I stayed at this hotel before, and I gave 5 stars for that stayI am giving 5 starts again for my stay this time, tooEveryone was very friendly and responded to my request fully and quickly

When I made a reservation directly with the hotel, the operator who answered my phone was very helpful, explaining various discounts that were available to me and responded fully to the questions I hadUpon check in, the room assigned to me did not have a bath tab, and when I requested the room be changed to a room with bath tub, the receptionist was very helpful and accommodated my requestWhen I requested additional amenities, room cleaning service responded quicklyThis is a great hotel!

A wonderful hotel elegantly appointed with a fantastic staff In the past I have stayed many times as close to Disneyland as possible

I thought I would try something different this time and was so pleasantly surprised The problem with Disneyland hotels is that the closer you are to the park the less the hotel cares about quality and you Ayers is close enough for ART and yet far enough away to be nice And I mean very nice It has the best quality to price ratio of any hotel I’ve stayed in next to the parks We will be back!

Russell Betts

Excellent stay from check-in to check-out Super friendly staff And the room was immaculate, super clean

Mattress very comfortable Air in the room very clean The furniture is good quality and in very good condition and the room has a microwave and fridge that we needed The restaurant has really good food, breakfast was free but we had supper also and it was very good Pool area is perfect with nearby restroom, towels and the pool and hot tub very clean We enjoyed the pool Great value Just a perfect stay

Had a nice view from my room Hotel is under construction and should look great when finished What a perfect location

The renovation was probably due for a long time Looks like a new pool also being built New outdoor facilities One tower has already been repainted and you can see a big difference It is a big hotel to redo so hopefully it will be done in the next six to twelve months Probably also have some new restaurants to compete with fashion island

What a wonderful hotel for the business traveler From the moment I checked in I was impressed with the friendly front desk staff and then the spacious and very well designed room The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the workspace was ample with plenty of outlets and room for my laptop and everything else I needed

My only complaint is that the desk chair was a bit hard Otherwise I loved the room and the hotel and would gladly stay there again

Heidi Pure

Really friendly front office staff during the day time and super helpful BUT… the cons are big:1 Carpet is so old and grimy you don’t want to walk on it with bare feet2

The chairs are completely worn out and desperately need replacing3 The guy at the front desk in the evenings and nights is terrible – Matt He is rude, unhelpful, and takes no responsibility for anything Leaking pipe with water all over the floor? Too bad- “this is not a full service hotel so just throw towels down until the morning ” Noisy drunk party with screaming late at night? Too bad, “There is nothing I can do, I’m just at the front desk” His attitude is terrible and makes you wonder how they can charge SO much while hiring such a horrific staff memberIf it wasn’t for this I would give a higher rating, but a dirty carpet, worn out furniture, lack of sleep, issues with the room, and downright rudeness made this a place one we would never recommend to anyone

Jill M

The hotel claims that they have their full breakfast back up and running, but it is not They no longer have any hot protein options They serve pre-packaged items which are microwaved and placed in the warmer in the plastic, cereal, pre-packaged hard boiled eggs that are rubbery, a few pastries, apples, juice, coffee and milk

Definitely more of a continental breakfast They have discontinued their evening receptions as well This Residence Inn is among the many businesses that use the pandemic as an excuse to cut back the services they offer and still expect to charge as much or more for the reduced services As a Lifetime Platinum reward member, I was truly disappointed in this Residence Inn

Larry Delaney

Incompetence runs from front desk, housekeeping directly to management’s office We were charged an extra three weeks for a stay after we had checked out We provided ample data that we had vacated the property and the stay had ended, but the manager refused to refund the additional $3,200 we were unjustifiably charged

BonVoy was useless in resolving the situation Word to the wise: Make sure you shout to the rooftops when you check out If not, you’ll be charged until your credit card expires! Unfortunately, the last time we’ll see The Residence Inn Spectrum again will be in Small Claims court

This is a beautiful resort – great for couples and families We had a wonderful villa with an ocean view My only issue was the lighting in the master shower – non-existant! There was a light (VERY dim) in the room, but not in the shower

But the amenities were many including several pools and all kinds of activities, both planned and independent This might become an annual trip for us!

Mai b

Well, I found a bug crawling out of the sink Also, the people at the front desk were quite rude It was my birthday weekend, and we requested the ocean view room, which they stated upon arrival was no longer available

Also, I found a toothpick on the floor in the kitchen Perhaps the previous guest had their fill literally Also, the toilet made funny noises saying swoosh and shhh Then the man upstairs was making so much noise I asked could I move my room, and they said we typically don’t move a party to another room once they have checked in For the love of whoever, please don’t stay in the 1000 or 2000 villas for that matter Please don’t believe it’s a new property lie because it isn’t All jokes aside, please stay at another hotel unless you want to deal with snarky remarks, unclean floors, and slow trolleys I might suggest Pelican Resort and Golf Club a beautiful hotel Far better service and more amenities

Ryan bauman

This is by far one of the best vacation spots Fantastic location just across from the beach The rooms are stocked well with all the amenities any family would need

Customer service is great and attentive to all guests needs The property offers a shuttle to the beach, Laguna, and Newport There are daily activities offered for all ages including ping pong, yoga, exercise classes, movies, and s’mores gatherings The pools are incredible The kids pool is great for all ages and even includes a small water park with two slides I’m definitely going back and highly recommend this property for your next vacation

My husband and I went to the Hyatt Regency New Port Beach last night to watch Christopher Cross for the Summer Concert Series The drive was beautiful The line to enter the hotel has to be more organized

There was traffic coming from three directions, but the gentleman was friendly and led us to the parking lot The gentleman that was doing the parking fees was friendly and very helpful $30 parking fee for the hotel Staff inside were friendly and helped my husband and I to where the concert was The gentleman putting the wristbands on was friendly, professional and we enjoyed the small talk with him A nice woman helped us find our seats The seats were uncomfortable, and very tight where we were sitting A nice couple we sat by was fun to talk too Christopher Cross did not come out until almost 8:30pm, when he was scheduled to come out at 7:30pm There was another artist singing , and it was relaxing and enjoyable to hearWhile waiting for Christopher Cross to come out, there was this drunk woman arguing with this man about a seat, and a bit of drama irrupted, but they solved it quicklyWhen Christopher Cross came out, he seemed like he really didn’t want to be there He didn’t say anything, and started singing I was disappointed to not hear him singing “Alright “ His back up singers did more Would of loved to hear him, because it’s one of his best songs I enjoyBut then he sang my favorite, “ Never be the same, “ Sailing, “Swept away, and “Arthur’s theme” Loved his new songs, and his humor during the concertChristopher Cross is a legend, and for my husband and I to see him is absolutely a gift Gorgeous weather coming out, and throughout the concert Clean, elegant bathrooms Not a line or long waitHighly recommend to get an aisle seat if coming We sat in the middle, very close to Christopher Cross Except for this man’s big blow pop head in front of me, then when he got up, there was another person with a big Homer Simpson head blocking my view of Christopher CrossA beautiful, elegant atmosphere Very fancy, and Summery I rated 3 because of the friendly, professional staff, Friendly parking workers, beautiful, clean bathrooms, gorgeous weather, beautiful, elegant atmosphere everywhere around us, friendly, fun couple we sat by, easy access and fast exit out of the parking lot The only things was the traffic coming into the hotel should have two lanes to let more event customers in quicker instead of blocking traffic, the seats, those hideous drunk people, Christopher Cross coming out late, and him not singing “ Alright” Other than that, my husband and I were very pleased with this lovely, dazzling, and elegant hotelThank you for welcoming us We will be back again for another Summer Concert Series in the future

Twee Wong

No more excuses for not going out to workout The property is very family oriented All the staff are nice and friendly I highly recommend this property to all my friends

Room sucked Event was greatThe bed was honestly no better than a blanket on the floor and the pillows were flatter than a towel

The refrigerator was not cold enough to keep our already cold drinks cold Lights on the mirror flickered Water pressure in the shower was very lowIn the cafe in the lobby, the freezer wasn’t cold enough to keep the ice cream frozen so they were all meltedHowever, the view was nice and the room was clean and visually very pleasantNot worth a $200+ a night stay Especially when we have to also pay for parkingWith that being said, we hosted a celebration of life for my little sister and the event space was absolutely perfect Noel and the event team helped us immensely and their sense of urgency was more than appreciated They had a great audio/visual set up and were more than helpful in setting it up for us The food (a few grazing boards that we picked) was well prepared and beautifully displayed We choose to have a cash bar there and the drinks were very nice, the wine was great, and the bartender was very kind They even made a point to ask what color my sister liked for the table covers

Tania Campbell

Sadly Im giving this review due to the poor customer service in addressing our concerns during our stay We specifically booked this hotel to use the pool and the day we arrived the pool area was being painted, so what should have been a nice peaceful pool day was ruined by construction I understand these updates are necessary for upkeep and the hotel was very nice, but the hotel did not disclose the construction on their booking page and when I brought my concerns up to the front desk I was told I should have called and checked ahead of time

This was rude and makes no sense as usually you book online to avoid having to call hotels directly Sadly the lack of addressing my concerns has lead to this poor review as the hotel was nice and clean, but when you are specifically staying somewhere to use the amenities and you can’t use them you are not getting what you paid for

Perry Tobin

Very deceptive and poor customer service After making reservation, I tried to modify reservation (online and via phone) and they were too busy When I checked in, I explained my change (one day out of four)

They told me I was all set When I checked out, they still wanted charge me for the extra day Not only did they want to charge me for the day, but they also wanted to check me out to re rent the room Calling Hilton corporate was no help1 – Could not change reservation the same day I made it2 – They lied when I checked in, and told me reservation was modified3 – Corporate would not accommodate, even for a creditBottomline – they don’t care about their customers, go elsewhere

We loved staying here and had no issues! Room was clean and had plenty of space, beds were comfy, staff was helpful, and the breakfast was delicious As a traveler on a budget, I have stayed in a lot of Super 8s and Motel 6s, and this was a huge step up from that for a very good price The pool and jacuzzi were great, we had them to ourselves on a Sunday night and it was lovely

The breakfast was hot and delicious, and the staff stayed really on top of making sure all the breakfast items were refilled/stocked The couch in our room pulled out to be a bed, and it was not nearly as comfy as the beds, but worked great for our group of 3 adults who each wanted our own bed space Parking was easy We would definitely stay here again

Alex Hyer

I’d say everything here is pretty good There’s a pool and spa as well as a pretty good breakfast overall They deserve a solid 5 stars for service

One of our rooms had some condensation dripping from the A/C which is above the room They immediately checked on it and—when they determined they wouldn’t be able to fix it immediately—switched us to the closest room they could find without hesitation Great staff overall!

California Jones

It’s decent A bit stale smelling Breakfast was good

Won’t touch the pool or jacuzzi here but jacuzzi doesn’t look bad Room was clean Carpet was not the best; wore sandals because I didn’t trust it Shower was clean and room had a balcony Why can’t we smoke in hotels like this? It’s 2022 and they need to stop acting like the place already smells like roses(it doesn’t) Weight room open 24 hours which was Awesome and clean But the door doesn’t lock; I’d hate for my girl to go there alone… Out of the 3 25-3-star hotels in this area, this was the cheapest and feels like it

The staff were really friendly and polite We checked in a little after 4 and got a room that had the Disney fireworks view at night The room was spacious

It did had a strong smell when we walked in but figured it was from the cleaning in the bathroom The room is outdated but still functional as the beds were fine Wish there was a mini fridge in the room along with a fan in the bathroom The location overall was a nice spot as it is close to the Orange outlet mallCookies were delicious of course and they were nice to provide more when asking We would probably stay here again next time Hopefully by then they update the rooms

Shannen Stenerson

Nice hotel, rooms a but dated but overall great stay Hotel has parking at additional price Restaurant on site, Starbucks kiosk inside as well

Meeting room was well set up Hotel bar was busy, nice to see during these times Staff was friendly and went out of way to help Lobby is spacious and great spot to hang out Walking distance to orange outlets, and one exit away from downtown Disney

Justin Schultz

Our stay at the Doubletree was thoroughly disappointing I had 2 rooms for four nights and I would say it was the single worst stay I’ve ever had at a Hilton property Between work and personal travel I spend roughly 50 nights a year in hotels across North America so I have exposure to a variety of different properties

The staff at this particular hotel would be best described as cordial but apathetic It was a strange experience for me and completely out of step with other Hilton propertiesThere appears to be ongoing investment at the property and it is needed! The office chair in one of my rooms was worn to the point where there were holes through the seat with hardware sticking through! The shower would sometimes supply only hot water making showering impossible, fixtures in different public places were damaged and falling off the walls The pool was dirtyThe staff appeared to be in another world at times, for example: when I checked in my two different rooms I went through the full set of questions twice, presented my ID twice; not a big deal but very strange explaining a short time apart that I still don’t have a vehicle to park……?The most frustrating part of the whole stay was certainly related to the cleaning of one of our rooms We checked in Wednesday and asked for our room to be cleaned Thursday and Saturday We were out Thursday morning and stopped by our room early afternoon and it had not been cleaned so we went to the front desk to confirm it was booked, which they assured us it was Our room did not get cleaned that day We then stopped by the front desk Friday morning to ask that the room be cleaned as it was missed the day before, again we were assured it would be addressed Again as we returned in the evening nothing had been done At this point I spoke to the manager on duty and expressed that I felt this was unacceptable, they let me know they had no one to clean the room, there was nothing to be done, and there would be no consideration on my bill I also emailed the GM of the facility about our stay and have received no response Our room did get cleaned Saturday…… finallyI give this hotel 2 stars only because of location (walking distance to outlet mall and Angel’s Field) otherwise it would be one for sureFind another option, the room rate and brand of this hotel had me expecting a far better experience than what I had

It presents a fancy place when you 1’st walk in It’s an older hotel, room needed minor fixes, we just did without Bathroom door would not lock, and sliding door track was held down with tape and came up with use

The beds are good come with 4 pillows and comfortable Nice cold fridge, but no microwave It was fine for our needs, and they accept pets at $50 a night

Susan Ranahan

About 80 women were there for a celebratory luncheon The service was outstanding and all did an excellent job attending to so many with so few The food was served hot and fresh, and the servings were not skimpy

Taste and presentation were great! There was a lot going on and timing was important The microphones worked, the table set up was lovely and it was a very enjoyable time

Brian C

Unfortunately, didn’t even get the opportunity to stay here Had a family emergency and needed a room for the night For some reason the website was allowing us to book any room, so when I called to book the room, I was quoted significantly higher than their own site

When I asked why, she said we needed to book on the site to get that price, even though I explained that the site wasn’t working Again she said we needed to book on the site and to have a nice dayclick Hopefully they will get their site working so others won’t run into the same experience

this was a great hotel Only stayed two nights so we didn’t get to use the amenities but the pool & hot tub looked great & the inside of the hotel was clean The bed was comfortable & the rooms were in good condition

Nothing too fancy but definitely does job if you’re just out exploring all day Room service was friendly They have a Starbucks right in the lobby along with a bar & restaurant Would stay here again!

Alex Cuevas

This is my default hotel that I go to when I’m in the area They charge a lot for the parking which doesn’t seem to make sense but I guess it’s pretty standard They have a nice bar and they have a nice pool

The rooms are standard that I have experience for the Hilton brand It’s not a super fancy hotel but it’s a good place to stay I think I’m giving it a three-star only because I’m annoyed about how much the parking costs If you take away the parking aspect then it’s a four star

Luis Yudice

It used to be a great place to stay but since COVID, they’ve cut their services and support They still charge you full price but do not clean your room daily You have to ask for cleaning and they don’t always do it

On this stay, they told me they don’t clean rooms on this day so why are you charging me full price Just another way this company is increasing their profits while taking services away from you Also, they cut their housekeeping staff so their the ones keeping all the profit Would recommend staying somewhere else where they take better care of their guest and employees

The added bonus was my coffee in the morning that I bought from the downstairs lobby coffee bar was piping hot! The small things make a difference thank you for a great stay

The best thing about the hotel is the staff ; they are super and helpful, friendly and smiling Rooms are nice specially the ones with view on the pool Cleanliness is good ; corridors and backyard but we stayed for four days , they didn’t clean at all although We talk that our room need 2 b cleaned many times

location is good for people want to be away for a while , to sit , relax , read or write But not for tourists who want fun , No fun around except Shopping 😅😅; Spectrum Mall Don’t expect a porter to carry your bags , you will carry them by yourself One great point: there’s a market inside

Theodore

Pros: Great location Irvine Spectrum Center is just 5 minutes walk far from the hotel Parking is free for the first 20 minutes but after that, it costs you $16 a day

The room was clean and housekeeping was satisfying Starbucks is in the lobby The front desk staffs were very nice and pleasantCons: No complimentary water Dining is not available in lunch time Starbucks’s staffs were very annoying and rude, seriously They pretended not to understand what I spoke Definitely you would be better off going to another Starbucks in another Marriott or Irvine Spectrum Center The hotel also charged me for parking that I didn’t use

The staff is GREAT! I want to make special mention of Lupe Martinez at front desk, my family’s travel plans were constantly changing, our group size kept growing daily and she and her co-workers went above and beyond to accommodate our needs When we needed a bigger room they allowed us to move early in the morning without that horrible gap between check out and check in Extra bedding and towels given no hassle, and the cleaning crew…ON TOP OF THINGS! Smells clean, feels clean, and you see them constantly sanitizing and cleaning the common areas throughout the day

Free breakfast and all rooms have kitchenettes Cozy courtyard area for gatherings Love it here would def stay again

This was a lovely hotel with amazing amenities The fitness center is free to use if you’re staying at the hotel, and it’s not your standard hotel gym The fitness center is essentially its own full blown gym, with a great pool to boot

Rooms are clean with a lot of space The only thing that was off was the cleaning staff kept asking when we were leaving so they can clean the room despite us having late checkout

Rodney Ibrahim

Stayed 3 nights here while in town for some meetings Everyone in the area knows about this hotel because of the gym which is attached to the hotel The hotel is in a good area with a parking garage next door which is $27 a day

Rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds However there a few things that could use improvement First, the bathroom was very dimly lit Would help if there was a light in the actual shower Also there was no safe in the room There may be one in the room but I didn’t see oneIf you’re a gym person, the gym is legit Has most types of equipment along with nice locker room with steam, sauna, and jacuzzi They also have a nice lap pool outsideThe bar and restaurant are good and there is happy hour starting around 4 which is fun to take advantage of The food at the restaurant was actually quite good If I’m in the area I’ll be back here

I have no patience with being charged full price and then getting the “no service” speech upon check in! They claim staffing issues…Additionally, I noticed that the two complimentary waters that come with every Marriott property on planet earth were not in my room I called the front desk and they said I had to come down to get them Irritating, but fine

But then it was like trying to convince a toddler to share their Tonka truck when I asked for more water since there was no daily service to replenish them He told me I could come back to the lobby and refill them at the water stationLook… I hate giving bad reviews Most of mine are positive However, my recent streak with Marriott brands is making me question my loyalty!Anyway… this is a great gym with a waterless hotel with no service attached… the tacos were pretty good too…

Had a wonderful time at this hotel! Great view from the window Front desk was friendly Great location close to beach and airport

Airport Shuttle was free and timely, and the driver was SO nice and friendly! They finished the lobby construction while I was visiting, and it looks wonderful Still have construction going on restaurant and bar One complaint: walls of the hotel are quite thin

Bill and the staff are amazing people They go above and beyond to ensure all the guest needs are met Bill sent Champagne to room as a gift to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday

The kind gesture was not necessary but it was very appreciated The rooms are modern, spacious and clean The gym and pool area are very well maintained and cleaned properly I’m excited to see what else they are adding to the hotel with current construction, we will definitely return

Not sure why there is a thread of bad reviews but I love this place This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at The property is INSANELY well kept and the staff was super friendly

The restaurant/bar is currently closed for renovations but will be open in two weeks There is a marketplace with a variety of adult beverages, food, and snacks that can be charged to the room Parking is $25 a night but it’s well worth the extra price with how amazing the property is Very clean and welcoming room 10 stars!

The hotel is in a convenient location The front desk team was friendly at check inThe service leaves a lot to be desired throughout the rest of the hotel

Much of the hotel is still closed or at minimal operation levels Room service can only offer coffee cups and plastic to-go cups for champagne and wineWe were looking forward to the TopGolf Suite and M Lounge, neither were open upon our arrival We were informed that that the TopGolf Suite would be closed on Sunday and Monday

Jon Saruman

Beautiful lobby, clean rooms, nice pool, and convenient location to SNA, but a quiet sleep is totally dependent on your neighbors as the walls are almost comedically thin— especially when your room has an adjoining doorMy neighbors enjoyed cannabis that was so pungent I could taste it well into the night, and they had equally little concern for their neighbors in regards to noiseOverall nice, but don’t come expecting solitude!Overall n

The front desk was very caringI was disappointed, a Salsa dance event (party) took over the entire pool and hot tub area It was LOUD and crowded

The street tacos were absolutely terrible Never would have thought street tacos at a Salsa party could be that badThis hotel is more for travelers and not to relax We spent our free time walking around the local area

This hotel is beautiful, relaxing and feels like a resort Absolutely love it! The rooms are comfortable with hardwood floors (a plus for the allergies), plenty of adjustable lighting and the bathroom was a bliss!Wonderful stay 5 minutes from my house Sometimes you need a change of scenery and this hotel provided the rejuvenation I was seeking

Josh A

Modern, attractive hotel rooms Valet, front desk, and housekeeping services were greatThe bars get extremely busy, and the hotel quite crowded

The bartenders were quick to serve some folk, but others were waiting more than 30 minutes to place an order for a drink – even on a Thursday nightIf you’re looking for modern, updated rooms and don’t mind the price, I recommend the Marriott Irvine Spectrum highly

Beka Walker

This hotel is one of the worst Marriott properties I’ve ever been to I have stayed at Marriott’s my entire life and this one looked great in photos but upon arriving the entire experience was horrible Aesthetically it looks amazing but everything else is pretty bad

It started when I showed up to check in to my executive suite that I booked over the phone with Marriott weeks ago The front desk told me that I wasn’t checking in until the next day and even after showing them my booking confirmation with the dates they told me they didn’t have a room for me I spoke with the manager and she didn’t even offer a suggestion until after I pushed for 20 minutes about how they needed to fix their mistake and provide my family with a place to stay She ended up giving us a free night after not much help at the beginning but then when we got to the smaller suite—there were leftovers in the fridge, no coffee maker, and little cutlery provided in the full kitchen area 1 fork and 2 spoonsThere were no cleaning supplies or extra blankets All around a bad experience for paying over $700 a night for a suite with a full kitchen Basically a sink with two seats and a fridge The bathroom doors also wouldn’t stay closed Getting a luggage cart was a jokeI would not recommend staying hereThey do have a Starbucks downstairs which is a plus That’s the one positive

Way too many other better options nearby This place had some of the thinnest walls I’ve experienced at a hotel in Irvine, and I’ve stayed at many of them in the area Woken up in the middle of the night by people simply walking in the hallway

Woken up in the morning by people next door simply talking Hearing every movement above and next to you is absolutely unacceptable in a hotel charging $200-250 a night They make these hotels look nice inside but build them to Super 8 quality and it shows Will be striking this one off our list for sure Absolutely not worth it

Meg White

Parking was not awesome $25 a day for a parking garage down the street Check in lady was less than friendly and couldn’t even break a bill for a valet tip

Breakfast buffet was not available due to an athletic team there No sign up or notification breakfast wouldn’t be available Room was super small and minimalist It was fine Best part of our stay was Candace- the friendliest and best personality of a valet ever She should run the place -with her amazing communication skills-as the women we encountered at the front desk were incredibly unfriendly and not helpful Lots of options in this area Not sure if I’d stay again

Joe Sanders

Hotel overall is nice, good service from front desk and valetWalls between rooms are super thin where you can hear everythingDoors have a gap where you can hear everything going on in the hallways

Stayed a week and never had housekeeping bring fresh towels, body wash ran out on my second dayOnly way to get serviced is to stop them in the hallwayFor the price I would have rather stayed at a holiday innIf youre looking for a hotel look elsewhere
