Not entirely sure how this hotel has a 43 star rating on google The entire hotel smells terrible

The rooms smell terrible The do not accommodate young infants in need of a safe and comfortable place to sleep Pack-N-Plays, although considered “safe”, are not the same as cribsPhillis at the front desk is very kind and tried her very best to help accommodate us We understand the infant accommodations and smell are out of her controlDefinitely not a good place for young children if you care about them crawling around without concerns for cleanlinessMarriott should have better standards

Bethany was awesome After a long drive we stopped here and she made an amazing old fashioned! Also- despite the fact that the bar bites was closing in less than 10 minutes- she had no attitude about me ordering food to go Also- she stayed open later because firefighters were arriving to help with the wildfires and wanted food too! The front desk team was kind, rooms were clean, and the service was impeccable

Cheers to the manager of this property!

Great staff, clean & comfortable rooms What I’ve come to expect from HIE One issue we had was the AC not seeming to working properly

It was controlled from a wall unit and may have just needed a new thermostat or something, but it wouldn’t turn on until I set the temp to 65 If I set it any warmer it would turn off even though the room temp was reading 74-75 Anyways my big complaint and reason I wouldn’t stay here again is because of how much of a pain it was to get in and out of the location due to semis blocking the road trying to get into the pilot truck stop We sat between 5 and 10 minutes each time we entered or exited the hotel I know it’s not something the hotel can change, but it’s enough of a reason for me to choose the other holiday inn express in town next time I visit

Would stay here again Generally clean and comfortable Old building but interiors are quite new

The room was cleaned quite well, though more attention to detail is needed The larger surfaces, like the floor and countertops, were cleaned well However, the corners and ledges in the bathroom had some hair left over from the last guest The nightstands around the phone and clock could have used some more detailed cleaning too–I assume the cleaning staff cleaned quickly around the items on the nightstandThe room smelled clean and fresh too, which is not always the case in hotels in this price rangeThe bed was very clean and generally comfortable The mattress was a bit too soft, but I expect this of hotels in this price range

This is a brand new place and it is absolutely wonderful The rooms have two big screen TVs, very comfortable beds (I usually don’t sleep well in other beds than the one I have at home These were so comfortable I had no issues falling right to sleep! Like sleeping on a marshmallow!)!The bathrooms were also first rate! Nuker and a fridge should one be required! In the morning from 6:30 to 9am a delicious complimentary breakfast featuring omelettes or delicious fruits or cereals along with juices or coffee to get your day off to a good start

Should you care to exercise for a bit, there is a well stocked gym and pool! All this within walking range of several good places to eat and shop! One of the highlights of my trip!

I had such a great experience at this hotel The customer service was absolutely spot on I have come to expect in recent years, that housekeeping would be very limited

I returned to a spotless and refreshed room everyday, without even asking As a Bonvoy member, I was warmly received and room preferences acknowledged This property is fairly new, quiet and very clean Great gym as well! It is centrally located with several food options right across the parking lot This will be my stop from now on in Southern Oregon

Britnney Spann

The newest and cleanest most up to date hotel and rooms in the area Great customer service by front desk staff Kerwin, he was professional, very accommodating and took note of our family requirements This set the precedent to the rest of our stay

Our Sunday rate along with member and AAA discount Our room was well worth the price Complimentary free breakfast that’s actually quality is hard to come by so thank you to all the staff and their efforts Look forward to visiting again when passing by with my family There suites are actually nice

Wow! I had dinner here for St Paddy’s Day and their special was amazing Apparently their new head chef is very passionate about curing and specialty meats

This showed through in the delicious corned beef special that I ordered The service was spectacular with our server, Amanda, showing equal parts wit/humor and competency/timing The ambience was perfect and they had an amazing wine selection I had a peek at their brunch menu (drooling!) while I was there and that is definitely next up I can’t wait to come back…again and again!

We love everything of this restaurant Prime Rib was well cook and separated two plates for us to share We selected grill vegetables and mashed potatoes to match the meat, of course, with the suggestion of our wonderful server

The appetizer of oysters was delicious, beautifully tasting with the local Chardonnay They has a list of salads and offer half size, so you can try more than one at a meal Thanks for providing great food, excellent service with such a reasonable and affordable price range!❤️

Autumn O

Wow I haven’t had such an amazing, tender, well seasoned steak like I had tonight Well worth the money for the prime rib! It was so tender and juicy, just how it should be cooked

The risotto was cooked to perfection, creamy, and had the most leveled out taste for my pallet Whoever cooked steaks tonight, should cook steaks every single night of the week I really enjoyed my experience and will be coming back, soon Thank you all!

Great check-in service, had a upstairs room, but I was having outpatient procedure the next day and knew I couldn’t climb the stairs after my procedure The gal at the front desk was more than happy to accommodate me with a lower level room Room was nice and clean! Everything you need is there, microwave, refrigerator, TV, mini coffee maker, blow dryer, mini toiletries, iron and ironing board

They offer a great breakfast/brunch until 10 am A wonderful hot tub Check out was just as friendly I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel! Thank you for a great stay!

Claudia Espinoza

I really liked their service I stayed there for the night with my two puppies and we didn’t have any issues Staff was helpful, friendly and responsive

I arrived at around midnight and they helped me quickly The room was clean and quiet with access to a heater Parking was near the room and easily accessible Check out was quick

Sarah Robinson

The girls at the front desk Taylor, Nicole, and Monique were friendly, efficient, helpful, and provided excellent customer service! Also, Tony the manager was very accommodating during our stay at best western! I want to give a shout out to Jaunita, she was the best! Always asking if I needed anything, (my favorite house keeper) always friendly and did a thorough job, she deserves a raise Breakfast was good, pet friendly, and clean There’s a huge dog park across the street, and stores walking distance

Nice little walking area by the Bear Creek to enjoy

I’m a big Hilton fan and enjoyed my stay here The staff are super friendly and helpful The moment you walk in the front lobby you feel welcome and you notice the cleanliness

I also like the lemon and cucumber water available to customers If I do have one complaint it would be the bathroom sliding doors that allow no privacy when sharing a room with someone Doors don’t lock and gaps on both sides allow others to see in while someone is using it

Jani Franer

We had to make last-minute reservations to stay at the Hilton which was close to the Asante hospital in Medford Myself and two other sisters who had flown in, were there to say “goodbye” to another sister in the hospitalThe front desk staff went above and beyond anything we’ve ever experienced in Customer Service

Because of the circumstances and to make life a little more tolerable, they gave us breakfast coupons, ice cream sandwiches for our room, and offered to take us to the hospital if necessaryI can’t even imagine in this day and age that hotel staff could be so kind and helpful It is a rarityOur rooms were clean and comfortable and we had everything we neededThis is the hotel you want to stay in

K V

I wish I could give it 5 stars but the pillows in this hotel are the absolute worst Ive ever slept on They are flat as a pancake and not comfortable or supportive which made getting a good nights sleep impossible The rooms are beautiful however, very clean, and the beds are comfortable too

Its just those awful pillows! If your staying here, bring your own pillows!

We had the best two night stay at the TouVelle House James and Kristin were wonderful hosts, and we felt right at home The hotel is walkable to everything in Jacksonville (the cutest small town!), and they have bikes to borrow to get to the nearby wineries

The pool was a great set up, with lots of chairs and space The room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable The BEST part of the visit was the breakfast James cooked up such a wonderful spread that was different each morning It was really a great touch to our stay Highly recommend visiting TouVelle House!

Thecrazychic72

Such a wonderful experience, a beautiful house, and incredible breakfast! James is an amazing chef and you won’t believe the yummy food he makes every morning! The house is breath taking, the room was cute and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up! The town of Jacksonville is adorable and so welcoming Everyone is so nice, and the town is like a blast from the past We will most definitely be back, we are extremely happy with our stay 😊

Vaia Potter

Slept like a baby! Upon entering this beautiful historic house, I was immediately transported to another time and was greeted with a lovely tour There were fabric walls in my room and an extremely comfortable bed with down pillow top and pillows and fine linens making a very cozy room It was very quiet and I slept like a baby

Woke up and dipped in the hot tub, then enjoyed the hot sauna and cold dipped in the pool to make the experience officially spa like There was always coffee and treats available One of the owners James made me breakfast at my desired time and it was a delicious egg souffle! Looking out the big window in the dining area watching deer and having nice conversation with other guests over coffee and breakfast was extremely pleasant I loved my stay and so did my sweet pup companion who was very welcomed I’m so happy what a treat! Highly recommend

Nice room overlooking park (could Hear the stream, couldn’t See it & only after the event next door was over, around 2 am) )with balcony, right Next to the restaurant next door which got noisy with some kind of special event TV had bad reception & selection If we came there again, we’d make sure we had a room further from the restaurant! A great place within walking distance of all the downtown action

Kudos to Molly at the front desk, who seems unflappable & sincerely sweet and caring! 🤗👍

The reason I am giving Plaza Inn 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the breakfast The room was great The staff was helpful and professional

Location is great as it’s just a 5 minute walk to the plays The breakfast however is shabby at best You could easily purchase the same breakfast at a gas station Small packaged pastries, peeled hard boiled eggs that were packaged in Minnesota, tasteless bagels Really, if you’re not going to provide proper food, then don’t advertise that you provide breakfast It’s insulting The second morning of our stay we skipped the hotel breakfast and ate at a nearby cafe I don’t think we would stay here again

Jessica Pedigo

Beware, this hotel will charge you more than what they are advertising and will not respond to calls or emails to resolve the issue I stayed here January 1-3rd, the advertised price was $149 per night I was charged $249 per night, but didn’t realize the mistake until I was back home

I have called numerous times and left messages, I have emailed the manager with no response I have reported this business to the Better Business Bureau and am still waiting for a resolutionAs far as the room – the decor is ok We found a dirty towel behind the door and a raisin in one of the chairs, which tells me they are not as thorough as they should be with their cleaning The staff was friendly and helpfulIf this company returns my call and refunds what they overcharged me, I will update my review Until then, buyer beware

Clean, comfy, love the color scheme Really good breakfast, very nice staff, all of them The mineral waters in the room: excellent! Smell of sulfur doesn’t bother me, just tells me it’s real and natural

Even the tap water is mineral and the shower so if u want to drink normal water, either bring it yourself or go fill your water bottles at the front desk area Can’t wait to return! Oh yea and if you like wine, they have a good selection there Just stay away from the Mexican restaurant down the street, unfortunately not so good food

Ilen Zazueta-Hall

The not so good: if you are in a king suite you will hear absolutely everything your neighbors are doing at all hours Wifi and cell service are spottyThe wonderful: Amazing full breakfast, afternoon tea treats, fireplaces, spa and pool

Beautifully landscaped grounds with picturesque wildlife Helpful and friendly staffWe would definitely stay again!

I didn’t take any pictures, but the place is super nice It’s not a new hotel, but they’ve put in a ton of effort to keep the place looking great Very clean

Friendly staff We stayed in a suite, so there was a kitchenette, full fridge, tiny cooking range Lots of outlets Comfy beds Lots of seating The parking lot was very well lit Close to several restaurants, Costco, & a grocery store Nothing within walking distance, but 6 mins by car Grub hub delivers and there are snacks for purchase in the hotel And a great price We’ll definitely stay there again

Mike Nabers

Watch out when calling national number about park and fly My wife and I double confirmed that the rate we paid included park and fly for our trip This is standard practice for us as we fly often out of Medford airport and never had this problem at other hotels

Beware if you book park and fly online with “included” rate, it will cost you an extra $30 once you arrive

A PLAGUE ON ROOM 101: IT’S NOT FIT FOR HUMAN INHABITANTS! My family stayed in room 101, under the stairs next to the front desk The room smelled terrible when we entered it; we thought this was due to heat and smoke in the air from wildfires We turned on the air conditioner in hopes that the room would smell better, but it didn’t help

After taking our shoes off, we discovered that the carpet in the back room was wet: not damp, but wet My son walked on the carpet without socks and the bottom of his feet turned black Black! He put on socks and they were immediately wet on the bottom My husband notified the front desk about the carpet and they claimed it was probably damp due to wet towels that had been left on the floor This is clearly not the case We were offered another room, but it wasn’t a suite The main reason I chose this hotel was for the divided room and I didn’t want to change to a smaller room (we are a family of four with two teenagers and we all like a little privacy) We suffered through two nights in this swamp of a room My daughter woke up with a bug on her pillow and then discovered several other bugs on the curtains and the floor—no doubt they are attracted to the damp environment In terms of appearances, the room looked nice, but it is not habitable After two sleepless nights, we couldn’t wait to leave There are several buildings that make up the Bard’s Inn, so perhaps they are better

Linda Corey

This hotel is perfect for that getaway for Oregon Shakespeare Festival plays and enjoying the shops and restaurants of Ashland The rooms in the London building are very small, but beautifully furnished, and are close to the pool and breakfast room It is a quiet hotel with knowledgeable and gracious staff

Very nice and spacious room at a reasonable price The breakfast (microwavable egg + cheese + ham on an English muffin) was fine, but you had to get it from the front desk, and we went down to get it 3 or 4 times and there was nobody there Lots of guests milling about just like us

Suggest making it easier for guests to get the breakfast

Front desk staff was great! The room was not, the bed sheets had stains and made me itchThere was a hole in the ceiling above the shower, and someone slid my receipt under my door at 5 am waking me upI did not feel comfortable staying, and would have left after checking in if not for the weather

We are so happy to have found Elan We came for a concert at The Britt and Elan was just a beautiful walk away Also a block from delicious food and a charming Main Street

We were treated so well and we can’t say enough good things about the beautifully appointed suite we stayed in Almost want to keep it a secret …we’ll be back!

The Elan Guess Suites was such a wonderful highlight of my family’s road trip through Oregon The suite, Porto Fino, was spacious, light-filled and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed The owners were wonderful and we were greeted by deer on the porch

Beautiful property in a central location that allowed us to easily walk around town and accommodate our whole family We hope to come back again soon!

Julie Kahle

Our stay at Elan Guest Suites was amazing Cherie toured us through all three apartments, highlighting the subtle differences with each one 2 balconies here, a larger living area over there

The entire experience was like spending a weekend at a friend’s house The pictures online were very inviting but hardly convey the spaciousness of the rooms and the quality of the finishes Our 660 sq feet of living space felt much larger, I am sure the natural lighting in each room enhanced that feeling Every consideration was made to provide us with the most comfortable stay we could have imagined Every feature you would expect at home was available to us at Elan Guest Suites A variety of drinks were available when we arrived too This will be our home in Jacksonville every time we visit Duane and Cherie are the ultimate hosts, we thank you for your hospitality We cannot end with commenting on Franco He hustled our luggage to the top floor before we could get to our rooms

Hotel is interesting and in incredible shape with consistent themes We were on the eighth floor with wide views and with exception of occasional road noise it was very quiet The grounds are beautiful and something interesting is always waiting to be discovered

The location made it easy to wonder around town on foot Breakfast was nice Room service was available (though Larks was very underwhelming) The staff are thoroughly impressive I could spend a great deal of time here

Wonderful location, interesting history, great service, gracious and helpful staff I love the decor, especially the lobby, full of natural light, the cozy fire place a great place to hang out of a crisp evening and several other tastefully decorated nooks for reading or a good conversation with a friendly doggie at your feet This hotel is dog friendly

Complementary breakfast is well balanced, substantial and a very convenient plus; you can enjoy it sitting in the gallery mezzanine level overlooking the lobby The Queen Petite room is just enough for 1 person The bathroom could use a towel rail/ ring near the washbasin and shower, there are no options to hang towels where you need them in these areas There are no easily accessible power outlets in the room There is a coffee maker but to use it I had to scout for an outlet and heave the dresser aside to access the only outlet I could find – behind it! Same issue for charging my phone I highly recommend this hotel

If you’re into history and architecture or just good old stories you have to go visit this beautiful well kept hotel! We just grab a cup of coffee from the hotel restaurant on the ground floor and hung out in the lobby for a bit Was trying to be discreet didnt want to disturb the guests there Really in love with those extended ceiling fans… the spring blossom center piece was a very timely nice touch! There are many many historic buildings in the United States and it is good to know some are very well protected and taken care of! 🥳🥳👍👍

I travel for a living, 32 weeks this FY year alone, and never have I encountered a staff so polite, so professional yet personable it’s like talking with familyMandi and Cady absolutely made my trip Not only did they ensure my check in was quick and efficient they also booked additional stays on the spot!!!! Went above and beyond my expectations

I personally witnessed them doing the same for other guestsI will always stay here for future visits and tell all my associates and friends to do the sameHighly impressed

The fact that this hotel was built in 2019 is a big reason why it’s so good The rooms are in good condition, everything feels newThe complimentary breakfast is indeed good and above average

The parking isn’t great, there are transients that often walk through the parking lot and there are no cameras or security guards watching(don’t leave anything in your car) The views are not greatMy biggest problem with Holiday Inn Express hotels is the poor insulation between rooms which leads to lots of noise from your neighbors You want to be on the top floor or you will be hearing footsteps above you
