Great hotel! We came through for the shopping outlet! We will definitely be staying again in the very near future! It was definitely quite, and very clean! The breakfast was great! The only negative sides was that the pool was saltwater and they only have one waffle machine at the moment, so it can take some time to get waffles We also did call the property before hand to make sure we could pay cash and they said yes But they ended up needing to charge a card beforehand

But except for these small issues the stay was excellent!!!

This was our first stay at this Hampton Inn, but it won’t be our last! We were warmly welcomed & had an easy check in I asked for dinner ideas in the area & was given some good choices Our room was updated with the exception of a short toilet

Breakfast was well filled by the 2 ladies working to keep it all clean too It was very convenient on I-65

You can find this hotel tucked away just down the road from the main thoroughfare where a bunch of other hotels are located It is secluded from the main road and back behind some wooded sections, making it a nice break from the busyness of most hotels, but close enough to go and grab pretty much anything you need in 5 to 10 minutes I really enjoyed this part of the hotel

The staff was pleasant to work with The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable I slept comfortably, and without issue through the night, which is not something that happens all too often when I go to a hotelThere was only one thing I noticed that was weird The complimentary toiletries (shower gel/shampoo/conditioner) were the pump bottle kind that was mounted to the wall Being a bath taker, that didn’t work well for me, as I had to get out of the bath to reach up and grab soaps If I would have taken a shower it would have been no big dealAll in all not a bad stay at all, and for the price point, I would absolutely go back again Is it the most posh place? Nope Is it comfortable, and serves its purpose well? Absolutely!

Byron Aldrink

We tried to call the hotel directly to do a reservation and got routed to the global reservation center It was a nightmare The people at the hotel were wonderful and gave us a super good rate and a couple of free snack items for the inconvenience

The breakfast was limited at this time due to covid, but still very good The rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable

I was recently on a business trip and reserved a stay a few days in advance I called to check on my room that evening before my arrival and found out my reserved room had been given away, no one had contacted me to let me know They told me that they booked me a room at another local hotel at no charge

I wasn’t happy about it but tried to make the best of it When I arrived at the hotel they booked me, I discovered that it was not equal to or better than the Marriott room I had reserved, instead it was an old run down hotel that I refused to stay at I went to the trouble to book my own room instead about 20 minutes away, at about the same price, that was apart of the Bonvoy network To say it sucked trying to find a room just before midnight in a small city, would be an understatement, but thankfully I found one I called twice last week and talked to managers and told them the situation, and asked if they would reimburse me for the room like they promised they would for the hotel they reserved for me Both times I was told that the General Manager would get ahold of me, I still haven’t heard anything I have been a good customer and rewards member of the Marriott and their network of hotels, but I am appalled by the way I’ve been treated and ignored

The night desk person is RUDE We didn’t notice that breakfast didn’t begin until 6:30 Was looking into breakfast area when she BELLOWED, “can I help you, breakfast doesn’t start until 6:30

” Yelled at another guest also Said her computer system had been down all nightnot the guests problem Also informed us that breakfast was complementary & not our right The other guest was asking for a cup of hot water At this point all I said to her was that he wasn’t being rude Then she started on me Good morning Vietnam! I told her it was a wonderful way to start a morning Would have been nice to get a danish or fruit & coffee as our schedule wouldn’t permit us to wait until 6:30 Have never experienced an employee at any Marriott hotel like her At the very least she should receive training in communicating with the public

The company I interviewed at got me a reservation here for the night before the interview I had an extremely relaxing evening and recharged after my flight from Boston to Columbus The swimming pool was such a great gift of relaxation and also trying to stay active in the travels

We stayed at Fairfield Inn and Suites while we were in town for a baseball tournament I gave 4 stars for cleanliness/appearance Very clean, and this location has a modern look

My only complaint is the noise The opening and closing of doors on our floor seemed so loud and we could hear conversations from the parking lot well past midnight

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!0 STARS!!! This place is filled with COCKROACHES! The pictures online are not of this location We stayed in a recently renovated room which had a bad smell and very humid Upon first glance it wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t very clean

At about midnight I got up to use the bathroom, and found a cockroach in the bathroom We smashed it and walked it down to the lobby, and asked for a refund because we were leaving The lady at the front desk explained to us that this has been an ongoing problem, and they are infested with not only roaches, but BEDBUGS too! When we asked for a refund she said no, because she thinks it is “perfectly normal” for a hotel to be infested with roachesShe also explained that the breakfast room is infested as well, but said that Wyndham makes them serve it anywaysWhile in the lobby talking to her, we witnessed a huge cockroach crawl out of a room and towards us I then left the building just to witness ANOTHER HUGE COCKROACH crawling out of their buildingAlso I have a video of the receptionist talking about their huge infestation

steven plenxner

This place gave me ptsd! Found a roach in remodeled room, took roach to clerk and she said its normal there and bed bugs periodically While talking with clerk a huge Madagascar sized roach came out from breakfast area And seen another while heading out

Don’t waste your time or money! Whole vacation ruined and it was hell getting refund for 2nd night and was charged for the night we didn’t even sleep there

This is a choice hotel Normally we wouldn’t have stopped here but we had vehicle issues coming back from vacation The staff are professional and very friendly

The rooms are clean but small The breakfast was nice They are located very well with restaurants and shopping within walking distance I would recommend getting the king suite over the double queen You get more space this way and the couch that is in the suite pulls out into a queen bed

R B

This was our first stay in a Sleep Inn My wife and I stayed one night in March of 2022 We were walk in customers

Paula was at the desk Her service was friendly and efficient She upgraded our room without a request from us The room was spacious and clean The hot breakfast was good and the eating area was clean and staffed with a friendly woman named Lisa No other amenities were used by us at this hotel We would stay there again

Jim Smith

First visit, would stay again Reservation made online, very easy and obtained discount Friendly staff were very attentive, clean room, queen bed was comfortable, dog friendly facility (no noise while in room), hot breakfast served with polite attentive attendant, lake adjacent to facility for nice view, sufficient parking, great location for access to interstate and major various shopping and restaurants, prices reasonable

Rooms need updated and service was sub-par as I reserved a room for my brother and I, and when we arrived they put us in a single bed, knowing we were two brothers I asked for change and they changed me an additional $1120 and then changed our location to the other side of the building

I explained we both had campers and needed to be able to see them as the area didn’t seem to be the safest! So then I was told they only have single rooms on that side of the hotel, so I said fine, then credit me back the additional charges and one will sleep in the single room while the other sleeps in the camper So I spent the night without AC and paid $100 for the night as they never refunded me for the upcharge for the double room which we ended up not getting

Carlos Reyes

Don’t you use a card on this place I made a reservation online, they advertise free cancelation online and they don’t comply with that I had a family emergency and i canceled more than 24 hours before and i still got charged full price

I called and they said they can’t help me because they are a franchise I called Red Roof customer support and they said that they can’t help me either They better feel better scamming people that way Not staying at red roofs ever again

Okay… the hotel is gorgeous and clean, located near great food and has an incredibly kind staff, including a cute doggo who greets guests at the door My issue came when I laid down to sleep and realized that there’s a train track that runs the length of the hotel- as a light sleeper this was bad news for me I counted 4 trains that came through the one night I stayed

I would not recommend for light sleepers

Very nice hotel Had a nice bar for after hours Had a nice breakfast lounge areas that allowed colleagues to gather and work collaboratively

Rooms were clean and trendy Front desk was very helpful in helping us get around The hotel was right off the highway and many eating spots in walking distance Just a little drive away was the town center (or downtown) area with lots of good options as well

Owen Missen

I really like the hotel and interior & rooms However, the bathroom vent runs continuously I mentioned it to the front desk and they said it would turn off as it is on a sensor

I have not even used it yet, and it was running since I checked in When leaving an hour in, they sent one person to look at it, but came back several hours later and it is still running Looks like I’ll be staying and trying to sleep with the vent running all night longAs much as I like the room & hotel overall, the vent running (and it’s loud!) constantly is not acceptable for a $200 a night room Front desk was pleasant on the issue, but never resolved (could have gave me another room, credit, etc) I would recommend staying elsewhere in the area

We loved it there so much that we thought about staying a second day just to relax there!! I highly recommend staying here

When I checked in I felt the staff was rude and overwhelmed with the 2 people checking in I asked some questions and they did not have answers for me If you live in the area you should be able to help a traveler who is staying at your hotel out, since they don’t know the area

It was noisy with other travelers being rude Not the hotels problemBreakfast was good coffee was very yummy The people who handled that was greatThe bathtub had soap scumb in itStaff was overwhelmed

Lil Black Bear Inn is a big, cute house on a quiet hill by the woods We had a nice room with a view of the woods There were also little seating areas outside in various areas of the property to sit, relax, and enjoy the surrounding nature

The room was really clean and comfortable and it had everything we needed The owner, Jim, was really cool and helpful The breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed eating breakfast with other guests and getting to know the other folks staying there We would definitely go there again and would recommend Lil Black Bear Inn to other travelers

susie mattingly

Not their fault be we are disabled and the stairs were steep and dangerous Their ramp was ok in places and steeper in 2 ramps – multi level ramps If we had been 25 rather than 75 it all would have been a snap! Our 3rd person didn’t care for the communal eating but we loved it

Grounds were very nice I had to park in back because there were only enough parking for 6 When we came back from dinner one of the cars took up 2 places – so we had to park in back I guess both of our disabled plates meant nothing I would recommend except to elderly

Very nice hotel with extremely friendly staff The pool looked very inviting But our room had an oversized jacuzzi tub

The jets weren’t awesome but it felt great after a long day driving And the location was awesome! Right next to an outlet mall Unfortunately the stores closed just as we arrived There were a lot of restaurants and stores in the vicinity as well I will try to arrive sooner next time!

Angelia Collier

When I arrived at the hotel there was no one at the front desk There was no bell to alert someone of my arrival and there was no note indicating when someone would be at the front desk When the attendant arrived at the front desk, I had already been waiting at least 10 minutes

She did not apologize for the delay, instead she proceeded to say that she had to take care of something for another guest and she was only gone 5 minutes I said ma’am I have been here longer than 5 minutes, and there was another guest waiting I even looked up the phone number and called the front desk to try to reach someone The attendant stated that she wasn’t going to argue with me, asked my name, then handed me a key I came to the front desk 2 more times after checking in and no one was at the front desk This was the worst customer service experience I have had a hotel

Stayed during covid; so didn’t get room service + other things that are usually offered Still enjoyed our time They were remodeling while we were there, but it wasn’t too bad

We stayed for mother’s day, so I could go shopping at Edinburgh outlet mall! Room was clean and customer service was great! Highly recommend! Hope to be back soon!!

Wonderful room, it was comfy staff friendly inviting and the restaurant inside is amazing and their breakfast is top notch My only complaint is the pillows were flat and when I made my reservation they booked the wrong room be through when you are reserving your room I told them I wanted the big tub with jets (meaning more than one person) separate from the shower and bed

I received the room with a jetted tub for one person, nice but not what I wanted Lesson learned!
