I came to a basketball tournament and didn’t realize we needed to get a room for early next day game I spoke with young lady that evening around 10:30pm and she said she had a room available!! This lady was sooo pleasant and basically answered my prayers knowing my sons and I were exhausted and needed a room As other hotels in area were either $300+ or no availability

Not sure of this ladies name but she definitely needs a RAISE and to be recognized for her kindness and hospitality for sure The room was very clean to include comfortable!! The next morning we went to breakfast which was also great The women serving was just as kind as the one who checked us in Also, the morning front desk was extremely kind as well I can not express enough how this Hotel goes out there way to welcome ALL!! They need to share their training with other HotelsThank you!!! To all the ladies!! Increase their salary because they definitely deserve it!! Great job!!!

My mother and son and myself had to take an unexpected trip and when my moms back started really bothering her and my son was exhausted and just wanted to stop and sleep we found this hotel off the next exit at almost 11pm on a Friday night! I think the price was almost $200 less than the surrounding hotels yet they are the cleanest and friendliest hotel in this 1 mile radius!! There is a HOT breakfast every morning and it’s good!! I would for sure stay again!! The staff is so incredibly nice and helpful and even showed my 9 year old son where the cookies and hot coco were in the lobby when we checked in!! I’d honestly say this is one of the best experiences in a hotel I’ve had in a very long time!! The pool area is being worked on but we never could tell and the rooms are super clean and bed is so comfortable I almost didn’t wake up on time the next day!! Thank you I will for sure return!!

We booked this hotel for one night August 3-4, 2022 We checked in but our room had a strong smell of old cigarette smoke The staff were so nice, helpful in changing our room

The second room was just as bad It smelled, was in terrible shape The bathroom shower was rusted, cracked on the side The tile was cracked, wallpaper peeling away It needs to close down and have some serious remodeling We ended up canceling our reservation that night The staff were understanding and gave us a refund The pictures online are not accurate They are edited to make the rooms look nicer, bigger and clean It’s an old, dirty hotel that was going to cost us $191 to stay Will not stay here and do not recommend this hotel

We were at this hotel for 4 nights for a baseball tournament and this was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! The staff made you feel welcome each time you walked through the door, they were all very friendly and they never stopped cleaning! It was one of the most well maintained hotels I’ve ever stayed at They were even all invested in knowing how our games went during the day! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Rocky Mount area!

We had to go to the hotel other building to get in the outside pool Pool was over capacity, look like people were coming from off the street getting into the pool They had a 32in tv hanging on the wall, could barely see the tv from the bed Walls and floor are thin, my kids running around was being heard by other guest (my apologies) Staff was super friendly

The water in the tub did not drain properly For our showers, we were standing in ankle-deep in water One of the chest drawers was brokenAlso, we have become accustomed to having a free breakfast in the morning before checkout Breakfast at this location was served in the adjoining restaurant for which they charged $12 per personI used my points for this stay for which I was charged 30000 points Mostly we stay at a Hampton Inn or a Hilton garden Inn for which we’re usually charged 20000 points and it includes breakfast I feel that 30000 points was excessive for this stayNext time I will rethink which brand I select

Me and my parents stayed here on our way from Florida to Maryland and the hotel was very clean, a bit outdated, and very good breakfast! Pedro works at the front desk and he was very sweetFirst, the breakfast was amazing! I had the eggs and a waffle and was delicious The apple juice, yogurt and muffins are also really good too

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here over the past 18 months Clean, comfortable, courteous staff and easy check in/check out Which are first and foremost the most important things for us

The first 2 times were good, hence the reason we’ve come back This time however was a little disappointing There was a dirty washcloth under the sink, which means they might not be cleaning as they should, otherwise it wouldn’t be there The shower had next to no water pressure and the body wash provided in the shower was totally empty The breakfast in the morning was not at all what it has been previous stays I mean, that’s complimentary which is nice but it was definitely a huge step down Not saying that Marriott sucks and all, we’ll continue to stay but maybe just not at this particular one anymore

The Marriott brand is my favorite I love Fairfield Inn On this visit the Vanessa person sucked in customer service

I was prompted by Marriott to check in early this person (being nice) turned me away twice When I go back at 2:50 pm she is checking people in I was there at 2 pm at Marriott’s request to check in early Anyway it is my turn to check in it is 310 This Vanessa person turns to the other gentleman and says can you check her in I’m on overtime and they don’t like that It took Derrick 3 minutes to check me in She is not a good customer service person But unfortunately companies are not hiring good customer service peopleAlso had a issue with the rate which was taken care of without any more effort from me by checkout No one ever contacted me about the issue but someone took care of the issue Customer service people

The Candlewood Suites (located in Rocky Mount) is a great location for a quick overnight stay, especially for travelers! Our room was clean, and the staff were very nice A huge bonus is that they take dogs! The reason I’m giving 4/5 stars is because our room’s A/C quit working right around the time we were getting ready to go to bed This required an unexpected late-night room change, which was a little inconvenient

However, the staff prioritized this issue and offered us a new room quite quickly, which was very helpful! Overall, it was a good experience

DID NOT HONOR MY GUARANTEED RATE! Made a reservation on January 25,for a 1-night stay, on April 30, at a rate of $165 Rec’d a confirmation email stating “…from the time the reservation is made, until the time of arrival, the confirmed rate is guaranteed” Upon arrival and check-in, I was handed a portfolio to initial, with a rate of $260

When I questioned the rate change, I was told it was due to a baseball tournament, and a concert in the area However, when I received an email reminder of my upcoming reservation, there was NO mention of a rate change The older gentlemen at the front desk was quick to tell me “you can cancel” and stated proudly “we can sell that room to someone else” NO apology or remorse for my inconvenience whatsoever As a Gold Elite member, I am truly appalled at the way the staff handled this situation! IHG needs to do a better job of training and managing its personnel at this location!

We stayed here in March on our way back North and it was a great stay! The hotel is in a good, secure area It is clean, and our room was a good size and quiet We were almost at the end of the hall

It was a perfect stopover for a long trip The lobby was nicely appointed The hotel was booked solid on a Saturday night but we didn’t have to wait to check in There is plenty of parking and plenty of space to walk the dogs Would definitely stay here again!

The front desk staff was MIA when I arrived When they showed up, they were apathetic about my arrival I asked for a cart, they said “we don’t know where they are” Then they said they have 4, then they said they had 3, finally they admitted they only had one I asked for a crib – keep in mind that I am a reward member at this chain and booked 2 suites at the maximum rate I was handed a crib (I still have no luggage cart) without eye contact One of the rooms smelled like urine The other one had a view of a wall out the window I went back to the front desk to explain the frustration and poor attitude I experienced and was given the same attitude I got before It was my fault that I didn’t request the crib earlier, nothing they could do about the room, I didn’t request a higher room without the obstructed view Not so much as an apology If you are looking for a neat/new building and don’t mind attitude from employees, this is your place If you are a frequent traveler, this place will likely boil your blood like it did minePSIt didn’t matter to me but the “owner decided not to open the pool this year” was what I was told when I checked in There is no pool despite being advertised

DisappointedWhen traveling through Rocky Mount, I usually stay at another hotel but, since I was traveling 10+ hours with a 7 year old this trip, I specifically chose this hotel for the indoor pool, so he could swim no matter what the weather was like After a very long day, I checked in and brought him down to the pool, only to find out it was drained and locked

I get it, things happen, but there was no notice of the pool being closed before, or during, check in, or I would’ve canceled my reservation and gone elsewhere By the time I found out, we were already settled into the room, and I wasn’t going to move at that pointThe hotel itself was very nice, and the room is comfortable but, in a town with at least a dozen other hotel options (most of which are more conveniently located along the highway), not having a functional pool on July is a deal- breaker for me

One of the worst I’ve ever stayed at I’ve seen rundown New Jersey motels that delivered a better experience than this Blood all over the men’s lobby bathroom, made us double pay as they claimed when we checked in that we couldn’t pay online (we did already) the wifi never did work for us

There were plenty of delicious restaurants right next door, and the fire pit was the perfect end to our evening I can highly recommend a getaway at River & Twine!

Clean and cool Everything as advertised Quick response from the hosts when we needed some more coffee! Fun time at the Mills and great food

We got rained out so we couldn’t hand by the fire pits but I’m sure it would have been cool Be ready to not even be able to sit up in bed though You’ll have to use the downstairs area for any non-sleeping bed adventures

Special!!! This tiny home amongst 19 tiny homes is set in a perfect location… The immediate area is home to several wonderful restaurants and pubs Walk about 3 min to your coffee in the morning and delicious lunch and dinners

The home we stayed in is beautifully crafted, clean and just right for a single or couple Clean as a whistle as the saying goes Tiny homes are tiny, so don’t be surprised, but all spaces are well planned Note: shower pressure in ours was really low Would I recommend you book this? Absolutely
