Carpet was filthy Huge stain in the middle of the floor Bed looked like children made it

Mattress needed to be replaced several years ago Curtains were hanging loose on the endBreakfast was very good Bathroom was cleanFor the price pretty disappointing

Catherine Zimnicky

Zero stars Room appeared to have had someone sitting on the bed watching TVOnly enough coffee for one person, not enough cups in room for more than one day

Breakfast was goodHallway leading to pool was wet and had food dumped Felt more like a cheap motel than an expensive hotel

Kayce Board

I frequent the area for business travel I booked a 1 bedroom suite for 3 nights Upon check-in the room was found to have several pillowcases thrown on nightstands (odd), and the bed we couldn’t tell had been poorly made or perhaps laid upon

The room itself was considerably dated and showed wearThere was blood splatters in the elevator for the entirety of our stay Being a health and safety professional, I find this to be disgraceful Clearly cleaning high touch spaces is not a priorityWe requested our room be cleaned on day two- specifically to get fresh towels and trash taken out We were told they would try to fit us in but wasn’t sure if they would If they couldn’t, they would call No show, no call We stopped by and requested fresh towels each evening It should be noted rooms next to ours were cleanedUpon check-out, we needed a luggage cart to get out items from the 3rd floor to the car The single luggage cart was being utilized by staff to stock other areas, leaving the guests withoutThe front desk staff was courteous, however, voiced their displeasure with current staffing levels and frustrations with guests complaining about rooms not being cleanedTerribly overpriced for a Hotel 8 experience

I was treated very kindly during my 6 nights, I was able to walk across the street and go to the walking park in front of a lovely lake The coffee was super Man strong, woo be careful with more than one cup We had a couple of smoking areas, next to the building, from which a lovely view

The location was excellent for getting between Mankato and St Peter MN Boiled eggs, juice and breads are available from 5: am – 9: am + weekend till 10:00 am Great TV, bed swimming pool, hot tub Did I mention how nice the workers are ?? They are a wonderful family and they work great Even the grandpa was working like a young man I’m giving this place a 6 star rating for comfort and that nice lake park across the side street DW

Bedding is out of date There is a mildew or damp smell in this hotel They do have a pool

Breakfast was standard with a waffle maker, but was good Breakfast is from 5-9 during the week The breakfast area was updated along with the bathrooms The rest of the hotel could use some remodelingRooms are good for the price But, I will probably choose to stay somewhere else due to the smell

Hania Olsson

The only reason why I gave it 1 star is because their beds are really comfortable BUT their service is REALLY BAD! The people that run this place a very VERY RUDE! My kids went swimming in the pool and someone that works there was watching my kids the whole time that they were in the pool My kids felt uncomfortable and ended up leaving the pool

When my brother came to visit us at the hotel he brought his little dog And when he let out a little bark, someone from the front desk called our room and started yelling at my kids telling them that he was going to charge us an extra $500 just to clean the room because of the dog Then he yelled more saying that there were no visitors allowed I tried canceling our room and the lady at the front desk said that I couldn’t I tried to leave and she said that she was still going to charge us the remainder of our reservation Room service in the morning was awful too They ask for the towels or whatever they come get with an attitude and if you ask for anything extra they question you why you need extra DO NOT GET A ROOM HERE, THEY HAVE NO MANNERS AND ARE VERY RUDE PEOPLE!!!

Staff was very friendly That is about it The hallways needed vacuuming, the hotel was supposed to be smoke free but smelled of smoke in the hallways

Doors didn’t need the electronic key, and our room door was broken and didn’t lock when it was shut Didn’t realize this until the second day, and the cleaning staff got it fixed right away The breakfast was not very good at all I had to wait a long time for the front desk person to show up and check me in/out They need a bell at the front desk so they know someone is waiting Good location, just needs a major revamp! Won’t go back because it wasn’t that cheap and it wasn’t great or even so-so

Now a Quality Inn – definitely a misnomer First room to which a key was given had beds and mattresses propped against the wall waiting for remodeling Back to the check in desk

Next room assigned, desk attendant went along (in bare feet – it was around 10:00 PM) to open the door Light switch by the door didn’t turn on a light, so had to walk into a dark room to turn on a lamp The room was very cold, so had to turn on the heat Went out for a quick bite to eat and upon return, looked around the room Chair was worn and bathroom floor had tiles uneven with what look like mold in between There was toilet paper in the toilet that should have been flushed away Decided not to stay at this sub par place so found a room at another nearby place that was much more acceptable The hotel manager was not available that night or the following day A request by phone the day after for credit card charges to be reversed was rudely refused on the grounds that the room had been occupied Does walking into the room and viewing it and finding it totally unacceptable constitute occupancy? An attempt to have the charges dropped will be made through the credit card issuer

David Holscher

We only stayed here one night, and we will not be back The beds were OK, but it went downhill from there The room was not well cleaned, we found hair all over the bathroom

The continental breakfast was absolutely awful They had the normal hotel spread of eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, toast/bagels, and cereal I did eat a bagel, but both of us could not bring ourselves to eat anything else, as the waffles, eggs, and sausage were all disgusting The hotel staff didn’t seem to agree with us though, as they were just sitting around eating from the spread

They’re not a lot of hotel rooms in St Peter Minnesota, but this AmericInn location is a great place if you need an overnight stay while in St Peter The staff was super friendly and super helpful They have a large open area in the front entrance which also serves as a lounge and space where breakfast is served in the morning

The indoor pool was larger than expected and was in greatl condition The rooms were clean and felt like they had been updated in the not too distant past The only reason I didn’t give five stars for the room is the bed could have used a new mattress My wife and I kept getting sucked to the middle of the bed because of the divot there However, everything was clean and tidy, the climate control worked perfectly It’s a great location Would definitely stay here again the next time we need an overnight accommodation in St Peter One piece of advice: as Saint Peter is a college town, and is relatively close to mankato, which is also a college town On weekends with a large family draw, like Parents Weekend, Graduation, etc rooms are going to be hard to come by Plan ahead! This location was sold out on the Friday night that we stayed there I was thankful that we had made our reservations months in advance

What a great hotel! Very large room on the 9th floor corner complete with a large deck area with picnic table and chairs Ample seating, large full bathroom, smaller half bathroom, small fridge and microwave, two TVs, good sized desk area with chair Located conveniently near civic center downtown

Easily accessible parking deck connected to hotel Restaurant in the hotel which looked better than the average Hilton Garden fare Definitely hope to stay here again

Michelle Aslagson-Klimek

Room was clean and spacious Need a key to get in everything, elevator, parking ramp, everything It was nice but annoying at the same time

My “key” on my phone failed to let us out of the parking ramp We were on motorcycle It was 88 degrees outside, hotter in the parking ramp I had to walk down the ramp to the hotel to get a physical key Lesson learned Always get a physical key when staying here, just in case

Ethan Campbell

We had an enjoyable stay I loved the location and being able to get a 9th floor room without paying more The constant unlocking of doors and elevators with the cellphone app got old real fast! I was bummed that the bar was closed on a Saturday night

The pool was cold, the hot tub was closed The music in the pool was weird and too loud We had to make 2 requests to get an extra set of bedding for the kids

I have been to a lot of hotels and by far this is one of best We didn’t need a pool or breakfast in the morning, so that didn’t matter to us The staff was so friendly and helpful

Melissa at the front was amazing! The room was clean, and beds comfortable We were able to check in early as well There was a bad storm and we didn’t have anywhere to go Hardwood floors in the rooms, and everything was perfect I will definitely be staying here again when we are in town

Tawyna Wagner

I read all the reviews for this place and it wasn’t at all what you typically hear of a Motel 6, and we would be staying here the first night of a two week road trip after driving for 15+ hours No regrets! This place is super clean, super comfortable, and exceeded all my expectations Very simple accommodations but I slept so well that we decided to also spend the last night of the trip here and booked another room

I got the two best nights of sleep during the whole trip here Also, Mankato is a pretty cool town! Definitely would go back

Beccah and Dillin Jensen

This was a wonderful basic little motel! It had everything you needed, no frills, and the staff was incredible!! They clean daily so everything during our week long stay was nice and tidy and clean, they had a mini fridge and microwave for our use It is a motel so if you need a hairdryer or shampoo you gotta ask, and no breakfast, but honestly we didn’t really need that! It was lovely and clean!

It Do Be Ori

The hotel is great Except when the pool and hot tub is full Plus the usual toddlers in the hot tub, splashing around and literally jumping in like it’s a pool

The rooms are a bit small, too Wouldn’t recommend for claustrophobic people The breakfast every morning is good though I’d prefer it to go to at least 10:30 for people who like to sleep in a little This wasn’t my best weekend here, so I don’t have much of a say without sounding personal

Jennifer Corrow

Love my holiday inns typically

this time I feel like I got overcharged I know it was busy and was grateful for getting the last roombut 100 bucks + over the maximum rate posted on the back of the door definitely felt ripped off If there had been someone at the front desk, I would have brought this up Hopefully this never happens again

One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in You have a restroom that has a toilet and sink Then a separate bathing room with a large, deep free standing jacuzzi tub with a shower wand and a separate shower with 2 heads

This also has a sink and heater The bedroom is beautiful with a comfortable bed The three rooms are oversized and opens to a shared balcony outside or a shared parlor inside I could live here!

Nicole Silker

We booked all of the rooms for our wedding weekend and had a great time! Some of our close family stayed with us and we absolutely loved the style/comfort of it! We spent a lot of time in the common area visiting and relaxing after busy days rehearsing and decorating The management was very friendly and accommodating They truly put our comfort above all else!

Came in at dinner, no reservation Was happily greeted and taken care of Beautiful setting

Not a chain hotel of many box roomsUnique, comfy and spacious I’m was so lucky to be here during their non season Otherwise I probably would not have a roomLovely restaurant/bar downstairs Obviously a local favorite It was packed on a Wednesday night Almost started to hum the song from CheersLoved it

Our baseball team spent a weekend here for a tournament in town The staff was very friendly and more than accommodating to everything we asked The hotel was full and this was the first hotel we have every stayed at where the ice machines kept up with the demand (there were 3 others teams staying there as well) Rooms were clean, nice bathrooms, comfy beds and pillows

I would recommend this hotel to anyone Only shortcoming was pool was a bit small yet all the kids enjoyed it

S B

Stayed at the Hotel for a State Baseball Tournament recently and have NO complaintsWe got to the Hotel around 11:00 – as our game time had been pushed up – and we were all pleasantly surprised to hear that our rooms were ready The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable

Every staff member we interacted with at the Hotel was extremely friendly during our stay No issues with Breakfast and check-in/check-out was a breezeWe would not hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area

Nice, newer hotel off of Hwy 14 in Mankato The room was a good size with a large bathroom and shower (no tub) The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was impeccable

There is a small on-site bar behind the front desk The breakfast was basic with cold and hot items and good coffee with a nice selection of various flavored creamers and teas A nice older lady was continually cleaning up the breakfast and seating area This hotel could easily carry another hotels branding due to the amenities and cleanliness Highly recommend if staying in the area

Personally, I never really had a good experience here and would not come back to this hotel First of all the workers at the front desk were very very rude specifically the front desk manager named Angie I requested to switch rooms so my older children could be closer to me but she told me she couldn’t switch rooms and when I asked for a refund they told me that I would still have to pay for the room

On top of that the rooms weren’t very good The room had a really strong smell especially in the bathroom like dirty rags The beds weren’t uncomfortable and the shower was very dirty and had a mold around the edges The only good thing was the breakfast

Virginia Lazzu

I will never in my life stay in this or any Fairfield ever! If I could give it zero I would The staff are rude and management is non existent I left a $300 book in my room for school and they did nothing but give attitude and act like they knew nothing on how to look for it and could not locate it

I then am told I have to pay to have it shipped to me They never shipped it and took my card information 10 days later It is still not shipped I call and get the same rude girl and same attitude NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I EVER STAY IN THESE HOTELS AGAIN

Corey Partin

The staff at the desk were always very nice and helpful, however the management team is extremely rude My company booked a month-long stay for me and I needed my cat to stay with I was never told that they have a “strict” no pet policy (it’s written at the very bottom of the site and on a tiny sign in the corner of the entry)

On the receipt it even said a pet fee had been waived However, one week into my stay two managers came to my room and very rudely said, “either the cat goes or you relocate” They weren’t willing to listen to my case and treated me like a trouble maker They also expected me to react immediately, which was incredibly hard to doOn top of that they also charged me $1800 for the stay instead of my company, a headache I’m still dealing withThis hotel also allows children to run screaming and yelling up and down the halls and for large groups of people to literally tailgate in the parking lot with booming bass at 11pm Their cleaners enter your room even if you ask them not to and they slam doors at all hours of the morning as they cleanOverall the desk staff were great but the rest of my stay was awful I’m leaving early and they’re losing over $1000 of my company’s money I can understand some misunderstandings, but the treatment and experience I had here guarantees I’ll never stay again

Stayed there with my girlfriend for 2 nights, no break fast (not a big deal but would be nice)Key card didn’t work after the 1st night which was odd, the place was run down and was sketchy The light and bathroom fan hardly worked

For the price you should be getting better but definitely isn’t worth itFelt unsafe

Cae Arlo

Overall, the staff was nice, but the room was not the cleanest I always bring my own sanitizing items when I go to establishments such as this one, but I shouldn’t have to clean my way into my own room My partner and I were also extremely frustrated and disappointed with the quality of the pillows

The pillows had no fluff to them whatsoever It was like laying on a very thin piece of cardboard We almost had to go out and buy our own pillows because we kept struggling with neck pain which then led to shoulder pain and then back pain all from the terrible quality of the pillows

Not a good experience at all Owners are arrogant, rude If you want a place to come to relax, look elsewhere unless you Caucasian

In a society where equality matters, you’d think the owners wouldn’t discriminate against people of color, but they do Personally heard the wife talking bad about campers on site to an entire group of other campers Keep it classy lady, keep it classy
