My boyfriend and I had to make a trip to Oil City for exams for school and with only one hotel in the area we had to make a reservation here After spending days reading the reviews, I was absolutely terrified to even stay here But after arriving and entering our designated hotel room I was shocked to find how pleasant and clean the facility was

We had a room on the third floor which was clean and modern looking They are still under construction but it’s defintely not a mess or scary The hotel manager was very friendly and kind Breakfast is from 6 to 9am and they’ll run it longer if you’re still sitting in there Not very many people stayed when we did so it was nice to have the whole breakfast lounge to yourself The food was your average continental breakfast, I’m not sure why people said it was bad or non existent, I mean were they expecting a 5-Star chef to prepare pancakes and waffles for them? I’m not sure, probably Anyway I gave the hotel 5stars bc it did it’s job and it wasn’t a horrible place like all these other reviews said

We went to a family reunion during Oil City Heritage Weekend and stayed in room on the river side of the hotel Our room was clean and updated and overlooked the pool (which was clean) and Justus Park, which is adjacent to the hotel property We had a perfect view of the band in the park band shell, the Allegheny river running along the park, and a terrific fireworks display

The hotel is being renovated and I’d recommend requesting one of the newly remodeled rooms

The room was clean the TV had normal amount of channels The staff was incredibly friendly They had a sign that said anything about your visit is less than 10 let somebody know so we could make it right

I told them about something about the waffle maker and the attendant called the manager and by the time we were done eating breakfast the second waffle maker was back up and running

Arrived late in the night to find a fresh room that smelled like hell and the bedding was sticky Everything as far as curtains towels and bedding was stained and gross Good thing we just got our bro shots this week!!!! Also FYI the motel only supplies bar soap not even cheap shampoo or conditioner and there is a dollar store 3 miles up the road!

We stayed at the Midtown for a week in July of 2015, and we’re happy to find nice clean rooms, kitchenette, two flat screen tvs, and very nice people We plan to go again this year, from our home in Merritt Island, FL Update; Well, we returned for a week in July this year/2016, and happily found all to be just as good as last year! In today’s world that doesn’t always happen

Thanks Angie, for another nice stay

Bad customer service every time I go in Staff aren’t very friendly Had a bad experience staying in one of the rooms

The owners friends were staying in the room below us so we weren’t allowed to have friends up to our room after we were told at 8:55 that they needed to leave if they weren’t guest I was visiting from out of town and hadn’t seen my twin brother and sister in law in almost two years We were the only customers there that night, bought multiple bottles of wine Food tasted like it was from an aluminum can The next morning when we were getting ready to check out one of the staff was waiting in the hallways staring at us while we were getting ready to leave, it was very awkward When we called the owner to complain he offered nothing I would also not recommend the goat cheese and pesto pizza, it was a total rip off It had two tiny chunks of cheese, the size of a dime, and 3 sun dried tomatoes for like $14 Total rip off!!!

First off this took place in July of 2020 and up until the morning that we were schduled to depart everything was wonderful The food was delicious and since it was during the height of covid in our area the whole establishment was pretty much vacant My wife and I enjoyed the fire outside and went it got chilly we appreciated the fireplace in our room

As I said everything was fantastic until our check-out morning I woke up to use the restroom and the toilet wouldnt flush I was hoping to have one more dip in the in-room jacuzzi and it wouldnt work as well There were loud noises coming from other parts of the building NO ONE INFORMED US when we checked in that the manager (who was present during check-in) had scheduled maintenance on the water system due to a known issue When we attempted to talk so someone we were treated as if we were in the wrong for doing so It was apparent that we; the customer, was an inconvenience When you pay for a stay you should expect to be treated well from the time you call to reserve your accommodations till you give back the room key This did NOT happen with us Its my wifes birthday and an old friend is playing at the Deer Creek this weekend I thought of this place and then was reminded of our last experience and have chosen somewhere else to go

This was a great little get away spot for our family with 5 kids We loved camping right on the creek where we had easy access with kayaks and canoe to the Allegheny River The kids had a blast playing in the creek and fishing the river

Also fairly close to the bike trail where we spent an afternoon biking from tunnel to tunnel Camp owner was friendly and laid back It was super easy to get in Campground was very quiet and peaceful while we were there (Mon-Fri) Nice sites with full hook up for camper Also clean shower house

Kat

We had a wonderful time and before we left we decided to come back for the 4th of July and requested the same site Up close to the little creek off Allegany River Great for a swim for kids and dogs alike

It is cash only no debit or credit Cute little shop that has ice cream They have all electric sites and some full hook Up We had a tent but most had RVs Every site had a fire ring and picnic table Really quiet place even though almost every site taken They have one shower house with 2 showers and 2 flushing toilets each One side for men one for women You can launch a canoe or kayak even a raft from most sites You can also fish here I highly recommend you check this place out

So me and my fiance went here for secluded primitive camping They worked with us told us we had an area away from all the trailers which wasn’t true we were about 30 yards away from the permanently stationed trailers Like a trailer park

Yes your close yo the water great If your into trailer trash surrounding you That’s not what upset us A tree fell on our tent luckily we weren’t in it yes a force of nature you can say except the tree was already dead and a ticking time bomb Even that wasn’t the issue Tge biggest issue I had was I called for days no one called me back they offered me 20 dollars refund which i refused i list a 400 dollar maramot tent but livedfor tge camping spot What if we would have died tge owners never once picked up the phone to ask are you ok Just a sime call would have been great are you ok?

You might look at the outside of this motel and run but the rooms are quite nice with a smart tv fridge microwave and coffee maker The bathroom was updated with a modern sink and mirror with a newer shower The place was clean and smelled fresh

Not a chemical clean smell just clean Pillows were better than any hotel I’ve stayed in ever I didn’t need 4 pillows to be comfortable just 1 The prices are very reasonable and I hope they stay that way Will be staying here again for work sometime this year again
