We had a great 4-night stay at the end of April The property is beautiful, with lush greens and lovely walking paths to shops and restaurants—easy access to all the restaurants We loved the pool area and never had trouble finding a chair

The kiddie pool was perfect for our families The food/ beverage service at the pool was good – thank you to Charlie for taking care of us The room was lovely – an incredible view of the beach and pool The staff was friendly, with lots of smiles and always greeting Restaurants on the property are average and pricey

William Ledbetter

We had a great time From the time you drive up all staff are friendly, quick and professional The resort is beautiful and the grounds maintained impeccably

The food was much better than average resort food, in fact it was excellent to my surprise Everything was clean, the maid-service was excellent The bar drinks were good Plenty of chaise-lounges for all of the guests by the pool Beach was well maintained The Live Oaks all over the property were spectacular and the property is huge I will come back again probably next year

Highly recommend this resort to anyone Room was really nice with comfortable beds and pillows, great TV, refrigerator and in-room coffee maker, good shower and a deck with a most wonderful view of the ocean Staff was very friendly and service was great

Great live music in the indoor bar area and in the poolside bar/restaurant Beautiful, extensive grounds with lots to do in addition to swimming in the pools and ocean The nights in this area of Florida were so pleasant and the hotel was a great place to be outside enjoying the weather!

The rooms in the tower are

Okay If you don’t mind a small bathroom If your room number starts with a seven or higher Good luck You are in the 1970s Holiday inn out back You will definitely get your steps in getting out to your room from the lobby Front desk service is above average Restaurant service, food, prices, drinks, wait times are well below the norm Do not eat here You will starve before your food arrives and you will end up paying two to three times the value of what you get Drinks are not priced appropriately for a second rate Hotel bar, at the airport Overall, the hotel needs a serious refresh Attention should also be paid to maintenance The elevators are not in great shape There is also a massive plumbing leak in the lobby

Overall great hotel The staff I encountered was very nice and pleasant From the front desk clerk to the house keeping lady

Check-in was very smooth and easy Room was nice and clean, every day Bathroom is very small but no big deal The air didn’t seem to be working very well It wasn’t hot but it wasn’t the coldest Over all a good place to stay I’d return if I’m ever in the area again

Jennifer Fredericks

We arrived at the hotel warm multiple people were checking in on a Friday night They had one very nice lady at the desk trying to manage the entire front desk check in along with phones Management needs to staff appropriately and not have one person

I felt bad for the front desk lady She was professional efficient and polite I expect much better from Hilton Shame on management

This was just an overnight stop on our drive from Sarasota back to Philadelphia The hotel was so beautiful and smelled so nice! The staff was incredibly friendly Continental breakfast was a typical hotel free breakfast

Nothing too fancy Didn’t get a chance to order from the bistro The little Starbucks inside the hotel was so convenient Our view from the hotel room was gorgeous Could’ve seen the sun rise from the Atlantic Ocean if i would’ve gotten up a bit earlier Wish we would’ve been able to stay longer than just a night

Jeff Harrison

Everything about our stay was perfect! Every single one of the staff was amazing but Robyn, Cat, Dennis and Jen went above and beyond to make us feel at home! Robyn and Cat helped us at the front desk, Dennis gave us shuttle rides and local input, and Jen helped us as a manager with shuttle and room details My husband and I came to celebrate our toddlers birthday and were so impressed with the cleanliness of the room, the pool, lobby, breakfast etc The one bedroom suite was well stocked and very spacious! We used the shuttle to go to the downtown area and the beach and it was on time and easily available especially with a full hotel on a holiday weekend! Cannot say enough about the quality of hotel and kindness of the staff!

Buster Ecks

Phenomenal Stay! My check-in experience was great I believe the woman’s name was Robin She gave me some great ideas of places to grab food while in the area

She also gave me a heads up that many of the locations close early, which saved me from having an unwanted fast food dinner! The hotel room was great Open layout, but made is such a way where the bed isn’t in sight upon walking into the front door — this is something I don’t like thay many hotels do There was a full kitchen with stove, microwave, coffee maker, as well as pots, pans, and various cooking utensilsThe amenities were great as well! A gym (though a bit small), putting green, BBQ Grills, pool and hot poop, fire pit, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the air The location is also quite quiet Parking is free, and there’s a shuttle that will take and pick you up anywhere on the island Though know that they only have 1 shuttle, so your wait time may be a bit long, so plan accordinglyIn short, great stay, great room, and great staff!

Barry Hasson

Had a great one week stay here Very clean hotel with friendly helpful staff We were in a corner room on the fifth floor so it was very quiet

Bed was comfy and room was spacious One of our TVs could not connect to the internet, so we just watched on the bedroom TV The breakfast was incredible! New items added every day we were there Waffles, pastries, bagels, muffins, omelettes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, Canadian bacon, sausage, cereal, oatmeal and much much more Sue, one of the wait staff was just great! Pool area was well kept and there were gas grills on the patio for guest use This hotel is an easy walk to the beach (two blocks) and is a short drive to everything There is also a very nice greenway trail that runs for a few miles behind the hotel Thepics are from the trailThe price for a stay is very reasonable We’ll be back!

John McMillin – Cstore Secrets

Our stay at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge was perfect The staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating to every request we made The accommodations were clean and well designed

The location on the beach was perfect Breakfast was delicious and the afternoon reception was great after a long, hot day I had read a few negative reviews prior to our visit and after staying, I can’t imagine how anyone could leave a negative review My husband and I travel frequently and have stayed at many places and this tops our list The only thing that could have made our stay better is a pool but even without one, it was a wonderful experience

Melissa Wallahora

This place has the ability to get five stars if the bedrooms and bathrooms weren’t so outdated and dirty Soon as you reached upstairs there was a stench of musty, dirty laundry The stench remained the entire time we stayed

Our bed sheets were not clean on our first night The fun part was every-time we had to use the bathroom, the toilet seat would slip off when we sat The tub was disgusting with stains that seemed to have been there for years I was so uncomfortable and did not feel like I was in a hygiene safe place Very close to what a motel would be I’m so upset because of the cost I have no issue paying high for quality service, This was not the case On the positive note, staff was very friendly and accommodating The downstairs lobby and porch area is so nice Breakfast was good But my favorite part was the beach area Beautiful clean beach My husband and I enjoyed being at the beach with the complimentary umbrellas and chairs hotel provided I do not recommend staying here Unless they renovate and clean up bedroom and bathrooms

Rebecca Krygiel Capello

I stayed at the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge for 2 nights It is in a good location and has great beach access The breakfast food was good

And there are also complimentary waters, brownies, cookies, fruit, etc throughout the day Every staff member I encountered was very friendly On the first night, it was very cold and unusually windy outside (47 degrees) Unfortunately, the central air unit in my room did not work, and the temporary window unit didn’t have a heat setting It was an uncomfortable night to say the least The staff did offer to move me to a different room for the next evening, but it would have been a downgrade size-wise (and no balcony) Thankfully the 2nd night was not as cold The bed, linens, and pillows were not as comfortable as I expected them to be I was expecting better quality The bed was a bit hard for my taste, and the pillows were very thin and worn Inside the main building, it is very small and cramped Just not my taste All in all, this place is okay I would not stay here again for the price I paid

I noticed some less than great reviews before we stayed and realize now that they seem to have been directed at the previous owners Under the new owner and management, this place is great The staff was helpful and friendly

Everything is clean and well-kept Definitely as nice as any other B&B we’ve stayed in, especially considering the age of the building Every we were interested in was within walking distance St Mary’s is a charming, quiet little coastal village Good restaurants and little shops My only recommendation would be to add some variety to the breakfast offerings, though everything served was good Highly recommend if you’re looking for a short, low-stress trip Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach is an easy 45 minute drive away and was a nice excursion for the day

Staff was friendly and breakfast was very good! I’m only giving 4 stars because when I slept on the sofa bed, it wasn’t the comfiest It was flat and not a typical comfy bed like I am used to We drove hours from home towards our vacation stop and we’re very tired so I just wanted a little more comfort

Very clean and a good overnight stay

My mom and I stayed at the Addison on Amelia Island for my birthday week in May and loved our stay so much, we didn’t want to leave! Before we arrived, we were offered complimentary amenities to help celebrate the special occasion! We had the pleasure of getting to know our Innkeepers, Lisa & Ron who were so accommodating and make your stay so special in addition to Lisa and Ron who immediately greeted us and gave us a tour of the inn once we arrived, their adorable dog,Molly also greeted us as soon as we walked in! Lisa & Ron make you feel right at home and are consistently making sure you’re comfortable and content throughout your stay

Each morning is something to look forward to with home made and delicious breakfasts with fresh food from the farmers market This place is truly special right in the heart of the historic district and we will definitely be back!

Sonja Ardoin

The Addison on Amelia Island was a recommended lodging choice in a travel book I often use and it lived up to the hype! Lisa and Rob were extremely friendly, offered great recommendations throughout our stay for local dining options, and prepared wonderful breakfasts for us! The room was larger than expected, the bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the outdoor spaces (front porch, garden area) I also appreciated that there was access to complimentary water, soda, and coffee throughout our stay The location was also ideal – in walking distance of everything but a bit away to allow for some privacy and peace

They also had bikes available for use, which we did not take advantage of but is a great amenity for those who want to bike to the beach or around town I would stay here again and recommend that others consider The Addison too!

Abby Wiedman

The Addison was the perfect place for a wedding weekend! My bridal party and I spent the morning getting ready at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast The Addison staff was so friendly and accommodating to us as well as the photographer and videographer We had so much fun drinking champagne on the balcony and taking pictures in their gorgeous courtyard

After the wedding, my husband and I came back to a clean room and a sweet “celebratory” treat to kick off our mini honeymoon weekend Although there were plenty of guests staying at the Addison (I believe it was fully booked) we still had plenty of privacy and were made to feel as if we were the only ones there This is such a great bed and breakfast, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying on Amelia Island, especially for a wedding!

We had stayed at Seaside Amelia Inn with our two grandchildren for six nights The customer service was very good and everybody was very friendly We got a suite and the kids had slept on the pullout sofa and the pullout bed

Everybody was comfortable The rooms are not very big but very clean and recently renovated The air conditioning units are very quiet and they cool our rooms very well The breakfast was fresh and good Grady a very nice person was around and making sure nothing is missing at breakfast Children loved going to the the swimming pool after the coming from the beach

Dawn Reyna

We booked a room late afternoon on a whim It was the last room they had available so I was skeptical We were very pleased with our room

We could see the ocean and the pool (rather small, but clean) and it was tiny They called it a “studio” BUT the room was newly renovated, had a TV, chair, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a queen / full sized bed The bathroom was newly renovated as well, and had a tiled, step-in shower We only needed the room for the S’s *CENSORED*, shower, shave and sleep so it was perfect for us The bed was really comfy Slept like a rock There was also a cool rooftop patio with great viewsThe free breakfast was good and the lady who handled that (Grady??) was the sweetest, most pleasant person I met that entire trip!As of this posting, the hotel is in the middle of a remodeling project but this didn’t affect us much You cannot beat the location, which is at Main Beach and less than 50 yards away from a playground and 100 yards or so away from a skateboard park if you have the need or desire for these things It’s also less than 1/4 of a mile from the entrance to Fort Clinch If you can get a room, take it

Shawn Rider

This was by far one of the BEST stays my family and I have had! Jean at the front desk was absolutely amazing! That is also speaking for her entire staff, the customer service was the very best! I HIGHLY recommend staying here for anyone, location is great, rooms were clean, and great breakfast Thanks again to Jean and her staff, y’all were amazing! 👍🏼

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Fernandina Beach, within easy walk of downtown shops, restaurants and the docks We stayed for two nights in April 2022 Our room had a king-sized bed that was very comfortable and not too firm like most hotel beds

Everything looked new and clean and we loved the shower head A/C and ceiling fan worked great The room had a view of the pool and was pretty quiet The hotel also has its own bar Front desk folks and the bartender were very friendly and helpful We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Fernandina

Amber Dumas

Amelia Schoolhouse Inn was so charming! This quaint inn was walking distance to all that downtown Fernandina Beach has to offer Nicely appointed, clean rooms Very quiet air conditioner and fan in the room (very important!)

Bed and pillows were comfortable We grabbed a few drinks at The Principal’s Office which was great And shout out to Amanda for her friendly, attentive service I chose this hotel based on the reviews and I’m very glad I did! Would recommend this inn to anyone wanting a comfortable, enjoyable stay close to all the good restaurants and shops Would visit again next time we’re in town!

I really wanted to love this place! It was cute But their bed was terrible, it was an old spring bed Pillows very flat and hurt my ears to sleep on

The comforter was still wet and smelled like mildew Their is a very cool popular bar next door with a live band that plays until 11pm So if you have one of the outside rooms you hear everything! From our door you can see the band Breakfast was bad too :/ Quiche was cold or gone The yogurt was frozen solid The shower was clogged I was able to fix that but then the hot water would turn on and off and the pressure would go down to a trickle Overall it was a good idea and has potential but fell short every time

Melissa A

We stayed at the Inn for Mother’s Day this past weekend The room was very outdated, and there was water from the A/C on the floor (a big puddle) the entire time we were there The jetted tub was not clean (the hoses needed maintenance)

Which would not have caused me to leave a bed review, but all that one top of the biggest issue we had The water went OUT while my daughter was taking a shower 3 times (during the shower) I had to tell her to turn it off and then on, and it workedbut then it went out a second time and came back a few seconds later SUPER coldit then went out AGAIN for a third time! This was not a very good experience considering the service was not very friendly Not BAD, but not great either Also there was a wedding and things were zoned offwhich is fine by itself, but when you add there was another event in the morning which it was zoned off and loud its just eh It like ok, are you an Inn or are you a event rental? Just not great at all would not recommend considering there are other bed and breakfast spots in the area for the same price Sorry for the brutal review, it was just EH and your customer service could do with a little bit of a chipper (meaning happy to see you, how was your stay, your room is located herebreakfast is at 8:30 over hereetc you know the usual pleasantries)

Kevin O’Brien

For a brief getaway to beautiful Fernandina beach, we chose the Florida House Inn to stay at because it was centrally located and looked historic I found out later that it is the oldest continously operating hotel in Florida, which is pretty cool Lots of character

The rooms are pretty basic, but ours had a jacuzzi tub, which was nice Disappointingly, the in-room fireplace cannot be lit, but this is probably a complaint better directed to the Florida regulatorsFree, good, made-to-order breakfast was a nice perkFree off-street parking is just behind the hotelAdjacent to the property (and owned by the same person) is the Green Turtle Tavern I was surprised that even mid-week in the off season, music is playing until 10PM It was relaxing to sit out on the sencond-floor balcony and listen while sipping a bottle of wine Old souls and light sleepers probably don’t need to worry about the noise; between sound-proofing and the air conditioning, we didn’t hear any noise from the streetOverall, a great historic hotel in a charming little city!

What a wonderful place to rest, recharge and be with nature We spent a weekend at the Inn and loved it Totally recommend a visit

The staff is very friendly and accommodating The boat ride onto the island is very easy going and on time The food is the best we ever tasted, kudos to the chef The decor is very well kept to the time period of a historical inn The attention to details is seen in the entire inn and property Great!”Special thanks to Elle working at the Inn and Christina who provided great tours”

Absolutely magical placeWe booked our second stay as soon as we came back home from the first one=)The house is interior designer’s dream with lots of charming details Staff is very nice and helpful yet you are left alone most of the time which we loved

The nature is incredible! Its out of this world We went in March (perfect temperature wise) and in July (very hot and humid with lots of bugs but the forest is incredibly gorgeous this time of year)Another unexpected luxury is the food Breakfast and lunches are great but dinners are a real fine dining experience You can tell their chef is a real proOverall we felt like this place is consistently held to the highest standards in every little detail

Visited mid June ‘22 and stayed in one of the rooms in the Inn This was our second trip to Greyfield, and the good news is that nothing had changed in 7 years! The island is unlike anything else, the Inn is beautiful and filled with history, the food was excellent at every meal, and the peace and quiet was exactly what we were looking forTake the excursions – the naturalists know the history and all the best spots to stop and see wildlife and other photo ops

Because of the flight & ferry schedules, we had to fly in a day early and stay in a bed & breakfast in Fernandina It was there and at dinner that we heard concerns about air conditioning in Greyfield Not sure where this urban myth comes from: Greyfield has had central air conditioning for years Our room, the dining room and common areas were all cool in the midst of a scorching heat waveGo and visit Greyfield! You won’t regret it

A true home feelI must highlight the breakfast… Warm fresh eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles and delicious coffee The sweet lady that maintains this is admirable She keeps the area spotless and has a kind word for everyoneWhile a mid priced hotel it offers a luxury hotel standard!Thank you

Traveling with two elderly, small dogs and needed accommodation for one night where potty breaks for them were not a logistical nightmare Nailed it here Ground floor room had vinyl flooring that was somewhat textured so they weren’t sliding around on the floor

Enough space to put their dog beds down Potty area was a few doors down a hallway and straight out onto a level grass area Rubbish bin located sensibly Best pet friendly accommodation so far Room was clean and all amenities functional Other pet owning guests were polite and considerate Will stay here again 😃

The location is perfect and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and a few shops We were in town to see family for the weekend and the hotel met our needs for a quick stay Pros: The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean, and staff was very friendly

Cons: the pillows are horrible, hotel is dated and not really comparable to the photos, you have to request a stay over cleaning for less than 4 days of stay and go to the front desk and ask for new toiletries if you need them Breakfast was good and several options, it would be great to have flavored coffee creamer Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend and will consider again when we need a quick hotel for a few nights

Just finished a 5 night start at this hotel Good location about 5 min walk to the beach and good restaurants nearby The staff is so nice and helpful when approached

Breakfast was great and well sockedThe only issue was the cleanliness of the room It was disgusting on arrival to the point that we didn’t even bother calling housekeeping The sheets had stains and there was so much hair shed on the pillows Bathroom was also gross We cleaned the space ourselves Really contemplated biking the hotel for our time and products we usedThese are the pros and cons of our stay

This place was perfect for me! It was dog friendly, the staff was nice, accommodating, and so chill! The location was amazing and it Is so close to the beach and everything and anything! The pool was the perfect escape from the hot beach! Was the room super fancy? No, but I didn’t choose this hotel for a super fancy room I’m chose it because it was simple and practical! I know I will be back!

We were charged an outrageous $176+ for a king room that was located in the same hallway as construction There was so much dust in the air I spent much of the evening sneezing, coughing and blowing my nose The closet had a thick coat of dust as if it hadn’t been dusted in ages

The bathroom had mold around the sink drain, in the shower head, corners around the tub The AC unit was so loud it woke me virtually every time it turned on If we weren’t so tired from being on the road all day we would have left Holiday Inn should be ashamed they put us in such a dirty room The irony There was a card on the dresser proclaiming how everything was cleaned spotless and sanitary

Andrew Molinari

Early in the morning There were alot of slammed doors and loud voices Usually at Holiday Inns I have a great experience but there didn’t seem to be any sound depending or soft close door features preventing this

Even worse in the morning someone opened our door Thankfully the emergency lock on the door worked and kept them out I jumped up and looked in the hall way but I didn’t see anyone It isn’t clear if someone has a key and was trying to break in or if it was housekeeping just not knocking I called the front desk and they told me it was probably house keeping But even if it was house keeping they should just try to open the door without knocking and announcing themselves
