Beautiful resort

but this year they are charging to use the cabanas at the pool! The entire time we were there, week and 1/2, not once were they rented Plus the pool was not the cleanest as in past years No parties either, just a couple guys performing for a couple hrs around the pool, a couple days We were disappointed this year to say the least

We have been spending varied amounts of time at Emerald Desert over the past ten years We have noticed the park is not as well maintained as it had been in the past and it has lost it’s ‘high end’ feel while the rates are still very high end and continue to be increased Also we did not realize that if you want your unit washed and waxed, we found out later you have no choice but to use the company within the park

I had a quote from them and they were extremely higher – almost twice as much as the person I wanted to do my unit I asked at front desk if it was possible to use the company I was recommended from our Luxe Rv group The office said yes but he would have to register at front desk Not a big deal So I proceeded to book the company Afternoon before he came in I phoned front desk to let them know they would be here at 8 No answer I left message Well they came in at 8 all set up started washing (office doesn’t open till 830) The park manager came to our site right away and informed me this is not allowed I explained to him I talked to office and was told me I could use the company provided they would register I explained to the manager about the high cost and a person should be allowed to choose who washes and waxes our expensive units Long story short I was allowed to have him finish the wash/wax job and they did a fantastic job But found out that management wouldn’t add this mobile cleaning company to the preferred list of the park because it is required we only can use the company stated on the park list Not right The preferred company does not use chemical free water and just hook up to park water Not right The company I used has their own water and it is chemical free Not right that you have to use a company that charges double to what it should be This is a public park not a private park so everyone should be allowed to use who you want to do your work or wag on your RvBrad

My husband and I were looking to extend our vacation after staying in a time share for 7 days This place was advertised on Expedia as Emerald Desert Villas and came up as a studio on my search Only after prepaying my husband looked at Google maps to discover that this was at an RV resort

There was nothing about this being in an RV park in the Expedia description which was totally misleadingThe check in time was wrong as well The villa was very average The shower was the size of one you would find in an RV The hot tub was not working as it should We were very disappointed in our stay

Gurneet Malhotra

Their amenities are nice with a tennis court, fitness center, and a heated outdoor pool They have some seating outside with a fireplace that’s nice to sit by at night The breakfast was pretty good but the rooms and building itself is really old

The carpets and furniture have some stains and the room isn’t super clean The staff is nice but we had some communication issues with room service where different staff members were telling us different things about their room service policy during covid The hotel isn’t in walking distance to anything nearby

Effi Crotty

Friendly staff when checking in and the rooms are really nice Given it’s a Residence inn it’s essentially a spacious studio apartment so being able to have lite groceries was a plus It’s in a good spot from the highway, close enough but far away enough to not hear it

The parking lot filled up quickly next to our room though, not a huge inconvenience but there was still plenty of spaces in the complex

Ramie Shumate

Was very happy to be stay here on a mini vacation trip But at 1 in the morning when we found out we had bed bugs! Front desk didn’t seem to surprised And all they wanted todo that night was give us clean bedding

But we did end up leaving Next morning management was very good to us But definitely Not cool Marriott I hope you guys took care of this and got all new furniture in those rooms

We had a wonderful time here and will be coming back! 3 pool options with plenty of lounge chairs, staff was very friendly and welcoming Live music at the lounge on the weekends and great food options at a fair price We also brought our dog which we weren’t sure what to expect, staff was so nice to our pup and made us feel really comfortable during our stay! Rooms were nice and bed was comfortable

Fabulous spa- highly recommend the facials! I was pleasantly impressed with my stay here and will definitely be coming back!

Ciara Delaney

Rooms are clean and the bed is VERY comfortable Price was GREAT for off seasonOur children LOVED the water slide!! And they let 42″ and above so my fully swimming 5yo was able to go on it!! He was SO EXCITED

I think my children went on down the water slides 100+ times(They didn’t let him at the Shadow Ridge Marriott because it’s 48″ even though he is an excellent swimmer)

Tania Sierra

The place is beautiful The rooms are spacious and comfortable The staff were very friendly and accommodating

But for such a fancy and expensive resort, I expected better amenities in the room The coffee machine is old, it took forever to brew one cup and then you had to wait 30 mins to brew another one There was no microwave The ice machine in our building didn’t work Some of the outlets didn’t work and the ones that did work were loose and wouldn’t hold on to my phone charger And no housekeeping services were offered

This is not a five star resort We travel a ton and have stayed at my high end hotels and the Ritz is sub-par at best First, the room was tiny and old and very cramped

The rooms need major renovation We were paying well over $1000 a night and it simply isn’t worth itBoth pools were extremely crowed and at times the service was extremely slow The staff were great but simply understaffed for peak timesThe food was good but not great The main steak restaurant was closed during our stayAnd finally, after spending a week at this resort and having a $14,000 bill, the front desk argued with me that our breakfast was past the 11 AM cut off (our package had breakfast included) and charged us for lunch and only gave us credit for a few breakfasts instead of all of themOverall we were extremely disappointed with this “category 7” resort Won’t be back

Tammy Postajian

Do not bother staying at this broken down hotel called the Ritz Carlton Make sure you read the reviews You will see how run down this hotel is

The rates are $750 plus and if you use points, you will still need to spend a $1000 out of pocket Which would have been fine if it was worth it The rooms are falling apart The showers hardly work while water leaks onto the floors Toilets don’t flush No electrical outlets for new iPhones Menus are ancient with not modern choices A/C sounds like a plane is landing in your room You will also have to walk a mile to the pool You will not get any peace and quiet here Manager was alerted and moved us to another location directly in front of their club which serves food and drinks This was his was of accommodating and we just gave up at this point After our stay, he tried to accommodate us with partial points! Another insult The boutique hotels charge the same but customer service blows any 5 star hotel away I will never step foot at this hotel again The manager replied to my review on another site saying she wants to reach out to me and when I responded she never replied Please do not waste your money here There are plenty of other hotels in the area that are 20 times better than this place

Jett Anderson

Facility was fine; room was fine; food was fine; service was okay The premium restaurant was closed (apparently throughout COVID, although that wasn’t indicated on the website)

I reserved a month out and foolishly assumed based upon the brand, the location and the price ($839 for bed & breakfast) that this was a luxury resort It wasn’t It was a nice, family-oriented resort It would be fine in the $300 to $400 range So I would neither recommend nor returnBelow–The menu was on laser-printer paper

This place has really nice grounds, but I would definitely not consider it 4 star with current staffing issues They said numerous times they were short staffed so I do think it might be better if they ever get staffed up We arrived at 5:30 and our room was not ready even though check in time was 4pm

We were able to get into a different room after about 10-15 minutes but I had to insist as they initially told us to wait by the pool My room was not stocked with fresh packs of coffee, and when I did get some and went to make itthere was old coffee in the machine and I had to clean it before use The kiddie pool was closed and employees didn’t know why It just had a rope around it The positives were they had 2 different water slides and the lines were not long and went very quickly Fun for adults and kids Many different pools and a shuttle driver to take you around the grounds/to different pools or to the golf course if needed It’s nice that the rooms have kitchens so that you can cook and eat in the room rather than eating out (especially with their on site restaurant still closed) The pool grill was open but had a very small and limited menu Game room and family room also closed

Jim DeBiase

Place is amazing Been here many times but it seems this hotel is not ready for full capacity yet Still has covid restrictions up 6 feet stickers and glass partitions at check in but make the whole property come to the main pool to use the slide or their only bar? They have another pool with the same slide but force the whole hotel to come to 1 pool? This over crowds this pool and cannot get seat to enjoy

Makes no sense The other issue is their bar is open from 11am – 5pm? What are you supposed to do after 5pm if you want a drink? So many lost opportunities for revenue They have to do better as every other hotel / business is fighting to compete If they are short staffed and don’t have a restaurant and only have 1 slide open post this on your website so people know before spending $500 a night for a partially closed property!

World Management

We enjoy our time here Some pluses and minuses, however We were grateful there were enough chairs during a very busy weekend, by the pool; however, the cushions are dingy, not clean and ripped up

We enjoy the room and the service is really great if you need anything, it’s at your doorTo be honest, the other piece of feedback is just at the pool side food is not that great The french fries could be so easily slightly higher and with just a bit of them green dill or anything sprinkled on them (or parmesan- anything!! Lol) They’re just not great The salads, too, just change the lettuce or add a secondary kind of lettuce it’s just a very lame salad, even for poolside It’s such an easy adjustmentAnd while the service is kind, I think we would’ve ordered more if the service people visited us a couple more times while we’re sitting around the pool It’s certainly very hot and difficult work and everybody was so kindOverall a nice day I just think they could make it closer to a true four star place if they bumped up minor things

Our room was very orderly and clean, very clean The breakfast area was clean and orderly with the usual Holiday Inn fare, so OK The coffee was very good in its own right

The lobby restrooms were very poorly maintained to the point of filthy, please someone, wash the doors! Common area carpets and walls were several marks below as compared to the near glistening room Hard to configure By the way the hotel does not offer electric vehicle charging as does the property next door Very disappointing for an area that is so environmentally conscious

This hotel has spacious rooms that are clean and well maintained We had a one bedroom unit that can easily sleep six with two sleeper sofas in the den The kitchen has all the basics in good order

They call it a resort, but it is a hotel with generous rooms, more like a condoThe staff goes out of their way to be extra friendlyThe property shows some age but it isn’t a problemThere are two pools and three hot tubs, all with lifts for folks with mobility issues It is mostly kids who used the pools Having lifts everywhere is considerate, but it detracts from the ambianceThere is one tennis court which is pretty good and you can reserve it by the hour for no extra fee They also have many DVDs of movies that you can borrowThis is located near a good grocery store The property is near main roads for convenience but is quietOverall, this is a comfortable place to stay and we would be happy to return here

Louie Uribe

I have been an owner there since 1988 all my 5 Son’s and Daughters were practically raised there and now they take their children Just miss the old days on Saturdays we would have doughnuts and coffee ice cream in the afternoon for the kids but I still love to go there when I have time The staff is awesome Especially Veronica and Monica always treat us like Family

We’re staying at Desert Isle now Basic Wifi isn’t good, so we upgraded to premium Which is worse

When I called front desk they said there is nothing they can do and told me to call their outsource IT After about 30 minutes they told me to check again, and it still isn’t good Also, the hot tub is roped off After we called last week and they guaranteed everything was open The lady at the front desk laughed and said “I guess you can’t use it” Avoid this place Horrible customer service Will never stay here again

I loved everything about this resort!!! First off all of the staff are amazing They are so helpful and just so there to please and make their guest happy The rooms are so spacious, bright, clean

I love large bathrooms and this one had a shower and a tub!!! Our room had a good size balcony that was perfectly set with in the resort The pool is so clean with a walk up bar, but no need for that, there was a waiter’s and waitress that could bring you drinks and food to you by the pool We also had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant We basically ordered one of everything on the menu and we were not disappointed at all

Terence Brashear

I was skeptical of visiting Palm Springs in June due to the heat, but Margaritaville made it fun We stayed for 5 days, and enjoyed every one of them The large pool area has plenty of space and shade

The staff was exceptional in their attentiveness The roomExtremely comfortable beds, with a nicely laid out bathroom Walking distance to great dining, but the restaurants in the hotel were nice as well I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family

Suzy Keidel

Second visit Amazing facials upon our arrival Great location and food did not disappoint

Like the $3 poolside beers Service was great inside however a little inconsistent at the pool bar today It was nice having live music at the pool Pool ran out of towels so when we arrived in the afternoon we had to wait a while until fresh towels were brought out When showering for dinner it seemed like hot water was in short supply Still a good find for sure

We had a lovely stay here The rooms were beautiful the hotel was fantastic

And it was peaceful and quiet Jonathan at the front desk was very helpful when we had a problem with our reservation He deserves a raise I think we need to become a Hilton honors client as we always love the service The chocolate chip cookies are an excellent touch

Allison C

45 stars! The front desk service was amazing Jonathan was so helpful when I asked to change rooms due to the very loud guests in the room next door (not the hotel’s fault)

He was accommodating and moved me to a room on the same floor but graciously not next to anybody The whole hotel was clean, modern, good shower water pressure, big TVs in the rooms I’m knocking down a star because although the pool area was gorgeous (clean, comfy lounge chairs, a dozen umbrellas), I did not like the extremely loud music played there every day On my last day, it began at 10am so I couldn’t even enjoy a peaceful morning reading It was Fourth of July weekend so maybe that’s why I would come again at a quieter time! FYI breakfast is not included and there is a $20 resort fee daily

Chris S

I stayed for work, and had the time to golf a couple days as well Really enjoyed the convince of the course being right thereI did have to change rooms after my first night when the temp couldn’t get to a comfortable level

I have to assume that the doors aren’t sealed well and more and leak hot in It was windy the entire time of my stay, and you could hear the whistling in the door all night Kinda annoyingI ate at the bar on site once and the burger I had was great Ate at the club house too and have no compliance their eitherAll in all it’s a great place to stayFYI, if you have little ones that want to swim the pools pretty deep most of the way around

I loved this hotel! Very clean, spacious, we got lucky with the view as well We had a beautiful view of the mountains, the sunsets were amazing The bar guys were AWESOME! Tony and the rest of them were very welcoming and added that needed fun spirit at the pool! I love when good bartenders makes me a good drink

I would definitely go back!

My husband and I had a really fantastic stay here A few awesome features to mention-super comfy beds and pillows, spacious and clean rooms, great on-site coffee shop, tasty cocktails and really good food by the pool with great waiter service, lots of pool chairs, free yoga classes held outdoors on the lawn (loved this!!), fantastic gym with plenty of machines/free weights, TRX bands etc My husband loved the golf course

There were a few issues that are worth mentioning- the walls are quite thin We had a noisy family next to us for two nights and it was frustrating And you can hear everything in the hall as people walk by But overall it was manageable Also this seems to be a very family friendly hotel There were TONS of kids in the pool playing ball and constantly screaming Just something to be aware of if you’re looking for a more adult experience We had multiple issues with the parking gates and cards not working We had to ask several times to have our cards activated The staff at the front desk seemed confused and not very aware of policies I was told different things by different people They were nice and tried to be helpful but it wasn’t a seamless process to get information All in all it’s a great hotel and has a lot to offer

SHIRELLE R. ALEXANDER

The welcome starts with the Valet Attendants They are cordial, professional and expedite! We went for a taste test with your Catering Manager What a delightful experience

While the rooms are simple and lack a bit of personality, they are furnished with everything that’s needed and a little more The grounds are beautiful, the pools are wonderful, the spa: peaceful and the staff: exceptional An excellent stay overall, the staff truly made the experience superior

From the moment we were greeted by the warm, welcoming and light-hearted valet to our much-appreciated late check-out, each member of the staff was generous, friendly, accommodating and first-class Liz, at the front desk, was exceptionally wonderful She found a way to go above and beyond each day of our visit and is an incredible asset to the resort We’ll happily be back

Second visit at this location Good service from Valet parking to receptionist Self parking is available for free but we prefer the valet

Room is nice but need more cleaning details Mini fridge can fit can waters and only small items Microwave is $20 per night upon request There were the stains on shower curtain and some former guests items were still in the bedroom Restaurants are quite decent with great meal

I have stayed in the Hyatt Regency in Indian Wells many times I just went recently after I haven’t been for a while and it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in It’s the only place I’ll ever stay in the Palm Springs area

First of all, this hotel is in a great location Close to Palm Springs and other surrounding popular cities This place is affordable, the rooms are pristine, and the outdoor area is fantastic! There are so many pools and it’s never crowded I also like how there’s basically a designated kids area where the water slides are The hotel restaurants serve great food Staff is very polite and helpful They are pet friendly also which is a great plus for people bringing along pets on their vacation Overall, this hotel is fantastic and I definitely recommend it!

Very kid friendly! I stayed here with my 1 year old on a family vacation She had a blast in the pools, on the splash pad, and sandy area The spa was also excellent with fabulous amenities! I hope to return some day

Shout out to the hostess in the restaurant (i didn’t catch her name) who found me some milk for my baby and saved me a trip to the grocery store with a fussy baby after a long travel day Thank you for going above & beyond!

The resort is amazing, it’s a golf and pool resort Service was great, there was a lot of communication within the resort of workers communicating the weather and what us as guests should and shouldn’t be doing The pools are pretty great, all around 3ft deep, they have a family pool which was pretty packed and there was a lazy river than went around the two slides they had

The hotel rooms were great as well The balconies were great too Food there was great as well!! The breakfast item, cinnamon roll, I would not get again It came out really hard and not the best But other than that the rest of the food there was great All around great place for a fun and relaxing place to go without having to leave

Srt

We visited our son & his family They were staying here for a couple of daysWe visited them at the pool & lazy river area & were hosted in a pool side cabana

The area was crowded but clean & as orderly as it could be while entertaining youngstersThe pool staff were really on top of things & I was impressed with their attentiveness to the crowd & their safetyThe cabana, though pricey according to my son, was clean, well set up & equipped with a misting systemThe wait staff & servers at the pool/cabana were very cool, very accommodating & very politeI cannot comment on the room because we live locally & did not stay at the resort

Absolutely beautiful grounds and hotel The room was clean and gorgeous I stayed with my friend while we were in Palm Desert for a week

Last year, I stayed at the Shadow Ridge with my family Both are well-kept with friendly staff The main pool has drink specials throughout the week We really enjoyed staying at the desert villas and definitely will be staying there again

D. Lynn

Overall, this is a nice resort Facilities are clean, staff is generally friendly However, it was difficult many times to get a hold of anyone when contacting the front desk

The phone would just ring and ring Daily room cleaning is long gone If you want your room cleaned during your stay it will cost you an extra $140 US 😳 What I found really disappointing is that there is no quiet/adult pool here Every pool I went to was usually crowded and noisy with people playing their own music I won’t be returning here

I went to these villas for the first time to try out the property As soon as I checked-in it was a horrible experience Claudia was the person assisting me though she did not assist me at all! She informed me that there was no rooms available for 2 1/2 hrs

which meant my family had to be waiting for over 2 hrs for a room! I was very upset and told her I didn’t understand how there was no rooms available when I had made reservations over 1 1/2 motnhs ago Her response was “your eta is 6:30” I said to her check-in is at 4 so my travel eta should not matter to you After this she just kept repeating herself that there was no rooms available She didn’t even bother to apologize for the inconvenience After this she sees her co-worker Javier Torres assisting my friend with her check-in so she just turned around and said to him “oh you can help her toothey are together” she didn’t even ask him or me if it was okay for me to keep waiting for Javier to finish She just rushed me off to not help me! The only reason I gave this review 1 star is because Javier Torres did go above and beyond in assisting me until he found a room that was available at 4 He was very helpful and understanding that I had 2 small children that had already been waiting in the car for 1 hr while I was trying to check-in We had finally gotten a room though the only room available was not in the villas I had reserved so we had to be drive out of that property and be driving back and forth to use the pools because they were not walking distancebut at least Javier did do his best to be helpful and professional Thanks to him I felt more welcomed unlike Claudia that should not be working at the check-in because she did not even bother in assisting me or cared to help at allinstead she rushed me off to someone else As a new vacation owner I will say I will not be returning to these villas or recommend anyone to stay therethey overbooked themselves and had so many people waiting for over 2 hrs for rooms!! That is very poor customer service

Incredible experience staying at the Parker I attended a Real Estate Conference staying 3 nights The room was great, the service throughout the entire resort was excellent

ALL of the food was fantastic The resort is beautiful, and just puts a smile on your face the entire time you are there I loved everything about the stay Side note, there are no coffee makers in the standard rooms Not a huge deal, but for coffee lovers, you will need to walk to the main building for coffee in the morning

David Paz

A great piece of palm springs history Fantastic grounds and onsite restaurants Staff was very friendly

Check-in was a bit clumsy and after the first day I noticed a lot of areas that needed to me better maintained (paint, drywall, electrical cables exposed) For the price I would expect more, the 4 seasons in Santa Barbara is the closest comparable and is much better quality for basically the same price

Karen

It’s a physically beautiful property in the aggregate However, the rooms, largely don’t have ironing boards/irons, towel bars, just some basic stuff Like amazing toiletries offered, but after I shower no place to put the hand towel, throwing the bath towel over the door and clipping the others to the closet because we don’t want to order room service to change the towels just because there’s no place to hang them

I’m here for an event, and several of the other guests shared the same experience with me regarding towel bars/hooks, and no irons/ironing boards If I need to pay $25 for a drink in the lobby, I want to wear a wrinkle free shirt

It’s not so bad here really, definitely a time travel experience back to 1989 with the

well, EVERYTHING really Decor is really in good condition, but literally 30 years old There’s a pool, a hot tub, I guess there’s a restaurant too but we didn’t goMy complaint is that the units have zero curb appeal It looks positively dismal upon arrival Fine inside though, and on the “yard” side the views look 1989 amazingAlso, hey it’s 2022, no friggin electric vehicle chargers? This is really low hanging fruit folksSpeaking of low hanging fruit, there’s the occasional grapefruit tree, be sure to raid them, they’re delicious, 1989 grapefruits, none of this ruby red nonsense, but real bitter proper grapefruit

We have been coming to this resort for 15 years and we have never complained There rooms are cozy and modern Though the outlets could be replaced because they’re weak but thats whatever

The view is beautiful and the pool is so nice The grounds are very well kept and the employees are extra nice, very laid back and chill Wonderful place to come and stay at while also being damn well worth the price 5 stars absolutely recommend it 🏜 👍🏻

This is literally worth all your money! Book here ASAP! Great living room, giant modern TVs, a full kitchen with everything (plates, mugs, utensils, and can openers etc) a private room and walk-in closet included too! Entire room is spacious and nice Wonderful staff, except no elevator was functional and was the old ones, had to carry luggage up the stairs

More pros than con

I had reservations and was never told that I needed a deposit My purse was stole right before our trip and I didn’t have my credit card so I couldn’t pay a deposit I was turned away after driving a couple hours to get there

Fortunately my best friend lent me the money and we got our room It was very nice perfect for our stay My only suggestion is inform everyone there will be a deposit and how hot its going to be during the summer Also be aware that they (house keeping) will enter your room if your not there and don’t answer the door

Miki Claire

Terrible service, had to call for housekeeping 4 times before they sent someone Pool towels flimsy, could be a better pool with better food options, fitness center hours were not listed on the amenities sheet and were not communicated during check-in The fitness center doesn’t open til 9 so I didn’t get to use it, but I did peek in there and it wasn’t good—very limited

It looked like they tried to do some updates but it was very sloppy workmanship

I was with a friend about 5 years ago and again a couple years back The staff was friendly and welcoming We really came for the laid back vibe and naturist setting, where we felt completely comfortable, even though the staff and some other visitors were dressed

We kept pretty much to ourselves, explored Palm Springs during the day but more in the cooler evenings Tons to do in that town When we weren’t out and about, we just floated in the side pool and talked for hours, or enjoyed a drink by the firepit in the evening It’s the desert, so I had no problems with water restrictions and didn’t find any other conditions of the stay intrusive We weren’t in the room much, but they were comfortable and had everything we needed Not over-the-top expensive and I wouldn’t call it a luxury spa, but I wasn’t looking for that either The resort been around for awhile and is a favorite of many, including me Hope to return soon

Nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains is a magical place called Desert Sun ResortBeautifully maintained and immaculately manicured landscaping makes for a luxurious destinationWhether the swimming pools, Jacuzzi, Tennis court, Spa, restaurant or simply relaxing in a clothing optional atmosphere all one would wish is there

Enhanced by the associates such as Teresa, Russo and Salma and the many others who make efforts beyond measure to ensure one’s stay is truly memorable and shall keep one coming back to this Oasis in the Coachella Valley The staff are wonderful ambassadors for Desert Sun ResortIf one wishes an assuredly unique experience do as I have done for more than 10 years, take a drive or a flight to Palm Springs and see this magical place for yourselfAlOhio

Great place for clothes optional vacation, just wish the queen room would be a bit bigger Didn’t like the water bottle policy (you can’t fill your own reusable bottles, only branded ones)Otherwise the place is wonderful, very peaceful, judgement free and very friendly
