Good location Nice pool BUT if you have more than one person staying in the room, I would NOT recommend

The bathroom doors are “barn door” style with opaque glass Which means:1) They don’t actually fully close, and every sound and smell will be fully shared with the the sleeping space2) If someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night, you WILL see the bathroom lightIt looks lovely, but the design practicality is 0 stars

Courtney Baty

The entrance is warm and inviting The room was fairly clean, the couch had stains and rips The rating comes from lack off amenities for the price ( the spa was dirty and had large amounts of foam, no breakfast, bar and grill were closed) the noise (my neighbors kept me up till 3:30 am) and the fact that housekeeping came into my room at 9:35am without knocking, as if I was already checked out from my 4 hour sleep

Luckily I had clothes on For being a more pricey hotel in the area, I expected more

Zechariah Church

When I checked in and went to my room The TV wasn’t working, so I tried to call down to have someone fix it No one answered, I had to go down to the desk to get help

None of the trash cans had trash bags, the shower had hair all in it I paid extra to have breakfast included and all it was, is a bag with an orange, granola bar and a bagel Not worth $20 extra dollars The bar/restaurant was closed Was just an overall disappointing stay and wouldn’t recommend anyone else staying

Ok so where do I begin? Room window was left open so room was freezing when I arrived, Dusty so it’s terrible for those of us with allergies (It had me wheezy and sneezy all night EVEN on meds!) heater in room didn’t work, horrible parking experience, carpet in hotel smells old!!!! To say that this is a “4” star hotel, The hotel stay was a horrible horrible horrible experience! Will NOT recommend! Ever! I left sick after a 1 night stay! HORRIBLE

J. B.

Very interesting place Consider this before you go, examine architecture carefully before booking I liked the vibe and each corridor had something fascinating (because it appealed to me)

Don’t expect natural light filled areas and brightly colored walls Expect something rustic & more of a Your Grandfather’s Man Cave vibe Worked for me! See pics of the room, bathroom, & corner table Great service by the way from valet to front desk I took some time to explore, although the place was a little dead (covid, duh), it was fun Like I said, INTERESTING place for sure Go see

Jerod Beeson

The staff here REALLY know how to WOW with hospitality and competence! Stayed for my wife’s birthday, and from check-in to check-out, the folks at the front desk were extremely generous for her birthday, as well as helpful (going above and beyond) every time we had a question about the area or needed something The hotel is taking covid precautions very seriously and implementing smart and effective solutions to keep their guests safe Not to mention that the hotel was as beautiful as it was comfortable

Would give more stars if possible! We’ll definitely be back when in Portland again! Thanks guys!

Hands down one of the best experiences I have had! This little boutique hotel has very cozy rooms – with all of the comforts of home The jetted tub was a major reason we chose this hotel and it was beyond worth it to unwind for a night away from the stress at home! The room was spotless, and they even left a personalized card and bottle of wine with our breakfast voucher This place is lovely, and we will definitely be booking again

The Orenco is a gem! Located on a quiet and charming street, yet also has easy access to highway 26 A short morning walk to a wonderful bakery and restaurants only a block away My room was cozy, comfortable and spotlessly clean

The owners are kind and attentive The room had all of the amenities that I needed You don’t want to stay in a big hotel, when you can stay at the Orenco! I’d definitely stay there again Thank you Margie and Richard!

Julie Diebolt Price

Reminiscent of historic brownstones in New York City, The Orenco offers short or extended-stay lodgings in an upscale, quiet, and safe neighborhoodOur room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom included toiletries with bathrobes, and kitchenette was fully equippedMany great dining options are within a short walk and it’s also close to the Tri-Met station

I was exploring Hillsboro, which is not far from home This is a perfect place to stay if you are in the area for business or pleasure

It is very clean and up to date We had a shower with glass doors- no leakages It had a large vanity with sink separate from toilet and shower

It had a 1/2 wall that separated the bed from the small living room and a wrap around desk ( plenty of counter)I would stay there againWe used points for our reservation since Hilton bought Diamond Resorts A plus for us

Anastasia Petryakov

Honestly, the stay was great Staff was nice, rooms were clean, pool was clean BUT we came from out of state and got our catalytic converter stolen overnight Extremely stressful and disappointing

We parked in the main lot towards the back During the police report we learned this isn’t the first time it happened, maybe getting a security guard for over night lot guard would make the stay more safe for your guests

Brian R

Pros: Fair price Wonderful and friendly staff the rooms were clean and beds surprisingly comfortableCons: The bathroom fan was horribly loud and you have no option to turn the fan offWhen the light is on the fan is on This was really annoying and disruptive

Building needs a little updatingId probably stay here again!

Pros : Absolutely Fantastic location in central downtown Portland just a few minutes away from Powell’s Bookstore The rooms were very quiet once the window was closed and they even had blackout curtains The shower was great

Was able to secure a room with two double beds that were very comfortable and clean The room had a safe and nice bathrobes There was also a TV and the staff were only a text away Did not stay long enough to access the gym facilities The staff are very hands-off which is nice for me Free coffee and pastries at breakfast and your choice of local craft alcohol on checking inCons : No cleaning service until requested or you reach a 3rd day, no insuite mini bar just an empty fridge Can’t order room service as the restaurant and bar on site seems to be closed long-term instead, you have to order from a restaurant online that requires inputting of all your information again and was quite expensive Since the hotel was so central you were spoiled for choice in regards to food options outside the hotel so that wasnt a big deal for us Also no extra movies or things you could order on the tv if you were in the mood for that They charge a resort feeAll in all my complaints are pretty small and the hotel was at a good price point and so centrally located I would 100 percent stay there when I’m in Portland next If you are bombing around town all day it’s a perfect base camp for your adventures

Laura Nichol

We stayed at the Dossier because Travelportlandcom recommended it (in a recently updated article from Oct 2021) as a place that was dog-friendly with no pet fees that even had special amenities for dogs (bed, bowls, treats, and a “spiritual menu” we were dubious of and intrigued at the same time) The only box it ticked was the first one

We weren’t offered so much as a MilkBone for our pup, and when I saw the itemized receipt in my email, there was a $25 pet fee included in the bill It’s a nice place and we had no issues with the staff, but were disappointed from our expectations We had thought we’d be getting something extra special or we’d have opted to pay half as much to stay at Holiday Inn or something Maybe they need to talk to TravelPortlandcom about getting their info straight if they don’t want other guests to feel shorted

We were so excited to stay here but it was overrun by sports teams, kids and people from conferencesWe stayed Saturday night and paid $300/night (after taxes/fees) for a very chaotic stay This is a smaller embassy suites location but is newer and has some nice touches

Parking is an additional $10 We had to move rooms because the first one wasn’t clean The pool was packed with 10+ kids and even if you were to go for a drink at the bar there was nowhere to sit with kids running around the lobby Also, screaming kids running up and down the hallways outside our room was not enjoyable We mentioned this to the front desk and they offered only a sorry and nothing more We booked through Hilton and are members but we were quite disappointed nothing was done to make up for our stay and lack of available amenitiesAll of the staff were wonderful! The breakfast here is really good with a lot of variety They also have a guest reception with some light snacks (veggies and chips) and beverages (5:30-7pm) Beds were very comfortable and most rooms only have showers(no bath tubs)

The hotel and staff while we were onsite were great A few hours after check out I saw I was charged $250 I called the hotel and they stated it was for smoking in the room

I proceeded to mention that I do not smoke I was transferred to the manager and this is when my experience turned bad He and I will leave his name off when on the state his head of housekeeping stated the room smoked like smoke and they took the room out of service He proceed to argue with me even when I say I would get a copy of my medical records to prove I do not smoke It took over 45 min of my precious vacation time to get my money refunded I will never stay at this property and might possible never stay at a Hilton property again It’s difficult to give a company business when a manger calls you a liar If you stay here I would have hotel staff walk through your room with you before you leave because it looks like they are trying to pull a fast one on us I have never had a manger imply or call me a liar or anyone one

Overall a good stay at the hotel The front desk and housekeepers were all pleasant and helpful The hotel is newer and quite modern, and in a safe neighborhood close to restaurants and shops

There were a few things about the hotel that I wasn’t a huge fan of The rooms have an open concept to them, where the sink is outside of the bathroom, and is right behind the wall where the beds are If someone wakes up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, the light by the sink shines over the wall and can wake others up Also, there is no microwave in the rooms, although there is one in near the front desk that you can use It was inconvenient to go down 4 floors to warm up our leftovers in the eveningI stayed for 5 nights and was told that for my length of stay that they would clean the room every other day (which was perfectly fine), but there was some sort of supposed glitch in their system that made our room get skipped over for cleaning I had to go down to the lobby on the 4th day to see what was going on The lady at the front desk was very sweet and put in a call to housekeeping, which came and finally cleaned our room an hour later Not the worst thing in the world, but after being out exploring all day, coming back to our room to see the trash still piled up and the towels not refreshed, it was a bit of a bummer Then having to leave our room for a while so they could clean it that evening, left us feeling exhaustedDespite the minor inconveniences, I enjoyed our stay here and would return if we are ever in the area again!

Stayed here for 4 nights in April of 2022 Overall the experience was fine Hot breakfast was good — really nice that they had protein and not just carb stuff

Room was pretty clean Carpet in the hallways was a joke — some interior designer really took these people Sold them carpet with huge threadbare spots in a pattern — I guess they are going for a war zone look? I think that same designer must have sold this property the pictures/wallhangings in the rooms — what a laugh! People at front counter were very friendly and helpful I have stayed here at least a dozen times over the past 25 years Of course property used to be in really nice shape, but they have done a fair job in maintaining it Overall I’d rate it as a reasonable place to stay It is nice to have a separate room from bedroom and I will probably stay here again, depending on prices at comparable properties in the area

Matt Person

Honestly, was disappointed, was hoping it was kept up better This is in no way a reflection of the staff as they were all very friendlyThe place looks like it’s a bit run down and that’s own ownership, not the on hand staff

Room was fine but holy cow, I could hear the person in the next room snoring and I could hear their in bedroom TV The walls must be very thin and I’m guessing they probably heard me snoring at some point as wellThe breakfast looked good but I never had a chance to eat any of itThe water pressure in the shower was not very good, wished it was a lot strongerI stayed here for 3 nights and checked into the Embassy SuitesAgain, nothing against the staff, they get 5 stars, but the place needs better upkeep, especially when it cost $185/night

Mohamed Issa

Overall, I was pretty happy with my stay here My suite was clean and well furnished Also, the staff were very good whenever I needed help with something

The location has its pros and cons though On one hand, it’s somewhat tucked away, so your experience will approximate a stay in a tranquil suburban home – great if that’s what you’re looking for On the other hand, there aren’t many restaurants or shops available to you inside a 10 minute walk, so driving will become a necessity if your stay is a lengthy one

Nice place to stretch out and stay if you find yourself in the Portland area We got two days for a very reasonable price and were very pleased with the value Shoot, we probably put them in the red for our stay for all we eat at the scrumptious continental breakfast

Pool hours were a bit confusing and I think I ended up with about a dozen key cards after the previous eleven failing at one point or anotherof course this very well could have been operator error Super convenient having Target within tripping distance of the back door and they even offered complementary drinks for happy hour with our purchase My high compliments to the staff and management of this fine establishment

The hotel was a madhouse Kids were running all around the hotel doing whatever they wanted and there was no hotel staff around to keep things under control Kids pressed every button to stop the elevator on every floor so you had no choice but to ride it out or take the stairs

There was tape on the carpet, tape on the ceiling Cleanliness was questionableCheap precooked food was served for breakfast and the buffet was not restocked as it should have been The staff seemed to be more concerned with closing and shutting down than making sure guests were happyEvening reception was a joke Bagged chips and cheese? Insulting The line for drinks didn’t seem to move Stood in line 30 minutes and still never received my drinksThe bed was hard as a brick and linen had holes in itRequested a room cleaning and the front desk clerk told me I needed to request it the night before despite never telling me that during check inWe had to change rooms because someone left their dog in the hotel room and it barked for hoursNever staying here again

Michelle H

Avoid booking here if you have other optionsThere were multiple bus loads full of young people in the hotel who decided to stay up well past “quiet hours” to have a huge pizza party with music, singing and yelling within the central common area This was going on when we checked in around 8pm but didn’t stop

I called the front desk at 9pm and asked when the quiet hours would be enforced I was told by the front desk manager that security was “handling” the situation and it would be quiet soon for the 9pm quiet hours curfew Unfortunately, that never happened The noise actually grew louder as the crowd grew more raucous I kept calling the front desk when there was no hint of it calming down at 10:30pm, but no one bothered to pick up the phone at that point My call, and likely many others from angry and distressed guests (many who are parents of young kids like us), was sent to hold I actually considered calling the police to assist the incompetent staff to control the crowd, but decided Portland Police probably had more urgent issues to addressI understand that it can be hard to control rowdy and inconsiderate guests, but it appears that there were no attempts made to try In fact, according to the reviews, this is a common occurrence in this locationI never would have booked a stay in this location had I known the inferior quality control and complete lack of decorum and consideration for the other guestsI emailed the general manager and he (promptly) offered his “deepest regret and apology” I don’t want an apology I want to get what I paid for…a pleasant and comfortable hotel experience with my family

The Inn at Northrup Station delivered a home run in service, value, and amenities Here is what I enjoyed the most about my recent stay:*Awesome vibe throughout the hotel with inviting colors and artistic decor*Welcoming and personable front desk staff at check-in

*2 good-sized televisions in suite; perfect for my march madness viewing experience!*Wonderful specious kitchen with all the essentials (microwave, refrigerator, plates, bowls, cups etc)*An “out of this world” mattress 10/10 for comfort

However, I was really disappointed in their lack of environmental consideration at breakfast Great location with comfortable rooms and the free parking is a great bonus We had a double queen with balcony and there was plenty of room for the three of us

Beds are comfortable and I love having coffee, kettle, and fridge The decor is equal parts dated and a bit tacky, but the hotel is clean and friendly, so I can forgive the decor! However, I was really disappointed in their lack of environmental consideration at breakfast Milk is provided only in single serving plastic bottles which is utterly wasteful Dozens and dozens are opened and “recycled” (most people dumped in the trash) every morning Being there over Earth Day I was saddened that we (the general we here) still just are not thinking/caring/acting as we need to Also half and half in those stupid plastic single serve cups (and most people need 2 or 3) They have the counter space to easily add a hotel pan with ice and a pitcher of milk and half and half One morning I requested almond milk (kept behind the front desk) for my cereal which I had carried up to the desk Instead of pouring directly into my bowl, they poured into a plastic cup to hand to me These things just need to stop happening! Hello Portland, you had a heat wave of 115 degrees last summer, wake the f up!! I would stay here again but truly hope some changes are made

Jackie Young

Decor is fun, Beds are soComfy, full kitchen is a great feature, breakfast had everything we needed and more, staff is friendly, free parking and lastly it’s nicely located to food and the market We would definitely stay here again!👏 great job

I would not recommend this property to anyone, unless you enjoy lousy customer service, terrible parking and a two star experience at a substantially higher priceI booked through a service and prepaid for my room, the hotel double charged me When I checked in, I was given a parking pass and then on my second night I was told that I was going to have to pay $20 per day to park in the hotel parking lot

I left the hotel around noon, there were housekeeping staff everywhere in the halls, I went to the elevator and there was a large foil pan full of old food sitting on a small table between the elevators and a large black bag full of(what smelled like) good garbage sitting on the floor beneath it, when I returned to the hotel NINE hours later the pan had been moved across from the elevator onto a larger table and the trash was still sitting there as well I called down to the front desk and spoke to staff who admitted to having seen it there when he had “delivered something to a room” I asked him why he hadn’t removed it on his way back down and he said ” Well how am I suppose to do that if I’m delivering something to a room?” My answer was common sense so it doesn’t need to be repeated I paid $273 plus $20 for parking to see and smell rotting food and deal with rude staff I cancelled my reservation for tonight and am going to the Embassy Suites at Washington square If I wanted a one star motel experience I would have paid for a one star motel and at least received honest service I PAID for a three star motel experience and revived one star service Disappointing, dishonest and disgusting I won’t be back

Overall fantastic hotel My only complaints are small Our room did not have a bath, only a standing shower

However the shower was lovely The location is right next to dozens of amazing food carts, the max The thermostat worked (almost never happens for some reason at other hotels?) Hotel staff was fun and a little goofy in a good way but always super helpful My only other complaint is their TVs are a bit finnicky if you want to play your own stuff, ours didn’t work with chrome cast However there is a way to use HDMI cables on their TVs Good stay, worth the extra 15-20 you’ll pay at other hotels

Our room was nice and clean This is my second time staying at a Hilton Garden hotel and what I really like about their rooms is that they feel roomy, larger than they are, they are well designed in that they think about how a traveler would use the space, which I really appreciateFor example they have plenty of room and storage for your luggage and all your things, which I have found in many hotel rooms they offer space for one suitcase but nowhere to put a 2nd or more suitcases and your other items you travel with

So you feel crampedAlong with other convenient small things that make traveling easier in their roomsThey had a welcoming and tastefully done lobby with an eating/commons area to just chill outThey also have a great outdoor seating area with a fire-pit So for what I call a good value hotel I highly recommend themThe only thing that wasn’t great was their pillows They were flat and not soft So I was glad that I brought my own pillow

Great place Upscale rooms, plenty of parking Hotel Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous

Laundry facility could be upgraded and expanded to accommodate more than 1 or 2 guests at a time Excellent fitness room It was a long walk from one end of the hotel on the 3rd floor to the laundry room all the way on the other end of the hotel on the 1st floor Bit there are key-card controlled exits at each end for convenient ingress and egress from all sides of the hotel No vending machines, but there are sundry overpriced goodies available at a counter by the front desk There is a convenience store/gas station just up the block a bit, (closes at 11pm) within walking distance Lots of meeting rooms on the first floor Ice machines on every floor Overall a great experience, I would definitely recommend this hotel to any road-weary travelers Please note that they charge an additional $25 per night deposit on your reservation, required at check-in, so that added $150 to our week’s stay Don’t know how long it takes for your deposit to get refunded Beautiful hotel, inside and out We loved our Executive King Suite It was roomy and comfortable! And no problems booking with our service dog

Spend your money elsewhere I chose this specific location/Hilton because it offered room service and I was healing from a medical procedure and was trying not to leave my room as much as possible I found out after I checked in that they are not offering it, though it is still being advertised

I called corporate and opened a case regarding my complaint only to be treated poorly on the phone every time I would call to check in on it as though I had done something wrong Management at this hotel also “denied” any compensation for this complaint and claimed they notified me of this, but I never once heard from the hotel manager about this decision When I called corporate they said they couldn’t do anything and it was up to the manager at that location to decide, so I was transferred to the hotel front desk only to be told “there is not a manager on duty” and that there “might” be one in tomorrow?Honestly staying here felt like the McDonald’s of hotels There were big pieces of food on the box spring on the side of the mattress that I had to throw away myself and it was gross I also had called and asked for more bathroom products and never got any Had to call again the following day and “remind them” and then was told I had to come down to get them The bar menu is also extremely limited Don’t waste your money staying at this overpriced hotel- I may as well have stayed at a motel 6

The bistro is incredibly overpriced And often out of things They are also doing work on the roof between the hours of 7 and 5, I believe

I understand it is necessary, but definitely something to consider The bathroom door didn’t seem to fit very well and is difficult to close, the toilet moves and clinks when you sit on it as well I am assuming that was isolated situation and not occurring in all rooms Overall though, it’s comfortable and reasonably priced considering other options in the area

This hotel was just “OK” I was staying here alone and honestly it was a bit depressing There was nothing available downstairs so basically I had to get in my car and leave the hotel to even get a coffee

Being that I was finally without my kids, I was really looking forward to a lazy morning They had very little in the way of food available to purchase The rooms felt clean, but are super dark, the TV worked “so so” I will never stay here again

Overall not a terrible hotel when it comes to aesthetics, We have stayed here before so we felt inclined to do so again My main complaint is the cleanliness of the room The carpet was sticky and my sons feet were black! It was gross

The bathroom door didn’t latch, and the shower door wouldn’t stay closed We spent more money to stay there just to find myself regretting the decision Next time we visit we will be trying another hotel, there are many right near by!

Stayed here on Saturday June 4th We came down to Eugene from WA for my best freinds funeral unfortunately It is my birthday weekend so my wife wanted to salvage what she could of it and booked us a room here

When we arrived we were greeted by Morgan with so much warmth and kindness My wife had mentioned it was my birthday and they put out some decorations and a card and upgraded our roomA lot hotel claim to be dog friendly but act put out Not here! We had dog beds and toys sent up and Morgan even came out from behind front desk and greeted our ancient dog personallyEvery other staff member was also extremely kind and helpful I would also like to note that the rose festival was going on and they were extremely busy and still had the best customer service we have received at a hotel in PortlandThank you!

Stayed at the hotel Deluxe for a night with some girlfriends We were able to get early check-in Our room was fantastic

Easy Uber rides to Keller Auditorium where we saw Hamilton After the show, we got back to the hotel and had a drink at the Driftwood, I chose to have the bartender make me a drink of his choiceI’m not a drinker, so when I got my cocktail, it was a surprise how much I enjoyed said cocktail After drinks, we ended up walking a few blocks to the Melting Pot, had a fantastic dinner and was easily able to Uber back to the hotel We woke up the next morning and had breakfast downstairs at Gracie’sgreat staff, delicious food, convenient location, we just took the elevator down We were able to go back to our and relax before our very easy check-outAll in all, such a fabulous stay at a beautiful hotel Great atmosphere The front desk was helpful and inviting Looking forward to booking another girls night when we go to another show at Kellers

I was travelingSo, I called in to reserve a room I was told the price and the time I am supposed to check out

I traveled for 30 minutes in the middle of night to get there to find out it was all lie The price went up, the check out went down Is it a simple misunderstanding? Or a way to take advantage? Such a big hotel and The hotel might be good hotel to stay but in terms of hospitality, might not be the best choice
