception!! I don’t even know where to begin

the planning team I worked with (Kelly and Delynn) is just unbelievably helpful She accommodated every single thing we asked for The pricing just absolutely astonishing how affordable it is My favorite part is the McCormick suite that the bridesmaids and I got ready in a wo story open suite with a kitchenette, fireplace, library, dining table, and couch that 4 guest rooms connect into (a HUGE selling point for us) And the food was DELICIOUS! Not to mention, the service was OUTSTANDING! We had a private breakfast in the Cinnamon Tree Restaurant the next morning and even that was amazing!! Again, I truly cannot say enough good things about having our reception here If we could go back and pick our vendors again, we would pick the Delta without hesitation!!

As a marriott platinum member, I was treated no better than other customers or even worse Was there ona business trip and the room charges supposed to be charged to the company credit card instead of mine However, they charged everything to my card although the company already authorized for all the charges to be put on their card

When I reached out to them they were not helpful or responsible Customer specialist Juliana James did not respond to my email after several attempts Definitely did not expect this kind of service and this is very disappointing for a Marriott brand

J Taylor

Nice place, excellent location with lots to do – you can easily walk to Dave & Busters arcade, go see a movie, or visit the bookstore and Target Sheets and room smelled very clean! We left a whole bag of kid’s stuff that included an AC adapter to a Nintendo

super valuable to a 7 year old and really nobody elsethe amazing maid promptly returned everything to the front desk and we were able to retrieve a few hours later Thank you

I’ve stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Gaithersburg a few times during the pandemic It is located in the heart of Washingtonian Rio and is a short walk to the movie theater, restaurants, and shops They have a small parking lot to the side of the hotel for guest registration and unloading

Additional parking is available in the retail parking garages The check-in and check-out process was smooth When I checked in, they told me about their weeknight happy hour from 5-10pm with discount on beer and wine and handed me a small flyer with guest information about their bistro, fitness center, housekeeping, and parking If theyoffered complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day and night to guests and two complimentary water bottles to their Elite rewards members, I’d give them 5 starsThe bistro located on the 2nd floor serves basic Starbucks drinks, breakfast, and dinner For breakfast, they have the following items: Two Egg Omelet, Eggs Your Way, Bistro Breakfast Sandwich, Balanced Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Burrito, and Classic Oatmeal For dinner, they may have the following items: Avocado Lemon Yogurt Dip, Caesar Salad, Margherita Flatbread, Loaded Tot – Chos, and Grilled Chicken & Bacon QuesadillaDuring my stay, I had breakfast at their bistro I had a Two Egg Omelet made with egg whites, gruyere, and caramelized onions It was served with crispy herb potatoes and ketchup and dressed with lemon EVOO It was deliciousMy room (including the bathroom) was clean, spacious, and great view of the Rio lakefront In terms of toiletries, they provided makeup wipe, facial bar, body wash, shampoo and conditioner I liked how the showers were hot The bed and sofa bed were super comfy My only complaint was the walls aren’t very insulated – you can hear conversations, opening and closing of doors, nature, and motor vehicles

The finest hotel we have ever stayed in We default to Marriott and have stayed at legendary, impressive brands The Ivy outclasses them all

From the moment we arrived and handed over our car to the valet, we knew we were going to be cared for by a well-trained TEAM Every single member has obviously been trained in service and teamwork They were simply outstandingThe concierges all had a broad knowledge of the surrounding area but were obsessed with making sure we received the experience we wanted They were pleasant and engaged without being garralous They paid attention When I highlighted a possible error on a 2rd party travel website, they took it personally and got to the bottom of it They understand service is not perfection, but a relentless commitment to teamwork and continuous improvementThe food was splendid The breakfasts were delicious, the daily afternoon teas were refreshing, relaxing, and welcome Dinner was always deliciousSo the price is higher than usual-and 100% worth it Yes, they provided value to us as clients and we would gladly return Spectacular time!

Nice hotel Parking was free on weekends so if you are leaving on a weekend there’s no need to payEntry is a bit weird off the street but the security of this hotel is 5 stars

You need your keycard to get around Staff was nice as well Room was clean Like most hotels the bathroom could use some more attention but overall was very satisfied

Yanick Rochon

Rooms are okay The curtains still let light pass in the morning The extra bed had no blanket included so we had to order some (without charge but we specifically asked at check in but had to repeat request a second time)

Nothing else is included There is no swimming pool, no gym, no breakfast included, and a paid parking It’s disappointing for the price

NYCFLY

Convenient transportation, convenient shopping, quick check-in, considerate handmade chocolate cookies at the front desk, business center, easy access to computers, clean and tidy rooms But there is no matching pool and exercise equipment, the room does not have a microwave, parking is not ideal, there is paid parking and paid breakfastSo Check-in is recommended if parking and breakfast are not required

Well me and the wife stayed here for an anniversary getaway The service was absolutely amazing Ms

Michell at the front desk sent us chocolate covered strawberries and champagne Complete surprise for us We were just having regular conversation and she sent us a gift Very attentive and caring to our needs and privacy Mr James the concierge made sure we barely lifted a finger or the phone He knows all the good spots close by We loved the view and the staff

James Coutourier

The staff is great with good hospitality The location is actually even better, right across the street from the beginning of the harbor A very peaceful hotel but It’s way overpriced

Very old looking with a weird carpet stench Chipped walls, chipped doors Looks like an old Catholic Church Doesn’t have a good view either compared to other local hotels Old dirty carpet ! It was a burn mark in the unattached foot rest not to mention it didn’t even match Just a badly designed hotel for the price Needs remodeling

This place is an unbelievably good deal The rooms are HUGE (be sure to ask for a tower room) It’s a bit of a drive from DC, but we plan on staying here any time we come back

This hotel offers an experience you typically don’t get unless you’re spending an additional $100-200 per night Be sure to walk to the town square in Rockville where you’ll find families with kids playing in the water park when the weather is warm Great hotel for families

The staff is very unfriendly we said hello and attempted to be friendly after making 8 hour trip with a baby But, They did not say hello or welcomed to the hotel

“keys, wifi, elevator to the left” is all they said we asked for a change to do laundry, and the staff refused There was no coffee in the morning, and 2 staff were talking to each other while guests were waiting for coffee Location and building are fine, but service is terrible

Mike Larrick

OK but quite expensive for the quality Rooms are clean and large, but not a lot to write home about No bath, only basic cable

They will charge you $20 for parking, which seems scammy They tell you they’ll validate parking but don’t mention they’ll charge you for it For a hotel on the outskirts of beltway suburbia, you’d think they would include that with the room I didn’t take a boat in Also they will send you spam emails and texts to sign up for their club

I was here for my Husband’s Birthday/Memorial Day Weekend and we enjoyed our weekend!! The resort is beautiful, the view of the beach was amazing!! The staff from check-in to check -out was friendly and courteous They made sure our visit went as smoothly as possible I really enjoyed our Atrium suite overlooking the pool

My only comment about the pool would be the hours The pool is open 9am -10am adults only, then until 10 pm adults and kids We don’t have any kids but found that we had to get down to the pool early to enjoy the quiet and relax; but noticed before 10 am kids were jumping in the pool Maybe extend the adults only time a little longer? I did enjoy the jacuzzihowever it is rather small My husband is 6’4 and we were in there with another couple and were comfortable Shortly a third couple joined and we left as it was becoming crowded I took off one star for the room as there was a leak outside the bathroom from the light fixture above Whenever the people upstairs took a shower or used the water it dripped in our room from the ceiling Upon checking out we told the staff member at the front desk and she said she would let the appropriate persons know; however, this may be helpful in the future but didn’t help us any Overall I would come back again, I love the resort, the location and all the great eateries within walking distance !!

Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort has so much to offer, especially if you have little kids The indoor pool, private beach access, and large atrium for them to run around was perfect for my 18 month and five year old! Parking is very convenient with their own garage We stayed in a poolside suite that had 2 beds in a separate room, and a living room with a pull out couch and full kitchen

Plenty of room for my daughters pack n play and us all to be comfortable! We will definitely stay here again, everything was so clean and there was always something to keep my kids busy!

Our stay was GREAT!!! The staff was very attentive and helpful We rented a condo, it had 2 bedrooms one with a king size bed the other had 2 queen size bed the living room also had a pull out couch 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen

With the location of the hotel you could either go out to eat but on other days maybe you just want to stay in and cook There’s a ACME grocery store within walking distance Having that option can save a lot of money The only downside was their elevator situation During peak times you may have to wait a good 10/15 minutes for a elevator But all in all I loved my stay

Stayed here for a clergy retreat in March, so I didn’t get the full effect of a summer resort, but it was still a lovely place Very nice and comfortable room with lots of little extras Meeting spaces were pleasant, spacious, and comfortable

Food was very good Decor throughout, outdoor facilities, and views were all pleasing Staff were pleasant and helpful The building is quite large, so be ready to do some hiking from one end to the other I was aware of the class separation of the place and the advantages one must have to stay at such a place I’m grateful for the subsidized prices we got for this retreat and for a bit of luxury and pampering my career doesn’t often afford, but I wonder if it was a little too posh

First of, I’d like to say that this resort will hold a special spot in my heart because it’s the first trip that my baby boy went on, and he had a great time! What I LOVE:- beautiful pools and fun water slide- so much to do: mini golf, arcade, pool, water sports, etc you don’t need to leave the resort at all!- food is great and good variety at different restaurant- amazing reviews of the Chesapeake bay, we even saw several dolphins (we visited during Memorial Day weekend)- the spa is absolutely FIVE STAR, I had the best facial in my life here, the products they used were so refreshing, the lounge was relaxing, changing room was spacious and cleanThings to improve:- the room feels crammed to me and furniture (including the crib) look outdated, for the $300-400+ price per night I’m expecting a better room- indoor pool wasn’t super clean and had multiple bug/fly bodies (there were so many flies and bugs during that time and the indoor pool has all windows and doors open)Will definitely come back when the rooms/facility are renovated! Overall, a very relaxing and satisfying experience for us

Good but could be great The property is beautiful and picturesque on the water The staff was EXCELLENT!! Everyone (for the most part) went out their way for guests

But the whole hotel needs a refresh/power wash The windows in the restaurants need washing inside and out along the trim and doors The rooms were oddly decorated but that’s a matter of taste The grout in the shower and floor could stand a good scrubbing The fitness center was missing several weights and they need to replace some of the worn out balls and bars etc I didn’t go to the pool, in part because the chlorine smell was so strong I could smell in halfway down the hallway before the double doors to get to the top floor of the pool All that said, I enjoyed myself and will go back

The staff is really, really nice!! Easy to get to by public transit— you can call their shuttle to get you from the metro, but it only runs on weekends right now bc of the pandemic It’s about a mile walk in an easy flat area if you don’t have too much luggage or it’s a nice day Beds are super comfy and the showers are great

The toiletries provided are lightly scented and smell great! The rooms are kind of dark at night which I don’t really like, but they are otherwise great Nice and clean The light switches are all electronic buttons which might take you a few minutes to work out but once you get the hang of it it’s kinda nifty The pool and gym are solid and the conference amenities are very attractive as well I haven’t been to the spa myself but a friend got her nails done there and had a great experience The bar is wonderful, though the beer selection is pretty smallThey make a great bloody mary!

I loved my stay here! Beautiful hotel with an amazing view Conveniently located just steps from the University of Maryland The staff was nice, the room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable

If you are planning a trip to DC this is a great option just outside the district but is located near the metro line I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again

Janna Chan

I have stayed at the University of Maryland Hotel several times over the past few yearsThe rates are good and the service is excellent The staff is very friendly

I wish that some of the rooms had bath tubs instead of just showers but that’s a minor issueThe two restaurants right next to the premises, a pizza place and a bagel place, are excellent and reasonably pricedObviously this location makes sense if you’re doing something at the University of Maryland However, it’s a very clean and professional outfit for anyone staying in the DC area in general

I visited this location for business travel and was exceptionally pleased with my experience Upon arrival, I received a small welcome gift [as a member of the rewards program], and had a beautiful lake facing room I was pleased that it was quiet and all service requests were tended to with care

During my stay I enjoyed the fitness facility, restaurant, and adjacent attractions at Rio It was very nice to have the option to go to the movie theatre or walk around the lake right next to the front doorEven though there were many highlights of this trip, the best part was undoubtedly the service provided by Carla [front desk] She went above and beyond in helping me with all of my questions and become acquainted with the area I even had a few requests that were not part of the regular offerings and she helped craft and deliver innovative solutions It was a refreshing relief to receive such excellent customer service that would be more commonly associated with the St RegisOverall I strongly recommend this hotel for any business travelers and also believe it would be suitable for families as it quite safe and orderly There are also adjacent attractions for children including a carousel, large arcade and multiple high quality family restaurants

My daughter and I stayed here last week during the independence day weekend The hotel was quiet, clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming The location was ideal: we walked over to AMC for a movie-night right across the hotel! The breakfast food was so well prepared I left a note to the food service manager about how much we appreciated the wonderfully prepared food, even though it was a slow weekend with very few customers at the hotel

I am impressed by the quality of the service and highly recommend this hotel!
