Booked over the phone The woman I spoke to didn’t seem to know what she was doing so I asked for a confirmation number to ensure the booking When we arrived the woman at the desk said we didn’t have a reservation and couldn’t find one by searching the confirmation number

We were told we didn’t have a reservation and could not stay there because they were booked No remorse or sympathy exhibited whatsoever Every other hotel was also completely booked Finally found a room available at in a neighboring town that cost over double what I had booked the room at the Baymont for

This is not a mid level hotel Its down there on the bottom for the cost The bed is hard and uncomfortable, the bathroom is small, the tub shower combo can barely fit a small adult with bathroom supplies a mix of low quality supplies

There is no fan in the bathroom Breakfast is low quality and we just ate out even the coffee and food was cold at 6:00 am Small pool no hot tub Ac did not work well This will be a pass for us from now on

Good, clean rooms in the heart of downtown Steven’s Point Loved the full fridge and freezer in our room and the service here is friendly and approachable A bit interesting with the shower and ventilation

Also the tub part of the shower creaked mightily when standing in it Minor things overall but a good place to stay in Steven’s Point

The staff was very helpful and friendly They even allowed me to upgrade my room for a small fee Our room was spacious and very comfortable

Honestly this was probably the most comfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept on too I wish I had taken pictures of this place but I will just have to let my words speak for it If you are in the Wisconsin Rapids area I highly recommend a weekend stay at this fine hotel They truly go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one Plenty of parking too!

Stayed two nights, 7/28-7/29/2022 Made the reservation on their own website I wanted a relaxing two days in a room with a whirlpool

I’m a disabled veteran and TRULY needed a whirlpool room and was so happy to find a room near where I would be going on Saturday The website also states there is a spa Noticed in the confirmation that it was for 2023 so be careful when booking I called to correct it and there was no problem, very niceThe next morning I was called by the hotel manager stating there was a problem with the whirlpool room, it was broken, and that they “upgraded” me to a family king room I explained that I needed the whirlpool Becky, hotel manager, explained it was a very nice room and they had a jacuzzi near their pool I was not happy about this but compromised Upon arrival after a 215 mile drive, the restaurant was closed as was the pool and jacuzzi It was also explained that what they consider a “spa” is a sauna room?? Ok, great No spa The following day, I went to the pool area for the jacuzzi and it was not working Neither was the sauna When I brought this to the desk’s attention, they stated they discounted my room to $159, which is the price of a room with no jacuzzi This hotel knew IN ADVANCE the entire purpose of my booking this room and blatantly lied to me In fact, when I checked in, the girl at the desk slipped and read the notes on my booking aloud and said they overbooked it, not broken Honesty could have avoided this entire thingBy the way, they STILL CHARGED ME $400 FOR THIS! And the second sink in the room was filthy, cobwebs all over the room Proof of stay and what they charged for their awful lies is in the photo below I asked, more than once, for the manager to address this while I was there When I checked out, she was “at the farmer’s market” Thanks, Becky Thanks a lot

I’ve been staying at the Mead for years, as in for almost 25 years It’s still the best hotel in town but it’s gone downhill I had a Sunday check in and arrived around noon

Asked for an early check in so I could work in the room because there wasn’t a suitable private area anywhere else and they wouldn’t accommodate me; instead I waited 15 minutes in line when they opened up check ins at the official check in time at 3pm Hotel bar was closed for some reason Rooms are tired and in need of updating Mediocre experience

Great accommodations! Fantastic breakfasts I can’t give 5 stars because the a/c was seriously inadequate The a/c only cooled the bedroom, not the other room in the suite

It made the humidity awful, as well The minuscule fan located near the ceiling was supposed to move the air It did not, and sounded like a freight train in the room Very annoying

PET FEE WENT UP TO 5000 A NIGHT!!!!I have stayed here several times with my dog The rate was always reasonable and I liked the location and the hotel

I booked it last month and when I showed up they informed me that the fee went up to 5000 a night for a dog That’s absolutely ridiculous! I had no choice as it was late and I’m sure they would have charged me the room if I had walked outIf you don’t want to accept Dogs, then don’t Don’t screw the pet owners Other hotels in the area that are just as nice are totally reasonable in charging fees If you have a pet, look elsewhereI’ll never stay here again

The room we first checked into was not cleaned that I could tell (the bed hadn’t been made ) The lady working front desk seemed a bit overwhelmed (the hotel was completely booked with several things going on in the area) she did get us a new room but like I said she seemed very overwhelmed The best thing I can say about this hotel is the coffee was good and the breakfast was also good

My family and I came through early Friday, I’d say a little after 5 maybeReceptionist was courteous, she had a nice smile

Lovely young woman It was a little tough on my old knees going up the stairs to our room, 212 The Room was lovely, oh and a writing desk Only a small pad of paper, not much for souvenir Would have liked the option to purchase a Postcard instead The beds were made quite nice, the room was Clean, smelled nice Big bathroom, also very clean All areas accessed in the hotel were clean, comfortable and welcoming, It was quiet throughout the night The breakfast food was lovely Saturday morning checkout a breeze Lovely hotel in town

I had booked a room for the night of 2/19/2022 When I arrived at the hotel at 2pm, I was told by the receptionist that I would be charged an additional 50% if I was to check in an hour early So I waited and came back at 3pm

I checked in and they charged me an additional $50 on top of the booking saying that it’s something new Where I come from, you don’t change the deal after everything is agreed upon I got up to the room to find that the room was not clean Decided to use the jacuzzi tub in the room It took 20 minutes for the water to warm up and that lasted less than a minute Then it was ice cold again The pool area had rotting food by the hot tub and was straight up disgusting and this was first thing in the morning Floor in there looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks All in all, it was a poor experience

Jimmy P

If I could give zero stars I would I didn’t get into town til late and when I finally arrived at 2am the front sliding doors were locked and nobody was at the desk I “pressed 0 for the front desk” and rang them until roughly 2:45

So for 45 minutes I tried getting ahold of someone to no prevail Lucky for me i was able to get a room up the road though not something you’re really prepared for after driving 2 hours I guess I just couldn’t believe it
