This property is unsafe and that is the only reason for the low rating It is modern, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, TV station options are limited, Internet speed is decent, but the property is not safe and I will not stay there again I certainly would not want my wife or daughter to stay there alone

The first night there, I was waken by a woman’s screams from the parking lot When I looked out the window, there were three police cars in the parking lot with lights flashing and a homeless woman screaming at the officersApparently, she came onto the property and started smashing out windows of multiple vehicles She told law enforcement she was “looking for her dog” She obviously had other issues In talking with other guests, they were told this was not the first such issue the hotel had They had a security guard on the property, but with multiple windows smashed, security was clearly inadequate

Drew Honson

Seconding the reviews of others, this area is unsafe There’s nothing wrong with the hotel itself, rooms are clean and staff seems kind and attentive During my stay I noticed a couple in the stairwell as I was leaving

My door had failed to latch in the past so when I hit the bottom of the stairs I decided to go double check it By the time I was back up the couple was in my room Once I unlocked the door they pushed past me and bolted from the building, but I was pretty shaken I told the front desk and they immediately did a sweep of the place, but I would not recommend anyone stay here

Lucas Reyes

Had the worst experience here Came for a 3 night stay before a wedding and didn’t even make it too the ceremony after a horrible customer service interaction The only plus to this hotel is that it is right next to McDonald’s and a Safeway

$1300 for avacado toast at their “Bistro” and Novato is far from LA for prices like that

Upon check in my family and I were greeted by two young friendly girls One was Maria who was kind enough to get us into a room a few hours before the official check in time And thank goodness cause our kids were ready to start our vacation

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained Maria was able to put us in the cottage right next to the pool which was so worth the extra money when vacationing with young kids The young girl that drove us to town was so sweet and patient with us and our kids Excellent job whoever does the hiring and/or training We will definitely be back this summer!

Rory Weiler

A beautiful property, but when housekeeping is your best service, there are issues No bar, everything stops at 9, and perhaps they just want you to go to your room A very nice, comfortable venue, but lack of food and beverage services is a downside

Wit and Wisdom is an amazing restaurant, but it’s only open 4 hours a day Convenient walk to downtown, they need to provide a more expansive guest experience

Michael Beiter

The place looks very nice on the surface but has some issues The staff is nice which is why I gave them a second star Per the picture below, I was told that this was normal for well water but having lived in the country all my life I can tell you that their well is just not properly filtered

They comped my breakfast but honestly not being able to take a bath for the week wasn’t awesomeAlso it’s important to note that if you’re staying anywhere near the pool area (which I think most are) it’s going to be unbearably bright all night long and there are no curtains in the room The blinds keep out a little bit of the light but you really need to have something to cover up the window if you want to sleep wellBesides a breakfast restaurant being very slow those were the main issues Nice place and nice staff but the rooms need some work

Reaching The Soul

Nice property with clean and pretty roomsWe enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and it was nice to sit outside on the porch while having itDid not take advantage of all of the amenities but the location was excellent! Close to the square and we also took the complimentary bikes out for a ride along the bike path in the morning

Parking was available as wellFriendly staff

Stephen Burgess

The location is great Easy walking distance to downtown restaurants Other than that, for the price per night I expected a lot more

Made reservation based on the reviews, amenities offered and the pictures on line We booked the King + Spa Deluxe room Whoever took the pictures posted online deserves an award My wife and I both walked into the room and thought this is it? The room is small The king mattress was hard like sleeping on plywood The bed frame creaked every time someone adjusted position The headboard was metal and made a denting noise when it was leaned against The spa tub and shower are one unit The shower was fine and neither one of us used the tub due to lack of time

Wonderful 360 views from the Hilltop which has Firepits, gathering areas and a mesmerizing pool Borrow a book and read in a spot of your choosing The Rooms and entrance/front desk sits at the bottom of the hill with meandering walkways and groups of units

Unlike a hotel with halls and rooms, here it’s laid out with rooms as separate “houses” with porches and front lawns Great place to relax, walk, meditate and socialize Shuffleboard and bocci for funMarket where you can purchase sundries, goods, drinks and snacks

David Woon

Only came for dinner on date night! Reservations are a must of you bank on eating here as it does book out way in advance If not you can still come to explore the beautiful grounds with Bocci ball courts, raised vegetable beds, chickens and a market to boot! The enormous covered patio features great loungers and fireside seating where if you did not have restaurant reservations still provide a smaller bites menu from the bar With drinks of course!

Very clean and exceptional service The towels were brand new and if good quality The room has everything you need

It’s a simple place and it’s an excellent choice for those who want to be close to attractions and don’t want to deal with parking problems and inflated rates in the downtown area of San FranciscoI highly recommend this place!I feel sorry that I left without leaving a tip When I noticed I was already too far to return there I will do it in the next time

REV

Rooms were clean, beds comfy, the young man working the desk was very friendly and kind but the older gentleman was rude, threatened to tow our cars because we had more than one, we traveled hours from Nevada to stay here I paid for 2 adults we met up at the lodge in our own cars just to be met with a rude guy threatening to tow our cars because we had more than one Worst part there were open spaces all night so our second car wouldn’t have inconvenience anyone instead we had to park our car at a nearby hotel our friend was staying at This older man really shouldn’t be working in a customer service environment

Bill Miller

A very cool hotel We got a room overlooking the square and street and it was great being able to sit on our balcony with a morning coffee and watch everyone start their day The restaurant is easily one of the best we’ve eaten in

It is not somewhere to find a burger or fast sandwich or fast and easy dinner It is somewhere for a special night out like anniversary, weekend get away or the like The menu is fixed and paired with wine and the things we didn’t think we’d like (like oysters) turned out to be fantastic!

PROSFriendly, accommodating staff Best Western is one of the few corporate hotels who is making a real effort to communicate consistently with their customers They are, from my experience, responsive and responsible

Everyone working at this hotel is to be commended for a job well done, including the manager They keep the place up, as best they can, and are truly hospitable Five stars hereThe pool is terrific, though understandably busy on summer weekends The breakfast has plenty of options and the people working in the breakfast room are saints The common areas and rooms (we had two) are kept clean and tidy Not easy as this is a large, five acre compound with lots of rooms It’s also an older property and all that goes with itCONSIf you are disabled, keep readingIn spite of offering #ADA rooms, this is likely not the hotel for you The two #ADA rooms we booked were at the very back of the hotel (Room 134 and 135) as far from the pool and breakfast room as possible Parking for the rooms is also some distance from the actual rooms themselves and requires you to traverse along narrow corridors, past many rooms opening directly onto your path (and onto you, if you happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time) In front of the so-called #ADA rooms, there are three very steep steps (photos attached) which could be dangerous for disabled persons and guide dogsAdditionally, the floors in the two rooms mentioned here are uneven, with a jolting hump between the area with the shower and toilet, leading to the outer sink This is a trip hazard for anyone with mobility issues The rooms were clearly not designed for disabled people There was no place for a wheelchair, the furniture was arranged the same way as all the other rooms I saw And while I noticed some rooms had attractive, wood or lino flooring, our rooms had badly stained carpet no amount cleaning can saveThe only thing that made the rooms suitable for some disabled people is the roll-in shower Alas, a roll-in shower alone does not make a hotel room fit the disabled I wish more hotels understood this

Marcy Gilchrist

Had a pleasant 2 night stay The facility is dated but kept very clean Beds were cozy and front lobby is beautiful

Hotel looks like a converted apartment complex Breakfast was in a building that wasn’t super convenient from our room location, and we ended up not eating on site Those with courtyard rooms would be closer to the breakfast area Front staff were kind and we felt very safe Hotel is located across the street from a shopping center with restaurants and stores including grocery It is right off the highway but we did not hear any noise from cars Easy drive to the city for sure We would stay there again if in the area

Dyanna Volek

Wow! This Best Western exceeded all our expectations We stayed here under a wedding block, and I was impressed by the amenities The pool is huge and there are two hot tubs

There are rocking lounge chairs near your room so you can look out on to the expansive courtyard with picnic tables and a basketball court They even took over the restaurant next to the them for the complimentary breakfast so there is plenty of space for large partiesThe rooms were typical for a Best Western but everything else was not I took one star off because the staff were pretty grumpy when we asked if we could do an early check-in

We were expecting more The room we had booked was “not available” when we arrived, but we heard someone watching a film inside… we were supposed to get a sms with the instructions of the check in because we arrived after 6pm but we didn’t and waited one hour outside Rooms and atmosphere were fine

Hot water came after many several minutes and breakfast was short (fruit and yogurt ok but no bread or solid apart from cereals :S) And no real plates or forks, just plastic and paper ones!!!

Trinity Ostberg

I stayed for two nights and overall I loved it The room I stayed in didn’t have a bathroom, but there were two bathrooms outside of the rooms with showers There were sitting areas with little coffee pots and tea bags, it was adorable

The rooms are slightly small, I didn’t mind it, and the balconies give you a darling view It’s a quaint, cozy hotel

Dravis Lutherin

Let me put it like this; it was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had For paying over $140 a night the continental breakfast was a coffee jug placed out in the restaurant bar No, like literally that was the continental breakfast

Terrible service as well The room was infested with ants! I had ants still crawling out my MacBook on the way back home Workers also weren’t helpful and often left you with judgemental looks as you walk past them Don’t come here unless you’re looking for a bad experience overpriced for a definitely overdue “4-star” hotel inspection Not worth the price nor the stresses of the poor hotel and restaurant management here

Pleasant room, with poor view Pleasant, front desk people who let us know that our room would not be entered during our stay Our first evening, we realized the safe wasn’t functioning

When I reported the issue the next morning, I was told a technician would come by I also asked for clean towels and was told to leave the dirty ones outside the door and they would be replaced; didn’t happen I had to ask again before retiring that night During our stay, the room was never serviced The fitness center was really nice, but it lacked mats for stretching

Nancy N

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country Petaluma as part of a three-day drive-to vacation with my mom The location, service, and amenities were great We enjoyed sightseeing in Bodega Bay, the Peanuts museum, and Sonoma Wine Country

The tall gentleman at the front desk was welcoming The Bartender/server at the restaurant on Monday evening provided excellent service although he was clearly overwhelmed having to manage mostly everything for all guests in the bar, restaurant area Breakfast on Tuesday was also nice, the food was yummy and the one server who mostly managed everything was friendly

Ashley

This is one of the most dog friendly hotels I have ever been to I’ve stayed at other Sheratons before, but have never seen so many people bring their dogs than I have here The hotel is just like any regular Sheraton

There was nothing that made it shine out more or less than the other Sheraton hotels Our room was clean and the staff cleaned our floor regularly It’s very convenient to many Sonoma and Petaluma wineries Downtown Sonoma was about a 20 minute drive This hotel is in a great location if wine tasting is on your list and you want to bring your dog There’s also a trail through a nature preserve right outside the hotel that is super dog friendly!

What a fantastic experience Everyone who works here was absolutely fabulous – from check in, to house keeping, to the bartenders and the breakfasts staff The lobby is modern and inviting, the rooms are large and clean, bathrooms were immaculate, beds comfortable and breakfast delicious

They pay attention to detail and the value is unreal Happy hour nightly with 2 free drinks per guest(tip your bartenders!) and breakfast had a ton of options and was delicious(tip the folks working to clear r the tables!) The employees here work hard and seem genuinely happy to be there Highly recommend and would stay again

This was my first group event since March 2020 so I was a little tentative I received very credible assurances on the safety protocols and felt comfortable bringing in 25 corporate guests for 3 days The hotel appeared fully staffed (some don’t these days) and the group coordinator was helpful and competent

The rooms were updated, clean, and comfortable The restaurant offers an excellent, cooked-to-order breakfast I did one Italian buffet dinner which was delicious and service was flawless Embassy Suites continues to be my choice for corporate groups

Had the best time with my husband and son Beautiful modern style furniture Very clean and simple

It was pleasant, but for the price, we probably won’t returnLiked · The “famous” crepes (read other reviews) were tasty, albeit cold The funky French vibe was kind of fun

Gave the property a unique feel Bed was clean and comfortable Staff was good about helping us with items we almost left behindDisliked · There were supposed to be hard boiled eggs for breakfast, but apparently by 8:30 they had run out, even though the breakfast started at 8 Staff could have been friendlier – no smiles or “Good Mornings” We were surprised with the the French vibe, there was no bidet in the bathroom :-]

Priscila Corbitt

This hotel was truly the best ever! It literally felt like our best friends from Paris invited us to stay in their home! So unique and so welcoming with an added touch that made you want to come back again! Not to mention homemade crepes for a complimentary breakfast?! Hands down would recommend to anyone who wants to feel like their in Paris! 🙂

Absolutely fabulous We got in late and purchased a bottle of French wine at check in I had a lovely bath and a claw foot tub

Slept in a plush comfortable bed Woke up in the morning to have pour over French coffee and crêpes Discovered that they have a beautiful outdoor seating area and small airstream trailers for lodging as well I wouldn’t consider staying at any other hotel in Petaluma It’s perfect!

This is one of the coolest hotels I’ve ever stayed at It’s a refurbished silk factory and is super interesting They’ve incorporated a lot of the original architecture and design of the place

The hallway on the second floor does feel a bit eerie in the middle of the night though The girl who checked me in was so great Breakfast was so good, honestly one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had The lady working the breakfast was so nice and sweet

Bree Howell

This is the nicest Hampton Inn! The building has so much charm on the outside There is a fire pit and seating areas in the back of the hotel Inside the hallways are decorated and well lit

There’s free parking in multiple lots The fitness center is spacious for a hotel Breakfast is great The hotel is doing the regular breakfast where you can make a waffle, have a hot breakfast, muffins, yogurt and fruit Most hotels have stopped serving a full breakfast so it was nice to be able to enjoy

Joel Mandel

Love this place The furnishings and design try a bit too hard to be chic and modern but it might be that I’m too old school Comfortable beds, good HVAC, well trained, helpful staff, a GREAT breakfast, very effective window shades, and a very convivial fire pit for evening conversation

The rooms are a bit small with minimal storage and the bathroom storage is skimpy for an older couple with lots of bathroom gear, but it’s doable The Common Areas areas are a bit minimalistic I’d be glad to return

The lady that served me was more worried about guests not paying for coffee that a lovely worker had put out while they waited for food instead of ringing up my juice Seemed like she didn’t really know how to use the machine My shower didn’t drain well and there was no tea/coffee in the room, nor a safe for valuables (the safes at the front desk were fully used) Same hotel chain as the one I stayed at earlier in the week but service couldn’t be more different!

Great location across the street from a convenient shopping center with great restaurants Walking distance to ferry terminal with a great waterfront view The property is clean and well maintained

The daily complementary coffee in the morning gets you started! The staff is extremely helpful to find us a room suiting for our needs I’d like to thank the front desk staff Maria who has gone above and beyond to help us even after our stay! Highly recommended

My partner and I stayed at this hotel last week during our mini getaway from NYC The hospitality was amazing As soon as we got there we asked about local food spots and things to do

The concierge provided a print out of all the restaurants/ vineyards/ activities we could explore Literally was the best way to start our vacation During the stay I had issues with the tv remote a couple times and needed toilet paper to be restocked The staff provided assistance without hesitation which was great The fitness center met my needs to keep myself consistent on my workout regimen The Starbucks in the hotel was heaven sent because I NEED my coffee Overall I am completely satisfied with the service, cleanliness, and atmosphere of this hotel I would absolutely recommend and plan on going back soon

The breakfast at the cafe was absolutely delicious avocado toast, sun dried tomatoes, arugula, and lovely pasties and warm options as well They staff was lovely, prompt and very attentive My girls asked to never leave I highly recommend this hotel We drove into downtown for dinner in the river and walked and also walked around the neighborhood to see the lovely houses Great location, quiet, relaxing and we will be back
