We stay at a lot of hotels due to my husband’s career, and I like to leave very honest reviews This was a beautiful hotel It smells lovely everywhere you go and everyone was helpful and friendly

The valet service is incredible, specifically Patrick and one other gentleman (his name slips my mind but he has a beard! 🙂)—they were so great One recommendation is that the rooms aren’t that big for a big family and that isn’t on the hotel, that was on us; we have 5 children but we made it work with one room just fine The rooms are normal size, just get two rooms if you have a bigger crowd and prefer more space We stayed for 5 nights and it was great! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wow WOW WOW WOW what an amazing hotel Stayed for 2 nights (wish I could’ve stayed longer) and everything from check-in to the water pressure in the shower was seamless I absolutely loved staying here

The decor was so cool, the staff were just amazing and just the overall experience was top notch I will to the end of days refer your hotel to anyone I know that’s going to ATL Thank you so much for the great stay! It’s hotels like this that make me love traveling 🥰

Nicole Roufs

Love love loved this hotel! Prob my favorite hotel I’ve stayed in The decor is beautiful-that in itself is worth a trip here! The rooms are perfect (They give you water in your room as well-such a bonus!) ♥️ The staff is amazing-like truly

Every person we came in contact with was so friendly They genuinely are nice people who care and you don’t feel like they are just doing the “job” only little thing was the restaurant was a tad slow and felt unorganized but def not enough to keep me from coming back! Def hope to visit again soon!!

A two night stay at the Kimpton for a business trip The room is adorable, the hotel is nicely appointed FYI the bathroom is an open concept bathroom

The bedding and sheets are FABULOUS, and high quality All of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful The Betty has a great breakfast, super quick sit down service and great quality There is an upstairs rooftop bar with great city views, at the hotel I would absolutely stay again

Nice clean new hotel Simple room without a lot of amenitiesOutstanding restaurant on site, had a great dinner there

Went the following morning for breakfast, waiting a long time to be seated, then no one came to take our order Only one server was on duty, and when we saw her chatting up another party that came in after us we leftParking is valet only at $45 a night

Mellimel 71

I really want to like this hotel The ambiance is there It’s definitely unique but that’s where it ends

I think because I paid through a 3rd party site, I got the 3rd party treatment and room In order to even get ice I had to make multiple requests with the front desk and wait (and repeat) There’s absolutely no access to a microwave The bed was a big bowl of sadness but since you’re awaken by the loud noises of every door on your floor opening and slamming shut it’s ok because you won’t sleep much The only shining stars were the bartenders at the Betty They were the friendliest people I encountered in my 3 night stay Last thing The rooms were clean but had a mix of old (mostly) and new One of the workers told me I should have had more in my room But I reckon I can’t miss what I’ve never had I’m as disappointed at the fact that I didn’t take pictures as I am that I stayed

This was an excellent experience The bartender on Fri and Sat evening 7/15- 7/16 was kind and efficient and made great drinks Restaurant experience made me feel valued and the food was tasty

The room was absolutely beautiful and nicely decorated with elegance and efficiencyThe Christine Horn Booking Magnet LIVE Conference made an excellent hotel selectionBest hotel stay in a long while and I am so glad I treated myself

City Mouse

The front desk staff here is terrific, Miss Charisma, her real name, was efficient, extremely capable and pleasant and we had the fastest check in I’ve ever experiencedShe also, without even being prompted, updated the email on my old Marriott account Now THAT’S service

She single- handedly restored my faith in Marriott’s reputation for consistently outstanding people – which standard they have NOT been meeting at the Atlanta Marquis property in recent years This location (Century Center) though has proven to have really excellent staffImprovements:The coffee in the restaurant was bitter and a little bit sour, although the selection & food on the breakfast buffet was very good There is a very limited service Starbucks in the lobby tooBathrooms: there’s only 1 tiny hook, and it’s inconveniently placed right above the toilet No other towel racks We don’t need fresh towels every day (save water everyone!) but there’s not enough hanging space there A little more counter space would help tooThe rooms could use more counter space as well A folding luggage rack is a necessity in a hotel room, and there should be 2 of them! The small counter directly under the hanging clothes rack was not well placed The small refrigerator was a nice touch though

Staff is so friendly!Restaurant service was great, food was decentRooms were clean and housekeeping was kind and promptLocation is an isolated island, nothing within walking distance so either be prepared to drive for everything, or pay highly inflated hotel prices for snacks and sodas

TL;DR: HIGHLY recommend for large group events in Decatur!ACCOMMODATIONS & SERVICEThis hotel and staff were EXCELLENT Comfortable and stylish rooms, and staff were very helpful to address any questions or needs We were there for my sister’s wedding and they accommodated the whole family

It has such a comfortable feel with gathering spaces for everyone, large parties or small groups Some rooms have windows overlooking the central community area which I liked, but if that’s not your thing and you want more quiet you may want to request an externally facing room The pool and the gym were also quite nice, and the cafe serves Starbucks beverages which was a nice morning treatPARKING & LOCATIONThere’s ample parking also It’s super close to lots of shops, restaurants, and things to do which was really nice for everyone who was in town We stayed busy and no one had to drive anywhere Also really close to MARTA

Keki B

The accommodations were nice and clean You can tell they take cleanliness very seriously, which is greatly appreciated The room itself was decent

Sort of modern, however, the bed was firm and comfy I did love the hardwood floors That was a very nice touch Overall, I enjoyed my overnight stay The $10 parking though, I didn’t love Haha

Tyler Schimmel

Our van broke down on the highway so we had to book a room quickly for the night The customer service was great! When we arrived we were greeted with water and a quick room upgrade I do not remember the mans name, but he was very accommodating

Their service to our room was fast when we asked for anything extra and our room was very clean Although we did not plan on staying here, I would highly recommend it I

The rooms were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable! The hotel manager could not have been more kind, hospitable and helpful To top it all off, the restaurant Fia in the bottom of the hotel was amazing and every single thing we ordered was beyond delicious This was our first time staying, but it will definitely not be our last! We cannot wait to come back!

Came in yesterday night from hearing all positive reviews about the outstanding service delivered by the French man I was exceptionally pleased by the service and overall presentation of the hotel Most of all, I got the most warming welcome from the front desk agent Godavious! He spoke about it being his second day but I couldn’t tell because he knew all nearby attractions, details about the overall hotel and an amazing sense of style! I’ll definitely be returning with my family this weekend!

I was a little nervous about booking this hotel because of the reviews, but I had an amazing experience! My hotel room look just like the pictures that are on the website

My daughter and I came into town for a Deftones concert We had been on the road for about 7 hours So we were pretty tired and just wore out

Edit- the manager responded to my review but missed key details It was not that there was a parking fee The parking fee email we received days before we arrived was misleading

The price was incorrect and it did not say PER DAYThe smoke smell was not regular smoke It was weed The people at the pool were smoking weed I changed my stars because even though the manager responded, the actual issues were not addressed The fees were misleading and there was illegal activity on the propertyI believe this hotel could improve greatly with more communication, staff training, and security We received an email before arriving stating that we would have to pay for parking It just stated a cost It did not say per night and the cost was more at the hotel than what the email statedWhen we checked in, we were given no details on how and where to pick up our car When I called down the morning we were needing the car, I was transferred to valet and no one answered It took a good amount of time to figure out where to goWe went to the pool one day and there was a small group there They guys were not swimming They were smoking weed in front of a no smoking sign This happened for at least 45 minutes There was no security presentAll in all we loved our stay There needs to be some improvements to make it better for all Especially for the price you pay

Linda Sherman

Overall, this was a decent hotel The rooms were clean There were a lot of amenities throughout the Atlanta Marriott Marquis

I especially liked the fact that we could walk to food courts without going outside The pool was quite nice – just always crowded I also liked how they had different elevators for different floors – that decreased waiting times Another plus was the many seating/lounging areas on the 3 lower levels The employees that I encountered were very accommodating

annmarie nagelin

The hotel itself is nice The people I encountered were pleasant and helpful The room however was very minimalist in design Unfortunately this means there is very little storage for clothing

There was one small drawer The room was somewhat dark There was a lamp on top of a closet The rug was a little dirty I made myself a coffee in the morning and all the creamers were solid

This 5 star hotel is just phenomenal! Our safety is very important to us so, I love that you need a security card to even get on the elevator to get upstairs where the rooms are I also love that there’s a door bell on every door instead of having to listen out for a knockThe grand entrance and showstopper lobby decor is just stunning

I am all about peace and tranquility, so, I love the fountain outdoor space!

Rosie Cheeks

Parking garage is not connected to building, will have to walk across the street to park in garage Parking is $35/day with no breezeway to keep guest out of weather element is kind of excessive I notified front desk manager to ask gift shop attendee to great guests upon entrance and to offer assistance if needed

The salesperson was on the phone but a simple acknowledgement would have been appreciated 🤷🏽‍♀️ Vending machine options definitely should be available there are over 13 floors of sleeping rooms; this will help guests stay comfortably close to their rooms and grab a snack or beverage to hold them over Staying over three nights should have a benefit of two complimentary breakfast coupons up to the cost of a buffet 🤔 just maybe

Ashley Fairchild

My husband and I spent a weekend here and really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is beautiful and the room as well as the pool area were neat and very clean I loved that there was a bar and restaurant within the hotel One of the best parts was you can valet your car and use the hotel shuttle to get around, which is nice when you don’t want to have to get in all the traffic

My husband and I have been to this hotel about 8 times in the last 6 months and we love it It is pure luxury and the service and rooms are always over the top It is extremely clean and housekeeping is always accommodating

The last time we went we had some very unusual issues like the front desk never getting back to us multiple times, the food store not having drinks on hand, and the valet getting the wrong vehicle I could not bring myself to give 4 stars though because whenever we go we always have such a good time and we feel so well taken care of

Saloni Joshi

This review is for the Spa and Pool My friend and I were very excited to have a spa day for her 30th birthday I had called MULTIPLE times and even communicated with the Supervisor through email quite a bit to make this appointment

We wanted to ensure ALL the amenities were working (especially after Covid) as we wanted the whole Spa experience The day before our appointment, someone called to confirm the appointment They did not tell us that the amenities were out of service during this time When we showed up for our appointments, they told us the steam room, sauna and whirlpool area was down We elected not to get our massage service and were EXTREMELY disappointed by the lack of communication and nothing really being done by the staff to rectify this We took time off work, drove all the way down and all they could do was apologize and even said “oh we’re glad we can take off the cancellation fee for this” We had to cancel our appointment because of them and their lack of communication to us about the amenities! They did let us use the outdated pool where the music was so loud that we called requested them to turn it down, which of course the staff their did nothing about Also their were two guests there that decided to use the outside tranquil pond as their hot tub as they got in and sat in it for 20 minutes or so Just overall extremely disappointed by such a luxury brand Definitely far from luxury

Alexander Reid

I was very satisfied with the staff and their willingness to accommodate They all were friendly and professional Even if I had an issue with something, they were willing to resolve it quickly and offer me something for the inconvenience

Ms Ellen Daniels took great care of us and although this was my first stay at this hotel, it most certainly, will not be my last

Our stay was excellent from the time we checked in to the time we checked out We utilized online check in which allowed me to select a room on the higher floors where we felt we wouldn’t disturb other guests as we do have small children Being able to view the floor layout on the app is definite perk when traveling with small people

When we arrived at the hotel the front staff was friendly and helpful We were able to find parking within the gated garage no problem We found our room and were able to get squared away for the night The room was clean and comfortable The bathroom was well lit and spacious The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and accommodated guests of all ages We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when in the Atlanta area

Excellent Hotel, Great Rooms, Great Staff! We took a flight from Arizona to attend a family members graduation from Emory University We were not familiar with the Atlanta area, and were thrilled to find this Hampton Inn based upon reviews on both Google and Trip Advisor When we arrived, the staff member we interfaced with was excellent

great customer interface and pleasant We parked in the parking garage next door, which was affordable, safe, and the next building to the hotel We asked for and received extra towels since we were in and out of the room over a three day periodOur room, which had one king bed, was spacious and nicely appointedWe interfaced with the General Manager, Jerry Roach, who was extremely friendly and who helped us to understand the variety of eating establishments around the immediate areaWe had a rental car and found it quite easy to arrive at the hotel from ATL the ride from the Airport was quick and not complicated at allOur ability to get to the Emory campus quickly was uncomplicated as well Fifteen minutes at most Starbucks is easily accessible by car; approximately 12 minutes away and not hard to findOverall, this experience was a 10/10 Congratulations Mr Roach and your staff for a top notch hotel experience

Absolutely wonderful stay!!! If I could give 10 stars I would I can only imagine the bad reviews are because those people are broke, sad or have never stayed at a 5-star hotel The spa staff was absolutely amazing and the services were even more amazing

Reggie at the front desk was also incredible Any time we had a request the hotel fulfilled it within 10 minutes They even sent someone to the car to grab our clothes that we left in it We will be making this a quarterly trip Thank you very much for the great experience!!!!!!!

Joshua Lindau

Pleasant staff and accommodations as expected We were recognized for our elite status, had our room upgraded, and enjoyed the executive lounge as much as possible, very nice perk to the hotelThe hotel does seem to host some group conventions, and I see other reviews complaining about this, but this is to be expected based on the area of town

Would definitely stay again!

In short: friendly staff, less than desirable roomThe front desk staff was super amazing and friendly However, the room is less than desirable

The room immediately smelled of smoke from cigarettes or marijuana The sheets were clean and no visible bed bugs or insects found in my room The vents to the HVAC were very dusty as if not cleaned since install As others have mentioned the bathroom is small dimly litI would not recommend this hotel, I expected more from a Marriott affiliated hotel you are better off paying extra for the Courtyard by Marriott or another place and read the reviews

KENYA Edwards

Horrible experience We arrived with a group of 30 in many suites My room was infested with aunts all over

Ants in the bed, the counters, the end tables, the chairs…It was excessive We could not leave our drinks or enjoy a meal and lay it down I have sent videos to the manager and cooperate with zero resolution or assistance with relocating Haven’t even been offered a refund nor points Was told my case was closed Marriott said there is nothing they could do although the hotel branded their name We stay at Marriott all over the country and this by far as been the worst Traveling so much, You expect things will not always be perfect, but the follow up on the issue was unacceptable by both the hotel and Marriott customer service

Hector Ramirez Jr

Came here on business with my Job on a Monday afternoon and they initially authorized a $25 deposit for incidentals To my surprise, Friday they had Authorized an additional $90 I advised the front desk lady and they told me it would take 5-7 business days for it to fall off my account

That would typically be okay if that’s what I authorized but it wasn’t CONSUMER BEWARE! They like to authorize whatever they want Don’t dare give these crooks a credit card Then to make matters worse the sink in the bathroom didn’t work properly Bugs in the bathroom and trash right outside your room (food for the rodents and possums just great) I am in complete disbelief of the unprofessionalism of this establishment I would have much rather stayed at the real Marriott Not this nonsense Then for breakfast they just have microwaveable sandwiches and cold hardened French toast sticks Sandwiches smell like feet who wants to eat that!

This was a very interesting experience – but in a good way I booked a room after not really reading much about the location itself It’s not a hotel, it’s a bed and breakfast which surprised me

There aren’t many rooms but we didn’t have any issues with parking or getting checked in The building itself is old but very clearly maintained and cleaned I booked a room with the jacuzzi tub in the room The tub is barely large enough for two people of medium size More than enough room for one person The customer service was also excellent When I mentioned a pork allergy during breakfast, we received a chicken patty instead of sausage The rest of the breakfast was really good too The location can’t be beat either, so close to Stone Mountain Definitely would go back

Beautiful property with an excellent host The rooms are luxurious and impeccably clean The host, Christian, is warm and welcoming, and very helpful with recommendations

The shower is great, breakfast was delicious We would certainly recommend One of the nicest B & B’s we’ve ever experienced Big plus is a great German restaurant in walking distance

This Bed and Breakfast was delightful! Large rooms, very clean, excellent breakfast, homey, and amazing customer service! Cristian and Adam were kind and caring hosts! From precheck-in to check- out they went above and beyond! The location is great with plenty of great places to eat within walking distance! Loved this stay and if we are in the area again we will definitely be staying again!

The good: Clean room in general Decent location Great last-minute pricing

Good customer service The not so great: You can tell some updates have been done, but certain things about the room show its age The shower was a little moldyThe indoor pool was much smaller than expected, and that entire area was kind of gross The drain on the pool deck was full of hair and the room seemed like no one had bothered to clean it in a very long while

Overpriced & Poor ServicePlease, please, please save your money and take your business elsewhere I booked a room for one night with a romantic package for my birthday and I was so disappointed from beginning to endFirst, the website listed the romantic package as a bottle of champagne along with breakfast served to your room

LIES! The champagne was a very very cheep bottle of J Roget Extra dry champagne (valued at $499 at our local store) and breakfast is a voucher that is used downstairs at the buffet style cafe And no one even bothered to give us the vouchers even after we asked several times and was told that we “should have” received it at check in We just got the constant run aroundSecond, the hotel room was So So So small And the bathroom shower had mold in the tiles The room fixtures where covered in dust and the phone was broken This was a motel quality room at best Our view was nonexistent (a building with a parking lot)Lastly, customer service is the worst Front desk hardly never answers and all the employees seems to be having a bad dayWe have stayed at many hotel in Atlanta and was so excited to visit the Westin My birthday was ruined and my money wasted Please heed my warning and take your business somewhere else

We had a great stay here Room was decent Staff was very nice! One thing I forgot to ask about was Parking

They offer valet and self parking I’m sure you can find a garage yourself to save a bit of money on Parking if you want Valet was only 5 or 10 dollars more than the self park in their garageOverall I would come back Lots to see and do within walking/few mins drive

Just another hotel taking advantage of covid to cut back on amenities and service You have to argue with the front desk to get your room cleaned or towels replaced Even after that, good luck getting housekeeping to show up

In my case, they lied and claimed my do not disturb sign was posted From my room, the elevators were very loud – to the point that it seemed like I was sleeping next to the interstate during peak hours On top of this, there was no hot water or heat for 2 days during my stay Did they offer a refund or new accommodations for this massive inconvenience? Yeah, no You’re better off pitching a tent in Olympic park and showering in the fountain This Westin is a joke yet still charges $250 per night Recommend staying somewhere else Breakfast was consistently good in the cafe Good views from the sundial restaurant

So, to begin with I was checked into a room that hadn’t been cleaned There was trash in the trash cans, the table tops had some kind of dried sticky substance on them, there were dirty towels on the bathroom floor and the bed looked like someone had just taken a nap I tried to reason that maybe they’d turned the covers down for visitors to get into bed easier

NO, this wasn’t that This was a dented pillow where someone had been laying and a bed that someone had hopped out of really quickly They did get me checked into another room within 30 minutes However, I’d made my reservation weeks in advance It shouldn’t have been that hard to check me into a clean room Then there was way too much noise in the halls all evening and valet took forever The view of the city was amazing However, the entire experience for the price was just horrible Completely ghetto hotel, I’ll never stay there again, and if you can avoid it don’t stay here

The hotel itself it’s beautiful with breath taking views , the management was accommodating as well We arrived at 6 pm and stood in line to check in to our room until 7:05 to be told that the deluxe room we booked was no longer available but we would get a king bed room and a $100 hotel credit We were finally able to get our deluxe room as well as the credit

We enjoyed our stay until it was time to get our car from valet , we waited 45 minutes and finally asked where our car was and they said they called our name but most certainly did not What is the point of paying 50 dollars for valet if it’s not going to be convenient when we could’ve parked across the street for 7 bucks Overall experience was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the prices you pay Also we chose to use some of our credit at the bar and waited another 35 minutes for 3 cocktails
