From the moment we entered this hotel we felt a homely atmosphere Pleasant staff welcomed us and very soon we already had a room Everything is so clean, tidy and beautiful

Stayed here for the girls softball World Series checked out early because it was not worth the stayThis was the least pleasant stay at a hotel in a really long time Hotel staff was rude, carpet and hallways smelled very dirty, pool was murky and not able to see to the bottom, when asked for towels for the pool at the front desk we were told we need to use our shower towels from our room, latch lock in room was hanging from the wall front desk advised maintenance would come and fix and none ever showed up, room was never cleaned during the stay, for breakfast it was not continental whatsoever you have to stand in a line to tell one employee what you want then wait for her to give it to you, list of items on table that stated were available were not and waited in this line for 30 min just to get tacos and juice

I would have left a decent review, however my experience went south very quickly If a guest has a “do not disturb” tag on their door… Why is housekeeping trying to enter BEFORE 10am? I was in the shower

I also drive over night for work and had I have been still napping I would have been even more upset When I asked the front desk the little girl said “not to be rude but can you let me speak before speaking” I guess I interrupted her when she said “they were just checking” and I said “they shouldn’t be checking for anything at that time with a DND sign on the door” Poor customer respect!!!!!

Cons – The walls are so thin you can hear literally everything in the room next to yours The breakfast is terrible The waffle maker has been broken since I got here and they aren’t fixing it

The daily menu is eggs which have the consistency of cheese curds and sausage that doesn’t seem cooked in the middle The pool has been drained as well as the hot tub The cleaning schedule is inconsistent Every time I’ve had my room cleaned it’s been due to a request, not simply something that’s done The weight room is missing several sets of free weights and it’s very tiny More than one person at a time is a crowd The showers run out of hot water in about 5 minutes The faucet on the bath tub was so encrusted with sediment that it took a pair of plyers to open it to the shower settingPros – The suite rooms are spacious and the internet speed is adequateWhen you stay at a Marriott you expect a level of quality that is really lacking here I’d avoid this one especially if you’re requiring an extended stay

The staff here are amazing Out of many and many hotels I have stayed at, they LOVE their jobs, I have NEVER seen them unhappy, and they will work with you to solve any problem they can I am absolutely AMAZED at the staff here

Management or even corporate if you are listening – GET THESE PEOPLE A RAISE or for them to manage another location since most of the hotel staff I meet are grumpy lumps For a review – Hotel is nice, it is what you expect from a renovated Fairfield Inn Nice pool, Happy Hour is great (Mondays through Thursdays), rooms are clean with two TVs and a selection of premium TV channels No complaints against the hotel itself (Can you manage the traffic outside though?) Great teams of staff make hotels better than what they could ever strive to be The staff here is the best Check them out! (I would try to translate to Spanish, but would fail and make a fool of myself)

Excellent Laredo hotel Spacious rooms with high ceilings and mini kitchenettes, 3/4 – sized refrigerators, free self-service laundry, happy hour with decent hors d’oeuvres on Mondays, Tuesday’s & Wednesdays, and friendly staff Only issue I had was that the height of the hotel blocks out the sun from the swimming area at around 4:30 during the summer, effectively eliminating the chance to catch some rays after working hours

Due to work, I lived at the hotel for over 10 months! The lobby is great, as is the breakfast! There are games And study areas in the lobby as well and the pool/hot tub were great! But nothing compared to the staff!!! They were wonderful in all areas and made me feel like I was at home!! They even loved my dog Eddie and gave him treats and food any chance they could! No where in town compares to this hotel!

I stayed at the Tru Hilton in Laredo by the airport for work The room was so nice and clean Very modern

I want to add that I have never been to Laredo before and I’m African American and was a little nervous about traveling to Laredo, but the staff was so nice and kind! I have no complaints and will definitely be staying there again for work Here are some photos of my room

Yvonne Rodriguez

We stayed overnight and the hotel experienced a water issue where my mother, sisters and I did not get to take a shower, brush our teeth, etc the morning of Mother’s Day We had to check-out early and use a friend’s facilites I realize that it may have not been the hotel’s fault but the front desk did not have a response for my questions and a protocol in place for this recurring issue with the City of Laredo

I would encourage Hilton to take a look at this ASAP

The room was spacious and comfortable The suite has a really soft couch, a working fridge, a massively comfortable bed, and everything was clean upon arrival Breakfast was substantially good compared to other breakfast options (or lack of) at other hotels I’ve visited

The clerk at check-in was helpful on providing options for foodMy only issue was parking After 8:00pm, parking was difficult The “enhanced” WiFi was good for cellphones, but terrible when connecting to my work laptop Otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience

This place has the worst customer service They don’t make you feel like home, they make it feel like it’s a prison They will not work with you

It’s there way or highway no exceptions Front counter Denise lady is the rudest person on this earth She argues with you and tells you that they can’t help you with anything She tells you they are rules I asked if I can pay for my own room and was told that there’s no rooms available As I walked around there were several rooms available Overall bad customer service But good maid services

My family and I have stayed at other Homewood Suites before and it’s always been a great place to stay this however has got to be the worst one we’ve ever been to The entire second floor hall smelled like a dumpster, there were trash bags out in the hall the carpeting anyplace outside of the lobby was seriously stained with bits of trash over it The rooms aren’t kept up well as far as cosmetic maintenance

May as well been the Motel 6 across the interstate

Jon Klaybor

This is by far the worst Hilton hotel I’ve ever stayed in The blame rests solely on (upper) management to keep this hotel up to Hilton standards; they have not done that I will list the problems, in order of seriousness: 1) The hotel smells, in every area

Like rotting food and mold There is garbage on every floor, all the time This leads to a bug problem; my coworkers had roaches in their rooms – I sneaked a peak of the front desk maintenance log and noticed 3 more similar complaints Buck up and replace ALL the carpet, it’s way, way overdue It’s so smellyunbearable 2) Front desk staff is non-existent and cares less I can’t tell you how many times I saw a paper taped to the desk saying, “Front desk is away, be back shortly” in the 3 weeks I was there The desk was empty over half the time I walked by HIRE MORE STAFF AND STOP BEING SO CHEAP 3) The water pressure is a joke, literally My bathroom sink was a trickle, I am -not- kidding The shower was just as badI thought it might be a Laredo problemas soon as I switched hotels down the road, voila! Normal water pressure FIX THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND STOP BEING SO CHEAP 4) The A/C units are unbelievably old and filthy I bought some Clorox spray to spray it downit’s way beyond the “spray and pray” point in the lifecycle of these units UPGRADE THEM AND STOP BEING SO CHEAP 5) Housekeeping (short-staffed, I understand) is hopelessly inept I left a generous tip for a week’s worth of cleaning and asked for a few extra things (towels, coffee, etc) She took the money and ran; not only that, but my surfaces (stovetop, dining table, etc) were not even pretended to be wiped down That was the last time I ordered room cleaningI did it myself the rest of my stay 6) Wifi on mobile devices kept dropping, had to log in multiple times per day (both on Apple and Android devices) 7) The pool is FILTHY, cloudy all the time with trash floating at the bottom of it I never saw a staff member clean it once

Jason Abshire

I did not realize how accommodating Homewood Suites could be! We made a last minute reservation and found our room to be lovely, clean, and comfortable The attendant, Rueben, who mans the front desk tended to our every need We work remotely and he made sure our check-out time met our schedule, and was friendly and welcoming

He is definitely management material We visit Laredo about every six months and Homewood will have our business from this day forward

Horrible customer service, our first room was ADA bathroom, but was built wrong so all the water would drain out of the bathroom, under the door and into the sink/hallway of the suite When we complained, their solution was to give us more towels and a mop When we asked to get moved, they put us in a room where the water pressure was barley coming out of sink and shower, we had a toilette that wouldn’t flush and we had to fill up the ice bucket to flush the toilet because the tank wouldn’t fill

We had been driving for 12 hours so by 10:30 pm, we just wanted to sleep The carpets are dirty, we had an early morning appointment and their breakfast that was suppose to start at 6:30 didn’t start until almost 7 because another guest complained When I spoke with the manager, she said she couldn’t refund me, but would put points on my Hilton Rewards to use at my next stop Since we were driving further north, I agreed I spoke with the manager at 8:30 am, by 4 pm as I was arriving to my destination, she still hadn’t put any points on my rewards and when I would call to talk to her, they would tell me she was busy or in a meeting I could have paid $4900 for a cheap Motel room and had the same or maybe even a better experience I wanted to stay somewhere nice to relax and rest and this was a nightmare Horrible Customer Service And if someone wants to debate me from the hotel, please do I have video I would be happy to post of our room, the water pressure, the spilled coffee all over the floor near the elevators, and cockroaches near the kitchen PLEASE, tell me I am making this up soi can share these videos

Came to town for a quince Stayed here for two nights The rooms were somewhat clean, but they seriously needed some upgrading

The paint was chipping off the wall, the couches were dirty, and also seems like the TV does not have Netflix while the La Quinta down the street that our family stayed at for 56 bucks a night had Netflix and their carpets were even cleaner than the ES hotel The lobby seriously needs to be cleaned The carpets are so nasty! All dirty and grungy The food was meh Had better at other hotels that were cheaper Not enough seating in the breakfast area The workers were very nice though The chef had some left over pancakes and they offered them to my boyfriend and I since they ran out of the waffle batter Though being a Hilton Honors member is a joke in this hotel since all we were give are two water bottles in a cheap bag

Minnie Mouse

Can I give less than 1 star? No working internet, Given a password for premium guest…no internet still Coffee maker…did not work

Phones in the room(2) did not work Microwave, did not work Called the front desk from my cell phone to discuss all this…… receptionist…… did not know why any of these items did not work Obviously, Customer Service doesn’t work Simply put This Hotel DOES NOT WORK…if you are a human AVOID THIS HOTEL and avoid a whole lot that doe Not work

The feel of the hotel is like The Overlook from the Shinning Hallways are dimly lit and the carpets are stained Staff is friendly though, so that’s a plus

The hotel seemed dead for having checked in and heard there were no rooms available The room is clean and the bed was comfortable The shower has minimal pressure and no stopper for a bath Be sure to bring your own soap and wash cause it’s typical hotel freebies standard Other than that it’s not a bad place Priced right and near everything you need it to be Sign needs to be redone because if you don’t Google maps it, at night, you’ll miss it

Deanne Salas

This hotel has by far been the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! The “owner” is rude and not willing to help resolve issues with his customers His staff except for one person are rude, argumentative and yell at you Hotel was dirty, toilet seats not even on the toilets, elevators stopped working, zero breakfast, refused to give any of us clean towels, one person was checked into a room with no beds just two chairs, room keys never worked (we spent more time going downstairs to get new keys than we did in the room two of us even waited outside our room for an hour cause they couldn’t get the doors open)

We all checked out between yesterday and today but they are still charging us up until Sunday, on top of charging us for a room that was cancelled and charging twice for another room! I will never stay there again or recommend to any one

Gareth Cook

Common areas are very ourdated and worn Carpets were very dirty in common areas and aisles The room was clean enough and updated

The beds were very clean and had mattress covers and mattress pads in place I did find a used bandaid on the floor but just put it out of sight The bathroom appeared clean but it had a poorly repaired crack in the wall and the two piece shower enclosure was not properly installed and was growing stuff under where nobody has ever looked or cleaned I reserved this hotel as a Ramada Inn but it sure wasn’t a 3 star hotel I did only spend 2 star pricing for the area because 3 star hotels were about 175% more than the price I paid I have to say that the room was surprisingly much better than the common areas, so make up your own mind

Juan Cruz, the gentleman who works at the restaurant was excellent I stayed at the hotel for a few weeks and he took care of my daily salads Great cook

Great customer service Make sure you tip him Based on my research of hotel’s wages in the area, they are not goodThe front desk people were very nice too as well as the super nice cleaning staffI also complimented the night shift security guard I usually left for work at around 415 am and I always saw the man patrolling the parking lot and walking around the common grounds

Kaylie Nessen

The only good thing about this hotel was the staff They were very kind and helpfulThe hotel itself was absolutely disgusting

It was humid and it smelled like mildew Initially I was giving a room on the ground floor which had a sliding door to outside The lock on the door was broken so I did not feel safe staying there The room was also musty and gross so I was hoping this was just a bad one The staff moved me without an issue but the room I was given was even worse I felt safer so my biggest concern was addressed, but the room smelled so bad it gave me a headache I would be shocked if there wasn’t mold in this hotel I felt so nasty after staying there I just wanted to shower but there was absolutely no hot water From start to finish this was a horrible hotel and I would never recommend it!

Matty Speights

Very nice hotel, but exceptional for one particular reason: Kevin M This gentleman checked my group in for our four night stay, and each time I’ve entered or exited the hotel, he’s greeted me by name (“Mr Speights”–even pronounces it correctly); I have also observed that he treats other guests quite courteously

This five-star service reflects great credit upon himself, this hotel and the Marriott chain such actions build loyal customers Thank you Kevin!
