This hotel truly is a hidden gem! We have been coming here for years with family and friends There is so much to offer—indoor/outdoor pool, golf, 2 restaurants, game room and more The hotel is just gorgeous, as well, and the staff is amazing! From the time you check-in, you feel welcomed

I have to give a huge shout out to our absolute favorite staff member, Willie, at the pool/golf bar He is amazing—hardworking, personable, efficient, and just an overall fantastic person! Such an asset to the hotel We already can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I were here for a 1 night 2 day work conference We really enjoyed our stay Everyone was friendly and the hotel has so many amenities (large outdoor and indoor pools, nice selection of restaurants)

The conference food, snacks, drinks were great with a lot to choose from Our room was extremely clean and the beds were super comfy Thank you for a great experience Hilton team!

Beautiful views of the golf course and skyline Clean room and bathroom Comfortable king size bed

Modern 2 restaurants and bar Friendly and helpful front desk staff Booked 2 rooms 3months ahead of time and happy to be on the same floor a few rooms away from each other Only downfall is we did ask for room service but they did not refresh towels or clean bathroom like asked

Overall, an okay stay My family of four stayed for a 3 night stay Not once did we have our linens changed, room cleaned or trash picked up

Also, no fresh towels there were toys from likely the previous guests inside the room goes to show the room was not cleaned well beforehand There were red stains all over the carpet The amenities were why we stayed – Free parking, free hot breakfast, and the pool My kids enjoyed coming down and the selection of food It was convenient, but I would not come back based on service and cleanliness

Danijela Tomic

I booked a room a month before and I arrived at 4:30pm only to be told to wait because the room was not ready and that they were inspecting the room I waited half an hour with my husband and two children, we were tired and hungry after our flight When I asked why the room wasn’t ready when check in was at 3pm, they didn’t have a specific answer

After that, another woman came and said that she would give us a better room That was really nice but all I wanted is a room I booked and check in on time Breakfast is ok, nothing special Two stars only because of the check in process and because the housekeepers come every third day And after the third day they changed only one bed sheet and left the other dirty The location of the hotel is great!

Enjoyed our stay immensely,(my wife)& I being of old school character, enjoyed the old generation of Ambience, old time feelFrom the lobby,to our quaint(clean)roomEnjoyed the old craftsmanship & decor of entire hotel

as well as the small elevator (that seemed to take 4ever to rise to your floor)when time is not of essence Not to mention the staff kindness & hospitality Next time in area this will be tops on my list of places to Stay & would highly recommend to friends/ family who would enjoy a visit back in timeTo the Good old DaysFeel It!

The Carleton of Oak Park is indeed a beautiful historic hotel However at over $250 a night completely disappointing Hardly no amenities or better yet any at all for this price

The hotel offers two room types, Boutique and motel Their website does not show more expensive boutique rooms have a view of either a brick wall or the parking lot, no gardens as depicted in pictures They did not have one functioning vending machine on all 4 floors Literally no where to purchase bottled water or any other simplicities No coffee station in the lobby, no continental breakfast at minimum Staff was cordial but looked at us like we were bothersome when we asked for nearby restaurant suggestions Nothing in immediate walking distance We had to ask the front desk to provide water Better off spending money at a Marriot

Clean, comfortable room I got upgraded to a king suite Nice staff

Ideal location for me Just three things I was not happy about-Channel up/down on the TV remote didn’t work Had to manually put in channels Hard to do when you don’t know the channel numbers-Phone in room didn’t work-I was told pool was heated It was not

Cat 3

Pros: Comfortable beds, quiet, the pool is huge Showers had good water pressure The front desk guy that I saw the most was super nice and helpful

Cons: Things that were listed on the website were either unavailable or not true (no free breakfast, the pool is NOT heated, the restaurant is not open) If you have a lot of luggage and need to haul it in with a cart the entrance from the side parking lot isn’t accessible (there’s a step to get in the door) and the back parking lot is gravelI think a lot of the cons wouldn’t have stung so much if the price per night hadn’t been so high I kind of ate the cost because I thought I was paying for the amenties, but to get there and have to go to WalMart to get microwave breakfasts and dinners suckedI would only stay here again if the rooms were 100 or less a night, or if they got the breakfast/restaurant situation straightened out

Richard Willer

AWFUL place to stay including management I took pictures of my room that I will be posting on other social mediaThe room was not cleaned

An opened beer was in the fridge, safety bobby pin on the floor, tape literally holding some of the wall together, and the mirror when steamed stated ‘TRUMP 2021!’ I talked to the supervisor when he came in at 4pm only to say they will just take 20% off and can’t find any product to remove the sign on the mirror! Room preparation is a simple task Hotels accept damage deposits, so most issues should be an easy fix, just buy a new mirror or washing product then! Seems very lazy on staff

My wife and I stayed here while in town for a comic convention and we loved it, cannot wait to come back! The price was the best in the area while being in walking distance of our convention center and so many food options and fun things to do! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated The desk workers were always very kind and helpful during check-in or when we got our parking validated a couple of times The rooms have such a unique layout and were very clean and elegant

We got breakfast one morning and that was also pretty tasty If we are ever in Rosemont again we would love to stay here again!

Elisa

Overall it was a very good experience The hotel is clean and invitingThere is a nice lobby area with a cafeteria, a bar, pool table, and they have an indoor pool and gym

Decor and ambience is very comfortableThe room was neat and clean The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable Daily room cleaning is not done unless you ask, but you are advised of this upon check inWe did have an issue with the bathroom as the floor flooded every time we took a showerBut otherwise it was an excellent stay and we would come back here for sureThank you!

Bailey Smola

The area in which the hotel is located was great, it was very safe and I felt incredibly comfortable walking around on my own to the mall across the street, and even around the entertainment district as a whole The rooms are clean, well maintained, and the staff from housekeeping to management was incredibly kind & helpful if I had any questions or concerns Jennifer, the hotel manager is an incredible human being with a heart of absolute gold

She assisted me in removing myself from a situation with the friend I was traveling with, that could have potentially turned dangerous for me, had I not relocated within the hotel I could tell that my safety was her number one priority and I will forever be grateful to her for helping me out! I will absolutely be returning to Aloft on my next trip to the Chicago area and cannot recommend it enough to others

I never been to this location and was surprised that I ever booked here before Next morning booked for my birthday with a bigger room I am excited already Five star service from the Franklin Park staff

Jennifer Schmuhl

The room my husband & had chosen was HYPNOTIC The staff was great & the room spotless & there’s also a little store in the front where you can buy different fun items if you wanted Loved it we ended up staying overnight, I’m so glad we did because theres so much to do

Will have to go again & pick a different room * It’s great this place is 10 minutes from our home & didn’t even know 😁 *

Nice location You do have to be a member, which takes 4 hours to get approved during working hours or 48 hours otherwise I think membership was $30 for the whole year

After you get approved, you get to choose the options for the room (champagne etc)This location is motel style with the parking in the middle The office is right at the entry and they have all types of stuff available for purchase, like water, soda, candy, chocolate strawberries, bubble baths, lotions, flowers They only car info they need is the make, model and color, license plates are not required We were staying in the Prism room and it was very neat There were rose petals on the bed and the floor They also had 3 playing dice complementary as part lf the assembly The jacuzzi and shower are combined but the toilet is separated There were more then enough towels and also bath robes which were available for purchase too The color changing lights above the bed are super fun to discover The only downside is the TV is not smart so you won’t be able to connect to Netflix or any provider to watch a movie if you choose so Overall a great experience

+bathroom+spacious room-Stephanie-room service-pool area-parkingThis by far was my worst Hilton stay! I called in advance to see if I could check in at 2pm The lady on the phone asked me my last name, confirmed my reservation and told me coming at 2pm would be perfectly fine Well I get there and Stephanie who did not come off very customer friendly at all quickly shut me down and told me I could not check in early

I explained I called for this very reason before driving 40minutes She told me I’d have to wait about 30-40min and there were people ahead of me That was the first thing I understood she was doing her job but she comes off very rude with how she speaks and her facial expressions Once we were finally checked in Stephanie then gave me & my mom the same room number on our keys so I had to go back downstairs to get this fixed The rooms were very spacious but so outdated, the carpet and furniture was hideous but I liked the space and the bathroom was my favorite We stayed 3 nights but room service never showed up until we called On day two my husband saw room service and asked if they could come get our trash and dirty towels and she told him if we wanted our room cleaned we had to call the front desk I’m not sure if this is new but even when you stay for a couple of nights they at least come to your room to offer new towels and pick up any full trash When we finally got new towels my towel was so thin and hard it hurt, literally it was nothing like the first set of towels But, my biggest complaint is the pool Our swimsuits had a awful smell after getting into the pool/hot tub I have never had an odor as such after being in a pool Next thing I know we are all sick by the time check out comes The only person that was not sick is my mom and she is the only one who didn’t step foot in the pool or hot tub To top it off when I checked in I was handed a card to put in my car but was never told I was being charged daily for parking I have never paid for parking when staying at the Hilton This was my first time at this particular Hilton and will be my lastIt was my most expensive stay but yet my least favorite I will say the gentleman that worked the night shift I didn’t get his name but he was very friendly to myself and my daughter

Carl Kroboth (CPK3RD)

Is it terrible? No Is it excellent? NoBut hello 1990, I hear you want your hotel back

Updates are definitely needed, as the rooms look the exact same as when I traveled a lot in the late 90’s and early 2000sAs for the cleanliness of the room it was a 3 out of 5 One stained bath towel, and the old furniture just doesn’t make the room inviting The shower leaked through the door soaking the bath matNot to mention $20 for a $10(value) breakfast Only because the closest place to get breakfast is 10min awayJudging by the other recent reviews it looks like Hilton has some work to do to bring this hotel back to the 5 star status it once was

Robyn Christopher

Booked a King Suite, stayed 3 nights The location was perfect! Close to highway into Chicago, near shopping and plenty of dining optionsThere must have been a few mix ups with our booking, initially they were showing as 2 nights not 3 but that was straightened out at check in

We didn’t have a king bed in the king suite, it was a queen The mattress was very hardThis hotel has an elegant banquet hall next to it and uses it for events like weddings There were 3 during our stay This wouldn’t be an issue, except once the event ends the guests staying at the hotel tend to continue the party in the center of the hotel The center is a gathering / seating area and the noise traveled very well up to the 6th floor and thru my door at 2 & 3 in the morningFront desk staff is relatively non-existent and isn’t very friendly or helpful Breakfast is OUTRAGEOUS $12 for their “continental” is some fruit, a few bread choices and cereal And for $20 you can have breakfast like sausage and eggs from a warmer

I rarely write 3-star reviews but I thought this might be good for anyone with families to readHere are things that we didn’t like about this hotel:1 The living room is very noisy and bright

I have 2 teenagers, and we thought the pull out couch would make a good place for one of them to sleep to give them some space It did not work out well They have glass panels in the hotel room doors, which was pretty, but it let in all the hallway light You could also hear everything from the outside They were very busy during our stay and they lounge area was noisy into the middle of the night We could hear this despite being on the 5th floor2 The staff was mostly nice but not always helpful My son got sick while visiting He unfortunately did not make it to the bathroom in time We cleaned this up ourselves because it was out son and we didn’t want to make the cleaning service do it However we didn’t want to keep the towels with vomit in the room I put it in a plastic bag and took it to the front desk for laundry and the lady looked at me like I was crazy I also had to twice ask for beddingThings we did like about the hotel1 The complimentary drinks was a nice touch and appreciated Unfortunately it does get pretty packed during that time so you may not have a place to sit2 The location is perfect Close to other hotels, conventions and the train station is within a 5 minute walk

jennifer Smith

You get breakfast for each day you stay you get two drinks between 5:00 and 6:30 each day u stayHallways and elevators were way too hot Elevators need at least one fan or two felt like you were going to have a heat strokeRoom was decent I like the setup

Nice size tvs the shower could have been deeper water pressure could have been harderEven though we were by the airport didn’t really hear it unless you were standing outside so that was a plus didn’t get a chance to get in the pool but the area we were in was pretty good restaurants down the road Casino shopping $33 parking but it’s well worth it because you can get in and out without them charging you each time you leaveFirst day of breakfast eggs sausage French toast make your own omelette oatmeal regular toast muffins bagels and cerealSecond day eggs sausage pancakes make your own omelette regular toast muffins bagels cereal oatmealI do recommend this place and I will stay again🙂

This was a top notch experience The hotel is overall very nice, clean and modern All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Kyla at the front desk

The room was very clean, and the beds were comfy The best part about our stay was the indoor/outdoor pool that connected We laid out and relaxed on the deck for hours, it was very peaceful For the price it was well worth it, I will definitely be returning

Dua Kaylani

We stayed here for a 3 day conference The bad: the employees at the front desk don’t know how to deal with crowds, they were ready to explode at any minute, anyone asking to change a room, or wanted a service that they don’t offer, felt like a crisis happening, at some point I thought an employee was deaf because he was completely ignoring a person who didn’t stand in line As someone who deals with people often, these employees need training, serious training

The good: The hotel was very clean, all our needs were met, the service at the bar for lunch and the rooms was superb The food servers at the dinner hall were welcoming and fastWe were able to leave our luggage at the hotel desk after check out to tour the city then come back pick them up in the evening before leaving to the airportThe shuttle to the hotel is a great service! Over all will come back for sure

Jackie Hudson

A good place near the airport if you have a layover Courtesy van runs every 30 min and was very efficient and driver was professional and helpful Disappointed that two chicken sandwiches and to mixed drinks plus tip was almost as much as the room ($90, no kidding) but there is nothing close by and we were too tired after 13 hr flight to look for other options

We had an exceptional experience at the Guesthouse, I think we’ve found the hotel we will return to when staying in Chicago The rooms are large, well appointed, and very homey We were very comfortable during our stay

Footsteps do travel through the floors, so if you are light sleeper, be warned, you may want to get a top floorThe neighborhood is very safe and only a short drive from downtown If you want to be in the heart of Chicago this hotel is obviously not for you, but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, and spacious hotel that is just outside of downtown, then this is a great option Actually, the rooms here are enormous compared to most hotels in the downtown area, making this a great option for family groups

Sam Brickfield

The Guesthouse was an exceptional stay for my family We were in town for my brother’s wedding and I have an 8 month old infant The Guesthouse was incredibly accommodating

They had so much of the baby stuff that we needed so we didn’t have to bring it, and the room was perfect for a small family to use as a home base during a busy wedding weekend I’d absolutely stay here again

thomas flegler

Other than the friendly staff there are no positive aspects to note The hotel (room #302) was dirty with grime on tables, bathrooms, and floors The linens are cheap and heavily scented with a sticky feel from way too much fabric softener

The beds and couch were lumpy, cheap, squeaky and uncomfortable The locks on the bathroom doors were broken The carpets were visibly soiled The TV was ridiculously small and unusable The furniture is heavily distressed with scratches, worn fabric, etc High noise level in the area and not cheap Will never stay here again

No microwave so we ate our leftover food from restaurants cold Ac goes to 65 only then kept going back up to 68 The showers were not sealed nicely so the water kept leaking out

Which is very dangerous if you get out of the shower Parking is a little expensive but what do you expect because of the area I guess The hotel staff did not tell me about a security deposit, in which I expected it but they usually tell you Beautiful space and hotel Sketchy hallways and kinda creepy if you’re trying to find your way around the hotel Overall, it was a nice hotel and decent price But some of out needs were not met

A delightful example of a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped Westin hotel! The Benchmark Restaurant in the hotel has genuinely some of the best dishes I’ve had in a long, long time I highly recommend the Salmon, and the Sliders – even if they aren’t cheap, it’s worth it! The staff were very accommodating and delightful, and the hotel room was in great shape

Recently renovatedOverall, location is the top-selling feature Close to the airport with a shuttle that leaves about every 20 minutes

Drive from hotel to Terminal was about 5 minutesFriendly staff at check-inIn-room amenities and design were a little lack-luster for the Westin brand Also had a problem with the TV continuously “Loading” and resetting to the Marriott Bonvoy screenFitness Center was decent with offerings, but the room was pretty hot like nonstop

Booked a king room Got double full size beds that barely fit both of us Both beds didn’t use a fitted sheets, which is fine if the flat sheets actually covered the mattress

Both were not completely covering the mattress at the foot of the bedAirport shuttle arrived and left late Appeared to just be sitting on the side of the hotel across the street until 5am where it pulled up to pick up people there before coming over to the Doubletree If it cannot leave on the hour as stated, the time should be adjusted Shuttle driver left the door shut until loading all bags making us wait, before letting everyone on (although there were guests from the other hotel already on the shuttle)! Why would it matter if people are already on? I’ve seen this before at this hotel during the winter thinking it I’d appropriate to have guests wait in freezing weather to board

First impression of my visit this past weekend (6/10/22) was that this place was going to be great The lobby was impressive and well maintained and check-in was friendly and efficient Unfortunately this trend did not continue

Once we reached the ninth floor the halls were overly warm a thermostat on the wall near the elevator stated it was 77 degrees and it remained that way our entire stay My group and I were treated to various unpleasant smells over the course of our weekend stay in the same hallway Again our first impressions of the room were great but that faded as the weekend drew on A moderate sized stain on the carpet we discovered when we moved a chair to play board games, small spots of peeling wallpaper, messy grout in the bathroom shower, incredibly dirty AC/heater vent, and mini fridge but no microwave were amongst the biggest annoyances for a room of the price range Breakfast was the biggest surprise, there was a buffet with a pretty standard spread of items like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereal, and a fruit bar We were waved over to a table and then went to get our food, some of the items that should have been cold were room temp like the cottage cheese Imagine our surprise when the man who waved us to the table brought us checks as it was not posted anywhere or ever told to us that this was not complimentary like it is a “lower” caliber hotels After tax something like $21 per person for this buffet One of our group only had a small bowl of cereal and a glass of water Overall very disappointed

Great place to stayRooms were ample and nicely furnished, I like coffee pots that do not use pods My room had a tub, unfortunately didn’t had a chance to enjoy it

Location is unbeatable, walking distance to the outlets and very convenient shuttle service to the airportEven taking the CTA train is just a 10 minutes walk awayFront desk helped out group a lot, we had special requests and they worked hard to help usGreat place to stay, the welcome cookie is a nice touch

OK it’s not the worlds worst Marriott but it’s darn close AC doesn’t function well, you can’t see out the windows because they’re so fogged up inside the glass There is a sign leading to an ice machine on my floor and it was just an empty alcove

But what really bothered me was the television Not the television itself was bad but the service was abysmal Not like your standard Marriott Just scrolling guide with only about 30 channels, most of them just worthless No guide, you had to just remember what channel you liked wait for the scrolling and then go to it No possibility of logging in with on demand All Marriotts have had this as standard issue for the past five years or so, this is just silly and frustrating Posting this review now, but going up the chain of command to make sure the president and CEO of Marriott are aware of these inconsistencies The hotel looks nice from the outside but once you get inside you realize that really it’s just a one and a half star motel at best

Horrible experience The hotel is extremely dull and run down and location is not great either On top of that, the front desk Staff named Dana was extremely rude

We were visiting from NJ where the indoor mask mandate had been lifted I totally understand the different mask mandate in illinois however, the staff needs to be courteous in reminding people for wearing masks She screamed at us saying “wear your mask NOW” We reported the hotel to the Marriott customer service and checked out right awayThis hotel is not worth my money or my points I visit Chicago every month and this hotel is totally off my list I would recommend the hotel management to properly train their staff and manager in customer service

Heidi Pinkham

NEVER will stay here again, nor would I recommend Hotel run down and employees rude The breakfast was a joke

I ordered French toast The preparer toasted the bread in a toaster, sprinkled confectionary sugar on it and served with syrup The drink I ordered expired 2 months ago My sister ordered a “Starbucks” coffee and it tasted like water When she tried to get another cup, the manager was rude to her and gave her another cup of watered down coffee Seriously, this is a Marriott???

Me and my husband stayed here back in February and it was amazing This was our first time away from our kids since the pandemic started and we enjoyed every moment The staff was really nice, the hotel in general was very clean

We stayed in two different rooms and loved them both, I really enjoyed the tub and shower and was able to relax The restaurant/bar was great and the drinks were the best I can’t wait to visit again and do some more sight seeing in the area

Derrick Woolfson

Well appointed hotel with several conveniently located restaurants & shopping Staff at desk were very friendly and accommodating They offered to check me in early, which was great

I also highly recommend their spa The massage therapist Agnes was incredible, honestly one of the best massages I’ve had All in all, great hotel for our business meetings and would absolutely stay here again Thanks for making our stay a pleasurable experience

I was so excited to try this hotel for a few months now I stayed here one night and everything was just fine Everything was cleaned really no issues just nothing to tell other people about

The price is kinda high as well, I think the price is the main reason I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, doesn’t offer a good bang for your buck (In my opinion)

Lots of amenities Garage parking is included Restaurant is excellent, well run, friendly and reasonably priced

We had breakfast/brunch 3 days and it was very convenient and good Manager and wait staff were friendly and happy to please Housekeeping was excellent, cleaned rooms daily, facility is sanitary and spotless Gym, pool, saunas, hot tub were greatOnly criticism was sports club desk staff not attuned to running a hotel Maybe a post covid problem? No information in the rooms about hotel features, hours, etc Cable TV has problems with sound, but we were too busy to watch TVA Hollywood movie was being filmed there both nights of our stay A little inconvenient but definitely Chicago unique! We will definitely book again

Nic Van Til

Expensive, but worth the price Very upscale feel, clean rooms, and attentive staff Shoutout to Chase working the front desk

You have access to the fitness center facilities while you stay, so if that is something you are looking for, you will be very pleased with what they have on-siteThe connected restaurant/bar was also a great experience The food menu is somewhat limited due to the nature of it being a hotel restaurant, but what they do have is all incredible Actually very reasonable prices for drinks and food as well Good vibe at the bar if you need somewhere to escape to during your stay Bartenders were very friendlyThe only downside was trying to check-in early was essentially impossible due to the rooms not being ready, but we were able to get in around the guaranteed 4pm check-in time They will hold your bags for you if you arrive early and want to hang out at the bar or go somewhere else while you wait for your room

Ara Jaden

Overall this was a missed opportunity The service was lacking from checkout to departure The staff offered no info on amenities, didn’t ask whether I’d been there before, so my review speaks only to the hotel

Maybe it gets better? For me however, my experience was an elevator that smelled like sweat every day and a room with walls thin enough to hear slamming doors and weights dropping throughout my stay The pillows seemed to have waterproof covers that had to deflate before you could settle in Overall not a good experienceThe only positives I can really say they offered was the convenience of parking

Hotel is definitely dated, in need of upgrades for sure We had a few issues with our room (A/C went out, condensate line plugged and got the carpet soaked) however they relocated us to another room Staff was phenomenal with the exception of a front desk employee (a male) who got an attitude and acted like he wanted to go outside and fight

Want to thank Nathan for fixing everything!! He is good as gold

Ben Cerveny

Everything was very average or below in the rooms No fridge, just a “cooling box”, the toilet was put in crooked so the door would close in the tiniest of bathrooms and the whole place is from the 70s They are updating this year which is very needed

Also, the pool was closed even though the website says they have one The only savior is the bed was fairly comfy

Jack Oxley

The stay at the hotel was nice and quiet The food was very good as well as the service However, I pre-paid for a room through a third party company on 7/27 and 7/28 and then received an email from the hotel with charges for 7/28 for the room

I have been attempting to contact the accounting department to correct it several times leaving messages with no return or email correcting the additional charges This is bad customer service and wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless this has been corrected
